- 0:00SPEAKER_03: Schools hide gender transitions,
- 0:02SPEAKER_03: surveys,
- 0:03SPEAKER_03: political indoctrination,
- 0:05SPEAKER_03: and locker room exposure from parents.
- 0:07SPEAKER_03: So what else could they be hiding?
- 0:09SPEAKER_03: Schools commonly misapply privacy laws,
- 0:12SPEAKER_03: like FERPA,
- 0:13SPEAKER_03: to keep gender transition records from parents.
- 0:17SPEAKER_03: By the same reasoning, could they be doing this with abortion too?
- 0:21SPEAKER_03: How do changes to abortion law impact our kids?
- 0:24SPEAKER_03: And what can we do about all this?
- 0:26We'll answer these questions and more here on the Myth of

- 1:15All views and opinions expressed by hosts and guests are their
- 1:19own and do not
- 1:19SPEAKER_03: reflect the views of any public or private person or entity.
- 1:24SPEAKER_03: All rights are reserved.
- 1:26SPEAKER_03: Post Roe versus Wade,
- 1:28SPEAKER_03: after that law was thrown out by the US Supreme Court,
- 1:33states across the country began passing new laws because the
- 1:38right to abortion or
- 1:42SPEAKER_03: the right to kill your unborn child was then delegated to the states.
- 1:47SPEAKER_03: And states like Arizona, which passed Proposition 139,
- 1:53gave more ability to be able to do that,
- 1:56whereas other states gave more restrictions.
- 2:00SPEAKER_03: We can take away some lessons from this.
- 2:02Most Arizonans,
- 2:03at least,
- 2:04seem to think that abortion should be legal,
- 2:06at least up to viability.
- 2:08Now,
- 2:09there's restrictions as a result of that that were already on
- 2:13the books.
- 2:15SPEAKER_03: that are now on the chopping block.
- 2:17SPEAKER_03: Because what that did here in Arizona is made this part of our state's
- 2:21SPEAKER_03: constitution,
- 2:22SPEAKER_03: the highest law of the land for our state,
- 2:24and so that any other restrictions that preceded this are now
- 2:28being fought in the
- 2:30SPEAKER_03: courts.
- 2:31SPEAKER_03: Now,
- 2:31SPEAKER_03: Tiffany,
- 2:32do you imagine with changes in the law granting this as a
- 2:37constitutional right here
- 2:40SPEAKER_03: in Arizona...
- 2:41SPEAKER_03: or in other states that give more access to abortion.
- 2:46Do you think that the schools might be influencing kids in any
- 2:51way on abortions?
- 2:53SPEAKER_03: Do you see this playing out in our schools at all?
- 2:57SPEAKER_01: I do.
- 2:58I do believe that they are influencing the children when it
- 3:02comes to abortion.
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: I believe it's being maybe concealed in different kinds of conversations,
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: whether it's a sex education and health class,
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: Or it could just be outright.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: I have heard of instances where counselors or teachers are taking it upon
- 3:17themselves to even drive students to Planned Parenthoods or
- 3:23abortion clinics when
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: the students are confiding in them about potentially being pregnant.
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: So, yeah, there's definitely a huge influence.
- 3:31And I think that people who don't care about human life are
- 3:35going to capitalize on
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: the law being changed.
- 3:38SPEAKER_03: And we've already seen that how the gender transition issue,
- 3:41SPEAKER_03: I know in my district down in the Tucson area,
- 3:44SPEAKER_03: and I've heard many other places as well,
- 3:47SPEAKER_03: they appeal to student privacy,
- 3:49SPEAKER_03: you know,
- 3:50on issues where a kid wouldn't feel comfortable going to their
- 3:53parents for whatever
- 3:53SPEAKER_03: reason,
- 3:55SPEAKER_03: that they encouraged to go to some trusted adult,
- 3:58SPEAKER_03: right?
- 3:59SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 3:59SPEAKER_03: There's three ways that I found that they can do that.
- 4:04SPEAKER_03: Number one,
- 4:04the school counselor or staff person or whoever this child goes
- 4:10to help the student
- 4:11SPEAKER_03: get an out-of-state abortion.
- 4:13SPEAKER_03: And for us, that means California or New Mexico.
- 4:16SPEAKER_03: Number two,
- 4:17SPEAKER_03: they can help the student get another exception,
- 4:20SPEAKER_03: such as a medical necessity or a pregnancy as a result of incest.
- 4:27And the third way they can do it is help the student get a
- 4:31judicial bypass.
- 4:33SPEAKER_03: And this judicial bypass is available in, I believe, 38 states.
- 4:38SPEAKER_03: So that's widely across the country.
- 4:40SPEAKER_03: Speaking for Arizona,
- 4:41if we have these two border states and it's a what a three hour
- 4:45drive from most of
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: the state to get to New Mexico,
- 4:50SPEAKER_03: three three hour drive to get to the border of California.
- 4:53SPEAKER_03: How do you think those states treat minor seeking abortions?
- 4:56SPEAKER_01: Well, California is a sanctuary state for all things lawless and evil.
- 5:01And so minors are going to be able to drive to these states and
- 5:08get what they've
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: been told is health care,
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: whereas we know that this is not health care.
- 5:14SPEAKER_01: It's not health care if somebody's dying as a result of the care.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: But I think that students are going to be able to go into these states.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: They're going to have complete cover.
- 5:23SPEAKER_01: They probably don't even have to give their real name,
- 5:26SPEAKER_01: their legal name,
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: and they can get the procedure that they need done and drive back home.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: And the parents may not ever know about it.
- 5:32SPEAKER_01: That's how dangerous something like Prop 139 is.
- 5:36SPEAKER_01: It gives a lot of freedom and leeway.
- 5:39SPEAKER_01: for children to be able to make these adult kind of decisions.
- 5:43SPEAKER_01: And at the end of the day, they're not really supported.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: A counselor that recommends an abortion to a vulnerable 15,
- 5:52SPEAKER_01: 16 year old girl,
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: that's not support.
- 5:55SPEAKER_03: That's evil.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: That's right.
- 5:56SPEAKER_03: That's not love.
- 5:58SPEAKER_03: And, you know, you're spot on with California and Mexico, how easy it is.
- 6:03And I did a little bit of digging in this to find out that
- 6:06California and New
- 6:07SPEAKER_03: Mexico have no parental notification at all.
- 6:10They're one of,
- 6:11I believe it's 12 states that don't require parental consent.
- 6:16SPEAKER_03: So they...
- 6:18SPEAKER_03: go there as a minor.
- 6:20And there's not only no mandatory reporting laws,
- 6:24but there's no parental notification either.
- 6:28SPEAKER_03: So it's probably the easiest way.
- 6:30SPEAKER_03: And I'll be honest with you, Tiffany, in preparing this process,
- 6:34SPEAKER_03: podcast topic,
- 6:35I was a little hesitant to be as blunt as I am because I don't
- 6:39want this news out
- 6:41SPEAKER_03: there in the wrong hands.
- 6:43SPEAKER_03: Some kid could think,
- 6:44SPEAKER_03: oh,
- 6:44SPEAKER_03: goodness,
- 6:44SPEAKER_03: wow,
- 6:44SPEAKER_03: that's all I have to do is drive right three hours away.
- 6:47But we got to get this information out to parents so that they
- 6:49know first,
- 6:50right?
- 6:51The second one is help the student get an abortion based on
- 6:55another statutory
- 6:57SPEAKER_03: exception,
- 6:58SPEAKER_03: and that is medical necessity or incest.
- 7:00And we have a similar problem in the in the text of Prop 139
- 7:06here in Arizona now in
- 7:08SPEAKER_03: the Constitution.
- 7:09SPEAKER_03: where it limits abortion to viability.
- 7:15So there's a constitutional right to abortion up to viability
- 7:18unless there is a
- 7:20SPEAKER_03: threat to the medical health or mental health of the mother.
- 7:25SPEAKER_03: Does that seem rock solid to you?
- 7:29SPEAKER_03: What is mental health exception when we're talking about
- 7:33And another way that a minor could get an abortion or someone
- 7:38could get around this
- 7:40SPEAKER_03: viability limitation in our constitution.
- 7:44SPEAKER_03: What do you think doctors can do with that mental health verbiage?
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: Well,
- 7:50SPEAKER_01: the first thing I want to address is the word viability,
- 7:53SPEAKER_01: which is totally,
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: it's just a stupid word to use.
- 7:57SPEAKER_01: A two-month-old baby is not viable.
- 7:59SPEAKER_01: You have to feed the baby, change the baby.
- 8:01SPEAKER_01: They're not really viable outside the womb.
- 8:02Yeah,
- 8:02they might be breathing on their own,
- 8:04but if you stop caring for them,
- 8:05they die.
- 8:06SPEAKER_01: So what do we mean by viability?
- 8:09SPEAKER_01: And then as far as the mental health exception goes,
- 8:12I think that this is going to be anybody that comes into a
- 8:14provider's office and
- 8:16SPEAKER_01: complains about depression,
- 8:19SPEAKER_01: anxiety,
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: being bullied,
- 8:22or just going through some sort of stress that they think
- 8:25terminating the kid is
- 8:26SPEAKER_01: going to eliminate.
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: And unfortunately,
- 8:29SPEAKER_01: because our medical community is so full of evil as well,
- 8:32they're going to just acquiesce to that and listen to what the
- 8:36child says.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: There's an issue with adults not taking control of the situation.
- 8:42SPEAKER_01: And I think that these providers as well, they want to make money.
- 8:46And so that young girl is going to have to drive three hours or
- 8:50wherever she's
- 8:50SPEAKER_01: going to find a physician that will do this.
- 8:53SPEAKER_01: But then she's also got to pay for it.
- 8:55SPEAKER_01: So the corruption doesn't end.
- 8:58SPEAKER_03: I'm with you on both counts.
- 9:00SPEAKER_03: Number one, the viability issue is is ridiculous.
- 9:05SPEAKER_03: The abortion argument is so weak that it's just so full of holes.
- 9:09SPEAKER_03: You can't put somebody,
- 9:10SPEAKER_03: whether it's an unborn child or an adult,
- 9:13in an environment that's not conducive to life and then say
- 9:16they're not viable.
- 9:17SPEAKER_03: That's just dumb.
- 9:18SPEAKER_03: And then with the mental health, yeah, I could see that being...
- 9:23and when it's a subjective emotional state of a person and all
- 9:27you need is a doctor
- 9:28SPEAKER_03: to write off and say this is affecting the mental health,
- 9:31SPEAKER_03: well,
- 9:31SPEAKER_03: then now you have all nine months of abortion legalized,
- 9:33SPEAKER_03: which is,
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: I think,
- 9:34SPEAKER_03: what we've got.
- 9:36SPEAKER_03: So this brings us to the third one.
- 9:38The judicial bypass abortion is not something that I think most
- 9:42people have heard about.
- 9:43SPEAKER_03: I know I hadn't heard about it,
- 9:46but in the wake of this new legislation with the constitutional
- 9:48amendment from Prop
- 9:50SPEAKER_03: 139,
- 9:51SPEAKER_03: My wife and I have both really been digging into this,
- 9:53and we found out that there's a process whereby a student or a
- 9:58child who is
- 10:00pregnant is able to get an abortion approved by the court
- 10:05without having to notify
- 10:07SPEAKER_03: their parents.
- 10:08SPEAKER_03: It's a way to circumvent Arizona's parental notification law.
- 10:13SPEAKER_01: I think in the situation of a kid that's emancipated,
- 10:16that they would be able to get an abortion without notifying
- 10:21any parental unit.
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: Basically,
- 10:23SPEAKER_01: the topic that you're introducing us to,
- 10:25these are kids that might still live at home and be in their
- 10:28parents' custody.
- 10:30SPEAKER_03: Right.
- 10:30SPEAKER_03: There's this emancipation process.
- 10:32SPEAKER_03: The child can be emancipated and make their own decisions.
- 10:35SPEAKER_03: But for some reason,
- 10:36SPEAKER_03: there's a special thing just for abortion,
- 10:38SPEAKER_03: for exactly to your point,
- 10:40SPEAKER_03: kids that are at home with their parents and don't want to tell them.
- 10:44SPEAKER_03: Now, I'll explain what I learned.
- 10:47SPEAKER_03: This came about in a post-Rowe case,
- 10:50SPEAKER_03: Baladi v.
- 10:51SPEAKER_03: Baird,
- 10:52SPEAKER_03: and we're going to put links on the show notes as usual.
- 10:56SPEAKER_03: And this actually required states...
- 10:59who have parental identification laws to have a judicial bypass
- 11:03process that
- 11:04parents can be left out if a judge determines one of the
- 11:08following two criteria.
- 11:10That the girl is mature enough and sufficiently well-informed
- 11:14to make the abortion
- 11:14SPEAKER_03: decision independently,
- 11:16SPEAKER_03: even if it's not in her best interest,
- 11:19SPEAKER_03: or that the abortion is in her best interest,
- 11:23Even if she isn't mature,
- 11:24it sounds ridiculous,
- 11:26but it's a judge making a decision.
- 11:29SPEAKER_03: And it could be either of these two things.
- 11:31Either she's mature enough in the judge's eyes or the abortion
- 11:35would be good for
- 11:35SPEAKER_03: her in the judge's eyes.
- 11:38SPEAKER_02: It gets worse because the judicial bypass is a secret process.
- 11:45There are records kept that are published by the State
- 11:51Department of Health,
- 11:52SPEAKER_03: and it tells you how many applied and how many were approved.
- 11:55SPEAKER_03: But that's it.
- 11:57So if my child or anybody's child went to this process and got
- 12:01the abortion
- 12:02SPEAKER_03: approved,
- 12:02SPEAKER_03: or even if they didn't get approved,
- 12:04SPEAKER_03: we would never hear about it.
- 12:05SPEAKER_03: They can even...
- 12:06SPEAKER_03: get a free attorney for this process.
- 12:09And there's outfits like Planned Parenthood and other
- 12:12pro-abortion outfits out
- 12:13SPEAKER_03: there who are advertising this to let the kids know about this.
- 12:17SPEAKER_03: So when they're Googling abortion, what do I do?
- 12:20SPEAKER_03: They find this information really quick.
- 12:22SPEAKER_03: It took me 49 years to find it,
- 12:25but it can be found pretty easily for somebody in a desperate
- 12:29situation like that.
- 12:30And one more thing before I get your thoughts on this,
- 12:32Stephanie,
- 12:33is I couldn't believe this.
- 12:35SPEAKER_03: The maturity alone is enough for a judge to decide this.
- 12:39SPEAKER_03: So if you train up your child right...
- 12:42SPEAKER_03: If you train them up in a way that they're really mature,
- 12:45SPEAKER_03: that they're knowledgeable,
- 12:47SPEAKER_03: and they can navigate this world,
- 12:49do you think they're going to be able to convince a judge that
- 12:52they're mature and
- 12:54SPEAKER_03: be able to hide this from you?
- 12:56SPEAKER_03: So if you are good about raising a strong-willed,
- 12:59SPEAKER_03: intelligent child,
- 13:00you are more likely never to hear about their abortion if they
- 13:04go through this
- 13:05SPEAKER_03: judicial bypass.
- 13:06SPEAKER_02: What do you think?
- 13:07SPEAKER_01: Well, I have so many thoughts.
- 13:08SPEAKER_01: Maybe I will offend some parents when I say this.
- 13:11SPEAKER_01: But if you're training up your child the right way,
- 13:14SPEAKER_01: then you're going to less likely have a teen pregnancy.
- 13:19SPEAKER_01: The key word there being train.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: And so if you've got a set of values,
- 13:24SPEAKER_01: let's say biblical values,
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: we talk a lot about that on this show,
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: then you're going to warn your child about parenting.
- 13:30SPEAKER_01: having sex at a young age.
- 13:32SPEAKER_01: But we do have to,
- 13:33SPEAKER_01: I guess,
- 13:33come to the defense of parents who are busy or who have a
- 13:37different set of values.
- 13:38SPEAKER_01: And then behind their back,
- 13:40the schools are coaching their kids to be more sexually active
- 13:43and giving them
- 13:43SPEAKER_01: those resources.
- 13:45But I do just want to point out something that you were saying
- 13:47about how these
- 13:48SPEAKER_01: parents won't be notified,
- 13:49SPEAKER_01: family won't be notified.
- 13:50SPEAKER_01: I think that secrecy adds to shame.
- 13:53I think that if a young woman gets pregnant and she's not
- 13:58married and this is not
- 13:59SPEAKER_01: even a person that she plans to be with or anything like that,
- 14:02SPEAKER_01: that is a tough situation.
- 14:03SPEAKER_01: It's a messed up situation.
- 14:05Unfortunately,
- 14:06the female is going to deal with consequences more so than the
- 14:09boy will.
- 14:10SPEAKER_01: And that's where abortion comes in.
- 14:11SPEAKER_01: It's being used as birth control.
- 14:14SPEAKER_01: But secrecy only adds to the shame.
- 14:16SPEAKER_01: It would be better to just celebrate life,
- 14:19SPEAKER_01: even though the child's not coming into the world the way that you want.
- 14:21It seems like a lot of these abortion laws and things that we
- 14:25have on the books,
- 14:26we're trying to play God and to determine that people can only
- 14:29come into the world
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: under a specific set of circumstances.
- 14:32SPEAKER_01: And I just I disagree with that.
- 14:33And I would hope that no young person that's listening to this
- 14:37would ever go that
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: direction and keep a secret like that.
- 14:40It's really hard to get into the mind of a 15-year-old girl
- 14:45because even those that
- 14:47SPEAKER_03: are trained right in the ways of the Lord and are intelligent may have,
- 14:56SPEAKER_03: I mean,
- 14:56SPEAKER_03: the brains aren't developed and they're still a kid.
- 14:59SPEAKER_03: And our kids screw up in the little things.
- 15:02SPEAKER_03: They can easily screw up in the big things.
- 15:04It's such a tragedy to wind up in that situation where they are
- 15:08faced with this
- 15:09SPEAKER_03: major idea and they're pulled in a million directions,
- 15:12which makes it all the more confusing to them when you have the
- 15:14parents wanting to
- 15:16support them and willing to walk them through this with the
- 15:19school pulling them in
- 15:20SPEAKER_03: a different direction and they're with them more...
- 15:22SPEAKER_03: of the day a lot of the times.
- 15:24SPEAKER_03: And I think this is why roughly 10% of all the abortions,
- 15:29SPEAKER_03: there was about 247 abortions last reported for kids under 18 in 2024.
- 15:35SPEAKER_03: And about 10% of those were through this judicial bypass.
- 15:39We'll never really know how it was done or if those numbers are
- 15:42accurate because
- 15:43SPEAKER_03: it's all secret.
- 15:44SPEAKER_03: Tiffany,
- 15:44did you know that there are actual pro-abortion outfits out
- 15:48there who are opposed
- 15:50SPEAKER_03: to this process of judicial bypass?
- 15:54SPEAKER_01: I did not know that.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: What's the catch?
- 15:57There should be no process between the child with the pregnancy
- 16:03and the abortion provider.
- 16:04SPEAKER_03: There should be an open door and they see the judicial bypass as a scary,
- 16:09SPEAKER_03: unnecessary barrier to them.
- 16:12SPEAKER_03: It should just be a revolving door.
- 16:14SPEAKER_03: Let's be able to just walk into the abortion clinic,
- 16:17SPEAKER_03: never telling your parents,
- 16:18SPEAKER_03: never having to deal with anything,
- 16:20SPEAKER_03: no obstruction at all.
- 16:22SPEAKER_03: And you can tell that's the spirit of the Prop 139 when you read it.
- 16:26SPEAKER_03: There should be no interference with the right to abortion.
- 16:30The American School Counselors Association calls judicial
- 16:33bypass drastic and abusive.
- 16:36The largest school counselor association in the United States
- 16:40wants to get rid of
- 16:42SPEAKER_03: judicial bypass.
- 16:43SPEAKER_03: And the reason is because it doesn't allow abortion enough.
- 16:48It's really tragic that a public school system would partner
- 16:55with something so
- 16:56barbaric that it just proves how far off the rails we've gone
- 17:00with government
- 17:01SPEAKER_01: education.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: And in the private lives of that pregnant teenager and her family,
- 17:07We can't always regulate that because people really do think
- 17:11that this is a viable
- 17:13SPEAKER_01: choice that they have to make.
- 17:15SPEAKER_01: And I know that morally,
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: us Christians,
- 17:17we're going to be on a different side of that argument because
- 17:20I think that if you
- 17:21SPEAKER_01: get pregnant,
- 17:22SPEAKER_01: you should have your kid.
- 17:23SPEAKER_01: If you get pregnant,
- 17:24it doesn't matter how old you are because there's somebody who
- 17:26will adopt the kid
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: if you don't want to keep it.
- 17:28But I think it's really sick and sad that a child can go to
- 17:32school and be counseled
- 17:34and coached into making a decision like this and then go all
- 17:39the way through a
- 17:41SPEAKER_01: judicial process and the parents never have a clue.
- 17:44SPEAKER_01: That just, man, I think that's an attack on parental rights big time.
- 17:49SPEAKER_01: Prop 139 was to repeal more parental rights.
- 17:53SPEAKER_03: Yes, and Prop 139 does not exempt minors from that constitutional right.
- 18:02SPEAKER_03: It refers to just every individual, is the verbiage.
- 18:07SPEAKER_03: And just earlier this month, there was a case, Isaacson...
- 18:12versus Arizona in Maricopa County Superior Court that threw out
- 18:16a bunch of
- 18:17SPEAKER_03: different restrictions,
- 18:18SPEAKER_03: like requirement for an ultrasound,
- 18:21SPEAKER_03: two visits at a clinic.
- 18:23SPEAKER_03: The reason for termination is a disability.
- 18:26They threw all of those requirements or restrictions out,
- 18:30but they didn't touch parental rights.
- 18:34SPEAKER_03: They didn't touch parental notification.
- 18:36SPEAKER_03: So that could be considered a win, but it's also a warning, right?
- 18:41SPEAKER_03: If they're coming after the other restrictions,
- 18:45SPEAKER_03: do you think they're going to stop there,
- 18:46SPEAKER_03: Tiffany?
- 18:47SPEAKER_01: No.
- 18:49SPEAKER_01: The left has no self-control, no restraint.
- 18:52SPEAKER_03: And, you know, they could also say, you conservatives are blowing smoke.
- 18:57SPEAKER_03: You're saying,
- 18:58and this is school counselors and school staff are going to be
- 19:01walking kids to
- 19:02SPEAKER_03: abortion clinics when there's no evidence of that.
- 19:04SPEAKER_03: But we see in Washington in 2010,
- 19:07SPEAKER_03: and this was 16 years ago,
- 19:10SPEAKER_03: I'm sure that's happened since then,
- 19:12SPEAKER_03: a Seattle-based health center,
- 19:16SPEAKER_03: those are great,
- 19:17SPEAKER_03: involved staff referring a 15-year-old for an abortion and assisting with
- 19:22SPEAKER_03: transportation during school hours without notifying her parents.
- 19:26SPEAKER_03: And when the mother discovered it afterwards and expressed outrage,
- 19:30she realized no laws were violated and that school policy
- 19:33allows such referrals to
- 19:35SPEAKER_03: external providers like Planned Parenthood.
- 19:37SPEAKER_03: So apparently that was news to her.
- 19:39SPEAKER_03: And can you imagine learning that way?
- 19:42SPEAKER_01: Learning that way that your grandchild is gone forever.
- 19:46SPEAKER_03: Oh, horrible.
- 19:47SPEAKER_03: Just just a family tragedy.
- 19:50SPEAKER_03: I would think Arizona is pretty good for parental rights.
- 19:54I always like giving a little bit of props because if you
- 19:57compare it to other
- 19:58SPEAKER_03: states,
- 19:59SPEAKER_03: I think we've got a pretty good with what we have on the books.
- 20:02SPEAKER_03: It could be better, but it's not bad.
- 20:05SPEAKER_03: But yet we still have a problem.
- 20:09If a child goes to a school employee and says,
- 20:12I have a pregnancy,
- 20:14what do I do?
- 20:15SPEAKER_03: It could be a 12 year old, Tiffany.
- 20:18SPEAKER_03: And did you know that there's no state?
- 20:20I could be wrong about this,
- 20:21but I'm pretty sure I've done my research leading up to this.
- 20:24I could not find a law that shows that school is bound to
- 20:29mandatory report that to the parent.
- 20:33There is a law that they have to report that to law enforcement
- 20:37because it could be
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: statutory rape.
- 20:38SPEAKER_03: There could be sexual assault.
- 20:40SPEAKER_03: But there's no requirement to notify the parent.
- 20:44SPEAKER_01: Well,
- 20:44I think if there's no requirement on the books to notify
- 20:47parents in this situation,
- 20:49then I would have to push back on the props that you're giving
- 20:52to the state of
- 20:53SPEAKER_01: Arizona,
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: because that to me seems like it's a pretty important thing.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: To my knowledge, you still have to have parental consent.
- 21:00SPEAKER_01: If you're a 12 year old and you wanted to get a tattoo,
- 21:03I'm pretty sure your parents would have to sign off on that
- 21:06until we become really
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: lawless.
- 21:07SPEAKER_01: A 12 year old can't walk into a liquor store and buy alcohol.
- 21:10So to have an absence of parental notification for something as
- 21:15serious and life
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: altering as an abortion,
- 21:18SPEAKER_01: that to me is an affront to parental rights,
- 21:21SPEAKER_01: even up to and including the state of Arizona.
- 21:24SPEAKER_01: And in asking the question of, well, what can we do about it?
- 21:27SPEAKER_01: I think that we need to make sure that
- 21:29SPEAKER_01: That propositions like 139 can't continue to be passed.
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: We need people to engage from a moral perspective.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: Don't get caught up in the political aspect of it,
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: but morally and the fact that this is dangerous.
- 21:42SPEAKER_01: Abortions come with all sorts of physical consequences, sterilization.
- 21:47And these are things that are probably unintended by a 12,
- 21:5013,
- 21:5014,
- 21:5015 year old girl.
- 21:52SPEAKER_01: She doesn't know if 15 years from now she's going to want to have a kid,
- 21:56SPEAKER_01: but she went and got an abortion and the doctor sterilized her.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Those who are pro-abortion, they don't tell the full story.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: This doesn't really solve any issue.
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: It just makes you not pregnant anymore.
- 22:09SPEAKER_01: but it doesn't solve any other issue.
- 22:10SPEAKER_03: You mentioned earlier,
- 22:11SPEAKER_03: if I heard you right,
- 22:12that part of being a good active parent is to have these talks
- 22:17about sex and sexual
- 22:18SPEAKER_03: activity,
- 22:19SPEAKER_03: especially as a Christian and how we're called to live differently.
- 22:23Do you think being open and transparent would be a good thing
- 22:26to maybe even include
- 22:28what abortion is and how horrific it is and all the
- 22:32consequences that they may not
- 22:33SPEAKER_03: hear from abortion advocates?
- 22:37As long as it's age appropriate,
- 22:39nothing should be off the table between a parent and a child.
- 22:42SPEAKER_01: And when I say nothing, I mean nothing.
- 22:45You should be able at age appropriate,
- 22:46of course,
- 22:47you should be able to talk about sex.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: You should be able to talk about homosexuality,
- 22:51SPEAKER_01: abortion,
- 22:52SPEAKER_01: anything that could have a negative consequence.
- 22:57SPEAKER_01: on a child's life.
- 22:58SPEAKER_01: As far as Proverbs 22,
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: 6 goes,
- 23:00SPEAKER_01: training up a child in the way they should go,
- 23:02the expectation from God's perspective is that you're steering
- 23:06and guiding and
- 23:07SPEAKER_01: leading and correcting that child,
- 23:09SPEAKER_01: trying to guard their soul because you don't want them to perish.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: And being realistic, sex was God's idea.
- 23:16I don't know if people realize this or not,
- 23:20but he's the one that designed our sex organ.
- 23:23SPEAKER_01: An orgasm was God's idea.
- 23:25SPEAKER_01: That's the truth.
- 23:26SPEAKER_01: He designed a man and a woman that way.
- 23:28SPEAKER_01: And all his expectation and his rule is, is that you wait until marriage.
- 23:33SPEAKER_01: Obviously, like you said earlier, the kids do make mistakes.
- 23:36SPEAKER_01: Those things do happen.
- 23:38SPEAKER_01: If you do have sex and you do get pregnant, don't abort the child.
- 23:43The two wrongs don't make a right and the kid should not get
- 23:46the death penalty
- 23:48SPEAKER_01: because the parents made a messed up decision.
- 23:51Even in the case when incest or rape,
- 23:53because that's always thrown out there.
- 23:55SPEAKER_01: But I've also done my little bit of research.
- 23:57Rape and incest together don't even equal one and a half
- 24:01percent of all abortions.
- 24:02SPEAKER_01: So that is something that the left always tries to throw out there.
- 24:06But the thing is,
- 24:07is that the child should not be punished or killed because of
- 24:12that situation.
- 24:13SPEAKER_01: How someone is conceived, that means nothing in terms of intrinsic value.
- 24:17SPEAKER_01: All life has value and meaning.
- 24:19SPEAKER_03: Yeah, that's right.
- 24:20SPEAKER_03: I like where you're going with this,
- 24:22SPEAKER_03: and it's actually,
- 24:23SPEAKER_03: for a dark,
- 24:24SPEAKER_03: dark issue,
- 24:25SPEAKER_03: you kind of put a positive spin on it.
- 24:27SPEAKER_03: There's a lot that we want to control the narrative of.
- 24:30SPEAKER_03: We'd love to control the narrative in our state legislature, in the laws.
- 24:33SPEAKER_03: We'd love to be able to control the courts.
- 24:35SPEAKER_03: We'd love to be able to control the school boards.
- 24:38We'd love to be able to control the school administrators so
- 24:41that we can opt out of
- 24:42these discussions and keep our kids away from being compelled
- 24:45to abortions and
- 24:47SPEAKER_03: referred to abortion providers.
- 24:49But what we can control is the narrative in our own homes and
- 24:53how we are training
- 24:55SPEAKER_03: and raising our kids.
- 24:58SPEAKER_03: And it's hard, but it's the one area that we can actually control.
- 25:03SPEAKER_03: When we don't get that great conservative on the school board,
- 25:07we still can be in our home training up our kids and really be
- 25:11transparent about
- 25:13SPEAKER_03: what
- 25:13SPEAKER_03: The beauty God has made this gift of sex,
- 25:18SPEAKER_03: explaining it in an age-appropriate way,
- 25:21SPEAKER_03: and the tragedy of abortion and the consequences of it,
- 25:25SPEAKER_03: I think we can control that at home,
- 25:27SPEAKER_03: right?
- 25:28SPEAKER_03: Even if we can't control it in the town square.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah,
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: I would go as far as to say when you read passages like Proverbs 22,
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: 6,
- 25:36SPEAKER_01: the Lord expects parents to be in control of the situation.
- 25:40SPEAKER_01: There's no biblical reference,
- 25:42no passage where parents are allowed or told to abdicate their
- 25:46responsibilities to
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: government.
- 25:48SPEAKER_01: You're not going to find that anywhere in Scripture.
- 25:51God gives children to the parents,
- 25:53not to teachers,
- 25:54not counselors,
- 25:55not anyone else.
- 25:56So whether the child is yours biologically or you adopted them
- 26:00or you're a guardian
- 26:01SPEAKER_01: over them,
- 26:02SPEAKER_01: you're the person that's looking out for the well-being of the child.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: So we need parents to take control of their children's education.
