- 0:13No topic off limits.
- 0:16And now, here's your host, David Firazzo.
- 0:20Hi, friends.
- 0:21Family and Christ.
- 0:22Thanks so much for watching, sharing the podcast, and there are some guests that I wish
- 0:25we had an hour.
- 0:26And today's guest is one of them.
- 0:28I want to direct you to a couple of websites.
- 0:30First of all, Chad Robeshow will be joining us in a minute.
- 0:33You got a brand new book on, I'm talking hot off the presses.
- 0:36It's called A Mission Without Borders, why a father and son risked it all for people
- 0:42of Ukraine.
- 0:43And also, we want to direct you to the website, MightyOaksPrograms.org, MightyOaksPrograms,
- 0:50and Chad's website, ChadRobeshow.com.
- 0:55And we'll talk about his podcast, and we just want to bring him on right now, brother.
- 0:58Thank you so much for all you do.
- 0:59Thank you for your time today.
- 1:00Good to see you.
- 1:01Absolutely.
- 1:02Thanks for having me on.
- 1:03Oh, thank you.
- 1:04Well, first of all, the podcast.
- 1:05How often do you do it?
- 1:07How can people hear it?
- 1:08Yeah, it's called The Resilience Show.
- 1:11I do it weekly.
- 1:13This new episode drops every Monday.
- 1:16We have some incredible guests, Terry Krue, Sean Ryan, Kaylee McEnany, every week.
- 1:21We just have some phenomenal guests.
- 1:23And we talk about topics that make sure media that typically cover and how people can
- 1:29more resilient in this ever changing world that we find ourselves in.
- 1:33You mentioned Terry Krue's, and I see there's a benefit coming up the fourth annual Warrior
- 1:37Gala, and that's on MightyOaksPrograms.org.
- 1:41And I just want to read the description and have you tell us a little bit more.
- 1:44It says The MightyOaks Foundation is a faith-based veteran service organization that teaches
- 1:49combat veterans struggling with post-traumatic stress, how to get beyond combat trauma and
- 1:57live their lives in the manner God intended.
- 2:01Tall order, brother, but I got your newsletter.
- 2:03I got a lot of testimonies from people that have been through it, that are raving about
- 2:07it.
- 2:08Share a little bit more, please.
- 2:09Yeah, well, about 14 years ago is when we MightyOaks began.
- 2:14It began from me doing my eight deployment staff, Afghanistan, and special operations coming
- 2:18home, following my face, and just some amazing people coming around me to help me restore
- 2:24my family, overcome my battle with suicide, and not become another veteran suicide statistic.
- 2:28And through all the things that people helped me with, nothing was more profound than
- 2:32it, and being led to a relationship with Jesus and aligning my life for the life I was
- 2:37created to live, and finding hope, and restoration, and purpose there.
- 2:41And that purpose really manifested for me, and this is deep burden to God, put on my heart
- 2:44to pay it forward.
- 2:45And that was, that was again, 14 years ago.
- 2:48And since then, we've had over 7,000 people have come to this recovery program.
- 2:53We do about $8 million a year in programming for absolutely free to active duty service
- 2:56members, veterans, first responders, spouses.
- 3:01We have a recovery program.
- 3:03I mean, that's our recovery program at these places, these amazing branches we have around
- 3:08a country.
- 3:09We do about 50 of a year.
- 3:10And while we had 7,000 people over the last 14 years, we're doing about 1,000 per year
- 3:13now.
- 3:14And again, we even pay for their flights.
- 3:16We have a resiliency program where I go to bases around the world and speak on resiliency,
- 3:22mentally, physically, socially, spiritually.
- 3:25I've spoken about half million troops in the last decade at bases around the world, and
- 3:31really just given a message of hope and resiliency through a relationship with Jesus.
- 3:35And we have a book that we give out, some of the books I've written, we've given out
- 3:38over about 400,000 copies of our books now to the troops.
- 3:43And we have an advocacy program, or even like next month, I'll be testifying the pro
- 3:47Congress on faith-based programs.
- 3:49President Trump had appointed me to be a chairman of the White House faith-based coalition
- 3:52and veterans affairs to make sure our troops have access to faith-based programs.
- 3:56And the last thing we do at Mighty Oaks is an international program where we take the
- 4:00same program to do here, and we share with our ally partners around the world and just
- 4:06help them to find the same hope that we have here.
- 4:09So.
- 4:10You have an amazing story, amazing testimony.
- 4:12I mean, as you said, you were confronted with your own suicide, you know, your thoughts
- 4:18about that and how deep that goes and you overcame.
- 4:21You know all about PTSD, you were in combat, Marine Corps veteran, what is a force recon
- 4:28to explain that USMC force recon veteran?
- 4:31Explain that real quick.
- 4:32Yeah, well, I mean, every branch of the military has their own special operations, you
- 4:36know, maybe he's known for their, the Navy SEALs and the Army has the, the Green Berets
- 4:40and, you know, the special operations component of the Rangers, Air Force has, you know,
- 4:45Paris, you and cop-back controllers and the Marine Corps has two, the Marine Corps has a
- 4:50recon and then it's up to your recon as force recon and then Marsox.
- 4:53So I was a, I was a force recon Marine, a certain special operations in that capacity.
- 4:58I tried out for a JSOC task force to join special operations command task force and represented
- 5:03the Marine Corps at JSOC, which is the premier special operations that combines all the branches
- 5:08together.
- 5:09It's that kind of represents all the branches and then we have, you know, at that, at JSOC,
- 5:14you have Delta Force SEAL Team 6, a unit called task force orange and so I got to represent
- 5:19the Marine Corps at that command and, uh, ended aid deployment, staff can't stand in that
- 5:22capacity.
- 5:23Um, so, uh, President Trump said, by the way, it's right on your website, uh, thank you
- 5:28for sharing your incredible story, Chad.
- 5:30I extend my personal gratitude for you, your distinguished and steadfast service to our
- 5:35country.
- 5:36And I want to read one of the testimonies that I got from the Mighty Oaks programs.
- 5:41Brennan said I expected the course to be more heavily focused on PTSD and less on
- 5:47biblical principles.
- 5:48I'm glad I was mistaken.
- 5:50This has been the best veteran experience I've had.
- 5:53I've been blessed to work with other veteran organizations, but never has the foundation
- 5:57been the word of God.
- 5:59I needed this and I'm excited to share this experience with other veterans and first
- 6:04responders.
- 6:05So you're doing great work, Chad.
- 6:07Kudos brother.
- 6:08And let's go back to Afghanistan now.
- 6:10I think that's where now we're getting going to get to your brand new book coming up
- 6:13in a minute here.
- 6:14A mission without borders, but we've got to talk about saving a Z's, which is going to
- 6:19be a feature film now, hugely popular book, but the story is really amazing in and of
- 6:25itself.
- 6:26Please just, I know you can bullet point that.
- 6:28You're a pro at this point, how, you know, how the mission to help one became a calling
- 6:33to rescue thousands from the Taliban.
- 6:36Go ahead, brother.
- 6:37Share Chad.
- 6:38Yeah.
- 6:39Like you said, I could spend hours talking about the saving and Z's story.
- 6:42But, you know, as Z's and I had a very unique job when I went to that J sock unit, my job
- 6:46was a AFO advanced force operator, which means it's probably the closest thing in the military
- 6:50to be an undercover and you work in what's called a singleton capacity by yourself.
- 6:55But your partner is not a U.S. service member, it's a local national.
- 6:58And so for me, it was a Z's as Z's and I did, oh, eight of my deployments together, hundreds
- 7:02of missions going ahead of our unit to do all the clandestinal logistics to put our
- 7:05soldiers on target to capture a kill bag guys and that's, that was my job, you know.
- 7:10And so while I can tell you that a Z saved my life several times in combat, he probably
- 7:14saved my life every day, you know, trying to get me around different parts of the country
- 7:18and, you know, impact stand in Afghanistan to be in Taliban villages and not stand out
- 7:24and, you know, don't eat that.
- 7:25Don't walk there.
- 7:26Don't talk to that person.
- 7:27You know, if you talk right now, they're going to kill us.
- 7:29So he kept, he kept me alive and we became, obviously, we became very close friends and
- 7:34beyond him saved my life, but I didn't go back to base when operating and he went home.
- 7:38I went to his home.
- 7:39I lived in his home.
- 7:40I held his babies when they were born.
- 7:41So he was, he was my friend, you know, I just, my teammate is my friend.
- 7:44And so when Afghanistan would draw happening, President Biden announced a full and complete
- 7:47withdrawal of Afghanistan at a lot of problems with that, you know, first of all, yeah, I
- 7:53think regardless of what president it would have been to leave Afghanistan was a catastrophic
- 7:58mistake for national security and global security.
- 8:00I mean, this is, you're talking Bogom Air Force base, the most strategic place in a globe
- 8:04between Iraq, Iran, Russia and China.
- 8:06You don't forfeit that.
- 8:07You could have declared the war and terror over.
- 8:10You could have, and we could have supported that by the Afghan National Army like we have
- 8:15been doing since 2018, but you don't give up that base to enter international community
- 8:19who was participating there to fight global war and terrorism and was working the lie that
- 8:24American people were told that we need to end this war and we need to stop putting American
- 8:28troops in harm's way.
- 8:30The truth is we have 2500 troops there.
- 8:32We still have 80,000 troops in Japan since World War II.
- 8:34We have 30,000 troops in Germany since World War II.
- 8:37We have 30,000, 35,000 troops in South Korea and that 38 parallel keeping North Koreans
- 8:42from coming over, having our troops in places like this and putting contingencies like this,
- 8:46then keep us in war, prevents war.
- 8:49And so that was a lie of the American people.
- 8:51We withdrew in a way that was horrific that turned over the country of Afghanistan.
- 8:58We left Americans behind.
- 8:59We left our allies behind.
- 9:00We left 80 billion dollars in equipment behind.
- 9:03We're still giving, by the way, 85 million dollars a week to the Taliban while terrorism
- 9:07is growing in Afghanistan and we're giving that money to sanction people that are sanctioned
- 9:11on FBI's top 10 most wanted list, which is a complete atrocity.
- 9:15So all these things I didn't agree with, I couldn't change and I kind of went on a tangent
- 9:20there.
- 9:21But the one thing I could control and could have and could do even as a civilian was to
- 9:24go and get my friend Aziz.
- 9:27So I made a decision that while I was not happy with this draw, I was going to do my
- 9:32part to go get my friend.
- 9:33And so I called a couple of other special operations veterans that I knew well and trusted
- 9:38and said, Hey, I'm going to go get a disease.
- 9:39His wife and his six kids will you help and and and you know, I have some great friends
- 9:45with a lot of experience and we put together a team by 12 guys from you know, David Seos,
- 9:49to Green Berets, to Recon Marines, to got a few guys from CIA's paramilitary unit.
- 9:54And we put together a team and while we're planning this effort to go get a disease wife
- 9:57and six kids, we realized how tragic this really was.
- 10:01It was a call that came in or a text that came in that these group of orphans about 3,000
- 10:06orphans had just been abandoned and in that moment, we made a decision and God, I think
- 10:10burdened all of our hearts to say beyond disease, beyond his wife and six kids, let's go help
- 10:14as many people as we can, Americans, interpreters, allies.
- 10:17And so we laid forward to do that.
- 10:19As Aziz, six eight says, send me, we all had to send me the heart.
- 10:24And beyond that decision, God performed a miracle that allowed us not only rescue a disease
- 10:28of life and the six kids, but 17,000 other people, which by the way, it ended up being
- 10:33the largest civilian evacuation in American history.
- 10:37And I say that not to pat myself in the back here, I say that to do it, saying that this
- 10:41was a completely a God or a Christian miracle.
- 10:43I'm not smart enough by the way, okay, good enough to pull anything like that off.
- 10:46God, miracle off the miracle off the miracle to pull that off.
- 10:50It was absolutely amazing.
- 10:52And so the book captures that story and highlights some amazing people that I was proud
- 10:57to be served with.
- 11:00It glorifies God and we got it.
- 11:02And then it's been made made into a very big motion picture movie.
- 11:06And I'm very proud.
- 11:07I was nervous about that at first, but I'm very proud to see it's going to be done well
- 11:10and done right by some amazing, amazing folks.
- 11:12It's been a few amazing folks left in Hollywood.
- 11:17Yeah.
- 11:18Yeah.
- 11:19So when can we be expecting that?
- 11:20Is that next year?
- 11:22Yeah, it probably looking at early to actually hit theaters probably early 2026.
- 11:26Okay.
- 11:27In the 2025, 2026 as window hit theaters, it's it's being produced now.
- 11:33And I can't say who, but there's some people involved in it and from acting to directing
- 11:39that most people listening would would would recognize who they are.
- 11:42It's great.
- 11:43Well, Chad, it's an amazing story.
- 11:45No wonder they're going to take the book and make a movie out of it.
- 11:47And if you, friends, if you go to Chad robachow.com and click on a bow, you can scroll down
- 11:53where it says, friend, you'll see a picture of a Z's and he's the man that spent.
- 11:59Did you say Chad eight missions with you and they were going to leave him behind?
- 12:05Well, we did eight deployments and over 100 missions with me.
- 12:09He served at America's top tier special operations unit.
- 12:12I believe that, you know, at JSOC, the number one special operations unit world, he served
- 12:16there for over 15 years.
- 12:17Wow.
- 12:18So him and all of our other allies, you know, we left, we left, we didn't only leave Americans
- 12:25behind, we left our allies, a wartime allies that we made a contractual promise to,
- 12:31for their service to us that we would give them a path to citizenship.
- 12:33It's called the SID, special among the visa process.
- 12:36And we, we, we, we did not keep our promise in that.
- 12:43And, you know, and they're being left behind, not only that, we left out by a metric
- 12:47system there with the Taliban, who has all of our interpreters, identities, locations
- 12:51and the Taliban is actually using that with taxpayer money, we're sending them this
- 12:55to hunt them down and murder them for what they did for us.
- 12:59So it's complete, it's complete betrayal to our allies and every service member, our
- 13:06service members are, I mean, look, beyond that, if you have any kind of heart and care
- 13:12about people, it's 40 million people in Afghanistan, 20 million women and little girls that are
- 13:17being sexually enslaved from the moment we left, you know, little girls those nine years
- 13:21old, they're being sexually enslaved, they lost all their human rights and, and we did
- 13:25that as a country and it should apologize for, it should make it right.
- 13:30But instead, we're sending $87 million a week to them, half of it in cash, that's going
- 13:35right to the Taliban and it's a, it's a complete atrocity.
- 13:38And, you know, I, I did my listening to call to their congressman and as a constituent
- 13:42say, you know, we're not okay with that.
- 13:44Well, we should, we, we need to take a brief pause here, but we can say elections have
- 13:48consequences and friends are going to have a big election coming up in November and
- 13:53we got to vote the communists and the socialists out.
- 13:57But more with Chad Robachow, when we come back on World View Matters, we'll talk about
- 14:00the brand new book, A Mission Without Borders.
- 14:03That's next.
- 14:04Today's show is brought to you by Harbinger's Daily, the world news biblically understood,
- 14:10stay informed at harbingerstaley.com.
- 14:14Hey, friends, if you know someone who might be interested and interested in sponsoring World

- 14:32if you're listening to our show via audio, help us out by leaving a five star review that
- 14:37helps the show rise in the rankings and subscribe to our Rumble channel Freedom Project Media
- 14:43on Rumble.
- 14:44Thank you guys very much.
- 14:45It's been growing like crazy.
- 14:47Chad Robachow, I didn't get a chance to ask you about your MMA career.
- 14:53My goodness, it's just so vast, all the things that you've been a part of.
- 14:58And then you certainly don't look like a grandfather and you've got kids and grandkids.
- 15:05So let's go back and just share a little bit about the MMA career and just for our listeners
- 15:10that don't know about your background, share a little bit, that's just fascinating.
- 15:14Yeah, well, I mean, it's more short than something I did since I was five years old.
- 15:19So it was never any career I pursued.
- 15:21It was just something I did on the side as in the military.
- 15:24There's about three years of my life that I did at my peak of my fighting that I only
- 15:28fought.
- 15:29It was after my last club at Afghanistan and the part of my recovery time that I just
- 15:34solely fought and taught martial arts and I ended up being ranked number six in the
- 15:37world.
- 15:38I won a world title.
- 15:39I was 18 and two as a professional MMA fighter and my background is mainly grappling
- 15:44based martial arts since I was a kid wrestling and judo and traditional jiu-jitsu and in 1995
- 15:50I started Brazilian jitsu and then, you know, my fourth degree by boat in a cross-graced
- 15:54junior in Brazilian jitsu and loved that art.
- 15:57I still trained this day, but you know, once I started mighty yokes, it was time for me
- 16:01to retire at the 20 professional fights and did pretty good at it.
- 16:04And but I still trained and then it's something me and my sons have done.
- 16:07I have three kids, three adult kids, 27, 26 and 24.
- 16:13I am a grandfather of four grandchildren and one on a way.
- 16:16And then last year we brought a new daughter and a family.
- 16:20So I have a grand daughter, a grand kid that her same age as my daughter and my wife and
- 16:23I adopted our niece at birth and so she's 20 months old now.
- 16:29So we started all over from empty nesting to being a grandparent and parents again at
- 16:34the same time.
- 16:35So she's the summers of my fourth kid and our daughter and she's just amazing blessing
- 16:40to us.
- 16:41And you are busy.
- 16:43Anyway, let's jump into the book now, Chad, a mission without borders, five star reviews
- 16:49already on Amazon.
- 16:51It's been out what three weeks or so, maybe a little bit more than that.
- 16:54But it says you offer an honest, no holds barred account of what has really been happening
- 17:00in Ukraine and you share powerful stories that are soaked in resiliency and determination,
- 17:07faith and sacrifice in the face of overwhelming opposition.
- 17:12So Chad, let's just say this right up front.
- 17:15A lot of people have different views on Ukraine and Americans, the US support of Ukraine
- 17:21and Zelensky and the globalists, but the people that are suffering.
- 17:26First of all, just share why you decided to write this book at this time.
- 17:30Yes, I'm definitely happy to address that because the thing has been a very confusing topic
- 17:35especially for Christians and conservatives.
- 17:38I mean, obviously, I'm a Christian person foremost.
- 17:42I'm very conservative.
- 17:43I'm probably most patriotic guys I know and I don't believe in using US taxpayers'
- 17:47dollars to be wasted overseas.
- 17:50So I got a lot of heat from people as those one of you, Ukraine.
- 17:53Like, Chad, why would you go to Ukraine?
- 17:55Why would you support this corrupt nation?
- 17:57Because President Zelensky's corrupt, we shouldn't be sending hundreds of billions of dollars
- 18:01to Ukraine.
- 18:02First of all, I heard those complaints to me and I agree with that money being sent
- 18:07there.
- 18:08Is our US taxpayer dollars that is being sent to a corrupt government and is being wasted?
- 18:12It's not making the front lines.
- 18:13No one knows that better than me up in the front lines over 10 trips now.
- 18:18But I also believe, and I'll say this, I did not go to Ukraine to help President Zelensky.
- 18:25I did not go for President Biden.
- 18:26I believe this corrupt politicians, Zelensky and President Biden have the ability in this
- 18:31war, 24 hours, and they don't because they're becoming rich off of it and getting power
- 18:35off of it.
- 18:36So I did not go for them.
- 18:37What I went for is the innocent people that are victim of that corruption.
- 18:42And if us as Christians and conservatives ever let our politics and our jadedness get
- 18:46in the way of our compassion for people, then we should change our politics.
- 18:49Right?
- 18:50I mean, I've been there firsthand and seen, there's been over many people killed at this
- 18:55point.
- 18:56Mostly civilians.
- 18:58I've been the pizza parlors and movie theaters and in playgrounds and daycares, just like
- 19:04we have here.
- 19:05This isn't a third world country.
- 19:06Not that third world countries deserve that, but this is the first world country like
- 19:09America that have apartment buildings that are being rocketed by ballistic missiles,
- 19:14the size of telephone poles.
- 19:15You're talking first world nation, a world superpower attacking another first world nation and
- 19:20they're targeting civilians intentionally to create fear and terrorize the civilian population
- 19:25to make them bold and you have corrupt politicians in the middle that are allowing it to happen
- 19:29and not ending it because they want this war to continue.
- 19:32You don't hear President Biden or President Zelensky talking about peace.
- 19:35In fact, the only person you've heard talk about peace is President Trump, who said exactly
- 19:39where I say an opening in the book is this thing can be ended in 24 hours and he can't.
- 19:43And so that's why I went to Ukraine because there are victims that are a result of this
- 19:50corruption.
- 19:51And we've been one of the first reasons that went there.
- 19:53So I knew when this happened, if you go back to Afghanistan, the withdrawal and the way
- 19:57the withdrawal happened, not only was I upset by that, but all of our enemies were watching,
- 20:03were not upset.
- 20:04They were cheerleading.
- 20:05They're like, yes, our enemies, this is the time to do whatever evil we want to do in
- 20:08the world because we have a weak White House.
- 20:10And I tell you, if you have a weak White House, if you have a weak commander chief in
- 20:13the United States of America, the world is an unstable and dangerous place and it's time.
- 20:18It's a game on for the Putin's of the world and the present Z's of the world and that's
- 20:22what happened.
- 20:23And President Putin saw this.
- 20:25He put a hundred thousand troops on the border, Eastern border of Ukraine.
- 20:29He flexed to see what President Biden would do and President Biden's response was to remove
- 20:32our U.S. troops from Ukraine and to close our embassy and consulate before he removed
- 20:36the Americans.
- 20:37So what that did was all NATO followed because they always followed what the American does
- 20:41and they gave a green light for Putin across.
- 20:43And when Putin came across, we knew before this happened, when Putin would come across,
- 20:47we'd still Americans there.
- 20:48So my team positioned in place to remove Americans out because our government didn't.
- 20:54And look, you could have whatever political opinion you want, but no matter where you
- 20:58sit, there is never a scenario that the United States government should leave Americans
- 21:03behind in war zones.
- 21:04And we did it in Sudan.
- 21:05We did it in Africa.
- 21:06And so not Africa, we did it in Afghanistan.
- 21:09We did it in some other places in the world and we did it in Ukraine and unfortunately good
- 21:14people, like the people work with, had to stand in the gap for our White House to rescue
- 21:18Americans.
- 21:19And that's what we did.
- 21:20We rescued Benjamin Hall, the Fox News reporter recovered bodies of his teammate.
- 21:24We rescued, we recovered bodies of U.S. service members who volunteered to go there and fight
- 21:28when our State Department wouldn't and couldn't because of our White House.
- 21:33We've jumped in on missions that our tier one JSOC units couldn't do because the White
- 21:37House would let them.
- 21:38We did operations that are central intelligence agency wanted to do, but they couldn't
- 21:42because of the White House and we're recording with them all the time.
- 21:45By the way, my organization that does this, we, we de-conflict with the Pentagon, we
- 21:50work with JSOC to make sure we're not, we're doing de-confliction and we support as a patriotic
- 21:55surrogate these organizations to do things that either can't or won't do.
- 21:59And so, you know, this was very coordinated effort with our government who couldn't do
- 22:03with the White House, but would not allow them to do, which is the right thing.
- 22:06And so we rescued tons of people in Ukraine and one of the things that my de-Ox did is
- 22:10went in and a my de-Ox foundation went in is train, provide humanitarian aid, but also
- 22:16train pastors to be chaplains to go and, and, and minister their, their congregate members
- 22:22who are now conscripted troops on the front lines.
- 22:25And so we've, we've actually trained in this date, I think a 300, 300 plus pastors to
- 22:30be chaplains and help get them on the front line.
- 22:32It's, it's an incredible thing to be part of.
- 22:34I think one of the biggest things I, I take away from the book and talk about in the book
- 22:38is the fact that I did this with my son.
- 22:40We have 84 years of service in our family from War I to Korea, Vietnam, both, I was in
- 22:47Marine, both my sons in Marines, one of them was Afghanistan better and just like me.
- 22:50And he wanted to come to do this and I tried to bench him in the beginning out of my
- 22:54fear of control as a mother.
- 22:56And God just had different plans and so did my son and I, it came a point where I realized
- 23:00that, you know, I love my son, but God loves him more.
- 23:03I can protect my son, but God can protect him more.
- 23:06And there's no safer place for my son to be, whether on a couch, back in Texas or in
- 23:11the front lines of Ukraine, amongst Russian forces, there's no safer place for me to be
- 23:17the middle of God's will.
- 23:18And I had to release that fear to faith in my son and the God to allow him to do what
- 23:23God was burdened, his heart to do.
- 23:24And that was a, so to me that the most craziest part of this book and story is the relationship
- 23:28between me and my son and taking him into a war zone with me, which is something I
- 23:32no farther ever wants to do.
- 23:34But I had to succumb to that and, you know, and submit to that because I was God's will,
- 23:40I felt that was God's will.
- 23:41And that's my biggest takeaway from this book, by the way.
- 23:45There's no safer place to be than in God's will.
- 23:48That's what you said and your son, it's just amazing.
- 23:50So it says you did seven trips and you saw a change in your son as his confidence grew
- 23:57and excelled, but that conversation or conversations before he decided to go where you decided
- 24:03to allow him to go, that must have been fascinating.
- 24:05Do you detail that in the book as well?
- 24:07Oh, yeah.
- 24:08The whole book, kind of, one of the string through the whole book is that relationship
- 24:12between me and my son and him wanting to go to the different steps of letting him
- 24:16get more and more involved to the end and ultimately, ultimately by the end, I did
- 24:1910 trips to Ukraine and he's done more than me now.
- 24:21He's done 13 trips to Ukraine.
- 24:23And he's been, you know, done some amazing work that I'm extremely proud of.
- 24:28So yeah, he's been there more than I have now.
- 24:30And yeah, through the book, from the very beginning to the end, is that journey that he
- 24:34and I went on as a father and son through this?
- 24:38Chad, before we let you go, just three minutes left.
- 24:40Talk a little bit more about the chaplains and the inspiring work that they're doing in
- 24:45Ukraine and reaching people that are suffering and hurting and in need, the real victims.
- 24:51Yeah, I mean, because when you, you know, one of the things that I think Americans,
- 24:56one of the great things about being in America and one of the terrible things about being
- 24:58in America is we're in this bubble and we don't realize how great we have our life is
- 25:05because of the freedoms of one, one, they're already owned by God and the freedoms that
- 25:09we've been protected by every man and woman who's born in uniforms in 1775 and fought
- 25:14bland died for those freedoms.
- 25:15We're part of only 25% of the world that have religious freedoms and we're free of persecution
- 25:20and we can go and pulp it in Sunday and either give or hear the word of God.
- 25:24And so we just have this amazing opportunity that we just take for granted sometimes and,
- 25:29and, you know, and we think that this can never happen to us in Ukraine.
- 25:33These people would have thought this can never happen, right?
- 25:36Ukraine's a first world country.
- 25:38It's this malls and, you know, just regular everyday life.
- 25:41And so you imagine being in a church one Sunday and the congregation has filled with 50%
- 25:47men, 50% women.
- 25:48The next Sunday you go, all the men are gone from 16 years old to 60 years old.
- 25:52They're all gone.
- 25:54And you imagine me in that pastor saying, these are, you know, I've knew little, I knew
- 25:58you little, I, I've been since he was, since he was five years old and now he's 22 years
- 26:04old and he's gone.
- 26:05And these pastors wanted to go to the front line where their memory conscripted and be
- 26:09able to go and minister them on the battlefield because Ukraine didn't really have a chaplaincy.
- 26:13And so, but, but these pastors don't know how to sleep in the woods, poop in the woods,
- 26:17you know, not be a burden to the troops, how to be a chaplain, how to minister to people
- 26:21dealing with PTSD.
- 26:22They didn't know how to apply medical, you know, first aid and not be a burden.
- 26:26So we decided, we saw that need and so my deokes and our team and my deokes, these are
- 26:31guys who came through my deokes as students and now become team leaders and want to go
- 26:35around the world and pay it forward, put together a program that trained, and again,
- 26:41now it's been over 300 chaplains, trained these pastors to be chaplains and equip them
- 26:44and supply them the move forward and help coordinate and move forward to the front line.
- 26:47So they can minister to their congregate members on the front lines and their communities.
- 26:51And it's been an amazing thing to watch our team do that and be part of that.
- 26:56Wow, incredible, incredible things happening behind the scenes.
- 27:00We're thankful for you to share some of that insight.
- 27:03And in the books, friends, both a mission without borders and saving a Z's and encourage
