- 1:37we call this the Concrete Jungle Carousel.
- 1:41We have the concrete jungle and we're going to start off with
- 1:43some basketball news because it's the only sport that's
- 1:46really in season currently. So starting off, Jalen Brunson
- 1:51talked to Vanity Fair, Errol, he wants to be paid a massive
- 1:55contract in 2028 and said that he made sacrifices for the
- 2:00Knicks to build a championship contender beginning with his
- 2:04four year $156,000,000 contract when he could have waited and
- 2:08got in a five year, $269 million Max contract.
- 2:13Obviously he'll be eligible for a bigger contract than that with
- 2:16the inflation. 2028 four year 323, supermax deal.
- 2:21He waits an extra year, five years 418.
- 2:25It looks like the Knicks are going to try to do well by him
- 2:29because let's face it, they did build a contender.
- 2:33There's no question and I do believe Jalen Brunson has taken
- 2:37less over the last two contracts.
- 2:39Remember when he he signed with the Knicks?
- 2:40He signed, I think it was a two or three-year deal worth about
- 2:4360 something million. What a steal because Jalen
- 2:45Brunson became a superstar here in New York, became the face the
- 2:49captain El Capitan, as Hart says on his on their podcast.
- 2:54So we we understand what type of player he is.
- 2:56He could go down as the greatest nick of all time.
- 2:59But here's the thing. Does it benefit the Knicks to
- 3:02give him a $450 million deal for five, five years if he wants to
- 3:07win multiple championships? He has a chance now if the
- 3:11Knicks bring it together and continue to build this with Leon
- 3:15Rose and Worldwide W to win multiple championships, not one,
- 3:19and become, I wouldn't say a dynasty, but one of the elite
- 3:22teams that they have not been in over the last 50 years.
- 3:25So if I was Jalen Brunson, I understand he's in New York.
- 3:29Taxes are high, but you have an opportunity to make money in
- 3:33many different ways with some of the sponsors.
- 3:35You you're going to get more being here than anywhere else.
- 3:39Why would you take a 5, a 500 million or 400, $50 million Max
- 3:43contract if you know it's going to hurt the team?
- 3:45That's the only thing I'm going to argue.
- 3:46I'm not taking shots at Jalen Brunson.
- 3:48I love Jalen Brunson. He deserves a big contract.
- 3:51I just, it doesn't hold well for the Knicks.
- 3:54Doesn't help the Knicks if he takes that kind of contract.
- 3:56Yeah, I worry about it with the injury history be too because
- 3:58he's always had one injury or maybe even 2 in some seasons per
- 4:02year too. Now you're going into at the
- 4:042028, you're approaching 30 years old at that point.
- 4:07Is it going to be worth it for even giving the four year 323?
- 4:10I think if they can make it work, if he stays healthy the
- 4:12four years 323 might be good. I wouldn't do the five years,
- 4:16423 or whatever it is after that.
- 4:19I do worry about the injury history.
- 4:21Fish, I was telling you in the read off, they're like smaller
- 4:23guards. Look at somebody like Damian
- 4:24Lillard, who barely has played a lot with Portland.
- 4:26Now even this year with Milwaukee, I worry about that
- 4:28kind of thing. I don't worry about the
- 4:30injuries. I'm worried about how it
- 4:31benefits them to give them that contract to bring in free agents
- 4:35and be in a championship contending team.
- 4:37And by the way, they just gave up five first round draft picks
- 4:40for Mikkel Bridges. And every other year they're
- 4:43going to be getting those contracts, getting those picks
- 4:45and, and, and be being that the Knicks are so good, those picks
- 4:49are going to be bad. But as these guys get older,
- 4:52they're only going to get worse and eventually they're going to
- 4:56fall flat on their face. And those picks could be lottery
- 4:58picks. Yeah, we've talked about it too,
- 4:59like the the Knicks are kind of in that three-year core for a
- 5:02championship as it is. And that's where a lot of those
- 5:03picks, I think outside of the last one are going to be in.
- 5:06So if the if the Knicks don't win a championship in that span,
- 5:09yeah, then maybe you're starting to question it with the core.
- 5:11But if they do and yeah, maybe there's a little more leeway to
- 5:13get Brunson the deal. But if they don't, yeah, there's
- 5:15some questions. Yeah, you know, the other team
- 5:19in New York should be mentioned. Brooklyn Nets are in full on
- 5:23tank mode right now. Porter junior is playing
- 5:26tonight, but the it's not close. We mentioned Cleveland earlier.
- 5:31Cleveland is whooping up on the Nets as we speak in the first
- 5:34half. It's not they're already up by
- 5:35like 20 something. They're 15 and 38 right now.
- 5:39They're being they're talking about being drafting unless they
- 5:42hit big on the lottery somewhere between 4:00 and 7:00 in this
- 5:46year's draft. So I wanted to pull up ESPN's
- 5:48big board of draft prospects that are in the four to seven
- 5:52range right now. The top three are Peterson,
- 5:54Debansa and then Boozer at 3, according to ESPN.
- 5:59This is from a week ago, Boozer. Sitting there for I'm jumping on
- 6:02him and I'm opening with, I'm opening my doors with wide hugs
- 6:08and kisses because I think he's the best player in this draft
- 6:11camp. Boozer, I'm hearing that like
- 6:12the top three, it's like a top three and then everybody else
- 6:15type of a draft. So I'd be shocked if he gets out
- 6:18of the three. But 4 is sitting there is Caleb
- 6:20Wilson from North Carolina. He's 610 and 19 years old.
- 6:24He's. A pretty darn good ball handler
- 6:28and shoot shooter for a guy who's 610 and still growing into
- 6:31his frame. People are very excited about
- 6:34him. Obviously he's got the hand
- 6:35injury, but he's someone to watch.
- 6:38The Houston kid. Flemings is 5.
- 6:41Kingston Flemings another 19 year old freshman.
- 6:44People are talking about him. He had a 42 point game against
- 6:47Texas Tech last month. Big time player for a team
- 6:52that's a top five team. Then you have Waggler from
- 6:55Illinois who's got big numbers and a Mint who we've heard a lot
- 6:59about as well from Tennessee, another 610 wing type.
- 7:04You know one of these you kind of freak athlete types sit in
- 7:08there. After that you have a couple of
- 7:10names from Arkansas. Cuff junior Mikhail Brown from
- 7:14Louisville puts up points in a hurry at 45 points against the
- 7:17NC State. And rounding out the top ten,
- 7:20they have some guy from New Zealand.
- 7:23I think that no matter where the Nets are sitting and and the
- 7:26Nets could actually jump from 4 or 5 or even 7 to 1 and they'll
- 7:30get a top three player, the Nets are going to do whatever it
- 7:33takes to try to get one of those top three players.
- 7:35But this is a good draft. We've heard this many, many
- 7:38times by many different guests that we've had on the show in
- 7:41the past said that 2027 is the year to make sure you you
- 7:46scavenge up as many draft picks you possibly can.
- 7:49And the Nets have done it. I think the Nets could really
- 7:52rebuild their team if they they could get a Cam Boozer there or,
- 7:55or, or one of these young studs, maybe a Wilson.
- 7:58They get one of these guys and then build around the other two
- 8:01picks that they have later in the in the first round and the
- 8:05the amount of money that they have in free agency.
- 8:07And honestly, Porter junior could be traded in the offseason
- 8:10to get themselves another first round talent.
- 8:13So I I think they're in the driver's seat.
- 8:15The Nets are not going to be good for another, I would say
- 8:19probably 5 years. They have Sean Marks at least
- 8:22they have stability over there in, you know, as an executive,
- 8:26he's been there a long, long time.
- 8:27I remember when he was brought in taking over from the Spurs
- 8:31and he's still in the driver's seat.
- 8:32So maybe if they can get the right guy in there and the and
- 8:35they put the right players in position, they can draw a free
- 8:39agents like free agent like Giannis of that magnitude to
- 8:42come and play over there. So it's a possibility.
- 8:44Yeah, it's interesting because Sean Marks, I think when he,
- 8:47when they brought him over there, they brought him there to
- 8:49do the rebuild. And obviously Billy King was the
- 8:52best that he had inherited. And Kenny?
- 8:54He created the mess. But yeah, Billy King, Billy
- 8:57King. And Sean Marks created a mess
- 8:59over there too. I was going to say if he learns
- 9:01from his mistake and not do that kind of thing again, when you're
- 9:04trading all these good young players for Kyrie Irving and
- 9:07Kevin Durant and James Harden, who they won two playoff series,
- 9:10congratulations with that amazing big three, and they
- 9:13couldn't even sell playoff tickets there.
- 9:15Yeah, if he doesn't do that again, then you actually let it
- 9:17build organically like you've seen the Rockets do now, like
- 9:19you said, obviously. OK, see, that's the model you
- 9:21really want to get on before that big trade with Shake of
- 9:23yourselves and Jalen Williams. If they do that, yeah, they'll
- 9:26be in good shape. Otherwise, yeah, they'll still
- 9:28going to be same old Nets. Well, they got a lot of young
- 9:31guys. You would assume that they're
- 9:33gathering them to trade for somebody big to pair with
- 9:36hopefully a top three guy into this year's draft.
- 9:39It would make sense on a lot of levels.
- 9:40But again, this is a Nets franchise that seems to get it
- 9:43wrong a lot. Let's go to baseball.
- 9:45I think it's it's time we talk about some offseason baseball.
- 9:49Let's start in the Bronx with the Yanks, friend of the show
- 9:52Brian Hoke reports. Aaron Judge called the Yankees
- 9:55offseason tough to watch, especially when they were very
- 9:59passive early on with the winter meetings.
- 10:02Watching the Mets sign guys away from the Yankees, watching the
- 10:06Red Sox make trade after trade. The Orioles sign guys.
- 10:10Pete Alonzo adding pitching. He the ads, Judge ad man.
- 10:15We're the New York Yankees. Let's go out there and get the
- 10:18right people, the right pieces and to go out there and finish
- 10:20this thing off. He wanted the guys back, Trent
- 10:23Grisham, Schmidt, Goldschmidt and Bellinger, but wishes they
- 10:26could have done more. I heard this story and, and I
- 10:30he's the captain and he's really speaking for the fans and he's a
- 10:35he's a fan of the New York Yankees.
- 10:37He wants the Yankees to pull the trigger and land some
- 10:40superstars. This wasn't the offseason to
- 10:42really bring those superstars in the air.
- 10:45They really wasn't. If you look at the free agency
- 10:47market, they got Bellinger, who was one of the best free agents
- 10:50out there. They signed him, they gave him
- 10:52an extension. It's not like they struck out on
- 10:54him and lost him. They if they added Kyle Tucker,
- 10:58was that enough for him to be happy about?
- 11:00No, I I think the fact here is, is there wasn't enough out there
- 11:04where the Yankees could have pulled the trigger, where it
- 11:06would have made Yankee fans happy or even some of the
- 11:08players there. I think next offseason if the
- 11:11Yankees strike out on bringing another superstar in after the
- 11:15strike here, if there is a season, well then I think that
- 11:19Aaron Judge won't be happy with the organization.
- 11:21He's not going to ask for himself to be traded or
- 11:24anything. I don't I've never heard, I
- 11:26never heard or seen a captain ever do that.
- 11:28But I'm sure he will air out his opinions to it.
- 11:32I don't honestly, what he said to Brian Hope isn't surprising.
- 11:36It wasn't like he was out there and saying, oh, we're we're not
- 11:39a championship team. We're not even making the
- 11:40playoffs with this roster. No, he didn't say that.
- 11:43All he said is he he didn't understand that why the Yankees
- 11:47didn't go out there and open up their their pockets, even though
- 11:50if you really look at it, they really did.
- 11:52It's not like they struck out and didn't add a superstar
- 11:56player or not a superstar, a star player to a roster that a
- 11:59lot of teams were after. Seven teams were after Bellinger
- 12:02and the Yankees got them on a good contract.
- 12:05So I don't know where the complaining should be.
- 12:07Not from El Capitan or anybody else on this Yankee roster.
- 12:12They're still a contender. They're probably the best team
- 12:15in the American League, even with some of the acquisitions
- 12:18some of those other teams made. It's interesting because I think
- 12:20the trends of the Yankees of what was available realistically
- 12:23for them this offseason have gone against what they've tried
- 12:26in the past and hasn't worked. Like, yeah, OK, a lot of people
- 12:29are thinking the Yankees need to go improve their bullpen, too.
- 12:31But we've also seen offseasons with the Yankees getting these
- 12:34flashy relievers and then flaming out or getting hurt,
- 12:37stuff like that. Same kind of thing with the
- 12:40catching position, anything like that.
- 12:42They weren't never really in on Tucker.
- 12:44They were never really in on Bragman, I don't think as much
- 12:46as people think. And those were the probably the
- 12:47two biggest names beside Bellinger's bringing it back to
- 12:50to get. So if they got more in quantity,
- 12:53fine. But maybe it's more of a shot at
- 12:54Brian Cashman with all the comments he was making at the
- 12:56beginning. Smartest The smartest thing to
- 12:58do is bring up Spencer Jones. I don't want to hear about.
- 13:02Oh, we're going to trade. Him, he's he's not a piece.
- 13:05So we're going to block him. We're going to block him.
- 13:07You have a young stud right now in your farm system.
- 13:10See what you got from him. See what you what he's made of
- 13:13coming up and being called up in the major leagues.
- 13:16What is he going to do? Hit three home runs in spring
- 13:18training and you're going to walk out on him and say, well,
- 13:21we're going to move him. We don't think he's any good.
- 13:24I last year he was the best player in spring training and
- 13:26they sent him down to AAA. It doesn't make any sense.
- 13:29If you want to surprise, you want to make the Yankee fans
- 13:31happy, don't go out and say pretty much tell, tell all the
- 13:35Yankee fans your best left-handed prospect, your young
- 13:38stud power hitter who has almost identical numbers like Aaron as
- 13:42me and Fish were pointing out during during offset of the show
- 13:47and trying to compare his numbers to Aaron Judge.
- 13:49You're going to you're going to just move them because he
- 13:51doesn't fit the culture. He doesn't fit the roster that's
- 13:54built right now with the New York.
- 13:56Inc. And that's why I think these
- 13:57jabs are not necessarily at the free agent moves themselves.
- 13:59It's the way I think Cashman's operated and maybe it's deterred
- 14:02players away. Obviously, we've heard Java say
- 14:04that with certain free agents when he was there that maybe
- 14:07Cashman just negotiated him wrong too.
- 14:08And maybe that's why Jones and Dominguez that recent story too,
- 14:12maybe having judged the wrong way.
- 14:14Well, let's go across town and talk about the Mets.
- 14:18There was a very weird story. If you think this the Yankee
- 14:21story was weird, the Mets story is even stranger.
- 14:24Uncle Stevie, Stevie Money Bucks over there says that the as long
- 14:30as he's owner of the New York Mets, they will never, ever have
- 14:35a captain, despite speculation last year Francisco Lindor was
- 14:39going to be named captain of the team.
- 14:43You know, there was a lot of talk about it.
- 14:46And that frustrated Brandon Nimmo, who is now no longer part
- 14:50of the team. We've heard some weird, you
- 14:53know, stuff ranging from they just didn't get along to they
- 14:57had political arguments that made the clubhouse awkward.
- 15:02Regardless, he's gone now. Lindor, who's the longest
- 15:05tenured player on the team after Pete Alonso, Jeff McNeil and
- 15:09Nimmo were gone this offseason, says he respects Cohen's
- 15:12decision and says the label wouldn't change.
- 15:15The type of leader and personality is in the locker
- 15:17room. But Errol, it feels like a
- 15:19pretty like direct shot at the leadership going on with this
- 15:24team. Absolutely does.
- 15:26And and Pete Alonso I thought was the face of the
- 15:28organization, the polar bear. They winded up not even offer
- 15:31him a contract. He goes to free agency and goes
- 15:34to the Baltimore Orioles. And I I wouldn't be surprised if
- 15:37he hits 4550 home runs. And when he plays the Mets and
- 15:40he meets the Mets this year, he drives the ball down their
- 15:43throats. But here's the facts.
- 15:45None of those guys that are on that roster right now are
- 15:47homegrown players. None of them as, as, as far as
- 15:51I'm concerned, star players that are on that roster, Lindor Soto,
- 15:54they're not from the organization.
- 15:56So I can understand Steve Cohen coming out and saying, hey, you
- 15:59know what? None of those guys are going to
- 16:01be captains. We're not going to have
- 16:02captains. Because I I think that obviously
- 16:06as far as the organization is concerned, they're more worried
- 16:08about a casino being built over there and making sure that
- 16:11there's money being printed over there and him paying players or
- 16:15drawing players to come and play over here.
- 16:18So don't try to win championships for the fans.
- 16:20To me, it's all about winning championships.
- 16:22Why does anybody give a crap about who the captain is?
- 16:26They haven't won a championship since 1986.
- 16:29It's how many years? 30 years ago?
- 16:3240 years ago? To me, it's all about winning
- 16:35championships. So why does anybody care who the
- 16:37captain of the New York Mets is? Is it Captain America or is it
- 16:41some ass sitting out there paying tickets, $500 tickets to
- 16:46go and watch this disgraceful team choke at the end of the
- 16:49season? Yeah, it's a problem when you're
- 16:51announcing this kind of thing. I'm not really advocating for
- 16:54the match of one captain anyway. I've always argue with that with
- 16:57the Rangers too, like the Rangers switching their captains
- 16:59every year because they keep trading all the other ones.
- 17:01But the overall leadership dynamic has to be there if you
- 17:04want this team to go anywhere. And outside of maybe Lindor and
- 17:08Simeon, I don't really see any guys that are definitively good
- 17:11leader. I think Soto was just a flashy
- 17:13name, great player, but I I never really was amazed by any
- 17:16leadership quality with him. The shed's the same kind of way.
- 17:18I don't think he really is has that kind of thing and you need
- 17:21that kind of thing with more of your starting lineup guys, but
- 17:23even your pitchers too, like they're like young guys all at
- 17:25once. Like who are you going to be
- 17:27able to trust? I just think they have a problem
- 17:29that they're not a well operated team.
- 17:31They're just a bunch of money, money hungry guys right now that
- 17:34are hoping to win and hoping a mixed bag of all this can win a
- 17:37championship. You can't trust it and these
- 17:38comments really don't help. It just feels like a guy who
- 17:41tried to make a team on a video game and didn't worry about like
- 17:44the chemistry aspect of everything that's going to
- 17:47happen in the people's lives and the relationships.
- 17:50It might get ugly, but, you know, let's let's leave out some
- 17:52hope for the Mets fans. See, I'm not just such a hater,
- 17:55Errol. It's not.
- 17:56It's not everything. Give me a break.
- 17:58You're trying to be nice. I was nice, I was being nice.
- 18:02Don't you think? I don't think you're being nice.
- 18:04This will be the ultimate test. It's.
- 18:06Typical Aaron Fishman, you know, low locating, what nice is and
- 18:11what bad is. And I mean locating because he's
- 18:13probably in Washington, DC right now and trying to figure out,
- 18:17hey, you know what, let's talk about New York fans here in New
- 18:19York. So it's like all over an Almanac
- 18:22of craziness. Another tow job.
- 18:24As we all as job, we miss your job.
- 18:27We miss you Don't tell your don't tell your friend Danny
- 18:30about toes, though. As we all know.
- 18:33Or we can use the old myth. Breaking news, I'm putting you
- 18:36on a leash now. We could do it that way or we
- 18:38could do it this. Way breaking news They call me
- 18:40the Ladies Man and Mr. Steal Your Girl.
- 18:42Well, hopefully he's not stealing anybody's girl or.
- 18:45I feel like Nathan needs to start, like he needs to meet and
- 18:49start representing Rex Ryan. I feel like Nathan and Rex would
- 18:52have plenty of interesting conversations that nobody should
- 18:55hear that they would enjoy with each other.
- 18:57But that's a whole other story. Let's talk about those Jets,
- 19:00Errol. You want to.
- 19:01Jets, Jets, Jets Jets Fox Sports reports The Jets are very
- 19:07interested in Bears D back Nashon Wright favourites to sign
- 19:12him with the huge amount of cap space they have.
- 19:14He was for the Bears. If you remember last year, he's
- 19:16the guy who's coach in college was murdered during the season.
- 19:20It was in Oakland. We talked about that story.
- 19:23He was very emotional the game after.
- 19:25I think he had an interception that game.
- 19:26He had a very good, good player for the Bears.
- 19:29Good player. He's one of the top corners on
- 19:31the market. Another corner on the market
- 19:33expected to hit free agencies. Tyreke Woolen with Super Bowl
- 19:36Championship Seahawks. He was the guy.
- 19:39If they were going to pick on someone, he was the guy they
- 19:41picked on. He made a couple of blunders,
- 19:43famously. Didn't cost them against the
- 19:45Rams ultimately, but it could have.
- 19:47He's the next guy that people would take at corner.
- 19:49But obviously The Jets and the Giants we'll talk about too.
- 19:52Also very interested in corner. And then Speaking of those
- 19:55Giants, there's a guy on the Giants The Jets are apparently
- 19:59homing in on and it's our 5 foot one slot receiver.
- 20:03I'm sorry, 5 foot eight slot receiver Wandale Robinson, who
- 20:08in the, I think in the combine had the shortest arms ever
- 20:11recorded for a receiver at the combine.
- 20:14He had a lot of drops but this year he was 1000 yard receiver.
- 20:17Had better fantasy stats than Justin Jefferson after neighbors
- 20:21went down. He was the only guy that looked
- 20:24like an NFL receiver on that team.
- 20:26As far as The Jets are concerned, any corner right now
- 20:29would be an absolute home run for them.
- 20:31So I they're going to look at woolen.
- 20:34I'd stay away from woolen because I don't know if you want
- 20:36to bring somebody like that in your locker room unless you can
- 20:38control them. So that's, I wouldn't go, I like
- 20:42the kid from the Bears. I, I think that's something that
- 20:45The Jets are going to look at and The Jets have a lot of
- 20:46money. The Giants don't.
- 20:47They're going to be looking at corners, but they can't even
- 20:50afford their own players as Robinson is going to be
- 20:52available. That that's the number one guy
- 20:55I'd be targeting if I was the New York Giants are bringing him
- 20:57back because you don't even know if your neighbors is going to be
- 21:00back and he's going to be 100% this guy.
- 21:02Robinson this year was a phenomenal player.
- 21:05You can put him in the slot, you can put him on the outside.
- 21:07He was really Jackson darts #1 target all season and long, and
- 21:12to lose him in free agency is a catastrophe.
- 21:15I don't care what any Giant fan says, you could go after a wide
- 21:18receiver at #5 but are they better than Robertson?
- 21:21I I was very impressed with Robertson all season long.
- 21:24I did not think he was this good because over the last three
- 21:27years he couldn't stay healthy. But when he had a chance to
- 21:30spark and be a lightning rod for Gable, and then obviously what
- 21:35they did in the second-half and what kind of numbers he put up,
- 21:38he was a pro ball player. He he to me, he'd be the best
- 21:41slot wide receiver in the league.
- 21:42So my question here is with The Jets is are they going to put
- 21:47themselves in the right position to land these guys and not
- 21:50overpay for them? If they overpay for these guys,
- 21:53they're going to put themselves in salary cap hell for next year
- 21:57if they decide to move on from Aaron Glenn.
- 21:59You do not want to bring a coach in that's going to try to
- 22:02maneuver cap cap space in the next two or three years to get
- 22:06him you know, on point for the players that he wants to run his
- 22:10offense. So if you, I don't think Aaron
- 22:12Glenn's the guy, as we've heard many people say, they don't
- 22:17overpay for players this offseason, Wait until the next
- 22:20season where you're loaded with draft stock and you're loaded
- 22:23with money, where you could put the right guy in position to get
- 22:26the players that he wants. Yes, I was going to mention that
- 22:28One Nation, right, Because I think it is a big disclaimer
- 22:31that both the Giants and The Jets have made this mistake in
- 22:34the last 10 years. The Giants did it with James
- 22:36Bradbury. He had two really good years in
- 22:37a row at the end of his career at Carolina, but those were his
- 22:40only really two good years. The Jets bid on the same thing
- 22:43with Tremaine Johnson and both those contracts really backfired
- 22:46for those teams. Nashon Wright kind of feels like
- 22:48that same kind of thing. He's been a product of a good
- 22:51secondary for a while. He played well when those guys
- 22:53were hurt at the throughout this year.
- 22:55Is it a flash on the pan though, and can you trust that kind of
- 22:57thing for that much money that he's going to demand because he
- 22:59was one of the interception leaders in the league?
- 23:01I don't know. Robinson's another interesting
- 23:031. He improved very, very good as a
- 23:05route runner and a deep threat this past year.
- 23:07Don't pay over 15,000,000 for Robinson and I would land.
- 23:10Him, I was going to say Khalil Shakir was that same kind of
- 23:13thing. Buffalo gave him three-year, $45
- 23:15million contract. I wouldn't exceed that if I were
- 23:18any team going after Robinson cuz Robinson height wise much
- 23:21more deficiencies than Shakir does.
- 23:23Yeah, I personally would rather have Shakir in that deal, but
- 23:28just before we leave The Jets. But Vera Tucker, you know,
- 23:31obviously lots of injury history, he's probably someone
- 23:35that they'll try to bring back on a low, low cost. 9 million a
- 23:38year, I think 9 million. Makes sense.
- 23:40I think it's I think it's going to be less than half of that.
- 23:42It might not be very much just to see if he can still play.
- 23:46It's like that with the injuries with him.
- 23:48Bruce Hall though, looks like him and Kenneth Walker the third
- 23:51who we'll talk about in the Sportsman in a little bit.
- 23:54They're going to be the top 2 running backs on the market.
- 23:57He wants around 13 million plus Breece Hall.
- 24:01If they tagged him it would be around 14 1/2 they're.
- 24:04Going to tag him so. They're 100%.
- 24:06That's what they're looking at right there with Hall.
- 24:08They're going to tag Breece Hall.
- 24:09There's no question they are. The Jets aren't just going to
- 24:12let him go and get nothing for him.
- 24:14They were expecting a third round draft pick for him.
- 24:17They didn't get it from Kansas City.
- 24:18Who knows if Kansas City gets Breece Hall, they make, I
- 24:21believe they make the playoffs and maybe make a run.
- 24:24They fuck out on that because they don't want to give up a
- 24:26third round pick, which is very surprising.
- 24:28I think Breeze Hall is the type of guy that Kansas City's going
- 24:31to go after. I could see that happening.
- 24:33Kansas City will overpay for him because they need that star
- 24:37running back over there with Patrick Mahomes and we'll see.
- 24:40Maybe Tyree Kill will follow after that and they'll be a
- 24:43contender. But Breeze Hall's going to get
- 24:45franchised and The Jets are going to get something back for
- 24:47him. They want a third.
- 24:49They'll probably get 1/3 for him so we'll see.
- 24:51I think that's the approach that The Jets are going to have to
- 24:52take. Like why would they let him go
- 24:54walk for nothing and not trying to accumulate that draft stock
- 24:57too. There's going.
- 24:58To be they don't have any third round picks.
- 24:59This Yeah, right. So giving them even more of an
- 25:02incentive when you look at all the four teams remaining had
- 25:04good running games in the in the playoffs and even even the teams
- 25:07in the divisional round. So it's a different theme this
- 25:10year That's going to be valued from what we talked about on
- 25:11Monday where they're are they devaluing the running back
- 25:13position? I think a team will bite this
- 25:15offseason. Yeah, if they let him go they
- 25:16end up with like a third round comp pick for 27 I believe if
- 25:20they if they do their math right.
- 25:22Unless, unlike how Joe Shane did it with Saquon Barkley, that's
- 25:25one other story. Speaking of those Giants, the
- 25:28Giants are not as flush in cat money whatsoever as The Jets.
- 25:34Looks like they're going to have to do some finagling.
- 25:36They've talked about possibly cutting and likely cutting Bobby
- 25:40O'kereke, their starting linebacker for the last couple
- 25:43of seasons. Just hasn't been very effective
- 25:46out there. Probably can get similar results
- 25:50from a much cheaper player and he's going to want more money
- 25:53after this season anyway. Tight end is a guy and Isaiah
- 25:57likely coming from the Ravens as a name to watch, as is the big
- 26:01ticket name that the Giants are looking at, which is Raven
- 26:04center Tyler Linder Baum, the second ranked center in the
- 26:08league last year according to PFF.
- 26:10Other guys we mentioned Neshawn, right?
- 26:13And then there's Colts wide receiver Daniel Jones's favorite
- 26:16deep ball target this season, Alec Pierce.
- 26:20Defensive tackle DJ Reader is another name, and they may trade
- 26:24Thibodeau to try to free up some of that cap room.
- 26:27Pierce makes a lot of sense for the Giants if they decide not to
- 26:30go for a wide receiver at #5 they could trade out of that
- 26:34spot and still land a wide receiver if they can extend and
- 26:39add more picks. Second round would be more
- 26:41likely where the Giants probably go if they they don't bring a
- 26:44wide receiver in in the first round.
- 26:46But Tate's a guy that I've heard that the Giants are very
- 26:49intrigued speak to, very interested in.
- 26:51They'll wait until the combine to really see if he's 100%
- 26:53healthy. But to me, I think that the
- 26:56Giants are not really going to have much much to move and and
- 27:00much to trade. Now Thibodeau, they could sign
- 27:02and trade him. But it's what I'm hearing it's
- 27:04Dexter Lawrence is where they're going to try to move his
- 27:08contract to, to free up some contract money where they can
- 27:12add maybe 2 pieces for one. I think it's a big mistake if
- 27:16the Giants decide to move Dexter Lawrence.
- 27:18I I still think he has a lot left in him.
- 27:21He has been the cornerstone of their defense.
- 27:23It would be a huge mistake after having one bad season because he
- 27:26wasn't 100% healthy because you like what Burns did.
- 27:29He had one Goodyear. And as far as I'm concerned,
- 27:32when you, when you see Burns is a good player.
- 27:35I'm not saying he wasn't good with Carolina.
- 27:37He was a good player. He was a top 12, top 13
- 27:40linebacker, but he had an unbelievable year this year.
- 27:43Can he do it over and over and over again?
- 27:46And I still think Dexter Lawrence, even though Dexter
- 27:49Lawrence was not at the top, at the top of his game this year,
- 27:52he created double and triple teams that helped Burns.
- 27:55Really, it opened up for Burns to be the player he was.
- 27:58I just, I think it's a big mistake if they let go of
- 28:01Dexter. Lawrence, I'm not hearing that
- 28:02about Dexter. He's the guy because of the
- 28:05contract that he has. There's no reason to because
- 28:08they can wait till the very end and then do the extension void
- 28:11years thing with his contract and free up that room after like
- 28:15all those things where like you can only spend so much of the
- 28:18money. This is a way to like cheat and
- 28:20open up more money later on and they'll use it if if there's
- 28:23like a big name that comes out. He had a down season for his
- 28:26standards last year as far as the stats.
- 28:28He was an all world player the two years consistently before
- 28:31that dude. Not much this year. 4 minutes
- 28:33ago, 4 minutes ago. A heavy as far as I'm I'm
- 28:36reading right now is Giants facing difficult decisions on
- 28:40keeping Dexter Lawrence on a all season.
- 28:42I've seen like 5 stories that they're looking to possibly.
- 28:45I'm just saying that was listen to the.
- 28:47I'm just telling you. Catino and Schmelk and all the
- 28:50Giants beat writers and Visignano and they're all just
- 28:53kind of saying that he's probably going to be more of a
- 28:54down the road situation unless like you said, if someone wants
- 28:58to give first round picks. I don't know, I think they get
- 29:01one for him and maybe a second. But you don't trade him if you
- 29:04can't, you know what I mean? There's they'll get.
- 29:06They'll get what The Jets got for Quinton Williams.
- 29:08They'll get a first. He should be worth more than
- 29:10Quinton Williams is a better player than.
- 29:12Quinton Williams Quinton Williams was better than Dexter
- 29:14Lawrence this past year and. I would disagree with that.
- 29:17They're different players, Like they're one's a three tech,
- 29:20one's A1 tech, but but like they're both very good.
- 29:22This I'm saying that this year going into after the season at
- 29:27Dexter Lawrence have I'm I'm going to say Quinton Williams
- 29:30was better, especially when he went to the Cowboys.
- 29:32He certainly woke their defense up.
- 29:33That's right. You know, like they, they needed
- 29:35a guy like him. So good for them.
- 29:36I'm getting them. Let's get off of this and get
- 29:39into just finishing it up. Not much Western New York sports
- 29:43right now to talk. Obviously, hockey's in the break
- 29:45right now for the Olympics. We'll talk about Olympic hockey
- 29:48on Monday. But the Bills want to talk
- 29:50quickly about their weird story about vandalism at their their
- 29:54stadium that's being constructed.
- 29:56Apparently there's a reward for $100,000 for some graffiti found
- 30:01all over the place inside the building of New Highmark
- 30:04Stadium. It's apparently they're seeing,
- 30:07they think it might be an inside job.
- 30:08Who knows? The Bills are just wacky like
- 30:10that. But the the guys that they need
- 30:12are obvious. They had no pass rush and they
- 30:15had no receivers. So Trey Hendrickson is just
- 30:18sitting there for them. There's no way he's going to the
- 30:21Bengals. They don't have to pay him as
- 30:22much as he got previously because he didn't have the big
- 30:25season. He's a big man.
- 30:28Let's talk about the wide receivers because it's obvious
- 30:30we mentioned the couple with Alec Pierce already and Wandale
- 30:33Robinson, but Mike Evans is the name everyone's talking about
- 30:37for the Bills. Makes so much sense as the
- 30:39outside receiver red zone threat Pickens is available likely, you
- 30:44know, unless he gets tagged or something like that.
- 30:47And then, you know, like Juan Jennings from the 49ers might
- 30:52come available as well as. A kind of I'd stay away from the
- 30:55two day it's Mike Evans that's the guy and automatically that
- 30:59makes him a contender. They need they need a guy that's
- 31:02going to dominate on the outside, go up and get the ball.
- 31:05Josh Allen has not had a player of this magnitude.
- 31:09If Mike Evans go ever, I don't care.
- 31:11You want to say Diggs was great, that's fine.
- 31:13He is not Mike Evans. This guy's a Hall of Famer.
- 31:16He he's a tough player, go up for the ball type of player, red
- 31:21zone dominance. He's everything you want in a
- 31:23wide receiver for the next two years.
- 31:26To have Mike Evans at the top of his game and, and fairly healthy
- 31:29too. I mean, he misses a significant
- 31:31amount of games here and there, but I mean, he misses like two
- 31:34or three games this season, but he still plays a significant
- 31:37amount of games. So I, I, I'm going to tell you
- 31:39this right now, Mike Evans would be the slam dunk for them.
- 31:42I, I, you could bring in a Trey Hendrickson, he'll take less
- 31:45money. Mike Evans would take less
- 31:47money. And if they do, if they bring in
- 31:48those two guys, contenders, Super Bowl contenders, they're
- 31:51the favorites are coming out of the AFC.
- 31:53Slam dunk Mike Evans trade makes perfect sense.
- 31:55I think you trade a big bodied receiver.
- 31:57Back, you don't have to give up much.
- 31:58I would say you either give up third.
- 32:00Round, yeah. Josh Palmer and maybe not even a
- 32:02third round, like maybe get third round.
- 32:03Yeah, because they have so many big bodied receivers Buffalo,
- 32:06but you need you can need one that actually has good talent.
- 32:08Coleman's been obviously streaky with all the off field issues
- 32:10that he had. I'm more worried about their
- 32:12interior than I am with their outside fish.
- 32:14But still at the same time you want to make explore the market.
- 32:17If you can get Hendrickson, maybe if the Giants do trade
- 32:19Thibodeau, that's an option for them to where you have to give
- 32:21them like a third or fourth round pick, which I don't think.
- 32:23But I'm more worried about their second guy next to Ed all he
- 32:27doesn't. Get back healthy.
- 32:28Yeah, I would imagine. I'm looking at the Bills draft
- 32:31and I'm thinking they're going for the beef this year on the
- 32:34defensive side. It would make a lot of sense to
- 32:37me. So let's just finish up.
- 32:39Let's talk a little college. Who Big East basketball, two big
- 32:42teams this year, UConn, Huskies and Saint John.
- 32:45So we're going to focus in on them until the big until the
- 32:48Dance. But as far as the UConn got
- 32:51knocked off by Kraton, it was pretty bad.
- 32:54They were home favorites, 15 1/2 points.
- 32:57They gave up 91 points. Dan Hurley called the defense an
- 33:00absolute. Joke.
- 33:02Lost his mind in a press conference, went a little viral,
- 33:04Said they're playing with fire. They're kind of in a range right
- 33:08now where they could be a 2-3 and if they, I hope not, maybe
- 33:11even a four seed, but probably A2 or a three seed the way it's
- 33:15going right now, St. John's.
- 33:17It's good for both. 12 game win streak right now, third longest
- 33:22in college basketball only behind Liberty and undefeated
- 33:25Miami of Ohio. But one of the games there was a
- 33:28huge fight and St. Second leading scorer Bryce
- 33:30Hopkins got fouled by Duncan Powell.
- 33:34Speedy, you said you were almost.
- 33:36Harold and I had him on the show five years ago and funny, Funny
- 33:40Story. So the first time we were
- 33:42supposed to have him on the show, he left his phone in his
- 33:44locker so he couldn't get it. So we had to reschedule with
- 33:47him. And then he became, I think, one
- 33:48of our first video interviews we ever did on Stream Yard.
- 33:51It looked like he had like the Daniel Bryan front face lock in
- 33:55on on him and that play obviously suspensions for three
- 34:00games for Hopkins, for Powell, for pulling Hopkins down by the
- 34:05head. I will say this, I think UConn
- 34:10is going to be a Final Four team.
- 34:11I think Saint John's could be an Elite Eight Final Four team.
- 34:14I think both teams in the way they've played and, and, and
- 34:18recruiting some of the older players in Saint John's, I think
- 34:21Pitino obviously knows what he was looking for, what he was
- 34:24missing in the the March Madness tournament last year they didn't
- 34:28have enough offense. Well, this year they've been
- 34:30better offensively. They've shot better at the
- 34:33three-point line. I think Saint John's could be
- 34:35very deep, very dangerous because of their defenses,
- 34:38defensive prowess and the youth and obviously the veteran
- 34:41players that they have. You gun, they're young, they
- 34:43have all these 18 and 19 year olds.
- 34:45But I think Danny Hurley is so aggressively funny on and off
- 34:51the court. He yells at the other teams
- 34:53players. He he's to me, he's the the
- 34:56heart and soul of that team. And I think UConn are so
- 34:59dangerous for these tournaments just because Danny Hurley is, he
- 35:03coaches the game completely different than everybody else in
- 35:07the nation. I Uconn's dangerous.
- 35:09I think they have the size and they have the ability to score
- 35:12in many different ways. And of course, the defensive
- 35:14prowess that they have there there could be my favorite to
- 35:17winning the whole thing this year.
- 35:19Yeah. The only team with those kinds
- 35:20of exceptions a little iffy with the offensive efficiency.
- 35:22A very young team which usually doesn't win titles.
- 35:24In today's game, they. Got two guys that could be.
- 35:27Danny Hurley is the one coach I could trust to make that kind of
- 35:29thing work and still win a title.
- 35:30But like you said, St. John looks better offensively.
- 35:33Older and very well coached. Much more deeper offensively
- 35:36thanks to thanks to Hopkins. They have two, I think two other
- 35:39guys that are scoring over 15 a game too, which is something
- 35:41they did not have last year. So definitely a good sign.
- 35:44They'll probably be like a three or four seat unless they win the
- 35:46Big East tournament, then they might be, they might be a 2, but
- 35:48it doesn't matter. They need to build a good
- 35:49foundation. They're doing that.
- 35:51It's been a great one as always, and we got two more segments, as
- 35:55we call this tick tack, no tick, tick.
- 36:01Morris. Right in the butt.
- 36:04We get the prizes cheap because they're stolen, no?
- 36:10No, no, no, no, no. Go ahead, Speedy, what we got.
- 36:19You mentioned some Olympic hockey during your sports
- 36:21medium. We'll we'll start with that USS.
- 36:23Next opponent is Slovakia, who actually was the bronze medalist
- 36:26blowing out Sweden in 2022, the last time before they allowed
- 36:30NHL players back in. However, that Slovakia team did
- 36:32have the number one and #2 overall picks in the NHL draft
- 36:35this year, both getting drafted into the Eastern Conference.
- 36:38You guys get multiple guesses. Name the two teams that had
- 36:40those players. You said this year 2000. 22 NHL
- 36:44Draft. They had the 1st and 2nd overall
- 36:46pick. Which two teams drafted them?
- 36:49Slovakia. From a Slovakia Jesus, I have no
- 36:56idea. Did you say the conference or
- 36:57no? The East Yep to Eastern
- 37:00Conference. I'm going to.
- 37:00I'm going to guess. Yep.
- 37:01What do you got? The Blue Jackets?
- 37:04Nope. I get one more.
- 37:05Yep, we got one more. I'm going to guess again, what
- 37:19do you got, Ottawa? Nope.
- 37:23The Sharks Eastern. Conference.
- 37:24They're West. Oh, I know you said the I didn't
- 37:26say didn't know you didn't say that.
- 37:28All right. And give me the devils.
- 37:31Devils is 1. Yes they were.
- 37:32The number two overall pick was Simonemic.
- 37:35So Will sucked in the Eastern Conference a few years ago.
- 37:41That sucked really bad. Tommy, you want?
- 37:43Me to help you. Yeah, you can take one of my
- 37:46picks. I was going to guess I'm just
- 37:47looking at the teams now, the Blue Jackets.
- 37:49That was already. I said the Blue Jackets.
- 37:51All right, never mind. So then, yeah, you can just go
- 37:53ahead and take my picks. I'll say sabras.
- 37:56Nope. Worst.
- 38:01So like that was the second pick, the first pick.
- 38:05Who's the Slovakian first overall pick a few years ago?
- 38:08Errol. The Hurricanes.
- 38:10Not the Hurricanes. These were in the Frickin
- 38:12finals. Hurricane's always good, so they
- 38:16wouldn't be picking at 2:00. 1000 No.
- 38:21Was this one of the really bad Canadians years?
- 38:26Yes. It was, oh, which is funny
- 38:30because it was actually the year after they made the Phantom Cup
- 38:33in the 56 game season. They fell off badly the next
- 38:36year. Yeah, you're Asha Slovakski is.
- 38:39The first over the winner. Don't ask me how to pronounce
- 38:41that. I think the Nith man is ready to
- 38:42join us by the way y'all. Oh, how wonderful.
- 38:45We've been graced by his presence.
- 38:47Thank you. Everybody.
- 38:49Thanks for for everybody for letting me join your home dog
- 38:53hang out with you on my blue blazer.
- 38:55And Fish, he was one of the players I think you mentioned
- 38:57got a contractor the offseason. Slakovsky, he was one of those
- 39:00three guys. That's what it was.
- 39:03You're not naming that. I didn't realize he was picked
- 39:06though. Yeah, it was.
- 39:07The number one pick it was, it was a question mark at the time.
- 39:09He was a bigger winger but usually wingers unless you're
- 39:11like freaking. I don't know if I like fast,
- 39:13don't usually go that quickly. I don't know if I.
- 39:18All right, Speedy, what's next? All right, so that will I will
- 39:20shift to some college basketball.
- 39:21I was talking about Miami of Ohio in the in my Collier shot.
- 39:24So obviously they're one of the undefeated teams.
- 39:25The only other undefeated team from the state of Ohio was 1960
- 39:29Ohio State, which actually they're starting forward.
- 39:33One of their starting forwards end up being a legendary college
- 39:36basketball coach. Who was this player?
- 39:38Who was this player turned great coach?
- 39:41Oh man, what school you said say?
- 39:42That again to. Me.
- 39:43So this was 1960 Ohio State. They're starting.
- 39:46One of their starting forwards became one of the best coaches
- 39:50in college basketball history. Oh, Fallen.
- 39:55No clue, I didn't tell you. Forwards Ohio State.
- 40:05Yep, he played for Ohio State in the 6061 season.
- 40:08They lost to the championship game, so they didn't finish off
- 40:10the full undefeated season, but they were in the regular season.
- 40:13I'm going to take you guess what are you at, Pat Riley?
- 40:15Nope. College coach.
- 40:17Oh, you could rescind that, College coaches.
- 40:19Oh, college coach. Legendary college coaches.
- 40:21You could get it I guess though. College.
- 40:23You're thinking of the famous Texas Western.
- 40:27College coach. College coach.
- 40:33Forward 1960s. That's hard.
- 40:38Man, so 1960, that means the guy is probably dead right and he's
- 40:43going or like 8080 something. So it's going to be like someone
- 40:49like old time. I'm going to say Bobby Knight
- 40:54it. Is Bobby Knight.
- 40:55There we. Go, I was going to say.
- 40:57That but I thought. It was going.
- 40:58To be too easy. Good job, Fish.
- 41:01I thought. That.
- 41:02Maybe I I I heard that he was Ohio State.
- 41:06I already watched that so. That was not going to get that.
- 41:09All right, we're going to go down here to the corner.
- 41:13Speedy, don't let me sweep you right now, all.
- 41:16Right, we're going to go back to Olympic hockey.
- 41:18So in that USA versus Canada gold medal game in 2010, name
- 41:22two of the three Stanley Cup champions have scored for Canada
- 41:25in that game. In 2010.
- 41:31In 2010, Yep. I'll go Jonathan Tase.
- 41:36That is 1. Yep.
- 41:39Oh, I'm going to sweep. I'm going to do it all by
- 41:41myself. This is what a perfect game.
- 41:44Oh my God. I mean, it feels like it's too
- 41:47obvious. So I I don't want to say it, say
- 41:50it. He's the all time leading point.
- 41:52Sidney Crosby. Yep, that was the.
- 41:56That was the easier one. I didn't know if you would get
- 41:57the other. Timmy, give me some award, give
- 42:00me some bells and whistles for that one.
- 42:02Look at that. This is this is makes my perfect
- 42:06game. As long as she's using dude
- 42:08wipes and taking care of my 2 hole I'm good.
- 42:10Tic Tac. No perfecto, I'll.
- 42:13Give you a lot Breaking news I need Britney also breaking news.
- 42:18I got to go back off now. Breaking news, Buck bug.
- 42:24I can't hear it amongst all this.
- 42:27Suck my indo I love Lisa Ann. Anyways, ladies and gentlemen,
- 42:34that was Tic Tac, No? And now?
- 42:36We have fish. Now we have.
- 42:38Doo Doo. What's that smell?
- 42:42Pass Liquor. Hold up, what is that smell?
- 42:45What's that? Smell.
- 42:51Wow, you don't see that every day.
- 42:53My rear end is burning. Wow, wow.
- 43:02That's all I can say. Oops, gets no coots.
- 43:08All right, ladies and gentlemen, this is the final segment of the
- 43:11night and it's pretty simple. We're going to tell you a story
- 43:14and we're going to tell you what it smells like it it could be
- 43:17any story in sports or it could be something else.
- 43:20Whatever floats your boat and whatever makes you hard, as
- 43:25somebody gets hard every single night when he does this.
- 43:27Do you want to jerk me off? Anyways, ladies and gentlemen,
- 43:31we're going to go. Nathan, are you doing this?
- 43:34Are you a part of this? I don't have anything.
- 43:36All right, so you just sit and listen.
- 43:37Here we go. I got to go back off.
- 43:40Now anyways, he's going to probably do that after in his
- 43:43jail cell anyways. I'll go with Fish.
- 43:48Tommy, Speedy me. Here we go.
- 43:51Smell my ass. OK, let's get it going on.
- 43:54What's that smell? The one I've got for you boys
- 43:57tonight is the smell of oil money.
- 44:02Yes, the Dallas oil money that has been spent, $1,000,000 worth
- 44:08for the debuted rookie jersey of Cooper Flag recently at
- 44:14Sotheby's private auction, $1,000,000 for the jersey he
- 44:19wore the first game of the season this year.
- 44:21Put up 10 points and 10 rebounds on October 22nd.
- 44:25Flag obviously is having a pretty great rookie season.
- 44:29Maybe not a world beating, but a pretty great rookie season.
- 44:33But it appears that the collectors market, especially in
- 44:37the Dallas area, is all over the future prospects of 1 Cooper
- 44:42Flag that $1 million investment might be just that over some
- 44:48time as he goes forward. So what does it smell like?
- 44:52I looked up what crude oil smells like.
- 44:54It smells like a complex, pungent mixture of gasoline,
- 44:58kerosene, diesel and sulfur, which is rotten egg smell.
- 45:03That's I guess. What is?
- 45:06The smell of money in Dallas. I have no sack.
- 45:13All right. Well, that's interesting.
- 45:16Never mind. What's that smell?
- 45:17I'm going to actually not even take the route of.
- 45:19Sports for the first. Time I'm taking the non route of
- 45:27sports and we're actually going to go into the realm of movie
- 45:30business go with people who have been living under a rock and
- 45:33don't know who Academy Award winner Nicholas Cage who that is
- 45:38then you guys are living on a rock like I said but basically
- 45:44Nicholas Cage for those who don't know of I was about to say
- 45:47lives under a rock voices what's it called basically voices a
- 45:53Spiderman in the in the animated series known as Spiderman into
- 45:57the spider verse for those who aren't familiar with that it's.
- 46:00Pretty. Pretty popular animated series
- 46:02basically on top of that in the show, Nicolas Cage, like I said,
- 46:06voices the sort of spider noir vigilante spider man in the
- 46:09show. Well, I don't know who decided
- 46:11it was a good idea, but we now have Nicolas Cage coming to
- 46:15Amazon Prime Video with his own spider noir film.
- 46:19I don't know if it's going to be a film show yet it doesn't look
- 46:22all that great everybody. I got to be completely honest
- 46:24with you and considering that he has this movie with Amazon Prime
- 46:28coming out with. Him portraying John.
- 46:29Madden. I don't really understand what?
- 46:31Who wants to see Nicolas Cage best Spider man in the year
- 46:352026? It's just not.
- 46:37Probably as good of going out and seeing someone like Pete
- 46:40Carroll getting the job of the Raiders coach.
- 46:42So what does that smell like? Well, in honor of the Madden
- 46:45movie I just mentioned, it's going to smell like the most
- 46:48rancid and rotten Turk dungeon that you can imagine being
- 46:53shoved up the one and only Lisa Ann.
- 46:56So there we go. Dildo can I touch it?
- 46:59I love Lisa Ann. Cage.
- 47:01That's great fish. All right, if I said if you
- 47:05ever, if you don't ever want to get a shot at Lisa ad maybe you
- 47:08have to be a animated spider man.
- 47:10Actor, my pinky is bigger than yours and.
- 47:13It probably is, but I'll stay with college basketball for
- 47:16mine. This is kind of a duel.
- 47:17What's that smell? Two different storylines, both
- 47:19centering around the same person.
- 47:21A interesting week for UCLA head coach Mick Cronin.
- 47:24So on Monday he comes out. So Houston head coach Calvin
- 47:29Sampson was taking shots at their basketball program for not
- 47:32doing enough with NIL deals. Mick Cronin responds by venmoing
- 47:38him a dollar and saying, oh, here here's some a little
- 47:41charity to help you out with the with the funding of that.
- 47:43So that was Monday and then on Tuesday against Michigan State
- 47:47when they were getting blown out badly.
- 47:49Their their center Steven Jamerson the second did a
- 47:53flagrant foul and before the referees could even address that
- 47:57a action, whether it was a flagrant one or a flagrant 2, he
- 47:59ejects him from the game. Doesn't even just bench him,
- 48:02doesn't even do anything. Just discipline just throws him
- 48:04out of the game. Tommy is a response.
- 48:06I guess it's a flagrant too. No need to consult from the
- 48:09referee. So a double double duty for Mick
- 48:12Cronin of an eventful. Week for him.
- 48:15For the UCLA head coach. So what does that smell like?
- 48:17Well, Lonzo, Lonzo Ball was a UCLA alum and he had a very
- 48:21dramatic father. Thought he could beat Michael
- 48:23Jordan. So when he loses 777 and nothing
- 48:26in their hypothetical pickup game, it smells like lavar
- 48:29balls, jock strap and tears. Never going wrong.
- 48:37All right, ladies and gentlemen, our final, what's that spell
- 48:40goes to the Olympics and Elisa Liu who wins the gold medal for
- 48:47skating. Women's gold medal, 20 year old
- 48:50Olympic now gold winnel gold medal winner, California native
- 48:55after two years removed and unretired, she wins the gold
- 49:00medal. And it's just an amazing story
- 49:03when you think about somebody that walked away from skating
- 49:06and then comes back back and and it competes.
- 49:08She's a world champion and then complete competes in an Olympics
- 49:13in Milan, who she was definitely going to be a medal contender,
- 49:18but wasn't going to wasn't expected to even win the gold.
- 49:21And to pull off this long skate and do what she did.
- 49:25It's an amazing, amazing story. So congratulations to Elisa Liu
- 49:30for winning the gold medal for the women's skate and
- 49:34sensational story. Retired 20 year old retired,
- 49:37stepped away from skating, didn't want to do it anymore,
- 49:39came back after an injury and just blew everybody away in the
- 49:43last two years in the World Championships and now the
- 49:46Olympics and wins her first, maybe not last gold medal.
- 49:49She's only 20 years old. Maybe she competes in four
- 49:52years. We'll see what happens.
- 49:53But great story. She just won herself a lot of
- 49:57money. Let me tell you, endorsements
- 49:59and all the, the great things that Olympic winners win over
- 50:04the years, sponsorships. This girl has a smile on her
- 50:07face. And by the way, what is that
- 50:09thing between her teeth? I, I've been wondering, you
- 50:12know, what is that? I guess it's an earring or some
- 50:14kind, I don't know, but I, I love everything about her.
- 50:18She, it's a great story. Congratulations to her and
- 50:21congratulations to all the gold. Oh, by the way, congratulations
- 50:25to Team USA women's hockey for winning the gold medal against
- 50:29Team Canada in overtime. They were down 1 nothing going
- 50:32to the third period. Take it to overtime and win the
- 50:35gold medal against Team Canada. So great story as well.
- 50:39Congratulations to Team USA Hockey as well.
