  here! Last time, Elijah was taken up, and Elisha

  saw it happen. Elisha picked up Elijah's cloak,

  and God's work continued through him. Now we
• 0:22
  begin to see what that looks like. What happens
• 0:26
  when God works through Elisha? Today, we'll hear
• 0:31
  about two moments. One where a place is made
• 0:34
  well again, and another where God provides in
• 0:38
  a surprising way. Are you ready? Let's jump in.

  Elisha came to a city. The people there had a
• 1:02
  problem. They told him that the land looked good
• 1:05
  but the water was not good. Because of the water,
• 1:09
  the land could not be used properly. The people
• 1:13
  were in need. Elisha asked for a new bowl with
• 1:18
  salt in it. He went to the spring where the water
• 1:22
  came from. He threw the salt into the water.
• 1:26
  Then he spoke about what the Lord would do, that
• 1:30
  the water would be made clean. And the water
• 1:33
  became good. From that day on, the water remained
• 1:38
  clean. God had provided for the people. Later,
• 1:43
  a woman came to Elisha. She was a widow. Her
• 1:48
  husband had served the Lord, but he had died.
• 1:52
  Now she was in trouble. A creditor was coming
• 1:56
  to take her two sons to be servants, because
• 1:59
  she could not pay what she owed. She cried out
• 2:03
  to Elisha for help. Elisha asked her what she
• 2:08
  had in her house. She said she had only a small
• 2:12
  jar of oil. Elisha told her to go and borrow
• 2:16
  empty jars from her neighbors. Many jars. Then
• 2:21
  she was to go inside. close the door, and pour
• 2:25
  the oil into all the jars. The woman did exactly
• 2:30
  as she was told. She gathered jars. She went
• 2:35
  inside with her sons and began to pour from her
• 2:38
  small jar into all the jars she collected. And
• 2:42
  the oil kept coming. Each jar was filled. And
• 2:46
  it did not stop until there were no more jars
• 2:50
  left. Then the oil stopped. The woman went back
• 2:55
  to Elisha and told him what had happened. He
• 2:59
  told her to sell the oil. She would have enough
• 3:02
  to pay her debt and enough to live on. God had
• 3:06
  provided for her and her family. In both stories,
• 3:21
  people had real problems. What were they? Elijah
• 3:29
  asked the woman what she already had. Why do
• 3:33
  you think that matters? The oil kept pouring
• 3:40
  until there were no more jars. What does that
• 3:44
  show us about God's provision? What do these
• 3:50
  stories teach us about how God cares for people?

  God sees needs, both big and small. And sometimes
• 4:02
  he provides in ways we would not expect. Thanks
