- 0:02SPEAKER_01: Hey guys, welcome back to another episode of Skincare Anarchy.
- 0:05SPEAKER_01: This is your host Ecta, and I am so excited about our guest today because I'm a huge fan of not only her brand but also you know her because she's created something so magical that so many of us resonate with.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: And I think in the realm of makeup and cosmetics, it's so difficult to find products that you can just keep coming back to, keep you know, revisiting and really tried and true staples, you know, in our collection.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: So she needs no introduction.
- 0:34SPEAKER_01: So without further ado, on an welcome Alicia Grande of Grande Cosmetics.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Welcome, Alicia.
- 0:40SPEAKER_01: I'm so excited to host you.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: You're oh well, I'm excited to be here and thank you for that beautiful introduction.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: It means a lot to me that you say that people are coming back for Grande LashMD because it, you know, it it's something that's why I made it, you know, because I want people to come back and love a product that actually works.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: So thank you for saying that.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: No, of course, it's the truth.
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: And you know, you I can't wait to like dive into the actual product because it's such a home run.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: And I think truly it's fair to say it's become like a a benchmark, you know, in the industry for for last serums and for really kind of putting this kind of product, you know, out in the market that gives people options rather than just you know buying 50 cube mascara that never worked.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's true.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: You know, interestingly, yeah, when I started like a 16 years ago, uh, lash serums weren't even a thing.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: You know, people didn't even know they didn't use lash serums.
- 1:36SPEAKER_00: You you used a mascara, right?
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: To get your lashes the way you want it, or maybe you were putting some Vaseline and more, or maybe castor oil on your lashes to moisturize.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Uh, but this was 16 years ago, so it's my sweet 16.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I mean, it's it's it's trending to be a billion-dollar industry.
- 1:57SPEAKER_00: I don't even know if you know that, but in 2025, the lash serum category is going to be a billion-dollar industry.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: And I'll tell you the truth, I had I didn't even think about that when I started this company 16 years ago.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Absolutely not.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: I just knew I had a product that I tested myself.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: I'd work with doctors and scientists to make sure it worked.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: It was fabulous.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: And I had, you know, short burden of lashes after my childbirth.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: So I had postpartum lash loss, and this was magical for me.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: So I needed to bring it to the rest of the world, and that's that's what I'm doing, Eka.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm doing.
- 2:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, you are because honestly, you know, we were talking before the recording, and it's really something that I think, you know, for me as a consumer, I look at this lash serum and I see nothing else like it on the market.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: And that's not an like exaggerated statement anyway.
- 2:51SPEAKER_01: It's the just the truth.
- 2:53SPEAKER_01: I mean, I remember the first time I used it, you know, for myself.
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: I'm I'm somebody who has like very interesting eyelashes where they're very straight, so like they kind of like go downwards.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: So the length never comes out in my lashes, you know, and like one eye has like shorter lashes than the other.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: And it was always something that I felt like I wanted to do something about it, but I was that consumer, you know.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: I bought a bunch of mascara, I would do the curling and all the, you know, everything lash extensions.
- 3:19SPEAKER_01: I did all of it, and it really boiled down to a simple truth, which was I wanted something that would enhance my natural features, you know what I mean?
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Over time, that's what it comes down to.
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: It's like lash extensions and all these products.
- 3:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, they really rack up in pricing.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: And so when I discovered your serum, I really stuck to it, you know.
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: I was like, no, I'm gonna give it a go.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna try it.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: And I did, and within two weeks, like, I kid you not.
- 3:46SPEAKER_01: My mother commented, like, what work is doing your losses?
- 3:49SPEAKER_01: Like, they're longer.
- 3:50SPEAKER_01: I can even see it, you know, in the profile.
- 3:53SPEAKER_01: Like, I'm like, And they're only gonna give you honesty, right?
- 3:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 3:57SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, I want to ask you, you know, tell us about because you've done a lot of like studies into this, right?
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's the leading serum, you know, you've sold 10 million bottles, but like tell us about the research and the studies you've done into the product.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Absolutely.
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Well, I want to say thank you for your testimonial.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: And I am so happy to hear when people are getting amazing results from my product and they feel more confidence in themselves because their lashes look better or their brows or whatever product you're using that you know is grinding and it's enhancing your own natural features.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: But why why do I I have over 10 safety studies?
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: So when I launched the product uh 16 years ago, we did our first study in New City, New York, uh, with a lab, American Medical Association, you know, to test for efficacy and safety.
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: And we we just kept testing and testing year after year and even improving the test and different kinds of tests that we did right now.
- 5:02SPEAKER_00: So we have so many safety and efficacy studies for this product, it's it's actually outrageous.
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: And the last study I did was in uh 2023, it started, went into 2024.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: This was the biggest study of them all.
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: And why did I do this, Aka?
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I I thought I already had enough studies, but you know, there's a lot of things on the internet that that go viral, uh, comments, uh, negativity, this virality world of this digital world that we're living in.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: You know, you can't believe everything that you see or hear.
- 5:39SPEAKER_00: And I was seeing and hearing some some misinformation uh about my product.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: So, you know, I was hearing that, oh, it could could potentially do eye color change or it could potentially give you this very bad irritation or periorbital fabula.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: So I have to tell you, if my product did those things, I would change the formula.
- 6:05SPEAKER_00: I did not set out 16 years ago to make a product that was going to hurt people.
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: I made a product that was going to make people feel better about themselves, like it did for you.
- 6:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 6:18SPEAKER_00: So this last study was very expensive, and I was able to afford it now because I've been in business, you know, so many years that was 15 years in business, and now we're 16.
- 6:28SPEAKER_00: And it was an eight-month study, okay, with 120 participants, which is like a clinical study.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a full-fledged clinical study.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:39SPEAKER_00: It was full-fledged, and you know, you're a doctor, you understand that.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: And we we tested to debunk any of these viral, these myths.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: So in the study, it basically was conclusive that that that there was just potentially a slight irritation can happen, and that was on three people out of the 120.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: And with discontinued use, it goes away.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: Okay, so that's not like unusual.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: When you use skincare, you know, you can get an irritation.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: Not not all people are the same, and not everything people have different sensitivities.
- 7:16SPEAKER_00: So that was basically ruled out.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: And the periorbital fat loss, and I don't even know if your listeners know what that means, but that means that like underneath your eyes, you're losing, you know, you're losing basically uh fat underneath your eyes, so it makes you look like you could be aging real quicker.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: And that was that was ruled out, and discoloration of the uh the iris, and that was ruled out too.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: So a lot of them are tied into some of the pharmaceutical that is much higher concentration than my product, which is considered a cosmetic.
- 7:54SPEAKER_00: I have a their, you know, uh so what their ingredient is is not the same as my ingredient, my ingredient mix, but people get it confused.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: And once people hook on to something on the internet now, it's it's it's impossible to get them away from that.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 8:10SPEAKER_01: I mean, honestly, I I saw Alicia.
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: Honestly, I remember I saw some like negativity about the serum, and I immediately because I know I know this product, I've been using this product.
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: So when I first saw it, I was like, come on, you know what I mean?
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Like, yes, because and I'm not discrediting, okay, cool.
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: You know, if somebody's posting like a testimony, I'm not discrediting them, but I am gonna say one thing.
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: As a scientist, I'm gonna say there is not a single drug that exists in this world that we use, whether it's pharmaceutical, whether it's an OTC product, that there isn't a potential for some sort of reaction in one or two people somewhere in the world.
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: It's always gonna be like that.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: It's just the nature of you know, allopathic medicine and and anything that has to do with chemicals.
- 8:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, that's just reality.
- 8:58SPEAKER_01: I mean, exactly it doesn't mean that you go and you take one testimonial and you blow it into this, you know what I mean, like this huge thing.
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, you know, a brand has to then deal with this intense amount of misinformation.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, I remember I mean, I like as I'm tired, I have more wrinkles from it.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, because it's nonsense sometimes.
- 9:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, I I I remember seeing all of that, and I remember even thinking about it.
- 9:25SPEAKER_01: Like for a while, I was like, I don't I don't understand.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: I've never had a bad reaction to the serum.
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: It's never irritated.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: Now, if you're taking something that's meant for your lash line and you're putting it on mucous membranes, that's different.
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 9:39SPEAKER_01: Like you shouldn't be doing that.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: That's the misapplication, yeah.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: They don't have or overusing, and then it's dripping into their eye, yeah.
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Right, you know, or and like you said, mucous membranes.
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: Some people are putting it on their waterline, on their upper waterline, yeah, and that's where you have mucous membranes, right?
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: So, of course, of course, there's always a possibility when you're using something improperly.
- 10:04SPEAKER_00: So it's really meant to be used for the audience who's even thinking about this, like a liquid eyeliner on your lash line, and one dip is good enough for both lash lines.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: And I understand how people misuse things.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Uh I'm I don't love to read through instructions either, but you know, yeah, so I'm not faulting anyone, but it but it happens, and and then or or this is another thing, Echo.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: Uh oh, someone gets a sty, or they get right.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Well, now everyone who gets a sty who uses granny lash will say, that's because granny lash, but maybe you just got a sty because you got sick or you got an infection, yeah, or right?
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: So they like hop on this negativity bandwagon.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: Well, because it's a they want to blame, they want to blame something outside of themselves.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: People want to always blame something else, and it's here's the thing, and this is something I'm very passionate about, and I will say this I really firmly believe in the idea that if you're using non-efficacious products, you can keep applying them all day long and feel great about yourself, and nothing's gonna happen, and there's gonna be no no results and nothing, you know what I mean?
- 11:19SPEAKER_01: But guess what you can say at the end of the day?
- 11:21SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, I didn't have any irritation, I didn't have any, you know, yeah, because you're basically applying water, you know what I mean?
- 11:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 11:29SPEAKER_01: The product isn't meant to do anything in the first place.
- 11:31SPEAKER_01: That's another big one, you know.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: It's like you know, if something happens, it's a lot of lash rooms that came out after me that are really not efficacious, and and that's the biggest thing, too, is safety is always number one.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Okay, it is efficacy, was is was is is right up there with it, right?
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: So, well, who wants to spend time putting things on their face and spending their hard-earned money if it's not going to work?
- 11:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and and and you know, if you look up the I have over 50,000 reviews on on Amazon and a 4.3 rating.
- 12:06SPEAKER_00: We're also in Sephora, we're also in Alta, we're also in Nordstrom.
- 12:10SPEAKER_00: I mean, my the the the results are on, I'm not saying it.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: I tell people, look up the reviews.
- 12:19SPEAKER_00: Don't that's what I do when I buy something, and they say it works, it works, it works.
- 12:24SPEAKER_00: Of course, it's gonna be 10 it works, and there's gonna be one that says it didn't work for me, or oh, a lot of times it doesn't work for you because you're not even staying with it, you're not being consistent, you know.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: It's like I go on a diet, I go off of it, I'm eating uh pasta, I'm eating cookies, and oh, then I wonder why, you know.
- 12:47SPEAKER_00: Consistency is everything.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: And with Granny Lash MD, consistency is very important.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: Your lashes have a three-month cycle.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: So in our uh two milliliter, that is a three-month supply that gets you from start to finish.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: So, and and you know that product, that's probably the you know, our number one size.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: So the first tube is gonna last you a full three months, and you will get your full results.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: So you'll have that full lash transformation where if you're really using it, you're gonna see it, people are gonna notice it, like your mother noticed it.
- 13:21SPEAKER_00: My what funny story when I was first uh using the product, I uh a doctor and a scientist had made it, and I told I said before I had postpartum last lash loss after having my two sons.
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: So I didn't think I was gonna get my lashes back, and it was kind of depressing, you know.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: I gained weight, I lost my lashes.
- 13:40SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I gained in places I didn't want to gain it, I lost in places I didn't want to.
- 13:45SPEAKER_00: So my my husband looked at me and we were watching this, you know, we're always binge watching TV, and we were watching a long time ago the show Lost.
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: I don't know if you remember with the dinosaurs, and yeah, and he looked at me and he said, What did you do to your lashes?
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: Why are they so long?
- 14:02SPEAKER_00: And I said, Oh my goodness.
- 14:05SPEAKER_00: And I was testing that product at that point because I had a radio show before I even started Grande because I was obsessed with beauty and skincare, like yourself.
- 14:17SPEAKER_00: And I was testing it and I realized how well it worked.
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: And my last name really is Grande.
- 14:24SPEAKER_00: No relation to Ariana Grande, but thank you for all of the notoriety, Ariana.
- 14:31SPEAKER_00: I know it helped my sales.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: So um, if you ever hear this podcast and you want, you have a lifetime supply of Grande Lash M D.
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: So I'm sure she uses it.
- 14:41SPEAKER_01: We just don't know.
- 14:43SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly, exactly.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: I I'll tell you, you know who is using it is Brooke Shields.
- 14:49SPEAKER_00: Oh I actually had an event, yeah, in my house in the Hamptons, and she came and she's so sweet.
- 14:56SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, she's she started uh you should get her on your show.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: She started a hairline for women over 40.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: So, you know, we we kind of have that in common that we're really trying to help women to feel better about themselves because as you age, you start feeling like less noticed, you know, and you need ingredients that are efficacious that are really going to give and deliver results.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: So we really were bonding over that.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: And she's a big fan of Granny Lash and Granny Brow.
- 15:28SPEAKER_01: So I really product.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: I think that that's what really, you know, for me in the you brought up an interesting point, and and that is that in the beauty industry, there's a lot of products, and I feel like sometimes it becomes this like almost, you know, a curse when you create something so good and it, you know, goes viral and it comes into the hands of everyone, you know what I mean?
- 15:52SPEAKER_01: And everyone's looking at it and everyone's like criticizing or like commenting, and then there's people out there that are just like, Well, if everyone's having all these results, like I want to see mine immediately.
- 16:03SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: It's like almost it like accelerates the expectations, I think, of consumers when they see a viral product.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: And I've seen this time and time again, I've seen this happen, you know, where people are like, Yeah, well, I didn't see any results at all, you know.
- 16:17SPEAKER_01: And it's like, well, that's because 15 of your friends actually used it properly, you know, and you're you're talking about a young a younger demographic, right?
- 16:26SPEAKER_00: So, I mean, right now I'm I'm Gen X, so I'm gonna be 55 in October.
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Um, but when you look at TikTok, and we're we're by the way, starting to do well with TikTok shops, but it is those instant gratification products that are doing well.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Like we have a product called Grande Brow Laminate, which is it, you know, makes your brows look instantly laminated, right?
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: Then we have a uh lash lifted, uh lash lift, it's a heated lash tool.
- 16:54SPEAKER_01: Oh, I love that tool.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: I love that tool.
- 16:56SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, I couldn't live without that tool.
- 16:59SPEAKER_00: I I really, yeah, I mean it's a game changer.
- 17:01SPEAKER_00: And so those things are doing better, believe it or not, on TikTok than granny lash update.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: I think, yeah, because a lot of people are not, they're young, you know, uh it's it it caters more to a younger demographic that really there's not a real lifetime value there with with products.
- 17:24SPEAKER_00: They're kind of like, you know, there's no brand loyalty.
- 17:28SPEAKER_00: And and that's what's happening, even with the lash serum.
- 17:32SPEAKER_00: Uh I've seen some some competitors try to come out through TikTok, and it's crazy.
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: I'm not gonna name any names, but we we tested their product, they they have different ingredient lists.
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: What's inside is not really what's inside, and it's it's scary.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: A lot of them are made in China, they're dupes, and they're just you know, so it it you know, these are your eyes.
- 17:55SPEAKER_00: Your eyes, yeah, you know, you don't you you you don't want to you don't know what you're putting on your near your eye, it needs to be safe.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: Uh and I'm not saying this because I want to sell the product to anyone.
- 18:07SPEAKER_00: I I'm it's like a PSA, like please do your research.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: We have all the studies on our website because we're proud of it.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: We wear it like a badge, you know.
- 18:18SPEAKER_00: It's like this is a safe and efficacious product.
- 18:22SPEAKER_00: And if you're gonna use an eyelash serum, please, you know.
- 18:27SPEAKER_00: I know it's we're in a struggling economy and people are very price sensitive.
- 18:33SPEAKER_00: Well, I'd rather say don't use anything, don't you know, if you're gonna use something that really doesn't have the safety backing like granny lash and date.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Just don't use it.
- 18:47SPEAKER_00: You can't afford, yeah.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: And I think in the the dupe thing is really interesting what you brought up because there's a lot of damage that's done actually by those products more than anything.
- 18:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, I've seen a lot of people see, you know, a great product and they're like, well, I want the cheaper option, or I want the one that's like in the color packaging I prefer, or you know, whatever, you know, whatever people's reasoning is.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: But the thing is that I've seen more damage come from that than anything else.
- 19:14SPEAKER_01: And I and I really think that it's important to amplify that message is that, you know, when you're gonna go after a product such as, you know, grandelash MD, you're you're looking for results, you're not doing it because, you know, for whatever, like for a day or two, you're actually wanting to enhance your natural features.
- 19:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like you want it to work.
- 19:35SPEAKER_01: So there's no dupe for that.
- 19:38SPEAKER_01: Like you can't, you can't dupe.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: I love it.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: You're right.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: You can't dupe something that works, yes.
- 19:46SPEAKER_00: I mean, it exactly.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: And and and this was really, you know, it's been around for 16 years.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: It is an original formula, yeah.
- 19:55SPEAKER_00: So I mean, there's been tweaks along the way, but but you know, the just just super minor.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: And I mean, I'm I'm so now you said you use it.
- 20:04SPEAKER_01: Did you get your mother to use it when she's so I yeah, no, my mom, my mom never uses a lot of uh products, but I mean she always like you know looks through whatever I get and whatever I recommend to her.
- 20:14SPEAKER_01: She hasn't used it yet, but I think she she'd love it, you know, because she's a very mom.
- 20:19SPEAKER_01: I only give her the best, and I I really would love for her to try it because she's one of those people that doesn't believe in like like a lot of makeup, so she loves enhancing natural features, you know what I mean, and just like whatever she can naturally do to like, you know, if if something's gonna help her eyelashes grow, she'll do it.
- 20:35SPEAKER_01: And a lot a lot of consumers are like that.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: And I I feel like these kind of products for me is what excites me about beauty.
- 20:42SPEAKER_01: You know, I'll be honest with you.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Like, you know, the beauty industry is a vast industry, it's got a lot of stuff, there's a lot of cosmetics out there.
- 20:49SPEAKER_01: But when it comes to what can I do to actually have lasting results, you know what I mean?
- 20:55SPEAKER_01: Where I don't have to like, you know, break the bank every time I want to.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: Well go for plastic surgery or whatever.
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: Not that I'm saying anything bad about it, but like that's another thing.
- 21:06SPEAKER_00: Like, and when people are looking at your lashes and your brows and they see them looking beautiful, that you know, they're and they're talking to you and they see your eyes, and they're not looking at some of the other flaws, right?
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: That we and I don't want to say flaws, signs of aging that maybe you want to change, but but you're now attracting them to your eyes, and that is and then they're and you know what you want to be looked at, you want to be spoken to, and your eyes are what speak.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: So it it's it's really it's so nice to see that.
- 21:42SPEAKER_00: And for your mom, too, the granny brow, because a lot of women, as they're aging, and and men, we're losing our brows.
- 21:50SPEAKER_00: You could be a side sleeper, okay, and you have a half a brow, or or maybe they're just thinning out from hormones over time.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: So oh they do they yeah they do a lot.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:03SPEAKER_00: So grande brow, uh I I want to make sure she gets those two and even ask for the um how's her hair?
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Is her hair thinning?
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: She's good with hair.
- 22:13SPEAKER_01: We have so much hair in our family.
- 22:16unknown: Okay.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: I always I always joke around.
- 22:18SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I can make about three wigs with just my hair.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Okay, okay, good, good.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: Well, when women age, uh, especially women and and the hair is thinning, you know, it it's it's so hard.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: And and from COVID, a lot of people had that, you know, intelligent effluvium where they lost hair and they were just seeing tongues coming out into the out of the shower, you know, you're seeing it on the by the the the the the drain.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so we we have grande hair.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: And I like most people don't even know that we have that, and it's based on the same technology as grande lash and granite brow.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: So it has those same ingredients that are scientifically proven, tested, of course, and we have the before and afters to prove it for your hair.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: So uh that's also available in like on Amazon and Alta and Sephora.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: So yeah, the granite hair is, and a lot of people don't want to use rogain because they say that it's you know, there's some side effects with itchiness, or I've heard sexual side effects, all these things.
- 23:24SPEAKER_00: So, but you know, rogain it definitely works, but I think after some people it doesn't agree with or they've been on it for a long time, maybe you plateau, I'm not sure, but grande hair we and all of the products uh have a 90-day money back guarantee.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, I you know, when I started, I I I put a 90-day money-back guarantee because if it doesn't work for you, last thing I want is that you're gonna lose money on my products.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: I I I you know, this is not why I'm in business.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: Exactly, exactly.
- 23:56SPEAKER_01: No, I think it's really I think it's a really great set of products.
- 24:00SPEAKER_01: I've always enjoyed all of your products, so I'm not even gonna lie.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: Like, I I really have always appreciated your brand because it's it's very new, you know, in the sense of like you actually provide solutions, and that's rare in a cosmetics line.
- 24:14SPEAKER_01: It's rare, it's very rare.
- 24:16SPEAKER_01: And I think that especially, you know, we were talking about the the heat curler that you have, yeah.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: The grindy lash lift, yeah.
- 24:22SPEAKER_01: I kid you not, Alicia.
- 24:24SPEAKER_01: When I first saw that product, I was like, why did no one else come up with this before?
- 24:29SPEAKER_01: Like, this is the curling iron for your eyelashes, you know what I mean?
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 24:34SPEAKER_01: It's literally brilliant.
- 24:35SPEAKER_00: Like, I love it, and and it and it's rechargeable, you just use the USB.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: I I like to take that along with me in my bag because especially like at four o'clock when you're having like that lash lull and you want to like a pick-me-up, it it actually works with the mascara, it helps to reheat the mascara so and it lifts your lashes, so it almost looks like you have a fresh coat of mascara on with a lift, you know, it really it opens your eye, you get that wide-eyed look.
- 25:03SPEAKER_00: So it's it's fabulous.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: No, I love it.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: I absolutely love that product.
- 25:07SPEAKER_01: I use it as well, like literally almost every day.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: It's always in my bag somewhere, you know.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: So I I agree with you because and that's what I mean is like your line to me, like as a consumer, doesn't just stand for another cosmetics line, it stands for really truly like genuinely novel options in cosmetics.
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: I mean, you're not you're not redundant, there's no redundancies in what you're doing, you know.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: And that's for me personally speaking, I think that consumers want something that's going to not only work, but it's going to become a staple.
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: You know what I mean?
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: And there has to be no there has to be something unique there.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: You know, you can't keep doing the same thing over and over again.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: So I'm a huge, huge fan of what you're doing and I what you've been doing.
- 25:47unknown: Yeah.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: I I no, I really appreciate it.
- 25:49SPEAKER_00: And I want to make sure that you get the lash and the brow for your mother and the lash lift.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: And uh yeah, and also, I don't know if you know about our granny brow two and one.
- 26:00SPEAKER_00: Have you tried that one?
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: I don't, I haven't tried the brows because I I never use brow products because my brows are like male brow eyebrows.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, I trim them more than anything.
- 26:10SPEAKER_01: But no, my I I use the the eyelash one because I have just like short, stubby eyelashes, and like ever since I started using it, it's just helped me because I can't tell you how much money I've spent on mascaras.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: Like, I cannot, like, it's a sin.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: How much money you know when you when you put on mascara, do you put the mascara like just on underneath your lash or do you ever put it over your lashes too?
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: I actually like over and under.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: I've I've heard about that trick.
- 26:37SPEAKER_01: Like I heard it later though.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: I try the I do the under first and then I do a little bit on top.
- 26:42SPEAKER_01: But I mean, tell me, is that right, or is that is there a better way?
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: It does work, yeah.
- 26:47SPEAKER_00: You I I like to go over and then under.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: So it does, it does really help them like to thicken your lashes.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: So just trying to give, you know, a little beauty tip here.
- 26:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm gonna try that.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna try that.
- 27:01SPEAKER_00: And then really with any mascara, I would just warn people that make sure that you're using a mascara that doesn't have like alcohol because it could be drying your lashes.
- 27:11SPEAKER_00: And we do have a line of like, you know, peptide slash castor oil enriched mascaras on on our website at Granny Cosmetics and and Sephorn Alta offer those too.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: So yeah, those are those are, you know, they're I don't just make a regular mascara because listen, you could buy a mascara that's good for$10, right?
- 27:31SPEAKER_00: And there are a lot of really great mascaras for$10.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: And and I so if I'm putting, if I'm gonna make a mascara, it has to have that, like you said, a beauty solution, something that's enriching your lashes.
- 27:43SPEAKER_00: So these mascaras are, you know, they're infused with ingredients to help enhance your own lashes, but it's not gonna replace granny lash MD.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: It won't do the same job as granny lash and be.
- 27:54SPEAKER_00: No, no, no, no.
- 27:55SPEAKER_01: No, that's just that's just a very, very special product.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: And I really encourage everybody listening.
- 28:00SPEAKER_01: If you guys have not tried Granny Lash MD, you really need to.
- 28:03SPEAKER_01: Like, I could not be more, you know, emphatic by saying that because I I really, really think that there are certain products in our industry that are just you can't beat them, you know, and this is one of them.
- 28:14SPEAKER_01: Like they're just staples, and nobody else has recreated it, nobody else is doing it the same way.
- 28:19SPEAKER_01: And the results I've tried them, trust me.
- 28:21SPEAKER_01: I have tried them.
- 28:23SPEAKER_01: I have, you know, just a lot of curiosity.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: You get a lot of stuff sent to you.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I get a lot of products, and I've tried every single one, and I I keep coming back to it because it works, you know, and that's the bottom line.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: That's the bottom line.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: That's it, it works, it works, it works, and that's what the reviews say, and it's safe and efficacious.
- 28:42SPEAKER_00: So that's all I could say, and and and it means a lot to me to hear you say that as well with your background.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: So I appreciate that.
- 28:51SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I really want to actually like applaud you for like kind of fighting the good fight here with this and like doing the studies and giving us that knowledge as consumers.
- 29:01SPEAKER_01: Like, seriously, like hats off to you because a lot I know a lot of people would just fold under that pressure, you know, when you have a viral product and someone's just trying to bring it down, and and instead you took that and you used it as a more of an opportunity to like really further validate what you're doing, and I love that.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: So I I'm here for that, you know, and I really applaud you and yeah, yeah, it has been an exhausting year with that, but I appreciate that.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: And I always think, you know what, you can't hide, you gotta get ahead of things, and that's that's my motto in life, and and that's that's that's how I roll.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: That's how I roll.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: Well, thank you so much, Alicia.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: It's been an honor as always to chat with you to learn from you.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
