  Speaker 1: that can destroy people. But a jealous person is much worse.

  Speaker 1: is something that we have to not only tell on ourselves,

  Speaker 1: but we have to learn how to correct. I'm not

  Speaker 1: But I want to learn too. And that's what I

  Speaker 1: love about doing these Bible studies and being able to

  Speaker 1: allow God to take the defects away and replace them.

  Speaker 2: With effects and spiritual gifts.

  Speaker 1: And I've already seen that in my journey of following

  Speaker 1: When a friend is not afraid to warn you that

  Speaker 1: you were wrong, it shows that he really loves you.

  Speaker 1: There's so many times when people call us out and

  Speaker 1: we take offense to it, like who are you to

  Speaker 1: tell me?

  Speaker 1: But truthfully, if they didn't care, if they didn't really

  Speaker 1: love you, they wouldn't call you out.

  Speaker 2: And to warn you like what you're doing is wrong.

  Speaker 1: You can trust a friend when he says things that

  Speaker 1: hurt you, but when an enemy kisses you, he is

  Speaker 1: to follow deceived him. There's a message in that, and

  Speaker 1: there's a lesson in that those that are closest to

  Speaker 1: you will deceive you, will let you down. Let's get

  Speaker 1: into it a little deeper. Okay, we're gonna get into it.

  Speaker 1: In verse seven, a person who has eaten enough food
• 5:39
  Speaker 1: will refuse honey. But even bitter food seems sweet to

  Speaker 1: a hungry person. There is a difference between being hungry
• 5:50
  Speaker 1: and starving, starving for that peace, starving for this. And
• 5:55
  Speaker 1: I'm not just talking about food. And I don't believe

  Speaker 1: that Proverbs chapter twenty seven, verse seven is talking about

  Speaker 1: food when we're talking about refusing the honey. We're talking

  Speaker 1: about refusing the word of God, having that relationship with Jesus,

  Speaker 1: being connected to the Holy Spirit in relationship. This is

  Speaker 1: not religious speaking in this verse, nothing about the Bible

  Speaker 1: is religious. And this is where man has taken the
• 6:28
  Speaker 1: Bible and made it his own kind of organization. And
• 6:33
  Speaker 1: this is what we're going to get deeper. But even
• 6:37
  Speaker 1: bitter food seems sweet to a hungry person. When you're hungry,
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: you'll eat just about anything. When you are lonely, you'll
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: do just about anything. When you're desperate. You'll do just
• 6:47
  Speaker 1: about anything to feel like you have wanted and known.
• 6:52
  Speaker 1: But the Lord is there. The Lord is there to
• 6:54
  Speaker 1: give you that filledness of that void that you try
• 6:59
  Speaker 1: to fill with so many different ways, people, places, and things.

  Speaker 1: Let's get into it a little deeper. Proverbs chapter twenty eight,

  Speaker 1: verse eight states a person who travels away from his
• 7:09
  Speaker 1: home is like a bird that flies away.

  Speaker 2: From its nest. Ooh, I love this. I love this.

  Speaker 1: Eventually you have to leave the nest. Old, let me

  Speaker 1: get it, spirit, let me get it. You can't stay

  Speaker 1: in the nest forever. This is something that I'm dealing with.

  Speaker 1: I've been outgrowing the nest, and there is opportunities that

  Speaker 1: will come upon me that I need to take advantage of,

  Speaker 1: whether it's for.

  Speaker 2: Five days, whether it's for whatever.

  Speaker 1: I know that for a fact, that I can't let

  Speaker 1: anything continue to hold me back.

  Speaker 2: It's almost like the analogy.

  Speaker 1: Or the pet or the metaphor right or the parable,

  Speaker 1: Either way, you gotta keep trying. You gotta realize that

  Speaker 1: you even comprehend. And God is working in your favor.

  Speaker 1: If you can just trust on his understanding, in his favor,

  Speaker 1: and trust on his feelings for you, not your own.

  Speaker 1: Let me go a little deeper.

  Speaker 2: Verse nine. Let's make sure we still got time we do.

  Speaker 1: Verse nine states beautiful oil and perfume may give you joy,

  Speaker 1: but good advice from a friend is even better.

  Speaker 2: Verse ten.

  Speaker 1: Do not forget your friends or your father's friends. If

  Speaker 1: you are in trouble. Do not ask your relatives to

  Speaker 1: help you. A friend who is a neighbor will be

  Speaker 1: more help than a relative who lives far away. And

  Speaker 1: when we're talking about your father's friends, we're talking about

  Speaker 1: people of the church, of your program, of whatever has

  Speaker 1: given you strength and has given you inspiration. You can

  Speaker 1: only hide for so long. I want to get deeper.

  Speaker 1: I want to get deeper here. Lean on the Lord's understanding,

  Speaker 1: lean on that relationship.

  Speaker 1: Only give you hope, he will give you joy. He

  Speaker 1: will give you peace, the fruit of the spirit, the

  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit. But you have to be willing.

  Speaker 1: My son, if you were wise, I will be happy.

  Speaker 1: I will be able to answer anyone.

  Speaker 2: Who insults me.

  Speaker 1: Now, when you are prideful and you are bitter, and

  Speaker 1: you are going through so much different cycles, right, it's

  Speaker 1: hard to take these insults.

  Speaker 1: That it is not necessarily what we are doing wrong

  Speaker 1: when somebody insults us, it's what the other person may

  Speaker 1: not be willing to face about themselves. Oh, let's preach,

  Speaker 1: come only spirit, let us go Verse twelve, And we're

  Speaker 1: still in Proverbs twenty seven. A careful person can see danger,

  Speaker 1: and he will hide himself, But a silly person never stops.
