- 2:16Carter, Master Detective. Oh gosh, Nick, I just don't like tramping
- 2:30around in an old cemetery in the middle of a careful smaller gravestones are hard
- 2:36to see, you're telling me I almost broke my neck on Betsy. Look
- 2:40at headstone there? What about it? Nick? Or don't you see the
- 2:44name on it? Yes? But so what? Nick? This grave holds
- 2:47the key to the whole mystery. Now the case of the Graveyard Gunman.
- 2:57Today's exciting adventures starring lawn clocks Nick Carter brought to you buying new post war
- 3:02old Dutch cleanser. As our story opens, the somblance quiet of Patsy Bowen's
- 3:07room is suddenly broken by the harsh, urgent jangling of the telephone. HM
- 3:15oh, hello, Patsy, this is Nick. Nick. Oh, Nick,
- 3:21it's two o'clock in the morning. Where are you down at the homicide
- 3:24Bureau in Maddy's office? What's happened me? Remember Nate Benedict, the guy
- 3:29who stole the Felix Garth jewels. Nate Benedict, Why, of course you
- 3:34helped send him up about three years ago. That's right. Well, he
- 3:37escaped from the pan about ten o'clock last night. Escaped. Yes, I'll
- 3:40pick you up in twenty minutes, Patsy. I put Benedict in prison,
- 3:45and I'm going to see that he goes back. But what are we going
- 3:55to do at the office, Nick, There are a couple of things I
- 3:58want to check up on the name and address of Nate Benedict's girlfriend. For
- 4:01one, I remember her name. It was Kay Florian. Why, yes,
- 4:06that's it. You think Bendict will try to contact her? He might.
- 4:11One thing we can be sure of, he'll go after the fifty thousand
- 4:13dollars worth of jewels he hid somewhere. Yes, I wonder where he hid
- 4:17them. You're not the only one who wonders, Bessy. When Benedict refused
- 4:21to talk, the insurance company had to pay off Felix Garth collected the full
- 4:26fifty thousand. Well, here we are, I've got my key right here.
- 4:31Nick. Oh, oh, I'm still sleepy. I'll snap on the
- 4:44lights. Flim I got him, great, Scott. The place is a
- 4:48shambles. Oh, Nick, has been a fighting here. I certainly looks
- 4:53that way. I've got a load of that filing cabinet. Somebody's forced it
- 4:58open. Let's have a look at my office, right, Nick, Your
- 5:01office been ransacked too, Someone must go over there by your desk. Is
- 5:06a man lying on the floor on the lights? Oh? Is it?
- 5:10White light running over? Oh? But I don't know who he is,
- 5:14Passy, and there's no use asking him. He's been murdered. I got
- 5:29Maddie on the phone. Nick, he'll be right over. Oh. Thanks,
- 5:30pass Did you find anything on the body to identify him? Just a
- 5:33slip of paper in his pocket with an address on it? Night ten,
- 5:36nineteen ten, nineteen Willow Hill Drive, Uh huh? What do you suppose
- 5:41he was after? Nick? Whatever it was, it was important enough for
- 5:44someone to follow him here and take it away from him after he put up
- 5:46a fight exactly. My guess is that whoever killed him didn't mean to do
- 5:50it here in the office. When the fight started, there wasn't any choice.
- 5:55Nick. Maybe we can find out what they wanted if we check our
- 5:58crossfiles against there in the drawer that was forced open. That'll tell us of
- 6:01a file folder is missing. That's my girl, good idea. I'll read
- 6:05the names on the cross file and you check them against the folders in the
- 6:08drawer. Good you ready? Huh? Adams, Albright, Anderson, Applegate,
- 6:15Babcock, Banister, Carton, Benedetta. Yeah, the file and Nate
- 6:23benedicta is missing. Five hours ago Benedict escaped from prison. That's no coincidence.
- 6:27Pass Well, why would he want our file card in his own case?
- 6:30Why would anyone want it? The answer to that is somewhere on this
- 6:33cross file card. You mean, because it contains all the information we had
- 6:38on the original card, the one that's missing. Yes, has everything down
- 6:43to Benedict's family name, his family name, Yes, he changed his name.
- 6:46Here's a goo. His father's name was Benedetto according to the cards.
- 6:54That's strange. What name the address written on that slip of paper I found
- 6:59on the dead man was It's ten nineteen Willow Hill Drive. You know whose
- 7:01address that is? No? Who's Felix guards the man Benedick stole the jewels
- 7:08from very same Pat's see. As soon as Maddie gets here to take over,
- 7:13we're going to pay a call on mister Phelick Garth, mister Carter,
- 7:26miss blown. Thank you. Sorry to break in on you at this hour,
- 7:29mister Garth. But oh not at all, mister Carter. As a
- 7:32matter of fact, I just heard of Nate Benedict's escape and was about to
- 7:35call you. Call me. Why about a visitor I had yesterday? Who
- 7:41was he? Mister Gard? He wouldn't give me his name, but he
- 7:45said he could find out where Benedict had hidden my jewels. That's so yes,
- 7:49and he offered to get them for me if i'd pay him five thousand
- 7:53dollars. You agree, Why not? The insurance company is offering your reward
- 7:57of five thousand dollars for the jewels. What if this man looked like mister
- 8:00Gard? Oh he was rather nondescript characters small sandy here war a gray pinstripe
- 8:07suit. Mister god. Less than an hour ago we found that man in
- 8:13my office, murdered, murdered, good heavens. Oh excuse me, hello,
- 8:20This is Sergeant Mathieson of a homicide bureau. Is Nick Carter? There?
- 8:22Yes, just a moment for you, mister Carter. Oh thanks,
- 8:28hello, it's Marty Nick we've identified the guy you found in your office.
- 8:31Who was he? His name was Sammy Gates got out of a pen on
- 8:35parole last week. What and that ain't all? Nick? The whole time
- 8:39Sammy was in the can, his cell mate was our old pal Nate Benedict.
- 8:56Is Maddy going to meet us at the Melbourne Arms apartments? Nick,
- 8:58He said to me waiting out in front, he wants to be there.
- 9:01When we questioned Benedict's girl, Kay Florian, what does he expect to find
- 9:05out? I don't know, Patsy. As far as I'm concerned. The
- 9:09only question I want answered is what was on that file card that would have
- 9:13told Sammy Gates where the Felix Garth jewels are hidden? You're sure that was
- 9:18why Gates was after the file That's the only way it adds up. Gates
- 9:22was Benedict' sell made in prison. Yeah, evidently he learned enough from Benedict
- 9:26to know he could locate the jewels from something in R five and he tried
- 9:31to do it, but Benedict wrote prison found Gates trailed into our office and
- 9:35surprised him there, and there was a fight and Gates was killed. The
- 9:39way it looks at the moment. Patsy, Well, here is the Mailbourne
- 9:41arm, isn't he? Ah, that's Maddie waiting for us. Hello,
- 9:46sergeant, Oh hello, Patsy. Hi Leck, what's the word, Mattie?
- 9:50Should we go in and talk to Kay Florian? Yeah, I've been
- 9:52casing the joint a little. Her apartments on the first floor, right around
- 9:56the corner from the desk. This way, follow me. I take it
- 10:00you've had someone watching her. Oh sure, I planted a man out here
- 10:03as soon as I heard Benedict escape. But the Dame hasn't punched from a
- 10:05room. Oh here we are, apartment one, oh one. I'll not
- 10:11wait waite, Mandy, listen, but I tell you I can't tell you.
- 10:13It's too dangerous. She's talking to someone on the phone. No,
- 10:18no, I tell you the police are watching me. Marry Yeah, Nick
- 10:20can get out to the desk in the lobby and get that call traced.
- 10:24Hurry before she hangs up. Okay, Nick, I'm not trying to avoid
- 10:28you, but you can't come here. Maybe I couldn't meet you somewhere later.
- 10:31I think she's talking to Benedict. Nick sounds like it. Yes,
- 10:35I understand, all right, I'll call you later. Yes, yes,
- 10:39good bye? She hung up. Nick. Oh, Maddy had time to
- 10:43have the call trace. Come on, Yeah, the desk is right around
- 10:48here to the left. Keep your fingers crossed. That call could lead it's
- 10:50the Benedict. Oh there's the sergeant any luck? Many? Yeah? Nick?
- 10:56The operator trace the coal. Yeah, it came from the carried take
- 11:00his cottage out at Wildwood Cemetery. Wildwood Cemetery, that's where Nick caught up
- 11:05with Benedict when he arrested him. Right, Nick, how was the place
- 11:07all right? We fought it out with him out there. That's where the
- 11:11newspapers called him the graveyard Gunman. He must be there again, Nick,
- 11:15I will soon find out. Marry. I suggest you call headquarters. Get
- 11:18as many men as you can spare out the wild Wood immediately, right Nick,
- 11:20I'll have the cemetery completely surrounded in five minutes. Operator operate Operator,
- 11:28get me police headquarters and stuff on it. Hello, Headquarters, this is
- 11:33Sergeant Mathieson. I want to but what what is it? Many? Yeah?
- 11:41Yeah, I got it, Okay, I'll be right in. Well
- 11:43what do you know about that? What's happened? Many? The state police
- 11:46cornered Nate Benedict a half hour ago, there was a gun battle and Benedict
- 11:52was killed. Why did they find him? That's what's the screwing, Nick.
- 11:54He was only five miles from the penitentiary when he was trapped. He
- 11:58never got any five miles. But what that means he hasn't even been in
- 12:03town, right, Patsy. And that means that our theory is blown up
- 12:07in our faces. Nate Benedict couldn't have murdered Sammy Gates. Momentarily stunned by
- 12:18the unexpected news of Nate Benedict's death, Nick realized that what seemed to be
- 12:22an open and shutcase has suddenly developed into a deep mystery, and that he's
- 12:26dealing with a daring and desperate murderer. We'll see what happens in just a
- 12:30moment. Now back to the case of the Graveyard Gunman. Today's adventure with
- 12:37Nick Carter brought to you by a new post war all Dutch glender. As
- 12:43we pick up our story, Nick, Patsy, and Maddie have returned to
- 12:46Nick's office following the news of Nate Benedicck's death, a death that has turned
- 12:52the murder of Sammy Gates from what appeared to be a clear cut case into
- 12:56a perplexing mystery. Hell, if Benedict dead, I'm stymy, Nick,
- 13:01where do we go from here? Has only one other lead? Maddy?
- 13:03Yeah, what's the fact that I first arrested Benedict out in Wildwood Cemetery And
- 13:07that's tonight his girlfriend Kay Florian got a phone call from out there. Oh
- 13:11we thought the call came from Benedy. Sure, but now we know it
- 13:13couldn't have, right, So who was it that called? Well, the
- 13:16sergeant traced the call to the caretaker's cottage, and wouldn't the caretake if he
- 13:20worth talking to? Oh? Come on, oh, Nick, we're not
- 13:24going out to Wildwood Cemetery. Why not? Everything else in this case has
- 13:28turned out to be a dead end, So why not try cemetery? Oh
- 13:41gosh, Nick, I just don't like tramming around in a graveyard in the
- 13:45middle of the night. Yeah, what's it getting this? The caretaker is
- 13:48in home, his cottage is dark, So why don't we blow was he
- 13:50maybe back at any minute? Matty? And I think it's worth hanging around
- 13:52for a while here. Let's go this way. Oh but Nick, Oh,
- 13:58hard to see those smaller gravestones. You're telling me I almost broke my
- 14:01name? What is he? What are you looking at? The headstone there?
- 14:05The one my flashes on. You see what I see? Just another
- 14:09headstone as far as I'm concerned. Look at the name, Joseph Benedetta benedetto
- 14:16Nick. That was the name on the crossfiled cards. What are you talking
- 14:18about, Maddie. Joseph Benedetta of the man who's buried here was Nate Benedict's
- 14:22father. He said, well, I'll be a monkey's uncle. And hey,
- 14:26good here behind the headstone, Hey, fresh dirt, somebody's been doing
- 14:31some bigg in here lately. Unless I miss my guests, what they got
- 14:35out of that hole was Felix God's jewels. Of course, that's what Sammy
- 14:39Gates was after now filed Nate Benedict's family name. Right. Gates must have
- 14:43known that I arrested Benedict out here in this cemetery. Apparently he'd wormed the
- 14:48information out of Benedict somehow that the jewels were buried behind his father's tombstone,
- 14:50which means that to find the jewels all he had to do was to find
- 14:54out the right name of Benedict's fault me. That means that someone besides then
- 15:00Dick knew the jewels were buried here. Sure, and whoever that's someone is
- 15:03followed Gates to your office and killed him to keep him from finding out the
- 15:07name on this gravestone. You may be right? Many? Oh bet,
- 15:09I'm right, and I'll lay you wadds. I know who it was.
- 15:13Kay Florian's the only one that could have been Kay Florian. Sure she was
- 15:16Nate's girlfriend. She's the only one we hit the ground. Stay behind the
- 15:22stone shooting at us? Oh yeah, well two can play that game.
- 15:28Shots behind those bushes over they're many, right, I'll smoke them out.
- 15:35They hold it? Many, whoever it was, I think you scart him
- 15:39away. You are right. It seems to get my heart out of my
- 15:43throat. I will be well. Looks like we've got another graveyard gunman on
- 15:46our hands. Wick. Come on, let's take a look at those bushes.
- 15:50Careful, nick h here this is the spot right here. No one's
- 16:00here. What is is a man standing right over there? Stay mare?
- 16:08You are all of you? Don't move? Got a gun? N What
- 16:11do you do here? Why you do all the shooting? Maybe you could
- 16:15answer that question, brother, But on that gun pile, you're talking to
- 16:18the police. Oieah, yeah, who are you? My name is Otto.
- 16:23I am care take your cemetery. So you're the caretaker. H yeah,
- 16:27I come home. I hear shooting. I run out here. And
- 16:30of course you didn't do the shooting. Your no, no, no,
- 16:33I shoot no one at all. Right, take it easy at him.
- 16:37You made a telephone call a couple of hours ago, I believe, called
- 16:41missus Kay Florian at the Melbourne Arms apartments. Why no, I know Cornay
- 16:45traced the phone call your cottage. Wanted to see her, but she wouldn't
- 16:49let you come to her apartment. No on my point. Okay, if
- 16:52he won't talk, we'll have to run him in. Come on, Otto,
- 16:56you're going down the headquarters. No no, no, wait, I
- 17:00I talk. I tell you everything. That's better. You did call miss
- 17:03Florian, right? Yeah? What about about the jewels, the Felix Scarth
- 17:07jewels. Yeah, that's the missus Florian has done what I tell you?
- 17:12Nick, oh on't how do you know she has them? Last night?
- 17:15She come here, she digged them up. I see her do it.
- 17:18I didn't know who she was. I go to Benedict trial three years ago.
- 17:22I see her. So after you saw her dig up the jewels,
- 17:25you called her and demanded money to keep quiet about the fact that she had
- 17:27them. Is that it? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, that's right.
- 17:30You thank you for telling the truth. Nick. Well, there's one way
- 17:33to find out Patsy. How's that such by talking to kay Florian like I
- 17:37wanted to do in the first place. That's what we've got to do.
- 17:40Maddie, all right, then what are we waiting for. Let's go see
- 17:42the Florian dame for my dough. She's got a murder to explain. It's
- 17:47one thing you're overlooking, Maddy. Oh yeah, what's that? According to
- 17:51Oatrow, the Florian woman dug up the jewels last night. So what time
- 17:56was it at him? About ten o'clock? In other words, Maddy,
- 17:59before m Gates was killed, she already had the jewels. What difference did
- 18:03it make to her whether Sammy found up where they were buried? Nick's got
- 18:06a point, Sergeant, No, I don't see it. If Gates hadn't
- 18:08found the jewels behind this gravestone, it had gone after the Florian babe.
- 18:12So she bumped him off, not only to protect the jewels, but to
- 18:17keep Gates from bumping her off. No, that's up, don't it.
- 18:19Maybe Maddy, maybe not. We'll know after we hear her story. Let's
- 18:23go. Well, come on, come on, sister, come on talk,
- 18:40and I'm telling you I got nothing to talk about. We know you
- 18:42have the goth jewels, Miss Florian? Where are they? I never heard
- 18:45of him? You dug up the jewels from behind the gravestone and Wildwood Cemetery
- 18:49between nine and ten o'clock last night. Otto says. He told us his
- 18:55story, Miss Florian, how he tried to shake you down for some money
- 18:57to keep it quiet that you have the jewel, right, that dirty little
- 19:00double cross. All right, all right, will you talk now, sister.
- 19:03Not much point in keeping quiet now he is there. Okay, Okay,
- 19:08you win. I'll talk, but plenty more than your bargaining course.
- 19:14What do you mean, I'll tell you a story about those jewels lit old
- 19:18floor. All right, let's have it. And remember, just because I've
- 19:21got him, that doesn't mean I killed Sammy Gates were all of rocks now
- 19:26in my bedroom under my mattress. I'll get him if you want me to.
- 19:29I'll go with you, just to make sure you come back, okay,
- 19:33Copper and no tricks, sister, No, no, what I was
- 19:38telling the truth? After on me? What about Ka Florian? Do you
- 19:44think she's lying about not killing Gates? No? No yet did order that
- 19:48bedroom? Somebody standing shirt? Because the gunshots came from the bedroom? Many
- 19:56many oh, Nick, He doesn't answer back, Betsy, I'm gonna shoot
- 20:00off the lot. Careful, Nick stuck in There should be a light switch.
- 20:07Yes here it is, hey, Maddie, Maddy, Oh, Nick,
- 20:14he isn't No, it wasn't shot He slugged the Florian woman got away
- 20:18that at the door. There must leaves the kitchen and alpha bag. Yeah,
- 20:21many Mandy. What happened? I don't know. Like they came in
- 20:26here, the room was dark, the door slam shut and and something hit
- 20:32me? What about the shots? Shots? Snake the jews. She said
- 20:36they were under the mattress. She had time to get them. Let's see
- 20:38I left the lettress. Is the empantcy you they hear, Nick, she
- 20:45didn't have a chance to mat he here im the other side of the bed,
- 20:51next to the wall. Great Scott, kay Florian and she's dead.
- 21:07In shock silence, Nick and Patsy stare at the lifeless body of Kay Florian.
- 21:12In just a moment, we'll bring you the conclusion of this adventure.
- 21:21Now for the conclusion of the case of the Graveyard Gunman. Today's adventure with
- 21:25Nick Carter brought to you by a new post war all Dutch cleanser. Although
- 21:30he has finally found the Felix s. Garth jewels, Nick is still faced
- 21:34with the task of tracking down the murderer of Sammy Gates and Kay Florian.
- 21:38We pick up our story several hours after the Florian woman's death. The door
- 21:42of Nick's office is just opening, is mister Carter and miss Bourne? Oh,
- 21:48mister Garth, Yes, Nickson his laboratory, he calls it. Tell
- 21:53me that he recovered my jewel. Oh, yes he has. If you're
- 21:57wait just a moment, I'll tell him you're here. Thank you, Miss
- 22:03Nay. Felix Goth is here. Oh good, I'll see him right away.
- 22:08Ask him to come in, will you right, mister Garth. When
- 22:12you step in here, please thank you Hello, mister Carter. Good morning,
- 22:18mister gard Well, here are your long lost jewel. Old mister Carter.
- 22:22I don't know how to thank you for this. Oh I don't need
- 22:25to. Your insurance company will do that. I believe they're all here except
- 22:29one of the larger pearls. I have it in this glass. Why what
- 22:33on earth did you put it in the glass of water? For it isn't
- 22:36water, mister Garth. It's a solution of acid. Assid yes, acid.
- 22:41You see the pearl assisted round and firm as it was when I dropped
- 22:45it in the glass two hours ago. You know what that means. Mister,
- 22:52stand right where you are, both of you. Don't move this voters
- 22:57loaded and I have noms about killing. We know that guy after what you
- 23:03did to Sammy Gates and Kay Florian. You mean me he's God, Yes,
- 23:08he's the murderer. Passy and the motives right here in my hand.
- 23:12The pearl and this glass were genuine and have been dissolved by the acid.
- 23:15But it's a pony, like all the rest of Felix Garth's jewels. It's
- 23:19very clever you to discover that content. They're the best imitations money could buy,
- 23:26but hardly worth the fifty thousands you collected from the insurance company after they
- 23:29were stolen. And Nate Benedict's to worthless jewels, he did, but he
- 23:33didn't know it. No one in the world knew it, but you did.
- 23:37They God, you killed Sammy Gates to keep him from finding out,
- 23:41and you killed kay Florian after she found out. I had no intention of
- 23:44killing either of them, but it was the only way you could keep the
- 23:45insurance company from nailing you for fraud. When Gates told you he could find
- 23:49the jewels, you got panicky, so you follow him here. When he
- 23:52caught you spying on him and swung on you, you killed him. And
- 23:56you try to do the same thing to us out in Wildwood Cemetery. You
- 23:59mean it was author took those shots that Nick, It was Patsy what he
- 24:03didn't know that kay Florian had already dug up the jewels because Nate Benedict had
- 24:07tipped her off that he was going to break jail and needed money. She
- 24:10learned they were phony when she tried to sell some of them. You've got
- 24:12all the answers, haven't you carter most of them? I even know that
- 24:17you went to kay Florian's house to pay her to keep quiet. He wouldn't
- 24:21have had to kill her if she hadn't been all set to tell us that
- 24:22the jewels were fake. Well, this is all very interesting, Carter,
- 24:26but it's beside the point. When I walk out of here, I'll still
- 24:30be the only one alive who knows the truce. A word of advice,
- 24:34Carr. When you do walk out, don't forget to take the pearl in
- 24:38this glass. Mustn't leave a scrap of Evid'll give me that pearl. Be
- 24:42glad to here. It is acid and all right, and the proof?
- 24:47Oh else, huh? Pick up his gun, Patsy, and keep it
- 24:55on him. Right. I'll call Mary and tell him to get a cell
- 24:57ready for a new te for the long term lease. But Nick, I
- 25:12still don't see whatever gave you the idea that the jewels were phony? It
- 25:15was the only thing that made sense, Patsy. I began to suspect it
- 25:19when Kay Florian said she'd tell us a story about them that with Flora's You
- 25:22remember, yes, But that didn't prove anything. Well, it helped.
- 25:27I'd already eliminated her as a suspect because she wouldn't have shut us out there
- 25:32in the graveyard. She already had the jewels, so why should she?
- 25:36Oh, I see, the person who was doing the shooting didn't note the
- 25:40jewels had already been taken out of the grave exactly, so that automatically eliminated
- 25:45Outo too. There was nobody left but Garth who had any interest in the
- 25:49jewels. He'd been paid off for them, so he wouldn't kill to recover
- 25:53them. But I realized that he might kill to keep them from being recovered
- 25:59because he wouldn't want the insurance company to know they weren't genuine. But how
- 26:03did he help the square with the insurance company even if he did get his
- 26:06hands on them. Oh, that wouldn't have been hard. God's made a
- 26:08lot of money since he collected that fifty. It was broke when he sold
- 26:12the real jewels after having them insured, but today he's rich. He figured
- 26:18it'd pay back the insurance company and keep the ponies, and no one would
- 26:22be the wiser. I get it all now, Nick, except one thing.
- 26:29Why wasn't God horribly burned when you threw that acid in his face?
- 26:33Oh that's easy. It wasn't burned because it wasn't acid. What? No,
- 26:37nothing but water, Petsy, What I didn't need acid to test that
- 26:41pearl. One good look under my microscope was enough. Other than why all
- 26:45that business about the pearl being an acid shuremanship Petsy purely Schuman. When I
- 26:51threw that water on God's face, he was so sure it was acid he
- 26:53raised his hands to his eyes and dropped his gun. Oh well, for
- 26:56Heaven's sake, from the way he all, I thought sure he'd been burned.
- 27:02I imagine he will be. But I'm satisfied to leave the burning of
- 27:06Felix Garth to the proper authorities. Well, Nick, what about next week's
- 27:19adventure, Bob? Next week's case? Hmmm, I'll get him. Hello,
- 27:26call super to eight all that is all? Hey, hey, wait
- 27:33a minute, wait a minute, Well Nick, what's the matter? There
- 27:38was a woman, Bob. All she said was call super too eight four
- 27:44eight by me. That message was on my calendar pad this morning. Look,
- 27:48Nick, this is might mysterious. All right, but what about next
- 27:52week's show? Oh yes, yes, well, Bob, that's also very
- 27:56mysterious. It's about a man who was killed in Florida, and it was
- 28:00also killed two thousand miles away. Nick. Carter Master Detective is presented each
- 28:15week at this time by the Cuddy Heat Packing Company. It is produced and
- 28:18directed by Jock McGregor and is copyrighted by Street and Smith Publications, Incorporated.
- 28:25Charlotte Manson is featured as Patsy. Matty is played by Ed Latimer. Today's
- 28:30script was written by Ken Pettis and Louis Schofield. Original music is played by
- 28:36Henry Silvern. This program is fictional and any resemblance to actual persons living or
- 28:41dead is purely coincidental. This is Bob Martin saying, when minutes count,
- 28:47use you false war all thatch cleanser. This is the mutual broadcasting system.
- 29:18Welcome back. Well. To me, the strength of Nick Carter continues to
- 29:23be stories. Some programs are really good on the characters and atmospherics, but
- 29:33for Nick Carter, it's all about the stories. And this was a very
- 29:37clever mystery. And I liked all the twists they worked in, and next
- 29:42way of catching the criminal was a lot of foresight, very clever. The
- 29:48only thing I didn't like about this was Patsy being there basically to go gick
- 29:52a ghost. But beyond that, I thought this was a pretty strong episode
- 29:59in Nick car and I hope you enjoyed it well tomorrow. We'll be back
- 30:03with yours truly, Johnny Dollar, and be sure and join us again next
- 30:07Thursday for another episode of Nick Harter. In the meantime, send your comments
