- 0:00My name is X-45 with the B Forever Cool Podcast.
- 0:03My name is TJ with two wells and coffee.
- 0:05What's going on, man? How are things?
- 0:08And I just can't complain. We got another week of racing
- 0:11upon us, you know, a couple more weeks left.
- 0:13But I'm just happy to get to Washington racing, no doubt.
- 0:17And when you say a couple more weeks of racing, I assume you
- 0:19talk about Moto GP? Yeah, Moto GP and our World
- 0:22Super bikes done. But Moto GP still rolling?
- 0:25Yeah, Speaking of World Super Bike man, they had to test the
- 0:31NAFTA, obviously. I don't think we spoke since
- 0:34Alvaro Batista won his Second World title, right?
- 0:38No, but a lot, a lot has. A lot has happened since the
- 0:42season ended. I mean before the test.
- 0:44I mean, I know we was talking about all the changes.
- 0:48I mean we have a lot of people who are going to the new teams.
- 0:53So a lot of those, all those guys also tested.
- 0:56What top rack is going to BMW, right?
- 0:59Yep. We got Jonathan Ray going to
- 1:02Yamaha. Yep, We got what Eoni Eoni was
- 1:10testing out there as well and we got Rinaldi staying with the
- 1:15same manufacturer but new, new team, correct?
- 1:20Correct that. That's the part that's not
- 1:22crazy. I think the craziest thing is
- 1:23Inoni coming back after being out of professional racing for
- 1:31four years, right, for testing positive for banned substance.
- 1:35And he was, you know, one of the one of the guys as was, you
- 1:40know, top of the charts on day two time charts on day 2, which
- 1:44is pretty impressive. I mean you know, for being and I
- 1:47think he's in his 30s now too. So he's, you know, he's not to
- 1:50say he's over the hill or long in the tooth or anything like
- 1:53that, but definitely he's not one of the young guys coming in.
- 1:57And you know, he he he topped the time one.
- 2:00He was one of the top three. Oh yeah, I'm sure he been, he
- 2:04has been training up up until this point or at least staging 4
- 2:10comeback due to his banned substance situation.
- 2:18Banned You know so, but you know for someone being out and then
- 2:22step in. Into the plate and producing
- 2:25like that that's that is pretty impressive you know just just
- 2:29jumping on that type of bike and and just going out there and
- 2:33putting it down laps right and and Nicola Bugola did the same
- 2:37thing I know jacking up his last name forgive me for that he you
- 2:41know he he also another guy on the factory Ducati that was up
- 2:45the end of time charts and he he won the world super sport title
- 2:49and and so now he got the factory seat and you know even
- 2:53another another guy that that's that's up there and running in a
- 2:57test that which was pretty impressive.
- 2:59Well, I thought, my thing is when the test comes right are
- 3:04they looking for who's the fastest guy out there or they
- 3:07test in, you know, to see how you fit on the bike?
- 3:10I know they all testing that, but it always seems like they.
- 3:14They say this guy was the fastest in the test and everyone
- 3:17appreciates that more than someone improving on a new, new
- 3:23machinery, right? I think.
- 3:26And you know, I haven't, I haven't been in the world Super
- 3:28Bike camp or anything like that. But I assume like Nicola and
- 3:34Innone and I and I and I forget who the third I might have been
- 3:37Remy Gardner. I think the the newer ride is
- 3:41coming in, they're just trying to go fast.
- 3:43I think the seasoned guys are working out setups and and
- 3:46working out a lot of other stuff and suspension and all other
- 3:49things and unnecessary work because I think they might.
- 3:52They realize that, you know, being the top of the time charts
- 3:55in a test is not. The most important thing is
- 3:57making sure they're they're they are comfortable on the bike,
- 4:01they got a good feel for the bike, and the bike is doing what
- 4:04they wanted to do. Yeah, don't they want to like?
- 4:08See improvement. You know, like say if they want
- 4:12to add a add a different chain of sprocket or winglet or
- 4:17something. If they go out there to see if
- 4:19they can change time as opposed to just seeing if they're fast
- 4:22about it. Fast is out of everyone correct
- 4:24exactly that that that's what I'm thinking too.
- 4:26You know what I'm saying it it is that.
- 4:28So I like not seeing top rack up there or Ray or Batista or one
- 4:36of these guys. You know, it's you know, I
- 4:38don't, I'm not worried about that.
- 4:40I will say, I will say it's nice to see Axel Bassani on a factory
- 4:45team. I know he was probably gunning
- 4:47for the factory Ducati seat but he got the Cowie seat so I'm
- 4:51I'm, I'm, I'm happy to see him there.
- 4:53It it'll be interesting to see you know how Top Rock does on
- 4:59the BMW next season. Oh yeah, I'm just for him
- 5:03jumping off of the Yamaha. We know how Yamaha is doing,
- 5:06especially Moto GP. For him to jump on BMWI, Can't
- 5:10wait. I know watching the BMW and
- 5:13Motor America was really fun. They were, you know.
- 5:18Winning a lot of races, you know, just different series.
- 5:21But to see skilled right as top rack, see what he can do on a
- 5:26manufacturer we're not used to seeing.
- 5:28It's going to be interesting. Yeah.
- 5:30And you know, with girl off and some of these other guys, they
- 5:33were starting to crack the top, you know, seven, right.
- 5:36Probably It's just safe to say it's top ten, right.
- 5:38But they you know end of the season those guys were starting
- 5:41to you know get their sea legs underneath them on on under BMW
- 5:46you know yes top rack you know has a title and and he's a skill
- 5:52writer and but you know I would have said you know you know
- 5:56Scott Redden being a Moto GP guy finishing you know really high
- 6:00on the Ducati even though he didn't win a championship you
- 6:04know he he did he did you know give give a fight in the air.
- 6:07You know you know I think the skin the skill sets I what I'm
- 6:11trying to say is the skill sets I think is pretty Even.
- 6:13So I don't know if he's going to bring a lot more to BMW than
- 6:18Gerloff or Redding or you know one of these other riders that's
- 6:22already there, especially being a new rider and and and being on
- 6:27the Yamaha, you know? Well, it does help the BMW team
- 6:31or you know, I, I like Garrett Gerloff, you know, I was even
- 6:34from him for the beginning. But to have him come on, you
- 6:38know, and just get data from him and I mean as far as as the BMW
- 6:41team think they'll be really, really.
- 6:44Someone to mess with. Yeah I think so too because
- 6:47because Gerloff was he came from Yamaha.
- 6:49So I think you know for top rock probably he's the person to lean
- 6:52on the most because he came off of the Yamaha.
- 6:55I think for a couple of years maybe three years maybe two or
- 6:57three years that Gerloff was with Yamaha.
- 7:00So I, you know I do think that but I, I don't you know, again
- 7:04I, you know we'll see right. The BMW is is is is yet to be a
- 7:09champion bike so it'll you know we shall see because I I don't
- 7:15want to I don't want to I'm not trying to take anything away
- 7:17from top rock skill because he's definitely a skill rider by by
- 7:21you know but but so is Redding right.
- 7:24I mean so is you know you know so these are these are I'm not
- 7:27going to you know I'm saying like like Redding was in Moto GP
- 7:29from age 16 you know what I'm saying like or 15 or 16 or
- 7:33whatever. He was young in Moto GP so like
- 7:35I'm not I don't want to take it like I don't it it's unfortunate
- 7:38that I don't see Redding doing well.
- 7:39It hasn't done well on the BMW yet and and and even though he
- 7:43lost the factory seat and now he's on I forget the name of the
- 7:46team he's on but he's on the same team as as Gerloft.
- 7:51You know I, I I still think Redden is a skilled guy you know
- 7:55what I'm saying. So it's it's, you know, I'm not,
- 7:58I don't, I'm not knocking top rock.
- 7:59But like, you know, we just got to wait and see.
- 8:04Oh yeah, Do you think Albert Bautista, like, you know, what
- 8:10type of changes they made? To during this test because you
- 8:15know he's the he's the winner. I mean like, I mean he has
- 8:19improved the past two years being number one, but right.
- 8:24The thing is this, they added, I did, they made some changes,
- 8:27more changes than I know about, but they add 7K to weight for
- 8:32him because there's there's now a minimum weight that every
- 8:35rider has to be in. So he they had to add weight to
- 8:38his bike for him to make that minimum weight, right.
- 8:41So yeah yeah. So I believe it's 7 kilos and
- 8:48it's going to take some getting used to.
- 8:50You know I can only donate my biggest The only way I can
- 8:52really tell I'm I don't know what my like.
- 8:54So when I ride my Multistrada, I got a top you know I got a top
- 8:57case on the back and I got a backpack full of not full of but
- 9:01I got a laptop and and and and and stuff in it right.
- 9:04And I noticed the difference when I ride that bike on the
- 9:07street, when I take corners and stuff like that, when my
- 9:09backpack is in the in the top case versus when it's not.
- 9:13You know, you probably notice a difference when you have a full
- 9:15tank of gas on your bike or most people do on their bike versus
- 9:18when they get like low, you know or you know you notice if if
- 9:22you're pushing your bike right you, you know what I'm saying
- 9:25you you'll you'll get a feel. So you know that's something
- 9:29he's going to have to get used to.
- 9:31You know, he could get fatigued by the process.
- 9:35He may have to bulk up, which could make him a little bit more
- 9:37less flexible because of it. He's also an older rider as
- 9:41well. So you know that.
- 9:44I remember when motor GP guys started having the shoulder Cam
- 9:50and they talked about the weight, the weight with just
- 9:53having the Cam, the camera on on on their shoulder and and just
- 9:57the difference that made and that camera I got to assume is
- 10:01is is a lot lighter than than the weight they're putting on
- 10:04Alvar's bike. Well, you think they're just
- 10:07trying to slow him down? Because I know Danny for Jose is
- 10:10like, man, if y'all added some weight to my bike, I'm telling
- 10:12you because I don't go ahead now.
- 10:17I was going to say it's just I don't know the rules that they
- 10:20come out with every year. You know for him went in two
- 10:23years in a row, you see the Ducati improving.
- 10:28I don't know why his weight has to come into play.
- 10:31Well, when he's winning it, it comes into play because of his
- 10:35weight. He's always going to have more
- 10:37tire at the end of the of of the race.
- 10:42But here's the downside of being that light.
- 10:45If it's if it's cold out, he doesn't have enough weight to
- 10:48heat, keep heating and tire like.
- 10:50And that was the biggest thing with Danny Pedroza on on colder
- 10:53race days he wasn't heavy enough to keep enough weight keep
- 10:56enough heat in the in the tires on on on on that type of thing.
- 11:00So it's one thing when it's when it's hot out and and you know
- 11:04it's it's it's he's going to get the grip he need because the the
- 11:07he got that heat out there. But you know when it's chilly
- 11:10out or colder temperatures I should say it's harder for him
- 11:14to generate heat in the tires. So there's pros and cons to that
- 11:17and you know, and I don't know I'm not and I don't on one hand
- 11:22I was just bringing up Scott Redden on the other.
- 11:24Now I'm going to sit here from to my knowledge he's one of the
- 11:27writers that complained about you know Alvaro being so light
- 11:31and they should so and now we have a weight thing right.
- 11:34So and and when he won the first title I believe or or you know
- 11:38and and so you know in in our racing world in like the Super
- 11:44sport class there is a weight class on certain on certain
- 11:47bikes so they're they're already in place bike and rider has to
- 11:51be certain rate weights and stuff like that that type of
- 11:54thing and and so for Alvaro it's tricky although you know I think
- 12:00muscle and you know a big heavier bike around you know you
- 12:06know he's just going to have to act like it's a I'm not even
- 12:09going to say but he I think he'll figure it out.
- 12:12All right. He'll figure it out for sure.
- 12:14I mean, I think it would make him a little bit faster to be
- 12:19honest. Well, he doesn't need to be
- 12:22though, right? Because he can.
- 12:23Help. No, he doesn't.
- 12:24Because you saw what he'd done this year, right?
- 12:27He hung around until halfway through the race and then.
- 12:31He didn't have to. He didn't have to leave the race
- 12:33at all. Yeah.
- 12:34And then he just picked his way through when everybody else was
- 12:36eating their tires up. He didn't have to worry about
- 12:38that. But he also had to build heat in
- 12:40his tire as well. So it's not like he was sitting
- 12:41here, you know, you know, thinking about what he's going
- 12:44to have for lunch, you know? But I I saw for him the racing
- 12:47was easier because, you know, you saw how top rock, top rock,
- 12:52even though he won that last race, you saw what he had to do
- 12:57to win the last race. You know what I mean?
- 13:00Like, yeah, that like, like, I mean like they had.
- 13:02Like go ahead. They had what, 25 overtakes?
- 13:06It was something ridiculous and and and top rock was was beyond
- 13:11the limit. He rode beyond the limit and you
- 13:15can't do that. I thought they both were.
- 13:17I thought they were both wrong. No, no.
- 13:18You know what they said? No, no, there's a side.
- 13:22You think Bautista was just like, all right, I got you.
- 13:24Just keep doing what you gotta do.
- 13:26I think there's a side that he let him just get it.
- 13:30I think there's a side that this is just like I got the title and
- 13:34and and he's this is the only this is the he was the only dude
- 13:38that that even gave him a fighting chance.
- 13:40Right. Honestly.
- 13:41Honestly. Right he was the only dude that
- 13:42was just like no one else wants to step up.
- 13:44I'm going to step up every weekend and he did that every
- 13:47weekend. Yeah I mean he he did it every
- 13:50weekend and and you know and it tore him up when he did that and
- 13:54and and the tire blew out because it was that same kind of
- 13:58race that he had that last round.
- 14:00It was like it was just kind of like yo, he was giving
- 14:02everything he had and I don't think Batista was doing the same
- 14:06thing. He wasn't giving it everything.
- 14:08He was being as competitive, but he I he wasn't riding over his.
- 14:12He might have rode over his limit here and there, but he
- 14:14wasn't right over like top rack rode over his limit the entire
- 14:18race. Well I mean I guess he did
- 14:21because the the last lap he had a little where I've been the
- 14:24incident with a track clinic warning so pushing back but you
- 14:30know that that was that was a. I couldn't imagine being the
- 14:36type of race like that, fighting against a friend overtaken 25
- 14:40times or you know, in in NHI mean a couple of times here and
- 14:45there. But like they were doing in
- 14:47every other corner. It was impressive.
- 14:50It was, it was. And so I mean no.
- 14:57Redden was just as impressive. What on on the year.
- 15:01The first year he was on the Ducati.
- 15:03I don't know what happened the second year and he was riding
- 15:06the heck out of that bike as well.
- 15:09Not to you know not to the I don't want to say not to the
- 15:14level but Top Rock had to ride the Yamaha that way.
- 15:17It is what it is. He didn't.
- 15:19They didn't. He was not on the Ducati.
- 15:21So he had to ride the bike that way now.
- 15:24And I and I say all to say it's it's interesting because
- 15:30Alvarez, the only guy on a Ducati and World Super Bike,
- 15:33right, that I don't know who finished third place, but I
- 15:36think it was Jonathan Rader finished third place, right.
- 15:39Yeah. So.
- 15:40So where you look at Moto GP you got you know the first three
- 15:44guys in the in the in the championship of Ducatis.
- 15:47So it does. It does make you wonder how come
- 15:51Bassani Rinaldi, all these other Ducati writers, only President.
- 15:58He's the only one that's been moving forward.
- 16:00He's the only one, one of the only ones.
- 16:01I shouldn't say he's the only one because you know Bassani and
- 16:04Rinaldi have have have been there but they've been there for
- 16:08their contract for the last. You know they've they've been
- 16:10there for a few years now but they they didn't have the same
- 16:14you know you see like Martin and and Pekko is battling it and and
- 16:18Bazecki is trying to pull up the third.
- 16:20You don't you know there's still a Yamaha and and a Kawasaki
- 16:24before there's another Ducati. So it's kind of like these other
- 16:28riders. If if adding the weight to
- 16:33Alvarez bike and then all of a sudden you got a bunch of a
- 16:36bunch of Ducatis in the top five next season or something like
- 16:40that, then you know it it does show that the lighter, the
- 16:43lighter guy on the bike is going to do do do the best job out
- 16:47there. But these other you know Marty,
- 16:52I mean I don't know if the same weight will apply to Martine
- 16:55because Martine is like Alvaro and I think I said this in the
- 16:58last show. So it's possible why he he's
- 17:01also being able to to to get that extra inch or half inch or
- 17:06quarter inch off of of of of of of the rest of the people.
- 17:11So weight does matter to a degree, but you could also be
- 17:14too light for a bike, you know as well as Danny Pedroza was in
- 17:18the end of his career. Hang on, are you there?
- 17:26Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 17:27OK. Yeah.
- 17:28You just broke up for a little bit, so go ahead and say what
- 17:30you want. To say I was, I was going to say
- 17:32Mark Marquez is about the same size as Jorge Martin.
- 17:37There's a couple other racers generally around the same height
- 17:40and weight, right? You know, I know Petco is one of
- 17:43the taller ones, I would say. And Mogadeli.
- 17:47Yep. Oh yeah.
- 17:48Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 17:49Yeah. But yeah, I mean I'm looking at
- 17:54the championship standings right now for World Super.
- 17:57But like I mean our Bautista finished with 628 points with
- 18:02top rack was following with 552. So that's a huge difference.
- 18:07I mean if you go to 3rd place with Jonathan Ray with 370, so
- 18:12like that's almost double from what Bautista has.
- 18:15So maybe they they needed to. Change something up now.
- 18:20Is it just for someone who of his weight caliber, like is
- 18:25anyone else in what and Russell bike.
- 18:27He's in caliber, right? He's not heavy enough, so
- 18:29they're going to add weight to the bike.
- 18:31Someone else will probably have to lose weight if you know like
- 18:34like a Pitucci. When he came into Moto GP, he
- 18:38was heavy as hell, so he had to lose weight.
- 18:41I don't know. I doubt his situation is like
- 18:43that now because he's he's looking pretty lean right now.
- 18:47So I think for the bigger guys they they have to stay they have
- 18:51to stay slim and and and keep that weight off.
- 18:54But if you know if if you're a small rider and and you know
- 18:58Aaron Connect for instance come out to Motor World Super Bike
- 19:01for some reason he's going to he's probably going to have to
- 19:04add weight as well to the bike you know.
- 19:07So it's not everyone and I got to assume adding weight to your
- 19:11body and weight to the bike is, is different because at least
- 19:15the weight to the body can be you know, you know separate, you
- 19:19know just spread throughout your body, right.
- 19:22It's not in one place and and maybe they're doing that with
- 19:24the bike as well. Who knows.
- 19:25But you know, I, I, you know it's going to be tricky because
- 19:30you know, you can't put weight on the wheels.
- 19:32Yeah. It's like we we going to put it
- 19:34maybe that you know the bottom of the engine.
- 19:36You know that's the best place probably.
- 19:38But I'm not a physician. I'm not a I'm not a physics
- 19:40major. So you know what I'm saying?
- 19:43I think you. Think the the center would be
- 19:45the best cuz you put it in the front.
- 19:46You know the you mean burning more brakes and tires and yeah,
- 19:50yeah, yeah, so I don't know. So versus you know, if you just
- 19:53need to gain £5, you're gonna get it gain it everywhere.
- 19:57So what? What?
- 19:58What if he just takes a lot of? You know, energy, muscle, things
- 20:04and and just eat a lot. It gains weight, but they still
- 20:08have to throw at it. I suspect, you know, like a like
- 20:10a marathon training, training to lose weight, you know, to make a
- 20:14deadline. Yeah, to make a weight, make a
- 20:16weight, a weight class. I mean, I suspect, you know, who
- 20:19knows, but maybe that's what they're doing.
- 20:21That's why they weren't worrying about times, you know, this past
- 20:25weekend and and maybe he realized, look.
- 20:27You can have a 7 on a bike or you can put you know four on you
- 20:31with three on you. We can put four on the bike and
- 20:34and and and because that would probably makes more sense to to
- 20:37break it up. If not, you know it.
- 20:39Or if he can put the whole thing in his body, then the bike is
- 20:42agile and he has muscle memory from the bike and you know
- 20:46heavier muscles takes a little bit of getting used to, but
- 20:50that's just going to be reaction time and and just.
- 20:54You know you're going to slow down a little bit for sure, but
- 20:57you know what your muscles you're going to speed up as
- 20:59well. So you really, it's really just
- 21:01you getting used to your muscles.
- 21:03And you know, I I think it's going to be, I don't know, I
- 21:07maybe they try it with the bike now and then he tried.
- 21:10He adds some weight and they take weight off the bike and
- 21:12they see which one, which one feels better.
- 21:15Oh yeah, Unfortunately, they're gonna have to try the bike
- 21:18first. I don't.
- 21:19Know exactly it's gonna take all the way and what day.
- 21:21You know he. I don't know I don't I think the
- 21:24calendar is out but and I think they're probably gonna start
- 21:26racing in March so you know you got you got some time I listen
- 21:30man I think I gotta lose about seven key I gotta lose some
- 21:34weights off my my my my my my body right now.
- 21:37So I mean, I I wait, I guess it's just how you build, you
- 21:42know, it's hard for me to gain weight, I say.
- 21:44Yeah, I mean, you can lose weight, but.
- 21:46You're you're still at a place where you metabolism is pretty
- 21:51fast, so you don't have to worry about that right now.
- 21:53But trust me, there's some people out there saying, look
- 21:55man, I could look at a bag of chips and I gain a pound.
- 22:00I mean, Thanksgiving is coming up too, so he better gets the
- 22:04heating. Yeah, no doubt.
- 22:05No doubt. So yeah, man, let's get into
- 22:07Moto GP, man, because we're in Malaysia.
- 22:12Yep, And a nice fast track. Nice fast track.
- 22:17Yeah, it's a long track too. You know, it's interesting
- 22:22because last year when, and I think I mentioned this to when
- 22:25Pekka was fighting for the Championship, they talked about
- 22:28team orders. But this year, when is Ducati
- 22:341-2 and three? I mean, Ducati could just say
- 22:36team orders, right and just give it to Pekko, right?
- 22:39They can just say, look, man, you having fun do all that?
- 22:44It's like Phil Jackson, you know?
- 22:47I'm saying some records are not meant to be broken and pulled
- 22:50out Kobe when he scored 81 and he could have probably scored
- 22:54another 20 something and broke Kareem.
- 22:56Scoring, scoring. Right.
- 22:59So I don't think it was Kareem. Maybe it was Walter, one of
- 23:01these guys. Well, they had a hundred.
- 23:03Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:04Yeah. Yeah, you know what I'm saying?
- 23:05So it could be the powers in Ducati's hand, right?
- 23:11They they can literally pick who they want as the winner.
- 23:14Yeah, that that is crazy. That the how the Cards played
- 23:17out, you know, over the past two years.
- 23:21But now you know they can direct who they want as a winner like
- 23:26you said. Because before when you had like
- 23:29Ducati they had a whole bunch of points and the other Ducati
- 23:33rider didn't have a lot of. Yeah, yeah and you had to block
- 23:38him out. I had to block Fabio as best you
- 23:40can or you know, different manufacturer and that take away
- 23:45from the rider who's has nothing to do with it, who wants to, you
- 23:49know participate and like, no, I want to, I have a chance to win
- 23:52this and you try to have me play the game for, you know.
- 23:56Right. Right and and right and and
- 23:59that's the thing and I and I think you know any writer any
- 24:02person is probably going and that's what Peco said last year.
- 24:04He is like I don't want team order.
- 24:06Let's see what happens right. And and there's a writer that is
- 24:09the mentality right. But you know I you know if if
- 24:13Ducati is thinking if Ducati is looking at the if Ducati is
- 24:17looking at the long picture. They want Peco to win Hoy
- 24:22Martinez. He's not go they.
- 24:24Don't they don't want to win? No, no, no, no, no.
- 24:27Seriously. If Ducati's thinking about
- 24:28listen, it's a factory bike, that's not fair.
- 24:32Factory right. But it's a factory team right
- 24:35And and if if if, if you would ask any of them dudes and and I
- 24:40don't want to bring race into it but you got an Italian on
- 24:43Italian manufacturer they want that guy to win.
- 24:48That that I'm telling you and they they want that guy to win
- 24:52and you can kind of see it. You can kind of see it because
- 24:56when when when when the camera pans on in the Ducati paddock
- 25:01and you see these guys they went when when Martinez out in front.
- 25:05They're not they they they they don't look like they're rooting
- 25:08for him. I hate to say it like that but
- 25:10they don't look like they're rooting for him like that.
- 25:12When they win, they give him the hug and they give him a high 5.
- 25:14But if you go and see when Pekko win, it's a different kind of
- 25:17love. And and and it is, I mean you
- 25:21can, you can see it. So I mean I do believe that and
- 25:26again if you're in business, you want your factory team to win.
- 25:29You want your factory team to go back-to-back like that's that's
- 25:32what you want. You know what I'm saying?
- 25:34And again, there's no loser for Ducati in the long run, because
- 25:38one or two, unless something happens these last few round, a
- 25:41Ducati is going to win a championship, right?
- 25:44So I mean, but you know it it's it's kind of like, do you have a
- 25:48favorite child? Yes, I do.
- 25:50And he likes rap. And always, I don't think that's
- 25:56fair. I just don't think that's fair.
- 25:59I think, I think Martin, be the one that'd be like screw your
- 26:02orders. No, listen, man, I don't.
- 26:05Listen, you know, I don't want to say he's the bastard child,
- 26:09but I mean that's they they they're going to pay it out that
- 26:15way. That's.
- 26:16You know, you know, say, so you're rooting for the underdog,
- 26:18right? You know, say you're rooting.
- 26:20You know, if you watch these, these, these these these movies
- 26:23and TV shows and stuff like that, you know, you know, and
- 26:26the King gotta got like 13 bastard kids, you know what I'm
- 26:29saying? And you know it is what it is,
- 26:31but you know. They do.
- 26:34I feel like you would. I mean you would.
- 26:36It is, it is, this is business, you know what I'm saying?
- 26:39At the end of the day, you want your factory team to win.
- 26:41You think in in Formula One. You know you think McLaren
- 26:45wants. You think Mercedes want McLaren
- 26:47to Cook to win. Not McLaren.
- 26:49That's Austin Martin or whoever has the the same engine.
- 26:52I think it's Austin Martin. You think they want them to win?
- 26:54No, they want. They want Lewis and and Russell
- 26:57to win. You know what I'm saying?
- 26:59The same thing with Red Bull and all these teams.
- 27:01Oh, they want the factory teams to win.
- 27:02They don't want the satellite and the other teams to win.
- 27:04And you got the same engine. You know what I'm saying?
- 27:07Because Ducati is paying meant for these guys.
- 27:09They're not. You know another thing they're
- 27:10not paying meant for for, oh, hey, and Zako.
- 27:14But the fact your factory team means you're getting bigger
- 27:16money, I think you know that is true.
- 27:20I think it's my theory is a little bigger than that.
- 27:23Like, I think they're afraid, just slightly.
- 27:27They want PECO to win for sure. But if Pory Martin pulls this
- 27:32out, you know the decision that they didn't choose him last year
- 27:35to be a factory rider and now if he wins they would have to make
- 27:40a decision. Like, they don't want that
- 27:44decision right now, so they want PECO to win.
- 27:47They're not going to focus on Martin Another.
- 27:49Time. They can't.
- 27:50They can't. They will.
- 27:53And and Neo Bastianini, it's not his fault.
- 27:56So they no, no, not at. All they can't get rid of him
- 28:00and and and they already said they'll lose them all the money
- 28:02if they did. Does does, oh hey deserve the
- 28:06seat? Yeah, but so does Bazecki.
- 28:08Bazecki was close. You know what I'm saying?
- 28:11So you know, I'm not taking anything away from him.
- 28:14But so, so out of, out of loyalty.
- 28:18Bassini has to keep that in end contract.
- 28:20I mean out of contract, not even loyalty.
- 28:23But you'd want to see loyalty, right?
- 28:25Because the IT was no fault. It was no fault he was taken
- 28:27out. It was no fault.
- 28:28I mean it was the second time he he took everybody out.
- 28:30It was that that was his fault. But the first time was not his
- 28:33fault and and so they got to give him a chance and for and
- 28:37they can pay they can they can give him a factory contract and
- 28:40he's still on Primax. So you know it's not like he's
- 28:45missing the money. It's not like he's missing the
- 28:46bike. He just don't have the red color
- 28:49right at the end of the day that's what that's what
- 28:51literally what it comes down to at that point.
- 28:53It's like you they're paying you the money and they're painting
- 28:56and and you're getting the bike. So realistic is that but you
- 29:01know so you know but if if if it's it's hard to say with
- 29:06Ducati would regret not giving Jorge the seat.
- 29:10I think Jorge not getting the seat is motivation for him doing
- 29:13what he's doing this year. Right.
- 29:16But Bassini did have a better year last year and was more
- 29:20consistent last year than he was, especially at the end of
- 29:22the year. Well, I know Jorge Martinez
- 29:26first year motor GPI think he won.
- 29:29I'm not sure. I think one or two GP Grand Prix
- 29:33that he got #1, which is kind of impressive, so I thought his
- 29:37second year would be a lot better, but you know he had his
- 29:40ups and downs as he's still going through now, right and.
- 29:44Ambassador. And he came through and killed
- 29:45it. Killed it.
- 29:46Yeah, he did. He he he he rode.
- 29:50He rides last year because he didn't really ride this.
- 29:54He's not riding this year even though he's on a bike.
- 29:56He rode last year, like how Zako's riding this year.
- 30:00Right. Strong at the end of races.
- 30:03Strong at the end of races and and and so he deserved that seat
- 30:08and and you know if he didn't get taken out it could have been
- 30:12Peko and him this year instead of instead of Martine or it
- 30:17could have been Martine him, Bazecki, it could have been four
- 30:20of them. I'm not, you know, I don't want
- 30:21to. I don't want to take anyone out
- 30:22of it. But definitely.
- 30:25Martine has been right. Martine at the end of the season
- 30:27is right. Like how Pecker wrote it in the
- 30:29last season. And you know, I don't know if
- 30:35the mistakes he made already cost them.
- 30:39You know, sometimes when you show your cards too soon, you
- 30:42know it. It gives extra motivation to
- 30:44other people. So you know I'm saying you know
- 30:48sometimes you, you know I think he tried to dominate some races
- 30:52and crashed out and or wore his tire out and he figured out this
- 30:55last one and and did what he needed to do.
- 30:57But now you know. Peko Saw is seeing this and and
- 31:03and and I'm, you know at at the moment you know, unless or
- 31:08unless. Jorge Lorenzo.
- 31:11Mark Marquez. A whole bunch of other seasoned
- 31:15riders are are sitting here in in oh, Hey's camp.
- 31:18And don't get me wrong, I know that you know Alesh and Renz and
- 31:24a bunch of other guys they're tight with, but that VR6 Academy
- 31:27is is a monster. They're like, they're like
- 31:31Avengers, you know what I'm saying?
- 31:33You know they're, they're, they're so you know when you,
- 31:36when, when, when you got, when you're surrounded, like, like
- 31:40they're surrounded. I think these last few rounds
- 31:44you're, you're going to see a different peckle.
- 31:48Yeah, like I said, Peckle is going to have to step it up.
- 31:51These last few rounds especially.
- 31:53I mean, his team is pushing for him.
- 31:54Like there's only so much they can do.
- 31:57So he's, he's going to have to step it up.
- 31:58He's going to have to be in Q2 right away.
- 32:00Yeah. Yeah.
- 32:01And he's got like no second row. He's at the front row.
- 32:05Hey. Keep this in mind, right?
- 32:07Think about this for a second, right?
- 32:09He's for this. Second or one races with bad
- 32:13qualifying. No, I know.
- 32:16I know it it. It mine like you know, Oh yeah,
- 32:19I have, you know. Quarantine is doing backflips.
- 32:22But like, you know this dude. No, that's not.
- 32:25No. But you don't say.
- 32:27But you know, but you know, you know this, this, like like, you
- 32:30know, you do realize this dude had to come through the field on
- 32:33you. Oh, I know, I know.
- 32:36But you know, like, it's crazy because Martinez, the king of
- 32:39poles, you know, he'll start in the front, so you got to worry
- 32:43about him because you know, he can run away, right?
- 32:46But he also the. Thing is this though, not to cut
- 32:48you off. He, he, he, he, he getting pole
- 32:54and and going a distance of two separate things, 02 separate.
- 32:57Things and I and I think Peko don't care what you do in in the
- 33:01getting the pole. But I I know Peko cares.
- 33:04He should be in the first row for sure.
- 33:07Well, I don't think Martine can afford to be where Pekko.
- 33:10No, no, no, no. I mean and vice versa.
- 33:13Well, I think that Pekko has a little bit more experience
- 33:16because he shows that he can come from the back and manage
- 33:18the tires. I don't know if Martine can come
- 33:20from the back and manage the tires to the end of the race.
- 33:23Can he come from the back, not the back, middle, whatever, you
- 33:26know, you know, 4 rows down, 5 rows down, he can come through,
- 33:31but can he's manage the tires. That's the difference.
- 33:36Do you think that race at what was it Catalunya?
- 33:39Do you think that race at Catalunya where Echo led the
- 33:42race and basically lost control and they have no idea what
- 33:47happened to the bike? You think that affects him a
- 33:49little bit to try to lead a race?
- 33:51At this moment I I think slightly, but you know, every
- 33:56experience because since that happened he's been fighting from
- 33:59the back, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 34:00Yeah. No, it is.
- 34:02There's something, maybe there's something about the bike he
- 34:04doesn't trust because they've yet this.
- 34:06Tell us what happened. And so he hasn't LED a race
- 34:09since then and and I don't know. Yeah, yeah, I know that.
- 34:12Yeah. And he had a yeah, I don't know.
- 34:14Maybe there there, there could be some truth for that maybe.
- 34:16Look, man, listen, when I crashed in 2017, man, it it took
- 34:22me, it took me a little bit to get comfortable going through
- 34:24Turn 3 at Loudon. You know what I'm saying?
- 34:27And and and and and and I got. I got ran over by another rider.
- 34:32And and so yeah, you know, we're human beings.
- 34:34You know what I'm saying? And I'm not.
- 34:37I'm not and I'm not. I'm not sitting here saying I'm
- 34:39a motor GP rider by any stretch of imagination.
- 34:41But we're human beings. It doesn't matter if you're a
- 34:43motor GP rider or you're one of us.
- 34:46Do you know doing the backyard boogie it It is.
- 34:50You know, yeah incidents are going to shake us and and and
- 34:52we're going to have to get over them and confidence are going to
- 34:55get shook and and that's that's the thing it's like.
- 34:58It's it's the adversity, right? It's how we handle that right at
- 35:02the end of the day, because you're not going to have a
- 35:04season without adversity. It's really just how you handle
- 35:07it exactly. And he is just also just not
- 35:11trying to throw it away, because if he is in 1st and throws it
- 35:16away again like he has before, not this year, but that's 25
- 35:21points gone. You know he can't.
- 35:24He can't. He can make it up being in 15th
- 35:27trying to get scrounge with points.
- 35:29Right, being in the lead. But I think that fall had a
- 35:33little bit to do with why he's not in the front.
- 35:37Because I know like like you said, I loud and I crashed in
- 35:39two corners there and now I have two corners where I'm a little
- 35:43iffy, you know? No, just the game.
- 35:47It takes a while to gain that back.
- 35:48Yeah, definitely, for sure. So, you know, either way, I'm
- 35:52Moto GP is exciting to watch. I'm rooting.
- 35:54I'm rooting for Ducati 1. I'm rooting for Petco, but I
- 35:58also like, I'm not going to, I can't deny what what Martine is
- 36:02doing. He's he's, he's, he's he's
- 36:05riding like or hey Lorenzo, he's riding like Danny Pedroza.
- 36:11You know, I, I, I, I might can even say Casey Stoner in the
- 36:15mix, right? You know, because these guys,
- 36:18when they get out front, they just ghost.
- 36:19You know what I'm saying? He has a he has the momentum
- 36:23right now. Like, like if you know sporting
- 36:26events where someone has the momentum, they take the soul out
- 36:29of you basically, you know, like he he's, he's still in the
- 36:32momentum right now. And Pekko got a break last race
- 36:36with Brenda, the Bender incident, you know, got four
- 36:39more points. Back and Pekko is going to have
- 36:42to give that BMW to to to Bender if he was the title this.
- 36:47Year by five points, right? He he gonna have to give
- 36:52something because you know and and but that's experience,
- 36:56right? And Brad should you know Brad.
- 36:59Brad should know. You know what I'm saying?
- 37:01Especially after the first two times he should know.
- 37:05And that's the part. I mean, I don't.
- 37:09I think that last race based on where he was.
- 37:12I don't. I don't think there was another
- 37:13option for him. I don't, you know, I don't, I
- 37:15don't think there was another place for his bike, just based
- 37:19on how how the situation unfolded.
- 37:21So you know what I'm saying? He wanted that first.
- 37:24Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I don't, I don't, I don't
- 37:26think he's not like, oh, I could have pulled my bike over some
- 37:28more to the left or something like that.
- 37:30Because that that's all, you know, I'm saying that that
- 37:33that's so it it's unfortunate, but you know we're talking,
- 37:37we're talking like 2 inches in here, one or two inches of that.
- 37:41And and yeah, so you know, if you know if if Peko had access
- 37:45to the private jet, hopefully Brad flew back with him.
- 37:48You know what I'm saying, 'cause he he definitely that like that
- 37:54that white points made a different and.
- 37:56And the crazy part about this right for Martine right now
- 38:00think about this and and I'll go back to like Top Rock for a
- 38:04second when you ride your ass off and you only get five more
- 38:07points than a person behind you. And no, seriously, Because
- 38:11Because you know Martine did, right?
- 38:13He rolled his ass off. You know what I'm saying?
- 38:15And and then and so on one hand you're like, yeah.
- 38:19On the other hand, you're like, he's right behind me.
- 38:23Like how? You know what I'm saying?
- 38:25So that that also has to be a little bit of blow because, you
- 38:29know, because you know you're giving it that much more.
- 38:33And it's just like, yo, this dude.
- 38:34And again, if I'm recognizing it, it's like this dude started
- 38:37way back. And he finished second and and
- 38:41and you now, so you have to say here and go, OK and and what
- 38:45happens if I'm one and he's two. You know what I'm saying?
- 38:49Like what happens then? And and Pekko has the experience
- 38:55and Martine has to. That's the thing he's going to
- 38:57have to swallow because if this weekend, if they're one and two,
- 39:00the pressure is more on Martine than it is for Pekko.
- 39:04I think the pressure is still on Martine anyway.
- 39:07He's he's he's up and down trying to chase.
- 39:10Yeah yeah you know he was what even he was like plus couple
- 39:14points and they went down And then with that with the Sprint
- 39:18and then now with the the Grand Prix or Bender, he would have
- 39:22been what, nine points, something like that or eight
- 39:26points. Now it's like 13 or 14.
- 39:28I'm. Sure.
- 39:29Eighteen. I think it was 1818 something.
- 39:31Like that, yeah, but that. I'm keeping track.
- 39:36I'm keeping track but I lost track with with.
- 39:39I just love it Now we got the Sprint in the Grand Prix, so
- 39:43it's and. It's also not having that Sprint
- 39:45as well, right? Because if they don't make that
- 39:46other Sprint race up, that's that's awesome, you know and and
- 39:49you know look. I I I I have.
- 39:56I've had many Ducatis in my life and I hope to have more.
- 39:59I'm a fan of Ducati, but you know, I I it's suspect that
- 40:03they're not making that race up. I can see if it was the Grand
- 40:09Prix which had more points. Dude, it's still 12.
- 40:12Listen, when it's that close 12 points matter.
- 40:15Oh, I know you. See what I'm saying?
- 40:16That's what That's what I'm like.
- 40:18It's coming down to that. Yeah, it's like, it's not, it's
- 40:20not something to like sneeze like, OK, it doesn't matter
- 40:23because. Yo, that's twelve points.
- 40:26Because if that race, if that race did happen, the race could
- 40:31be closer. And yeah, and it could be
- 40:32further too. But it did still matters, you
- 40:37know. Oh, it does.
- 40:39We're talking Paco has 389 and Martine has 376.
- 40:44Yeah. So I think Zarco won that right
- 40:53cycle. One and Phillips Island, I
- 40:55believe. Yeah, yeah, that's the one that
- 40:57didn't do the Sprint, so I forgot where Jorge Martin
- 41:02finished that race. But 5th.
- 41:03Not that I'm keeping. Strange.
- 41:08Here we go. Well, I mean, like, yeah, like
- 41:13that. That's the one.
- 41:14That he was leading in attire, right?
- 41:16Yeah, so. Oh, right.
- 41:17Yep. Yep.
- 41:18So, so, so yeah, I felt like he would have figured it out and
- 41:24probably you would have won the Sprint at least because in that
- 41:27full distance race, that last lap screwed up.
- 41:29Yeah, I mean, weather matters, but yeah, no doubt, sorry,
- 41:33that's actually nine points you could possibly have.
- 41:35Yeah. As I'm saying you just don't
- 41:37know. So it is.
- 41:38I mean I will say so far I I do appreciate the Sprint race and I
- 41:42do appreciate the excitement. I do appreciate the.
- 41:45Competitiveness of Moto GP because you know when Mark
- 41:50Marquez was winning 123 in a row or I think he skipped one it it
- 41:54it was just kind of oh, Mark Marquez is going to win again
- 41:57And then you know you had the pandemic happen and then you had
- 42:02Mears coming win one and then you had Fabio coming win one and
- 42:06then you know pecker coming win one.
- 42:08So you know and and it's been and it's been getting exciting
- 42:11and this one and and even the amount of races to like you know
- 42:14I know as a as. The rider they're complaining
- 42:16about not, not I wouldn't say complaining but they're doing
- 42:20more races than they've done before and and it's a lot more
- 42:23told obviously because of that but you know watching more races
- 42:29I I love it from a fan perspective it's just like you
- 42:33know we we literally get like maybe a month and a half two
- 42:36months off before racing starts again and and and and if you're
- 42:40if you're if you're if you're a fan that's that's that's
- 42:43awesome. You know what I'm saying?
- 42:45So we're we're loving it. Yeah.
- 42:48I'm, I'm, I'm excited that this goes to like end of November,
- 42:52you know, where like you said we got December, January, February.
- 42:56But along those times there'll be testing and then March is
- 42:59World Super Bike. And and March is also, yeah,
- 43:04Moto GP does start in March and also as if we want to bring it
- 43:07on our side, it's the Daytona. Yeah, Daytona 200, baby.
- 43:11Yeah, yeah, that starts in March too.
- 43:13So when that comes back or I'll be so excited, like yeah, I just
- 43:17love bikes. No doubt.
- 43:19So we're going to wrap this thing up, man, because I know we
- 43:21can go on and on and top motorcycles all day long.
- 43:24Do you have any prediction in Malaysia?
- 43:31I don't have a prediction of who, but I say Ducati I I must
- 43:36say probably I want to see Bazecki up there or.
- 43:40I feel bad coming because. You know, go ahead and if you
- 43:46want to switch up Ducati, I want to see Brad been the pull one
- 43:49out. I mean he's been trying so hard.
- 43:51I think he still has the momentum, but this is a fast
- 43:55track. I mean the the KTMS are up there
- 43:59with speed now with Ducati, so we don't have Suzuki out there
- 44:03anymore to get blown down the straightaway.
- 44:06Yeah, I'd say Bezaki or Brad Bender.
- 44:08Yeah. You know, I I will say before I,
- 44:11I, I, I'm, I'm leading the same way you know, I, I, I I think
- 44:15Ducati and and KTM but I do want to you know Aprilia, the up and
- 44:22down is is it's strange it's strange The up and down of
- 44:27Aprilia is very strange I mean you know it it it's they they
- 44:33they. They lack consistency.
- 44:37You know, the chemical train breaking.
- 44:39Yeah, it's it's it's just a it's just a lot.
- 44:42And, you know, I mean, the the only person you can't really
- 44:46pick at is Raul Fernandez, right?
- 44:50That's the only person. But you look at Oliveira, who's
- 44:53won races. Vinyala is who's won races not
- 44:58it not on the Pearl year but one races and Alice who's won races.
- 45:02It's it's it's so weird that they just, you know they're just
- 45:07the the the inconsistency is is I don't understand it.
- 45:12You know what I'm saying? Like, 'cause this is kind of
- 45:13like yo man, y'all yo-yo y'all should be in the top 8
- 45:19consistently. What about KTM?
- 45:22I mean, Brad Bendis is consistent, yeah.
- 45:24Yeah, they're more consistent. They're, they're they're they're
- 45:26literally, they're not as consistent as Ducati because
- 45:29they don't have enough KTMS on, on, on, on the grid, but they're
- 45:32more consistent. They're like, so it's really
- 45:34like Ducati, KTM, Aprilia, Yamaha, Honda.
- 45:43They might be, they might even be hyphenated because, you know,
- 45:47if you look at the podium between Fabio and and and Mark
- 45:50Marquez, right, because they're only two that have podium, you
- 45:53know what I'm saying? They might cancel each other out
- 45:56as well. You don't say they're kind of
- 45:57like at the same place. I think Honda's having the worst
- 46:01year of all. No, no, no no Yamaha, Yamahas,
- 46:05Yamahas, Yamahas, Yamahas have no worse worse year than than
- 46:08Honda. They only got 2 bikes.
- 46:10And yeah, they can't, they can't, they can't produce really
- 46:16anything. Because Mark Marquez, Mark
- 46:18Marquez is actually, I don't even know what the standing is,
- 46:21but I think I I I got to assume Mark Marquez is higher in the
- 46:24standings than than Fabio is right now.
- 46:26And if he is, then then Yamaha is then then Honda is the better
- 46:30bike. No, I'm the standings.
- 46:32We got Fabio with 145 points. Mark Marquez has 81.
- 46:37OK, so I all right. Yamaha in Yamaha in I I mean the
- 46:40points disappointed. He has most falls this year.
- 46:44Oh yeah and listen and I think every Honda rider fell a lot.
- 46:50You know, Taka Mir Mir barely finished this whole season.
- 46:53Mark Marquez is slide slide into Rossi's DM like bro.
- 47:00Yeah, Ducati. You know what I'm saying?
- 47:02How, how can I get, you know, like like, you know, can I get
- 47:05to the Academy and ride with you guys?
- 47:07Because all the all the, all, pretty much all the except for
- 47:10Celestine. I know Celestine can probably be
- 47:12on a Ducati too, because, but he's probably going to be on a
- 47:15triumph or something, right Outside of Celestine and Minos,
- 47:20everybody else is going to be on Ducati.
- 47:23So my Marquez is going to be like, yo, can me and my brother
- 47:25come over and hang out with you guys?
- 47:27Amazano, You know, he's still going to feel like an outsider.
- 47:32No I look you know, I I I don't think so right.
- 47:36Because I think like Lorenzo he got humbled when he went to
- 47:40Ducati and and I think after Marquez got hurt this last time
- 47:46and was sidelined for so long, I think he he he he he's evolved
- 47:53from the Mark Marquez he was. Who was never hurt is, is
- 47:56essentially young and cocky right.
- 47:57I mean that's what it is, right? Yeah.
- 47:58I'm you know that's what it is right.
- 48:00But you know when you when you have adversity like that it it
- 48:04it makes you human again. You know, you know John
- 48:07McGuinness you know you know all these all these top players when
- 48:11when when they have when they have to do with adversity any
- 48:14person really, right. We have to do with adversity.
- 48:17You know it. It it makes if if you were an
- 48:21asshole before you become a human being, and if you
- 48:24overhuman. Before you become even more
- 48:26empathetic. Right.
- 48:27So you know, I so I like and I and I've seen that So like I
- 48:32look at them now and and it's just like yeah, I know what you
- 48:35did, but I you're learning. So I it is we as human beings we
- 48:39all learn and evolve. So you can't hold, you know you
- 48:42can't be mad at the younger version of people after they've
- 48:45evolved. You know what I'm saying as a
- 48:48fact. I know one thing before we go,
- 48:53just looking at the standard since we brought it up, Since we
- 48:55have a few races left, I love to see everyone at least score a
- 48:59point. So right now equal lack of owner
- 49:02has zero. Well, he he's in World Super
- 49:04Bike, so unless somebody gets hit in Honda, he's done.
- 49:07Yeah, and then we'll see. You never know.
- 49:10And then Cal Crushaw, he has three.
- 49:14These guys are still not really. Riding.
- 49:16He only did one race, so there you go.
- 49:18Yeah, that's that's good. Let's see who's still in it that
- 49:23needs points like PO has 12, Mirror has 24 there.
- 49:27You go. I was on mosquito screw, man.
- 49:29He broke his jaw and Oh yeah, and.
- 49:33Other things not Do you know what I'm saying?
- 49:36So you know, I just said I'm getting like one point here and
- 49:39there. I just like to see it mix up.
- 49:41But look, man, it it's it's tough out there.
- 49:44It it's exactly, you know, it could only be one number, one.
- 49:49You know what I'm saying? If you want #2 and so forth,
- 49:53it's it's it's when you're a second and and it's not like
- 49:55it's crazy because you know, you think it's like, I don't know
- 49:58how many riders are in there now.
- 49:59But when you look at the qualifying times and these guys
- 50:02are like, you know, 1 to 1 1/2 second apart and you're like the
- 50:0625th guy or the 22nd guy and it's like you still got to hold
- 50:09your head up, you know what I'm saying?
- 50:10Because like, yo, you're not that bad.
- 50:14Yeah, to to to your riding crew. But to your spectators, they're
- 50:19like, he sucks. No, but you.
- 50:21You you know not. He sucks.
- 50:24But they are, they probably are doing that and which is the
- 50:26downside because you know, the competition is so elite right
- 50:30now. It's it's you know, you you you
- 50:34you again. You know when I say Mark
- 50:36Marquez. You know, being humble now and
- 50:39stuff like that. We all human beings.
- 50:41We all human beings. You got to look like, well, you
- 50:42ever realize, like, yo, it's only a second, a second and a
- 50:45half here We talking about here Like, I mean, that's a blanket
- 50:49of an eye. You you, you got to, you know,
- 50:51tone it down if you're a fan and you're mad at at the Fabio or
- 50:56Frankie or one of these guys because yo, you're talking about
- 51:002425 guys in this case and and they're all fast.
- 51:06And and and I think at this point it's really probably
- 51:09machinery and and and and and your and your organization.
- 51:14You know what I'm saying? Because I think all the riders,
- 51:16all these riders are top riders. I mean, I think if you put all
- 51:19these riders, you look at Moto 2 and we said this before, but
- 51:22outside of the, you know, the frame situation with them, those
- 51:26guys are the same way and and and so you know.
- 51:29It really like these riders are all very talented and and the
- 51:34difference is is really the the the how they interact with their
- 51:39crew and what their crew do at the end of the day.
- 51:42Because all these riders feel they can break lap records.
- 51:45I I I think you really ask every rider.
- 51:47They'll all believe they can break the lap record if they had
- 51:49the right bike, that's for sure. It's all about their strategy
- 51:53coming into a race weekend and just feeling good about
- 51:57themselves. Yeah.
- 51:58No doubt. So I'm I'm hoping Bazecki win
- 52:01Malaysia that'll be good like I'm I'm I'm hoping that I'm
- 52:05hoping Vanyalez is up there. I'm, you know, I'm rooting for,
- 52:11obviously. Yes, I want Peco to win it all.
- 52:15But you know these other riders like, you know, like we want,
- 52:20like we're rooting for y'all. So you know, and then obviously
- 52:22they're rooting for themselves, but you know it, it it like you
- 52:27know, that's that. That's what I like to say.
- 52:29I like to see if you always get one you know before the season
- 52:31is up, you know time's running out.
- 52:34So, you know, I like to see Alex Raines also win another or get
- 52:37on the podium again. Oh, didn't he just win Austin
- 52:40this year on a Honda? Well, yeah, we we just, you
- 52:43know, haven't, you know, you haven't seen him that often, you
- 52:46know, like you. Break your leg in two places.
- 52:48You might not see me for like 5 years.
- 52:53All right, I'm picking all the wrong names.
- 52:55That's why I understand. But like like look to I don't
- 52:59know if Mark Marquez has won this year.
- 53:01Alice Rings Rings has won this year on a Honda.
- 53:06And you know, granted, he was on the podium, but I don't think he
- 53:09won. No.
- 53:11Yeah. So you know what I'm saying?
- 53:13And I'm a fan of Alex Wrens. And I think he's going to do, I
- 53:19mean, he's out there. He broke his leg in two places.
- 53:22They put him back out. There, if, if, if, in, in, in,
- 53:26in, if we were to look at Moto 2, right, And you would just sit
- 53:30here and go. Frankie Morbidelli, Fabio
- 53:34Cuatorara. Alex Rennes, Bastianini, Jorge
- 53:39Martin. Don't want to pick one more in
- 53:42the Bazzacki. Like who's the better rider in
- 53:46Moto 2. Like rinse it like rinse's like
- 53:49what? Probably rinse it look like join
- 53:51me like who was it like Frankie Moba Deli and Alex Rennes right.
- 53:55Like Emoto 2. Like, you know what I'm saying?
- 53:59But Moto GP is a different animal, and on a whole bunch of
- 54:01different things. So does the Do I think that Alex
- 54:05Renz has a talent? Yes I do because he he's been
- 54:08fast from Moto 3, Moto 2 and Moto GP.
- 54:14Yeah, it's unfortunate, just the injuries and like I said, I knew
- 54:17it coming in with how many races they had to put up, is want to
- 54:23see how how many races can withstand the full length of the
- 54:28season. Yeah, yeah, no, that, that
- 54:30that's that's the thing, man. It's it's adversity.
- 54:33You know what I'm saying it it's it's like you're not going to
- 54:36win a title in in in a in a weekend and it and it's how you
- 54:41adjust, adapt evolve and grow and it's crazy and and you know
- 54:47usually the factory people are the ones that have it under
- 54:50control in a situation like this this.
- 54:53If, oh hey, Martine wins the title, this might be the first
- 54:55satellite team that's won a title, the Moto GP.
- 54:59That'd be dope. You know what I'm saying?
- 55:01And and so you know that's that's huge, very close.
- 55:05I mean, granted he's on factory back, factory bike, factory
- 55:08contract, but still satellite team.
- 55:12Yeah, that is his 2nd place. So let me say the I wrote for
- 55:17Bezaki as well and Bender, but I'm sure Martine and Pekko will
- 55:21be up there too, so. The show must go on.
- 55:26My name is Let's shout out all the sponsors before we get out
