- 0:50Speaker 1: A Hugh Beaumont movie. No, it wasn't Hugh Beaumont. Hugh
- 0:54Speaker 1: Beaumont was leave at the Beaver.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Yes, Levid Weaver's dead, I.
- 0:57Speaker 1: Know that, but he did do a private detective film.
- 1:00Speaker 1: You don't know, Margaret, someone helped Margaret, please with this.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So wait, well, hold on, I'm not here as your
- 1:06Speaker 1: old curiosity fill. I'm a part of this show. I understand, Margaret,
- 1:09Speaker 1: all right. When I say, Hugh Beaumont, you bitches jump,
- 1:13Speaker 1: you understand? God damn, Margaret, Maybe you ought to just
- 1:16Speaker 1: go home and relax. Maybe I don't know what's going
- 1:19Speaker 1: on with you. Nothing. Do you have a fight with Frank? Nothing?
- 1:24Speaker 1: I said, all right. Actually, let's listen to today's radio
- 1:28Speaker 1: archive special. It is Jay santos So the Citizens Auxivery
- 1:31Speaker 1: Police eves dropping in on people's private phone conversations at
- 1:34Speaker 1: a period of time in the early two thousands, in
- 1:36Speaker 1: the early twenty first century, when we thought that cell
- 1:38Speaker 1: phone use was probably you know, we probably had enough
- 1:41Speaker 1: of it. There are a lot of automobile accidents, There
- 1:44Speaker 1: was an awful lot of you know, pedestrian mishaps. People
- 1:47Speaker 1: were not paying attention to what they were doing because
- 1:49Speaker 1: they had these cell phones, and the proposal to band
- 1:52Speaker 1: them was on. I forget what position I took, but
- 1:55Speaker 1: here I am with I think Jay santos So the
- 1:57Speaker 1: Citizens Auxiury Police, very early Jay santos here in the
- 2:00Speaker 1: world famous Phil Henry.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Show and now Phil Henry, and right now we have
- 2:20Speaker 2: on the line with us.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Where is Jay Santos, where's his Where's where's his radio room? Okay,
- 2:24Speaker 1: well it wasn't punched up. Oh Jay you there? Well okay,
- 2:29Speaker 1: well we don't have to Jay you there.
- 2:32Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Phil, You're trying to just try to coordinate
- 2:35Speaker 4: a couple of different things and some of the officers
- 2:37Speaker 4: out in the field right now.
- 2:38Speaker 1: All right, Jay Santos, citizens, ox every police. Are a
- 2:41Speaker 1: lot of laws being considered out banning cell phones.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Oh that's correct. Yeah, have you heard that.
- 2:47Speaker 5: I have read a lot of that.
- 2:48Speaker 4: Yes, I have.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And you've read about the cell phone ban and what
- 2:51Speaker 1: is this based on safety?
- 2:53Speaker 4: Well, I think it's an understandable. We've had the wake
- 2:55Speaker 4: up call on cell phones for a long time, filled
- 2:57Speaker 4: the wake up call in many communities. A lot of
- 3:00Speaker 4: them are banning them with good reason because other than
- 3:03Speaker 4: emergency communication, there doesn't seem to be any reason to
- 3:07Speaker 4: use a cell phone. We know that many communities do
- 3:09Speaker 4: not yet have these restrictions, but we're anticipating them, and
- 3:13Speaker 4: we want to get people used to the idea that
- 3:14Speaker 4: you can drive a car without without talking on.
- 3:17Speaker 1: A cell phone, and that and to that end, you
- 3:19Speaker 1: guys and the citizens Auxilari police now just as you
- 3:21Speaker 1: guys are volunteer police officers.
- 3:23Speaker 4: That's correct, yes, but.
- 3:24Speaker 1: You rely upon the constitutional right to a citizens arrest,
- 3:28Speaker 1: so you don't really carry a badge.
- 3:30Speaker 4: We don't carry about What we like to say pill
- 3:33Speaker 4: is we do walk softly. We carry a big stick.
- 3:36Speaker 4: We see ourselves as an adjunct or an assist, if
- 3:39Speaker 4: you will, to the police. We do some flare drops,
- 3:42Speaker 4: we do some traffic control, and certainly when a situation
- 3:45Speaker 4: like this arises that cell phones are dangerous or what
- 3:49Speaker 4: have you, well, we like to think we're on standby
- 3:52Speaker 4: for the safety of the community.
- 3:54Speaker 1: All right, Well, cell phones now being banned in a
- 3:57Speaker 1: lot of different communities. Where does the citizens auxili police
- 4:00Speaker 1: come into this?
- 4:01Speaker 5: I think, first of.
- 4:02Speaker 4: All, phil it's kind of a philosophical thing. If I
- 4:04Speaker 4: could take you back. I remember when I was a boy,
- 4:06Speaker 4: my father and my mother kissed each other good bye
- 4:08Speaker 4: in the morning, and they saw each other again at night,
- 4:10Speaker 4: and they hadn't spoken a word all day, and that
- 4:12Speaker 4: was good enough for them, and they'd be talking to
- 4:15Speaker 4: night about how their day went today. I think what
- 4:17Speaker 4: you've got with a lot of cell phone users, especially
- 4:20Speaker 4: a lot of women out there. They're worried about their
- 4:23Speaker 4: marriages falling apart, or nervous about their relations She has
- 4:27Speaker 4: fallen apart. And you see a lot of these housewives
- 4:29Speaker 4: that are on a cell phone with their husband trying
- 4:31Speaker 4: to make sure they're in a good space. My wife
- 4:33Speaker 4: has a very dear friend, Lady Liz, actually doesn't live
- 4:36Speaker 4: in our community. She lives down more than Pallas Verdi's
- 4:39Speaker 4: and she is constantly on the phone with her husband.
- 4:41Speaker 4: Are you in a good space today and trying to
- 4:44Speaker 4: work out their marriage and all this nonsense? And have
- 4:47Speaker 4: you got so many marriages that are on the rocks
- 4:49Speaker 4: right now?
- 4:50Speaker 1: Are you saying there's a lot of people on cell
- 4:51Speaker 1: phones trying to salvage their marriages.
- 4:54Speaker 4: Well, I think that. I think a lot of it.
- 4:56Speaker 3: Is that there's a lot of insecure relationships.
- 5:00Speaker 4: A lot of it is that there's a lot of
- 5:01Speaker 4: people driving in the car and they're talking on a
- 5:04Speaker 4: phone to a therapist or a headshrinker. I remember when
- 5:07Speaker 4: I was a boy. My parents are very happily married.
- 5:09Speaker 4: I've got a very strong marriage. My wife and I
- 5:11Speaker 4: don't need to be talking all the time. You know,
- 5:14Speaker 4: it's sort of the call a. Psychologists call it anal
- 5:17Speaker 4: compulsion because it has to do with your you know,
- 5:21Speaker 4: your butt, you know, because that's what the anal thing is.
- 5:24Speaker 3: And I understand that, I know what that is.
- 5:25Speaker 1: A Freudian term, anally compulsive, someone who is constantly.
- 5:29Speaker 4: Yeah, sounds like always with their finger in their butt,
- 5:31Speaker 4: I guess is what that means. But really what we're
- 5:33Speaker 4: talking about here is getting these people off the phones
- 5:37Speaker 4: and getting them back to you know, if you're not
- 5:38Speaker 4: if you're insecure in your marriage.
- 5:40Speaker 1: And well, certainly there are people on the phone for
- 5:42Speaker 1: a variety of reasons, that is correct. Okay, so they're
- 5:44Speaker 1: not just on the phone trying to salvage their failing
- 5:47Speaker 1: marriages or they're you know, trying to find out if
- 5:49Speaker 1: they're boyfriend's in a good space. They're on the phone
- 5:52Speaker 1: maybe with an emergency.
- 5:54Speaker 4: Correct, Well, we have no problem in emergency call. But
- 5:57Speaker 4: I probably a fewer than five percent of all cell
- 5:59Speaker 4: phone calls from urgency. These are people are on the
- 6:02Speaker 4: phone having a conversation about a horseback riding lessons or
- 6:05Speaker 4: is the furniture there yet, or I don't know, And
- 6:07Speaker 4: most of them are driving with one hand. Now, other
- 6:10Speaker 4: than police and the Citizens Auxuri police officers that I know,
- 6:13Speaker 4: I don't think it's safe to drive with one hand.
- 6:16Speaker 4: And so what we will be doing in the next
- 6:18Speaker 4: few months, in anticipation of these cell phones being banned,
- 6:21Speaker 4: Citizens Auxuri Police is traveling the roadways. We have large
- 6:25Speaker 4: poster signs that read hang up, hang it up, and
- 6:29Speaker 4: when you see a Citizen's Auxivery police officer, I can
- 6:31Speaker 4: speak to your audience right now, Phil, go ahead. When you
- 6:34Speaker 4: people out there see a Citizens Auxivery police officer with
- 6:37Speaker 4: a poster sign that we put up in the window
- 6:40Speaker 4: of the van, it says hang it up. What we
- 6:43Speaker 4: like to say is don't ask why, just do it
- 6:45Speaker 4: and don't cry. Hang it up and arrival live and
- 6:49Speaker 4: you'll be expected to terminate your phone conversation.
- 6:51Speaker 1: Okay, now you're gonna get the question what if I don't.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You're not a police officer. You don't have a what
- 6:56Speaker 1: if they don't terminate their phone conversation?
- 6:59Speaker 4: If they do not terminate their conversation, We're in the
- 7:01Speaker 4: process of installing some monitoring equipment. We can interrupt the
- 7:04Speaker 4: call and we can tell you this is the Citizens
- 7:07Speaker 4: Auguiury police, please terminate the phone conversation. If you do not,
- 7:11Speaker 4: and the phone conversation is I don't what you want
- 7:14Speaker 4: to call it is kind of juicy. We can roll
- 7:16Speaker 4: a tape on that, all right.
- 7:18Speaker 1: So you're taping people's phone conversations.
- 7:22Speaker 4: If it's old juicy a little thing, maybe you're not
- 7:24Speaker 4: supposed to be saying it's not juicy, then obviously it's
- 7:28Speaker 4: something we're not going to want to record it.
- 7:30Speaker 3: Well, what do you mean by juicy?
- 7:32Speaker 4: Oh little kind of something juicy talking? You know, maybe
- 7:35Speaker 4: you got a boyfriend you shouldn't have, You got a
- 7:38Speaker 4: girlfriend you shouldn't have. These are things I don't think
- 7:40Speaker 4: people want us to hear. So we'll put hang it up.
- 7:42Speaker 4: You're gonna hang it up, you.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Guys, all right, citizens Augiory Police, brig it. Your General
- 7:47Speaker 1: Jay Santos with me. It's with a lot of communities
- 7:49Speaker 1: banning cell phone use. You guys are out there in
- 7:53Speaker 1: anticipation of this with a sign that says hang it up.
- 7:56Speaker 1: That is correct, and you don't have any enforcement capability
- 7:59Speaker 1: beyond that.
- 8:00Speaker 4: We do not have any enforcement capability beyond that, but
- 8:02Speaker 4: we do once we get some of this monitoring equipment
- 8:05Speaker 4: installed we can begin to monitor some of the phone
- 8:09Speaker 4: calls that are out there and see what some of
- 8:11Speaker 4: these people are doing. I can guarantee you that you're
- 8:16Speaker 4: not gonna beving no juicy conversation.
- 8:19Speaker 1: And I want to get back to just one other
- 8:21Speaker 1: thing before we go to our break and again, Jay
- 8:23Speaker 1: Santis is a brigadier general with the Citizens Auxuri Police.
- 8:25Speaker 1: You guys do not have any official arrest capability.
- 8:29Speaker 5: Well, I wish I sort of wish.
- 8:31Speaker 4: You'd stop hitting that. Why well, I because I think
- 8:34Speaker 4: that sort of undercuts our authority. No, we can't arrest,
- 8:37Speaker 4: but we can when we're there. And when you see
- 8:39Speaker 4: our blue arm band and we wear a white pit
- 8:41Speaker 4: helmet with wingtips and Bermuda shorts, and you see the
- 8:44Speaker 4: blue armband and Citizens Luxuri Police, it causes some people's
- 8:48Speaker 4: calling to you know, we might lose their mud a
- 8:52Speaker 4: little bit. And so what we're trying to.
- 8:56Speaker 1: Do is all right, well, they may lose their mud
- 8:58Speaker 1: as you put it, or they get it, they get
- 8:59Speaker 1: freaked out by it, but you guys can't arrest. You
- 9:02Speaker 1: can't even legally monitor their phone conversation, can you.
- 9:05Speaker 4: So what we're doing is we're not going to legally,
- 9:08Speaker 4: we're not a monitor or anything like that. I'm already
- 9:10Speaker 4: to do anything with the tape if it's juicy. I
- 9:12Speaker 4: I'm just telling you, if you have a juicy conversation,
- 9:14Speaker 4: I'm going to want to listen in on it.
- 9:17Speaker 3: So it's sort of almost a threat of blackmail.
- 9:20Speaker 4: No, absolutely not scince the law.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It's just enough I'm having a conversation with the maid
- 9:25Speaker 1: who I'm having an affair with. I wouldn't want you
- 9:27Speaker 1: guys hearing that, So I'm going to hang it up.
- 9:28Speaker 4: You better believe it. You better believe it.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Jay Santas of the citizens on ZII Police. Just in
- 9:34Speaker 1: case you didn't hear. Governor George Pataki, for instance, of
- 9:37Speaker 1: New York State, has proposed a statewide band on driving
- 9:41Speaker 1: while using a handheld cellular phone, a move other states
- 9:44Speaker 1: are also considering, amid concerns about whether chatting drivers are
- 9:48Speaker 1: more easily distracted and more likely to crash. Phil Henry's Show.
- 10:02Speaker 3: And now more on the Phil Henry Show.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Really, what I'm talking about, Phil, is that you know,
- 10:08Speaker 4: when I was a little boy, right, my mother my
- 10:13Speaker 4: father got a package at our doorstep, and this was
- 10:17Speaker 4: addressed to my father, and this game from the US
- 10:19Speaker 4: mail and when he opened it up, it contained pictures
- 10:22Speaker 4: of my mother.
- 10:24Speaker 1: And what was she She was in a compromising position,
- 10:27Speaker 1: Yes she was.
- 10:28Speaker 4: She was having sass with another individual and it was
- 10:33Speaker 4: very graphic. And I've never forgotten that. And I realized
- 10:37Speaker 4: that that's the I guess you could say that's the
- 10:40Speaker 4: fruits of a failed marriage. You got to work hard
- 10:43Speaker 4: on your marriage. And don't think you're going to do
- 10:45Speaker 4: it on a cell phone. And uh, because I can
- 10:49Speaker 4: tell you right now, if you're on a cell phone
- 10:50Speaker 4: and we put up our poster board says hang it up,
- 10:52Speaker 4: you stay owner a conversation juicy. Uh, if we were
- 10:56Speaker 4: less than scrupulous people, maybe your husband would be some
- 11:00Speaker 4: juice pictures.
- 11:01Speaker 6: You.
- 11:01Speaker 3: Well, what are you talking about? You talking about blackmailing people.
- 11:04Speaker 4: So I'm not I'm just saying, just understand that these
- 11:08Speaker 4: conversations can be monitored.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Well and plasten that was the threat that you would
- 11:12Speaker 1: monitor them. But let's take a phone call here, bring
- 11:14Speaker 1: it to General Jay Santo. Citizens Auxiliary Police, Carolyn, Hi,
- 11:18Speaker 1: you're on the Phil Henry Show.
- 11:19Speaker 6: Uh yeah, my big deal is I understand.
- 11:22Speaker 7: You want to help the police and all, but you
- 11:23Speaker 7: keep talking about the conversations themselves. Okay, how about the
- 11:26Speaker 7: fact that it's just bad.
- 11:28Speaker 6: To be driving and talking because a lot of people
- 11:30Speaker 6: can't walk and she's done at the same time.
- 11:31Speaker 4: Well, that's that's a good point, Carolyn. And one of
- 11:33Speaker 4: the things we found is a lot of people can't
- 11:35Speaker 4: drive with one hand. They need both hands on a wheel.
- 11:39Speaker 6: That's true, and as a matter of fact.
- 11:41Speaker 4: They're having some juice. My big point is, well, you're
- 11:43Speaker 4: on a cell phone right now. To see, I've got
- 11:46Speaker 4: a dilemma right now, and my delamm is I'm talking
- 11:49Speaker 4: to you and I want to talk to you, but
- 11:51Speaker 4: you're on a cell phone. Almost feel like I'm like,
- 11:53Speaker 4: you're violating me somehow. I talk to you on a
- 11:56Speaker 4: cell phone.
- 11:57Speaker 6: Because you know how I anoliated unless you put yourself
- 11:59Speaker 6: and that's that you.
- 12:00Speaker 7: But you know how you're on the radio.
- 12:01Speaker 4: You know how I feel out there. But you know
- 12:03Speaker 4: how I feel about it. Yet you went ahead and
- 12:05Speaker 4: just called me up on a cell phone.
- 12:07Speaker 6: Well, did you not.
- 12:08Speaker 7: Want anybody go in common about yourselah?
- 12:09Speaker 3: I mean, what are you.
- 12:10Speaker 6: Gonna call it all?
- 12:11Speaker 3: Carolyn?
- 12:12Speaker 1: The laws are not I mean they're proposing the laws.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Jay in a lot of states. Okay, and obviously it's
- 12:16Speaker 1: not illegal where Carolyn is.
- 12:18Speaker 4: Well, it just feels like, oh yeah, I've never been
- 12:23Speaker 4: in jail, but it's like a jail rape or something
- 12:26Speaker 4: because I happened to be citizens auxury police officer.
- 12:29Speaker 7: Okay, what's uh for one?
- 12:32Speaker 6: I believe this is kind of an eaail rate to
- 12:34Speaker 6: be calling yourself.
- 12:34Speaker 7: A brigadier general. Okay, a brigadier general of an auxiliary
- 12:38Speaker 7: police thing.
- 12:39Speaker 6: If y'all really want to make a.
- 12:40Speaker 7: Statement, and I'm not down in your organization, just the
- 12:42Speaker 7: fact that you want to deem yourself a brigadier general.
- 12:45Speaker 4: I have a brigadier general. We got Elvis Major, Elvis
- 12:47Speaker 4: Newton's commander of the of the citizens of Auxiury Police
- 12:50Speaker 4: in the five different chapters we have.
- 12:53Speaker 7: Well that that's fine, but I'll tell you what else
- 12:55Speaker 7: you can do. They'll serve the public a whole lot better.
- 12:57Speaker 7: And I'm not saying cell phones are bad because you know, yeah,
- 13:00Speaker 7: I'm talking on one on the phone, but if I
- 13:02Speaker 7: got in a bad traving situation, I'd throw it on
- 13:03Speaker 7: the floorboard.
- 13:04Speaker 4: And well, here's the whole deal, uh, For you to
- 13:07Speaker 4: call me on a cell phone's like you slapping me
- 13:09Speaker 4: in the face. I know you didn't mean to do it.
- 13:12Speaker 4: I know you didn't mean to do it. Huh, but
- 13:14Speaker 4: I feel like you've all you know, like you lubricated
- 13:16Speaker 4: a broom handle.
- 13:17Speaker 6: Oh come on, man, No, I was going to do
- 13:21Speaker 6: that to you, sir.
- 13:21Speaker 7: I wouldn't even lubricate. But anyway I'm gonna make is
- 13:26Speaker 7: please do something to help out the police, because you
- 13:28Speaker 7: call yourself a citizens of auguser your police.
- 13:30Speaker 6: Why don't you park yourself on corners, you.
- 13:33Speaker 7: Know, school yards are housings and try to help the
- 13:36Speaker 7: police catch some of these freaks picking up kids.
- 13:38Speaker 8: You're kind of You're kind of a tomboy, aren't you
- 13:41Speaker 8: a tomboy?
- 13:42Speaker 4: A tom boy?
- 13:44Speaker 7: No, sir, I don't consider myself a tomboy.
- 13:45Speaker 6: Why would you say that?
- 13:46Speaker 4: You know what I mean by tom boy?
- 13:47Speaker 6: Right, I'm assuming why would you.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Well, what do you mean by that?
- 13:52Speaker 4: You just sound a little like you said you wouldn't
- 13:55Speaker 4: lubricate the broom handle.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Okay, Uh, Carolyn, thank you? What are you focusing on
- 13:59Speaker 1: that for?
- 14:00Speaker 4: I was monitoring that conversation, by the way, Phil, and
- 14:02Speaker 4: what were you doing? I was monitoring that we were
- 14:05Speaker 4: using the monitoring equipment and monitor that conversation.
- 14:08Speaker 3: You were monitoring the conversation you were just having with her.
- 14:11Speaker 4: That is correct.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Well, of course you were monitoring it. You were on
- 14:14Speaker 3: the phone with her.
- 14:16Speaker 4: Yeah, but we were using it. So what are you saying?
- 14:19Speaker 3: Were you were using your monitoring equipment?
- 14:21Speaker 5: Right?
- 14:21Speaker 4: Any were you on that? Yeah?
- 14:24Speaker 3: Well what do you need to do that for? You
- 14:25Speaker 3: could have just rolled a tape on the phone that
- 14:26Speaker 3: you're on, Eddie.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Phil says, we could have just rolled a tape on
- 14:29Speaker 4: a phone.
- 14:30Speaker 3: Or on what is he moron?
- 14:32Speaker 1: He doesn't know that either. Here is Houston on the
- 14:36Speaker 1: Phil Henry Show. Hello, Hello Houston, Go ahead, sir.
- 14:40Speaker 4: Uh yeah.
- 14:41Speaker 8: I was just the guy that's got the gallop the
- 14:44Speaker 8: cell phone, in the marriage with his parents, and the
- 14:46Speaker 8: problems with his mother and the pictures and all this
- 14:48Speaker 8: kind of stuff. Sounds like it's got a personal vendetta
- 14:51Speaker 8: running around in his head.
- 14:52Speaker 4: Ah, I asked you, that's just a flat question. Do
- 14:54Speaker 4: you use a cell phone in public?
- 14:56Speaker 8: I'm using a cell phone right now in public at
- 14:58Speaker 8: my drive cleaner, which.
- 14:59Speaker 6: I viol in the car.
- 15:00Speaker 4: What's the point?
- 15:02Speaker 5: Uh?
- 15:02Speaker 4: See, once again you call me up. That's like violating me.
- 15:07Speaker 1: In a holding self, we would turn out to cents.
- 15:14Speaker 4: What do you mean you know how I feel about
- 15:17Speaker 4: cell phone? What do you what do you find so funny?
- 15:19Speaker 8: Well, what I find so funny is that it seems
- 15:21Speaker 8: like you're you have a personal vendetta against everybody's using
- 15:25Speaker 8: a cell phone because your your parents' marriage wasn't successful.
- 15:28Speaker 4: No, I'm saying, I'm saying, you know your position and
- 15:30Speaker 4: this it's Michael right, and it's Mike right. Okay, Michael,
- 15:34Speaker 4: most of these women that are out there, you're a man.
- 15:36Speaker 4: I understand you needed for business. Most of these women
- 15:38Speaker 4: are out there on a cell phone, trying to save
- 15:40Speaker 4: their failing marriages, trying to save failing relations. Completely disagree.
- 15:44Speaker 4: I'll see how you can make it.
- 15:45Speaker 8: Make it your broad hand, broad handed statement.
- 15:47Speaker 4: A lot of these women during the day, a lot
- 15:48Speaker 4: of these housewives don't work. They're calling their husband, they're
- 15:52Speaker 4: having some kind of a nervous break.
- 15:53Speaker 6: Oh my god, what.
- 15:54Speaker 9: Century were you born in?
- 15:56Speaker 8: What all these housewives that don't work? I have I
- 15:58Speaker 8: have male friends who stay at home, who all the
- 16:02Speaker 8: children and the wives work.
- 16:03Speaker 4: And well, one of these people are trying to save marriages,
- 16:07Speaker 4: are trying to you know, are you in a good space?
- 16:09Speaker 4: Can I talk to you right now?
- 16:10Speaker 8: What is to do with doing a cell phone in
- 16:12Speaker 8: the car At the point is why they talked on
- 16:14Speaker 8: the cell phone.
- 16:15Speaker 1: So what are you saying, Jay sayings a lot of frivolous.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Conversation, unnecessary conversation. My mother and father got along fine,
- 16:21Speaker 4: and your mother.
- 16:22Speaker 1: And father got along fight until your dad received pictures
- 16:24Speaker 1: of your mother.
- 16:26Speaker 4: That is correct that I cannot argue with.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Okay, do you suppose if your dad was talking to
- 16:30Speaker 1: your mom on a cell phone that your mother wouldn't
- 16:32Speaker 1: have been out having an affair.
- 16:33Speaker 4: I do not know the answer to that, and I
- 16:36Speaker 4: I just know it hurt me very deeply, my father
- 16:38Speaker 4: getting pictures in the male black and white of my
- 16:41Speaker 4: mother in every conceivable kind of sexual ruse. And I
- 16:46Speaker 4: think it's it's tough.
- 16:48Speaker 8: Well, you know, I feel for you in that respect
- 16:51Speaker 8: and everything.
- 16:51Speaker 4: And your old boy to find him too, because he
- 16:53Speaker 4: left them laying around.
- 16:56Speaker 3: Okay, that's the whole thing.
- 16:58Speaker 9: Yeah, that's you and the rest of the stuff very very.
- 17:03Speaker 1: It's very personal stuff, Jay, I say, that's very personal stuff.
- 17:07Speaker 4: It is personally understand that. Well, let let's get back
- 17:10Speaker 4: to these women and call her husband's thirty forty times
- 17:12Speaker 4: a day at work, interrupting a man's work, making it
- 17:14Speaker 4: hard to get work done. Uh, this is what I'm
- 17:17Speaker 4: talking about, Michael. I'm not talking about you, but I
- 17:20Speaker 4: would wish that you, if you call me, call me
- 17:22Speaker 4: from your home the same things.
- 17:26Speaker 8: You may couldn't wait till I got home.
- 17:28Speaker 4: I understand. It just feels like he just took off
- 17:30Speaker 4: a rubber glove and just went ahead and just kneeled
- 17:32Speaker 4: me right across the face with it, and and yeah,
- 17:35Speaker 4: ha ha, But that's how I feel.
- 17:37Speaker 1: All right. Look, Michael, thanks for your call. I know
- 17:39Speaker 1: that you're in the dry cleaners right now. So those
- 17:42Speaker 1: people calling from all over the place. This is Russ
- 17:44Speaker 1: on the Phil Henry Show.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Hello, Yes, yes, sir.
- 17:46Speaker 9: I wanted to comment about this individual about the cell phone.
- 17:51Speaker 9: I think somebody like him is extremely combative. His techniques
- 17:53Speaker 9: are very combati And I'll tell you what, if you
- 17:55Speaker 9: ever came up to me when I'm driving and told
- 17:56Speaker 9: me to put my cell phone down.
- 17:57Speaker 5: He'd get hurt.
- 17:58Speaker 4: No, hold lot over, are you already overreacting? We put
- 18:02Speaker 4: a sign of we put up a sign in the window.
- 18:04Speaker 4: You're stepping over the line and the window.
- 18:07Speaker 9: Technique your technique, I say, but I didn't want to get.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Anybody and tell him to put the phone down. We
- 18:12Speaker 4: put a sign up in the window that says, hang
- 18:14Speaker 4: it up.
- 18:15Speaker 9: I heard, I heard earlier that you would go in
- 18:17Speaker 9: and then I guess tap their phone.
- 18:19Speaker 4: And no, no, no, no, I don't know, no, I don't
- 18:21Speaker 4: think you are. What we do is we do have
- 18:23Speaker 4: phone monitoring equipment, and we put up a sign and
- 18:25Speaker 4: Winner says, hang it up. First of all, this is
- 18:27Speaker 4: done in a car.
- 18:28Speaker 3: Phil, all right, so you guys are mobile.
- 18:29Speaker 5: We're mobile.
- 18:30Speaker 4: We see this guy, what's your name, Russ? We see
- 18:32Speaker 4: Russ on the phone. I'll put a sign up to
- 18:34Speaker 4: the winniss hang it up. If Russ looks over at
- 18:36Speaker 4: me and stays on the phone, then maybe we can
- 18:38Speaker 4: tap into that conversation he's having and a little juicy sales.
- 18:43Speaker 9: And I and I have to use a cell phone.
- 18:44Speaker 9: And I'm telling you it's somebody about you came up
- 18:46Speaker 9: to me and pulled that stuff.
- 18:47Speaker 4: My father was in sales. You get hurt my father.
- 18:51Speaker 4: My father was in sales and he didn't need a
- 18:53Speaker 4: cell phone.
- 18:54Speaker 9: What did he sell toilet cleaners.
- 18:56Speaker 4: Well, this is fact.
- 18:57Speaker 9: They saw something completely different.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Very what I said.
- 19:00Speaker 6: I'm on car and I have to have a phone.
- 19:02Speaker 9: And I'm telling you if somebody like you tried to
- 19:04Speaker 9: interrupt your.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Minding your car, we're monitoring your car. Right you get hurt,
- 19:07Speaker 4: You're we're monitoring your car right now?
- 19:09Speaker 5: Yeah? Good for you?
- 19:10Speaker 4: Yeah, So what do you think of that?
- 19:12Speaker 6: I really don't care.
- 19:13Speaker 4: You know, get hurt. Well, I'm monitoring your car right now.
- 19:16Speaker 4: What you can do about it?
- 19:17Speaker 1: All right, gentlemen?
- 19:18Speaker 4: No, no, no, he started it. I'm monitoring your car right now.
- 19:20Speaker 4: What you can do about it?
- 19:22Speaker 9: You know, I don't really don't care if you're a
- 19:23Speaker 9: call I talk about the fact that what you're doing
- 19:26Speaker 9: trying to get people to stop using your cell phones
- 19:28Speaker 9: when they need them. You know, I admit there's some
- 19:30Speaker 9: people out there that maybe you're not as coordinated and
- 19:32Speaker 9: shouldn't be using a phone.
- 19:33Speaker 5: How do I know everybody?
- 19:34Speaker 4: How do I know you are? Let's talk about you.
- 19:36Speaker 4: Could you drive with one hand?
- 19:39Speaker 9: I could drive with zero.
- 19:41Speaker 4: You can drive with zero hands? What do you drive with?
- 19:45Speaker 9: I drive with a hand. What's your point?
- 19:48Speaker 4: Where's your other hand?
- 19:49Speaker 3: It's on his phone.
- 19:50Speaker 9: Okay, all right, yeah, I say it's on my phone.
- 19:52Speaker 9: You know that's which else would it be?
- 19:56Speaker 4: Good question?
- 19:58Speaker 9: So what's your point? You're trying to make point?
- 20:00Speaker 5: Make it?
- 20:00Speaker 4: I just made my point.
- 20:02Speaker 9: No, you didn't make a point.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Yeah I believe I did. I don't think you're listening.
- 20:05Speaker 9: You didn't make it.
- 20:06Speaker 4: Got one hand on the wheel, one hand on the phone.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Where's your other hand?
- 20:09Speaker 9: One handful of the steering wheel, one hand on the phone.
- 20:11Speaker 9: What is your point?
- 20:11Speaker 4: Where's your other hand?
- 20:13Speaker 3: What do you mean where's his other hand?
- 20:15Speaker 4: You are on one hand on the wheel, the one
- 20:20Speaker 4: on the phone.
- 20:21Speaker 3: What do you mean where's his other hand?
- 20:24Speaker 1: Oh? Man?
- 20:25Speaker 4: All right, gentlemen, you want to know you guys want
- 20:27Speaker 4: to make a lamp now, you guys, You guys want
- 20:28Speaker 4: to make a joke. If you fine, you want to
- 20:31Speaker 4: make a joke and it's it's inappropriate and that's just
- 20:34Speaker 4: it's just out of line. Yeah, you want to make
- 20:36Speaker 4: a joke about this, people will die, Russ and you'll
- 20:38Speaker 4: probably you know, you kill a kid. That's your It's
- 20:41Speaker 4: on you.
- 20:43Speaker 3: One hand on the wheel, one hand on the phone.
- 20:48Speaker 4: I don't I just want to where the other hand is?
- 20:50Speaker 3: What other hand. Has he got three hands?
- 20:52Speaker 4: Everybody has two hands.
- 20:54Speaker 3: One hand on the wheel, right, that's one.
- 20:58Speaker 4: You there, I'm right here, Phil, and need to be
- 21:00Speaker 4: yelled at.
- 21:00Speaker 3: Okay, one hand on the wheel, that's one.
- 21:03Speaker 1: One hand on the phone.
- 21:06Speaker 4: That's one.
- 21:07Speaker 3: That's two.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Now you said one hand on the one.
- 21:09Speaker 3: Plus one equals too. Where's your other hand?
- 21:13Speaker 1: Phil Henry?
- 21:14Speaker 10: Show and now Phil Henry?
- 21:25Speaker 1: And right now we have on the line with us.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Where is a Jay Santos? Where's his where's where's his
- 21:30Speaker 1: radio room? Okay, well it wasn't punched up? Oh Jay
- 21:34Speaker 1: you there? Well okay, well we don't have to Jay
- 21:37Speaker 1: you there.
- 21:39Speaker 4: I'm sorry, Phil. You're trying to try to coordinate a
- 21:42Speaker 4: couple of different things and some of the officers out
- 21:44Speaker 4: on the field right now, all.
- 21:45Speaker 1: Right, Jay Santos, Citizens Xivery Police. There are a lot
- 21:48Speaker 1: of laws being considered now banning cell phones.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Oh that's correct.
- 21:52Speaker 1: Yeah, have you heard that?
- 21:54Speaker 4: I have read a lot of that, Yes, I have.
- 21:56Speaker 1: And you've read about the cell phone ban? And what
- 21:58Speaker 1: is this based on safety? Well?
- 22:00Speaker 4: I think it's an understandable. We've had the wake up
- 22:02Speaker 4: call on cell phones for a long time, filled the
- 22:04Speaker 4: wake up call in many communities, a lot of them
- 22:07Speaker 4: are banning them with good reason, because other than emergency communication,
- 22:11Speaker 4: there doesn't seem to be any reason to use a
- 22:14Speaker 4: cell phone. We know that many communities do not yet
- 22:16Speaker 4: have these restrictions, but we're anticipating them, and we want
- 22:20Speaker 4: to get people used to the idea that you can
- 22:21Speaker 4: drive a car without without talking on a cell.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Phone and that and to that end, you guys and
- 22:26Speaker 1: the citizens auxiliary police just as you guys are volunteer
- 22:29Speaker 1: police officers.
- 22:30Speaker 4: That's correct, yes, but you.
- 22:31Speaker 1: Rely upon the constitutional right to a citizens arrest, so
- 22:36Speaker 1: you don't really carry a badge.
- 22:37Speaker 4: We don't carry about. What we like to say, Phil,
- 22:39Speaker 4: is we do walk softly. We carry a big stick.
- 22:42Speaker 4: We see ourselves as an adjunct or an assist, if
- 22:45Speaker 4: you will, to the police. We do some flare drops,
- 22:49Speaker 4: we do some traffic control, and certainly when a situation
- 22:52Speaker 4: like this arises, that cell phones are dangerous or what
- 22:55Speaker 4: have you, well we like to think we're on standby
- 22:59Speaker 4: for the safety of the community.
- 23:01Speaker 1: All right, Well, cell phones now being banned in a
- 23:03Speaker 1: lot of different communities. Where does the citizen's auxili police
- 23:07Speaker 1: come into this?
- 23:08Speaker 4: I think, first of all, Phil it's kind of a
- 23:09Speaker 4: philosophical thing. If I could take you back, I remember
- 23:12Speaker 4: when I was a boy, my father and my mother
- 23:14Speaker 4: kissed each other good bye in the morning, and they
- 23:15Speaker 4: saw each other again at night, and they hadn't spoken
- 23:18Speaker 4: a word all day, and that was good enough for them,
- 23:20Speaker 4: and they'd be talking to night about how their day
- 23:22Speaker 4: went today. I think what you've got with a lot
- 23:25Speaker 4: of cell phone users, especially a lot of women out there,
- 23:28Speaker 4: they're worried about their marriages falling apart or nervous about
- 23:32Speaker 4: their relations She has fallen apart. And you see a
- 23:34Speaker 4: lot of these housewives that are on a cell phone
- 23:36Speaker 4: with their husband trying to make sure they're in a
- 23:39Speaker 4: good space. My wife has a very dear friend, Lady Liz,
- 23:42Speaker 4: actually doesn't live in our community. She lives down more
- 23:44Speaker 4: than Palace Verdi's, and she is constantly on the phone
- 23:47Speaker 4: with her husband. Are you in a good space today
- 23:49Speaker 4: and trying to work out their marriage and all this nonsense?
- 23:53Speaker 4: And have you got so many marriages that are on
- 23:55Speaker 4: the rocks right now?
- 23:56Speaker 1: Are you saying there's a lot of people on cell
- 23:58Speaker 1: phones trying to salvage their marriages.
- 24:00Speaker 4: Well, I think that I think a lot of it
- 24:03Speaker 4: is that a.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Lot of there's a lot of insecure relationships.
- 24:06Speaker 4: I think a lot of it is that there's a
- 24:07Speaker 4: lot of people driving in the car and they're talking
- 24:10Speaker 4: on a phone to a therapist or a headshrinker. I
- 24:14Speaker 4: remember when I was a boy. My parents are very
- 24:15Speaker 4: happily married. I've got a very strong marriage. My wife
- 24:18Speaker 4: and I don't need to be talking all the time.
- 24:20Speaker 5: You know.
- 24:20Speaker 4: It's sort of the call a psychologists call it anal
- 24:24Speaker 4: compulsion because it has to do with your you know,
- 24:27Speaker 4: your butt, you know, because that's what the anal thing is.
- 24:30Speaker 1: And I understand that I know what that is. A
- 24:32Speaker 1: Freudian term, anally compulsive. Someone who is constantly.
- 24:35Speaker 4: Yeah, sounds like always with their finger in their butt,
- 24:38Speaker 4: I guess is what that means. But really what we're
- 24:40Speaker 4: talking about here is getting these people off the phones
- 24:43Speaker 4: and getting them back to you know, you're not if
- 24:45Speaker 4: you're insecure in your marriage.
- 24:47Speaker 3: And well, certainly there.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Are people on the phone for a variety of reasons,
- 24:50Speaker 1: that is correct. Okay, so they're not just on the
- 24:51Speaker 1: phone trying to salvage their failing marriages or they're you know,
- 24:55Speaker 1: trying to find out if their boyfriend's in a good space.
- 24:58Speaker 1: They're on the phone, maybe with an emergency.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Correct, well, we have no problem in emergency call. But
- 25:04Speaker 4: I probably a fewer than five percent of all cell
- 25:06Speaker 4: phone calls or emergency. These are people are on the
- 25:08Speaker 4: phone having a conversation about horseback riding lessons, or is
- 25:12Speaker 4: the furniture there yet, or I don't know. And most
- 25:14Speaker 4: of them are driving with one hand. Now, other than
- 25:17Speaker 4: police and the Citizen's auxiurvery police officers that I know,
- 25:20Speaker 4: I don't think it's safe to drive with one hand.
- 25:23Speaker 4: And so what we will be doing in the next
- 25:24Speaker 4: few months in anticipation of these cell phones being banned,
- 25:28Speaker 4: Citizens AUXIVERI police is traveling the roadways. We have large
- 25:31Speaker 4: poster signs that read hang up, hang it up. And
- 25:36Speaker 4: when you see a Citizen's aux every police officer, I
- 25:38Speaker 4: canna speak to your audience right now, Phil, go ahead.
- 25:40Speaker 4: When you people out there see a citizens auxivery police
- 25:43Speaker 4: officer with a poster sign that we put up in
- 25:46Speaker 4: the window of the van, it says hang it up.
- 25:49Speaker 4: What we like to say is don't ask why, I
- 25:51Speaker 4: just do it, and don't cry. Hang it up and
- 25:54Speaker 4: arrival live and you'll be expected to terminate your phone conversation.
- 25:58Speaker 1: Okay, now you're gonna get the question, what if I don't.
- 26:00Speaker 1: You're not a police officer, you don't have a what
- 26:03Speaker 1: if they don't terminate their phone conversation?
- 26:05Speaker 4: If they do not terminate their conversation, we're in the
- 26:08Speaker 4: process of installing some monitoring equipment. We can interrupt the call,
- 26:11Speaker 4: and we can tell tell you this is the citizens
- 26:13Speaker 4: Augilury Police. Please terminate the phone conversation. If you do not,
- 26:18Speaker 4: and the phone conversation is I don't know what you
- 26:21Speaker 4: want to call it is kind of juicy. We can
- 26:23Speaker 4: roll a tape on that, all.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Right, So you're taping people's phone conversations.
- 26:29Speaker 4: If it's old juicy, a little thing, maybe you're not
- 26:31Speaker 4: supposed to be saying it's not juicy, then obviously it's
- 26:35Speaker 4: something we're not going to want to record it.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Well, what do you mean by juicy?
- 26:38Speaker 4: Oh little kind of something juicy talking? You know, maybe
- 26:42Speaker 4: you got a boyfriend you shouldn't have, you got a
- 26:44Speaker 4: girlfriend you shouldn't have. These are things I don't think
- 26:46Speaker 4: people want us to hear, so we'll put hang it up.
- 26:49Speaker 4: You're gonna hang it up.
- 26:50Speaker 1: You guys, all right, Citizens Augenury Police Brigadier General Jay
- 26:53Speaker 1: Santos with me. It's with a lot of communities banning
- 26:57Speaker 1: cell phone use. You guys are out there and anti
- 27:00Speaker 1: a patient of this with a sign that says hang
- 27:02Speaker 1: it up. That is correct, and you don't have any
- 27:04Speaker 1: enforcement capability beyond that.
- 27:06Speaker 4: We do not have any enforcement capability beyond that, but
- 27:09Speaker 4: we do once we get some of this monitoring equipment installed,
- 27:13Speaker 4: we can begin to monitor some of the phone calls
- 27:16Speaker 4: that are out there and see what some of these
- 27:18Speaker 4: people are doing. I can guarantee you that you're not
- 27:23Speaker 4: gonna be having no juicy conversation.
- 27:26Speaker 1: And I want to get back to just one other
- 27:27Speaker 1: thing before we go to our break. And again, Jay
- 27:30Speaker 1: Santis is a brigadier general with the Citizens Auxuri Police.
- 27:32Speaker 1: You guys do not have any official arrest capability.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Well, I wish I sort of wish you'd stop hitting that. Why, Well,
- 27:40Speaker 4: I because I think that sort of undercuts our authority. No,
- 27:42Speaker 4: we can't arrest, but we can when we're there and
- 27:45Speaker 4: when you see our blue arm band and we wear
- 27:47Speaker 4: a white pit helmet with wingtips and Bermuda shorts, and
- 27:50Speaker 4: you see the blue armband and citizens Luxuri police. It
- 27:53Speaker 4: causes some people's calling to you know, they might lose
- 27:58Speaker 4: their mud a little bit, and so what we're trying to.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Do is, all right, well, they may lose their mud,
- 28:04Speaker 1: as you put it, or they get it, they get
- 28:05Speaker 1: freaked out by it. But you guys can't arrest. You
- 28:08Speaker 1: can't even legally monitor their phone conversation, can you.
- 28:12Speaker 4: So what we're doing is we're not going to legally
- 28:14Speaker 4: We're not a monitor or anything like that. I'm already
- 28:17Speaker 4: doing anything with the tape if it's juicy. I just
- 28:19Speaker 4: I'm just telling you, if you have a juicy conversation,
- 28:21Speaker 4: I'm gonna want to listen in on it.
- 28:23Speaker 3: So it's sort of almost a threat of blackmail.
- 28:27Speaker 4: No, absolutely not, it's against the law.
- 28:29Speaker 1: It's just that if I'm having a conversation with the
- 28:31Speaker 1: maid who I'm having an affair with, I wouldn't want
- 28:33Speaker 1: you guys hearing that. So I'm going to hang it up.
- 28:35Speaker 4: You better believe it. You better believe it.
- 28:38Speaker 1: Jay Santos the Citizens on ZII Police. Just in case
- 28:41Speaker 1: you didn't hear, Governor George Pataki, for instance, of New
- 28:44Speaker 1: York State, has proposed a statewide band on driving while
- 28:48Speaker 1: using a handheld cellular phone a move. Other states are
- 28:51Speaker 1: also considering, amid concerns about whether chatting drivers are more
- 28:54Speaker 1: easily distracted and more likely to crash. Phil Henry's Show.
- 29:09Speaker 3: And now more on the Phil Andry Show.
- 29:12Speaker 4: Really, what I'm talking about, Philly, is that you know,
- 29:15Speaker 4: when I was a little boy, right, my mother, my
- 29:19Speaker 4: father got a package at our doorstep and this was
- 29:23Speaker 4: addressed to my father and this game from the US mail.
- 29:26Speaker 4: And when he opened it up, it contained pictures of
- 29:29Speaker 4: my mother.
- 29:31Speaker 1: And what was she She was in a compromising position,
- 29:33Speaker 1: Yes she was.
- 29:35Speaker 4: She was having sass with another individual and it was
- 29:40Speaker 4: very graphic. And I've never forgotten that. And I realized
- 29:44Speaker 4: that that's the I guess you could say that's the
- 29:47Speaker 4: fruits of a failed marriage. You got to work hard
- 29:50Speaker 4: on your marriage. And don't think you're going to do
- 29:51Speaker 4: it on a cell phone. And uh, because I canna
- 29:55Speaker 4: tell you right now. If you're on a cell phone
- 29:57Speaker 4: and we put up our poster board says hang it up,
- 29:59Speaker 4: you stay owner, and a conversation juicy. Uh. If we
- 30:03Speaker 4: were less than scrupulous people, maybe your husband would be
- 30:06Speaker 4: getting some juice pictures of you.
- 30:08Speaker 3: Well, what are you talking about?
- 30:09Speaker 4: You talking about blackmailing people, So I'm not I'm just saying,
- 30:13Speaker 4: just understand that these conversations can be monitored.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Well and listen, that was the threat that you would
- 30:19Speaker 1: monitor them. But let's take a phone call here. Bring
- 30:21Speaker 1: it to General Jay Santos. Citizen's auxili police. Carolyn, Hi,
- 30:24Speaker 1: you're on the Phil Henry Show.
- 30:26Speaker 7: Uh yeah.
- 30:27Speaker 6: My big deal is I understand you want to.
- 30:29Speaker 7: Help the police and all that. You keep talking about
- 30:30Speaker 7: the conversations themselves. Okay, how about.
- 30:33Speaker 6: The fact that it's just bad to be driving.
- 30:36Speaker 7: And talking because a lot of people can't walk and she's.
- 30:37Speaker 6: Done at the same time.
- 30:38Speaker 4: Well, that's that's a good point, Carolyn. And one of
- 30:40Speaker 4: the things we found as a lot of people can't
- 30:42Speaker 4: drive with one hand. They need both hands on a wheel.
- 30:46Speaker 4: That's true, and as a matter of fact, but they're
- 30:48Speaker 4: having some juice. My big point is, well, you're on
- 30:50Speaker 4: a cell phone right now. To see, I've got a
- 30:53Speaker 4: dilemma right now, and my delamm is I'm talking to
- 30:56Speaker 4: you and I want to talk to you, but you're
- 30:58Speaker 4: on a cell phone. Almost feel like I'm like you're
- 31:00Speaker 4: violating me somehow. I talk to the long cell phone,
- 31:04Speaker 4: because you.
- 31:04Speaker 6: Know how I lid unless you put yourself in that situation.
- 31:06Speaker 6: You know how you're on the radio.
- 31:08Speaker 4: You know how I feel about it out there, but
- 31:10Speaker 4: you know how I feel about it. Yet you went
- 31:11Speaker 4: ahead and just called me up on a cell phone.
- 31:13Speaker 6: Well, did you not.
- 31:14Speaker 7: Want anybody in common about yourself?
- 31:16Speaker 3: I mean, what are you gonna call it?
- 31:17Speaker 7: All?
- 31:18Speaker 3: Carolyn?
- 31:18Speaker 1: The laws are not I mean they're proposing the laws
- 31:21Speaker 1: jay in a lot of states, okay, and obviously it's
- 31:23Speaker 1: not illegal where Carolyn is.
- 31:25Speaker 4: Well, it just feels like, oh, yeah, I've never been
- 31:29Speaker 4: in jail, but it's like a jail rape or something
- 31:33Speaker 4: because I happened to be a citizens auxury police officer.
- 31:36Speaker 6: Okay, what's uh for one? I believe this is kind
- 31:39Speaker 6: of an easy jail rate to be calling yourself a
- 31:41Speaker 6: brigadier general.
- 31:42Speaker 7: Okay, a brigadier general of an auxiliary police thing.
- 31:45Speaker 6: If y'all really want to make it a statement, and
- 31:47Speaker 6: I'm not.
- 31:48Speaker 7: Down in your organization, just the fact that you want
- 31:50Speaker 7: to deem yourself a brigadier general.
- 31:51Speaker 4: I have a brigadier general. We got Elvis Major Elvis
- 31:53Speaker 4: Newtoness commander of the of the Citizens auxiury police in
- 31:57Speaker 4: the five different chapters we have.
- 31:59Speaker 7: Well that that's fine, but I'll tell you what else
- 32:01Speaker 7: you can do that'll serve the public a whole lot better.
- 32:04Speaker 6: And I'm not saying cell phones are bad because you know, yeah, I'm.
- 32:07Speaker 7: Talking on one on the phone, but if I got
- 32:09Speaker 7: in a bad tracking situation, I'd throw it on the floorboard.
- 32:11Speaker 4: And well, here's the whole deal, uh, for you to
- 32:14Speaker 4: call me on a cell phones like you slapping me
- 32:16Speaker 4: in the face. I know you didn't mean to do it.
- 32:19Speaker 4: I know you didn't mean to do it, but I
- 32:21Speaker 4: feel like you've all you know, like you lubricated a
- 32:23Speaker 4: broom handle.
- 32:24Speaker 6: Oh come on, man, No I was going to do
- 32:27Speaker 6: that to you, sir.
- 32:28Speaker 7: I wouldn't even lubricate. But anyway I make it is
- 32:32Speaker 7: to do something to help out the police. Because you
- 32:34Speaker 7: call yourself a citizen's auxiliar police.
- 32:37Speaker 6: Why don't you park yourself on corners, you.
- 32:40Speaker 7: Know, school yards are housing and try to help the
- 32:43Speaker 7: police catch some of these freaks picking up kids.
- 32:45Speaker 4: You're kind of you're kind of you're kind of a tomboy,
- 32:47Speaker 4: aren't you a tomboy? A tom boy?
- 32:50Speaker 7: No, sir, I don't consider myself a tomboy.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Why would you say that, you know what I mean
- 32:53Speaker 4: by tom boy?
- 32:54Speaker 7: Right, I'm assuming.
- 32:57Speaker 1: Why would you out a little like you said.
- 33:01Speaker 4: You wouldn't lubricate the broom handle?
- 33:03Speaker 3: Okay, Carolyn, thank you? What are you focusing on that for?
- 33:06Speaker 4: I was monitoring that conversation, by the way, Phil, And
- 33:09Speaker 4: what were you doing? I was monitoring that we were
- 33:12Speaker 4: using with the monitoring equipment and monitor that conversation.
- 33:15Speaker 3: You were monitoring the conversation you were just having with her.
- 33:17Speaker 4: That is correct.
- 33:19Speaker 3: Well, of course you were monitoring it. You were on
- 33:21Speaker 3: the phone with her.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Yeah, but we were using it. So what are you saying?
- 33:26Speaker 3: Were you using your monitoring equipment?
- 33:27Speaker 5: Right?
- 33:28Speaker 4: Any were you on that? Yeah?
- 33:30Speaker 1: Well what do you need to do that for?
- 33:31Speaker 3: You could have just rolled a tape on the phone
- 33:33Speaker 3: that you're on, Eddie.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Phil says, we could have just rolled a tape on
- 33:36Speaker 4: the phone.
- 33:36Speaker 1: Or on what is he a moron? He doesn't know
- 33:39Speaker 1: that either. Here is Houston on the Phil Henry Show. Hello, Houston,
- 33:46Speaker 1: go ahead, sir, h.
- 33:48Speaker 8: Yeah, I was just the guy that's got the gallop
- 33:51Speaker 8: the cell phone in the marriage with his parents and
- 33:53Speaker 8: the problems with his mother and the pictures and all
- 33:54Speaker 8: this kind of stuff. It sounds like it's goin a
- 33:56Speaker 8: personal vendetta running around in his head.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Ah, I asked you, it's just a flat question. Do
- 34:01Speaker 4: you use a cell phone in public?
- 34:03Speaker 8: I'm using a cell phone right now in public? Get
- 34:05Speaker 8: my drive cleaner, which I die in the car?
- 34:07Speaker 4: What's the point? Uh? See? Once again you're calling me up.
- 34:11Speaker 4: That's like violating me in a holding cellf.
- 34:17Speaker 9: What do you mean.
- 34:20Speaker 4: You know how I feel about cell phone? What do
- 34:21Speaker 4: you what do you find so funny?
- 34:23Speaker 9: Well?
- 34:23Speaker 8: What what I find so funny is that it seems
- 34:25Speaker 8: like you're give a personal vendetta against everybody's using a
- 34:28Speaker 8: cell phone because your your parents' marriage wasn't successing.
- 34:31Speaker 4: No I'm saying, I'm saying, you know your position and
- 34:34Speaker 4: this it's Michael right, and it's Mike r Right. Okay, Michael,
- 34:38Speaker 4: most of these women that are out there, you're a man.
- 34:39Speaker 4: I understand you needed for business. Most of these women
- 34:41Speaker 4: are out there on a cell phone trying to save
- 34:44Speaker 4: their failing marriages, trying to save failing relations.
- 34:46Speaker 9: I completely disagree.
- 34:47Speaker 8: I'll see I used make it your broad hand, broad
- 34:50Speaker 8: handed statement.
- 34:50Speaker 4: A lot of these women during the day. A lot
- 34:52Speaker 4: of these housewives don't work. They're calling their husband, they're
- 34:55Speaker 4: having some kind of a nervous break.
- 34:57Speaker 8: Oh my god, what century were you born in?
- 34:59Speaker 4: What's that?
- 35:00Speaker 8: All the housewives that don't work? I have I have
- 35:02Speaker 8: male friends who stay at home. Who who are the children?
- 35:06Speaker 4: And the wives work? And well a lot of these
- 35:09Speaker 4: people are trying to save marriages, are trying to you know,
- 35:11Speaker 4: are you in a good space? Can I talk to
- 35:13Speaker 4: you right?
- 35:13Speaker 1: Man?
- 35:13Speaker 8: What to do with doting a cell phone in the car?
- 35:16Speaker 6: About the point is your why they talked on the
- 35:18Speaker 6: cell phone?
- 35:18Speaker 1: So what are you saying? Jay saying? It's a lot
- 35:19Speaker 1: of frivolous.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Conversation, unnecessary conversation. My mother and father got along fine,
- 35:24Speaker 4: and your mother and father.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Got along fight until your dad received pictures of your mother.
- 35:29Speaker 4: That is correct that I cannot argue with.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Okay, do you suppose if your dad was talking to
- 35:34Speaker 1: your mom on a cell phone that your mother wouldn't
- 35:36Speaker 1: have been out having an affair.
- 35:37Speaker 4: I do not know the answer to that, and I
- 35:39Speaker 4: I just know it hurt me very deeply, my father
- 35:41Speaker 4: getting pictures in the male black and white of my
- 35:45Speaker 4: mother in every conceivable kind of sexual ruse. And I
- 35:49Speaker 4: think it's it's tough.
- 35:52Speaker 8: Well, you know, I feel for you in that respect
- 35:54Speaker 8: and everything your old boy to.
- 35:56Speaker 4: Find him too, because he left them laying around.
- 35:59Speaker 1: Okay, that's the whole thing. Yeah, that's you.
- 36:02Speaker 3: That's right.
- 36:03Speaker 1: You and the rest of the stuff very very pro
- 36:05Speaker 1: just it's it was, it's very personal stuff.
- 36:08Speaker 3: Jay, I say, that's very personal stuff.
- 36:10Speaker 6: It is personally understand that.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Well, let let's get back to these women to call
- 36:14Speaker 4: her husband's thirty forty times a day at work, interrupting
- 36:16Speaker 4: a man's work, making it hard to get work done. Uh,
- 36:20Speaker 4: this is what I'm talking about, Michael. I'm not talking
- 36:21Speaker 4: about you, but I would wish that you if you
- 36:25Speaker 4: call me, called me from your home.
- 36:29Speaker 6: Saying you may couldn't wait till I got home.
- 36:31Speaker 4: I understand. It just feels like he just took off
- 36:33Speaker 4: a rubber glove and just went ahead and just kneeled
- 36:35Speaker 4: me right across the face with it, and and yeah haha,
- 36:39Speaker 4: but that's how I feel.
- 36:41Speaker 1: All right, Look, Michael, thanks for your call. I know
- 36:42Speaker 1: that you're in the dry cleaners right now. So those
- 36:45Speaker 1: people calling from all over the place. One eight hundred
- 36:47Speaker 1: and four four nine eight six eighty six. This is
- 36:49Speaker 1: Russ on the Phil Henry Show.
- 36:50Speaker 3: Hello, Yes, yes, sir.
- 36:52Speaker 9: I wandered to comment about this h individual about the
- 36:54Speaker 9: cell phone. I think somebody liked him is extremely combat
- 36:58Speaker 9: I his techniques are very combat. And I'll tell you what,
- 37:00Speaker 9: if you ever came up to me when I'm driving
- 37:02Speaker 9: and told me to put my cell phone down, he'd
- 37:03Speaker 9: get hurt.
- 37:04Speaker 4: No, hold on, see you over you are you? Are
- 37:06Speaker 4: you overreacting? We put a sign, We put up a
- 37:09Speaker 4: sign in the window.
- 37:10Speaker 9: You're stepping over the line and the window technique. Your
- 37:13Speaker 9: technique is here, I say, But I don't.
- 37:16Speaker 4: Get anybody and tell him to put the phone down.
- 37:18Speaker 4: We put a sign up in the window that says
- 37:19Speaker 4: hang it up.
- 37:21Speaker 9: I heard I heard earlier that you would go in
- 37:23Speaker 9: and then I guess tap their phone.
- 37:24Speaker 4: And no, no, no, no, no, no, I don't think
- 37:27Speaker 4: you are. What we do is we do have phone
- 37:29Speaker 4: monitoring equipment, and we put up a sign and the
- 37:31Speaker 4: winner says hang it up. First of all, this is
- 37:32Speaker 4: done in a car.
- 37:33Speaker 3: Phil, all right, so you guys are mobile.
- 37:35Speaker 5: We're mobile.
- 37:36Speaker 4: We see this guy, what's your name, Russ? We see
- 37:38Speaker 4: Russ on the phone I'll put a sign up and
- 37:39Speaker 4: the Winniss hang it up. If Russ looks over at
- 37:42Speaker 4: me and stays on the phone, then maybe we can
- 37:44Speaker 4: tap into that conversation he's having.
- 37:46Speaker 9: And I'll tell you it's a little juicy sales and
- 37:49Speaker 9: I and I have to use a cell phone. And
- 37:50Speaker 9: I'm telling you it's somebody that you came up to
- 37:52Speaker 9: me and pulled.
- 37:53Speaker 4: That's my father was in sales.
- 37:54Speaker 5: You get hurt.
- 37:55Speaker 4: My father was My father was in sales and he
- 37:58Speaker 4: didn't need a cell phone.
- 38:00Speaker 9: What did he sell toilet cleaners?
- 38:02Speaker 4: Well, this is fact.
- 38:03Speaker 9: They something completely different.
- 38:04Speaker 6: Very and I have to have a phone.
- 38:08Speaker 9: And I'm telling you if somebody like you tried to interrupt.
- 38:10Speaker 4: Your minding car, we're monitoring your car. Right you get hurt,
- 38:13Speaker 4: You're we're monitoring your car right now?
- 38:15Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 38:15Speaker 4: Good for you. Yeah, So what do you think of that?
- 38:18Speaker 6: I really don't care you.
- 38:20Speaker 4: Get hurt. Well, I'm monitoring your car right now. What
- 38:22Speaker 4: you can do about it?
- 38:23Speaker 1: All right, gentlemen?
- 38:24Speaker 4: No, no, no, he started it. I'm monitoring your car
- 38:26Speaker 4: right now. What you can do about it?
- 38:27Speaker 6: You know, I don't really don't care if you're call
- 38:29Speaker 6: im talk.
- 38:30Speaker 9: About the fact that what you're doing trying to get
- 38:32Speaker 9: people to stop using your cell phones when they need them.
- 38:34Speaker 9: You know, I admit there's some people out there that
- 38:36Speaker 9: maybe you're not as coordinated and shouldn't be using a phone.
- 38:39Speaker 6: How do I How do I know everybody?
- 38:40Speaker 4: How do I know you are? Let's talk about you.
- 38:42Speaker 4: Could you drive with one hand? I can drive with
- 38:45Speaker 4: zero you can drive with zero hands? What do you
- 38:48Speaker 4: drive with?
- 38:51Speaker 9: I drive with a hand? What's your point?
- 38:53Speaker 4: Where's your other hand?
- 38:55Speaker 3: It's on his phone? Okay, all right?
- 38:57Speaker 6: Yeah, I say it's on my phone.
- 38:58Speaker 4: You know that's what's also be good question.
- 39:04Speaker 9: So what's your point? You're trying to make a point.
- 39:05Speaker 5: Make it.
- 39:06Speaker 4: I just made my point.
- 39:07Speaker 9: No, you didn't make a point.
- 39:08Speaker 4: Yeah, I believe I did. I don't think you're listening.
- 39:11Speaker 9: You didn't make it.
- 39:11Speaker 4: Got one hand on the wheel, one hand on the phone.
- 39:13Speaker 4: Where's your other hand?
- 39:15Speaker 9: One handful of the steering wheel, one hand on the phone.
- 39:16Speaker 9: What is your point?
- 39:17Speaker 4: Where's your other hand?
- 39:19Speaker 3: What do you mean where's his other hand?
- 39:21Speaker 5: You said?
- 39:22Speaker 3: Are?
- 39:22Speaker 5: You said?
- 39:24Speaker 3: One hand on the wheel, one on the phone. What
- 39:26Speaker 3: do you mean where's his other hand?
- 39:30Speaker 7: Oh?
- 39:30Speaker 3: Man?
- 39:30Speaker 4: All right, gentlemen, you want to know. You guys want
- 39:32Speaker 4: to make a lamp.
- 39:33Speaker 6: Now, you guys, you guys want to make if.
- 39:35Speaker 4: You have abdine, you want to make a joke and
- 39:38Speaker 4: it's it's inappropriate and it's just it's just line. Yeah,
- 39:41Speaker 4: you want to make a joke about this, people will die,
- 39:43Speaker 4: Russ and you'll probably you know, you kill a kid.
- 39:46Speaker 4: That's your It's on you.
- 39:48Speaker 3: One hand on the wheel, one hand on the phone.
- 39:53Speaker 4: I don't I just wonder where the other hand is.
- 39:55Speaker 3: What other hand has he got three hands?
- 39:58Speaker 4: Everybody has two hands.
- 40:00Speaker 3: One hand on the wheel, that's one.
- 40:04Speaker 4: You there, all right here, Phil, I don't need to
- 40:05Speaker 4: be yelled at.
- 40:06Speaker 3: Okay, one hand on the wheel, that's one.
- 40:09Speaker 1: One hand on the phone, that's one. That's two.
- 40:13Speaker 4: Now you said one hand on the.
- 40:14Speaker 1: One plus one equals too. Where's your other hand? Phil
- 40:19Speaker 1: Henry Show.
- 40:50Speaker 10: This is the Phil Henry Show with Jay Santos.
- 40:53Speaker 1: From the Citizens Auxiliary Police substation in Hawthorne, California, as
- 40:56Speaker 1: he talks to us about monitoring people on cell phones,
- 41:00Speaker 1: states taking measures to eliminate altogether people using cellular phones
- 41:04Speaker 1: in cars. And you are out on the highway with
- 41:08Speaker 1: the Citizens of AUXII police, basically letting people know they
- 41:10Speaker 1: ought to hang it up. You've got signs that say
- 41:12Speaker 1: hang it up. You've also said you're monitoring some of
- 41:15Speaker 1: those conversations or you're installing that kind of equipment.
- 41:18Speaker 3: And what about the headset?
- 41:20Speaker 1: What about the the non and non invasive, But what
- 41:23Speaker 1: about the seemingly safe use of the headsets?
- 41:26Speaker 4: Philly, you repeat that we had a call coming in.
- 41:29Speaker 3: What about the headsets?
- 41:32Speaker 4: Those headsets and clip on. That's correct, that are hands free,
- 41:35Speaker 4: That is correct, all right? Those headsets are for official
- 41:39Speaker 4: use only. Originally, when we saw people wearing those headsets,
- 41:42Speaker 4: they were dispatchers, generally people who worked in air traffic
- 41:45Speaker 4: control towers. The police use them. We have citizens ol
- 41:48Speaker 4: ZERI police use them. Somewhere along the line, the people
- 41:51Speaker 4: at McDonald's thought they had the right, and the people
- 41:54Speaker 4: Jack and Maawk's too had the right to utilize official equipment.
- 41:59Speaker 4: I don't know where that started, and certainly we are
- 42:01Speaker 4: looking into it. I know many state agencies are looking
- 42:03Speaker 4: into it.
- 42:05Speaker 1: But what do you mean McDonald's.
- 42:07Speaker 4: If you go to the drive through at McDonald sir,
- 42:10Speaker 4: you see the person who takes your money is wearing
- 42:12Speaker 4: an official dispatch headset. That is, we do not agree
- 42:17Speaker 4: with that, and we do not agree that people should
- 42:19Speaker 4: use those in their cars as for officially use only.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Well, I don't know. I mean a guy McDonald's is
- 42:26Speaker 1: using this, So we can take your change.
- 42:27Speaker 4: That is totally the use of law enforcement equipment.
- 42:33Speaker 1: Okay, one eight hundred and four four nine eighty six.
- 42:36Speaker 1: This is Fred on the Phil Henry Show.
- 42:38Speaker 5: Hello, Jay, why don't you get a real job and
- 42:41Speaker 5: keep your nose out of other people's business?
- 42:43Speaker 4: All right, listen, I'm not kept putting my nose in
- 42:45Speaker 4: any business that isn't already the providence of most states
- 42:48Speaker 4: who are considering this, what's the you know, what do
- 42:51Speaker 4: you do for it? You don't have to have me
- 42:52Speaker 4: tell you what are you gonna do? In the state
- 42:53Speaker 4: tells you like a highway patrol officer tells you you
- 42:56Speaker 4: got to stop using your cell phone.
- 42:58Speaker 5: Well, when it becomes allow, considerate them. But you don't
- 43:01Speaker 5: have the right to go out there and tell anybody
- 43:03Speaker 5: to do so.
- 43:04Speaker 4: If I pull up next to you in a citizen's
- 43:06Speaker 4: auxuri police suburban and I put a sign in the
- 43:09Speaker 4: window that says hang it up, what are you gonna do?
- 43:13Speaker 5: I'm certainly not gonna hang my phone up for you.
- 43:16Speaker 4: And if I start monitoring some of your conversation, it
- 43:19Speaker 4: gets a little juicy.
- 43:20Speaker 5: That's against the law. Well, I don't have juicy calls
- 43:23Speaker 5: on the phone line anyway.
- 43:25Speaker 4: You do not what?
- 43:26Speaker 5: I don't have juicy telephone calls anyway?
- 43:28Speaker 4: So you'd like all of us to believe is that correct?
- 43:30Speaker 4: You know what, when I was a young boy and
- 43:33Speaker 4: my father received a package with a.
- 43:35Speaker 5: Heard that garb But go tell us facts because we
- 43:38Speaker 5: could care less.
- 43:40Speaker 4: You call the trauma that I suffered as a child garbage.
- 43:43Speaker 4: How'd you like to get a package of eight by tens?
- 43:48Speaker 5: Maybe you should go out and sell them. You know you,
- 43:51Speaker 5: like all the rest of the bed waters in this country,
- 43:53Speaker 5: attempted to dead waters? What other people do?
- 43:55Speaker 4: Buddy, you get a package of eight by tens with
- 43:57Speaker 4: pictures of your wife? I don't think you'll find that.
- 44:00Speaker 1: Well, who's going to be taking.
- 44:01Speaker 5: Those who told you that headphones were law enforcement official equipment?
- 44:06Speaker 5: Who told you that? I'm sorry, I said, who told
- 44:10Speaker 5: you that headphones were law enforcement official?
- 44:13Speaker 4: And you're talking about the ones they use at McDonald's.
- 44:16Speaker 5: They have headsets for telephone cell phones now.
- 44:18Speaker 4: That is that, And I say that those should be
- 44:20Speaker 4: made illegal, yes sir, yes, sir.
- 44:22Speaker 1: And because my point is that those headsets could make
- 44:26Speaker 1: a person it could be safer for someone to drive being.
- 44:29Speaker 3: On the cell phone.
- 44:30Speaker 4: But they are not allowed to use those because those
- 44:32Speaker 4: are for air traffic control and police use only. And
- 44:36Speaker 4: you call me a bedwet or not that I'm out
- 44:37Speaker 4: there trying to save your life.
- 44:39Speaker 5: You're not. So I'm trying to save my life, but
- 44:41Speaker 5: I don't need you to save my life.
- 44:43Speaker 4: You go to McDonald's, you see a headset on and
- 44:46Speaker 4: you don't get confused.
- 44:47Speaker 5: Confused about what? I don't get confused.
- 44:52Speaker 4: Maybe you do. You know you're laughing a lot, Fred,
- 44:56Speaker 4: And I'm wondering why you laugh as a nervous laugh,
- 44:58Speaker 4: because you're a joke. I'm a joke trying to save live.
- 45:01Speaker 4: You are a joke trying to save lives. You go
- 45:04Speaker 4: to McDonald's, sir, and you see a girl taking your
- 45:07Speaker 4: money and she's wearing a headset, and you don't think
- 45:09Speaker 4: you're talking to a highway patrol officer. Steel, I got
- 45:15Speaker 4: to lay off the cigarettes.
- 45:16Speaker 3: I know it's James. You're on a Phil Henry show.
- 45:18Speaker 5: Hello, Hi, This guy.
- 45:21Speaker 9: Really intrigues me.
- 45:23Speaker 1: You know.
- 45:23Speaker 11: It's interesting, Officer Brigadier General whatever that.
- 45:26Speaker 4: James, when you go to McDonald's and they wear the headset,
- 45:29Speaker 4: that doesn't remind you of the police dispatch, not at all.
- 45:32Speaker 11: Because any type of uh AfOR that never thought me
- 45:36Speaker 11: has never had one of those odds.
- 45:37Speaker 4: No, but the police dispatch officers you've seen in the TV.
- 45:41Speaker 11: Think that's TV.
- 45:42Speaker 5: That's TV.
- 45:43Speaker 11: You get out of the make believe world. You know
- 45:46Speaker 11: how many secretaries use.
- 45:47Speaker 6: That to answer the phone.
- 45:48Speaker 4: How many people, let me ask them, how many people
- 45:50Speaker 4: who work to drive through McDonald's are talking down a
- 45:52Speaker 4: burning plane or requesting extra cheese on a quarter pounders?
- 45:56Speaker 11: Okay, what difference does that make?
- 45:57Speaker 1: This?
- 45:58Speaker 11: That actual headset self on is for safety reason?
- 46:02Speaker 4: That is correct?
- 46:02Speaker 11: But okay, well then that's.
- 46:04Speaker 4: The way they show a be it's too official looking.
- 46:07Speaker 11: First of all, you know what, I've been listening to
- 46:09Speaker 11: you for about the half past twenty minutes or a
- 46:12Speaker 11: half hour.
- 46:12Speaker 4: It's correct, you really according to OCO.
- 46:16Speaker 11: I can understand you've been traumatized by these pictures, but
- 46:19Speaker 11: you're trying to make every tick, every conversation by a
- 46:23Speaker 11: woman on a phone like their marriage is in problem.
- 46:27Speaker 11: You know what, maybe your parents had a problem, and
- 46:30Speaker 11: you know that's for you to deal with. It's not
- 46:32Speaker 11: for you to try and enforce your non authority on everybody.
- 46:38Speaker 4: Well, James, the morning's what you're doing the morning ever
- 46:40Speaker 4: arrives in your house when you get a Manila envelope
- 46:43Speaker 4: dropped at your front door, and you pull from that
- 46:46Speaker 4: Malilla envelope four or five black and white glossy photographs
- 46:50Speaker 4: of your wife on her hands and knees. You know what?
- 46:55Speaker 11: Those are your personal issues you and that.
- 46:57Speaker 4: Isn't a guardian angel standing behind her. Other drivers may
- 47:00Speaker 4: see you using a headset and misconstrue you as a
- 47:02Speaker 4: law enforcement officer. What would you use your person deal
- 47:06Speaker 4: with if you're wearing.
- 47:07Speaker 11: A head you would be problems with that trying to
- 47:10Speaker 11: push that on everybody in this country, James.
- 47:12Speaker 4: If you're wearing a headset and someone confuses you for
- 47:15Speaker 4: a law enforcement officer, there may be a hostage situation.
- 47:19Speaker 4: A child may be rescuing. They see you wearing a
- 47:21Speaker 4: headset as you drive down the street. They ask for
- 47:24Speaker 4: your assistance in retrieving a hostage. You could be put
- 47:28Speaker 4: in peril.
- 47:29Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Wait a second.
- 47:32Speaker 4: You know, I don't care.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Wait a second. This guy's driving down the street wearing
- 47:37Speaker 1: a headset and suddenly suddenly wants some to negotiate a
- 47:40Speaker 1: hostage release.
- 47:41Speaker 4: I'm just saying it's possible.
- 47:43Speaker 1: And it's that you got to be a complete and
- 47:45Speaker 1: utter idiot to think that a guy wearing a headset
- 47:47Speaker 1: at McDonald's taking your change should be talking down a
- 47:50Speaker 1: burning plane.
- 47:52Speaker 4: I've seen a lot of worse mistakes, man, I can
- 47:53Speaker 4: tell you that, so Jay.
- 47:55Speaker 1: Santas and the citizens auxiliary police, and at least New
- 47:59Speaker 1: York is considered out lawing. And I saw a thing
- 48:01Speaker 1: on television last night where a car was like mangled
- 48:05Speaker 1: and a little girl was killed as the result.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Some people say of cell phone use.
- 48:11Speaker 4: And now it's not some people say somebody, I mean
- 48:14Speaker 4: a lot of people say that.
- 48:15Speaker 1: Well, a lot of people may be saying about I
- 48:16Speaker 1: don't hear a lot of people saying and all these
- 48:18Speaker 1: women are on their cell phone trying to save their
- 48:19Speaker 1: failing marriages, and something about eight by tens that your
- 48:24Speaker 1: father got black and whites, and a guy wearing a
- 48:27Speaker 1: headset that ought to be worn by a police dispatcher,
- 48:29Speaker 1: and somebody thinks he's a cop and wants him to
- 48:31Speaker 1: rescue a kid from a burning building. All of this
- 48:33Speaker 1: stuff is way out there, man, and I hope you
- 48:36Speaker 1: understand that.
- 48:37Speaker 4: That's right. I think you're the one that's trying to
- 48:38Speaker 4: understand we're up against law enforcement.
- 48:41Speaker 3: You want to say that in English?
- 48:42Speaker 4: Now, I said, I think you're You're very rude, sir.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Just say it in English.
- 48:46Speaker 4: Okay, you're the one that understands what we're up against
- 48:49Speaker 4: in law enforcement.
- 48:51Speaker 3: Thank you said, I understand.
- 48:52Speaker 4: I meant you don't understand.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Okay. Here is Kim on The Phil Henry Show. Hello Kim, Hello, Hello,
- 49:00Speaker 1: Just go ahead.
- 49:01Speaker 12: I think you're an absolute joke. I'm a woman business
- 49:05Speaker 12: owner and I use my cell phone so that I
- 49:08Speaker 12: continue to be a working mom and take my kids
- 49:11Speaker 12: to school and conduct business at the same time. Not
- 49:15Speaker 12: need a cell phone to be able to save my marriage.
- 49:18Speaker 12: My marriage is fine.
- 49:20Speaker 6: And your issue with your father.
- 49:23Speaker 12: Receiving photos, that's nothing related to a cell phone. Cell
- 49:27Speaker 12: phones weren't even around.
- 49:29Speaker 6: At the time.
- 49:29Speaker 4: But I ask you a question, ma'am, what business what
- 49:32Speaker 4: business are you conducting on a cell phone that is
- 49:34Speaker 4: so necessary that you imperil the lives.
- 49:36Speaker 6: Of other drivers around business.
- 49:39Speaker 4: That isn't my one million dollar business. That's your one
- 49:42Speaker 4: million dollar business. My fav's bringing the guy you kill
- 49:47Speaker 4: and ma'am, the man that you kill on the freeway.
- 49:52Speaker 4: We got your one million dollars mom? All right? Man,
- 49:55Speaker 4: can I say something? Your one million dollar business isn't
- 49:58Speaker 4: the man who you kill on the freeway? That isn't
- 50:01Speaker 4: his business? Or the child you kill that is their business?
- 50:04Speaker 5: Oh?
- 50:04Speaker 4: Sure, yeah, you wouldn't kill anybody.
- 50:08Speaker 6: Issue is is that I am more careful and we're
- 50:12Speaker 6: gonna take your word for that?
- 50:14Speaker 12: While I'm talking on the phone.
- 50:16Speaker 4: On the phone, let me ask them. Are we supposed
- 50:18Speaker 4: to take your word for that? Is that? It is
- 50:20Speaker 4: that we're gonna take Kim's word because she also one
- 50:22Speaker 4: million dollars? But is it a dry cleaning business or something.
- 50:25Speaker 12: You're a deferent man and you tend to save.
- 50:27Speaker 4: Lives, that's correct. You take my word to that.
- 50:30Speaker 6: You'd like me to take your word, then you're gonna
- 50:32Speaker 6: have to take mind.
- 50:33Speaker 4: You were the headset. You were in the headset?
- 50:35Speaker 12: What not everyone is about?
- 50:37Speaker 4: You wear in a headset?
- 50:38Speaker 6: You're driving me your issues?
- 50:40Speaker 5: Sir?
- 50:40Speaker 4: All right? I have an issue I understand my father
- 50:42Speaker 4: received five eight by ten glosses of my mother on
- 50:45Speaker 4: her hands, and we got that already.
- 50:47Speaker 1: Man, we understand.
- 50:47Speaker 11: That's all right.
- 50:50Speaker 4: I have an issue now, will you admit.
- 50:52Speaker 12: Emphasized with your situation?
- 50:54Speaker 4: Yes, man, that is correctthetic, all right, thank you is is? Yeah,
- 50:58Speaker 4: get over it. I need something out, all right. I
- 51:01Speaker 4: will get over that if you'll get over your failing
- 51:03Speaker 4: marriage and get off the phone.
- 51:05Speaker 6: Dear, My marriage does not.
- 51:07Speaker 12: My marriage couldn't be better the world of my husband, right, yeah, believe.
- 51:13Speaker 6: Me very well. Last night we don't have to worry
- 51:17Speaker 6: about sisters coming in.
- 51:19Speaker 4: That's people who have a fight always make love good
- 51:21Speaker 4: after the fight.
- 51:22Speaker 6: Dear. Yeah, then yea, not even okay?
- 51:26Speaker 3: Look how taking it all over the world forget it?
- 51:28Speaker 4: Would you like to know something, Kim, what we've been
- 51:31Speaker 4: monitoring this phone conversation all along?
- 51:33Speaker 7: Good?
- 51:35Speaker 4: Huh good, we've been monitoring what.
- 51:38Speaker 12: You don't know enough tectical issues to be monitoring that.
- 51:42Speaker 12: You have been monitoring anything all we have and.
- 51:45Speaker 4: I know everything you've said.
- 51:46Speaker 1: It may be called the state belief because you're talking
- 51:49Speaker 1: to you, you're talking to that so does.
- 51:53Speaker 13: So does what the man who's training.
- 51:56Speaker 6: Everybody knows what I do. They don't have listen to
- 52:00Speaker 6: the radio station now and you like to be coffee
- 52:03Speaker 6: because they don't have.
- 52:04Speaker 12: My connected to myself and I could be mind train you.
- 52:08Speaker 4: They don't have our monitoring equipment.
- 52:10Speaker 3: They were listening on the radio.
- 52:11Speaker 6: Oh yeah, and you developed it in your garage.
- 52:14Speaker 4: That's right, developed my garage. It's you know something I
- 52:18Speaker 4: said you are I think, I think you're in. I
- 52:21Speaker 4: think you're an emasculating female, and I think you do
- 52:23Speaker 4: have problems and you turn up to me is actually
- 52:26Speaker 4: like a drawn out.
- 52:31Speaker 13: I can't hear you, bunny. State are broken. I do
- 52:34Speaker 13: ultimized organization swings into action, which it may be called
- 52:38Speaker 13: the state police, state troopers, militia arrangers are.
- 52:42Speaker 4: The citizen's auxiliary police.
- 52:44Speaker 13: These are the stories I said, I've enforced and preserved
- 52:49Speaker 13: our state laws.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Shut up. Well, there is one from the archives from
- 53:05Speaker 1: Jay Sanders and the citizens Auxiliary Police. As Jay is
- 53:08Speaker 1: monitoring your phone calls out there, and if you're wearing
- 53:11Speaker 1: a headset, you look like you worked for the highway patrol.
- 53:14Speaker 1: You guys at McDonald's, you know we're talking about you. Yeah,
- 53:20Speaker 1: we're famous. Phil every show executive produced by me Phil
