- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey, it's Mark Simone. Welcome to the bonus segment just
- 0:03Speaker 1: for you podcast listeners. So Iran, the Democrats just raying,
- 0:09Speaker 1: hoping it goes badly for the United States. I know,
- 0:12Speaker 1: they'll do anything to win an election. They don't want
- 0:14Speaker 1: this to go well. And then they'll argue it's an
- 0:17Speaker 1: endless war. Yeah, it's like seven weeks now, endless war.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It's a war of choice. Well, every war is a
- 0:22Speaker 1: war of choice. So they'll argue anything and everything. The
- 0:27Speaker 1: problem is, even the great Democratic polster Mark Penn, who's
- 0:32Speaker 1: probably the best polster, one of the wisest guys on
- 0:34Speaker 1: the Democratic side, has tried to tell them you got
- 0:38Speaker 1: to cut that out because defanging Iran, even if it's
- 0:42Speaker 1: not a complete, overwhelming, total surrendery, whatever it is, you've
- 0:46Speaker 1: really put Iran out of the terrorist business. They were
- 0:50Speaker 1: the terrorist sponsor of the world. They were the ones
- 0:52Speaker 1: funding Hamas has below the hooties. Well that's all over
- 0:55Speaker 1: now they have no money. They're out of business as
- 0:58Speaker 1: far as producing oil. We've completely neutered them. Just that
- 1:03Speaker 1: alone outweighs the cost of war, outweighs everything. You know.
- 1:08Speaker 1: The yell and screwmins are billion dollars a day. Yeah,
- 1:11Speaker 1: at the end it'll whatever, It'll be sixty billion. That's
- 1:14Speaker 1: say it's one hundred billion. The benefits is Mark Penn,
- 1:17Speaker 1: the great Democratic posters, pointing out far outweigh the costs
- 1:21Speaker 1: of war. You know, suddenly they're worried about spending money.
- 1:24Speaker 1: The Democrats will waste money on anything and everything. Crazy mom,
- 1:30Speaker 1: Donnie here in New York. A lot of people starting
- 1:32Speaker 1: to notice that it's mostly just talk. Now you've got
- 1:36Speaker 1: to worry about crime and everything. He's got to make
- 1:37Speaker 1: sure to keep a lid on that and keep the
- 1:39Speaker 1: NYPD strung. But when it comes to the other things,
- 1:43Speaker 1: he's going to tax this. He's going to tax that.
- 1:45Speaker 1: They don't know that they could actually get anything done.
- 1:48Speaker 1: His grocery stores. You're not going to see these grocery stores.
- 1:52Speaker 1: The original thing was one in each borough. Five grocery stores.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Now maybe one and the one he said it's twenty
- 2:00Speaker 1: twenty nine or something. You'll you'll never live to see
- 2:03Speaker 1: this grocery store. It will never happen. So privately they're
- 2:06Speaker 1: calling him the Potempkin Socialist. Remember Potempkin was. They created
- 2:10Speaker 1: a whole fake thing. The village was just an illusion.
- 2:13Speaker 1: It wasn't real. So Mom Donnie now known behind the
- 2:17Speaker 1: scenes as the Potempkin Socialist. He'll keep talking about stuff
- 2:20Speaker 1: and maybe once in a while, by accident, he'll get
- 2:23Speaker 1: one of them done, but most of it will never happen.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Even President Trump saying that privately to people after having
- 2:29Speaker 1: met with Mom Donnie, and nobody reads people better than Trump,
- 2:33Speaker 1: he said. The good thing is privately he'd say the guys,
- 2:36Speaker 1: guy's not brave, he's he has no courage, he's no guts.
- 2:40Speaker 1: He'll talk and talk and talk, but he won't really
- 2:42Speaker 1: get that much done. Hey, Michael Jackson, the movie came out, Michael.
- 2:47Speaker 1: It's made over two hundred million already, but it's created
- 2:50Speaker 1: a lot of business for the Michael Jackson estate. Since
- 2:55Speaker 1: the movie's out, Michael Jackson music sales are way up. Yeah, huge,
- 3:02Speaker 1: huge increases in sales, singles, albums, streaming all booming. Currently,
- 3:06Speaker 1: they're twelve Jackson songs in the iTunes Top one hundred.
- 3:11Speaker 1: It's about the same on Apple's top one hundred streaming.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Jackson also has more than a half a dozen albums
- 3:17Speaker 1: now in iTunes Top one hundred albums. It's pretty amazing.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So I mean a lot of relatives there that a state,
- 3:26Speaker 1: very very happy Sharon Stone. Did you know she was
- 3:29Speaker 1: a real whack job Sharon Stone. Sharon Stone is a
- 3:33Speaker 1: great actress, completely nuts in real life. Low IQ. She's
- 3:39Speaker 1: doing this interview Sharon Stone, and listen, you don't like Trump.
- 3:43Speaker 1: You don't like Trump. But she's explaining in the interview,
- 3:47Speaker 1: Trump photers are naive, they're uneducated. You know, they don't travel,
- 3:50Speaker 1: they don't have passports. The actual data, this is one
- 3:55Speaker 1: thing about left wing Hollywood. You just spew the narrative
- 3:58Speaker 1: whatever it is. The actual day, the actual metrics show
- 4:01Speaker 1: just the opposite. Trump voters are not naive, they're pretty educated.
- 4:05Speaker 1: They all travel, they got passports. But this is the
- 4:09Speaker 1: way they think, this is this elitist Hollywood nonsense. Actually,
- 4:14Speaker 1: you know, by demographics, more conservative, more conservatives have passports
- 4:19Speaker 1: than liberals. The actual demographic, the actual numbers, more conservatives travel,
- 4:23Speaker 1: more conservatives have passports. And by the way, you're going
- 4:27Speaker 1: to be able to get a Donald Trump passport. It's
- 4:29Speaker 1: a special edition coming out later this year. Now, I
- 4:32Speaker 1: don't know how that works. I guess you'll you'd have
- 4:35Speaker 1: to turn in your passport. I mean if you're lucky,
- 4:38Speaker 1: your passport is expiring and you can get one of
- 4:40Speaker 1: these Donald Trump passports with this picture as signature. But
- 4:44Speaker 1: otherwise I guess you'd have to exchange yours for that.
- 4:47Speaker 1: But I think they're only making a certain of only
- 4:51Speaker 1: a few hundred thousand them. Obviously, no liberals are going
- 4:54Speaker 1: to travel with that thing. You know this, Tucker Carlson
- 4:57Speaker 1: has gone crazy nuts, just became a wacko online. He's
- 5:02Speaker 1: become the new Alex Jones. But he's attacking Trump. He's
- 5:07Speaker 1: bashing Trump like crazy. So the left loves him. They're
- 5:11Speaker 1: doing all kinds of interviews with him. New York Times
- 5:13Speaker 1: did a massive interview with Tucker Carlson this because he
- 5:18Speaker 1: hates Trump. Suddenly they're fascinated by Tucker Carlson. But they
- 5:21Speaker 1: didn't like this part of it. In the interview, he
- 5:24Speaker 1: talked about when you come into a room with Trump.
- 5:26Speaker 1: He said he's spellbinding. He has a spellbinding quality. The
- 5:32Speaker 1: best part of the interview. I mean, first he said
- 5:34Speaker 1: he has a spell binding presence. It's kind of quality
- 5:38Speaker 1: that it's spellbinding. I think it probably literally is a spell.
- 5:42Speaker 1: You spend a day with Trump and he puts you
- 5:44Speaker 1: in this kind of dreamland. It's like smoking hash or something.
- 5:47Speaker 1: It's interesting, very interesting. There may be a supernatural component
- 5:51Speaker 1: to it. This In the New York Times interview, best
- 5:54Speaker 1: part of the interview. They confronted him with things he
- 5:56Speaker 1: said about Trump. You actually called him the Antichrist, And
- 6:01Speaker 1: I said, no that I didn't. I never said that,
- 6:04Speaker 1: and those words never actually came out of my mouth.
- 6:08Speaker 1: So then they played him the video clip of him saying,
- 6:11Speaker 1: but that's what happens when you get Trump arrangement syndrome.
- 6:14Speaker 1: It's one of the symptoms. You just spew out lies.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You just lie and lie and lie. Somehow they think, well,
- 6:20Speaker 1: if I'm lying about Trump, it's okay. Hey. You know,
- 6:23Speaker 1: there were rumors it was kind of a myth for years.
- 6:27Speaker 1: Ted Turner created CNN many many years ago, early eighties.
- 6:31Speaker 1: He creates CNN and he ran it, and he was
- 6:34Speaker 1: kind of, you know, he was an unbelievable entrepreneur, but
- 6:38Speaker 1: he was kind of a kind of a wacky side
- 6:40Speaker 1: to him. And supposedly when he started CNN, it was
- 6:44Speaker 1: the very first all news, twenty four hour day news network.
- 6:47Speaker 1: There'd been no such thing before. If you wanted to
- 6:50Speaker 1: watch the network News. You watched at six thirty. It
- 6:53Speaker 1: was over at seven, and he said, I come home
- 6:56Speaker 1: after seven. I get home at seven thirty. There's no news.
- 6:58Speaker 1: He said. People should be able. We'll turn on the
- 7:00Speaker 1: television INtime. They want to see the news. So it
- 7:02Speaker 1: was the first twenty four hour news channel. Obviously others
- 7:05Speaker 1: copied it, but he also made he secretly commissioned a
- 7:10Speaker 1: doomsday video because they said, how long is CNN going
- 7:14Speaker 1: to last? He goes, it'll last till the end of time,
- 7:18Speaker 1: till the end of the earth. We're going to be
- 7:20Speaker 1: on the So he commissioned a doomsday video and it
- 7:23Speaker 1: was meant to air only when the world came to
- 7:25Speaker 1: an end. This is always the rumor, the myth, But
- 7:29Speaker 1: apparently they found it. It's actually been uncovered. I guess
- 7:33Speaker 1: it's being posted online. It's a very eerie video that
- 7:37Speaker 1: features military bands from the Armed forces performing Christian hymns
- 7:41Speaker 1: and Nearer my God to thee But they found it
- 7:44Speaker 1: outside the network's original Atlanta headquarters. He had it made
- 7:48Speaker 1: right after the network started. But it does exist. I
- 7:51Speaker 1: think if you go online you can find it somewhere.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Hey in the Burger Wars Shake Shack had a rough time.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Shakes Shake Shack shares shook by sales shock. I try
- 8:04Speaker 1: saying that fast Shake Shack share shook by sale shock,
- 8:08Speaker 1: but Shake's Shake Shack shares down thirty percent. Now they
- 8:13Speaker 1: claim it was due to bad weather, high beef prices,
- 8:17Speaker 1: tourism declines. Bitter cold, rainy weather in January March kept
- 8:22Speaker 1: diners away, according I don't know if people stop eating
- 8:25Speaker 1: because it's cold out or it's snowing. I don't know.
- 8:28Speaker 1: At the same time, McDonald's posts strong earnings. McDonald's shares
- 8:33Speaker 1: up two dollars and thirty eight cents. They're doing very,
- 8:36Speaker 1: very well. In March, McDonald's launched the Big Arch. It's
- 8:42Speaker 1: like a big Mac, but it's great. It's more meat
- 8:46Speaker 1: less bread. It's delicious. It's I'm telling you, go to
- 8:49Speaker 1: McDonald's get a Big Arch. It's enormous burger. You'll love it.
- 8:54Speaker 1: It's great. It was about seven to fifty I think
- 8:57Speaker 1: it's up to thirteen dollars now in some locations, but
- 9:00Speaker 1: selling very well now. You know. Pickleball is a big,
- 9:04Speaker 1: big sport. Pickleball is becoming the national past time, especially
- 9:09Speaker 1: for senior citizens. Although I look at some of them numbers.
- 9:13Speaker 1: Apparently the average age of a pickleball player is something
- 9:16Speaker 1: like thirty nine. So but it's mostly a lot of
- 9:18Speaker 1: older people love it and they're building these pickleball courts everywhere.
- 9:22Speaker 1: But a lot of towns want to stop it. You
- 9:25Speaker 1: take glen Cove, Long Island, Beautiful glen Cove and Long Island.
- 9:29Speaker 1: They want to ban these pickleball courts from being built
- 9:33Speaker 1: because of the noise. It's a noisy sport. Even though
- 9:38Speaker 1: you don't hit the ball very far, there's all that
- 9:40Speaker 1: banging and clanging, and so a number of you can
- 9:44Speaker 1: see other towns follow this. Now the know. The thing
- 9:46Speaker 1: is he had tennis courts. They're very big. So when
- 9:49Speaker 1: you've got an area here, maybe you could put two
- 9:51Speaker 1: tennis courts. Now if you switch that to pickleball, you
- 9:54Speaker 1: could have eight pickleball courts. It's a lot more noise,
- 9:57Speaker 1: a lot more people, and if they're anywhere near a
- 10:00Speaker 1: wealthy neighborhood, they all go crazy and they're trying to
- 10:03Speaker 1: get these things banned. So starts in glen Coe. You
- 10:07Speaker 1: may see other cities ban their pickleball courts. Now, you know,
- 10:12Speaker 1: some people with this trump arrangement syndrome, are getting themselves
- 10:14Speaker 1: fired all over the place. Here's a Southwest Airlines flight attendant.
- 10:22Speaker 1: Actually it's a guy right after the White House correspondent.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Here the assassin was unsuccessful. This guy on TikTok, actually
- 10:32Speaker 1: originally on Facebook. It's the libs of TikTok picked it up.
- 10:35Speaker 1: This Southwest Airlines flight attenant tweets we need better assassins.
- 10:41Speaker 1: We've got to get better assassins. His name is Michael Carpino.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Pretty perverse. They found another thing where he posted eighty
- 10:50Speaker 1: six forty seven he called Maga the hillbilly isis. But Southwest,
- 10:56Speaker 1: as they're aware of, these posts were a dressing the situation.
- 11:01Speaker 1: While we don't comment on personnel matters, it does not
- 11:05Speaker 1: reflect our values and we take it seriously, not seriously
- 11:09Speaker 1: enough to get rid of the guy. But it is
- 11:12Speaker 1: a bad that. There was also a nurse who got
- 11:15Speaker 1: caught posting this kind of stuff, Cedars Sinai. I think
- 11:18Speaker 1: they actually got rid of her at that hospital. Hey,
- 11:21Speaker 1: we're talking about of food chains. McDonald's shake Check. Who's
- 11:25Speaker 1: the largest largest in America? Now? McDonald's is fourteen thousand
- 11:32Speaker 1: in America, fourteen thousand actually the world, fourteen thousand around
- 11:36Speaker 1: the world. Imagine a business where you got to keep
- 11:38Speaker 1: track of fourteen thousand restaurants. But the biggest is Subway. Yeah,
- 11:42Speaker 1: believe it or not, Subway nineteen thousand restaurants. But they're
- 11:47Speaker 1: closing a few. They just closed seven hundred, you know,
- 11:51Speaker 1: but they've been closing through the years. Ten years ago,
- 11:55Speaker 1: they had twenty seven thousand stores. Really everywhere. Look, I
- 11:59Speaker 1: see donald I don't see a Subway everywhere, but twenty
- 12:02Speaker 1: seven thousand stores. It's not bad. But Subway, let's be honest,
- 12:06Speaker 1: it's not great. And I don't think anybody's going to
- 12:10Speaker 1: ever hire their decorator. They are the worst looking places
- 12:13Speaker 1: that I mean. They just look horrible when you walk in.
- 12:16Speaker 1: You know, dunkin Donuts had that problem. Starbucks looked all
- 12:18Speaker 1: kind of sleek and modern and cool, and then the
- 12:21Speaker 1: dunkin Donuts look terrible. Although I noticed they're rebuilding them
- 12:24Speaker 1: all now, modernizing and making them look a lot slicker.
- 12:28Speaker 1: They're really good stores. They got much better coffee. But
- 12:32Speaker 1: the best one of the best fast food burger chain
- 12:34Speaker 1: in and out in California. They say they're never coming
- 12:37Speaker 1: to New York. They can't do business in New York.
- 12:40Speaker 1: They can't make it work. It's just too difficult with
- 12:42Speaker 1: the numbers, the rents, all that stuff. Hey, whatever happened
- 12:46Speaker 1: to Tiger Woods. Well, he's overseas. Remember he got permission
- 12:49Speaker 1: to leave the country go overseas for rehab. Apparently he's
- 12:52Speaker 1: in very intense rehab. They say intense psychological treatment. Three
- 12:57Speaker 1: month long rehab center. It's a facility in Zurich, Switzerland.
- 13:03Speaker 1: He's receiving physical and psychological attention, whatever the hell that means.
- 13:08Speaker 1: He's making tremendous strides getting rid of his addictions. His
- 13:14Speaker 1: girlfriend is Vanessa Trump, ex wife of Donald Trump Junior.
- 13:18Speaker 1: She's standing by him. She said, he's working with pain
- 13:22Speaker 1: management doctor, helping him deal with body pain. You know,
- 13:25Speaker 1: for all his addiction to painkillers, he really was in
- 13:27Speaker 1: tremendous pain. So you can kind of understand how it happened,
- 13:35Speaker 1: she says, a small number of people, Vanessa, the girlfriend,
- 13:39Speaker 1: his kids, Mark Steinberg, have been there visiting him, have
- 13:43Speaker 1: been with him. Hey, the war in Ukraine, how much
- 13:45Speaker 1: is that costing Russia? Well, one hundred million a day,
- 13:49Speaker 1: one hundred million a day. And this is what year,
- 13:54Speaker 1: five year, five of the war in Russia. You never
- 13:57Speaker 1: hear about it anymore. The Ukraine War, you haven't heard
- 14:00Speaker 1: about it in months. They don't even pay attention anymore.
- 14:03Speaker 1: But good for Ukraine. I mean, everybody thought the superpower
- 14:06Speaker 1: Russia wipe mount in two seconds. For five years they've
- 14:09Speaker 1: held off Russia. Hey, we're out of time, but thanks
- 14:12Speaker 1: for listening. This is the bonus segment. Glad you listened
- 14:15Speaker 1: to the podcast. If we really appreciate it and you
- 14:17Speaker 1: want to listen live, it's ten to noon every weekday
- 14:20Speaker 1: seven to ten wor Mark Simone here. Thanks for listening.
