- 0:00SPEAKER_01: Well, Doug thinks he has all the answers.
- 0:02SPEAKER_01: He's he answered my why do sheepnots shrink in the rain if when you're, you know, washing a wool sweater and you never wash wool and it shrinks and and you're like, Well, that that can't be worn anymore.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, Well, damn, I'm sorry.
- 0:14SPEAKER_01: I didn't know.
- 0:15SPEAKER_00: And then but the sheep don't shrink, right?
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: It rains.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: It's been raining for days around here.
- 0:20SPEAKER_01: You think the sheep in Bradford suddenly shriveled up?
- 0:23SPEAKER_00: I I was thinking, they must get a jerry curl, right?
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: I mean, beyond what they have, maybe tighter.
- 0:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's well, yeah, that's a jerry curl.
- 0:30SPEAKER_00: Well then Doug comes in with this.
- 0:32SPEAKER_01: He goes, Everyone knows.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: Be careful with the term everyone knows, my my guy.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: Everyone knows that sheep do not shrink in the rain because their wool lacks the heat, soap, and rough agitation required for fibers to lock together uh and felt interesting.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Duh.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: Oh my gosh.
- 0:50SPEAKER_01: What if I went out into the field, rainy day, again for a while today and rubbed a bunch of sheep together?
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: 76.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: Well, what if I took like a bottle of shampoo and I vigorously shampooed a sheep?
- 1:01SPEAKER_01: Would it shrink?
- 1:02SPEAKER_01: I don't think they I don't know.
- 1:04SPEAKER_00: Do you wash sheep?
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: And I don't want to agitate a sheep because then if that thing comes running at you, I don't know what that's gonna be like.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: It sounds like um, you know, like a machine gun.
- 1:18SPEAKER_01: But wow.
- 1:19SPEAKER_01: I don't think it's like maybe the first time in 35 years that I've ever not been here.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: But you know how you wash your dogs, right?
- 1:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sure, they don't shrink, but they're not wool.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: Well, I know, but I'm saying, do you wash sheep?
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: I don't think you wash sheep.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: Is there like a sheep car wash?
- 1:34SPEAKER_01: You just line them up and they go through.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Exactly, and you hose them all they're all looking like baby sheep again.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Aww, and they have the tightest little cute, cutest curls ever.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: This is ridiculous.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: It totally is.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: Um, all right, moving back to a couple big things.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Wait, wait, hold on.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: They said uh this is another text about the sheep thing.
- 1:51SPEAKER_00: Oh good everyone.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: This is from 0452.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Leave it to Scott to uncover a scam the animals are pulling on us.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: I know, right?
- 2:00SPEAKER_01: I'm here for you.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: It's such a weird one.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: Okay, what were you gonna say?
- 2:03SPEAKER_01: Oh, back to business at hand.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: It's one of these days.
- 2:06SPEAKER_01: We got a couple things that we've got to maintain, keeping you informed on.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: I know people are jumping in and out at different times.
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: If you haven't left the house yet, uh, plan a little bit of an early departure.
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: It is very foggy everywhere.
- 2:17SPEAKER_01: And we've had days of rain or wet or bleh.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: I mean, can we have sun?
- 2:22SPEAKER_01: Oh, by the way, I did check ahead Saturday when we're out at the Montour Falls Harvest Festival.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: Please tell me goodness.
- 2:27SPEAKER_01: Sunshine.
- 2:28SPEAKER_00: Oh, good, because I looked at the weather 10 days ago and it was sunshine, and I was a little concerned.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And I was a little concerned because of course I'm going to wrangle Zach into not only is he coming to the fall festival with us, but then we're gonna go to apple picking afterwards, and then we're gonna come back for the fireworks because there's gonna be fireworks over top of the falls at seven, around seven.
- 2:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that'll be very cool.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: So I said, let's hit up the festival for a couple hours, and then we're just gonna, we're gonna fall it out.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Yep.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: We're gonna do all the fall things on Saturday.
- 2:56SPEAKER_01: One day, because the rest of the season is football season for him.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 3:01SPEAKER_00: Oh, I'm sure he's gonna be watching an Ohio State game on Saturday, I'm sure.
- 3:05SPEAKER_01: You know, you could always take the easy route.
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Take him up to Lane Cider.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: I I we were up there this past Saturday.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: They have all the apples pre-picked in massive bins that you just go through and go, I'll take three of those.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: Three of those.
- 3:16SPEAKER_01: And you do have to be.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: Do you know do you know directions?
- 3:17SPEAKER_00: Do you know how this works?
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: So Tiffany will get you there in two minutes.
- 3:20SPEAKER_00: Montour Falls, I can go right up to Apples and More, which is like a fart away.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Well, yeah, but do you want to walk and pluck from the tree?
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Or okay.
- 3:29SPEAKER_00: I want all the I want the romanticism of the plucking.
- 3:32SPEAKER_01: While he's watching a football game on his phone.
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, okay, that works.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Uh, why don't you know, just work smarter, not harder.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: We're plucking.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: We're plucking, we're taking a picture on that big chair.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: He's gonna do all the romantic things.
- 3:47SPEAKER_00: And then we actually talked about doing one other thing, and it's there's this place up in Pennyan, so I'm like traveling north and then coming back down.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Um, it is called the spotted duck.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Have you ever been there?
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: No.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: It's they they do ice cream, but it's with duck eggs, and everybody says it's the best ice cream.
- 4:06SPEAKER_00: I know you do, I know you do, but everyone says it's the best.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Because that place on Market Street did duck eggs all the time, and it was like, can I just have a chicken egg?
- 4:13SPEAKER_00: Right, right, right, right.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: So that's okay, they're not open anymore.
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: You you can mention it.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: But anyway, so we're then we're gonna that's when we're gonna come back down.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: And yes, I'm gonna make him pick an apple.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Actually, I think he's okay with it.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: I think he's pretty excited.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: An apple?
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think he's pretty excited.
- 4:28SPEAKER_01: Because then he's gonna sit on the big bench and watch Ohio State.
- 4:31SPEAKER_00: Speaking of Zach, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta uh share this little little little story that happened last night.
- 4:36SPEAKER_00: We were talking about him moving in, and it's like kind of a process.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: Like he brings some things in.
- 4:42SPEAKER_00: It's not happened yet, but it's gonna happen in the next like month or two, right?
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: So as we're talking about it, this all of a sudden starts playing out of my speaker.
- 4:54SPEAKER_01: Moving right along in search of good times and good news.
- 4:58SPEAKER_01: I think that's funny.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: I think my surrey accidentally got like as we were talking, because we were talking about moving.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: And the song is called Movin' Right Along from The Muppets.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: Great song.
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: I think it got like kicked up by my us talking about it.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Maybe?
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: All of a sudden I'm like, is that the Muppets?
- 5:19SPEAKER_00: What's happening?
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: Moving right along.
- 5:25SPEAKER_01: I used to love this song as a really little kid.
- 5:28SPEAKER_01: Little, little kid.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: Does that ever happen to you where your surrear or your Alexa will start playing something because you said one little word?
- 5:37SPEAKER_01: No, because I don't have one set up because I know it's gonna listen to me and and uh and and take note, and then you know, uh then all of a sudden I don't know what'll happen.
- 5:45SPEAKER_01: You know, the author the authorities will arrive and they'll be like But more important question is I will officially take this as you guys are really talking about a move in when he cancels his lease.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Oh, well, he's month to month.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: So he's Oh really?
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know he's one of those very few.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: You know when you live Oh my god, there's nobody that gets that.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: No one.
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: And you know when you live somewhere for such I mean, I he I think he's lived there for a few years, but you live there long enough that they're like, Yeah, we're good.
- 6:10SPEAKER_01: Oh, we're good.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: You can get
