Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 1: Dems have found a new talking point to dwell on.
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Now this is the Mark Simon Show on seventoor.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Hey, I'm back and lots to talk about. We got
- 0:13Speaker 2: a lot of stuff to go over. We'll get to
- 0:16Speaker 2: all of that's freezing cold today and it's going to
- 0:19Speaker 2: stay that way for most of the week. That's is
- 0:24Speaker 2: that allergies. Cold weather allergies. It doesn't go away. So
- 0:29Speaker 2: we got a lot to talk about. We'll get to
- 0:31Speaker 2: the Kennedy Center Honors, We'll get to Ukraine. We'll get
- 0:34Speaker 2: to Narco Boats, We'll get to George Sloppadopolis. We'll get
- 0:38Speaker 2: to Mom Donnie and his latest crazy ideas. We'll get
- 0:41Speaker 2: to the pipe bomber and how they caught him. It's fascinating. Actually,
- 0:45Speaker 2: we'll get to the Jets. Interesting, what's going on with it?
- 0:51Speaker 2: This is going to be a big movement for the
- 0:53Speaker 2: rest of the season. Anyway, we'll we'll talk about all
- 0:57Speaker 2: of that and more. Be nice to your Democratic friends.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I know they're angry and yelling and screaming. I don't
- 1:04Speaker 2: know if I have time to do it today, but
- 1:05Speaker 2: we're at some point we're gonna I'm gonna explain Trump
- 1:07Speaker 2: derangement syndrome in detail. After talking to a number of
- 1:11Speaker 2: psychiatrists and psychologists who've explained exactly what it is. There
- 1:18Speaker 2: are other types of this same disease. In this case
- 1:20Speaker 2: it's Trump derangement syndrome. There are other types. And also
- 1:25Speaker 2: for the past week or two we've seen hegxith derangement
- 1:28Speaker 2: syndrome as they go nuts trying to get rid of
- 1:31Speaker 2: Pete hegsyth. Now why it's not even anything really personal.
- 1:35Speaker 2: They just want to get Trump somehow. So whenever they
- 1:38Speaker 2: see something, anything, one little branch of the tree that
- 1:42Speaker 2: looks like it's gonna break, the break off any limb
- 1:45Speaker 2: of the tree, anything, so they think Hexith is vulnerable.
- 1:49Speaker 2: He's not not. In any way. He hasn't done anything
- 1:53Speaker 2: that anybody would consider wrong in the Trump administration. Signal
- 1:57Speaker 2: gait was a complete ridiculous piece of trivia, absolute nonsense.
- 2:01Speaker 2: That's where he used that signal app for communication. It
- 2:04Speaker 2: was approved by the Pentagon. It was Pentagon policy to
- 2:07Speaker 2: use it. If you shouldn't use it, well you could
- 2:09Speaker 2: take a look at that and maybe not use it,
- 2:10Speaker 2: but that's not a scandal. If you're watching the Sunday
- 2:15Speaker 2: shows this week the opening segments, you might have said,
- 2:19Speaker 2: is this a rerun is this from months ago? They
- 2:21Speaker 2: were talking about signal gate using the signal but no, no,
- 2:25Speaker 2: they just latch onto something and they won't let it go.
- 2:28Speaker 2: You know, these Sunday shows, the idea used to be
- 2:31Speaker 2: they go over the news of the week. They didn't
- 2:33Speaker 2: do that on any of the Sunday shows this week.
- 2:35Speaker 2: If you were watching them, you missed out a review
- 2:38Speaker 2: of the news of the week. Instead, they zeroed in
- 2:40Speaker 2: on one or two things that they liked. Well, they're
- 2:44Speaker 2: basically only two get Hexif and Narco boats, and they
- 2:49Speaker 2: were going after these Narco boats, and every crazy Democrat
- 2:54Speaker 2: was on there with their crazy explanations. It might have
- 2:57Speaker 2: been We think it was maybe a fishing They could
- 2:59Speaker 2: have been fishing boats. No one's ever seen a fishing
- 3:03Speaker 2: boat with six outboards on it and super high speed
- 3:06Speaker 2: going eight hundred miles an hour at three in the morning.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Nobody's ever seen a fishing boat. I'm not an expert
- 3:13Speaker 2: on the fishing or boats, but you can tell a
- 3:16Speaker 2: Narco boat from a fishing boat. A fishing boat has
- 3:19Speaker 2: fishing equipment all over it and hanging off the sides.
- 3:23Speaker 2: You can tell the Narco boat because it's a super
- 3:26Speaker 2: high speed boat with a million outboard engines on it,
- 3:29Speaker 2: and it's got twenty five oil drums of chemicals. You
- 3:34Speaker 2: can always tell the Narco boat that way. See the
- 3:37Speaker 2: fishing boat brings bait. Bait isn't that big. You don't
- 3:40Speaker 2: need twenty five oil drums full of bait, so you
- 3:43Speaker 2: can tell. Hey, the best moment on the Sunday Shows.
- 3:47Speaker 2: The finest moment was this Senator of Missouri, Eric Schmidt Stephanopoulos,
- 3:53Speaker 2: or as we call him, Trump first named him, George
- 3:56Speaker 2: Sloppadopoulos is interviewing him. Now does what they all do?
- 4:01Speaker 2: The greatest example this week was Margaret Brennan. You know
- 4:04Speaker 2: they all do this jackal and hide. They have a
- 4:06Speaker 2: Republican on and every time the Republican answers, they pair
- 4:10Speaker 2: it to him, they a thousand follow ups, They tear
- 4:13Speaker 2: apart his answer, they yell and scream at him, they
- 4:17Speaker 2: go crazy, and then they go to commercial. Then they
- 4:20Speaker 2: come back with a Democrat and whenever the Democrat answers,
- 4:24Speaker 2: they just nod like a bobblehead. They have no follow ups,
- 4:27Speaker 2: no pushback. Whatever the answer is, uh huh, oh, thank you, Okay,
- 4:30Speaker 2: here's my next question. It's just little softba interviews. So
- 4:33Speaker 2: for the Republican, they're vicious pitbulls tearing into him. Then
- 4:37Speaker 2: when they come back from commercial to interview the Democrat,
- 4:39Speaker 2: they're cute little poodles hugging the guests. So Schmidt brought
- 4:43Speaker 2: this up. Stephanopolos is trying to destroy Schmidt. He just
- 4:48Speaker 2: had a guest on talking about the Narco boats and
- 4:51Speaker 2: whatever the guest said, Stephanopolis just nodded like a bobblehead.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Then he comes back with Eric Schmidt. Whatever Schmid said,
- 4:58Speaker 2: Stephanopolis vicious, angry tears into them. Listening to this exchange.
- 5:02Speaker 2: This is Eric Schmidt. This moment went super viral on
- 5:05Speaker 2: the Sunday Show yesterday.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Well, I'm curious about your pushback on that particular point.
- 5:08Speaker 3: With your previous guests, you had zero pushback because he's
- 5:12Speaker 3: giving the Democrat talking points like you spew every single week,
- 5:15Speaker 3: which is probably why your ratings are so bad.
- 5:19Speaker 2: He kept going, he kept tearing into Stephanopolis, and.
- 5:21Speaker 3: You're trying to divert here the attention from what the
- 5:24Speaker 3: American people actually support. Seventy five percent of Americans support
- 5:28Speaker 3: US blowing Narco terrorists out of the water in the Caribbean,
- 5:31Speaker 3: who are trying to poison Americans. There's no real legal
- 5:34Speaker 3: debate about the ability to do that. Now you could
- 5:36Speaker 3: have a policy discussion about it, which now you see
- 5:38Speaker 3: the Democrats pivoting from the second strike and the war
- 5:42Speaker 3: crimes allegation to really what this whole thing is about,
- 5:45Speaker 3: should we be doing it in the first place.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Now, you got to remember the drug lords, the big
- 5:49Speaker 2: cartel leaders, you know, Salamanca and all those and Gus
- 5:54Speaker 2: Fring and all the cartel leaders watching the Sunday shows
- 5:58Speaker 2: had tears in their eyes, so grateful at the way
- 6:02Speaker 2: these Sunday hosts were defending them in their drug boats,
- 6:05Speaker 2: sticking up for them, fighting for them.
- 6:08Speaker 3: And this is kind of the rabbit hole of Trump
- 6:09Speaker 3: arrangement syndrome, is that they can't let this thing go.
- 6:12Speaker 3: They can't believe that he won. They didn't want Hegseth
- 6:14Speaker 3: to be the Secretary of War. They fought it. He
- 6:16Speaker 3: was their number one target. They failed at that, and
- 6:18Speaker 3: so now you just have a series and series of
- 6:20Speaker 3: issues that come up every week to try to undermine
- 6:22Speaker 3: this president the secretary of War, and it's not working.
- 6:25Speaker 2: It's amazing how this Trump derangement syndrome has these Democrats
- 6:30Speaker 2: defending anything illegal. If it's illegal, they're going to defend it.
- 6:34Speaker 2: If it's narco terrorists and drug shipments, Fell defended, it's
- 6:38Speaker 2: illegals all over the city streets. Fell defended whatever it is.
- 6:42Speaker 2: If it's anti Trump, they'll defend it even if it's illegal,
- 6:47Speaker 2: standing up fighting for every criminal in the world. Hey,
- 6:50Speaker 2: now that one of the fascinating things this past week
- 6:52Speaker 2: was they caught the pipe bomber January sixth. Everybody was
- 6:56Speaker 2: focused on the trespassing incident at the Capitol and not
- 7:00Speaker 2: on the pipe bombs. Somebody put bombs at the RNC
- 7:04Speaker 2: and at the DNC. This is pretty serious stuff. They
- 7:09Speaker 2: caught it and they got the bombs and got rid
- 7:11Speaker 2: of them. But that could have been a disastrous that.
- 7:14Speaker 2: You know, all you heard about was January sixth, was
- 7:16Speaker 2: the trespassers, the people that unlawful entry. They were all
- 7:21Speaker 2: charged with unlawful entry, trespassing, that sort of stuff. This
- 7:24Speaker 2: is all you heard about. You never really heard any
- 7:27Speaker 2: follow up on the pipe bombs. And the reason was
- 7:31Speaker 2: Christopher Ray, who was the worst FBI director, a real
- 7:35Speaker 2: swamp creature and the deep state. The swamp was only
- 7:38Speaker 2: interested in getting Trump. They felt that the trespassing at
- 7:42Speaker 2: the capitol, the chaos at the Capitol, would get Trump,
- 7:45Speaker 2: so they focused on that. They investigated like crazy, they
- 7:50Speaker 2: prosecuted like crazy. They got like seven hundred and sixty
- 7:53Speaker 2: of those trespassers. They went after that. The pipe bomb
- 7:57Speaker 2: they decided was of no value to them as their
- 8:00Speaker 2: narrative because the pipe bomber tried to blow up the
- 8:03Speaker 2: DNC and the RNC. It didn't look like he had
- 8:06Speaker 2: any political leaning, so it was of no value to
- 8:10Speaker 2: Chris Ray, the FBI, the deep state, the swamp, the
- 8:13Speaker 2: Biden administration. They they weren't interested in the pipe bomber.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Finding him not in any interest, so they let it go.
- 8:20Speaker 2: They had a lot of evidence, but they didn't really
- 8:23Speaker 2: do anything with it. Well, a few weeks ago, actually
- 8:26Speaker 2: a couple months ago, Trump administration decided to really go
- 8:29Speaker 2: after this and do the investigation and find this guy.
- 8:34Speaker 2: And they did. They took all the existing evidence and
- 8:38Speaker 2: then they used AI. Christopher Ray could have done this,
- 8:42Speaker 2: And this is it's fascinating stuff what they can do
- 8:44Speaker 2: with AI. You ever watched that CSI. But the laboratory
- 8:49Speaker 2: stuff they can do, the scientifics to catch a criminals
- 8:52Speaker 2: frightening and you're a criminal, you gotta go whoa this is?
- 8:55Speaker 2: I mean, they are really thorough, but this is way
- 8:58Speaker 2: beyond it. This is AI. So one of the things
- 9:01Speaker 2: they used the AI for they figured out what it
- 9:04Speaker 2: takes to make a pipe bomb. There's about seventeen things
- 9:07Speaker 2: you'd have to buy to make a pipe bomb. You'd
- 9:11Speaker 2: have to buy a certain type of pipe, certain types
- 9:14Speaker 2: of chemicals also, So they listed the seventeen things and
- 9:19Speaker 2: then they looked through the sales receipts of every store, everywhere,
- 9:24Speaker 2: home depot lows, every hardware thing. They looked through all
- 9:27Speaker 2: the sales receipts. Now, only AI could do this. For
- 9:30Speaker 2: humans to do this, you'd need a team of like
- 9:32Speaker 2: ten thousand people and it would take them year's But
- 9:35Speaker 2: the AI can look through the sale of everything in
- 9:37Speaker 2: the America and figure out did any one person buy
- 9:42Speaker 2: all seventeen of these things? And they got a name
- 9:46Speaker 2: somebody that bought all seventeen. Then they could take the
- 9:49Speaker 2: two locations where the pipe bombs were. You know, your
- 9:53Speaker 2: phone has a GPS in it, they can track where
- 9:55Speaker 2: you are. So and only AI could do this. For
- 9:58Speaker 2: humans to do it would take twenty years and a
- 10:00Speaker 2: thousand people. The AI could look through all the phone
- 10:04Speaker 2: records of all the cell phones and see if anybody
- 10:07Speaker 2: was in both those locations on that day. And they did,
- 10:11Speaker 2: and they got it down to one guy. They figured
- 10:13Speaker 2: out it was the guy. And then they went to
- 10:15Speaker 2: you know, they had the security video, they looked, they
- 10:18Speaker 2: found the guy on it. They've got him. He's been arrested,
- 10:22Speaker 2: he will be prosecuted. It's going to be a hell
- 10:25Speaker 2: of a trial. Christopher Ray could have done this, Biden
- 10:28Speaker 2: could have done this. They decided deliberately not to. But
- 10:32Speaker 2: they got the guy. And it's a great, great, great
- 10:36Speaker 2: accomplishment for Jeanine Piro, for the FBI. Now here's the
- 10:41Speaker 2: only problem for you said, well, Jee, I didn't hear
- 10:43Speaker 2: a loud about this. How am they're not talking about this? Well,
- 10:46Speaker 2: here's the reason they've looked through this guy is everything,
- 10:48Speaker 2: his emails, his social media, everything. There is no indication
- 10:54Speaker 2: anywhere that he was a Trump voter. In fact, it
- 10:59Speaker 2: appears he did not register with either party. He did
- 11:01Speaker 2: not vote. It seems he has nothing to do with Trump,
- 11:04Speaker 2: no connection. He's more of just an angry anarchist, sort
- 11:08Speaker 2: of a guy, So there's nothing to tie him to
- 11:11Speaker 2: a MAGA or Trump. So that's the other reason you
- 11:14Speaker 2: didn't hear anything about it this week. He's facing thirty
- 11:18Speaker 2: years in prison if convicted. It's most likely he will
- 11:21Speaker 2: be convicted. The evidence is overwhelming. So that should be it.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Kennedy Center Honors last night. It's a great thing in
- 11:30Speaker 2: Washington because here in New York, we got a million gallows.
- 11:34Speaker 2: We got all sorts of gallows every night of the week,
- 11:38Speaker 2: we got all sorts of awards, we got every there's
- 11:40Speaker 2: a million things in here Washington, DC. They don't have
- 11:44Speaker 2: a lot. There's really not much. There's the Kennedy Center Honors.
- 11:48Speaker 2: That's like the one big Galla of the year. There's
- 11:50Speaker 2: what they call the Alfalfa Dinner. That's a big event
- 11:53Speaker 2: down there. There's that White House Corresponds dinner. But that's
- 11:57Speaker 2: about it. Very rarely today have any excuse down there
- 12:01Speaker 2: to get dressed up and go to a big gallous.
- 12:04Speaker 2: It's the biggest event in Washington all year. I used
- 12:06Speaker 2: to go to it every year, but stopped about ten
- 12:09Speaker 2: years ago. But it was always a great event. And
- 12:12Speaker 2: when you go there, the Kennedy said, the whole audience.
- 12:16Speaker 2: The entire audience are famous political people, all the Senators,
- 12:19Speaker 2: all the congressmen, all the cabinet, everybody. And it's always
- 12:24Speaker 2: four or five great honorees. A couple of are really
- 12:25Speaker 2: big stars, a couple of people that aren't such big
- 12:29Speaker 2: stars to most people. You know, a classical musician, a ballet,
- 12:32Speaker 2: you know that kind of stuff. But Trump has taken
- 12:35Speaker 2: over the Kennedy Center, put all his people on the board.
- 12:38Speaker 2: It used to be kind of left wing, but then
- 12:41Speaker 2: it got more and more and more and more to
- 12:43Speaker 2: the left. It was really partisan. Now it's not. So
- 12:47Speaker 2: you get real American heroes. You know, Sylvester Stallone, And
- 12:52Speaker 2: in the old days of Kennedy center'd be Laurence Olivier.
- 12:54Speaker 2: Now it's Sylvester Stallone. But that's good. And Trump, remember
- 12:58Speaker 2: loves Sylvester Stallone. They did a lot of stuff through
- 13:00Speaker 2: the years together, TV and other stuff. And the President
- 13:05Speaker 2: has a big ceremony in the Oval Office giving the
- 13:08Speaker 2: special medals, and then they go to the Kenny Center
- 13:11Speaker 2: and they do the big dinner. Here's President Trump and
- 13:12Speaker 2: it was Rambo.
- 13:13Speaker 4: I knew nothing about it, but I like sly, so
- 13:16Speaker 4: I said, let's go see it. After about four minutes,
- 13:18Speaker 4: they said, this movie is great.
- 13:20Speaker 2: Yeah. So hey. Also remember Trump became a big hit
- 13:24Speaker 2: with The Apprentice. It was the number one show in television,
- 13:27Speaker 2: so big that they decided to do spinoffs. Remember the
- 13:29Speaker 2: first spinoff of The Apprentice, Sylvester Stallone was the host. Yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 2: it didn't do well. There were fourteen Apprentice copies and
- 13:37Speaker 2: none of them did well. Only Trump's Michael Crawford phanom
- 13:41Speaker 2: of the Opera. Donald Trump loves fan of the Opera.
- 13:44Speaker 2: You wouldn't think that, would you. You wouldn't think that'd
- 13:46Speaker 2: be his kind of ship. But he loves it, loves
- 13:47Speaker 2: the music, loves Michael Crawford. He got the Kennedy Center Award.
- 13:51Speaker 4: Well, I don't think they're ever going to find anybody
- 13:53Speaker 4: like you, Michael, Okay, I know something about that business.
- 13:55Speaker 4: I don't think they'll find anybody like you.
- 13:58Speaker 2: He was brilliant in the Phantom of the Opera. He
- 14:02Speaker 2: was amazing in Phantom of the Opera. However, that's twenty
- 14:06Speaker 2: eight years ago and he hasn't done much since. I
- 14:07Speaker 2: guess he has, But you know, that's what he's best
- 14:10Speaker 2: known for. I mean, musically, he's not I remember he's
- 14:14Speaker 2: in Las Vegas for a while, one of those residencies.
- 14:17Speaker 2: But it's great to see him get it and big
- 14:21Speaker 2: happy crowd except for the left. Now, what they do
- 14:25Speaker 2: They do the Kennedy Centers on a Sunday night and
- 14:27Speaker 2: then they record it. It's a three or four hour
- 14:30Speaker 2: deal and then they chop it down to two hours
- 14:32Speaker 2: for a television special on CBS. That's been the routine
- 14:36Speaker 2: for many, many years. So it was last night they
- 14:38Speaker 2: recorded it. It will be seen December thirteenth on CBS,
- 14:42Speaker 2: the edited version. Now, this will be interesting. It gets
- 14:46Speaker 2: pretty good ratings. But of course the left wingers will
- 14:49Speaker 2: not watch it. They'll go crazy. But we'll see, we'll
- 14:51Speaker 2: see how well it does this year. Hey, we'll get
- 14:54Speaker 2: to mom. Donnie coming up. He's made the decision. He
- 14:59Speaker 2: will give up his rent controlled department. He will move
- 15:01Speaker 2: into Gracy Mansion. Now, one of the reasons is security
- 15:04Speaker 2: told him that it's really impossible for him to continue
- 15:07Speaker 2: to live in an apartment building in Astoria. There's a
- 15:11Speaker 2: lot of security around him, mayor, and they just it
- 15:13Speaker 2: would be totally disruptive to the apartment building. You know,
- 15:17Speaker 2: when you're the mayor, the governor Generally, you come into
- 15:20Speaker 2: a building, they shut off the elevator. You know, no
- 15:23Speaker 2: one else is allowed in the elevator, he except you
- 15:25Speaker 2: and the security. So you can't do that in an
- 15:28Speaker 2: apartment building. Also, they'd have to check everybody coming in
- 15:32Speaker 2: and out all the time. You can't do it. So
- 15:34Speaker 2: he'll move into Gracey Mansion. Pretty good socialist. They're living
- 15:39Speaker 2: in a mansion, Gracy Mansion right on the water. We'll
- 15:42Speaker 2: get into this more detail later. He's got this plan
- 15:45Speaker 2: now to stop the sweeps of homeless people, the encampments.
- 15:50Speaker 2: Of course, this is a disaster. Eric Adams has been
- 15:53Speaker 2: doing a good job. You know, you may not have noted,
- 15:55Speaker 2: maybe you did notice you see very few homeless people
- 15:58Speaker 2: and you don't see any homeless camps anywhere. If he's
- 16:00Speaker 2: stating he's no longer going to implement a smart policy
- 16:05Speaker 2: on our part, New Yorkers about to see the repercussions
- 16:08Speaker 2: of that. Yeah, so well, well we'll get into this
- 16:11Speaker 2: and don't ma'm Donnie's ridiculous explanation, why I seem to
- 16:15Speaker 2: do Hey, by the way, you know, you keep everybody's
- 16:17Speaker 2: leaving New York. That's it. Everybody's leaving everybody's people are
- 16:21Speaker 2: not leaving here. Actual statistics since the election. Real estate
- 16:27Speaker 2: sales have been booming since Mam Donnie got elected. Since
- 16:31Speaker 2: his election, eight hundred and sixty nine contracts have been
- 16:34Speaker 2: signed in New York City. That's a little down, it's
- 16:38Speaker 2: like down half a one percent, but it's pretty close
- 16:40Speaker 2: to last year. Eight hundred and sixty nine contracts have
- 16:43Speaker 2: been signed. Condo sales have been very strong since the election.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Luxury deals very strong. Forty one contracts signed just last week.
- 16:52Speaker 2: That's a lot. And you get on these big real
- 16:56Speaker 2: estate guys, the big, big, big geniuses of real estate
- 17:00Speaker 2: and banking. They know better, they see the future. JP Morgan,
- 17:04Speaker 2: you know, just open this massive, massive new headquarters on
- 17:09Speaker 2: Park Avenue. Ten thousand people can work in that building.
- 17:13Speaker 2: So you think, well, that show's confidence. You know what
- 17:14Speaker 2: shows even more confidence. Now I'm hearing JP Morgan's going
- 17:18Speaker 2: to do a second building a block or two a way.
- 17:20Speaker 2: They need a whole other building, another massive skyscraper they're
- 17:23Speaker 2: going to do. And there's more examples of this. So
- 17:26Speaker 2: these guys think New York will be fine. Anyway. We'll
- 17:28Speaker 2: get back to Mom Donnie, We'll get to all of
- 17:30Speaker 2: that coming up. We'll take some calls. Next eight hundred
- 17:33Speaker 2: three to two one zero seven ten is the number
- 17:36Speaker 2: eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 17:40Speaker 1: If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio app, save
- 17:43Speaker 1: time and tap the preset button.
- 17:45Speaker 5: Now.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Now back to the Mark Simon Show on woor.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Hey, let's take some calls. Let's go to Kim in Connecticut. Kim,
- 17:55Speaker 2: how you doing good?
- 17:57Speaker 6: Thanks? I've been listening with years about the recent homeless
- 18:03Speaker 6: situation in New York. What Mandannie's doing there. I just
- 18:07Speaker 6: wanted to say that this is spreading like a cancer.
- 18:10Speaker 6: It is in Connecticut now among the socialist Democrats. Connecticut
- 18:18Speaker 6: is totally run by the Democratic Party. You have two
- 18:21Speaker 6: Democratic senators.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Well, you got the two worst senators, two really really
- 18:26Speaker 2: ugly bad senators, the really worst. Now your governor's not
- 18:31Speaker 2: so bad. Your governor has moments of very very bad behavior.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Maybe because Ned Lamont, the governor, was a business guy
- 18:40Speaker 2: for many, many years, so he goes pretty left woke sometimes,
- 18:44Speaker 2: but sometimes he goes very very common sense. But you've
- 18:48Speaker 2: got Blumenthal and Chris Murphy, the two of the sleaziest,
- 18:52Speaker 2: dirtiest public servants ever lying how many times these guys.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Guy's been caught lying about anything and everything. Go to
- 19:00Speaker 2: Mike in Florida. Mike, how you doing, Good morning, Mark, Yes, Mike.
- 19:05Speaker 7: Before I make my point about the Democrats, can you
- 19:07Speaker 7: believe it's been forty five years since John Lennon was killed?
- 19:11Speaker 2: Wow? Forty years.
- 19:12Speaker 7: Unbelievable. Forty five years. It's like mind boggling, isn't it.
- 19:17Speaker 2: Yeah, right in front of the Dakota seventy second and
- 19:21Speaker 2: Central Park West.
- 19:22Speaker 7: Yeah, unbelievable. It's like surreal. Actually they think it's been
- 19:28Speaker 7: that long. Yeah, But you were mentioning about the Democrats
- 19:32Speaker 7: they have.
- 19:32Speaker 2: They're so clever.
- 19:33Speaker 7: You know, they have this quiver of issues that they
- 19:35Speaker 7: like to put an arrow out, take an arrow out,
- 19:38Speaker 7: and put it back in. You know, Epstein being one
- 19:40Speaker 7: of them that you know, the the narco stuff that
- 19:44Speaker 7: will disappear for a couple of weeks and then they'll
- 19:46Speaker 7: bring it back. Then they'll bring out you know Maxine Nicely,
- 19:49Speaker 7: Maxine Waters, you know, made her appearance. So they're starting
- 19:53Speaker 7: to bring out the big guns to start, you know,
- 19:56Speaker 7: hammering away. They're very clever at there.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Yeah, you can't make the case that they're that clever
- 20:00Speaker 2: because none of these things ever go anywhere. I mean,
- 20:02Speaker 2: it gives them something to do at MSNBC, but they
- 20:05Speaker 2: never amount anything. The Epstein thing went nowhere. The narco
- 20:08Speaker 2: boats will go nowhere for them. None of them work
- 20:10Speaker 2: in the end.
- 20:11Speaker 7: Well, I just hope it doesn't have a cumulative effect,
- 20:14Speaker 7: you know, on the mooters. It's not us, but too
- 20:17Speaker 7: many other people seem to be able to.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I know what you mean, but it's more
- 20:22Speaker 2: just red meat for the Trump Arrangement syndrome crowd. You
- 20:24Speaker 2: gotta throw them something every day. You know. They got
- 20:27Speaker 2: a signal gate. That was a big one for a
- 20:29Speaker 2: week or two. Signal gate, the using the signal. They
- 20:32Speaker 2: were all fired up about that. It was all over
- 20:34Speaker 2: CNN and MSNB. The normal people in the public, What
- 20:37Speaker 2: the hell is signal gate? They're paying no attention to it.
- 20:40Speaker 2: Same thing with the narco boats. They like seeing drug
- 20:42Speaker 2: dealers blown up. They enjoy that. They think that's good
- 20:45Speaker 2: for America, getting rid of all the fentanyl and cocaine
- 20:48Speaker 2: and all. They like that. So it ends up going
- 20:50Speaker 2: nowhere in the end. You know, the Epstein thing again,
- 20:56Speaker 2: it just doesn't register. Most people don't care. Hey, By
- 20:58Speaker 2: the way, I've talked to everybody that's read the Epstein
- 21:01Speaker 2: files in detail. I mean, these are prosecutors in the
- 21:05Speaker 2: US Attorney's office, These are FBI guys. Alan Dershowitz who
- 21:10Speaker 2: was there, he was Epstein's lawyer, and they all say
- 21:13Speaker 2: the same thing. They all seem to agree on one thing.
- 21:15Speaker 2: There is nothing in these Epstein files that would surprise anybody.
- 21:21Speaker 2: In fact, there are no names in their Every name
- 21:23Speaker 2: you think it is going to be in every name
- 21:25Speaker 2: has already been public. There's a couple of names that aren't,
- 21:28Speaker 2: but they're like unknown business people. But all the names
- 21:31Speaker 2: have already been made public. There's nothing in there. And
- 21:35Speaker 2: when they say the Epstein files, it's mostly from the
- 21:38Speaker 2: US Attorney's office here in Manhattan, the Southern District. And
- 21:43Speaker 2: if you talk to people that have seen that file,
- 21:45Speaker 2: what it is. It's just witness interviews. That's ninety eight
- 21:48Speaker 2: percent of the file is just witness interviews and there's
- 21:51Speaker 2: not much in there. Let's go to Paul in Whitestone. Paul,
- 21:54Speaker 2: how you doing.
- 21:56Speaker 8: Yeah, Mark, how are you doing good? You can't make
- 21:58Speaker 8: this up?
- 21:59Speaker 2: Contop nothing against you personally. Everybody has got to stop
- 22:04Speaker 2: using that expression. You can't make this stuff up. You
- 22:07Speaker 2: can make it up. It's offensive to the great writers
- 22:10Speaker 2: and novelists and screenwriters. You can very easily make this
- 22:14Speaker 2: kind of stuff up. In fact, there are guys that
- 22:16Speaker 2: do that all day long for a living. So nothing
- 22:18Speaker 2: against you, though, Go ahead, all right.
- 22:21Speaker 8: A communist who wants to abolish prisons and police is
- 22:25Speaker 8: going to live in a mansion for quote, his family safety.
- 22:29Speaker 8: I don't want to hear it. If the police advise this,
- 22:31Speaker 8: he should stand for his principles and say no, I'm
- 22:35Speaker 8: going to stay in the story. I'm going to not
- 22:37Speaker 8: have police protection. But he's not going to do that
- 22:40Speaker 8: because he's like every other communist leader, and the young,
- 22:43Speaker 8: selfish idiots who voted for him because they want free
- 22:46Speaker 8: stuff are about to learn a harsh lesson.
- 22:49Speaker 2: Yeah, well it happens. Who is it that said great
- 22:52Speaker 2: Commas said, we have to go through this every twenty years.
- 22:56Speaker 2: We have to let him do their socialism experiment. Let
- 22:58Speaker 2: it fail so the new generals can see how bad
- 23:01Speaker 2: it is. But again, nobody out there ever say again,
- 23:05Speaker 2: you can't make this stuff up. I remember sitting with
- 23:08Speaker 2: I A'll mentioned names a couple of great screenwriters, and
- 23:10Speaker 2: someone said you can't make this up, and they got
- 23:12Speaker 2: very offended. They said, you can. That's what we do
- 23:15Speaker 2: for a living. We can make up stuff even more
- 23:18Speaker 2: far fetched than this. It's easy to do. Hey, when
- 23:21Speaker 2: we come back. Michael Goodwin has been out of action
- 23:24Speaker 2: for a couple of weeks, but Liz Peak the Brilliant
- 23:26Speaker 2: Columnists will be with us next on seven to ten wor.
- 23:31Speaker 1: More, Mark Simone on sevent ten wor well.
- 23:36Speaker 2: Liz Peak the Brilliant Columnist, And it's got this wonderful website.
- 23:41Speaker 2: You should check it every day. Sign up for the
- 23:44Speaker 2: daily briefings. It's great news and analysis. Lizpeak dot com.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Lizpeak dot com, make sure you sign up for the
- 23:52Speaker 2: daily briefing every day. Good stuff, Liz Peak. How you doing, I'm.
- 23:57Speaker 5: Terrific better for speaking with you.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Hey, hear that the big drug lords, the cartel bosses,
- 24:03Speaker 2: had tears in their eyes yesterday watching these Sunday shows,
- 24:06Speaker 2: so grateful to the host for sticking up for them,
- 24:09Speaker 2: defending them in their narco boats. How much longer do
- 24:13Speaker 2: we have to listen to this from the Democrats?
- 24:16Speaker 9: I mean, Mark, don't you really begin to sort of
- 24:18Speaker 9: think what are the Democrats doing? What do they stand
- 24:22Speaker 9: for as the public looks at the Democratic Party? Now,
- 24:26Speaker 9: they stand for illegal immigration, they stand for effectively embracing recidivism,
- 24:32Speaker 9: not putting anyone in jail, and all these god awful
- 24:35Speaker 9: stories week after week, just like the light train stabbing,
- 24:39Speaker 9: the second one again as someone who's been convicted of
- 24:43Speaker 9: many times an illegal immigrant, I mean, what are the
- 24:47Speaker 9: they embrace fraud? They're opposed twenty six states won't let
- 24:52Speaker 9: the federal government look at their SNAP programs and their
- 24:55Speaker 9: medicaid programs. Why, I mean, fraud is a serious hundreds
- 25:01Speaker 9: of billions of dollars every year and that is, by
- 25:04Speaker 9: the way, coming a statistic coming from Joe Biden's administration
- 25:08Speaker 9: are lost to waste and fraud by our federal welfare programs.
- 25:12Speaker 9: What is it that the Democrats are offering people that
- 25:16Speaker 9: they can possibly like? And as you say, the final
- 25:19Speaker 9: thing standing up for narco traffickers, that is really a
- 25:23Speaker 9: winning argument.
- 25:25Speaker 2: My god?
- 25:26Speaker 5: What is wrong with these people?
- 25:28Speaker 2: So whenever it comes to Democrats and homeless programs, money
- 25:32Speaker 2: seems to have vanished. You remember we had the Deblasi
- 25:34Speaker 2: administration with that thrive in dollars billion missing now in
- 25:39Speaker 2: this Somali, Minnesota, Tim Waltz, whatever this is, they're talking
- 25:44Speaker 2: about maybe up to eight billion missing. Mom Donnie is
- 25:47Speaker 2: now talking about a homeless program. Does that mean another
- 25:50Speaker 2: billion is going to get lost somewhere?
- 25:52Speaker 5: Sure?
- 25:53Speaker 9: Sure, because among other things, none of these people has
- 25:57Speaker 9: real world private sector or experience. So, you know, I
- 26:02Speaker 9: think it was Jamie Dimond yesterday on Maria's Maria Bartiromo
- 26:07Speaker 9: show talking about the city is three hundred thousand people
- 26:10Speaker 9: and basically, successful mayors are people who can manage. Well,
- 26:14Speaker 9: do you think this guy has any management capabilities at all?
- 26:18Speaker 5: Of course he doesn't.
- 26:19Speaker 9: He hasn't read, he hasn't run a business, He hasn't
- 26:22Speaker 9: run any Most Democrats, by the way, have never run
- 26:26Speaker 9: a business. Which is a very interesting differential in my view,
- 26:30Speaker 9: between Republicans and Democrats. When Democrats get fired, they get
- 26:34Speaker 9: voted out of a job, what do they do? They
- 26:36Speaker 9: run for another office because they don't know how to
- 26:38Speaker 9: run a restaurant or build a house or anything.
- 26:41Speaker 5: Practical.
- 26:42Speaker 9: Republicans can go back to farming or running a car
- 26:44Speaker 9: dealership or you know name it. I mean, actually, if
- 26:47Speaker 9: you look at seriously, what you know Congress people and
- 26:51Speaker 9: mayors and stuff do after retirement. They either go to
- 26:54Speaker 9: work for MSNBC if they're Democrats, or they go to
- 26:58Speaker 9: Harvard to teach, like build a Blasio or Lori Lightfoot,
- 27:02Speaker 9: or they run for another office. Look at Andrew Como.
- 27:05Speaker 9: He couldn't think of anything else to do, so we
- 27:06Speaker 9: ran for mayor of New York. That didn't turn out well,
- 27:09Speaker 9: So what's he going to do. He's probably going to find,
- 27:11Speaker 9: you know, mayor of Buffalo or something next to run for.
- 27:14Speaker 5: It's really pitiful.
- 27:16Speaker 9: But anyway, Mandani taking on a lot of money to
- 27:20Speaker 9: spew at the homeless. You know, his latest thing on
- 27:23Speaker 9: homelessness is he's no longer going to enforce the eradication
- 27:28Speaker 9: or the cleaning out of the homeless encampments.
- 27:30Speaker 5: Who does that benefit Mark? Who is really applauding that move?
- 27:35Speaker 9: It certainly isn't the residents of the neighborhoods where these
- 27:37Speaker 9: homeless encampments spring up, Because their lives are going to
- 27:41Speaker 9: be made a mess by the fact that you're going
- 27:44Speaker 9: to have this sprawl of dirty, sometimes violent homeless in
- 27:50Speaker 9: community that kind of erupts in their midst It isn't
- 27:54Speaker 9: good for the homeless some seventy percent of whom are
- 27:57Speaker 9: drug users or alcoholics.
- 28:00Speaker 5: Because they aren't going to get any treatment.
- 28:02Speaker 9: They prefer to live on the street because they can
- 28:05Speaker 9: continue to abuse drugs and alcohol. It isn't good for them.
- 28:09Speaker 9: Who is it good for? I mean, I really ask
- 28:11Speaker 9: that at all sincerity. Who does he think he's benefiting there?
- 28:15Speaker 2: Yeah? You know, here in the radio business, we want
- 28:18Speaker 2: to do something. Sometimes we see what happened in other
- 28:20Speaker 2: stations did it and they come in with the report
- 28:22Speaker 2: forty seven stations did it and the ratings plunged all
- 28:25Speaker 2: forty seven times, So we know not to do it now.
- 28:28Speaker 2: In the case of Mamdani, and he's a very smart
- 28:30Speaker 2: guy when they show him thirteen other cities did it
- 28:33Speaker 2: and with disaster, why can he take in that information
- 28:37Speaker 2: and calculate all this.
- 28:39Speaker 9: Well, it's the same thing with rent control, right. Rent
- 28:43Speaker 9: control has never ever worked anywhere, and so nonetheless he
- 28:48Speaker 9: is very in favor of capping rent increases on subsidized housing,
- 28:52Speaker 9: even though it has been proven time after time that
- 28:56Speaker 9: what you do is disincentivize landlords from any money, any
- 29:01Speaker 9: investment into the housing stock, so basically you end up
- 29:04Speaker 9: with worse off less affordable and crumbling housing. So to
- 29:10Speaker 9: your point, why doesn't he learn from that? Why don't
- 29:13Speaker 9: the young people out protesting in favor of socialism learn
- 29:17Speaker 9: from the fact that, never error has socialism resulted in
- 29:22Speaker 9: anything but increase poverty and, by the way, increase wealth disparities.
- 29:27Speaker 5: I mean, look at Venezuela, a very good example.
- 29:30Speaker 9: So the answer to your question is because ideologues like
- 29:34Speaker 9: Mom Donnie don't really ever look at facts. They don't
- 29:38Speaker 9: look at common sense answers. They are wedded to an
- 29:43Speaker 9: ideological approach, whether it's climate change or just social justice
- 29:48Speaker 9: or whatever that basically is a failure. But then you know,
- 29:52Speaker 9: nobody's around to kind of blame them for the failure usually,
- 29:56Speaker 9: so they just kind of go on and do what
- 29:58Speaker 9: they want. But it's a fact free zone that Mom
- 30:02Speaker 9: Donnie is living in.
- 30:03Speaker 5: It's true.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Is it just childish? That's like a you know, a
- 30:07Speaker 2: childish teenager. Is it something sounds good? They do it.
- 30:10Speaker 2: They don't think of the consequences.
- 30:11Speaker 9: So yeah, yes, because because just what you said, there's
- 30:15Speaker 9: no consequences. What are the consequences if he blows a
- 30:19Speaker 9: billion dollars over the next four years on homelessness?
- 30:23Speaker 5: Look at Gavin Newsom.
- 30:24Speaker 9: How much money has Gavin Newsom spent on homeless projects
- 30:29Speaker 9: in California only to see the money disappear, the homeless
- 30:33Speaker 9: population continue to grow, et cetera.
- 30:36Speaker 5: Does any It's incredible to me.
- 30:39Speaker 9: How is it the voters don't say, well, wait a minute,
- 30:41Speaker 9: didn't you just ask for five billion dollars for that?
- 30:44Speaker 9: Where did that money go? Show us the money? Show us,
- 30:48Speaker 9: you know, let's have accountability. There is never accountability. It
- 30:52Speaker 9: is mystifying.
- 30:53Speaker 2: So is the real problem that we don't have legitimate
- 30:56Speaker 2: news organizations anymore. If we had real news and media,
- 30:59Speaker 2: there would become sequences. Newsom would be a town day
- 31:01Speaker 2: and night. So how do you run a democracy with
- 31:04Speaker 2: corrupt news?
- 31:05Speaker 5: I think that's part of it.
- 31:07Speaker 9: I actually think what sort of tragic is we have
- 31:09Speaker 9: people who listen to one side or another kind of
- 31:12Speaker 9: depending on their politics. They listen to Fox News, they
- 31:15Speaker 9: listen to you, or they listen to CNN and ms
- 31:20Speaker 9: now or whatever it's called, and people get very little
- 31:23Speaker 9: cross fertilization.
- 31:24Speaker 5: I think that's fair.
- 31:25Speaker 9: Very I read, and I'm sure you read publications on
- 31:29Speaker 9: the other side. A lot of people simply don't they
- 31:31Speaker 9: don't want to know, They don't want to hear, and
- 31:34Speaker 9: you know what, that's not good for our country. I
- 31:37Speaker 9: hope at some point there really are news organizations that
- 31:40Speaker 9: will cover, you know, stories from both sides. I was
- 31:45Speaker 9: listening to was it Margaret Brennan who interviewed Elan Omar yesterday?
- 31:51Speaker 5: You know, and you just want to kind of put
- 31:52Speaker 5: your head through the wall.
- 31:53Speaker 9: It's like, really, you're not going to challenge her on
- 31:56Speaker 9: the fact that the Somalis have been perpetuating these frauds.
- 32:00Speaker 5: But by the way, it's not that big a community.
- 32:02Speaker 9: If there were hundreds of people, which probably there were
- 32:05Speaker 9: involved in scamming of the three different programs, they acted
- 32:11Speaker 9: like it was just one three different programs that they
- 32:13Speaker 9: took billions of dollars from. Don't you think an awful
- 32:16Speaker 9: lot of Somalis knew what was going on?
- 32:18Speaker 5: I do.
- 32:19Speaker 9: And and for her to just sort of accept that, oh, yeah,
- 32:23Speaker 9: Somali's really are the victims here, I don't know, it's
- 32:26Speaker 9: pretty discouraging.
- 32:28Speaker 2: She was funny yesterday. Whatever idiotic explanation Omar gave, she
- 32:32Speaker 2: just nodded like a bubble head.
- 32:34Speaker 5: Yeah, just nodded, right.
- 32:35Speaker 9: I mean, it's like, But the best media breakout yesterday
- 32:41Speaker 9: was Leslie Stall deciding that Marjorie Taylor Green was the
- 32:45Speaker 9: person she needed to interview for sixty minutes. So Marjorie
- 32:49Speaker 9: Taylor Green, someone who has been totally widely chastised, debunked,
- 32:55Speaker 9: criticized on the left, loads on the left as being
- 32:59Speaker 9: a conspiration theorists and all the rest. Now she's acceptable
- 33:03Speaker 9: because she's gonna blast Donald Trump. I mean, really, isn't
- 33:06Speaker 9: that just incredible?
- 33:08Speaker 2: Yeah? Pretty pretty transparent though, Oh my gosh, well, great stuff. Hey,
- 33:12Speaker 2: everybody should go to lizpeak dot com P E e K.
