- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, I sure will. Good morning everybody you're listening
- 0:07Speaker 1: to the voice, come on, dig me now, one and
- 0:11Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey got a radio show, got a good
- 0:14Speaker 1: one for you today. Tommy text me and hit me
- 0:19Speaker 1: with a thought this morning that caused me to thinking
- 0:22Speaker 1: a little bit deeper about it. And the text of
- 0:25Speaker 1: Tommy sent me this morning said that a tree yields
- 0:28Speaker 1: fruit seasonally, but even when it's not yielding, it's still
- 0:31Speaker 1: a fruit tree. Don't get upset at not producing. Your
- 0:35Speaker 1: season is coming if you stay planted. Okay, one more time.
- 0:41Speaker 1: A fruit tree yields seasonally, but even when it's not yielding,
- 0:45Speaker 1: it's still a fruit tree. Don't get upset and not producing,
- 0:49Speaker 1: because your season is coming if you stay planted. Okay. Now,
- 0:53Speaker 1: that meant something to me this morning, and it caused
- 0:56Speaker 1: me to start to thinking it through a little bit
- 1:00Speaker 1: deeper in terms of what has happened in my life.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Because here's the deal. The thing that I just learned
- 1:09Speaker 1: recently was about seasons in your life. Seasons. I was
- 1:15Speaker 1: familiar with it all my life. My mother taught it
- 1:18Speaker 1: to me. I've experienced it, but I didn't really get
- 1:21Speaker 1: it until of late. The thing about the seasons in
- 1:25Speaker 1: your life. Is when we start thinking about when you
- 1:27Speaker 1: hear people in Churchill, you hear people say it's your
- 1:30Speaker 1: season is coming. Boy, you in your season? You know
- 1:33Speaker 1: what was messing me up a little bit, and it
- 1:35Speaker 1: might be messing you up. I thought of seasons just
- 1:40Speaker 1: like I did the seasons winter, spring, summer, and fall.
- 1:45Speaker 1: But I had it on the timeline just like seasons
- 1:50Speaker 1: quarterly a year. So I looked at boy, is your season,
- 1:55Speaker 1: Your season is coming. I looked at it as a
- 1:58Speaker 1: short span of time, and then I was gonna go
- 2:01Speaker 1: back to the barrenness of winter, and then something might
- 2:05Speaker 1: happen a little later on in the spring and something
- 2:07Speaker 1: pop through the ground and flowers show up, and then
- 2:11Speaker 1: they might survive. The summer is good, and it's going
- 2:13Speaker 1: good all summer long, and I'm guiding them harvesting crops.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Then the fall come and start fading in winter, I
- 2:19Speaker 1: go back to suffering the barrenness of winter like a crop.
- 2:24Speaker 1: But here's what I learned. You cannot look at your
- 2:28Speaker 1: season in life and the seasons that we go through
- 2:33Speaker 1: with the same eye for seasons as you do with crops.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Because God's timeline is totally different. See, a season to
- 2:41Speaker 1: God could be a really extended period of time. It
- 2:46Speaker 1: could be the duration of your life. That's what a
- 2:49Speaker 1: season is in God's timeline. See God is expansive man,
- 2:54Speaker 1: He's way bigger than the regular thing. So what may
- 2:57Speaker 1: be a season two a farmer. A season for God
- 3:02Speaker 1: could be three hundred years, fifty years, sixty years, eighty years,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you in now. So I had to learn that because
- 3:10Speaker 1: I was afraid that seasonally meant that this blessing would
- 3:13Speaker 1: be for a short period of time. Then I go back.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Then I here come another burst, and then I go back.
- 3:18Speaker 1: I fired a few more night shots, and now I
- 3:21Speaker 1: have a nice summer, and then I started withing away
- 3:24Speaker 1: and here come winning again. The first things first, that's
- 3:27Speaker 1: not how it worked for me, and that's how I
- 3:29Speaker 1: had to learn. So now let's talk about it with
- 3:32Speaker 1: that in mind. See what the text time is sent
- 3:35Speaker 1: me meant a lot to me, because see, everybody is
- 3:39Speaker 1: a fruit tree. We are all a fruit tree. But
- 3:44Speaker 1: here's the key, though, we are all different kinds of
- 3:47Speaker 1: fruit trees. Oh see that's the difference. And that's the
- 3:51Speaker 1: other thing was tripping me off. See I was looking
- 3:55Speaker 1: at the other trees, trying to figure out why I
- 3:59Speaker 1: wasn't given and bearing the same fruit that they were burying.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Why wasn't I a billionaire? Why wasn't I a yacht owner?
- 4:09Speaker 1: Why didn't I come up with the next great idea?
- 4:14Speaker 1: Why wasn't I the next big producer? Why wasn't I
- 4:18Speaker 1: the next big major star. Why wasn't I the one
- 4:22Speaker 1: that came up with some earth shattering idea and invention
- 4:25Speaker 1: that would change the scope of the world and all
- 4:28Speaker 1: this money would flow me? Why wasn't I Because that
- 4:30Speaker 1: ain't my fruit, that that's not my tree. See, everybody
- 4:34Speaker 1: can't be Steve Jobs. Everybody's not gonna be the guy
- 4:39Speaker 1: that comes up with the next invention that changes the world.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You ain't the right, brothers. You may not be the
- 4:44Speaker 1: one to think of flight? For what is your fruit? Though?
- 4:47Speaker 1: See your fruit is plenty, see and and and and
- 4:51Speaker 1: what the what the text was saying is your fruit?
- 4:54Speaker 1: You you bear fruits seasonally. That means it's coming. Sometimes
- 4:59Speaker 1: you still sprout. Well, when you sprouting, you can't have
- 5:01Speaker 1: fruit on you yet. What you're tripping for? You just sprouted,
- 5:06Speaker 1: You just came up through the dirt. You've been hustling
- 5:09Speaker 1: and grinded. You just popped up through the dirt. Now
- 5:12Speaker 1: you're a young tree, you a bush. Even if you
- 5:14Speaker 1: have fruit on it, your bark and your limbs ain't
- 5:17Speaker 1: strong enough to hold the fruit. The size of the
- 5:20Speaker 1: fruit would break your limbs if you get it too early. Paul,
- 5:25Speaker 1: Come on, man, don't you understand this? Now? This is
- 5:28Speaker 1: what this text meant to me. And so while I
- 5:31Speaker 1: wanted fruit, I wasn't ready to hold the fruit. So
- 5:35Speaker 1: you gotta strengthen yourself. You gotta get focused. You gotta
- 5:38Speaker 1: be who you're supposed to be. You gotta try hard. God,
- 5:41Speaker 1: the fruit season is coming for you, because everybody is
- 5:44Speaker 1: a fruit tree, and everybody gonna bath fruit. But what
- 5:47Speaker 1: you cannot do is think that. Look, if you're a
- 5:51Speaker 1: lemon tree and your fruit that you bear is lemit,
- 5:54Speaker 1: this is analogy. Now I'm talking about whatever your gift is.
- 5:57Speaker 1: The fruit you bear is a lemon tree. But you
- 5:59Speaker 1: look over it, man, You looking at the apple archid,
- 6:01Speaker 1: and you going man, But them apples is big and red.
- 6:04Speaker 1: More people eat apples than eat lemons. You sell more
- 6:07Speaker 1: apples than you do lemons. Oh that's true. So now
- 6:10Speaker 1: guess what you do. Now, you uproot yourself. You take
- 6:14Speaker 1: yourself up out of who you are and what you
- 6:17Speaker 1: were born to do. You remove yourself from your gift,
- 6:21Speaker 1: You take yourself all out of who you really are,
- 6:24Speaker 1: going over there trying to be an apple tree. When
- 6:27Speaker 1: God made you the lemon tree. Now guess what. Now
- 6:32Speaker 1: you're all about the soil. You ain't rooted no more,
- 6:35Speaker 1: can't no nutrients come up through your roots to even
- 6:37Speaker 1: feed the limons that He bore you to have. Now
- 6:40Speaker 1: you're over there trying to be an apple. Well, ain't
- 6:42Speaker 1: no room in the apple archard for the lemon tree.
- 6:45Speaker 1: Now you're wondering why you can't get your roots down
- 6:47Speaker 1: in there, why they ain't accepting you? Now you're barn man?
- 6:50Speaker 1: Who woo is me? Lord? You don't never give me
- 6:53Speaker 1: no fruit? It's because you keep moving, You keep taking
- 6:57Speaker 1: yourself out of who you are, keep removing yourself from
- 7:02Speaker 1: the soil that you was planted in. You keep taking
- 7:05Speaker 1: yourself out your orchard. Stop trying to be an apple.
- 7:08Speaker 1: If you was born to be a lemon, what's wrong
- 7:10Speaker 1: with lemons? I like lemonade. A lot of people I
- 7:13Speaker 1: know like lemonade. Lemonade If you stay focused with it,
- 7:15Speaker 1: you might be the only one with the good limons. Now,
- 7:18Speaker 1: everybody that need limits gotta come to you, oh man.
- 7:21Speaker 1: But if you keep uprooting yourself moving, you'll never better
- 7:24Speaker 1: fruit that you was born to bear. Everybody is a
- 7:27Speaker 1: fruit tree. But you got to stay planted, man, You
- 7:31Speaker 1: gotta stay nourished. You gotta talk to your creator who
- 7:34Speaker 1: made you, and find out what fruit you supposed to bear,
- 7:38Speaker 1: and then in your season. It's coming, man, your season
- 7:42Speaker 1: is coming. But you got to stay planted, and you
- 7:45Speaker 1: got to realize through contacting your creator what type of
- 7:49Speaker 1: fruit tree you are. And quit looking at the other
- 7:52Speaker 1: orchid trying to get over there, and they got more
- 7:54Speaker 1: fruit than you. That's not who you are. Stop trying
- 7:57Speaker 1: to be something that you are not. Listening to the
