- 0:02Speaker 1: On Sky Leaves Australia. This is the Wider Penalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Patty Show. Coming
- 0:11Speaker 2: up tonight. A rough weekend for the Australian left, with
- 0:15Speaker 2: the Greens and Labor suffering significant swings against them in
- 0:18Speaker 2: Victorian by elections.
- 0:20Speaker 3: Gary Hardgrave will break down the results.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Shortly, UFC boss Dana White unloads on the Australian media.
- 0:27Speaker 3: We'll tell you why the outburst was entirely justified.
- 0:31Speaker 2: President Donald Trump, who poses tariffs on Australian steel as
- 0:35Speaker 2: his popularity source to new highs in the US press
- 0:39Speaker 2: in Pimer.
- 0:40Speaker 3: We'll begin to.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Discuss that, and we'll look at the off field highlights
- 0:44Speaker 2: and low lights off today's Super Bowl with President Trump
- 0:48Speaker 2: cheered loudly while superstar Taylor Swift hopped loud booze and
- 0:53Speaker 2: we never neglect left is losing it.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Tonight starring Hollywood has.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Been Richard Gere, who is shopped by democracy and i'men Shark.
- 1:03Speaker 4: My Wayfer's in Shark. We roll in Shark. Who the
- 1:05Speaker 4: people spoke and they elected this president.
- 1:09Speaker 2: Well, let's start with the two by elections in Victoria
- 1:12Speaker 2: over the weekend. The Greens suffered a devastating defeat in
- 1:15Speaker 2: the seat of Paran, losing the seat to the Liberals
- 1:18Speaker 2: on a margin of just over two percent. Conservative lobby
- 1:21Speaker 2: group Advance has claimed some credit for the greens defeat
- 1:24Speaker 2: after their campaign highlight of the fact that the Greens
- 1:27Speaker 2: are no longer just a pro environment party or no,
- 1:31Speaker 2: they're a far left radical outfit. Meanwhile, Labor hemorrhage votes
- 1:36Speaker 2: to the Liberal Party in the seat of Werribee, suffering
- 1:39Speaker 2: a swing of just over ten percent. Labour's primary vote
- 1:43Speaker 2: now is twenty eight percent in that heartland seat, but
- 1:47Speaker 2: we're told we will not know for sure who.
- 1:49Speaker 3: Has won Werribee for several days.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Bizarrely, the Premier was all smiles on election night even
- 1:56Speaker 2: as the awful numbers were rolling in. Joining me now
- 2:12Speaker 2: is esteem geologist and author Professor Ian Plymer. Professor, let's
- 2:17Speaker 2: start with the Prime Minister facing a revolt against his
- 2:21Speaker 2: party in key heartland seats. There's tens of thousands of
- 2:24Speaker 2: mining sector employees fear that Labour's anti mining stance and
- 2:28Speaker 2: their unofficial coalition with the Greens is a threat to
- 2:32Speaker 2: their livelihoods.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Professor, are their fears justified?
- 2:37Speaker 5: Well, they have been, and he's promising to make changes now,
- 2:40Speaker 5: but it's too late.
- 2:41Speaker 6: It's far too late. What he's hit the mining industry
- 2:44Speaker 6: with is.
- 2:46Speaker 5: The nature positive, which is basically a way of closing
- 2:49Speaker 5: down everything. He's headed the mining industry with industrial relations
- 2:54Speaker 5: such at the unions. Now basically he can control the
- 2:57Speaker 5: profitability of an operation.
- 3:00Speaker 6: Of energy costs and.
- 3:01Speaker 5: All mining involves energy and massive environmental legislation which logjams everything.
- 3:08Speaker 5: And he's got special legislation for critical minerals. He doesn't
- 3:11Speaker 5: seem to understand that every mineral is critical, especially the
- 3:14Speaker 5: energy minerals.
- 3:15Speaker 6: So it's too little, too late.
- 3:17Speaker 5: And he says he's going to make changes, Well, he
- 3:20Speaker 5: told us we're going to get two hundred and seventy
- 3:21Speaker 5: five dollars.
- 3:22Speaker 6: Also, we haven't got that, so it's too late.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Do you think it's going to cost labor seats in
- 3:29Speaker 2: those areas, particularly say New South Wales where they've held
- 3:34Speaker 2: those seats for a long time for decades, But that
- 3:38Speaker 2: workforce is dependent on the mining industry, and they're worried, well.
- 3:43Speaker 6: They are worried. They've got to be reason to be
- 3:45Speaker 6: worried because he talks the.
- 3:48Speaker 5: Talk, and that he is said, Oh, you know, this
- 3:50Speaker 5: is a long term industry and we want to support
- 3:52Speaker 5: it and we're doing everything we can to support it.
- 3:55Speaker 6: But he doesn't understand that if I.
- 3:57Speaker 5: Have a geological idea, by the time we get the tenements,
- 4:01Speaker 5: do the drilling, do the economic evaluation, it is twenty
- 4:04Speaker 5: five years now. You cannot have a government changing policy
- 4:08Speaker 5: all the time. And over a twenty five year period
- 4:11Speaker 5: before you start actually making some money, you can have
- 4:15Speaker 5: many changes. And that's what Labour has done. He's got
- 4:18Speaker 5: critical seats in the Newcastle area, especially the Upper Hunter,
- 4:22Speaker 5: which he could lose because the Labor Party doesn't represent
- 4:25Speaker 5: the workers any longer. They represent inner city elites. They
- 4:29Speaker 5: represent those people who drive their beamers and their porsches
- 4:32Speaker 5: and worries so much about the environment. They never go
- 4:36Speaker 5: out back. They've never been to a mine. They're anti mining,
- 4:39Speaker 5: yet they've never been underground. They've never worked in the mine.
- 4:41Speaker 5: I'm not even seen in mine. So he's catering to
- 4:44Speaker 5: those people and forgotten his core. And we saw that
- 4:48Speaker 5: in the recent by elections in Victoria where Labor Party
- 4:52Speaker 5: in Werriby has had a real shock.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Oh absolutely, and that is part of their Heartland, Yes,
- 4:57Speaker 2: very much until twenty four hours ago. Now, the President
- 5:02Speaker 2: Trump's brought some bad news for Australia. He's going to
- 5:06Speaker 2: be imposing eight twenty five percent tariff on Australian still
- 5:11Speaker 2: and aluminium that's going to be exported to the States.
- 5:15Speaker 3: What do you think about this?
- 5:16Speaker 2: These tariffs coincide with Donald Trump putting green projects on hold,
- 5:22Speaker 2: wasteful green projects about turbocharging, fossil fuel, investment, gas and
- 5:28Speaker 2: all projects are being rapidly approved and projects that are
- 5:33Speaker 2: worth over a billion US dollars.
- 5:35Speaker 3: Are being fast tracked.
- 5:37Speaker 2: A dramatically different approach to what we're seeing in Australia
- 5:40Speaker 2: right now.
- 5:41Speaker 5: Well, President Trumps concerned about the economy, and the economy
- 5:44Speaker 5: relies on energy. It doesn't rely on locking up huge
- 5:48Speaker 5: areas for green ideology. It doesn't rely on having green energy,
- 5:53Speaker 5: which has always been uneconomic, has always been polluting. It
- 5:58Speaker 5: relies on energy that's got a very large amount of grunt,
- 6:01Speaker 5: like coal.
- 6:01Speaker 6: And oil and nuclear.
- 6:03Speaker 5: And in terms of negotiations with Trump with our aluminium
- 6:07Speaker 5: steel industries, people should read his book The Art of
- 6:10Speaker 5: the Deal, and then you'll understand what Donald Trump is about.
- 6:13Speaker 5: Now we unfortunately are in the bad position of not
- 6:17Speaker 5: having Joe Hockey to negotiate for us. We have probably
- 6:20Speaker 5: one of the worst Prime ministers we've ever had, who
- 6:23Speaker 5: is now the ambassador, and who has said some very
- 6:26Speaker 5: disparaging things about the man he's going to negotiate with.
- 6:30Speaker 6: We should get rid of our ambassador.
- 6:32Speaker 2: Greater world raud is not going to be anywhere near
- 6:35Speaker 2: these negotiations having there, that would just be they would
- 6:42Speaker 2: be sealing our faith. I mean if we do something
- 6:44Speaker 2: that stupid. But is there any leverage that we have?
- 6:48Speaker 2: Is there anything that the Albanezy government can do to
- 6:51Speaker 2: perhaps have a rethink here because we have seen the
- 6:55Speaker 2: president announcer tariff and then when he gets what he
- 6:59Speaker 2: actually wants.
- 7:00Speaker 3: The tariff can be negotiated or go.
- 7:02Speaker 6: Well.
- 7:03Speaker 5: I don't think it's directed at Australia. We're small cheese
- 7:06Speaker 5: in the whole business. But we have a balance of
- 7:10Speaker 5: trade that is in the US's favor. And the second
- 7:13Speaker 5: thing is that we are allies. To be allies, then
- 7:17Speaker 5: we should be trading, and we should be trading basic
- 7:20Speaker 5: things like steel and aluminium. We should also be trading
- 7:23Speaker 5: manufactured goods. We've destroyed our manufacturing industry, especially in this state, Victoria,
- 7:28Speaker 5: We've totally destroyed it. So we're importing American vehicles. Some
- 7:33Speaker 5: of these are the really noisy, heavy V eights, which
- 7:38Speaker 5: are fabulous for the economy.
- 7:39Speaker 6: People love them, but they're the biggest selling vehicles.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Putting taxes on them.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Now, he talked about President Trump turbocharging not just the
- 7:48Speaker 2: mining industry, but manufacturing.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Do you see the.
- 7:51Speaker 2: US being on track not just for energy independence, but
- 7:55Speaker 2: perhaps becoming an energy superpower?
- 7:58Speaker 6: Yes, I do.
- 7:59Speaker 5: They have a geology which is very favorable for producing
- 8:02Speaker 5: gas and oil. They have small uranium deposits, so they've
- 8:06Speaker 5: got to get uranium from elsewhere. But what America has
- 8:10Speaker 5: is an energy and a positiveness and if there's something
- 8:15Speaker 5: to be done, they can do it. Now we've lost
- 8:18Speaker 5: that in Australia. Trump has revived it. And the America
- 8:21Speaker 5: we see now is very different from the America of
- 8:24Speaker 5: two years ago. We will never see a phenomenon like
- 8:27Speaker 5: Trump again. And the Americans must capitalize on this to
- 8:31Speaker 5: become yet again a superpower with energy in the military,
- 8:36Speaker 5: with all sorts of things.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Now you were in the US for the inauguration. It's
- 8:39Speaker 2: been three weeks now off Trump's second term. Do you
- 8:44Speaker 2: see him maintaining this pace. It's been like nothing we
- 8:49Speaker 2: have seen.
- 8:49Speaker 3: Before is just been incredible.
- 8:53Speaker 2: The media can barely keep up with it, the Democrats
- 8:56Speaker 2: can barely keep up with it. They're just in meltdown mode.
- 8:59Speaker 2: But it seems to be not just meticulous in its planning.
- 9:04Speaker 2: It looks like his transition team has been working for
- 9:07Speaker 2: years to implement these policies that he told us he
- 9:11Speaker 2: was going to do, but also at the same time
- 9:15Speaker 2: get rid of all the obstacles that he experienced in
- 9:18Speaker 2: his first term to make sure there's going to be
- 9:20Speaker 2: meaningful change this time around.
- 9:22Speaker 5: Well, he's had four years to think about it, and
- 9:23Speaker 5: he's used those years. Well, he's got a superb team
- 9:26Speaker 5: around him. And I don't know how he does it
- 9:30Speaker 5: on Hamburgers and Coca Cola.
- 9:33Speaker 3: And no sleep.
- 9:34Speaker 5: I mean, this man is a phenomenon and he is
- 9:38Speaker 5: very focused and unlike any politicians we've ever seen in
- 9:41Speaker 5: the past before, if he makes a promise, he actually
- 9:45Speaker 5: sticks to it. And this is the problem we have
- 9:47Speaker 5: in many Western democratic countries.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Do you see just lastly Australia walking away from that zero.
- 9:54Speaker 2: We've seen a reluctance from the coalition to commit to
- 9:58Speaker 2: that before the election. Certainly Lay is clinging on for
- 10:01Speaker 2: dear life. But do you see that happening? Because with
- 10:05Speaker 2: America out of powers, with China, India the biggest polluter,
- 10:09Speaker 2: is really not covered by the agreement, it's hard to
- 10:13Speaker 2: understand why we're persisting.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Well, carbon dioxide is not a pollutant, it's the gas
- 10:19Speaker 5: of life, it's plant food. We will be isolated, we
- 10:23Speaker 5: will be an energy backwater unless we follow. I think
- 10:27Speaker 5: mister Dutton is focusing on a couple of policies. He
- 10:31Speaker 5: doesn't want to frighten the horses. And as America evolves
- 10:35Speaker 5: under President Trump, you will have no choice. He'll have
- 10:38Speaker 5: to pull out of the absolute nonsense, which is scientifically invalid.
- 10:41Speaker 5: It's economically bankrupting, and it's hurting everyone. And I've always
- 10:45Speaker 5: argued that it won't be the science that will change
- 10:48Speaker 5: the argument. It will be the hip pocket and that's
- 10:51Speaker 5: now hitting people hard in this country.
- 10:53Speaker 3: For see em Plomer, thank you for your time tonight.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Thank you for having me.
- 10:56Speaker 3: Still to come.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Left is losing it Plus President Donald Trump cheered loudly,
- 11:01Speaker 2: while superstar Taylor Swift copped loud booze at the Super Bowl.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Alex Stein is up legs, welcome back. Now it's time
- 11:17Speaker 2: for lefties losing ed. We're going to get to some
- 11:21Speaker 2: Super Bowl hijinks shortly, including Taylor Swift being booed aggressively
- 11:26Speaker 2: while President Donald Trump was cheered loudly.
- 11:29Speaker 3: Didn't that see the left melt down?
- 11:32Speaker 2: But let's start with Democrat Maxine Waters, who, along with
- 11:36Speaker 2: other demented democracy denying lefties, trying to break into the
- 11:41Speaker 2: Department of Education and accosted a federal.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Employee standing in their way. Watch this utter lunacy. Put
- 11:51Speaker 3: them in the up. Come on, Oh your face up,
- 11:54Speaker 3: look at them, let them see you, look at it.
- 11:57Speaker 3: What's your name? Give me that idea again?
- 12:03Speaker 6: So what I showed you?
- 12:04Speaker 1: The idea?
- 12:06Speaker 4: You do what I showed you the Let me see
- 12:08Speaker 4: the id again?
- 12:12Speaker 3: Will someone else ask him for the idea? Will you
- 12:15Speaker 3: ask him for he won't let me see it again?
- 12:21Speaker 2: Oh my god, someone give that man a big, fat
- 12:25Speaker 2: pay rise.
- 12:26Speaker 3: He deserves it.
- 12:27Speaker 2: He's had a guardful of these juvenile antiques from Democrat geriatrics.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Are you prepared to stand here all night?
- 12:34Speaker 7: If we decided to stay I guess all right, well,
- 12:37Speaker 7: you just stay right there you just stay in. Are
- 12:40Speaker 7: you letting us go to that desk like we were
- 12:42Speaker 7: able to do last year?
- 12:45Speaker 3: He's you.
- 12:54Speaker 6: Did elon?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Must you?
- 12:56Speaker 6: Now?
- 12:56Speaker 3: Let's check in on Hollywood?
- 12:58Speaker 2: Has been Richard Gear You know, the dude whose career
- 13:01Speaker 2: highlight was playing a businessman who falls for a hooker.
- 13:04Speaker 3: He picked up off the streets.
- 13:06Speaker 2: He was in Spain for something called the Agoya Awards,
- 13:10Speaker 2: and he felt the need to share some dangerously delusional
- 13:14Speaker 2: thoughts about President Trump and his supporters.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Are you in shock, Richard?
- 13:19Speaker 4: And I'm in shark, My wife is in shark. We're
- 13:22Speaker 4: all in shark. The people spoke and they elected this president,
- 13:27Speaker 4: and that's a fact. But I don't even think the
- 13:30Speaker 4: people who were elected him really believed that he was
- 13:33Speaker 4: going to do what he said he was going to do.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Just how thick, how dangerously out of touch does one
- 13:39Speaker 2: need to be to not understand that Trump's supporters are
- 13:42Speaker 2: ecstatic over the moon about his first three weeks.
- 13:46Speaker 3: They prayed he would follow through and deliver on all
- 13:49Speaker 3: those election promises, and he has.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Now you may not like it if you're on the left,
- 13:56Speaker 2: but deluding yourself into thinking that Trump's supporters are upset well,
- 14:01Speaker 2: that's idiotic, but old Dick.
- 14:02Speaker 3: Gear wasn't done yet. Listen to this tysoon rant.
- 14:06Speaker 4: This is dark time in the US, and I think
- 14:09Speaker 4: it's a time for everyone to stand up. And I
- 14:11Speaker 4: was reading an article by someone Hungarian who watched things
- 14:17Speaker 4: change so radically under Orbon, and he said to America
- 14:20Speaker 4: better be vigilant because we didn't know how fast this
- 14:25Speaker 4: would happen in Hungary. And I can see this happening
- 14:29Speaker 4: very quickly. Now we have this incredibly dark marriage of
- 14:34Speaker 4: power and money like we've never seen before, not.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Only hysterical but completely wrong. The money was with the Democrats,
- 14:41Speaker 2: it has been for a long time. The majority of
- 14:44Speaker 2: billionaires where with the Democrats, including the likes of George Soros,
- 14:48Speaker 2: Bill Gates, Mark Cuban, Michael Bloomberg, and many more. That's
- 14:52Speaker 2: why Kamala Harris was able to outspend Trump by three
- 14:55Speaker 2: to one. Here is some facts for Richard Gear from
- 15:00Speaker 2: Enlist and best selling author Buttire Unga Sagon, who actually
- 15:04Speaker 2: relies on facts, not just feelings in hyperbole. Siro Trump
- 15:09Speaker 2: won folks making under one hundred thousand dollars, while the
- 15:12Speaker 2: Democrats won those making over one hundred thousand dollars. Biden
- 15:16Speaker 2: had two billionaires to every one. Trump had two to one.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Seventy five percent of hedge funders gave to Kamala nine
- 15:25Speaker 2: out of the ten Riches counties, and sixty five percent
- 15:29Speaker 2: that are making more than five hundred thousand.
- 15:32Speaker 3: Well, they're represented by the Democrats.
- 15:34Speaker 2: But Richard gear isn't going to let a little thing
- 15:37Speaker 2: like inconvenient facts interrupt him, spewing far left nonsense.
- 15:42Speaker 4: I'm coming for a place now that we're in a
- 15:44Speaker 4: very dark place in America where we have a bully
- 15:49Speaker 4: and a thug who is the president of the United States.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Oh so asinine. And guess what he references that article he.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Read from a Hungarian again, but this time it's just
- 16:00Speaker 2: a reader's letter in the New York Times.
- 16:02Speaker 4: But it's not just in the US, it's everywhere, everywhere.
- 16:06Speaker 4: And I read a really moving letter in the New
- 16:09Speaker 4: York Times from a gentleman and Hungary. And he was
- 16:14Speaker 4: the slippery slope of how this happens everywhere. Authoritarianism takes
- 16:19Speaker 4: us all over. We have to be vigilant, we have
- 16:22Speaker 4: to be alert, we have to be energetic, we have
- 16:24Speaker 4: to be brave, we have to be courageous.
- 16:27Speaker 3: We have to be brave and courageous.
- 16:30Speaker 2: These empty vessels like yeah are just so painfully dearm.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I just wish they would listen to the sage words
- 16:37Speaker 2: of advice from Ricky Gervais.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Remember a few years ago when he told.
- 16:42Speaker 8: Them this, If you do win an award tonight, don't
- 16:45Speaker 8: use it as a platform to make a political speech. Right,
- 16:48Speaker 8: You're in no position to lecture the public about anything.
- 16:51Speaker 8: You know nothing about the real world. Most of you
- 16:54Speaker 8: spent less time in school than Greta Thumberg.
- 16:56Speaker 2: Okay, to the super Bowl, and before we look at
- 17:00Speaker 2: actually happened, let's check in with a typical lefty Karen
- 17:04Speaker 2: being miserable.
- 17:05Speaker 7: If you are having trouble still deciding who you are
- 17:09Speaker 7: going to root for this weekend in the Super Bowl,
- 17:12Speaker 7: may I give you just a couple of things to
- 17:15Speaker 7: ponder over and think about.
- 17:16Speaker 9: The Chiefs kicker is Harrison Bucker, the same Harrison Bucker
- 17:20Speaker 9: who went on a tangent last year and has said
- 17:24Speaker 9: that women need to leave their jobs and just be
- 17:27Speaker 9: mothers and their sole responsibility is to take.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Care of men.
- 17:30Speaker 7: He's also a huge Trump supporter and would be first
- 17:33Speaker 7: in line to be a commander when the handmaid stale happens.
- 17:35Speaker 7: Patrick Mahomes, who is the Chiefs quarterback, him and his
- 17:39Speaker 7: wife both huge trumpers.
- 17:41Speaker 2: Oh dear, here we have a privileged white woman lecturing
- 17:45Speaker 2: and judging a black man, Patrick Mahomes on who he
- 17:49Speaker 2: can support in an election. Goodness, smythe these lefties seem
- 17:52Speaker 2: to be a little bit racist. Let's hear what other
- 17:55Speaker 2: reasons she has for picking your Super Bowl team?
- 17:59Speaker 7: Jaller Swift was born and raised an Eagles fan and
- 18:01Speaker 7: the only reason that she is now a Chiefs fan
- 18:03Speaker 7: is because her boyfriend plays for the team. She is
- 18:05Speaker 7: always going to be an Eagles fan.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Interesting mentioning Taylor Swift there watch here as the Kamala
- 18:12Speaker 2: lover is a booed mercilessly her reaction is priceless. Today,
- 18:27Speaker 2: Donald Trump became the first sitting president to attend the
- 18:31Speaker 2: Super Bowl and the reaction from the crowd was huge, huge,
- 18:35Speaker 2: from the moment he entered the stadium and he left
- 18:38Speaker 2: his watching, Can I suggest you divert your eyes now
- 18:42Speaker 2: because I think this is going to just fill you
- 18:44Speaker 2: with unbridled rage?
- 18:47Speaker 6: Is an a drug?
- 18:51Speaker 3: Love you, We love you?
- 18:57Speaker 2: And even players were keen to shake the present sand.
- 19:08Speaker 2: That was Chief Star Chris Jones. Now we heard the
- 19:10Speaker 2: booze when Taylor Swift was on the big screen. Listen
- 19:14Speaker 2: to what happened when President Donald Trump was put on
- 19:16Speaker 2: the big screen at the stadium.
- 19:20Speaker 3: That was fine.
- 19:25Speaker 2: Now there will be plenty more lefties losing at content
- 19:28Speaker 2: with my next guest, including the anthem funeral today. This
- 19:32Speaker 2: is the way the national anthem was presented at the
- 19:35Speaker 2: super Bowl. You see, it's a long way from Whitney, Houston,
- 19:48Speaker 2: a long way from Chris Stapleton. Remember that a couple
- 19:51Speaker 2: of years ago, that's ay before the anthem. But today
- 19:54Speaker 2: the NFL again insisted on having what is called the
- 19:58Speaker 2: Black National Anthem.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Let's see how that went.
- 20:12Speaker 2: There is no place for separate racial anthems. In my book,
- 20:16Speaker 2: it's one nation, one flag, one anthem. Why is fourteen
- 20:22Speaker 2: percent of the population in titled to an additional anthem?
- 20:25Speaker 2: Joining me now is comedian and host of Prime Time
- 20:29Speaker 2: with Alex Stein on Blaze TV. Alex Stein, Alex, what
- 20:33Speaker 2: do you make of this anthem argument?
- 20:37Speaker 10: Well, Rita, I think we actually need it now more
- 20:39Speaker 10: than ever. Did you see that they don't have end
- 20:42Speaker 10: racism in the end zone this year at the super Bowl. So,
- 20:45Speaker 10: I mean, we need to do it so we can
- 20:47Speaker 10: to buy racism. I know, we have to find it.
- 20:49Speaker 10: It's our biggest problem, according to Jasmine Crockett, the congresswoman
- 20:53Speaker 10: from Dallas, my neighborhood, So you.
- 20:55Speaker 3: Know we need it.
- 20:55Speaker 10: We need an anthem for every race. We need the
- 20:57Speaker 10: Chinese anthem, we need every race, the Hispanic Mexican anthem.
- 21:02Speaker 10: Everybody needs their own anthem. I don't care if it
- 21:04Speaker 10: takes forty five minutes for the game, you.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Forget about the game.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Maybe just we skip the first half and just have
- 21:11Speaker 2: the anthems of avery nationality that needs to be acknowledged.
- 21:16Speaker 3: I mean, the whole thing is ridiculous.
- 21:18Speaker 2: We had another first alex from Donald Trump today.
- 21:22Speaker 6: That would be history.
- 21:23Speaker 7: History already in the building tonight, as President Donald Trump
- 21:26Speaker 7: becomes the first sitting.
- 21:27Speaker 4: US president ever to attend a Super Bowl game live.
- 21:32Speaker 2: Now, how was the reception he received. I've played some
- 21:35Speaker 2: clips of him being cheered. All the clips I've seen
- 21:39Speaker 2: have seen people cheering, players running to him to shake
- 21:44Speaker 2: his hand. Contrast to that is the reception that superstar
- 21:50Speaker 2: Taylor Swift got aggressive booing when she was on the
- 21:54Speaker 2: big screen.
- 21:55Speaker 3: Explain to me what is happening, Well.
- 21:58Speaker 10: Rita, I mean, there's been a huge call, true shift.
- 22:01Speaker 10: According to the mainstream media. Everybody will tell you that
- 22:03Speaker 10: everybody just worships Taylor Swift, but that has changed. You
- 22:07Speaker 10: saw Chris Jones, deemedtive lineman for the Chiefs, run to
- 22:10Speaker 10: the sideline just to shake President Trump's hand before the
- 22:13Speaker 10: game starting, so DeAndre Hopkins and African American athletes. When
- 22:17Speaker 10: he got asked a leading question, are you excited for
- 22:21Speaker 10: President Trump to be there? And the media expected him
- 22:23Speaker 10: to be mad about it, and he said, no, I'm excited.
- 22:24Speaker 10: I voted for him. So the shift is happening right
- 22:28Speaker 10: before our eyes, and it's unbelievable. It's a great thing
- 22:31Speaker 10: to watch.
- 22:34Speaker 2: It is a cultural shift, and I think it's taken
- 22:36Speaker 2: a lot of people by surprise.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Even people on.
- 22:39Speaker 2: The right who thought that Donald Trump was going to win.
- 22:43Speaker 2: They weren't anticipating this cultural shift. Having sports stars doing
- 22:48Speaker 2: the Trump dance, Trump becoming cool. It's something that even
- 22:52Speaker 2: a Trump derangement syndrome sufferer Bill Maher has spoken about
- 22:56Speaker 2: that Trump's cool now. Rappers want to with him, athletes
- 23:01Speaker 2: want to hang with him that the cultural shift has
- 23:05Speaker 2: taken a lot of people by surprise.
- 23:09Speaker 10: We'll read it. People love winners, and Donald Trump is
- 23:11Speaker 10: a winner. So I'm not surprised that all the people
- 23:14Speaker 10: that were long time Trump holdouts have finally gotten on
- 23:18Speaker 10: the Trump train. It's a beautiful thing to see here
- 23:20Speaker 10: in our country.
- 23:23Speaker 3: Now.
- 23:23Speaker 2: We'll get to some polling numbers shortly, and they're interesting indeed.
- 23:28Speaker 2: But I've got one last thing to show you from
- 23:31Speaker 2: the super Bowl. Every year, the ads are a highlight.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Millions and millions are spent to come up with the
- 23:37Speaker 2: best ads every year. This year, the Secret Service put
- 23:41Speaker 2: out a recruitment ad produced by Hollywood director Michael Bay.
- 23:47Speaker 2: It's quite something.
- 23:48Speaker 3: Have a look.
- 23:49Speaker 1: America was founded on an idea of freedom. America has
- 23:55Speaker 1: always stepped forward in time of need throughout our short
- 23:59Speaker 1: but powerful history.
- 24:01Speaker 5: And not what your country can do for you and
- 24:04Speaker 5: what you can do for your country turned down this one.
- 24:10Speaker 1: We've been there for all of it, on.
- 24:18Speaker 6: The second plane at the Tower.
- 24:21Speaker 1: Our heroes are humble. We have an enterpride to keep
- 24:26Speaker 1: this idea alive. Protectors are born, they're not made. The
- 24:40Speaker 1: America's Secret Service protecting this super Bowl is asking a
- 24:43Speaker 1: few more to step forward.
- 24:49Speaker 3: It's all about patriotism.
- 24:51Speaker 2: It's the sort of ad we didn't expect to say
- 24:53Speaker 2: anymore on TV, certainly not a Super.
- 24:56Speaker 3: Bowl ad like that. Tell me about that.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Changing the institutions, whether it's the Sacred Service, we're talking about,
- 25:04Speaker 2: reforming the FBI, CIA, Justice Department, getting these mad idea
- 25:10Speaker 2: logus out of there and returning them to their former glory,
- 25:13Speaker 2: is all of that, which is really very much part
- 25:16Speaker 2: of the Trump agenda.
- 25:18Speaker 3: Is it achievable?
- 25:20Speaker 10: Well, I do think it's achievable. And listen, the Secret Service.
- 25:23Speaker 10: They have to do a total overhaul of their public
- 25:26Speaker 10: relations because we've lost faith in them when you saw
- 25:29Speaker 10: Donald Trump get shot in his ear and you saw
- 25:31Speaker 10: a few women they didn't even know how to take
- 25:33Speaker 10: out their gun from their holster. They have to do
- 25:35Speaker 10: whatever they can to gain the American people's trust again.
- 25:38Speaker 10: So you know, I like that commercial. You didn't see
- 25:41Speaker 10: a lot of women in it. Not that I don't
- 25:42Speaker 10: want women being in the Secret Service, but I'm just saying,
- 25:45Speaker 10: at least that commercial seemed like it was honest of
- 25:48Speaker 10: the people that I want protecting their president. So yes,
- 25:50Speaker 10: I do think it's achievable, Rita, We've got four years.
- 25:52Speaker 10: And you know, now looking back, it was the greatest
- 25:54Speaker 10: thing that Trump didn't win in twenty twenty because we
- 25:57Speaker 10: got to see how terrible Joe Biden is and how
- 25:59Speaker 10: much stuff we need change. It's all going to get fixed,
- 26:02Speaker 10: and it's going to take some time, but in four years,
- 26:05Speaker 10: I do think Donald Trump could do it.
- 26:08Speaker 2: I think you make an excellent point there, and I mean,
- 26:11Speaker 2: no one would have said that back then who was
- 26:14Speaker 2: in the Trump camp.
- 26:15Speaker 3: But in many.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Ways that loss was a blessing because they'd really opened
- 26:19Speaker 2: their eyes to just how.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Deep the bureaucracy issues.
- 26:24Speaker 2: Are, how much they were white aunted, and the corruption
- 26:29Speaker 2: that exists in DC. And they had four years to
- 26:33Speaker 2: carefully formulate a plan to overcome all that. And you
- 26:36Speaker 2: wonder if they won in twenty twenty, where there was
- 26:39Speaker 2: going to be really any different from the first term,
- 26:42Speaker 2: where every step had just so many hurdles in front
- 26:48Speaker 2: of it. Let's talk about these polling numbers, starting with
- 26:53Speaker 2: the President Trump's approval rating now at fifty three percent,
- 26:59Speaker 2: a six percent. This is CBS News polling. This is
- 27:02Speaker 2: the highest approval rating for President Trump in CBS polling
- 27:07Speaker 2: history and alex When it comes to the big issues
- 27:12Speaker 2: like a deportation policy, which people expected to be really contentious,
- 27:17Speaker 2: well the numbers are even more promising. When asked do
- 27:21Speaker 2: you approve or disapprove of the Trump administration's program to
- 27:25Speaker 2: find and deport immigrants.
- 27:27Speaker 3: Who are in the US illegally.
- 27:28Speaker 2: The approval number there is fifty nine percent, up eighteen percent,
- 27:33Speaker 2: and the numbers are up for every age group you're
- 27:37Speaker 2: looking at, from eighteen year olds all the way to
- 27:40Speaker 2: sixty five plus. This has got to be terrifying the
- 27:46Speaker 2: Democrats and the media and activist class.
- 27:51Speaker 10: No, you're exactly right. The media is shaking in their boots.
- 27:54Speaker 10: That's why they're constantly talking about the price of eggs,
- 27:56Speaker 10: as if inflation wasn't absolutely terrible under Joe Biden Kambla
- 28:00Speaker 10: Harris for the past four years. So the media is
- 28:02Speaker 10: doing anything they possibly can to try to spin this
- 28:06Speaker 10: presidency as a negative thing, when in reality, everybody's happy
- 28:10Speaker 10: that illegal immigrants are actually getting sent back to their
- 28:12Speaker 10: home countries. Not because we're bigoted or racist or we
- 28:15Speaker 10: don't even want immigrants, but because we don't want to
- 28:17Speaker 10: have a two tiered justice system. Where illegal immigrants or
- 28:20Speaker 10: have more access to social services, and American citizens, like
- 28:24Speaker 10: people in Chicago, African Americans don't have access to the
- 28:28Speaker 10: same social services that an illegal immigrant does. So people
- 28:31Speaker 10: are sick and tired of our two tiered justicism that
- 28:34Speaker 10: puts Americans last. So it's brilliant, it's great, and these
- 28:38Speaker 10: numbers are only going to go up when Trump can
- 28:40Speaker 10: actually get more things accomplished.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Well, this next poll should really terrify the Democrats. This
- 28:51Speaker 2: is where they asked voters to describe Donald Trump. These
- 28:55Speaker 2: are the top responses. Have a look at the list.
- 28:58Speaker 2: This is the top ones. This isn't just the he
- 29:00Speaker 2: won sixty nine percent, tough, sixty three percent, energetic, sixty percent, focus,
- 29:06Speaker 2: fifty eight percent effective. Though the top responses are all positive,
- 29:11Speaker 2: they're all traits you want in a president. So despite
- 29:15Speaker 2: the overwhelming negative response to every policy, whether it's the border,
- 29:21Speaker 2: whether it's deportations, where it's usaid and we've got to
- 29:25Speaker 2: talk about that, the public seems to be disregarding the noise,
- 29:30Speaker 2: the hysteria from the media and the activist class and saying,
- 29:36Speaker 2: so far we like what we see.
- 29:39Speaker 10: Oh one hundred percent, and honestly, Donald Trump's very tough,
- 29:43Speaker 10: but his energy is just on match a man at
- 29:46Speaker 10: his age. The way that he moves and travels on
- 29:49Speaker 10: a daily basis is unlike any twenty year old. Anybody
- 29:52Speaker 10: in their prime cannot have the same level of energy
- 29:55Speaker 10: as Donald Trump. So people notice that I would put
- 29:58Speaker 10: and I'm not trying to kiss his but I would
- 30:00Speaker 10: put smart because he's a brilliant, brilliant guy, and they
- 30:03Speaker 10: do not give him enough credit for how smart Donald
- 30:06Speaker 10: Trump is. So that would be my number one adjective
- 30:08Speaker 10: when it comes to the president.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Well, I've got to say I've been surprised by how
- 30:14Speaker 2: easily he's been able to get what he wants. Whether
- 30:18Speaker 2: he's talking with about Canada or Mexico or Columbia.
- 30:23Speaker 3: He makes a threat, they have a.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Bit of a meltdown, but within twenty four hours they're
- 30:29Speaker 2: doing what he's asked for. And that's another win for
- 30:33Speaker 2: the US. I mentioned us AID, US AID that is
- 30:39Speaker 2: becoming a big issue that Democrats are doubling down saying
- 30:43Speaker 2: the funding here is necessary, it saves lives, it is
- 30:47Speaker 2: not wasteful, it's not corrupt. But the more we learn
- 30:51Speaker 2: about where American taxpayers money might have has gone around
- 30:56Speaker 2: the world with this program. I think the more dangerous
- 31:00Speaker 2: it is for the Democrats to defend it.
- 31:02Speaker 3: Alex Oh one percent.
- 31:05Speaker 10: I mean they're making Sesame Street in Iraq, They're doing
- 31:09Speaker 10: gender studies in countries where women aren't even allowed to
- 31:12Speaker 10: drive a car. So it's just absurd the money that
- 31:16Speaker 10: we've wasted trying to indoctrinate foreign countries when people here
- 31:21Speaker 10: in America are struggling every day. So yeah, there's no
- 31:24Speaker 10: excuse for the USAID program.
- 31:27Speaker 3: Alex Stein, thanks for your time tonight.
- 31:29Speaker 10: Always a pleasure. Thank you for having me read it.
- 31:31Speaker 10: Talk to you again soon.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Still to come.
- 31:33Speaker 2: Travis Kelcey slamm for attending the Super Bowl looking like
- 31:37Speaker 2: a seventies porn star.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Kimsey Schofield joins me next. Welcome back.
- 31:51Speaker 2: Joining me now is celebrity and royal commentator Kinsey Schofield.
- 31:55Speaker 2: Kinsey Donald Trump has told The New York Post that
- 31:59Speaker 2: he is not going to be deporting Prince Harry.
- 32:02Speaker 3: He told the paper, I.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Don't want to do that. I'll leave him alone. He's
- 32:07Speaker 2: got enough problems with his wife.
- 32:09Speaker 3: She's terrible.
- 32:11Speaker 2: And he also added this, I think poor Harry is
- 32:14Speaker 2: being led around by the nose. I've got to say, Kinsey,
- 32:18Speaker 2: I was laughing out lad literally reading this article.
- 32:24Speaker 3: He's the funniest president we're ever going to see.
- 32:27Speaker 11: He truly is.
- 32:28Speaker 12: He also used the opportunity to take an additional swipe
- 32:32Speaker 12: at Harry by praising Prince William, saying I think William
- 32:35Speaker 12: is a great young man. Hours after President Trump made
- 32:39Speaker 12: these comments, Harry used his opening speech at the Invictus
- 32:43Speaker 12: Games to.
- 32:43Speaker 11: Criticize weak moral character.
- 32:47Speaker 12: I'd say that I don't take those kinds of comments
- 32:50Speaker 12: seriously from a man I've seen in a Nazi costume.
- 32:53Speaker 11: But you know what do I know?
- 32:57Speaker 3: Now?
- 32:57Speaker 2: Meghan markles coppted them backlash after apparently moving a Team
- 33:03Speaker 2: Canada members by grabbing their wheelchair and maneuvering them without permission.
- 33:09Speaker 3: Please tell me this story is not accurate.
- 33:12Speaker 11: This sounds crazy, This is horrifically true.
- 33:17Speaker 12: You know, Megan, in the video, she appears to move
- 33:20Speaker 12: this woman's wheelchair without asking her permission, and the individual
- 33:23Speaker 12: stops mid conversation, kind of shocked as Megan moves her
- 33:28Speaker 12: towards the group for a photo. Because you know, no
- 33:31Speaker 12: one loves to document their good deeds more than Megan Markle.
- 33:35Speaker 12: Internet backlash was fierce. Meghan has the social skills of
- 33:39Speaker 12: a caffeinated Shitsu. I just I don't understand how she
- 33:43Speaker 12: thought that that was appropriate at all.
- 33:47Speaker 2: No, I think she just saw someone in a wheelchair
- 33:49Speaker 2: and cameras and just rushed deep without thinking. Now, Kinsey,
- 33:53Speaker 2: it seems Tyler Swift and Blake Lively's friendship is on
- 33:57Speaker 2: the rocks. According to TMZ, Tyler deliberately left Blake off
- 34:01Speaker 2: her invite list for the Super Bowl, leaving the Daily
- 34:05Speaker 2: maus Mare in Callahan to conclude, no celebrity apparently is
- 34:10Speaker 2: more transactional than Taylor Swift.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Not one seems.
- 34:14Speaker 2: More cold blooded, more lizardly, more willing to leave loved
- 34:18Speaker 2: ones behind, and should they threaten her so called Miss
- 34:21Speaker 2: Americana brand.
- 34:23Speaker 3: It's pretty rough. I mean, I'm not a massive.
- 34:26Speaker 2: Taylor Swift defender, but that's a pretty rough characterization. I
- 34:30Speaker 2: think we know why Taylor Swift is angry that text
- 34:33Speaker 2: message Blake sent to Justin Baldoni referring to herself as
- 34:38Speaker 2: the mutter of dragons and Taylor as one of her dragons.
- 34:42Speaker 3: But with the booing.
- 34:43Speaker 2: Taylor copped Kinsey, probably Blake Lively is happy she wasn't.
- 34:46Speaker 11: There, right, That's so true.
- 34:49Speaker 12: You know, Taylor went through that horrible dark time against
- 34:53Speaker 12: Kanye and Kim, and I think she sees, you know,
- 34:57Speaker 12: a very similar situation happening with Bleake and just and
- 35:00Speaker 12: just does not want to be associated with it.
- 35:02Speaker 11: But you said it last week.
- 35:03Speaker 12: That's not what girlfriends do, especially when you're in a
- 35:06Speaker 12: position like Taylor Swift. Taylor could say one word and
- 35:09Speaker 12: change a lot of people's hearts. I'm not saying she
- 35:11Speaker 12: should because I'm team Justin, but Taylor has that power.
- 35:19Speaker 2: Now we've got Travis Kelcey, Taylor Swift's boyfriend. He was
- 35:24Speaker 2: mocked today for the outfit he chose to wear as
- 35:28Speaker 2: he arrived at the super Bowl.
- 35:30Speaker 3: How he was dressed.
- 35:31Speaker 2: I mean, he looks like, I don't know, some sort
- 35:34Speaker 2: of seventies porn star kinzie.
- 35:37Speaker 12: You know, Travis Kelcey might not have his fourth super
- 35:40Speaker 12: Bowl ring, but he clearly does have a black belt
- 35:42Speaker 12: and polyester. You know, he was criticized for partying with
- 35:47Speaker 12: Taylor Swift before in the days leading up to the
- 35:50Speaker 12: super Bowl, and he looks silly he didn't win. You're
- 35:55Speaker 12: going to see that pylon happening over the next few days.
- 35:59Speaker 12: The outfit didn't help it. Are you taking this seriously enough?
- 36:03Speaker 12: Is what people are going to ask.
- 36:06Speaker 2: Now, there was this rumor doing the rounds. I don't
- 36:09Speaker 2: know if there was any truth to it that if
- 36:12Speaker 2: he had won. We saw the last time when he
- 36:15Speaker 2: played and he won and he got up and sang,
- 36:18Speaker 2: and I don't know. Taler Swift actually looked pretty embarrassed
- 36:20Speaker 2: during that entire performance. But the rumor was Kinsey that
- 36:24Speaker 2: if they won, he was going to propose on that
- 36:28Speaker 2: stage getting his Super Bowl ring. Any truth to that
- 36:32Speaker 2: or just mad scuttle, But.
- 36:35Speaker 12: These two are so show bearz. I can absolutely see
- 36:39Speaker 12: that happening. So now where is he going to find
- 36:42Speaker 12: the next opportunity to do that where there will be
- 36:44Speaker 12: cameras and they can take advantage of all the pr
- 36:47Speaker 12: that they just organically generate.
- 36:51Speaker 2: Well, I think Taylor Swift was a little bit shocked
- 36:54Speaker 2: to that. I played the footage earlier of her being
- 36:56Speaker 2: booed and her reaction to it, the side eye she
- 37:00Speaker 2: gave to the person she was with. I think she
- 37:02Speaker 2: was taken aback that there was such loud, aggressive booze
- 37:07Speaker 2: against her. So her brand I think isn't as golden
- 37:13Speaker 2: as the media.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Would have you believe.
- 37:14Speaker 2: She's a polarizing figure. She's got obviously millions of fans,
- 37:19Speaker 2: but also millions who I think are just sort of
- 37:21Speaker 2: sick of her. Let's talk about Donald Trump. He had
- 37:25Speaker 2: a game with Tiger Woods. They played a spot of
- 37:29Speaker 2: golf together before the super Bowl.
- 37:32Speaker 12: Yeah, nice to see two goats in the wild. Charlie Woods,
- 37:36Speaker 12: a Tiger's son, was also there. He's considered a great
- 37:39Speaker 12: junior golfer. And you know, you saw the reaction to
- 37:44Speaker 12: Donald Trump when he entered the super Bowl and when.
- 37:47Speaker 11: His face was shown on the screen. Times are changing.
- 37:51Speaker 12: It's you are okay to hang out with the president today.
- 37:55Speaker 12: You could not see that a few years ago. So
- 37:57Speaker 12: you are seeing high profile people like Harwood's re engage.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Absolutely now.
- 38:06Speaker 2: Rapper Kendrick Lamar's super Bowl halftime performance has been slammed
- 38:12Speaker 2: by some as the worst halftime show ever.
- 38:16Speaker 3: Let's have a quick look.
- 38:18Speaker 9: Broat free Man Damn coming in and lamp tell him
- 38:23Speaker 9: brief TETI boys book around like peas.
- 38:25Speaker 3: What's some of these you're calling your kinsey? What did
- 38:28Speaker 3: you think of it?
- 38:29Speaker 2: I've got to say it was just sort of in
- 38:31Speaker 2: the background. I wasn't paying attention to the halftime performance,
- 38:35Speaker 2: so it's a rare time where I'm going to be
- 38:37Speaker 2: on the fence.
- 38:39Speaker 11: It was incredibly unremarkable.
- 38:41Speaker 12: You know, New Orleans has an incredible culture when it
- 38:44Speaker 12: comes to music, and some of today's greatest artists come
- 38:47Speaker 12: from Louisiana.
- 38:48Speaker 11: Why can Kendrick Lamar? Where was Lil Wayne? That's what
- 38:51Speaker 11: I would ask, Yeah.
- 38:55Speaker 2: And the point was also made that this is an
- 38:58Speaker 2: artist who much of the US couldn't name a single song.
- 39:03Speaker 2: So normally that halftime performance is for bonafide superstars who
- 39:08Speaker 2: have just got mass appeal. So whether you like them
- 39:12Speaker 2: or not, you know their songs, They're going to be
- 39:14Speaker 2: playing some music that you're familiar with. But I think
- 39:17Speaker 2: that one was a peculiar choice. But I'm going to
- 39:21Speaker 2: reserve judgment until I've actually looked at the performance properly. Kinsiscofield,
- 39:26Speaker 2: thanks for joining us, and that's it for me. Tonight
- 39:30Speaker 2: up next is Newsnight. I'll see you at eleven tomorrow.
