- 0:01It is impossible for the mental Consciousness, to imagine what
- 0:05the state of samadhi actually is.
- 0:08If we try to sit for meditation, we find all kinds of perceptions
- 0:14feelings nervous. Impulses random thoughts and
- 0:18emotions flitting across our mind.
- 0:21We can observe an almost endless stream of inner subtle
- 0:25reactions, and mental commentary that has been called by some or
- 0:31monkey mind. There are times when we are
- 0:35relatively at peace with ourselves in the world.
- 0:38Perhaps in a quiet place where we are not being bombarded by
- 0:42sights. Sounds and vibrations from
- 0:45external sources and we feel calm quiet contented.
- 0:52But this has nothing at all to do with the actual state of
- 0:55samadhi. They're coming experiences in
- 0:59meditation where the Mind Falls relatively quiet and one of the
- 1:03First Reactions is to go into a state that the Seeker May
- 1:07describe as a type of Quasi sleep state.
- 1:12The active mind has withdrawn and Fallen quiet and the
- 1:16external being takes this as a period of sleep, there is thus
- 1:20frequently, a disconnect between the inner status and the
- 1:25external being that prevents a true and complete transcription
- 1:30of the experience from being fully brought forward and thus
- 1:36it seems to be almost dreamlike or even an induced form of
- 1:40sleep. Samadhi is frequently described
- 1:44as a trance State and the experience there is in most
- 1:48cases, unable to be accurately represented in the outer
- 1:53existence. In his yoga sutras of patanjali
- 1:58describes, various states of samadhi, particularly estate,
- 2:03that is with seed, and a state that is without seed.
- 2:08This is explained by Swami Vivekananda in his lectures, on
- 2:12Raja yoga to meanest. Adage that keeps all the
- 2:16thoughts away in seed form. So that they can arise again at
- 2:21the earliest opportunity as well as a deeper status.
- 2:26That is unshakable yet. These do not give us real
- 2:30insight into the state of samadhi.
- 2:34When an actual experience arises, it is a frequent
- 2:38experience that the Seeker suddenly draws back in fear.
- 2:43As the ego personality is afraid that it will lose its entire
- 2:48coherence. And existence in order to enter
- 2:52into the true state of samadhi, the secret eventually must be
- 2:56able to overcome any fear that arises and allow the entire
- 3:01being to fall into a deep and impenetrable silence.
- 3:07SRI aurobindo observes quote, the experience you relate, the
- 3:13Stillness, The Emptiness of mind and vital and cessation of
- 3:19thoughts and other movements, was the coming of the state of
- 3:23samadhi, in which the Consciousness goes inside in a
- 3:28deep Stillness and silence. This condition is favorable to
- 3:34enter experience realization the vision of the Unseen truth of
- 3:40things. The one can get these in the
- 3:43waking condition. Also, It is not sleep, but the
- 3:48state in which one feels conscious within no longer
- 3:53outside. And quote.
