  [SPEAKER_00]: Preseason week two coming up later this week as we have got a little duval afternoon storm outside.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I've got five of them here for the Jacksonville Jaguars, twenty, twenty, five campaign.

  [SPEAKER_00]: and talk about some of the takes I have now based on, you know, a couple, three weeks of training camp practice, first preseason game, things that maybe I'm changing my mind on or confirming based on everything we've seen.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I'm at the point where I do think racial tuton should be the Jaguars RB-ONE.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean I think he should get twenty carries a game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't mean I think he should be on the field of a hundred percent of the time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It means I think that he has the most balanced skill set of all the backs the Jaguars have and he should be utilized.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not only does he have a balanced skill set, he has the most breakaway speed on the team.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, the guy has four three speed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he has better vision and kind of feel for when holes are going to open up than either of the Jaguar's top two backs right now.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that he's displayed hands throughout his collegiate career and training camp so far to where you don't feel like he's gonna be some sort of liability in the passing game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I also think he's shown enough in pass protection.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to be some elite pass protector to be the lead back in a Liam Cohen system.

  [SPEAKER_00]: uh, Bucky Irving.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He was not a big time pass protector last year, but he was sufficient enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I just think Tutan gives them the best of both worlds with tank and and Travis and maybe he's not as powerful as tank Biggs be, but

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think I would rather have the guy who's going to make the right read and make the right cut and then show off that speed more often than not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Basel Tutan can do that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I'm at a point where I would like to see Basel Tutan get a lot of the run.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I definitely think there should be a bi-committee approach.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you want to run the rookie running back into the ground by any stretch of the imagination unless he just is playing too well to take him off the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Even then I think you got to spell your guy.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think you've got several guys that can get different things done for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would want to see ETN and more of a passing game role, get the ball in space type of role.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Big's B, you can use him as a early down battering ram type.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think you won't him in the game in passing downs, and Lee Quint Allen, I think is going to be a passing down guy as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you've got some different role players, there's been some scuttle but I don't know.

  [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of folks still think that Travis ETN could get traded.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think ETN skill set makes more sense for the Jaguars offense than tank Biggsby's does quite frankly, but that's just me.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So we'll see what ends up happening with the backfield.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they should keep everyone and, you know, there's going to be injuries throughout the season, have depth, have high quality depth, and I think if they do keep all the guys that they have top four, and then hopefully keep to Quinn and Jackson on the practice squad, they should be in very good shape overall.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But again, I just think Tutan can handle

  [SPEAKER_00]: can handle more than the other two guys just from a natural feel and vision and instincts standpoint running the football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that this is a defense the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This is something I felt and I think it played out on Saturday night.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it played out the last two days as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think this team can defend the run and play downhill attacking and coverage eyes on the football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I do not think that they can cover down the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Look, Tyson Campbell's always been better with his eyes in the backfield.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's always been better moving forward than he is retreating.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So, offense is that can't really threaten very much with deep speed.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think are going to really have a tough time against the jag wars, or threaten with some sort of deep attack.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think you're going to have a tough time if you're just trying to win underneath against them.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We're just going to try to win with the run game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Teams that have a lot of receiver speed and the ability to win down the field are going to be difficult for the Jack horse.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Maybe Anthony Campanela's coverage schemes will improve in the understanding of how to execute those schemes will improve with the guys that are here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Tyson Campbell, again, always been better attacking the football, you know, running forward.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Jordan Lewis is better in tight spaces.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Eric Murray is not a big time athlete at this point in his career.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's better coming downhill as well.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think they want to stop the run and kind of keep a roof over the offense, not let them attack them down field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think if offense is feel like they can, that's going to be pretty problematic.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And so you just think about teams on the Jaguar schedule that can attack down the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think those are the teams that are really going to give them a hard time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a real bull dick.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think I might have said it before earlier this week.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I would not be surprised and I'll go ahead and say, I think Travis Hunter will lead the Jaguars and catches this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And that's not a slight in any way shape or form to Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Travis Hunter is going to get the ball so much more in the short area of the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I also think that he is going to just be undeniable as a player look.

  [SPEAKER_00]: when the Jaguar's drafted him last year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I gave them like an A plus for that, because not only did you get BTJ who was like a perfect fit for what Trevor Lawrence needed, but you were traded down and still got him, which was a bold move by Trembalki, a maybe risky move by Trembalki, but it worked.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he's fantastic player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think Travis Hunter is better.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Is he bigger, stronger, faster?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think he's a better receiver.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's someone that Jaguar is going to force me the ball to.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I know right now, this might be really bold because Travis Hunter is really only working in eleven personnel, whereas Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: is going to be out there like a hundred percent of the time.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Travis Hunter's role in this offense is going to be expanded beyond eleven personnel.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's going to be undeniable to keep off the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And he won't be out there every single play, whereas Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: will be out there almost every single play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But again, when I think when he's out there, I think that he's going to get the ball.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Well, a lot more often than not.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So that's my take on Travis Hunter.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He just, he gets these easy catches, screens and short passes, yak opportunities.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he's gonna get those more than Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think Travis Hunter will lead the Jaguars and catches.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's gonna be close, but Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: is gonna lead the Jaguars in yards by a considerable amount because I think his average depth of target is going to be much further down the field.

  [SPEAKER_00]: will score more touchdowns,

  [SPEAKER_00]: have more yards, but Travis Hunter will lead the Jaguars and catches.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the bottom line, the good thing is that Travis Hunter and Brian Thomas Jr.

  [SPEAKER_00]: are both really good players for Trevor Lawrence to throw the ball to.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I have Josh Heinz Allen and Trayvon Walker once again, breaking the twenty-five combined sack mark.

  [SPEAKER_00]: When they did that a couple years ago, they were the number one duo in football.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They led the league in combined sack for a duo.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to break twenty-five again.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know if they're going to be the number one duo.

  [SPEAKER_00]: They could be obviously Houston has a dynamic duo.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There's going to be some other potent past rushes.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I mean, you look at New York, that could be something with Brian Burns and Abdul Carter obviously, I've came on to it.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I love, I think Abdul Carter's going to be fantastic.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But that's not the point.

  [SPEAKER_00]: The point is, I think, twenty-five combined sacks as well within range.

  [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of me, that's a bold take because that would be huge.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that would be absolutely massive for the Jaguar's defense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: reasonably I could see it being a much higher number than that.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen wants to break the single season sack record.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he wants like twenty three sacks.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Trayvon Walker has been double digits every year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I expect Josh Hines Allen to get fifteen plus.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I expect Trayvon Walker to get ten plus.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I expect Trayvon to be much more efficient as a past researcher in terms of just adding pressures.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's been a little bit boomer bust as a past pressure at times.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Very good run defender, but somebody who's like, he's either getting a quick win, getting into the quarterback or, you know, sometimes he's working really hard and has a hustle sack, but he didn't have enough of a high pressure rate in twenty twenty four.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He did improve on that in twenty twenty four.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's improved every year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think he'll improve again this year.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So I think Josh Heinz Allen and Trayvon Walker have a big, big year, twenty five sacks combined plus.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Final take here is I think the offensive line is going to be fine.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think it's going to be pretty good.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that Liam Cohen's coaching style and practice like the drills he has them working on the intentionality and then that combined with

  [SPEAKER_00]: his offensive scheme and the talent that they have is going to get the job done.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Look, I think that their worst starter right now for my overall talent standpoint is Robert Hainesy at center, but he's a smart player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's a tough player.

  [SPEAKER_00]: He's explosive in short areas.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So he's somebody who I think knows the offense and a lot of times at center, if you don't have like an elite center,

  [SPEAKER_00]: You really just need someone who is going to handle the business up front mentally at a high level and someone who's competent.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think that's especially true and I really well designed and well coached offense.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think that's going to be the case here with the Jaguars.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Not saying they won't want to upgrade that center in the near future, but maybe they feel like they've got that guy in general on time for the future.

  [SPEAKER_00]: because I do think John Monheim played well at center at USC last year, I think he played well at center when they finally got him in the game at center against the Steelers after playing mostly guard throughout the game.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But so you've got center, I think you've got a smart guy who knows the system who is going to be passable and then at guard, I like Patrick McCarray a lot.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Ezra Cleveland has been an underrated player here in Jacksonville.

  [SPEAKER_00]: You also have why at Milim why I think and play.

  [SPEAKER_00]: We need to see him play guard in a game more and in preseason week one he finally primarily played tackle and did a good job playing tackle against backup so that was good to see but I think you want to see more from him at guard obviously

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think the tackles are going to be good too.

  [SPEAKER_00]: As Walker Little is a talented left tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: Is he a top five talent?

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think he's easily top half of the league.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I think Hanson Harrison certainly is the same.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And then I think Chuma can play tackle.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think Patrick McCary can play every single spot for you.

  [SPEAKER_00]: So you've got these guys who have versatility, who have strain,

  [SPEAKER_00]: I saw a lot more strain, a lot more effort.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I thought, hey, it's on here.

  [SPEAKER_00]: It's in a walk a little bit of good job in preseason week one.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think most of the time they've done a good job.

  [SPEAKER_00]: I think they're going to be coached well enough and skimmed up well enough.

  [SPEAKER_00]: This offensive line is mostly going to get the job done.

  [SPEAKER_00]: There will be games where they're tested significantly.

  [SPEAKER_00]: And I can't wait to see how that plays out.

  [SPEAKER_00]: But I think most of the season, this offensive line is going to be able to get the job done for the jag wars to execute an efficient, well, well-executed offense.
