- 0:00Speaker 1: Cleaning out the sound fridge and more. It's one more thing.
- 0:04Speaker 2: I'm strong and getty few things before we get to
- 0:08Speaker 2: cleaning out the sound fridge that I wasn't able to
- 0:10Speaker 2: jam into the radio show. Metallica has announced they're going
- 0:14Speaker 2: to play the Las Vegas Sphere, which would be pretty cool.
- 0:19Speaker 2: I'll bet they come up with a great, uh visual package,
- 0:22Speaker 2: which is what the Sphere shows are all about. I've
- 0:25Speaker 2: been to the Sphere a couple of times and it
- 0:26Speaker 2: is spectacular.
- 0:30Speaker 3: Man.
- 0:30Speaker 4: I saw Metallica a couple of years ago and they
- 0:33Speaker 4: are just incredible on stage.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Yeah, the sphere experience is interesting for concerts because if
- 0:41Speaker 2: you want to enjoy the visual part, you actually want
- 0:43Speaker 2: to sit way far away from the stage. And if
- 0:46Speaker 2: you're way far away from the stage, at some point
- 0:48Speaker 2: it's like, why am I not just listening to this
- 0:51Speaker 2: on the stereo? But the visual part is so amazing?
- 0:55Speaker 1: Was it you were another friend who said that it
- 0:58Speaker 1: can be kind.
- 0:59Speaker 2: Of disorient Oh definitely. Yeah.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Yeah, you have to close your eyes sometimes.
- 1:03Speaker 2: I didn't have to do that, my kids did. But
- 1:05Speaker 2: it's it's super steep. You're way way up high and
- 1:08Speaker 2: it's super steep, and it looks like if you tumbled
- 1:11Speaker 2: out of your seat, you would fall to your death.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I not happening, No, But.
- 1:15Speaker 2: The visuals are just absolutely staking. Oh. The in the sound,
- 1:19Speaker 2: it's got I forget, what is one hundred and twenty
- 1:21Speaker 2: three thousand speakers or something like that. It's designed in
- 1:24Speaker 2: such a way that the sound is exactly the same
- 1:26Speaker 2: in the furthest away seat, from the best seat, which
- 1:29Speaker 2: I had for the Eagles. They all sound exactly the same.
- 1:33Speaker 2: And it's pretty cool.
- 1:34Speaker 1: That's a miracle of engineering that sounds really really cool.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Yeah, a couple other things.
- 1:40Speaker 1: Can you install, like one section that's relatively flat, sit
- 1:45Speaker 1: down low, the freaked out.
- 1:46Speaker 2: And it's just like a concert. And then you look
- 1:49Speaker 2: up and see the visuals. They're still cool, but not
- 1:52Speaker 2: quite the same as if you're sitting up way high.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Yeah, fair enough.
- 1:55Speaker 2: Survivor, the television show, is still on the air and
- 1:58Speaker 2: they open their fifty season tonight, fiftieth and mostly I
- 2:04Speaker 2: bring this up because Jeff Propsed is still the host.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I've never seen an episode of Survivor, and they do
- 2:11Speaker 2: several seasons per year. It hasn't been on for fifty years.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Wait, they did the first season, didn't you come on?
- 2:16Speaker 2: Did I with naked Richard? And that I watched it?
- 2:19Speaker 2: I think we played clips, but I don't know if
- 2:21Speaker 2: I ever watched it. Jeff propesed Man, did he fall
- 2:25Speaker 2: into a gig or what? Whoever the hell he was?
- 2:29Speaker 2: But isn't he the producer? Maybe I have knowing it.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I think he was the brains behind it. I could
- 2:35Speaker 1: be wrong with Yeah. I found it entertaining as hell,
- 2:37Speaker 1: like once or twice, then thought that's enough of that.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Young Boy Never Broke Again. That's NBC young boy. Is
- 2:47Speaker 2: is a rapper. That's the NBC stands for never Broke Again.
- 2:51Speaker 2: He's a big deal. I guess NBC, how is young b.
- 2:54Speaker 1: C Standford never Broke Again?
- 2:57Speaker 2: Or NBA? Am sorry? Why was I saying NBC? It's
- 3:00Speaker 2: NBA Young Boy, NBA young Boy? I'm sorry? I said
- 3:03Speaker 2: it makes sense now, and that makes sense now. He
- 3:07Speaker 2: is welcoming his thirteenth child at age twenty six. Thirteenth.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Oh for the love, thirteenth child. I can't even unless
- 3:17Speaker 2: your career continues to be successful, you're gonna have to
- 3:21Speaker 2: change your name from NBA to QBA quite broke Again
- 3:25Speaker 2: because thirteen kids is going to be very expensive. I'm
- 3:27Speaker 2: just saying.
- 3:27Speaker 1: And of course all those kids grow up without a
- 3:30Speaker 1: father active in their lives.
- 3:32Speaker 2: Probably, Yeah. And then I was just looking at a
- 3:35Speaker 2: series of jokes. Oh, this was some guy on Instagram
- 3:38Speaker 2: who's got a feed. It's pretty good. He just grabs
- 3:41Speaker 2: funny things off of posts and then puts them all
- 3:44Speaker 2: in a row. That's entertaining. But here's one of them
- 3:47Speaker 2: inside my stomach. There is a little duck who demands bread.
- 3:52Speaker 2: I can relate to that. I know me too. There's
- 3:55Speaker 2: a little duck in there. It really wants bread. That's
- 3:57Speaker 2: a cute way to put it.
- 3:58Speaker 1: Yes, all right, So the sound fridge, we've got a
- 4:04Speaker 1: handful of audio.
- 4:04Speaker 2: That's really Goodridge.
- 4:07Speaker 1: That's Metallica right there. That guy, that's right. They are
- 4:10Speaker 1: gonna that's their opening song. So we're going to clean
- 4:14Speaker 1: out the sound fridge and play some of it. Let's
- 4:16Speaker 1: start with number ten. Does this need any setup?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Michael h sid Los Angeles food delivery service, and the
- 4:22Speaker 2: robots are called cocos. I believe you.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Cocos have been relentless. I heard a commotion, I came
- 4:30Speaker 3: out here. I found the cocoa in my garden. It
- 4:32Speaker 3: had got my fence caught up in its wheel. It
- 4:35Speaker 3: like uprooted a whole bunch of plants in my garden
- 4:38Speaker 3: and then just drove away with the fence attached to it.
- 4:42Speaker 3: I chased after it, and I looked like a total
- 4:44Speaker 3: crazy person, like running after a robot in the middle
- 4:47Speaker 3: of the street, like yelling after it. I was like
- 4:50Speaker 3: trying to block it, like getting its way, and it
- 4:52Speaker 3: was trying to go around me. These private companies can
- 4:55Speaker 3: come in and like dump their technology in our communities
- 5:00Speaker 3: and there's no sense of accountability.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Why were you trying to block the robot and chase
- 5:06Speaker 2: it and yell at.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It because she's an up speaker, it had her fence
- 5:11Speaker 1: in her its clutches.
- 5:14Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 5:15Speaker 1: I read a piece it might have been in the
- 5:17Speaker 1: journal about how in some markets, like Austin maybe one
- 5:21Speaker 1: of them, the airborne delivery drones are a thing. They're
- 5:26Speaker 1: using them full speed ahead.
- 5:27Speaker 2: I do not understand how that can possibly work.
- 5:32Speaker 4: I can't remember if it was DoorDash or what. But
- 5:35Speaker 4: when they tried this in San Francisco with the food
- 5:39Speaker 4: delivery robots and all the homeless people kept getting a
- 5:42Speaker 4: hold of them and beating the just crap out of
- 5:45Speaker 4: them and sitting on them and they stopped.
- 5:47Speaker 2: Or just grab the burrito out of its little metal claws.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Well, that's why you use an airborne drone. It just
- 5:53Speaker 1: descends with the pizza to your front porch.
- 5:56Speaker 2: That's cool, pick it up. And I was in La
- 5:58Speaker 2: I saw on R two D.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I said, your food gets there much quicker and much
- 6:02Speaker 1: hotter than like a door dash can possibly do?
- 6:05Speaker 2: The flying thing? Oh, I don't doubt it. I just
- 6:06Speaker 2: don't understand how you're going to have a whole bunch
- 6:09Speaker 2: of companies navigating that without crashing into each other. If
- 6:12Speaker 2: you're the first company in, I can see how it
- 6:15Speaker 2: might work. But are you going to get the rights
- 6:19Speaker 2: to all the airspace for all of time? I don't
- 6:21Speaker 2: know how that will work. They roll the dice. It's
- 6:23Speaker 2: more exciting. I saw an r T T R two
- 6:26Speaker 2: D two in l A going down the street with
- 6:29Speaker 2: some food and I don't know how successful it was,
- 6:31Speaker 2: but it looked like it was really having trouble navigating
- 6:33Speaker 2: the cracks and the sidewalk.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And did it run out of your fence and it
- 6:37Speaker 1: knock it down?
- 6:38Speaker 4: And then you had to.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That's hot, and that's how eleven just because I want
- 6:47Speaker 1: to hear it again because my daughter has two cats
- 6:49Speaker 1: and their brothers. I want to know if my cat's
- 6:53Speaker 1: a game, if they are brothers.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I wanna know if.
- 6:57Speaker 5: They love each other.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Fare do I help cats?
- 7:04Speaker 1: One of my cats are gay gay cats there, that's okay,
- 7:13Speaker 1: gay cat.
- 7:17Speaker 5: Cats.
- 7:18Speaker 2: So is that a dude in a chick or is
- 7:19Speaker 2: that a.
- 7:21Speaker 1: It sounded human to me.
- 7:23Speaker 2: It sounds human to me too. It was just flawed enough,
- 7:26Speaker 2: which is kind of interesting in its own way. Why
- 7:28Speaker 2: does that sound like humans as opposed to a I
- 7:30Speaker 2: I'm not exactly sure, but it did sound like humans.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Anton, I have sized for the bleep, but Joe I
- 7:36Speaker 4: have ever since the One More Thing podcast from years
- 7:39Speaker 4: ago forever called cat post ship Mittens.
- 7:45Speaker 1: That's another my daughter, Delaney is because of the tray
- 7:51Speaker 1: that they use in your house, the litter box.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Yeah, running your around your house with their little ship mittens.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Oh boy, walking across your table and your keyboard.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Golly oh, your counter just keep going true, just terrible,
- 8:08Speaker 1: it's so good.
- 8:10Speaker 2: Well, and then you know, and it's one hundred percent accurate.
- 8:12Speaker 2: Why do we put up with it?
- 8:14Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 8:14Speaker 2: They walk all over everything.
- 8:16Speaker 1: With everybody's fine, except occasionally pregnant ladies.
- 8:22Speaker 3: Beware.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Uh look it up, Ah moving along clip twenty five Fleas.
- 8:27Speaker 2: And Ohio a while discovery caught on camera.
- 8:29Speaker 6: Dash Cam video from police shows a sanitation worker emptying
- 8:33Speaker 6: trash into a truck when he startled to find a
- 8:35Speaker 6: man hiding in the bin. The worker jumps and points
- 8:38Speaker 6: to the police car behind him as the man climbs
- 8:41Speaker 6: out and flees. Police say the suspect had just fled
- 8:43Speaker 6: a traffic stop.
- 8:46Speaker 1: Our network news is now dash cam videos.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah every night, I'm David Muir, and wait till you
- 8:54Speaker 2: see what happened with it? And it's just yeah, it's
- 8:57Speaker 2: just a YouTube video of the day.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Yeah, and then weather speaking of people and garbage cans.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Twenty seven.
- 9:12Speaker 5: A video out of Paris, Texas going viral after a
- 9:15Speaker 5: waburger manager used a trash can to take down an
- 9:18Speaker 5: angry customer on Sunday. Police say the manager asked that
- 9:22Speaker 5: angry customer to leave after he became verbally abusive and
- 9:25Speaker 5: made threats to the staff. Investigators say the customer left,
- 9:28Speaker 5: but then came back and punched the manager. The manager
- 9:32Speaker 5: was able to force him out of the store. Eventually,
- 9:35Speaker 5: that customer was arrested and charged with assault and public intoxication.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Good and if anybody comes after that restaurant manager sues him. Whatever,
- 9:44Speaker 1: I sweared a good eye or a faft fo buddy.
- 9:48Speaker 2: Huh Yeah.
- 9:48Speaker 4: Every single one of those thuds you heard at the
- 9:50Speaker 4: beginning was the trash can hitting that guy over the head.
- 9:53Speaker 2: Perfect awesome. People that lose it at fast food places.
- 9:58Speaker 2: That's got to be its own special category of what
- 10:00Speaker 2: the hell is wrong with you? It is. There are
- 10:02Speaker 2: compilations on YouTube. They're hilarious.
- 10:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, they shouldn't be on the network news.
- 10:08Speaker 1: I watch them in my own time, but nobody can
- 10:11Speaker 1: see me doing it, because really they're super entertaining, and
- 10:15Speaker 1: I usually fast forward to them on the network. I
- 10:20Speaker 1: hate them, They're stupid, and I watched them.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Well, I'm getting some little shoes from my cats. Well,
- 10:29Speaker 2: I guess that's it.
