- Blake: Welcome back everybody to the one and only Mention It All Again podcast. I'm Blake and I'm with my co-host Casey. Hello, Casey. Casey: Hey Blake, hey listeners, watchers, friends of the pod, how are we? Blake: Who whoever you might be, we are we have a lot of ground to cover, so we're gonna just dispel with the pleasantries and get right into it. This is the best of the motherfucking queen, Nini MF Leaks, and y'all. When I say the best of is a lot, there's a lot of best of. Casey: Right. And like to precede this because I just know I've done this before and I'm doing it again. I just know it's gonna come. You forgot this. You forgot this one. Okay. We know we love her. Literally I would I would do this we could sit on this call for eight hours long and go through Nini Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: leaks and break down every single word choice and sentence structure and tone Blake: Ha ha. Casey: and and diction but we cannot because we have jobs and we need to watch our own television to soothe our souls. So we can't do that. So yes, Blake: We need leisure time. Casey: we're gonna miss things. And if you're super mad about it, send us what y we missed and we'll do another episode because this is the queen and she has plenty of best moments. Like you could keep going and going and going if you really wanted to. Blake: Yeah. I mean I I just whoever if that's your first reaction to listening to this episode Casey: Yeah. Blake: is you missed this, you missed that, then I would just ask you to ask yourself, would you want to listen to a five hour podcast episode? Would you? And I think we all Casey: They're like, Yeah, you guys are the best ever. Blake: And you know what if the answer is yes, then actually I'm sorry. Then I am sorry and Because you guys are super fans and that's that's you know, I didn't expect that. Casey: Beautiful accountability tonight, Blake. Blake: But I suspect that you want a a a reasonably sized podcast episode, so we are trying our absolute best, but I'm still telling you we have a lot of moments. And we just have to get into it because this is jam motherfucking packed. as it should be for the Queen. So we're gonna go chronologically, we didn't rank because that's impossible. And I think it just Casey: Impossible. Blake: it's impossible and it's fun to just see the evolution. So we're gonna start obviously season one and make our way onward. So Casey, why don't you why don't you lead us into our first best of Nini Leaks? Casey: So we're gonna fast forward through season one, which isn't that many episodes for our first best moment, and we're gonna go right into the reunion and visit Nene in an iconic purple sweater, ready to make history. Blake: Kim Kim immediately conceding. Is he legally married? Absolutely. A hundred percent. Okay, so she was so she was correct. Casey: Okay, Kim in like old school movie theater employee chic. Like why is she wearing Blake: Ha ha. Casey: like a vest over a yellow yellow satin So true, that's so true. Yeah Blake: A yellow satin that's like a very Lisa Vanderpump like shirt to wear. It's like magician core, like w who dresses like that? Casey: You know, did you ever watch Drake and Josh? Like Crazy Steve Blake: Yes. Casey: was he it looks like Crazy Steve's uniform. Like if it had just like the little icon on it and it but Blake: Yeah. Casey: Not about her anyways, but I just had I had to get Blake: Hey. Casey: that out. But obviously this is one of the Queen's first like cemented iconic quotes. This is still brought up in twenty twenty six and season one was quite some time ago. Early Housewives, before Housewives even had like a dossier of iconic quotes. So she was really paving the way, as she literally always is in all of her early Housewives actions. Like Nene is the blueprint, especially Especially here, you know, just a little classic old school housewives slut shaming, a healthy dose of scorn of your sins, you know, keeping it keeping it fun, keeping it light. Blake: it's really also hilarious because first of all, for her to pull that out, to whip that out the first season, like you knew that she was going to be an iconic housewife, but then we d we don't have it here because we have a lot of clips that we need to get into, but I implore all of our listeners to go on YouTube and Google Nini Watch What Happens Live Kim because I I some of you've probably seen it, I'm sure. It's just so fucking iconic. But basically Nini's on Watch What Happens Live. They have Kim call in from the Bahamas to like crash Nini's interview. And then it it like it was supposed to be just like a quick little like jabby banter, but then like the show was about to end. So they have like an extended like after show. Where Kim stays on the line. It's like a nine-minute long video. And Nini like keeps saying, close like she she's like filibustering Kim because Kim is like trying to talk and she's like, Why are you calling into a show that I am on? You are so interested in what I am doing. And then Kim tries to say something and she just like screams, Close your legs to married men. Close your legs to marry like over and over and over. It's like a song. And then she whips out like Monster Hooker. Trash box like she just like she l is ad-libbing like she's like fucking going in with all these like creative terms for Kim. and I just think that really I just think that's like hitting the ground running as a housewife. Like there's Casey: Beautiful, yeah. Blake: no way you can't just immediately take off like a a shooting star as a housewife when that's how you basically debut. And I I don't think anyone comes close to like a first season where you have an immediate like memorable line like that. Casey: No, definitely not. I mean I don't I I'm of the opinion that no one comes close to Nene as a housewife, period. Like she's just the housewife to me. Like, doesn't matter about the first, the whoever, the the longest. I don't really gaff. Like it's Nini's Blake: No. Casey: the housewife. She's the standard. And her iconer is so vast. Like she is so multi talented in her in her delivery, in the stuff sh she brings to the show, including In season two, episode six, so like we're a little bit into season two, she just like dreams up. And actually what she says is everybody in Atlanta is really into these alter ego photo shoots. Question mark, fact check. I don't know if this is true. Everybody being into these Whatever. I d I I wasn't seeing them around the town, but according to Nene, they like had to do these alter ego photo shoots. And it's so America's next top model. Like I w if I had a fact checker again, I'd have them look up like when America's next top model came out and like when this episode aired. Because I feel like Nini had to be taking some inspo and trying to kind of nibble Blake: Yeah. Casey: at Tyra's nachos a bit. Like Nini's the director Blake: I think Casey: and the and the mind behind the shoot too. So like she she Blake: America's Casey: She brings the women. Blake: next top model it came out in like two thousand and one or two thousand and two. It was really so Casey: It was pretty early, yeah. Blake: she definitely was taking some inspiration. Casey: She was nibbling, yeah. And it's she's she invites the cast members, which at the time is Sheree, Kim, Candy, and Lisa Woo in season two. And she comes up with their concepts, sort of. Candy was like allowed to do her own concept, question mark, but Nene came up with everybody else's. Blake: Well, Nene initially wanted Kim to be some type of like a black woman and Kim was like Kim shockingly had the like foresight to be like that Casey: The sense. Blake: yeah, this the good sense to say like maybe not, so she rejected that. I and we're not gonna get into like everyone's shot, but but she k I and I feel like Nene had to have been setting her up there. Like that's a that's a setup. Casey: Yeah, probably. But honestly that that is very Tyra Banks because that is something that happens on America's next top model. So maybe she just got carried Blake: Yup, yeah. Casey: away, maybe she did a A antium marathon and she just really got into character and she was like Come on Blake: And she was like, fuck, I can't like I can't say like, guys, I watched America's next top model, we should imitate this. So she said everyone Casey: Right. Blake: in Atlanta is really into these, which is just like complete bullshit. Casey: She's like, perfect. We're gonna give Candy the sob story set. And then Kim is gonna do the blackface, and we pretty much Blake: Ha ha Casey: have America's next top model. So let's let's Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: get it going. But briefly, we're gonna touch on Candy's picture just because it's it's like I can't talk about this photo shoot without talking about Candy's photo. Cause like I said, Nene like pretty much tells everybody else what they're gonna do, but Candy, Candy's like, I have this vision of I'm gonna be the dr the drunk driver and the the struck pedestrian to like raise awareness because one of my family members was hit by a drunk driver. It's like, well that's not really an alter ego. Like does that doesn't really have anything to do with you, does it? Like, okay. Blake: My alter ego it my alter ego Casey: It's a drunk driver. Blake: I'm like it's like cause it's like, okay, so which one is like her like her truth and then which one Casey: Right. Blake: is she like that's my alter ego? And in either role it's it's unsettling, regardless of how you wanna put it. Like I'm either relating to the drunk driver, obviously problematic, or I'm relating to the woman who is sprawled across the windshield, the cracked windshield. With blood everywhere, dead. Which again doesn't make any sense. Casey: my god. It's so funny. And we'll Blake: Yeah. Casey: we'll pick it here. But like the drunk driver POV, she has like mascara tears coming down. Like she's all disheveled. She's Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: holding like a brown bag, like bottle of liquor. Nene directing her is like, hold your hands up, like some shrapnel is is coming at you. Like and the the victim Blake: I love her. She's like she's like, look, look like pain is on your face. And then she like mind you, like candy's like sprawled over the windshield. She goes, less on the teeth. Casey: And the victim outfit is like a like pink and white like checkered like sheep herder, like with like a like a a banged, like nice Blake: It's like Red Riding Hood or something. Like like this Casey: long wig in like blood. Like like like all victims of drunk driving are like perfect perfect angels. Blake: Like this like Right And all all like all drunk drivers have like their bottle of liquor in a brown paper Casey: Right. Blake: bag while they're driving with one hand and crying like Casey: 'Cause actively drunk driving I would have to guess is a is a lower percentage than like leaving the drunk. The drunkstonation, you know? So she kind of took a Blake: Right. Casey: radical, a radical angle to this. but yeah, Nene was really impressed with her on set. Like it really was giving ANTM. Like Nene like, wow, this was emotional. Candy came and delivered. Like she she was wowed by Candy's work ethic and her her artistic vision for the shot. And some other ones she wasn't as wowed. Like Kim, Kim set. Nene has a confessional during Kim's photo shoot and it's like as a director you can only do so much. Like Like we'll see what we get. We'll see what we get from that, but it's not on me though. Like don't blame me. Blake: Like this woman is a walking train wreck. I can only clean up so much. It's just a mess. Casey: She's like, I have two photos in my hands. And Kim, it's not yours. Please pack your bags and leave the competition. But Blake: And take your cigarettes with you. Casey: this is so good for Nene. And she does her own shot too, like, which calls upon her her own herstery of of being a former stripper. And like her alter egos are like a prudish woman who like doesn't doesn't mess with strippers, like hesitant to like tip them. Blake: She's like she's like pinching a dollar d a dollar bill like and handing it over to the stage and then in the next shot she's like like death dropping like on a pole like honestly she looked fierce like she looked fab Casey: No, she looks good. And in a beautiful transfer of power, she lets Candy direct her for her shot. Blake: Ha ha. Casey: So they have this this beautiful handshake here, and Candy is like, now look dis look more disgusted. Like and don't Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: and look like the stripper is disgusting. And Nene's like, But it Blake: Candy's like like she's like less on the teeth, Nene. Casey: Yeah. It's so good. And as as a reality TV enjoyer, clearly, by how much I keep referencing ANTM, like this really meant a lot to me. And I feel like it's so Nene because it shows like a different side than just like the memeable lines. Like she also was making every episode memorable in like ways like this, where she just had like these crazy ideas where to Nini, that's just her like, this is what we're gonna do today for filming. Like, let's go. But for us, it becomes an iconic moment and it's so So much more interesting than just like the classic like housewives at lunch, housewives shopping. Like Nini was always giving Blake: Right. Casey: us inventive maybe we were making fun of some of them a little bit, but we were always enjoying them. So had to give it up for the alter ego photo shoot. Stream Alter Ego by Dochi. Blake: And then that very same season, season six, no season two, excuse me, season Casey: Season two Blake: two Casey: Just see it if you're paying attention. Blake: That was a test and you all failed. we move to the reunion. this is the famous wig shift season where Sheree tugs on Kim's wig. but we get this little Easter egg at the reunion and Nini is very funny about the way that she talks about it. Lindsay Lohan's daddy, you're not a part of it. Casey: So obsessed with her. She's so me when I get drunk and like I hear like one juicy piece of information, like I won't let it go. Like every other sentence, Lindsay Lohan Daddy. Like, she's like, wait a second, Mr. Mr. Lindsay Lohan Daddy. And I I Blake: Yeah. Casey: particularly like, I mean, she says like four different sentences about him back to back to back, but I particularly love you're not in this, Mr. Lohan, when the women are are like fighting. Blake: When he gets astray and she's like, Take your ass back to Malibu Like Casey: And she's taller than him. Like she's like Like literally like stallioning over him. And Blake: Standing over him. Casey: it's just too good. And actually, this is cut out of the actual episode. Cause we were looking for Blake: Yeah. Casey: this. We were, you know, of course, recalled this as an iconic moment. And I'm like, Am I hallucinating Blake? I feel like I just rewound through this episode like four times and I I can't Blake: Ha. Casey: find it. Like I know it happened. Where is it? And Blake: Yeah. Casey: so I'm I'm determined. And as we finally watched the reunion, I was like, wait. They play it here. They weren't they weren't clever enough. He wasn't cle he wasn't clever enough in his cease and desist to say and at the reunion playback please remove me. Blake: And at the Please just never play this. and for some fun, like trivia, some lore, we didn't clip this either, just go search it on YouTube. When Nene was kind of became more of like a public figure after the cup first couple of seasons, she was on some entertainment talk show and they were interviewing Lindsay Lohan's daddy, and they Nene and Lindsay Lohan's daddy get into a huge fight on on air and she's basically screaming at him like you're a terrible father you're a terrible father and then he starts like essentially calling her fat and she's like she's like you don't want it from me you don't want it from me you don't want Casey: Haha! Blake: to make me like it's literally on air honestly it's so good and I think it's funny because it's like it's like knowing that the first time they ever met she told him to take his ass back to Malibu and then later they're having this interview. Casey: She degaff. Blake: She does not give a fuck but honestly like I don't know much about Lindsay Lahane's dad, but I can probably assume he's not a good a good father. Casey: Right. I'm let's just default that he's not. Like I believe believe women, believe women. Case closed. Blake: Like, Team Nene Believe Women. And c case closed, guilty. Alright, and then we move to season three. which is the iconic, like, Nini is so Kim and Candy are like touring for can Candy, you know, actually has a music career, and then Kim is touring for like her one song. Casey: Kim is joining on, yeah. Blake: Yeah, in like the tour bus, and she's being a like a nightmare about it, and then At one point Nene joins to like be like, What's up? And immediately Casey: T. Blake: she and Kim almost like physically assault each other. and then they immediately arrive to Miami for like Cynthia's Bachelorette like weekend or whatever. And Nene is not Nene invites someone that she didn't tell everyone else she was gonna invite and like just did not ask permission or anything. and also is mad because like Kim brought Sweetie. Casey: Right. So after being mad and making a stink about Kim bringing Sweetie, like on their trip and not like pre announcing it, she then brings somebody. So obviously this grinds Kim's gears and and we get we get a moment. To us. Blake: Before you end to before you end up over in the ocean. I have a friend who says that all the time. Like the cheers to the girls' weekend. Cheers, bitch. You better watch them B words. Like he like it's Casey: Mm-hmm. Blake: like a like a a what's it called? Like a Casey: Cheers. Blake: It's like a a stim. A stim. Like it's his like stim. Casey: yeah. Yeah. Blake: He says it all the fucking time. But I also do genuinely feel like Kim puts on like a facade, but I do think she is kind of afraid of Nene. Like I think she knows Nini like is is like more Casey: Yeah. But Blake: powerful than her. Casey: to that point though, I kind of thought during this, I'm like I agree with you that she definitely is afraid of Nene. And honestly, like I probably would be a little bit too. Like, that's a verbal sparring opponent that I wouldn't want. Like, especially if I'm drinking and trying to relax, I would not be able to to play ball with Nene. Like I'd be like, girl, you're hilarious. Blake: Yeah. Casey: Like, that was everything. Like, I am annoying. Like, you're right. But Blake: Dragomy Queen Casey: I kind of think Props to Kim a little bit. Like she puts on a good front of pretending like it's not bothering her all that much. Like, you know, Blake: Yeah. Casey: immediately countering back with cheers and like tipping her drink. Like, you know, it's just like that is that is a cemented moment of like, you guys are both good for this this show. Like, 'cause if you're not, if you're a regular person, you're probably like, what? Blake: Yeah. Casey: She's staying in your friend's room. Cheers to the girls' weekend. I can say at least like as a woman who's been in many groups of w female friends, I've acted like one eighth of the percentage of this, and I have lost many a friend. So I I like props to the Kim for just kind of rolling with it. Like I definitely would be like, what are what are we Blake: Yeah. Casey: doing right now? Like, but you know, they create they create us. A television moment and that's what real working women do. Blake: And I think that the best dynamics on Housewives are always when you have those like two like it's giving like Giselle and Karen, like they're both Casey: Yeah. Blake: equally so powerful and strong and like have their own moments and like have like they have their own Casey: I mean Nene definitely like outdoes Kim. I know that you n y Blake: for sure. Casey: I know that you and I know that, but just in case our listener was like, Is Blake saying Kim is equal to Nene? Like, no, no, no, no. No, no, no. No, no, no, no. Sorry. Blake: No, no, no, no. No, no, no, no, no. But like but Kim Casey: Like I can't let that even like potentially stir Blake: Absolutely not. Absolutely not. But they both have their own center of gravities. They both like Casey: Yeah, no, for sure. Blake: they both are very big personalities. And I think that when you see like two friendship like like a friendship on Housewives like that, like Giselle Karen, Vicky Tamara, it's always the best TV because you get two sides that like have equal force. I mean I will say like when Kim and Nene fight, there can be equal force. Like I don't think that as a housewife, Kim is the same as like equal to Nene. But like they both put up a good fight against each other. Casey: Well, yes, and I think that the grounding factor in that is usually being delusional. Like that's what makes you Blake: Yes. Casey: a player in those moments. Like you have to be a little bit delusional, or at least one out of the two parties has to be. Like I would say Kim carries more of the delusion than Nene, and that's what allows Kim to play ball with her because if she wasn't delusional, she would be aware that Nene beats her in Blake: Is Casey: every single category and like why even bother right Blake: Yeah. She would eventually whimper Casey: Like just quit. Like just stop. Yeah. So like obviously Blake: away and like crawl into a bush or something. Like Yeah, like why are you being humiliated constantly? Casey: she doesn't get it. And like that's what works best in a lot of those duos with like Giselle Karen. Karen carries a lot of the delusion. Giselle carries like the snark, but like they bring each other they make each other a little more likable. I would say Arguably you could even give a little bit of that to like the Lisa Whitney, the Meredith Whitney. There's a little bit of like that Blake: definitely. Casey: like delusional like being real pull. Which yeah, I agree with you. I think that creates some pretty damn good television, especially when they can bounce back quickly. And Nene and Kim quickly maybe isn't the right ad. verb for them, but they do tend to bounce back at least enough to give us good television every like three seasons. It might take a couple, Blake: Yeah. To keep it moving. Casey: yeah. Blake: Yeah. And I I will say Segway alert, but I think that another one who really can hold their own against Nini is Sheree. So let's fast forward to season four, where Casey: Which starts off with a bang. Blake: star of the first goddamn episode is a sit down between Nini and Sheree, at some like wine bar Casey: It's lovely. God, to be at a wine bar with Nene and Therese, like, fuck Blake: Like Nene asks for s my god and and like Nene orders like a glass of sweet wine and then she's like, I guess you can get her a glass of this too. Like which is actually Right, and I'm like, that's actually like her kind spirit because they were about to beef and she knew they were about to beef. And she was Casey: Right. Blake: like, get get the lady a glass. Casey: Right, like does John Cena order champagne for his opponent in the ring? No. And he's a very Blake: No. Casey: class act man, but Nini does. Right before the ring. Blake: No, Nene Nene is the classiest. And so they are beefing about I guess they were doing a joint appearance and allegedly Sh Sheree thinks, because she was told by this man Tyrone, who had something to do with the booking, that Nene had called Tyrone and said, I could have gotten Sheree for cheaper, and then we could have taken the rest off the top or something. So Sheree is like upset at this potential, like trying to take money out of her pocket situation, and it devolves so quickly because Sheree tries to call Tyrone in the middle of the conversation. Casey: And Cheree also has like this underpinning of resentment too. Like she says in a confessional, like Nene success has gone to her head. Like she she thinks she's like better than all of us. Like so you kind of get the sense that like Sheree has an issue with this like Tyrone situation and Diana's involved somehow to Diana of the girls' weekend who we who we just saw. Blake: Ha ha Casey: Like she she was causing problems, Diana. But but you can tell that like that sort of a thing which Sheree definitely feels vindicated when Nene kinda starts going with this angle. Blake: You are the one losing houses and cars. And I my favorite fucking thing about Nini, and it's actually such a powerful like rhetorical device to employ when you're in an argument with someone, just keep saying the same thing louder and louder and louder so they can't get a word in edgewise. Like that makes you not only seem right and confident, but then it's also like I'm not get I'm not letting you spar back with me. Like this conversation is over, and Casey: And then leave. Blake: then leave. And then le and leave she does. They're done! She she looked so good. She was hitting all the angles. They're done. They're done. Casey: So good. She looks so good here. Like honestly, they both look so good here. Like this is such a a Blake: No, these are two mothers, like Casey: like this is a a mothering 101 crash course. Like just sit down and take notes and study. Blake: A mother off like classes in session Casey: And study up for real. But yeah, I mean this is incredible. What a way to start a season and what a way to banter with your coworkerslash friend. I mean, they're both on one, like they're both mad as hell. And Sheree is actually this is a thing that Sheree does a lot. And she True to her nickname of the bone carrier is not one to let something go and when people try to like walk out on her she tends to to ch to chase them to chase them down Blake: She really like I I honestly think like Sheree doesn't get enough credit for being a formidable opponent. Sheree She doesn't always like have the most biting like response, but she will not She's like a dog with a bone. She will not let off. And if Casey: Dude. Bookmark this for us to just do a Sheree episode because I'm like I'm like about to start beaming. Blake: Yes, yes. Casey: Like I just can't say enough good things about her. Like she she Blake: I'm obsessed with Cheree. Casey: is so special and and so important to me. Like I love Nene, but I'm like almost like a little bit intimidated by Nene in terms of like if I was gonna like sit down and hang out with a housewife, like I would I see myself vibing a little more with Sheree because like Nene, I'd be like so like like she's like kind of like a holy figure to me. Like I don't Blake: That's true. Casey: even like Like I don't even feel like Nene and I like I I'm I'm sc I'm I'm intimidated. Like Like I literally Blake: Like how do you speak to Jesus? You know, like what do you say? Casey: like that's like too much for me. Like that's like a never meet your hero situation. Like maybe for a pick, but I couldn't like have a drink with her, but like Wow, I wish I wish I could sit down with Sheree Whitfield. my god, I'm about to start crying. Wow, Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: she is a treasure. She is an absolute treasure. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: You guys are like, okay, is this the Nene episode or the Sheree episode? I love them both so much. Like I love the Atlanta Blake: I Casey: women so much. This is just a testament to how great they are that you can be doing a best of of the Queen and it's Blake: Mm-hmm. Casey: so easy to get distracted because they're all so funny and so charismatic and delights. Blake: I I when this podcast, you know, gets to like a million v downloads, streams, whatever, Casey: Yes. Blake: I really hope and pray that one of our loyal fans puts together a supercut of all the times Casey: Yeah. Blake: that you cried on this podcast. Casey: I would love that. I would love that. my god, I almost wanna do it myself. No, I'll wait for a fan. I'll I'll wait for a fan to do it. Like Blake: No, and the thing is I believe there will be a fan who has like the editing prowess and the like attention span where I actually like I foresee this in our future and I forgive me if there is a fan listening now who is who's already on it but I I foresee Casey: Great. Blake: I I foresee us having the level of loyalty and just community where a fan is gonna be like, you know what? Fucking fuck it. Edit of Casey from Dimension All again pod crying on every single episode. And then it's like they play just enough context so that you can see how different the context of you crying are, but all of them are like happy tears. Except for Casey: I know. Blake: that one time you cried because you were like scared of Jax Taylor on like the on the Casey: He's really scary. It could it could be anything, honestly, but it's usually happy. You're right. It's usually like in awe, in awe parentheses, happy joy, happy, joy, joy. Randomly scared, happy, happy, joy, joy, scared. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: But yeah, one day I I can't wait to see it. And you know we treasure our devoted fans. Well, all fans, I guess, but our devoted fans the most. Blake: Well you I would just I would hope that all of the fans are devoted personally, but that's okay if you're casual. I'm I guess we'll take it. Casey: Casual our situationship listeners. We care about you too. After an explosive intro, thanks to The mothers who I I won't speak about how much I love before I get sent into hysterics again. Blake: Yeah. Casey: We move on to a slightly more low-key event, which is Nene in her like sort of single era when her and Greg are they fully divorce, right? Like when they're separated. Yeah. So sh they Blake: Yeah. Yeah. Casey: they fully divorce before they they get back together. So she's single even though she doesn't like really date anybody else. But she has this meeting with some guy and he's her business partner but is into her. So like the the lines the lines are foggy between the two. and he looks like his name is John and he kind of has this similar vibe to Dorindo's John from New York. He's like greasy yeah. Blake: Greasy. He has like that like slicked back, like it looks like he was like like pig fat in his hair and he's just like it looks like he like sells used cars for a living, like just overall like bad vibes. Casey: So accurate, so accurate. Yeah. And I mean, like, sorry to him if he's a listener, like sorry. We didn't Blake: Ha ha. Casey: we didn't mean to upset you. Like I'm sure I'm sure that you just were looking for love in all the wrong places. But Blake: Hehehehe Casey: but he you know, in future don't go after your business partners because he's supposed to be like helping her with like a restaurant lounge idea. Blake: He's f he's helping her open the Linethe Lounge, which actually is a thing. Like, that's a lounge that L Nini did open. But like years after Casey: okay. Blake: this season. but I guess this is when she like conceived the idea and he was supposed to like help her open up. So they're like meeting at the venue that would that they were thinking would maybe be the Lanethea Lounge and like Casey: Yeah, it looks like like a hotel like restaurant. Like it it isn't like anything chic. Blake: Yeah. It's not a lounge. Casey: Yeah. It it it looks pretty bare bones. Blake: And like Homeboy just pulled up straight on her and there were there was no taco business at all. Casey: no, like immediately she's like, this is a nice place, like it looks nice and he's like, Beautiful like you And it's like like my god, like is this a business meeting or no? Like Fuck Blake: You know, he like straight up starts like like glazing her, he's like, you know, like Casey: G Blake: I have a gift for you because you know, God answered my prayers and gave me you, like you're my gift and he's just like, okay. Casey: Well then it's like we've never heard of you. Like what do you mean she she like he's like I was so broken and like you put me back together and like the question marks that like were resounding in my head like who are you? I thought you were her business partner. Like what do you Blake: Like Casey: mean she put you back together again? Like HR HR Blake: What? Like I'm sorry, are you like a le are you I didn't realize you were like a Lego. Like what the hell is going on here? So Casey: It's so weird. Blake: he starts coming on to her and we get honestly like my personal ranking and I I a hundred percent am okay with people who disagree, but like this is my personal like just number one always in my head moment from Nini. We get this moment. Okay, the the like most underrated best part of that is when is when he's like, What do you think it means? And she goes, Like she's like, shit, Casey: Ha ha ha. Blake: like it's deep. Casey: No, for me on this specific watch through, it's Blake: Yeah. Casey: her like getting all chummy with him after the bling bling bitches is mad and like cackling and like hitting him on the shoulder. Like it's like that meme like when you cool with anybody. Like she was like, wait, now we're good. Like Blake: Yeah she's like she's like pleasure doing business with with ya buddy like this was a fun time. No, it's funny because like she does this she does this weird like high-pitched whispery breathy voice at first where she's like she's like Casey: Yeah. Blake: you you giving me a Rolex Like when has Nene ever sounded like that before? Casey: Okay. No, I didn't. Blake: She's like hello it's so good. Also, it's getting weird the mileage that it's getting Casey: my literal God. It's getting weird. Blake: weird has gotten on like Twitter as like a reaction video. Casey: But I still need to get this watch. Blake: bling bling bling bitches is mad he's like wait what's happening right now? I was uncomfortable like deeply. Casey: It's getting weird. It it was getting weird. Like it literally The way that her ability to deliver like four or five iconic lines in 45 seconds. Like even just the Blake: No Casey: sure. Yes, does that make you happy? Sure. Like yeah, I would also be a little bit weirded out if my r random ass quote unquote business partner gave me a thirty thousand dollar watch and then was like basically like kiss me. Blake: If you if you let it and you said it and you take care of it, it could last forever. Like d ex get get the fuck away. I'm calling the police. You're disgusting. Like what the f I do I do have to say to your point though, like a little BTS for the listener slash viewer or whatever you are. because she is sort of like a machine gun of like one liners. It was so hard to make this episode because even boiling it down to certain moments, I was 'cause when I was watching it thinking like what clips should I tell Casey to make, I was like, okay, but they're like this entire scene of like five minutes has like three different like moments within it. Casey: Right. This Rolex scene is like probably like three or four minutes long and I would clip the whole thing and and play it if that like feasibly made sense for an entertaining podcast, but it doesn't because that would just be the show. But it's a really great Blake: Then we would just be watching the show. But I will say, if we ever get Casey: scene, like from from moment from beginning to end. Like she is so funny. Blake: If we ever get to do a live show, it would be really fun to then like play li well Casey: We will. What do you mean if Blake: i sorry, when excuse me. When we have a live show, it would be really fun to like then play like more like the a larger scene and then honestly like kind of pass the mic around to the audience and be like, what do you fucking think about that? Or Casey: Or or even even like pre live show if we did like like if we got to like have a little space in a bar and like play episodes and like Kiki, that would be tea. And that's probably more Blake: Yes Yes Okay, bookmarked. Casey: doable than a live show. I mean, obviously Blake: Well, we're we're we're gonna work our way up, okay? Casey: we'll get there, but like for like the the short term like Blake: Right, period. And y and you heard it first here, folks. Sho out Casey: And you know who will be there? Dave B. We love you. Blake: ow Dave V. Dave, I'm if you hear this, if you w the minute you hear this, comment on our picture, on our newest post, comment thanks for the shout out or something like that to confirm that you heard it because we really love the fuck out of you. You're amazing. Casey: Me giving a gift. Immediately tell me how much you like it, please. Thank you. No, no, we love you, Davey. Davey, you're Davy, you're the fan of the week, of the month. We love you. And period. And Blake: Period. Okay, wait, take us to the next Casey: that shows how much we really pay attention and love y'all. Like it's not, we're not bots. Like we're real. Blake: where we're we're in the fucking replies. We're in the replies. We're in the walls. Period. Casey: And speaking of the walls, God, our segue game tonight is is so good. Blake: Speaking of the walls of Kenya's temporary hotel apartment from season six, episode four. Casey: Speaking of the walls, apartments have walls. And Blake: And you know who was staying in an apartment? Season six, episode four? Kenya. And we're not now we're in Kenya's walls. Casey: That's right. Blake: And now we're in Kenya's walls. Why don't you tell us set the scene? Set the scene for us. Casey: A beautiful hangout between close friends occurs in a in a tropical destination. I'm about to start crying. In a tropical destination. Blake: Wait, two in one episode is crazy. I think this is a first. Of Casey: In a tropical tears coming down, yeah. Okay. In a tropical destination. And fun is had an interior design is questioned. But I've I've split this up. I've split this up into interior and exterior reactions. Blake: My god. I'm actually you you cry, I sweat. Like that's what happens when when Casey: Or Blake: we both start laughing, I'm like fanning myself because I'm like It's liquids. The body is so interesting. Casey: Or it's it's liquids leaving the body time on the Mia pod. play play Nini arriving clip. Now Blake: The editors are so fucking shady. Casey: So I was just about to say like the producer's notes for like the editor's cut, like please collect images of the town looking desolate and run down for the for the intro shot. Blake: They're like googling like stalk sound of dog barking and police siren and then Casey: They're like, and when you get Kenya on her laptop, make sure you put her in the left corner of the shot and show like the wires of her printer instead of like zooming in. Like really make sure it looks just a little bit low class. Blake: Because okay, so so to that point, Nini and Kenya, this is so random, but I saw on Twitter somebody clipped they were on a podcast together recently, and Kenya actually said that like that was a shady moment of Nini's because the h the hotel that she was staying at was in like an a nice, like not a bad area and like was actually like a like a good hotel. Like she wasn't saying it was like a five star, but she was just like the whole thing was spun to make it seem like she was staying at some like shitty best western or whatever. And she was like, it was genuinely not that. And I think Nini like agreed. I I don't quote me on that. But I remember seeing that being like, my god, the curtain is pulled back. Damn, I was lied to by the editors who put the dog sound and the police siren Over the background. Casey: It's so funny. And she's only more disgusted by th the interior of the home. Reports have Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: it that white refrigerator stock has never recovered since this episode aired. Like she actually ended white refrigerators. Like if you own one, I'm so sorry, that's embarrassing. Blake: Mini sent the industry crashed. Wait, can I tell you my boyfriend told me a fun fact because he was like there when I was watching this this scene, and apparently, now if this is wrong, you can kill him. Don't come for me. But apparently, the of white refrigerators at one point were the class C refrigerators because the first refrigerators were like beige like they had like a tint of like beige or like yellow. Like I don't if I I've seen refrigerators like like an icebox. So the idea was that Casey: Yeah, I don't I don't want that. Yeah, I feel like maybe a while ago, not in a minute. Blake: a while ago, yeah. But like the idea was that white, like it it would be it's clean, it's pristine, like so they actually used to be fancy, obviously not at this point. but also like I can kind of see what she's talking about, Kenya, because if you are watching, you'll see the hotel, but if you're listening, there's like it's a suite. It's like a you have like a whole kitchen. Casey: Yeah. Blake: You have like it's it's very spacious and for that time that was like the t kind of decor. Like it wasn't you know, it wasn't like Casey: It just looks like a regular hotel. Like not a nice one. Like it just kind of looks like a regular Blake: Not a yeah. Casey: room. Like it has regular wallpaper. Like it's not like so busted, but it's not nice by any means. And like Blake: But it's not amazing, no. Casey: she definitely has like it doesn't help that like stuff's in bags. Like she has kind of like random stuff all over the place because she like had just moved there and like wasn't planning to Blake: Yeah. Right. Casey: stay there. So it just doesn't look put together. There's like no decor. Like so it just Blake: Okay. Also, how like honestly, I would have a rider in my fucking contract or something if I were on this show that would be like, you don't get to take your fucking camera and point it into my sink. What is in my sink is no one else's business. I don't need my Tupperware. I need you to see my Tupperware, 'cause Casey: That's that would be a fair thing to say, yeah. That that's invasive. I mean, but I guess on the flip side, like when cameras are coming over, like maybe clear your sink. Like I don't know. Blake: Clean up a little bit. That's true. Honestly, you I kinda you kinda gagged me with that one. That's that's I can't Casey: Yeah. Blake: argue with that. I you can't ar I can't argue with that. also Casey: Yeah. Blake: f like an I think like an more underrated moment of this scene is Casey: Yeah. Blake: Nini's interaction with Kenya's dog Velvet. It's like a shih tzu and she's acting like the dog is she's acting like it's mauling her. It's like trying to like bounce up on the little chair. She's like she's like Casey: It's the smallest dog in the world, like it's like barely interacting with her. That sounded like prehistoric, like Blake: I didn't really know that I I had that in me tonight. I feel like someone's Casey: We probably just lost like four listeners based on that. Like they're Blake: someone's ear pod is gonna like explode. They're gonna like Casey: I'm about start crying again. Like that was kind of scary. my god. Jesus. Jesus. Jesus Christ. I'm gonna move on from that one because I'm scared. I'm scared Blake: I'm sweating, Jesus Christ. I should have warned all of y'all, I'm sorry. Casey: of the like s aura that just came out of Blake's throat. But Season six is is really dense of Nini moments. Like season six I mean of everybody moments really. Like season six is just a great season. but it's a great season for Nini and there's a lot to cover. and one event that we could probably do a whole episode on this event. Like it's it's jam-packed, so it's You can already tell, like, we have diverted from the storyline. We've talked Sheree, we've talked Candy, like we're like best of Nini, and we're getting into the Kenya of it all. But it's hard, guys. It's hard. And the this is no exception at Nini's Pillow Talk event, which is like an Atlanta historic moment, I would say. Like this is one of the Blake: This is yeah, this is a Hall of Fame. Casey: Hundred percent. Housewives Hall of Fame, Atlanta Hall of Fame, both obviously. but Nene is having this like couples event and A unique thing about this that you probably won't remember because it's literally in the name, there's a lot of Kias invited to this event. Like there are like three or four couples of Kias that like aren't meant to be there and like everybody had a plus one. So like, you know, when you start inviting the Kias to the parties, like things can get a little crazy. So things do get crazy. But the theme is like, you know, couples event, we're gonna like do like, you know, the marriage game. Like that's what it's called, right? Like the get to know you g the couples game. Blake: Yeah, Casey: Like we're gonna do like the questions Blake: get to know your couple. Casey: of like, you know, who knows each other best? Let's do some saucy, like have you ever fucked another person in your marriage? Like, you know, adults Blake: Hey. Casey: trying to like keep their lives interesting. And they all wear pajamas. Like, so it's cute. It's a it's a cute little event. It's meant to be cute. Blake: Nene Nene's outfit is incredible. She has this little like Casey: She looks fab. Blake: cape that she keeps twirling every time she like turns a corner. Like she's phe phew Casey: It's a beautiful like lingerie nighty piece, but I will say it kind of gives me a little bit like Lady Gaga meat dress, because there are like these red pieces like around the nipple area. And it like a little bit to me reminds me of that. So that Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: sometimes makes me feel like, do I like this? But ultimately, no, it's so fab. And she looks really good in it. Like she's it's just that the event is so chaotic that it makes you feel more like meat dressy, but it's fab. And she had to dress iconically for an iconic night because things like immediately start getting crazy because Kenya shows up late and this immediately throws Nini off and she's mad as hell. I mean she was already like primed to be mad at Kenya because Kenya like the irritating one th this season and like l last season kind of too. Maybe always. Blake: Also also just like I have to say, and this happens across franchises, don't get me wrong, but the Atlanta women, like some of them I think need to like face justice for the the ways in which they are comfortable being extremely late to events. Like I'm talking two hours, three hours, like I would be frustrated if I got no text message and then you show up in the middle of an event like, hey, like everything's normal. Casey: Yeah, I mean all all housewives, like that goes for DeVri, Lisa Barlow, like we know we know Blake: for sure, yeah. Casey: the offenders. But yeah, I I agree with you. Like I mean, come on now. Especially when like, you know, break the fourth wall, like producers are waiting for you, cameras are up, like, you know, you're not only Blake: Yeah. Casey: just like missing an event, you're like messing like actually with a a work schedule of a lot of people. Blake: Right. You're trying to make good TV. And this is when Kenya shows up and Nene like opens the door and she's like, Hello, and then she slams the door in Kenya's face. Kenya's like, Alright, Casey: And Kenya just comes in anyways, but Blake: well, I'll let myself in. Casey: Kenya looks good too. She's in like a corset in like little, little undies or like shorts, like little booty undies. Like she looks, she looks contou too. But Nene is like, you think you look fabulous, but you really don't. Like Kenya's like, I do. And Nina's Nene's like, you don't. You really, really don't. So like this set Blake: She's like you want to, but you don't. Casey: set things in motion. But an iconic moment that happens, like before. Shit hits the fan at Pillow Talks that I love and like I kind of like hadn't thought about this one in a while. So I was happy to bring this one back into my my brain waves. They ask a question about the strip club, like something about like are you are you comfortable with your partner going to the strip club? Blah blah blah. Who cares? And Apollo Is very vocal about this. He's like, I love the strip club. Like, I'm allowed to go to the strip club. Like, and I'm totally comfortable bringing home my receipts because like my wife's my wife knows I'm going and I bring home my five thousand to eight thousand dollar receipts and I'm cool with that. And the women are all like, whoa, and Nene has to give it to him. Blake: He goes, I spend it on on drinks. I mean, eight G's on drinks is Casey: Eight G's Apollo Drinks. Like you spent eight thousand dollars on drinks. what's that Whitney Houston song like about cheating and it's like the receipt like it's You and your boys went out to eat. But if four of you went out, then two of you were really cheap. Like it's like, where is your expense adding up? Like what do you mean eight thousand? Like who the fuck were you with? Like seven seven men drinking Blake: Right. You spent eight thousand dollars at the strip club. Casey: top shelf liquor? Like and it's all on Blake: Right. And then there Casey: you? Blake: and there was no part of that that involved like paying a woman for something? Casey: And none of that was like extreme touching VIP plus plus like Blake: Hey, can I get the extreme touching package for six thousand dollars? Casey: Can you tell I've never been to a strip club for enthusiasm? Blake: I mean, I haven't either. I think that's that's a ma I like I actually really wanna go now and be like, do you guys have like anything Casey: Uh-huh. Blake: that's sort of like extreme touching, like a like a sort of package of sorts? Casey: Plus plus how can I get to eight thousand dollars on my receipt like Apollo? But like honestly, no, I I also kind of want to go to one and when I was in Massachusetts, like when I worked in like weird offices with like people that kind of sucked, like my coworker said this weird thing where like they would all go to the strip club like together. I'm like, I cannot think of a place I'd want to be less than the strip club with my peers. Blake: With your coworkers? That's crazy. Casey: Like men are so weird. Like these men were taking like the 22-year-old hires to the strip club. That's a conversation for another time off off record. But this is iconic. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: I mean the way that she looks at him, the genuine like Eight geez, Apollo. Blake: Wait, jeez. Casey: Like, she wasn't even looking for a moment. She was genuinely beside herself that Apollo said he comes home with an eight thousand dollar receipt and puts it on the counter. And Phaedra, like, it's not like Phaedra's like, hell yeah. Like she's no, like that's what I'm not cool with, is like the money. And like Cynthia's like, my god. So all the women are like aghast at this, but God, God love Nini for actually hitting him with the the hard questions. Blake: With the right, with the like what everyone else is thinking, and then we start getting people hitting each other with their fists as the night progresses. 'cause there were like there's the this like couple, like Natalie and her husband that Kenya Kia and Kia are there Casey: Kia and Kia are in attendance. Blake: and Kenya like had said something about how she like thinks they have like a common law marriage, their marriage is like fake or whatever the fuck. and Literally, Apollo and Kenya's like gay best friend Brandon like start brawling in the middle of this like hotel suite. Casey: Like literally brawling. Blake: And Nene just looks so stressed that her event has devolved into like WWE. if you're listening, it's a picture of Nene like grasping her scalp with her like short little wig and her meat dress lingerie. Casey: Her beautiful me dress. Yeah. She looks she looks stressed as hell. And this was and it it was necessary, like or justified. This was a very stressful moment. Like there was literally a brawl. And the thing that's crazy about it go ahead. Blake: Yeah. Yeah, no, it was what was it was it was them. It was that it was them, it was Brandon and Apollo, and then it was it was Candy and s someone else, I forgot. Casey: Yes. Well, and that's what's crazy about it. Is like it started between Kenya and like Kia and her Kia husband. Like that was like the initial conflict. And Kenya, like, stands up to go, like, to the Kia husband, and the Kia husband moves to her and like kinda gets in her space. And the gay best friend Brandon then steps to him. And then Apollo, like Just hopped up on like testosterone, like starts beating up someone. Like you weren't even in this. Like, why are you beating up the gay best friend? Like, he literally is just kind of low-key hate criming him. Like, he's beating him up so viciously. Like he was trying to kill him. And like maybe Apollo will sue me for that. Like, is that libel? I don't know. But yeah, whatever. Whatever, fuck him. Blake: I don't know, I feel like he doesn't have the money for that. But also it's your it's your opinion. It's your opinion. Casey: It's violent and it's a hate crime. And I'll say it and I have the the courage to say it. But it's it's extremely stressful and Nene is very stressed about it. And sh like Candy then goes off. It's like something with Cynthia that sets her off. Blake: yeah, it's is it is it Todd and Candy and and Peter? I honestly don't remember. Casey: Yeah, like every like whole house mad. This is like actually whole house Blake: Every yeah. Casey: mad. Like this is e whatever last thing we said that about, this is even more applicable. it was Salt Lake. This is even more applicable. I literally have it. I haven't Blake: And we're about to say it We're about to say it again for the next f you You have literally verbatim a whole house mad in the next scene. Like I'm like honestly it's I Casey: Such a good reference. Blake: mean that like honestly real housewives could just be like whole house mad Orange County, whole house mad New York, like whole house mad Miami. Like it's true. It's true. Casey: That's really funny. Blake: And next we Still in season six. Season six gave us a lot. We have to s can everyone say thank you, season six. episode nineteen. everyone goes to Mexico and Ugh this is actually a really this is probably like second my second favorite Nene moment. essentially background Peter and Greg are beefying because Peter told Nini to behave at like a charity event and Greg like gets Tells Peter like come to me instead. Don't like get all up on my wife. And they get into each other's faces. It gets really heated. the women are outside separately having their own like beef conversation. And then when they're done, they get up, they're walking to go back to their rooms, and then they hear the men are like fighting. So then the women join in the room, and we get Ugh Hall of Fame. I like the the the candy looking at the camera like damn like I often think about how fun it would be to be on a fucking reality TV show when like Casey: I know. Blake: you're when you're just witnessing a scene that you know is gonna be like featured on the season and you get to just sort of sit there and be like like this is good Casey: mean this is so good like period but it's even extra satisfying because Peter has been annoying from season one until this moment in season six and finally Blake: Yes. Casey: like we're like God you're annoying and stop acting like you're a a cast member. Like literally you're not Patricia. Like back off and stay out of women business. Like I like I couldn't say it better myself. Blake: You're a husband. They have scenes for husbands. It's not the real husbands of Atlanta. And by the way, you're not even Casey: Like this is a timeless moment. Like I use this clip. The amount of Blake: Absolutely. Casey: times I use this when I was on Twitter to annoying ass men popping into conversations Blake: Yeah. Casey: about women's bodies. Like, this is a classic. Like literally this is a Blake: You You need to roll with these fellas and stop being a damn bitch. And she ate him the fuck up. Casey: You you need to roll with the fellas. Stop rolling with the women. Like, my god. Like Blake: Ugh no, like I I'm sorry. I feel like she said what we were all thinking. Like when a house husband gets too involved, when they think like, Casey: Yes. Blake: this is my ticket into like something, it's like no, actually like it's about your wife. Like it's a hundred percent about your wife. Casey: Right. And I have a love of like I I would put it into like the genre of clip of let's put this one alongside the clip of Yolanda from Beverly Hills where she's like, I've never seen two men fight about issues like this. Go have a beer or something. Like, so I'd I partnered that one with this as well as Tamara. Tamra talking to Brooks at the reunion when she's like, Are you a man? Are you a woman? Are you a man? Then act like one. Like these, they're all like, maybe I'll put them together as like a supercut. So good. Blake: No, it's you that would be a good edit. Follow Stacy's backhand, everyone. Casey: Ha ha ha. Blake: Alright, next we're moving to same season because again season six, thank you. reunion part Casey: Dance, yeah. Blake: one. Casey: this reunion is so jam-packed, as you can sense the theme is in season six, but you know the one. Nene is in the pink dress, she's got a gorgeous bun in the back. She looks beautiful, her makeup looks so good, her energy's on ten. Honestly, like one of the best reunion performances, if not. the best, honestly. Like I I could give it number one in terms of like its longevity and impact, but we can we can Blake: Yeah. And Casey: introduce it Blake: yeah, you y'all know what we're about to do. Casey: This is another one that I wish I could include the whole scene, but like again, just doesn't make sense. Like it's a full like probably like a minute and a half that she talks in answer to this question. But my God, it's so funny. I actually think about this because there's I saw an Instagram reel of a girl like rehear like reciting this whole monologue. Like she's like, you know, like one of those ones where you have like the the computer screen up and you like do the whole thing. And I was like, wow, what a good pull. Like that's a good pull because that's not like one of the most obvious ones, but it's such a good like nanie. Like she just is so niney for like 45 seconds talking about running into Kenya's Nigerian prince boyfriend. Ken Mora Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: is across the street. Like Blake: And then like she says something like, and the guy said like, yeah, we're in a black Ferrari and Nene goes, I said, No bitch, we're in a black Ferrari And then she like this kind of segues into another iconic moment, I'll play it. I I honestly like again the tact Casey: The way that she's looking off to the right. Blake: Again, the tactic of speaking over like your verbal opponent and just like you continue to say it like and also what Nene does really well is she will sort of just like instead of arguing she'll be like, You're right, I was so nasty and so rude Casey: She does that a lot. Blake: Which honestly like it just kind of neuters like whoever you're talking to. It's like, like Casey: And it's it's a very like rage baity argument tactic. Like I do that only to my sister, you know, like I only use that in the lowest of the low, like with my sister. Blake: Yeah Casey: Like I pull that all the time. You're right, I'm horrible. You're right. And my god, you who does that a lot? I hope she I hope she never listens to this. Moms do that a lot. Of like the like okay. I Blake: Yes. Casey: guess you're right, I'm a horrible mom and I never did anything for you and I don't care about you. And you're right, you're right. You're right, when you're like, Hey, like I I would appreciate if you could like do this for me, like love you so much. Like I just wish you could like adjust this. They're like, Fine. I guess I should die. Blake: They'll so I'm a horrible mother. So I I didn't raise you well. It's like I Casey: Holy fuck. Blake: I genuinely was just asking you to like to Casey: Like, holy fuck. Blake: to be a to like do one thing that was Casey: But it works though. Like it like what you have to like disarm the argument after that 'cause you're not gonna like let them like just like whatever. But nene is hilarious when she does it and like probably very rage ba y for the women she's up against, but we're not them, so whatever. Blake: And and honestly, like I have to just say it's shocking that we have a clip for we have several clips, but at least one for each part of this reunion. You can't always say that's true. For part two of the reunion, this was the the part immediately following Portia getting carried off of the reunion set because she grabbed Kenya's hair. and part two, what happens? Nini is still beefing with Kenya and we get this moment. Jeez, that is so good. No, literally. Casey: Why does she sound like a cartoon character? Like Jesus. Don't make me call Porsche. Well, in in Blake: Don't make me call Porsche. Casey: my mind, like obviously this is an iconic quote that like if you're a Bravo fan, you know this quote, and if you don't, then like I'm questioning your fan status. And When I think about this quote, like I would have thought that this was like a season or two later. Like I didn't remember this being like ten minutes after Portia attacks Kenya. Like Blake: Yeah, same, same. Like I honestly it like in my head I thought it was like r of reference. No, it was straight up like don't make me get her back here to like finish the job. Casey: Like she actually had just been escorted out a la a la Durinda Instagram Live for the for the ones who know the lore. Escorted out, she was escorted out, but like I literally was like, Blake: That's a deep cut. That's a deep cut. Casey: wait, that's even funnier because it let like probably Blake: No Casey: timing wise in the reunion, it had been like no more than like an hour since Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Kenya got her ass whooped by Portia. So like even bolder than I remember. So props to her. Blake: No, it's literally like No It's like if you like if you like saw Ronald Reagan and he was pissing you off and you're like, don't make me call John Hinckley That's like a like a stupid little nerd analogy, but Casey: The first ever person in the history of the world to compare Neene Leaks to Ronald Reagan. Portia to John Hinckley. Like, right. Blake: Stop, I'm sweating again. my god. and then part three we get Candy is now mad at Nene because Nene had dissed her mom on Watch What Happens live. and Nene is just like What do you want me to do? You don't like it. Okay, what else? Like she's just not having that Candy like wants her to apologize, and then we get Another iconic moment? Honestly, like I have to say I really appreciate when a housewife is just like, I'm not having this argument with you. Rather than when we have like, for example, like Salt Lake City, I feel like when they do their reunions, they get like so bogged down in like the minutiae and like one argument, and it's like everyone has to respond Casey: Yeah. Blake: to everything. I like how Nini's just like, I said what I said. What do you want me to do? Nothing. I'm not gonna do anything. Move on. It's like, okay, we're we put that in a little nice box with a nice bow and we've sent it out to Santa Claus. Casey: Which like people hate that. Like when you do that in an argument and like I personally don't. Like if I if I'm like not gonna change my position, like I said what I said. Like at the end of the day, Blake: Yep. Casey: like our conversation's close to being over. Like if I'm standing by what I said and you're mad about it, then I think let's just close this one out, sister. And that's basically what they do. Like exactly what you said. They keep it moving. Like that is the end of that confrontation at this reunion. It's like, well, I guess we're at an impasse then. Like if you said what you said and I hate what you said, then let's just carry on. Like, thank you. Yes. Let's carry on. Blake: Right. R And then to to close out the reunion, this is just a funny little honestly I didn't know this like I this was the first time yeah Casey: Underrated, I would say. Blake: Miss Funkbox I don't know Is it supposed to be like you gotta Casey: What is she even saying at for real? Like is it funk, like F-U-N-K box? Or B U N K like bunk? Bunk? I th that's what I was thinking, like a funk box, like like it's funky down there. Like Blake: Is it supposed to be like you got a funk funky box? That's crazy. Casey: it's a funky box. It's a funk box. Blake: That is so actually crazy. we have to That's crazy. I know Casey: Like that's crazy. I cannot believe that I haven't seen anybody ever talk about that. Like, why haven't I had a viral post of being like funk box is fucking crazy? I guess maybe I have to be the change I want to see in the world. And I I guess I have to Blake: You have to be the viral post. Casey: put that out there. Like, I mean hell. Blake: So next season, immediately following season seven, y'all know the one with Claudia Jordan. Casey: Like We're gonna be a broken record, but this is another one that is so dense. It's so jam packed. Another one that could probably be its own episode. I was actually thinking about it, like Mia Pod Lore, Asterisk. I was like, feud Claudia vs. Nini would be a good episode, but like it's not even 'cause it's really just like one episode. And normally our feud spans like seven seasons. Blake: It's just yeah seasons. Casey: So like, no, it's actually not. But like there's so much in it that it feels that way. Like it feels like, this is so dense. Like I c Blake: It's charged. Casey: We could really dive in. but basically they're in Puerto Rico. The teams, as you know, I like to divide things up for understanding. The teams are basically Nini, Portia, Phaedra versus Kenya, Cynthia. Candy, I would say at this time is neutral. Like she's not on a team. So Kenya, Cynthia, this rando, Demetria, they're a team. Candy neutral. And then we've got my team, the Nini Forshafajo team. Like those are Blake: Right. Casey: the goddamn queens. so it's already like very tense between the two sides when they like go to like this first dinner. Blake: Yeah, and Nene says like about Cynthia's team, I guess she's like, the girls do not look friendly. They're all sitting, smising. Casey: Ha ha ha. Blake: And it seems like Kenya has all of her puppies in check. And then there's a this beautiful picture of Nene is looking into the camera. Well, she looks hydrated, moisturized. Her teeth are bright white. Her lips are stunning, plumped, nails Casey: Nails done yup Blake: done. If y she has her like macaroni ramen wig tight on her head. Casey: U allegedly according to Candy, that's for real hair. Blake: Honestly, if it's her real hair then like I take it back because I'm like if that's a wig, then I Casey: I kind of feel similarly. Cause I was watching Blake: Right. Like I feel like Casey: when we were like reviewing for clips I watched the the party that Nene has where no one is allowed to wear a wig and Candy and a confessional is like I think the last time I saw Nene without a wig was this night. Blake: Interesting. Okay, well then then I'm then I'm here for it. there is so basically Yeah. Casey: So justice for Nini on that one. But she like clearly has clocked the vibe that like this is gonna be a like uncomfortable little dinner because like the teams are very d yeah, Blake: gonna be like a team against team. Casey: like she knows immediately. Like she that look is like, we're we're about to dive in mama. But before it becomes yeah, before it becomes Claudia Blake: Yeah. And Demetria I was gonna say Casey: versus Nini, it's kind of Phaedra Blake: Every well. Casey: Portia Nini versus Demetria versus Kia. Blake: Demetria and Demetria's like she's a like a pop artist and she's there I guess she's like recording a song in Puerto Rico or something and so like Nene makes this really like sly comment. The way she folds her lips, she's like beech. Casey: So good. And this comes on the heels of Faja kind of throwing shade at Tefitria. So they just like tag team. And right after Portia jumps in too. So like they're just like boom, boom, boom, boom. Like Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: they're they're ready to go. And Claudia takes this moment, like, as her that signal to join in. Like she like gets outraged on behalf. Of Demetria. Like she's like, This is so rude. Like and she kind of like in in my mind, I think Claudia does a good job. Like people hold this up as like one of the only times that somebody like kinda went against Nene and like actually did okay, which is sort of true. But I also think that Claudia's doing way too much and like definitely is on like the high of like fans were probably online, like someone needs to go and challenge Nene and like say these things Blake: Yeah. Casey: against her. Like so she like had her script like almost like it's very like Candace Potomac vibes. Like I feel like it's a similar strategy with like kind of like the online like fuel. But But they get into it because Claudia takes the Demetria thing as reason and I tried to like combine the the key moments together because there's too much. So let's roll the supercut. Do you think she was the first person to ever utter the sentence, your clit has left your body on that day? Blake: Absolutely. Absolutely. I don't think anyone could ever like Shakespeare could not have conceived of a more interesting sentence. Casey: No, no, no. He could never, never. Blake: I the way that cause it's like I think that it's true that Claudia was sort of like getting at Nene better at first. Like she was getting the better of her at the beginning of the argument. And then I think because there's a part where Mportia says in her confessional, she's like, Nene, Nene has Nini's gone and Nene has has entered the building. And like I think once Nene turned on the Nene. Then she suddenly was like, Okay, I'm gonna end you and your clit has left your body. Casey: Yes. I totally agree. Like, Claudia definitely got a few in, and some of them were good beyond that. I feel like it was very like Candy even says in her confessional, like, Claudia is saying everything that like everyone has ever wanted to say to Nene. And for me, I'm like, exactly. Like it's almost too, Blake: Yeah. Casey: too, like down the line of like what people go online and tweet like after a fight. Like, no one has said Nene this. Like, go get her. So, like, for me, it's just like Blake: Yeah. Casey: a little like, I don't love that like rehearsal. quality of like like I felt that way about like Monica Salt Lake City when people were like gagging for her. Like I was a little bit like you studied the handbook a little too much for me. Like and I'm not like super mad at you but like it didn't land. Exactly. Blake: It's not hitting it's not hitting the same way. And I feel like it's like, you know, you had years to to study for that and I feel like that's not ha what Housewives is about. Like it's about like what's your authentic reaction to this woman, not like I came Casey: Well Blake: here to end you. Casey: yes. And I cut a lot of Claudia's like responses out because this is the Nini episode, not the Claudia episode. But At one point, like some of the stuff she also tries is so cringe and it gets like skipped over because there's so many iconic things said in this lines. But like at one point she says something like, Do you are you even educated? And Nene's Yes, I'm college educated. And she goes, Spell bridesmaids. It's like you're clearly Blake: It's like Casey: trying to like copy Kenya's like spell scepter moment, but like Blake: Yeah Casey: bridesmaids is not a hard word to spell like why did you pick was there Blake: It's not Casey: like a reason you picked that word? Like Blake: I feel like Casey: I literally was like, I'm embarrassed, I'm embarrassed. I wish I didn't hear you say that one. Like Blake: Yeah yeah. It was try hard. It was try hard. I think Casey: Like Blake: the only thing that she said to Nene that actually was like a ooh, that was a swipe was, was when she said like when you were my age you had edges or whatever. Cause I feel like everyone sort of reacted to that one. Yeah. Casey: Yeah. Some of the stuff about her hair is kind of funny. Like it's like low hanging fruit. It's like not gonna sting too deep. I think when she gets her about like again, I hate when she like she says something about like she tries to go at her about her weight and like I look so much younger than you. Blake: yeah. Casey: Like that isn't fun to me. Like you look maybe like a couple of years younger than her. Like it's really not like that. She doesn't look that much older than you, Mama. Like you don't wanna play that card. Like you're not like Whitney Rose, you're not Ashley Darby, like and Karen Huger, Blake: Yeah, and she she also came after No, literally, and Casey: like Blake: she came after her for like being a stripper and Nini like, Hum what do I have to s yes, I was a stripper and I liked it. Like what do you want me to say of like you're not really getting Yeah Casey: Like, okay, like I've already brought this up myself, like on camera, so like you didn't really get me. But I still I still would give it to Nene because like obviously the pure absurdity and boldness behind your clit has left your body straight up has to win the interaction. Like I Blake: It's like it's a nuclear bomb. Like she just was like, I'm gonna fucking nuke this conversation right now. And then I think Casey: Like your clit has left your body and money can't buy you a new pussy, could it? Blake: And I do think that when Cynthia's team leaves, the debrief between Nini's team of like what just happened is honestly funnier than that actual like argument. Casey: Uh-huh. Blake: I'll roll the clip. completely folded under the sound effect the poop Casey: The sound effect, the little like woo who Blake: and the thing is Casey: I mean, wow, like I will never look at a bob and not think about this. Like completely folded under. Like anytime I see a bob that starts to curl a little bit at the edges, I'm like, it's completely folded under. Like, I'm so embarrassed. Something Blake: Completely folded under, it's supposed to be tight What's wrong with the Bob something? Casey: with your bob when she says it in the argument Blake: GOOD Casey: that bothered by you with your bob? What's wrong with my bum? Nothing. Something Blake: Nothing and then she takes a bite of her food. I love when Nene gets like really breathy and she's like, nothing. And then she like Casey: Well, and I think including the debrief like adds some levity post your clit has left your body. Like it distracts you from the slut Blake: Yeah. Casey: shaving to like wait, yo bob like your mom was completely Blake: Yeah. Casey: folded under. And it like balances out the moment. Plus, like they contrast this like hilarious debrief with the other team, like mad as hell, like not funny at all. So like this moment only is funnier 'cause like it'll flash back to the other group that's just like, hmm, like that. So annoying. And then like this group Blake: Yeah Casey: is cracking the hell up, like kikiing about her bob. And Blake: Ha ha Casey: I didn't include it because you know the reason. There's too damn much. But Portia goes, Yeah, and then you went or Candy goes and then you went at her for her spaghetti straps and Porsche goes, Yeah, I know. Why do I have to go? Why don't what do I have on tonight? Like do I I have spaghetti Blake: And then it Casey: straps on low key? Don't don't Blake: A and Nini goes like scatter straps. Casey: Scatty straps and they're all cracking up being like thank god I didn't wear that like Portia's like touching her neck like do I have on sketty straps like it's so funny that these Blake: God, Casey: women are comedians like we're so lucky to have watched them in these moments like literally thank you thank you ladies like I love you Blake: Yeah. And then we go to the reunion of the same season, season seven. There's not much Nini wise except for this one quick clip that is just another back and forth with Candy. You've all heard this one before. We see each Casey: The eye acting, the eyeography that they have going on in this clip, both of them, the We Good and the We see each other Like Blake: What an efficient way to just stomp the argument. We see each other. We're good. Casey: And to our earlier point, it's actually the vi it's actually has the same energy as I said what I said and they moved on. Like Blake: Yep. Casey: they see each other and we're moving on. It's really not resolved. Like they're both still mad as fuck, but they see each other and we good. Are we good? Blake: They see each other, whatever. And we're good. Casey: No. But we also like it's like are we good? No, but like we are good. Like 'cause we're moving Blake: But we're good. Casey: on. Like we're not good, but it's good that we're not good. Blake: Right. We're we're okay with with not being good, which means we're good. Casey: We would be such good housewives. Like we really get we really get the ethics of it. Like maybe that's Blake: Yeah. Casey: why we've dealt with friendships that have been like super annoying to us because like we're we're thinking on another plane. Like we're thinking on the housewives plane Blake: Right. Casey: and they're thinking on like the plebe plane. Blake: Yeah, they don't understand what it would be like to have the y it's like you have to have the like sociological perspective of how to like interact with a relationship and navigate. And I think some people Casey: Right. Like you're mad that I learned forgiveness from the real housewives. Blake: And that is a you problem. Not a me problem. And we're good. We see each other. Casey: We see each other. I said what I said and we see each other and we good. We're good. Like like Blake: to move on moving on to season ten, which is not really I guess it's like a Nini moment, but it's more of a Nini concept event that we just have to thank her for. if you're listening, this is a screenshot of Nini Leeks getting ready for her day of Nini's Girls and Gays Never Forget All White Party Seafood Soiree. And nobody actually understands why it was called Casey: No. Blake: that. There's no clarification. I know she wanted to do a girls and gays event. I think she was also kind of inspired by like a Kyle Richards White Party situation. I'm not quite sure the never forget part 'cause it's not like a nine eleven related Casey: Right. I was gonna say for a long time I I did in my mind, like I remembered it as being nine eleven inspired. Like I think just like I Blake: Well 'cause one would think Casey: I fabricated that. Exactly. Like, you know, like there's a psychology term for that, like when your brain like creates something in a in an area like where there's nothing, like it's like, like logically, maybe it's nine eleven, like never forget, like we do say that about that. But actually Blake: We do. Casey: from watching and I like I could have been high or like sleepy and maybe I made this up. So we don't have as I said, we don't have a fact checker on staff yet. So don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure Nene was like I had portia over once and she like said she didn't remember it. Like she like it like came up on camera and like she was I don't remember being there or like maybe in a confessional. So Nene was like, It's the never forget. Like you can't come over to my house and forget about it. Like just off Blake: And forget right. Casey: that one moment. It became the party name. Blake: E that sounds right. That sounds right. Well, it became one fourth of the party name. Casey: One fourth. In a funny detail, which I don't know. Maybe let's let's open this up for discussion, but Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: I forget his name. It's another one of the gay ensemble of the women's friends. I Blake: Derek Derek J. Casey: yes, it's Derek J. He comes to this party with Cynthia, or maybe it's with Sharae. You know, interchangeable. Like it's about him, what I'm talking about. He sits down with one of the women and it's like, I like feel a little bit. bothered by this event. They're like, why? And he's like, I mean it's kind of like if you threw a party being like it's for white people and bring your black friends. Like it's a little bit Blake: Yeah, he he did Casey: like it's a little bit like tokenism of the gays. Like we're not like just party guests for white or not white women, because obviously they're black women, but for women like Blake: Yeah. Casey: to like tote along to their party. I was kind of like Blake: I didn't really get that to be honest, because it's girls and gays and I feel like girls and gaze is a very common combination. Casey: And they include that clip, like a fifteen second clip of his like dispute, and then like we don't see him again for the rest of the episode. Blake: It moves on. Right. Yeah. It's like honestly, like, there's a tweet that's like, total non issue, move along and like I feel like that's what I wanna throw up right now. Like, why are we it's Casey: Sometimes I feel so positive about the editors on these Bravo shows, and I'm like, what a gift that was that you just bestowed on us. And I'm like, Sometimes I'm like, was someone like falling asleep at the wheel on shift for this one? Like you were like, yeah, Blake: Hehehehe Casey: we need that in there, but like let's not follow up on it at all. Like there will be no through line though. Like they'll love it. Blake: I think that they like planting a seed and then letting it run wild. Like it's like we're so there's nothing else there but like you can have a conversation about that. Like think about it. Casey: Like, okay. Question mark. But iconic event and like they when they're setting it up, it's you know, it's an all-white party. There are like a bunch of men and Nene's like, since it's a girls and gays party, everybody likes a man. Like everyone will love this. Blake: Ha ha ha. Casey: Like what a gift. Like there will be shortless men for the women and the gays. And they're wearing like white bow ties. You know, there's plenty of like seafood. It's a s it's sweet seafood soiree, Blake: See Fruit Soire. Casey: which is very like Maryland. Like I'm like, that's like Baltimore like esque like. Blake: Yeah Yeah, it really makes me want Casey: The like crab claws, like Blake: Yeah, it makes me want to be like in Rhode Island with the ladies of Rhode Island. Amazing Casey: Literally. But yeah, iconic event and like what a name. Blake: mouthful of an event. and then that very same season because we as we know Kim Zolsep makes a a s guest appearance on this season. So we're gonna close out Best of Nene Leaks, with this amazing clip that is in response to Kim trying to call Nene out for parking in a handicapped spot. And Nene this is honestly like gold. Like her she cla she's like, I know you're not talking to me. Casey: You relax. Blake: No, you've relied. Casey: I mean it's so good. And this is a sister clip to that I forget the season. Maybe you'll know. They're on like a sprinter van and Nene's like, Kim has had every disease, she's had heart disease, she's had and she like rattles off all yeah. Blake: Blood clot, thyroid, cancer, like and she's like and she's still complaining, and then Marlo goes, God is good, honey Casey: Like Nene is unafraid to reference or not reference like her past. And that's what she she's like what she says, like, You've had everything. Like, where is your scooter? Like Blake: You're not the parking meter later. I mean, are you disabled with everything you had? 'Cause it's like Casey: The concept of turning the claim around of like you unjustly parked in a handicapped spot to you should be in that spot with all that you've got going on. Blake: Where's your blue disabled handicapped little sign for parking there? Because Casey: Kim Kim looking crazy gigantic lips like turtleneck red body con dress going Are you okay? Like and like that's where that's where we're leaving it and again like someone's gonna be like in season eleven you miss you missed my favorite nitty moment you ended it in season ten like fuck you guys okay I'm sorry like we maybe we'll do it again like or maybe we'll do a season ten exact exactly like you Blake: Well also probably cover a season that will include that scene. Casey: guys like we have vast plans like we it's Blake: We our plans are measured Casey: You d for you do not know the plans I have for you. Like just rest. Rest easy. We have you. It is. Blake: in centuries or whatever Dune said. He's that from the Bible For you do not know Well it sounded like you were quoting the Bible For you do not know the plans Casey: gonna say that can you tell that I have I was raised in Catholic school for like a million fucking years Blake: Ha ha ha ha. Casey: like I still have ticks like you do not know the plans I have for you Blake: For you do not know. Casey: but they will come they will come and this pod is open to all religions by the way Blake: Thank you thank you, my co host Jesus. Yeah, we're gonna c next time we'll quote the Torah and then after that the Quran and we'll d honestly whatever. Casey: Like I have love in my heart for all. Like, don't play about my heart and its size. It's huge. Blake: Yeah. huh. Yeah, it's really big. and on that note, we are going to be doing the Real Housewives of Potomac season five, first half, so episodes one through eleven next week. if you were shocked by that, you could also check the schedule that we release on our Instagram.
