- 3:39Speaker 4: All right, ready, already, welcome back to the Son of
- 3:45Speaker 4: a Boy Dad podcast.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Today.
- 3:48Speaker 4: It is September twenty fifth. Oh wait, yeah, this is
- 3:54Speaker 4: coming out on Tuesday.
- 3:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well that's okay. They'll be alright, they'll wonder
- 3:59Speaker 3: why we didn't talk ball. We might as well, be honest.
- 4:02Speaker 4: I don't know if they will, but it's only if
- 4:04Speaker 4: something like if we hit our parlay, we're gonna have
- 4:07Speaker 4: to re record.
- 4:08Speaker 1: We're just gonna seem humble.
- 4:09Speaker 3: We're never recording again. Yeah, if we hear that parlay.
- 4:13Speaker 4: Unfortunately, the parlay this week only pays out two point
- 4:16Speaker 4: four mil.
- 4:18Speaker 1: And you're really trusted me to pay you guys out
- 4:21Speaker 1: on this now?
- 4:22Speaker 3: Oh I didn't even know I was. I don't expect
- 4:24Speaker 3: to be part of it.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Well, sass, you're really expecting me to pay you out.
- 4:28Speaker 3: Of I'd like to be, but you guys cut me out.
- 4:31Speaker 3: We cut you out, and that's fine. You guys clearly
- 4:35Speaker 3: you know, need your own thing.
- 4:36Speaker 4: Feel free to take any of those and fade them.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I'm an art big time fade.
- 4:42Speaker 3: Well.
- 4:42Speaker 1: I think that if if this does hit, I'm buying
- 4:46Speaker 1: SaaS first class tickets.
- 4:47Speaker 4: Oh that's huge, that would be big. Those are expensive. Lately,
- 4:53Speaker 4: I bought myself first class ticket on yesterday or two
- 4:56Speaker 4: days ago, and it was a lot.
- 4:58Speaker 1: How much did it run?
- 4:59Speaker 3: You? A lot? How much?
- 5:01Speaker 4: Well, when you are flying standby, that's like only like
- 5:04Speaker 4: a twenty five dollars down payment and then you got
- 5:06Speaker 4: to throw like the seven hundred on top of it
- 5:08Speaker 4: for first class.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Flying first class to Chicago is.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Totally unnecessary.
- 5:14Speaker 1: That's like getting first class on a train.
- 5:17Speaker 4: It's really not. I actually don't understand where that whole
- 5:20Speaker 4: thing came, Like, I feel like that was when everyone
- 5:22Speaker 4: moved to Chicago. I feel like they spread this rumor
- 5:25Speaker 4: that like a flight to Chicago's like taking the train
- 5:28Speaker 4: to Long Island for the weekend. It's a You're in
- 5:31Speaker 4: the air for two hours and then it's like four
- 5:34Speaker 4: hours from ohair to your hotel.
- 5:36Speaker 3: That's the problem. Yeah.
- 5:37Speaker 4: Yeah, it's not like an easy trip by any means. No,
- 5:41Speaker 4: like we just did like we did like Philly Columbus
- 5:44Speaker 4: or I guess I did Philly Columbus in Chicago, Philly.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Obviously that doesn't really count. I mean it's a train ride.
- 5:50Speaker 1: It's like a flight to Chicago.
- 5:51Speaker 4: Yeah, but Columbus is like the Columbus is. You're in
- 5:55Speaker 4: the air for an hour and a half, you land,
- 5:57Speaker 4: everything's right there, get back on the ploat plane and
- 6:00Speaker 4: fly home.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Easy Portland, Maine fifty minutes.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, that's nice, really nice.
- 6:07Speaker 4: If they opened the office in the flight is like
- 6:09Speaker 4: the flight is like throwing a ball.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Yes, gentle up and then gentle down. There's no it's
- 6:14Speaker 3: the best sustained Yeah, o.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Haair airport should not be there. No, so they should
- 6:19Speaker 1: put it over the water.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Yeah. They should fill in the lake, is what they
- 6:23Speaker 4: should do. So and expand the city.
- 6:27Speaker 3: I like Midway.
- 6:28Speaker 4: I've never been.
- 6:29Speaker 3: Yeah, I flew there once.
- 6:31Speaker 4: I was looking.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I used to fly there as a kid because my
- 6:34Speaker 1: parents were we were a Southwest family.
- 6:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a Southwest place.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Which is another way of saying that times were tough.
- 6:41Speaker 4: Yeah, we were American Airlines today and it was.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Not great.
- 6:48Speaker 4: Hey, what's up guys, sass here. Uh just wanted to
- 6:51Speaker 4: jump in real quick and give you guys a little
- 6:53Speaker 4: bit of an explanation regarding today's episode. So we had
- 6:57Speaker 4: to trim down, or I trimmed it down.
- 7:01Speaker 3: It was.
- 7:02Speaker 4: We recorded like an hour and a half last Thursday
- 7:04Speaker 4: for this Tuesday, and when we recorded, I just got
- 7:08Speaker 4: off of a flight. I was in a bad mood,
- 7:10Speaker 4: and it pretty much just turned into like me ranting
- 7:14Speaker 4: about this first class list for like thirty plus minutes,
- 7:18Speaker 4: and there was funny parts which I left in, Like
- 7:20Speaker 4: I left in all the funny shit. But then aside
- 7:22Speaker 4: from that, it really like you're not missed. You guys
- 7:25Speaker 4: aren't missing out on anything, is what I'm trying to
- 7:27Speaker 4: say here. It was just bad podcasting on my behalf.
- 7:31Speaker 4: So trimmed out most of that shit, and yeah, we've
- 7:37Speaker 4: got a solid back two thirds of the episode that
- 7:40Speaker 4: you guys are going to enjoy, very funny. Yeah that's all.
- 7:44Speaker 4: We'll be back on Thursday with a fresh episode and
- 7:48Speaker 4: it's gonna be a really good one. So keep an
- 7:50Speaker 4: eye out for that. See you guys shortly. Goodbye.
- 7:56Speaker 3: So you brought up the wanting to get upgraded to
- 7:59Speaker 3: the first plass list.
- 8:01Speaker 4: Yeah, I've just been having like a mental battle with
- 8:03Speaker 4: myself for the last forty eight hours.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I know the text you've been sending us are like,
- 8:08Speaker 1: I can't fucking do this anymore, texting a texting Dave.
- 8:11Speaker 1: He kept on saying he's going to text Dave, and
- 8:13Speaker 1: you were dead like, there's not a joke, like.
- 8:15Speaker 3: Don't don't do that.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Well I decided not to.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yeah, don't do it.
- 8:20Speaker 6: It was.
- 8:20Speaker 1: It'll still get to his desk because this has made
- 8:23Speaker 1: enough of.
- 8:23Speaker 3: You've really caused quite a well you know what it was,
- 8:27Speaker 3: and now you're going to get it all removed for
- 8:28Speaker 3: all of them.
- 8:29Speaker 1: You're going to fuck up the block you're you're making cold.
- 8:32Speaker 4: There's a chance that I'm willing to take.
- 8:34Speaker 3: And if you do that, then Ron and I are
- 8:37Speaker 3: going to come over at ten in the morning when
- 8:38Speaker 3: you're fast asleep, and we are going to use pillowcases
- 8:42Speaker 3: filled with soap bars and beat your legs. I'm going
- 8:46Speaker 3: to fuck up your I'm going to fuck up your
- 8:49Speaker 3: entire system, your game.
- 8:50Speaker 4: You wouldn't even know how.
- 8:52Speaker 3: Oh, I'm pretty sure.
- 8:55Speaker 4: Yeah, true, I would use water. That whole thing is fried.
- 8:59Speaker 3: The Louisville Slugger seems like a pretty useful tool.
- 9:04Speaker 4: True, true, it would, it would explode. You're real, You're
- 9:08Speaker 4: right about that. The PCs are extremely delicate.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Well, it's not gonna be just me and Francis. If
- 9:12Speaker 1: you fuck up this this list, it's gonna be you're
- 9:15Speaker 1: gonna have Rigs on your ass. You're gonna have Frand on.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Your Oh, I'm not trying to fuck up the first
- 9:19Speaker 4: class list. You are, though, I'm not trying to get
- 9:22Speaker 4: you guys removed from them. But you don't care if
- 9:24Speaker 4: I want my boys up front, You don't.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Care if we're not up front, though, you if we
- 9:28Speaker 1: stop being up front, then it's not gonna You're gonna
- 9:30Speaker 1: be like, well, I tried. I tried to get me
- 9:32Speaker 1: up front, and even if we're collateral, you don't care.
- 9:35Speaker 4: If he said, if Dave said like you're you can't
- 9:39Speaker 4: go up front, or like, if there was some sort
- 9:41Speaker 4: of trade off where it was like you guys are me,
- 9:44Speaker 4: I would say let them sit.
- 9:45Speaker 3: Up for But that's not how that would ever go.
- 9:47Speaker 4: Well, I'm obviously yeah, and me talking about this is
- 9:51Speaker 4: not gonna get you guys removed from first class.
- 9:54Speaker 1: You really never know, because even GAVs was downstairs, He's like,
- 9:57Speaker 1: your boy was first class? Yeah?
- 10:00Speaker 4: Did you say?
- 10:01Speaker 3: Yes? Yeah?
- 10:02Speaker 1: And yes.
- 10:03Speaker 4: I'm not saying I have to fly first class every flight.
- 10:05Speaker 4: I'm not like, I obviously get the first class list thing.
- 10:08Speaker 4: I'm only saying because you guys are always talking about
- 10:10Speaker 4: the first class list.
- 10:11Speaker 3: No we're not. I don't the people on the first
- 10:15Speaker 3: class list don't talk about it. That's the first rule.
- 10:18Speaker 4: Well someone's class list, someone's talking about the first class.
- 10:21Speaker 3: Second, you asked us the question, at which point we
- 10:24Speaker 3: didn't feel that we could lie because we are proud
- 10:27Speaker 3: card carrying members of the first class list.
- 10:29Speaker 4: Of course, look flying to Chicago regardless.
- 10:35Speaker 3: May I just may I just say the reason that
- 10:37Speaker 3: I was not on it, And then Riggs advocated for
- 10:41Speaker 3: me to be because we were now flying to Hawaii
- 10:45Speaker 3: and places like fucking that's a twelve hour flight.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Oh, he just wanted you to see what it was
- 10:52Speaker 1: like up there on a flight to Hawaii. I mean,
- 10:54Speaker 1: there's like it's a lou album.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I started going with four plays, so often, and it
- 11:00Speaker 3: makes so much money for the company that to add
- 11:04Speaker 3: me was a wonderful gesture for which I was appreciative.
- 11:06Speaker 3: But I don't. I don't think I like complained or
- 11:09Speaker 3: even asked.
- 11:10Speaker 4: Yeah, but I'm not. I I think you guys should
- 11:13Speaker 4: be on the list like I don't. You don't need
- 11:15Speaker 4: to convince me. I'm I'm I'm screaming add Francis to
- 11:19Speaker 4: the list. If if you weren't on it, you know
- 11:21Speaker 4: I would die for that list.
- 11:22Speaker 3: I'm a little worried right now about my spot on
- 11:24Speaker 3: the list.
- 11:25Speaker 4: Well, you got to stop thinking so much about your
- 11:27Speaker 4: spot and think about my spot that doesn't exist on them.
- 11:31Speaker 3: You got to stop thinking about shaking the house of
- 11:33Speaker 3: cards on which I'm shaking.
- 11:35Speaker 4: I'm shaking the cards.
- 11:36Speaker 3: This is a very uh. This list needs to be
- 11:41Speaker 3: thought of as a very small list, And if you
- 11:44Speaker 3: want to be part of that list, there's a right
- 11:46Speaker 3: way and a wrong way to go about it. Yeah.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Look, just because you don't want to ride the train
- 11:50Speaker 1: to Chicago with a bindle on a stick eating at
- 11:52Speaker 1: can of beans, don't fuck up our good situation of
- 11:55Speaker 1: being able to be at the front of the plane
- 11:56Speaker 1: where there's a luau happening on the way to.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Of course correct, I'm fine with how much like I'm
- 12:02Speaker 4: I'm I'm okay. Do you remember when it's the principle?
- 12:06Speaker 3: Do you when I do you remember when.
- 12:08Speaker 4: It's that's what it is?
- 12:10Speaker 3: Do you remember when I told you guys what I
- 12:12Speaker 3: make and then later that day you text group chat
- 12:16Speaker 3: and said, Hey, Roan, do you think that France is
- 12:20Speaker 3: making X is normal for the company?
- 12:23Speaker 4: Intended I send it to you, texted me, and he
- 12:29Speaker 4: was like, meant to send it to round.
- 12:31Speaker 3: He's like, dude, do you think that him making that
- 12:33Speaker 3: amount of money is like?
- 12:35Speaker 4: And I think the way I phrased it, I was like,
- 12:36Speaker 4: is that crazy? Or is that how much like everyone's making?
- 12:40Speaker 4: And then you said and then you unsented and then
- 12:42Speaker 4: you replied and you said and you said, it is crazy?
- 12:50Speaker 3: Oh man?
- 12:51Speaker 4: Well, though, like in terms of like texts that like
- 12:55Speaker 4: the like texting about someone else's salary and sending it
- 12:59Speaker 4: to that person, really like that was like best case
- 13:02Speaker 4: scenario what I could have been saying.
- 13:04Speaker 3: Yeah, if you'd been like, like you can, Francis definitely
- 13:08Speaker 3: doesn't serve making that he's making that I should make this. Yeah,
- 13:13Speaker 3: the big move that was so funny. I shared it
- 13:19Speaker 3: immediately with UH, well, okay, so we can I have
- 13:24Speaker 3: a I have a pivot for us. Yeah, I feel
- 13:26Speaker 3: like we've beaten this horse into twitching.
- 13:30Speaker 4: We'll glue that up to the first five minutes. Hello everybody,

- 16:26Speaker 4: none of that on game time. I was just looking
- 16:29Speaker 4: at tickets for the Patriots actually around Thanksgiving, and yeah,
- 16:35Speaker 4: I'm seeing some great deals attached on game time and
- 16:39Speaker 4: I saw an amazing game time deal with great seats.

- 18:33Speaker 3: Okay, speaking of principles, I watched a robbery yesterday. Oh yes,
- 18:38Speaker 3: I watched a robbery.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Use that was I mean, it was too good to
- 18:43Speaker 4: not tell.
- 18:44Speaker 3: I texted the guys, I go, I just witnessed a robbery,
- 18:47Speaker 3: and Harry goes, what my my salaries and.
- 18:50Speaker 4: What you finally read my contract?
- 18:51Speaker 3: That's what it was.
- 18:58Speaker 4: Tell us about the robbery.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Very app Yeah, we were Actually you are.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Just the king of contradictions because you're like, I'm happy
- 19:05Speaker 3: with what I'm paid I and then you're like, my
- 19:08Speaker 3: st my contract.
- 19:09Speaker 1: That was well timed, it was, But that was funny
- 19:12Speaker 1: that we were so wrapped up in Sassa's like hotel
- 19:15Speaker 1: situation that you like, we really glossed over the robbery
- 19:19Speaker 1: in that conversation. And I'm glad that we're here today.
- 19:22Speaker 3: No, it it it was okay. So I was getting
- 19:26Speaker 3: on it. I was on a city bike. I was
- 19:27Speaker 3: on an e bike. That's important. Uh. In coming out
- 19:30Speaker 3: of Dumbo, I was going under the Manhattan Bridge Ron
- 19:33Speaker 3: right about to.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Turn left onto the loop that he loop correct.
- 19:37Speaker 3: Right about to go, and I looked to my left
- 19:39Speaker 3: because I heard like a bike clatter to the ground,
- 19:43Speaker 3: and I saw a woman, uh, who had just like
- 19:48Speaker 3: kind of not not quite She had sort of jumped
- 19:51Speaker 3: off her bike and her bike had crashed to the ground,
- 19:54Speaker 3: but she was like stumbling out of it. And a
- 19:58Speaker 3: guy there were three young guys, call them teens to
- 20:03Speaker 3: like twenty fifteen to twenty year olds on e bikes,
- 20:08Speaker 3: and one of them the reason she had fallen was
- 20:10Speaker 3: that he had looped his arm, threw her shoulder bag
- 20:15Speaker 3: and ripped it off of her arm as she was biking,
- 20:19Speaker 3: and he had driven past her taken her bag, and
- 20:21Speaker 3: then he was swerving into traffic and a car slammed
- 20:25Speaker 3: on the brakes to not hit him. And at first
- 20:27Speaker 3: my mind didn't quite understand what I had seen. I
- 20:30Speaker 3: was like, did they just crash? What's going on here?
- 20:33Speaker 3: But he had grabbed her bag.
- 20:35Speaker 1: What the fuck?
- 20:36Speaker 3: And now they were kicking off and she was freaking out.
- 20:41Speaker 3: She started it took her a second to realize what
- 20:42Speaker 3: had happened. But she saw them biking away with her bag,
- 20:45Speaker 3: and she grabbed her bike and thought about chasing after them.
- 20:50Speaker 3: And when I saw her do that, I turned, Oh, yeah,
- 20:55Speaker 3: I started, that's your dream. I have been thinking about
- 21:02Speaker 3: this moment.
- 21:04Speaker 1: Some hyans stop on hand.
- 21:10Speaker 3: This moment has been in my dreams for fucking years.
- 21:18Speaker 3: And I talk about it. It is you want to
- 21:21Speaker 3: talk the warpath workout. This is why we're doing, this
- 21:26Speaker 3: is why we train. And I started after them and
- 21:31Speaker 3: they were probably like one hundred and fifty yards ahead
- 21:35Speaker 3: of me.
- 21:35Speaker 4: What kind of gear were they working?
- 21:37Speaker 3: They're just on city bike e bikes too. Okay, so
- 21:39Speaker 3: I'm on an e.
- 21:40Speaker 1: Bike there I all tap out.
- 21:42Speaker 4: It's like they hold you back a little bit.
- 21:44Speaker 1: Yeah, there's a government.
- 21:45Speaker 3: No, but dude, I can beat anybody. Not anybody, but
- 21:50Speaker 3: I could beat I could overtake them. But like my
- 21:52Speaker 3: city bike four times a day. Yeah, the way rone
- 21:57Speaker 3: does in and out of traffic, I'm a lunatic and
- 21:59Speaker 3: I'm I'm I'm in shape. Yeah, and I can kick
- 22:03Speaker 3: that thing into fucking overdrive.
- 22:04Speaker 1: You'll hit the twenty five miles an hour fast.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I would have caught them. I would have caught them.
- 22:09Speaker 4: Happened What happened?
- 22:10Speaker 3: As I was going, I realized there's four of them
- 22:16Speaker 3: and there's just me, and they might have weapons, and.
- 22:22Speaker 1: That's to your mandamatory minimum in New York.
- 22:24Speaker 3: I just said, I don't think this is the right
- 22:30Speaker 3: thing for me to do as far as risk.
- 22:33Speaker 4: So had you been were you already moving?
- 22:36Speaker 3: I was going, I hadn't gone quite through the intersection.
- 22:39Speaker 4: No, okay, no, because I know once you hit max
- 22:42Speaker 4: speed it's tough too.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Then I would have been committed. Yeah, but I waffled.
- 22:49Speaker 3: And let me tell you something, I have been sick
- 22:52Speaker 3: to my stomach for twenty four hours. I'm not making
- 22:58Speaker 3: a joke. I believe I haven't stopped thinking about it
- 23:01Speaker 3: for more than five seconds. I fucking hate myself.
- 23:04Speaker 1: You're like the guy outside the fight and saving Private
- 23:07Speaker 1: Ryan on the staircase.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Yes, crying crying? Yeah, Upham, Upham.
- 23:12Speaker 1: Is his name, Upham. You're you're basically up them.
- 23:15Speaker 3: The guy's getting stabbed in the throat and he's just
- 23:18Speaker 3: right there, and he could have done something and.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Get a gun. Yeah, he could have easily shot him.
- 23:22Speaker 1: I have two guns. I could have caught these guys.
- 23:24Speaker 1: But there were four of them and they had just
- 23:27Speaker 1: robbed his woman. And I thought, and they're going towards
- 23:30Speaker 1: I mean, they go up that way. There's Farragut houses
- 23:33Speaker 1: and then there's another project they.
- 23:35Speaker 3: Were but they were going they were going towards like
- 23:38Speaker 3: Williamsburg basically do you know the Wegmans. Yeah, that's how
- 23:45Speaker 3: they were going. They were going down that way past
- 23:47Speaker 3: the Wegmans and then like whatever along that way.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Well, that's towards Erica's new office.
- 23:53Speaker 3: Does she work there at.
- 23:54Speaker 1: The uh at? Her office is in that that big
- 23:58Speaker 1: facility behind the Wegmans.
- 24:00Speaker 3: She's selling stolen goods common thugs.
- 24:06Speaker 4: She doesn't work at barstool anymore.
- 24:09Speaker 3: That's why I am texting her.
- 24:12Speaker 1: I've been asking her for first class tickets. She said,
- 24:15Speaker 1: block this number.
- 24:18Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I I was actually unsettling that's happening in that area.
- 24:24Speaker 3: I'm so unhappy with myself.
- 24:27Speaker 4: The drive by perse.
- 24:30Speaker 1: That's like a that almost that's like ninety style.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I've never seen it before.
- 24:34Speaker 4: That happened in Paris.
- 24:35Speaker 3: I know it's like a pickpocket. She I remember watching
- 24:41Speaker 3: the woman put her head in her hands like this,
- 24:44Speaker 3: what does she look like she had dark hair? She
- 24:46Speaker 3: was probably like forty five. There's nothing she could get
- 24:50Speaker 3: n her. No, I was past her, and then I said,
- 24:55Speaker 3: don't don't die for this woman's shoulder back. What all
- 25:00Speaker 3: I know? There's nothing in it. It could have just
- 25:01Speaker 3: been empty maybe of laptop. Probably she's gonna she's gonna
- 25:07Speaker 3: file it as a police report. Maybe it's insured. I
- 25:09Speaker 3: don't know.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I'm never gonna do that police report. The NYPD will
- 25:13Speaker 1: be there in four days.
- 25:15Speaker 3: So then I turned and it's the shame set in,
- 25:22Speaker 3: and I spent the rest of the evening thinking about
- 25:25Speaker 3: what I should have done.
- 25:26Speaker 1: You're like Liam Neeson, you're like any black past I
- 25:30Speaker 1: would have beat up any blacks.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I never said that they were black.
- 25:36Speaker 1: Liam Neeson said that in that in his story.
- 25:38Speaker 3: But I'm not gonna say they were. Okay, maybe we
- 25:44Speaker 3: should cut that.
- 25:46Speaker 4: No, no, no, no, that's hilarious.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Well whatever, their race didn't matter. Let's say they were
- 25:51Speaker 3: one of each color of the race. She was black too, hmm,
- 25:57Speaker 3: whatever you're picturing. Yeah, So so what I should have done,
- 26:02Speaker 3: this to me is the right way to have handled it.
- 26:05Speaker 3: I should have followed them from a distance, casually but
- 26:08Speaker 3: at speed keeping up. I should have called the police
- 26:12Speaker 3: from my cellphone and followed them and said this is
- 26:15Speaker 3: where we are. I just watched this robbery happen. I'm
- 26:18Speaker 3: following them. Send cars and then let the cops come
- 26:23Speaker 3: and cars.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Send men, many men, Send many, many many men.
- 26:28Speaker 3: I need backup now we probably only needed one, maybe two.
- 26:34Speaker 4: Send everyone you have southron Water Street.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I got eyes on four Purpse seventeen, fifteen years old.
- 26:41Speaker 4: My dad kind off. My dad was driving behind someone
- 26:47Speaker 4: in Massa, Chusetts who was like hammered, and he called
- 26:49Speaker 4: the cops and then followed them until they pulled over.
- 26:53Speaker 1: And then the savest place to be is in the
- 26:55Speaker 1: blind spot of the.
- 26:56Speaker 4: Bull peeled out, Oh yeah, of course, yeah.
- 26:58Speaker 1: Right behind. I can't do anything.
- 27:02Speaker 4: You'll never hit traffic. If you're behind a drunk driver,
- 27:05Speaker 4: just clear in the path.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Just stay tight behind him.
- 27:10Speaker 3: If I had fully been ready for war, if what
- 27:16Speaker 3: if you were off bike? No, then what I couldn't
- 27:19Speaker 3: have done anything?
- 27:20Speaker 1: What if they were on foot?
- 27:21Speaker 3: And if they were on foot.
- 27:23Speaker 4: What if they were on bike and you were on
- 27:24Speaker 4: foot but you were right by when it happened?
- 27:26Speaker 3: Well I don't, I mean no, Well, this is what
- 27:29Speaker 3: I was planning would have This is what I would
- 27:31Speaker 3: have done if I had had, if I had been
- 27:34Speaker 3: ready for war. Yeah, but I still have like two
- 27:37Speaker 3: more weeks left on this workout plan, so I'm not
- 27:40Speaker 3: quite there. But try that ship in two weeks, motherfuckers. Okay,
- 27:50Speaker 3: So what I would have done is I would have
- 27:53Speaker 3: come up behind them, and I wouldn't have like indicated
- 27:56Speaker 3: that I was I had seen what had happened. Maybe
- 28:00Speaker 3: they'd be a little wondering why I was biking so fast,
- 28:03Speaker 3: But I think that they got far enough away and
- 28:05Speaker 3: then they like slowed down. So I would have followed
- 28:08Speaker 3: them and come up behind. And I think that what
- 28:12Speaker 3: I would have done is, I mean the first guy,
- 28:16Speaker 3: I would have just pushed him over.
- 28:17Speaker 4: Yeah, clean knockout, Like just.
- 28:19Speaker 3: Push him off the bike. Now he's not really a
- 28:22Speaker 3: problem for a little bit. Second guy I had in
- 28:26Speaker 3: my bag, I had a water bottle. I would have
- 28:28Speaker 3: taken that out and I would have shoved it in
- 28:30Speaker 3: the spokes of his back wheel, watched him flip over.
- 28:33Speaker 3: He's no longer a problem.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Third guy, this is like very Indiana Jones on a horse.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Keanu Reeves also famously in john Wick there was a
- 28:44Speaker 3: scene where he was on a horse. Yeah, and there
- 28:47Speaker 3: were motorcycles and he was like fighting.
- 28:49Speaker 4: It was to get I gotta watch all those I
- 28:51Speaker 4: haven't seen them all. I've only seen like, I don't know.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I don't know what I would have done with the
- 28:55Speaker 4: third guy. Maybe he would have bugged out because he
- 28:56Speaker 4: realizes I'm a fucking problem by now because I've taken out.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Yeah, he would have been next to him, and he
- 29:01Speaker 1: would have You could have like run him into something.
- 29:03Speaker 3: And what about four four I'm jumping off my bike
- 29:06Speaker 3: and tackling. Yeah, it's it's going to the floor.
- 29:09Speaker 1: You're mounting his bike. Yeah, you're like hanging on as
- 29:11Speaker 1: he's like pedaling.
- 29:12Speaker 3: I would have I would have brought him to the ground.
- 29:14Speaker 4: I think you almost you jump onto his handlebars.
- 29:18Speaker 3: No, I'm I'm coming up behind him. He's terrified now
- 29:21Speaker 3: because he's no longer has he no longer has the bogies,
- 29:25Speaker 3: but to surround him. Yeah, and I I'm jumping from
- 29:29Speaker 3: my bike onto his shoulders and ripping him to the ground. Yeah.
- 29:33Speaker 3: I like that, And I went through that whole scenario
- 29:37Speaker 3: in my head. I also had this thought I was
- 29:40Speaker 3: wearing my stiffest pair of blue jeans, and I thought
- 29:44Speaker 3: these are not broken in enough for me to take
- 29:47Speaker 3: on the full chase pursuit that I'm about to.
- 29:51Speaker 1: That said, though, if you got shot in that Japanese denim,
- 29:54Speaker 1: the bullet would probably speech.
- 29:57Speaker 3: It would have looked like speech to look like a nickel.
- 30:02Speaker 1: So Roosevelt who got shot in this speech did in
- 30:06Speaker 1: one of them, Someone had like a speech in their
- 30:08Speaker 1: front pocket and someone tried to shoot them, but the
- 30:10Speaker 1: speech was so thick that it liked.
- 30:12Speaker 3: I know what you're talking about. I have heard that.
- 30:16Speaker 3: There's also famously uh Chamberlain Neville, well not was it
- 30:21Speaker 3: Chamberlain at Gettysburg. He had his sword right here and
- 30:27Speaker 3: the bullet it was a tiny you know, one of
- 30:29Speaker 3: those lieutenant swords or whatever. Yeah, and the sword got
- 30:34Speaker 3: shot and protected him. It would have gone into his heart. Yeah.
- 30:38Speaker 4: I feel like I hear a lot of stories about
- 30:39Speaker 4: that with like zippo lighters, you know, like someone have
- 30:41Speaker 4: a zippo and a bullet will bounce off. Do you
- 30:43Speaker 4: think that has to do with like the actual like
- 30:47Speaker 4: do you think bullets just weren't as strong back then
- 30:49Speaker 4: as they are now?
- 30:51Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 30:51Speaker 4: Because I feel like if you shot a zippo lighter
- 30:54Speaker 4: with like a BB gun, it would explode.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I think it's just luck. Sometimes it's just luck. Yeah yeah,
- 31:03Speaker 1: but hollow tip to a or to a zippo. Yeah, damn,
- 31:08Speaker 1: that's so. I mean, just because I know how much
- 31:11Speaker 1: you fantasize about your own heroism, that just has to
- 31:15Speaker 1: be just that's good. That's gonna you're gonna be sixty
- 31:18Speaker 1: years old.
- 31:19Speaker 3: It was it was too risky with the weapons, worry,
- 31:24Speaker 3: And I also said, look, there are things that I
- 31:28Speaker 3: know I won't be able to stop myself from doing something. Yeah,
- 31:32Speaker 3: if that woman were getting beaten up, I wouldn't have
- 31:36Speaker 3: a choice. Yeah. Yeah, but she had a shoulder bag.
- 31:40Speaker 3: It wasn't even a fucking purse, you know what I mean.
- 31:44Speaker 1: But sometimes the shoulder bags have it all.
- 31:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Maybe she had her laptop and the laptop is Look,
- 31:49Speaker 3: I don't feel good about it. I feel sick.
- 31:51Speaker 4: I feel you're not a coward. You didn't.
- 31:54Speaker 3: It's I'm proud of myself for turning. My instinct was
- 31:57Speaker 3: to turn. I turned into the lane to go, and
- 32:00Speaker 3: then I stop myself.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Yeah, it's I mean, you made this smart choice.
- 32:04Speaker 3: It's fucking cowardly, dude.
- 32:05Speaker 4: It's it is, but it's not because you're right. I mean,
- 32:07Speaker 4: you don't know who has. If you're a group of
- 32:10Speaker 4: four and you're committing robberies, there's probably one of you
- 32:13Speaker 4: has some sort of weapon.
- 32:14Speaker 3: A weapon. But I talk about this stuff all the time,
- 32:17Speaker 3: you do, and I've been waiting for this moment to
- 32:20Speaker 3: fall into my lap.
- 32:21Speaker 4: But now you know, well, you just don't know if
- 32:22Speaker 4: you're gonna give it was a test.
- 32:24Speaker 3: Do you know what that would have done for my career?
- 32:27Speaker 4: Oh well, I mean how quickly do you depends on
- 32:30Speaker 4: how it went.
- 32:31Speaker 3: It's definitely getting filmed, and if it's not, I'm going
- 32:34Speaker 3: to every bodega along the street and asking for their
- 32:37Speaker 3: for their footage.
- 32:38Speaker 1: Like the DC flight on nine to eleven. It's like
- 32:41Speaker 1: random like piecing together the.
- 32:43Speaker 3: Footage, Yes, grainy, choppy whatever, I'm getting it. I'm getting
- 32:47Speaker 3: the footage. Yeah, and I'm gonna tweet it and be
- 32:50Speaker 3: like in the same satirical sort of like a exaggerative
- 32:56Speaker 3: tone that I had when I stopped the traffic. Yeah,
- 32:59Speaker 3: like actually am a hero? Yeah. And then it's Rogan
- 33:03Speaker 3: Comedian Francis Elie tackles for bike riders to the ground.
- 33:10Speaker 1: On Jesse waters Fast.
- 33:11Speaker 4: You're about this guy. You brought this comic up in
- 33:13Speaker 4: New York. What was what was his name?
- 33:17Speaker 1: Jason Ellis the guy who guy he stops four.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Black Team.
- 33:29Speaker 3: I'll tell you what. New York. So it's a war
- 33:31Speaker 3: zone and this is why this is.
- 33:33Speaker 4: This is what I'm telling you about New York.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 33:35Speaker 1: No, but the wrong people, like the wrong people will
- 33:38Speaker 1: be tweeting about it.
- 33:39Speaker 3: Oh yeah, I'd hear the wrong people. I'd be co
- 33:42Speaker 3: opted for the wrong people.
- 33:44Speaker 4: I'd be like, like, like you have some like have
- 33:46Speaker 4: Quiggs term one of them white?
- 33:48Speaker 3: Yeah, would be like Wheedies kkk. Wheedies would want me
- 33:54Speaker 3: to be on the front of their fucking cereal box.
- 33:56Speaker 3: And I don't know, it would have been uh, it
- 33:59Speaker 3: would have been a bit boost. I think Rogan would
- 34:01Speaker 3: have had me on absolutely like that.
- 34:04Speaker 4: He would have flown his jet to your driveway, Yeah,
- 34:07Speaker 4: to you land on your street in Dumbo.
- 34:10Speaker 3: Yeah. And then I would have been I would have
- 34:13Speaker 3: done I said, I would have said the line, which
- 34:14Speaker 3: was I would have said, uh, look, I only did
- 34:17Speaker 3: I only did what anyone else would have done. And
- 34:19Speaker 3: then I'd be like, but nobody else did it, and
- 34:23Speaker 3: a lot of people saw it, and I did it?
- 34:26Speaker 1: Did other people see it?
- 34:27Speaker 3: It's like that. Yeah, it's like that Louis bit where
- 34:30Speaker 3: he like feels proud of himself for giving up his seat. Yeah,
- 34:34Speaker 3: He's like, I didn't even do it. I'm already congratulating myself.
- 34:38Speaker 3: I had this complete mix of feelings. One is when
- 34:41Speaker 3: I acknowledge the reality, I'm in full shame and disgust,
- 34:45Speaker 3: and the other is like I was close to doing
- 34:48Speaker 3: something fucking awesome, something awesome. I mean, I would have
- 34:53Speaker 3: caught him. They wouldn't have been able.
- 34:54Speaker 4: To tough circumstances, Like if they were on foot, I
- 34:57Speaker 4: believe you would have. You would have at least confes Dude.
- 35:00Speaker 3: I think I think if they're on foot, it's I'm
- 35:04Speaker 3: less likely. Weird kind of because I think that I
- 35:08Speaker 3: have an advantage on city bike.
- 35:10Speaker 4: I don't know, dude, because your city bike, it's you're
- 35:12Speaker 4: kind of turned. It's turning into like a fast and
- 35:14Speaker 4: furious scene, Like it's like you've got.
- 35:16Speaker 3: A lot of movie But again, like you can't stab
- 35:18Speaker 3: someone that easily on a city bike.
- 35:20Speaker 1: But that's also the advantage to you. You can knock
- 35:23Speaker 1: them off their city bike, right whereas if they're on foot,
- 35:25Speaker 1: it's like that's equal footing.
- 35:28Speaker 3: I mean, that's what I'm saying.
- 35:29Speaker 4: That's exactly fifteen to twenty What like, what height and
- 35:32Speaker 4: way are we talking about?
- 35:33Speaker 3: I mean the guy who took the bag was pretty tall.
- 35:35Speaker 3: He was pretty big.
- 35:36Speaker 4: Was he I jacked?
- 35:38Speaker 3: I mean, I don't know. I don't know, like I couldn't.
- 35:42Speaker 3: I didn't really size up his build again, like he
- 35:45Speaker 3: was on a bike. Dude, he took the bag and
- 35:47Speaker 3: it it totally because she like must have had it
- 35:51Speaker 3: pretty secure around her arm because it threw him off.
- 35:54Speaker 3: And then he wobbled into that it's the oncoming traffic
- 36:00Speaker 3: cleane and they're coming up.
- 36:01Speaker 1: To the uh they're getting on the bque.
- 36:06Speaker 3: But it's the other side of the median, so it's
- 36:09Speaker 3: the cars that are coming towards Stumbo, towards the Brooklyn Bridge.
- 36:13Speaker 3: And he he we wobbled right in front of like
- 36:17Speaker 3: a car who slammed on their breath and you And
- 36:21Speaker 3: that's when I heard the commotion and looked. But I
- 36:25Speaker 3: had I had seen he had he was now he
- 36:28Speaker 3: was like putting the bag around his arm and she
- 36:30Speaker 3: was picking up her bike and like freaking out.
- 36:33Speaker 1: That's kind of on the the driver of the car.
- 36:37Speaker 3: He could have done something.
- 36:38Speaker 1: He could have smoked that guy.
- 36:39Speaker 3: He could have done something, but none of us. I
- 36:41Speaker 3: don't think any of us know. Dude. It took me
- 36:43Speaker 3: like a full eight to ten seconds of course, to
- 36:48Speaker 3: go from like whoa, that was almost an accident. I
- 36:51Speaker 3: hope everyone's okay to those four guys just collaboratively stole that.
- 36:56Speaker 1: Did she say like anything like rober or something?
- 36:59Speaker 3: I couldn't I couldn't hear her because I was under
- 37:02Speaker 3: the fucking loud train bridge.
- 37:04Speaker 4: So they've got it down to it. That was they've
- 37:06Speaker 4: got a strategy.
- 37:07Speaker 1: They knew what they were for sure, like a dolphins
- 37:10Speaker 1: hunting a seal.
- 37:11Speaker 3: It's like the Japanese on Pearl Harbor, you know, with what.
- 37:16Speaker 4: They knew what they were doing.
- 37:18Speaker 1: Yes, yes, damn, that's that's spooky that that's going on
- 37:23Speaker 1: over there.
- 37:25Speaker 3: Yeah. But if it is, if it is, it means.
- 37:30Speaker 1: We got another chance.
- 37:31Speaker 3: We can. Well what we should do, camp out?
- 37:36Speaker 1: We should shout out to Redford.
- 37:38Speaker 4: I like that we.
- 37:40Speaker 3: Should put a shoulder bag on Harry because he looks
- 37:42Speaker 3: like an easy mark.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, have you like wobbling on a bike and
- 37:47Speaker 1: then we swoop in, but with like have.
- 37:50Speaker 3: Like you could also just have like a few loose
- 37:52Speaker 3: hundred dollars bills poking out the top of it.
- 37:54Speaker 1: But they're actually covered in ship or like a die
- 37:58Speaker 1: that explodes that they can't run off of their hands,
- 38:01Speaker 1: a pink dye.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Well we could do that, or we could just set
- 38:04Speaker 3: it up so that we can take them down.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Is robbery something that you need to be worried about
- 38:09Speaker 4: in New York because it's like it's by far the
- 38:12Speaker 4: most realistic crime that could happen to you.
- 38:15Speaker 1: If if if robberies are back in New York, that's
- 38:18Speaker 1: a problem. Yeah, like if robberies, I don't like that
- 38:21Speaker 1: at all, Like if people are robbing that's like that
- 38:24Speaker 1: is like early nineties, late eighties, Like yeah, lawless New York.
- 38:29Speaker 4: I mean that story isn't like I don't even like
- 38:32Speaker 4: I can't even imagine being on a bike and all
- 38:35Speaker 4: of a sudden, it's like you're getting you're getting boxed in,
- 38:40Speaker 4: Like what do they have? What do they have? Two
- 38:41Speaker 4: and one in front, one behind, one on the side.
- 38:46Speaker 3: So what I like it. It looked I didn't see
- 38:49Speaker 3: the full the I didn't see him take it, yeah,
- 38:54Speaker 3: but I saw it like must one second after Yeah,
- 38:58Speaker 3: And it looked as as though he had just like
- 39:04Speaker 3: led the charge and come up. I mean, I'm sure
- 39:06Speaker 3: she was just like, was she on a knee bike biking? Yeah,
- 39:10Speaker 3: slowly or maybe even waiting at the fucking corner for
- 39:14Speaker 3: the light to change so that she could go across
- 39:17Speaker 3: to the Brooklyn to the Manhattan Bridge. And she was
- 39:21Speaker 3: right there and he came by. They spotted her, and
- 39:25Speaker 3: he took it. Good.
- 39:26Speaker 1: God.
- 39:26Speaker 3: But I don't know, I mean, I don't know what
- 39:27Speaker 3: the other three were doing. I think they were all
- 39:29Speaker 3: just there, like maybe in the event that someone like
- 39:32Speaker 3: me was trying to be a fucking hero.
- 39:34Speaker 1: That's you know, I'm sure they're not even thinking of that,
- 39:37Speaker 1: but they're probably just so. I mean, people just don't
- 39:40Speaker 1: get locked up for shit anymore.
- 39:43Speaker 3: I don't care. I don't care necessarily like what happens
- 39:46Speaker 3: to those guys. I just would have felt really good
- 39:49Speaker 3: returning the bag to that woman that would have been
- 39:52Speaker 3: fucking sick.
- 39:52Speaker 4: Yeah, showing up at her doorstep, yeah, raining.
- 40:00Speaker 3: Some tea.
- 40:02Speaker 1: She's like, can you help me get this up the
- 40:04Speaker 1: stairs to.
- 40:06Speaker 3: My husband was was was killed in Afghanistan. I keep
- 40:10Speaker 3: a note, the last note from him, sown into the
- 40:12Speaker 3: pocket of his bag.
- 40:14Speaker 1: Well, that's the dream. There's something sentimental that you can
- 40:17Speaker 1: read his husband.
- 40:19Speaker 3: And then I'm like, I found him too. And then
- 40:28Speaker 3: I see a little kid poke his head out and
- 40:30Speaker 3: I'm like, who's that And they're like, oh, that's Charlie.
- 40:32Speaker 3: He's named after his father. I'm like, hey, sport, I.
- 40:37Speaker 4: Wanted you to meet your dad.
- 40:39Speaker 3: How do how'd you feel about having a new dad.
- 40:43Speaker 1: Second dad? Oh?
- 40:46Speaker 3: Fuck, dude, I know.
- 40:48Speaker 1: I know because anybody I feel the desire for a
- 40:54Speaker 1: heroic act, Like I used to fantasize about like a
- 40:57Speaker 1: small shark attacking somebody and like very small shark, but
- 41:01Speaker 1: you like punch the shark, and like you're a hero
- 41:04Speaker 1: obviously not a big shark, but like you, you fantasize
- 41:07Speaker 1: about it. I know how much that meant to you.
- 41:10Speaker 3: I'm dude.
- 41:11Speaker 4: I genuinely want to say that we've had this comp
- 41:14Speaker 4: We've had a conversation about it within the last month
- 41:18Speaker 4: two months.
- 41:19Speaker 3: I'll fully say it is not so much the injustice
- 41:23Speaker 3: of watching a victim lose her valuable to a group
- 41:28Speaker 3: of robbers, as it is me missing the opportunity to
- 41:32Speaker 3: do something I have been wanting to do in my dreams.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Yeah, and as you're like in almost the best shape
- 41:38Speaker 1: that you've been in.
- 41:38Speaker 3: Dude, I'm truly like one and a half weeks away
- 41:42Speaker 3: from fucking I don't even I think those guys see
- 41:46Speaker 3: me near that woman and they're not even taking the
- 41:48Speaker 3: back you think, yeah.
- 41:50Speaker 1: Here, mister, yeah, oh sorry, I thought she dropped it.
- 41:54Speaker 3: I think I think it's like I think it's like
- 41:56Speaker 3: in that opening scene in the Dark Night when when
- 41:59Speaker 3: they he's like, I don't like it tonight.
- 42:01Speaker 4: Oh yeah, not tonight, man, I don't like it tonight.
- 42:07Speaker 4: Francis Is he might be he might be around.
- 42:12Speaker 3: You got a better chance of seeing him than.
- 42:17Speaker 4: Is that from the from.
- 42:20Speaker 3: It's got to be the Dark Knight and not Dark
- 42:21Speaker 3: Knight Rises, because Dark Knight Rises he's been out of
- 42:23Speaker 3: the commission forever when it starts. But yeah, Dark.
- 42:26Speaker 4: Knights definitely, it's Dark Knight.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Watch that wat I rewatched both that and Dark Knight Rises, and.
- 42:36Speaker 1: Back to back.
- 42:37Speaker 4: Dark Knight Rises is like, I honestly I watched that
- 42:41Speaker 4: back to back. I think it's better if stand alone.
- 42:45Speaker 4: The Dark Knight is way better.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Dark Knight is the best by far. But don't sleep
- 42:52Speaker 3: on by the way Batman begins, all three are fucking crazy.
- 42:57Speaker 1: I don't think i've seen that movie agains.
- 43:01Speaker 4: I just know it's the dude with the sand.
- 43:03Speaker 1: That's Liam Neeson. That's that.
- 43:07Speaker 3: Really, it's he's not the he's not the scarecrow, I see.
- 43:13Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I was sinking a scarecrow scarecrows in the
- 43:17Speaker 4: beginning of The Dark Night.
- 43:18Speaker 3: That's Killian Murphy. Yes, it's pretty cool, pretty cool role
- 43:23Speaker 3: for him. Yeah, good ass roll.
- 43:26Speaker 1: And then he becomes who goes on to be Oppenheimer.
- 43:28Speaker 4: Yeah, that's the same where it means like all the
- 43:32Speaker 4: fake Batman's are there.
- 43:33Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'm not wearing hockey. What makes you so special?
- 43:40Speaker 4: What's the difference between oz.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I'm not wearing hockey? All right, A little much with
- 43:46Speaker 1: the voice.
- 43:48Speaker 3: No guns, just bends the gun.
- 43:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I know that that rule is always weird's rule.
- 43:55Speaker 3: That's not him, that's more like it. Oh my god,
- 44:01Speaker 3: what a movie.
- 44:02Speaker 4: That movie is just.
- 44:04Speaker 3: I think if I had watched that like an hour
- 44:07Speaker 3: before I saw this I'm going after them.
- 44:10Speaker 4: It all depends on the movie you watched the night before.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Yeah, you probably watched like Eternal Sunshine on the Spotless
- 44:15Speaker 1: Mind the night before.
- 44:17Speaker 3: I think, I think. I think what I watched was
- 44:19Speaker 3: Pay It Forward, where Haley Joel Osmond gets stabbed at
- 44:23Speaker 3: the school. Yeah, for trying to stand up to the bullies.
- 44:27Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. I better not that.
- 44:31Speaker 3: That'll end my movement. Yeah, I have so much more
- 44:35Speaker 3: work to do.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Maybe you saved your own life by not getting after them.
- 44:38Speaker 3: I suppose that's a good way to think about it.
- 44:40Speaker 1: Maybe you maybe imagine you hear a story about like
- 44:43Speaker 1: these these four kids like doing another attack on somebody.
- 44:48Speaker 1: They're all armed to the teeth.
- 44:50Speaker 3: I wonder I want to look it up, did you?
- 44:52Speaker 3: I want to lock it up.
- 44:53Speaker 4: You'll never find it.
- 44:55Speaker 3: Do you don't think there's like a news story?
- 44:56Speaker 1: God in years, seriously, like the police report is not
- 45:00Speaker 1: getting dude.
- 45:01Speaker 4: There was a car crash. I was coming back from
- 45:03Speaker 4: La Guardia. This was I think it was when I
- 45:06Speaker 4: was in Wyoming and I was coming home and I
- 45:08Speaker 4: was driving. I was crossing that whatever the bridge. I
- 45:11Speaker 4: don't know what the bridges are, but I was crossing
- 45:13Speaker 4: one of the bridges. There was a car that was
- 45:16Speaker 4: perpendicular to the flow of traffic on the bridge, like
- 45:20Speaker 4: smashed into the side of the bridge, air bags everywhere.
- 45:24Speaker 4: There was a cop like two cars in front of me,
- 45:27Speaker 4: just goes right around driving. And then I was like
- 45:30Speaker 4: I looked it up because I was like, I wonder
- 45:32Speaker 4: if anyone like that was a pretty bad accident, Like
- 45:34Speaker 4: I wonder if there's anything about it, not not even
- 45:36Speaker 4: like a tweet. It's in New York. It's just too big.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the That's a nice.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Thing about like in the suburbs, there's a siren. If
- 45:46Speaker 4: a siren is going off, you can figure out where
- 45:49Speaker 4: they're going. It's all accessible.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it is crazy. You were like a vacation town
- 45:56Speaker 1: or something like that. Like you're getting pressed for like
- 45:59Speaker 1: wearing your sand dude.
- 46:00Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 46:00Speaker 1: Yeah, nothing, you're not seeing anything.
- 46:04Speaker 3: I mean, unfortunately, it's like there were a million crimes yesterday.
- 46:08Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 46:09Speaker 3: It's not good.
- 46:10Speaker 1: Yeah, if we're back to nineties New York, I might
- 46:14Speaker 1: be joining New Upstate. Yeah, there were.
- 46:19Speaker 4: Too with your gun on the hip.
- 46:21Speaker 1: There were like twenty eight hundred murders a year in
- 46:24Speaker 1: like nineteen ninety four. Now there's like two hundred.
- 46:26Speaker 3: And eighty seventies. The seventies were really bad. Yeah, the seventies,
- 46:30Speaker 3: like going into Times Square, it was like, you're getting wrong?
- 46:35Speaker 1: What was that? There's that? Uh that the documentary Paris
- 46:39Speaker 1: is Burning? You ever watched that? About like the drag
- 46:41Speaker 1: shows and like the seventies, but just like the footage
- 46:43Speaker 1: of them outside, it's just kids that are like fourteen,
- 46:46Speaker 1: like I don't have a dad. I don't have a
- 46:50Speaker 1: mom and dad.
- 46:52Speaker 3: Damn, Oh, here's something cool. I tied myself a bunch
- 46:57Speaker 3: of flies. Did you really check these out? No? I
- 47:01Speaker 3: did a bunch of I've got some Jack Daniels, some roses,
- 47:05Speaker 3: great roses, green tags, Frenchies, rainbow Warriors, quill body burdigans,
- 47:12Speaker 3: solid bugs. Those took me a while. Uh, scuds, sexy
- 47:16Speaker 3: Waltz worms, Waltz worms, CDC waltsworms, caddies, eggs, flying ants,
- 47:21Speaker 3: chubby chernobyls, Jack Brown original patterns.
- 47:25Speaker 1: You got the chubby chernobs.
- 47:27Speaker 4: They're caddis.
- 47:30Speaker 3: Plural caddies.
- 47:33Speaker 1: Yeah, let me get a look at those.
- 47:35Speaker 4: I actually I was, I actually believed you at first.
- 47:39Speaker 4: I was like I could I could see you getting
- 47:40Speaker 4: into it.
- 47:41Speaker 3: Shout out Jack Brown for these awesome hand tie flies.
- 47:45Speaker 3: Are great. Those are sick right, really well done on
- 47:50Speaker 3: the river.
- 47:52Speaker 4: I'm going out this weekend.
- 47:54Speaker 3: And he says, don't don't let Sask guilt you into
- 47:56Speaker 3: giving him any of these flies.
- 47:58Speaker 4: He said that, Yeah, I won't take him, but I
- 48:01Speaker 4: am going to take a closer look.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Pretty cool, right, it is very cool.
- 48:05Speaker 1: That's a that's a great skill set.
- 48:07Speaker 3: The hed I'm honing in on New Zealand.
- 48:11Speaker 4: Yeah, have you started planning, started looking at it a
- 48:14Speaker 4: little bit, any ideas on what you're going to do.
- 48:16Speaker 3: I think I want to spend more time on the
- 48:18Speaker 3: South Island than the North Island, don't I.
- 48:21Speaker 4: Don't know enough about it.
- 48:22Speaker 3: So basically, like four fifths of the population lives on
- 48:25Speaker 3: the North Island. That's where Auckland is. That's where like
- 48:28Speaker 3: the major whatever. It's a little bit more tropical up there.
- 48:32Speaker 3: And then on the South Island it's lakes and mountains
- 48:36Speaker 3: and that's where all the like really cool fly fishing is. Yeah,
- 48:40Speaker 3: you can go see Mount Doom.
- 48:41Speaker 4: This is on the south the.
- 48:43Speaker 3: South Island, I think is is on the Mount Doom
- 48:45Speaker 3: has the South island and just a lot of cool,
- 48:49Speaker 3: like really cool outdoor activities and stuff. By the way,
- 48:51Speaker 3: someone sent me Ryan Rossillo did this like travel podcast
- 48:57Speaker 3: of him going at Christmas by himself to New Zealand.
- 49:01Speaker 3: To New Zealand. First of all, dude, I'm not that
- 49:04Speaker 3: familiar with Ryan Roscilla's work.
- 49:07Speaker 1: He's the man.
- 49:08Speaker 3: Holy shit, that is the voice of God.
- 49:13Speaker 1: How chocolate his voices.
- 49:14Speaker 3: His voice is incredible. I think he's speaking mostly just
- 49:19Speaker 3: off the cuff. He doesn't miss a word. It's as
- 49:23Speaker 3: if it's as if you're reading listening to an e book. Yeah,
- 49:26Speaker 3: his just it's just a travel recap of his trip.
- 49:30Speaker 3: He's doing it while he's there. It's a travel log
- 49:33Speaker 3: of a of a podcast. Is incredible. He's sounds like
- 49:37Speaker 3: a mixture of Tom Hanks and Morgan Freeman and yeah Fuckingborough.
- 49:42Speaker 1: He has a chocolate fondue voice. It's so nice.
- 49:45Speaker 3: He's incredibly articulate and like imaginative, and he's cool and
- 49:50Speaker 3: funny as hell, but not vulgar. I don't know, he's
- 49:53Speaker 3: just I was blown away. There is a man after
- 49:57Speaker 3: my own heart.
- 49:57Speaker 1: Oh you would love Rascilla.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Does Does he work here?
- 50:00Speaker 1: Now? Yes? What?
- 50:02Speaker 3: What have we what have we done? We've signed him?
- 50:03Speaker 1: Yes, he's he's you. You damn near have access to him.
- 50:09Speaker 3: I would like to spend some time with what's he doing.
- 50:11Speaker 1: His podcast is like already very successful podcast where he
- 50:15Speaker 1: talks a lot about I mean mainly basketball.
- 50:18Speaker 3: Yeah, I would like to go on a trip with
- 50:20Speaker 3: him and do a travel log. Now I know Donnie's
- 50:24Speaker 3: the guy for that.
- 50:25Speaker 1: I don't know if he's gonna I think he's gonna
- 50:27Speaker 1: be like his podcast as partnered. You might have a
- 50:29Speaker 1: resource to have a conversation. I doubt that he's going
- 50:31Speaker 1: to be like I'll come up son of a boy dad.
- 50:33Speaker 3: Well, I think yeah, I think what I I don't
- 50:36Speaker 3: know what I would do to start is maybe just
- 50:38Speaker 3: following his footsteps and try to do my own version.
- 50:40Speaker 1: I think that's your best Your best in is being
- 50:42Speaker 1: like I want to do the same trip. Yeah, like
- 50:44Speaker 1: let me get a let me get a minute of
- 50:46Speaker 1: your time.
- 50:46Speaker 3: And I was super impressed. I was listening to the
- 50:48Speaker 3: gym and just I was getting fucking serious weight over him.
- 50:52Speaker 1: He's like a he's like an l a guy, and
- 50:54Speaker 1: I think he just he he's a bachelor and he
- 50:57Speaker 1: just has a starlink on his boat, and so he
- 51:01Speaker 1: just takes his boat in like like a few hundred
- 51:05Speaker 1: yards off shore and just watches NBA games like floating
- 51:08Speaker 1: on his boat.
- 51:09Speaker 3: See I'm telling you, man, I'll tell you what i'mbelievable.
- 51:12Speaker 1: Like a modern day Ernest Hemingway, I.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Am moving a little farther and farther away from the
- 51:17Speaker 3: idea of a typical existence life.
- 51:22Speaker 1: Why because you just heard about a guy has a
- 51:24Speaker 1: boat in the NBA League past.
- 51:26Speaker 3: Because what I'm experiencing in now just being completely the
- 51:33Speaker 3: master of my own schedule and not worrying about the
- 51:36Speaker 3: feelings of anyone else, and not having to worry about
- 51:41Speaker 3: like you know, calling people or whatever, just checking in
- 51:45Speaker 3: or am I playing too much golf? Oh my god, dude,
- 51:48Speaker 3: I'm almost like I'm living my own anarchy. Does that
- 51:55Speaker 3: makes sense? Like there's nothing holding me down. So I'm
- 51:58Speaker 3: a little worried about rifting a little too far into
- 52:01Speaker 3: the nether realm, Like I got invited I'm going to
- 52:06Speaker 3: Oregon tomorrow, really, And I found that out today. For
- 52:10Speaker 3: what buddy of mine had a golf trip plan for
- 52:13Speaker 3: Bandon Dunes, which is like the sickest fucking place in.
- 52:16Speaker 1: America, Willamette Valley.
- 52:17Speaker 3: It's near North Bend. It's like two hours from Eugene,
- 52:20Speaker 3: but it's in the middle of nowhere in Oregon. Yeah,
- 52:23Speaker 3: and so I'm gonna he was like, they had a
- 52:25Speaker 3: group of twelve and then one of the guys hurt
- 52:28Speaker 3: his back this week and dropped out, and they're desperately
- 52:30Speaker 3: trying to fill his spot. Fuck it, Yeah, I can
- 52:35Speaker 3: do it. I can do it. I want to.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Saying no, you bring back a Nebuchadnezzer bottle of pino noir.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Yes, yes, I am.
- 52:42Speaker 4: It's going to be sick.
- 52:43Speaker 3: So I'm going to Oregon tomorrow and I'm gonna be
- 52:46Speaker 3: there and playing golf at Bandon Dune's.
- 52:49Speaker 4: How long are you there?
- 52:51Speaker 3: I'll stay until I think I'm coming back Monday night.
- 52:55Speaker 3: But we yeah, we're good.
- 52:57Speaker 4: You should go fishing.
- 52:59Speaker 3: I'm gonna play like a million holes of golf.
- 53:02Speaker 4: She takes some time, and go fishing.
- 53:03Speaker 1: You're going to be fishing. You have to do enough
- 53:05Speaker 1: fishing for all of them, I know.
- 53:06Speaker 4: But the fishing in Oregon is like so good.
- 53:09Speaker 3: I'm gonna save my fishing. I'm saving my fishing for
- 53:13Speaker 3: New Zealand. Dude, seriously, that'll be good too. By the way,
- 53:17Speaker 3: you should come to New Zealand.
- 53:18Speaker 4: Well, you should probably try to get a couple of
- 53:19Speaker 4: casts in before he goes before you go to New Zealand.
- 53:22Speaker 4: Unless you're looking to have an Iceland trip like I had,
- 53:26Speaker 4: he will.
- 53:26Speaker 1: He will also not be coming with you to New Zealand.
- 53:29Speaker 1: I can guarantee that.
- 53:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:30Speaker 4: Well, now I gotta go home for Christmas. I had
- 53:32Speaker 4: a feeling I'm too young to be skipping Christmas.
- 53:36Speaker 3: I can't.
- 53:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I am, I really am.
- 53:39Speaker 3: It's true. That's totally true.
- 53:41Speaker 4: I told my mom I was skipping Christmas. She would
- 53:44Speaker 4: kill herself. She would be like what.
- 53:46Speaker 3: I pitched it? And I was really nervous to pitch it.
- 53:49Speaker 3: I'm too young, And I said, I said, I'll come home.
- 53:53Speaker 3: I think I'll swing home, like on December eighteenth or nineteenth.
- 53:58Speaker 3: We'll spend a night or two. Yeah, and then I'm crazy.
- 54:01Speaker 1: How how moms get the Christmas hooks in you? And
- 54:04Speaker 1: it's like that. It's like, dude, I have my own
- 54:06Speaker 1: family now, and I still feel the guilt of like
- 54:09Speaker 1: my mom's Christmas.
- 54:10Speaker 3: That's legit, though I am very worried about it. Being
- 54:15Speaker 3: December twenty fifth, and I'm in New Zealand alone.
- 54:20Speaker 4: It's going to be like something I'll be home for
- 54:25Speaker 4: Christmas is over.
- 54:27Speaker 3: There for in the morning, I can't even call them
- 54:30Speaker 3: to wish the fucking merry Christmas.
- 54:33Speaker 1: If only in my dreams.
- 54:36Speaker 4: There's no place.
- 54:43Speaker 1: Boland.
- 54:45Speaker 4: But dude, New Zealand is going to be so sick.
- 54:47Speaker 4: It's like you're not even going to be considering. You're
- 54:49Speaker 4: gonna be like, that's yesterday was Christmas.
- 54:52Speaker 1: I have.
- 54:52Speaker 3: I am so prone to homesickness and loneliness, but I
- 54:56Speaker 3: also feel that I need a little bit of soul searching,
- 55:00Speaker 3: and I think that a trip like this could be
- 55:03Speaker 3: just the ticket. Oh yeah, and.
- 55:05Speaker 1: You meet a nice tongue in girl who doesn't care
- 55:08Speaker 1: if you go golfing.
- 55:09Speaker 4: Yeah, maybe she's like a golf maybe she works with
- 55:12Speaker 4: she's like the cart girl.
- 55:13Speaker 3: That'd be cool. Yeah, in New Zealand, don't they end up?
- 55:15Speaker 3: Don't they have huge families, like physically both both, Like
- 55:20Speaker 3: the kids are all like linebackers.
- 55:23Speaker 4: Oh really in New Zealand.
- 55:24Speaker 3: Well, the Tonguans.
- 55:25Speaker 1: I heard the four most obese countries in the world
- 55:29Speaker 1: are Pacific island countries.
- 55:31Speaker 3: Yeah, mm hmm.
- 55:32Speaker 1: It's because I think they went from years of like
- 55:36Speaker 1: rowing the oceans to like access to corn syrup.
- 55:40Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I'll do it.
- 55:43Speaker 1: Yeah, corn syrup will put a fucking corn syrup and
- 55:46Speaker 1: like the development of flight patterns will fuck up.
- 55:50Speaker 4: I might just pick up some corn syrup on the
- 55:52Speaker 4: way home. Just sit at my desk and just.
- 55:55Speaker 1: Slid open a bag of corn syrup and let it
- 55:57Speaker 1: bleed into your mouth. You're killing a deer, I will
- 56:02Speaker 1: tell you.
- 56:03Speaker 3: And this is just for us, and I don't think
- 56:04Speaker 3: people at Homer I want to hear this. The way
- 56:06Speaker 3: that I routed my flights out there is nothing short
- 56:10Speaker 3: of black belt level travel planning.
- 56:14Speaker 4: What'd you do?
- 56:15Speaker 3: So?
- 56:15Speaker 4: Do you have any layovers?
- 56:17Speaker 3: There is a you have to get to this very
- 56:19Speaker 3: small airport called North Bend.
- 56:21Speaker 4: In New Zealand.
- 56:23Speaker 3: I haven't bought those New Zealand flights yet.
- 56:25Speaker 4: You're talking about Oregon.
- 56:26Speaker 3: Yeah, so traveler, you go to Denver and then I
- 56:31Speaker 3: see what you did because Roan's out on Monday. You're yeah.
- 56:34Speaker 3: I was like, we don't have to be in on
- 56:35Speaker 3: Monday and I can just write whatever.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Fucking So what you what'd.
- 56:40Speaker 4: Your little Harry get away this weekend to a boy
- 56:44Speaker 4: cats away.
- 56:45Speaker 3: I too shall play. So I'm flying to you got
- 56:51Speaker 3: to fly Denver and then Denver to North Bend, and uh,
- 56:57Speaker 3: the flights were expensive and not great, and so what
- 57:03Speaker 3: I did was I bought a round trip ticket from
- 57:07Speaker 3: Denver to North Bend on United that was the only
- 57:10Speaker 3: flight that goes there. And then I bought a round
- 57:12Speaker 3: trip ticket to Denver on Delta.
- 57:15Speaker 4: Yeah, so you're gonna have to leave the airport.
- 57:19Speaker 3: I was planning when I landed in Denver to walk
- 57:24Speaker 3: out of the airport collect my golf clubs and then
- 57:27Speaker 3: come back in and check them onto my United flight,
- 57:31Speaker 3: which was going to be the one pain in the ass,
- 57:33Speaker 3: but I was going to save like eighteen dollars. And
- 57:37Speaker 3: then my guy Jack at Shipsticks, I texted.
- 57:42Speaker 1: Him, sticks will get those clubs there.
- 57:44Speaker 3: We are not sponsored by this by Shipsticks.
- 57:47Speaker 4: Ship Sticks is a name, and immediately I was like,
- 57:50Speaker 4: are we going into an ad?
- 57:51Speaker 3: No, dude, Shipsticks is fucking incredible.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Your clubs in New Zealand.
- 57:57Speaker 3: I was like, dude. I was like, hey man, I
- 57:59Speaker 3: got this crazy thing I'm going to. I don't know
- 58:01Speaker 3: where I'm going to band it tomorrow, Like any chance
- 58:04Speaker 3: that like I can overnight my clubs. He's like, I
- 58:06Speaker 3: got you. They'll be picked up from your apartment building
- 58:09Speaker 3: by FedEx in an hour and they'll be at your destination.
- 58:13Speaker 3: When you arrive, they'll be abandoned. It's just unbelievable.
- 58:17Speaker 4: They're like, what do they have, like a partnership with
- 58:19Speaker 4: FedEx or something. Shit, that's crazy. You gotta get ship rods, yeah,
- 58:23Speaker 4: ship everything.
- 58:24Speaker 3: By the way, the other big thing I'm doing in
- 58:26Speaker 3: New Zealand that I want to do is the golf
- 58:29Speaker 3: there is yeah, yeah, fucking crazy. There's Tara Edy and
- 58:33Speaker 3: Cape Kidnappers. There's like five of the top twenty golf
- 58:36Speaker 3: courses in the world. Are there the Cape Kidnappers.
- 58:41Speaker 1: It's got to be some nasty pirate ship there.
- 58:43Speaker 3: I don't know, but the pictures of it look insane.
- 58:45Speaker 3: By the way, I think the four play guys actually
- 58:47Speaker 3: did a trip there years ago.
- 58:48Speaker 1: You see the chicks in the office girls are going
- 58:50Speaker 1: to Singapore on the world's longest flight and just sitting
- 58:54Speaker 1: business class.
- 58:56Speaker 4: Just for video.
- 58:58Speaker 1: The Singapore like Bureau of Travel reached out to them.
- 59:01Speaker 1: They're like, we want you out here.
- 59:03Speaker 3: Really, that's awesome.
- 59:04Speaker 4: That's sick.
- 59:05Speaker 3: Is it business or is it like one of the
- 59:08Speaker 3: first class.
- 59:09Speaker 1: Suits, like the whatever they're going.
- 59:11Speaker 3: To have, it is the biggest, the biggest thing, the shower. Yeah, yeah, Casey,
- 59:17Speaker 3: I like those, Casey, and I.
- 59:18Speaker 4: S that the best.
- 59:20Speaker 3: Yeah, twenty thousand dollars flight, that's pretty cool.
- 59:23Speaker 1: So sick and then you can just write it off
- 59:25Speaker 1: Oh yeah, business.
- 59:26Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:27Speaker 4: I think he was also probably getting a bunch of
- 59:28Speaker 4: airlines reaching out being like review us. Yeah, those were crazy.
- 59:33Speaker 4: I still don't know what flights. I guess that that
- 59:36Speaker 4: those are the flights that have on.
- 59:37Speaker 3: Singapore Airlines is usually ranked number one or number two
- 59:42Speaker 3: in terms of business class is in the world. Number one,
- 59:47Speaker 3: which I have taken is often uh Qatar Airways because
- 59:52Speaker 3: they have the Q suites that's in business and there's
- 59:56Speaker 3: a door that comes up so you have privacy doesn't
- 59:59Speaker 3: come up all the way the wall and then the
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: two there are two middle seats that you can get
- 1:00:04Speaker 3: rid of the divider and create a queen size bed
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: for two people. Wow.
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: We need to we need to reach out to the
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Singapore Airlines people. We need to reach out to the
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Department of Travel for Airlines if any countries, like diplomats
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: or embassies are listening like we are open for business.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: I would do that in a harp.
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: If you think for one second that we're arranging that
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: trip and Ronan and I are not secretly putting you
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: in the back of the fucking plane while he and
- 1:00:32Speaker 3: I sit.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: An eighteen hour flight of you just stewing with your
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: knees touching each.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: Other Jacuzzi up front.
- 1:00:39Speaker 4: I don't even know like dance, genuinely don't know what
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: would what I would do.
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: That would be the funniest shit.
- 1:00:46Speaker 4: I would probably like fake a heart attack and be like,
- 1:00:49Speaker 4: let's land the plane, like I would. I would have
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: to do something like that.
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: Yeah, that's your only option.
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: If I was randomly found myself on a flight in
- 1:00:57Speaker 4: like a middle seat coach that's eighteen hours long, I
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: don't know what would happen.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: I flew to Sydney and coach aisle seat.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I flew to Australia multiple times. One time on my
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: one Australia flight was I had to fly from Philly
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: to Pittsburgh to Dallas to Los Angele or No to
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Dallas to Sydney to like, uh whatever other city I
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: was at. It was five different flights to get there.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: It was miserable back of the plane on Thanksgiving for
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: a fucking rap battle that five people showed up for
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: fucking grin And I think I was older than you
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: are right now, so I actually don't want to hear it.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: We never did, all right, that's sound of a boy dad.
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: Yes, thank you guys for listening. We will see you
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: on Thursday. We're all in office, so yeah, that'll be
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: a freshy.
