- 0:48[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, everybody, Brian's material with the I'm team series and your daily influence.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_01]: And today, we're going to talk a little bit about AI and how AI, it's not a strategy.
- 1:01[SPEAKER_01]: It's something that we use as a tactic and it's leverage.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_01]: So look, artificial intelligence is quickly becoming one of the most talked about tools in business today.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_01]: If not already, have become that number one talked about tool, everywhere we turn there's promises that AI will transform organizations, replace processes, and solve problems, you know, almost instantly in
- 1:27[SPEAKER_01]: It's, you know, if you want to scale, it's in AI, but you know, I have a lot to say about that.
- 1:34[SPEAKER_01]: There's an important distinction leaders must understand that AI just isn't a strategy.
- 1:41[SPEAKER_01]: It's leverage.
- 1:43[SPEAKER_01]: Like every technology before an AI simply amplifies what already exists inside an organization.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_01]: If discipline, clarity, and accountability are present, AI can accelerate progress.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: If confusion, poor decision-making, and weak leadership exist,
- 2:01[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I will only help those problems move faster.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_01]: For leaders and business owners, the real question is not should we use AI?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: The real question is, what kind of discipline are we amplifying?
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: So look, these tools should not replace thinking.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_01]: It's one of the biggest frustrations I have with AI.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: It goes along with...
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: Everything throughout history, every new technology is created the same temptation to confuse capability with wisdom.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: And yeah, I know AI smart and it can collect all this data and it can act like it's thinking for us, but it's quite frankly just not human.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I can generate content.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: It can analyze data, it can build reports, it can part of a tasks, but it cannot replace
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: Leaders must still decide what problems are we solving what outcomes are we pursuing and what values guide our decisions
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: Technology can assist with execution, but it cannot determine direction.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_01]: In smart management, strategy begins with clarity, specific outcomes, measurable progress, and discipline, execution.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, I can now organize and accelerate those activities, but it cannot decide what matters most.
- 3:22[SPEAKER_01]: The thinking must still come from the leader or from the humans.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_01]: Another risk of AI adaptation is the quieter erosion of accountability.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: When systems become powerful, people can begin to defer responsibility to the tool itself.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_01]: We ran it to AI, can be a common feedback loop that I hear, or the system recommended it, or the model predicted it.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_01]: But responsibility cannot be outsourced to a machine.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: Leaders must still create and manage guardrails.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_01]: clear decision authority, verification of outputs, and human accountability for final decisions.
- 4:01[SPEAKER_01]: AI should inform decisions, not make them, and when accountability remains clear AI becomes a powerful assistant.
- 4:09[SPEAKER_01]: When accountability disappears, technology simply becomes a sophisticated way to avoid responsibility.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_01]: The most effective organizations do not use AI to bypass process.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_01]: They use AI to reinforce discipline.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_01]: For example, automating reporting improves transparency.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_01]: An AI-assisted analysis improves decision quality.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_01]: and workflow automation will improve consistency and speed, but none of those things replace the foundational structure called a well-run organization, strategy, planning, culture, accountability and leadership aid, you're still determined outcomes.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_01]: AI simply accelerates the system that already exists.
- 4:54[SPEAKER_01]: If discipline is strong, AI multiplies results, and if discipline is weak, AI multiplies chaos.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_01]: So look, artificial intelligence is one of the most powerful tools leaders have we have ever had access to, but tools do not create success.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_01]: People do.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_01]: When leaders combine clear thinking, discipline systems, and responsible influence with the power of AI, the result is extra ordinary leverage.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_01]: The one technology replaces thinking, discipline, or accountability, that outcome is usually confusion, movie, faster.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_01]: A.A. is not a strategy.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: It is leverage and leverage always amplifies a system that already exists.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: The question for leaders today is simple.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_01]: What kind of discipline are you accelerating?
- 5:43[SPEAKER_01]: I hope you've enjoyed today's daily influence.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_01]: Hope you'll join us again in the future for another episode.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_01]: Have a great day.
