- 0:38[SPEAKER_01]: You're doing everybody.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: Rockin' that ring.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_01]: I love it, man.
- 0:41[SPEAKER_02]: I love it.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: We're here with my lookin' out, by the way.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: Is that what?
- 0:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, let's go.
- 0:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, man, you're so animated.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's such a great vibe.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm so happy you're here with us today.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_02]: Thank you for having me.
- 0:52[SPEAKER_02]: So we're here, you know, the audience is here, like, checking out Malik Jackson's new venture.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 0:58[SPEAKER_02]: After Super Bowl 50 Championship, but before we dive into all that,
- 1:03[SPEAKER_01]: What's your morning routine?
- 1:04[SPEAKER_01]: My morning routine.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_01]: Well, guys say too, right?
- 1:07[SPEAKER_01]: I have a 10-year-old daughter.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_01]: And if I'm with her, we wake up about six.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_01]: I'll say I wake up at six.
- 1:14[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, watch my face brush my teeth.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_01]: Get her up, get her breakfast ready.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then my mom takes her to school or I'll take her to school.
- 1:22[SPEAKER_01]: And then go work out and start answering emails and calls.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_01]: But if I don't have her, she's with her mother, then what I'll do is wake up still about six.
- 1:29[SPEAKER_01]: Go work out 730 to 830.
- 1:31[SPEAKER_02]: go home and so emails are called so that's it yeah that's I mean Super Bowl champ life and I was like what was your morning routine when you rock the suit like what's it like right before Super Bowl
- 1:43[SPEAKER_02]: the like of the game.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_01]: The morning of the Super Bowl, I mean, yeah, wake up, brush your teeth, wash your face, maybe throw up once your twice because you're just nervous that day.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_01]: And just sit around, hurry up and wait to the game.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_01]: You know, it's not much you can do.
- 1:58[SPEAKER_01]: You go eat breakfast.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: You have your meetings, right?
- 2:00[SPEAKER_01]: But for the most part, you just in your head and just playing a game over and over and talking success in your mind and going out there
- 2:11[SPEAKER_02]: Man, I can't imagine the pressure, like, just to have the entire country just all eyes on you, unobstructed, you know?
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: It's beautiful, but as you know, we played Super Bowl 48 against the Seahawks in New York.
- 2:20[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was a terrible day.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_01]: So, that team we had a lot of the same guys, so we were able to really, like, harness that and understand what it means to get an opportunity like this to live forever and how short and how far and few between they come.
- 2:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so, I think having that knowledge really helped us.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's what really put us over the top to be Carolina that day.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_01]: As that way, they were a really good team.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_02]: I mean that was an amazing game let me ask you after the lights after the fame after all that notoriety like what's life like in that transitional phase from being Super Bowl champion elite athlete to just like now you're back in the grind.
- 2:56[SPEAKER_01]: Just a guy, and you're just a guy.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_01]: It's tough, right?
- 2:59[SPEAKER_01]: I tell people, first people are like, I'm like, what was retirement like?
- 3:01[SPEAKER_01]: What'd you do first?
- 3:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I say, I live like Peppermint Pew for like a year and a half, having a good time, you know, I'm single.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_01]: So I did that, and then you sit down and realize, you know, the cheers are gone.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_01]: There's nobody there to help you.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_01]: My agent acts me to pay in my last invoice.
- 3:14[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, yeah, I got you, man.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: I hate on people, right?
- 3:16[SPEAKER_01]: The land is always pays as debt.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'm not going to pay for that.
- 3:18[SPEAKER_01]: Pay the debt and have it hurt from him in four years, right?
- 3:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so you realize that you're really on your own.
- 3:23[SPEAKER_01]: The team leaves you.
- 3:25[SPEAKER_01]: That means there's no camaraderie.
- 3:26[SPEAKER_01]: There's no training room for your access for your health care.
- 3:30[SPEAKER_01]: And there's no agent to really guide you in the next stage of life.
- 3:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so we'll get them more essentially why I created what I created.
- 3:36[SPEAKER_01]: But it's a lonely time, man.
- 3:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I don't think people really understand the hardships that the athlete goes to, right?
- 3:43[SPEAKER_01]: Because when you're the guy, right?
- 3:44[SPEAKER_01]: Joseph is the guy.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_01]: He's the one that everybody loves them.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_01]: And then you retire and not come in.
- 3:48[SPEAKER_01]: Everybody's like, oh, I'm a leeks to guy.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, I forget no, so they don't matter.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 3:51[SPEAKER_01]: So it's one of those things that's tough to handle sometimes.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_01]: And especially, I tell people, it doesn't matter if you decide to retire like myself or you got kicked out and nobody's picking up the phone to call you anymore.
- 4:04[SPEAKER_01]: It's still tough, so yeah.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know, we were just talking, you're now the fourth Super Bowl champ we've had on this show.
- 4:12[SPEAKER_02]: And there's a lot of, and I was telling you, and it's really, really breaks my heart to see when you see a Super Bowl ring at like a punch-off.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, or something.
- 4:21[SPEAKER_02]: You hear those stories.
- 4:24[SPEAKER_02]: There's really only two ways that transition hits you.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_02]: You either take it and you run with that same level of grit and mindset that you had when you played a game every single day and that's what Marshall Fock did really really well.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_02]: He's like listen.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: Superbowl didn't end for me.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_02]: Football didn't have like I grind grinds every single day same with Chris Heather They're the same with the team of god these guys are Ultra grinders and I feel like I attract those Entrepreneur grinding Superbowl champs To this show because it kind of like we're all kind of in the same network at this point.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yep, or you go the at the opposite direction which is
- 5:02[SPEAKER_02]: you get into your head, you fall into depression, then you fall into drugs, then you fall into like, then boom, now you're suicidal.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_02]: And it's something that breaks my heart, we just had biking star yesterday, you shoot himself, right?
- 5:14[SPEAKER_02]: Another one?
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, from the Vikings, I forget his name.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_01]: No, Steve, we're not there on the other one.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_02]: The wide receiver.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, okay, okay, yes, and same guy.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_02]: What was that yesterday was that?
- 5:23[SPEAKER_02]: It was the same time for him this week.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this week.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_01]: Yesterday, it was Monday, you're right there.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_02]: And it's just, it breaks my heart that they get into their head.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think people really understand the hard way, the type of pressure we put on ourselves.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not only us, right?
- 5:39[SPEAKER_01]: Imagine your family's depending on you to go out there and make the money do the thing, bring it back home, take care of everybody.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_01]: And as a lot of people see on Sundays, some guys just don't translate or they just don't get the opportunities or their body just breaks down.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_01]: It's very, those are really the three options that really happen or you succeed and you thrive.
- 5:57[SPEAKER_01]: But a lot of guys,
- 5:58[SPEAKER_01]: It goes to a point where you put so much pressure on yourself, and you put so much value in football to where you can't see the end of the tunnel.
- 6:05[SPEAKER_01]: You can't put yourself to say, I'm more than a football player.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_01]: Now, granted, for me, I just believe I was a football player when I played, and then I retired, and I was like, dang, you know what, like, I can't be more, you know what?
- 6:16[SPEAKER_01]: Well, I had to have somebody tell me, I'm like, you can't be more.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_01]: Um, I didn't go through a huge state of depression, but just to go through depression, um, it wasn't suicidal or anything, but it was still tough, um, you know, because your identities wrapped up in what you do, what you've been doing for the last since I was eight years old, you know, and now I'm like, okay, who am I?
- 6:31[SPEAKER_01]: Um, but what I was able to have was it was in my corner, my financial team, um, Aaron Stevens, shout out to Aaron, he was like, you know, I think you should go back to school.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, man, I already got the paper that matters.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_01]: I'm rich, you know what I mean?
- 6:43[SPEAKER_01]: He was like, nah, like you've got to go.
- 6:44[SPEAKER_01]: learn and educate yourself and I was like he's especially if you're going to get in the business you got to understand what the LTV is and all these other things are and I was like okay cool and so I did the six week stand for program and you know I was like walk I can't read more than a few pages in the book I cannot I can't understand a retainer stuff I can write a paper and so I really took those small steps to really build me up to say okay I do believe in myself now and
- 7:07[SPEAKER_01]: And I think the sad part is a lot of guys don't have that.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_01]: Like we were talking earlier, you know, my agent left me.
- 7:11[SPEAKER_01]: So if a lot of guys don't have a good financial guy or an agent that actually cares about them, then they're lost and they're by themselves and there's nobody that'll help them.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a huge, a huge void in that aspect and I hope the leak steps up and pays for that young man's funeral.
- 7:26[SPEAKER_01]: And, you know, I hope parents really talk to their kids about
- 7:30[SPEAKER_01]: be more, go to school, like really focus on things.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_01]: Get people in your corner there going to help you drive, not just take from you.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a tough site when you see things like that, especially from a young man I had this whole life in front of him.
- 7:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I mean, we're starting to see that a lot.
- 7:45[SPEAKER_02]: And for me, these are elite athletes and they are groomed to be just super star humans in general.
- 7:53[SPEAKER_02]: And I always struggle with the fact that the finding that balance, like,
- 7:57[SPEAKER_02]: you're in a lead athlete, now you're going through this major depression, but they've been groomed for so much since you've been groomed as a kid to be a superstar athlete, but being a superstar athlete translates into a normal life.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_02]: You're usually a hard worker, you're usually, you know, a steward, a good steward in general.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_02]: And it just breaks me when I see these guys going in through that kind of depression.
- 8:18[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think is the catalyst for some of this stuff?
- 8:20[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you said it, right?
- 8:21[SPEAKER_01]: You said they're hot workers and are good stewards, but, you know,
- 8:25[SPEAKER_01]: How does that necessarily translate when you didn't get a college degree?
- 8:28[SPEAKER_01]: Like I did, put me in the for example.
- 8:29[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't finish college, right?
- 8:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so what opportunities do I really have on my fingertips to go out there?
- 8:34[SPEAKER_01]: One, two, make as much money as I did previously.
- 8:37[SPEAKER_01]: As fast I did and put myself in a position where, I guess in the NFL, if you're a star, you can be considered a C-suite executive.
- 8:43[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just compare it to that.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_01]: To put myself in a C-suite executive role right away, it's not realistic.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_01]: I can't, you can't, you can't, but I can't, everybody's like, why don't you wear it so much is like, well, because I can't go to vines and buy food with it, right, damn sure, I can't go to, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh uh, uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh uh
- 9:04[SPEAKER_01]: But you have to really understand the educational aspect of it because people've been doing it for a long time before you and the opportunities for it.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's why I think it's so tough.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I think what I'm doing is needed because at the end of the day, you need people behind you.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_01]: You need people to push, you need people to put your positions, educate you, show you the way.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's interesting.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I think it's tough because
- 9:26[SPEAKER_01]: Um, a lot of guys just don't see themselves as as much sometimes in its sucks, but we're also not, I say this.
- 9:33[SPEAKER_01]: We're also baby to the fact, and it's, and I say, baby for lack of better phrasing.
- 9:37[SPEAKER_01]: Um, we're babyed, we're coddled, we're taking care of all that have to worry about what's X's and O's.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_01]: My bills are paid, my family wants to come out, do something, they need to something, everything was taken care of, right?
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: And so to have all that taken care of and then expect the guy to just get out of the league and answer emails or, um, I still type like this
- 9:54[SPEAKER_01]: Open your own mail.
- 9:55[SPEAKER_01]: It's not really realistic, especially when they're going through so many things in their head, financial issues, merit issues, identity issues, personal issues.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a lot on that retired athlete to try to act like he's going to get out there right away.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we have a lot of good examples you spoke about before.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_01]: The three other Super Bowl champions you've had come through here, and there's plenty other good examples, but, you know, unfortunately, when a bad one speaks just as loudly as a good one's.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_02]: And they're not necessarily bad.
- 10:22[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know what the NFL is doing to kind of like, do you real this?
- 10:27[SPEAKER_02]: I think that there's some preventative measures that the NFL can certainly do to make sure that these things don't happen.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_02]: And coddling someone,
- 10:37[SPEAKER_02]: It hurts them more than helps them.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_01]: It does, but you know, it's like, let's thank you for example, right?
- 10:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you have a thousand things on your plate, right?
- 10:44[SPEAKER_01]: And if you have somebody that can come take some things off, allow you to focus, okay, but then that means you're taking away from understanding and learning that, to say pay a bill or something, right?
- 10:52[SPEAKER_01]: Understand hospital networks and co-pays or whatever.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_01]: Once you try to get back in that life, you're already a step behind, right?
- 10:59[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's everybody, you know what I'm saying?
- 11:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I think just education or just creating something that has that same access and connections that can pull from, or not out the league, or if they are professional or an executive, that they can still have to not make that cliff so hard or so sharp, I should say, or so short.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: Well, now stepping out of being a superstar athlete, now you're, you know, now you're in our world, now you're an entrepreneur.
- 11:24[SPEAKER_02]: What do you think was harder becoming a superstar athlete or now becoming a CEO?
- 11:30[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good question.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not gonna do you political, I'll choose one.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_01]: I think being a,
- 11:39[SPEAKER_01]: That's a heart one.
- 11:40[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give you two answers.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_01]: I think being a superstar athlete is very hard.
- 11:43[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously a lot of things have to go right.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: You have to have the coaching.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_01]: You have to have the body type, right?
- 11:48[SPEAKER_01]: You have to have the mindset.
- 11:49[SPEAKER_01]: But I also think being a CEO is equally as hard.
- 11:52[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe I would say that's harder because now you're not just finding it gets a small group of guys.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_01]: Just finding it gets everybody in the world that wants to do something and let alone.
- 12:00[SPEAKER_01]: if you chose a niche space or you chose something in finance like you that there's 100 thousands of people doing it all around the world right and so to separate yourself is hard and really come up with a new innovative idea is tough so I would have to say between those two options becoming a CEO business owner is definitely tough.
- 12:20[SPEAKER_01]: Because in, I'll say this in sports, you don't quit.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, I'm never going to quit.
- 12:23[SPEAKER_01]: And business is like, fail fast and move on.
- 12:25[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like, that's such a hard concept for me to understand.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_01]: Playing sports.
- 12:29[SPEAKER_01]: You're like, no, that doesn't make any sense as the money's doing.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 12:33[SPEAKER_02]: You know, uh, kind of piggybacking on that, you're, now you're, you're a CEO, and now you're in this space.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of niche.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: I haven't heard about something like this service offer before, but also the demographic that you're chasing is kind of as niche as well.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 12:49[SPEAKER_02]: Because you're looking for.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_02]: pretty much a fluent people.
- 12:53[SPEAKER_02]: They can afford these concierge lifestyle services.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: So two questions, one, how are you getting their attention and making sure that the care league is the company that you want to go to for these services.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_02]: You know, how are you, what's your go to market strategy?
- 13:11[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, first let me go back, right?
- 13:12[SPEAKER_01]: I think that you said the league has to be doing something.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_01]: So as a mere Cobb, at the trust is doing a hell of a job in really putting things out there for the guys that they can utilize.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'll commend him on what he's been able to do.
- 13:23[SPEAKER_01]: And so yeah.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_01]: You asked about the budget or the finance part, the our subscription model, right?
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: The way I'll try to price it is because I understand that there's athletes and there's business people that got to worry about everything else, right?
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: So if I'm like, hey, I want you to be a part of us.
- 13:39[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, well, we're 20,000 a year.
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: You're going to be like, okay, cool, if that fits your pocket.
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: If you still have to pay for everything, which I'm very conscious about, the providers who bring to you, then to me, that's not fair.
- 13:51[SPEAKER_01]: So where we are, we're starting about 250, 399 is where we start, and depending on what you want to ask for a month, and so depending on what you ask for, and how frequently you ask for it, and the things you want us to do for you.
- 14:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I really want to price it in that frame, so that we can sit here and be
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: for everybody, right?
- 14:07[SPEAKER_01]: I just don't want to be for the ultra rich.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_01]: I don't want to just be for the Uber poor, because we still have to have a bit of successful business.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_01]: I want to be right there in the middle of that.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_01]: People can sit there, pay the monthly subscription fee, but also understand if they have a doctor, they need to go see that and pay that and not hurt their pockets too much, right?
- 14:23[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it's hard times right now.
- 14:24[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, that's where we are.
- 14:27[SPEAKER_02]: So I got two things.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_02]: One, her mozi says, you can't have a successful business if you're for the poor.
- 14:35[SPEAKER_02]: you either for the poor people or you're for the rich people and the middle is a hard ground to dig your to dig into but I guess for your model I guess you can't charge 10 grand for it's it because they still got paid for the service it still got a pay for the service I mean we could and who knows one day we might get there right but at the day today's date
- 14:52[SPEAKER_01]: For me, it's about what's our core audience, right?
- 14:55[SPEAKER_01]: Professionals and executives, right?
- 14:56[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's a core in the second core audience, or the first one A is the athletes, right?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_01]: And so understanding where the athletes come from, where a lot of guys are going bankrupt, selling their Super Bowl rings, like what's the price point that we can get to them, so that they can see the value and what's we show them the value and everything else we add more to their play.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_01]: We add more services, then we can have a talk, right?
- 15:15[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, hell, everybody pays for Netflix, and it's going up every month, and they don't care, right?
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: And so,
- 15:19[SPEAKER_01]: For me, it's a show to value first, prove the model, show the wealth of network we have, and then as we go, get to a point where we can be competitive price, or just stay there, and because I believe in quantity, as well as quality, so let's get that straight.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_02]: So, the Care League has every kind of service from, we're going to add financial now.
- 15:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, I'm going to add financial.
- 15:42[SPEAKER_02]: But every sort of doctor, specialized doctor, health longevity, and it's very niche then, right?
- 15:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, it's very built in.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_01]: So what we like to do, so we're a care coordination concierge company, and one of the things that I'm pulling from my experience in the NFL has been able to walk into a training room and have everything got your fingertips.
- 15:59[SPEAKER_01]: I need a massage.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: I need EKG, I need an MRI, it's done like that.
- 16:04[SPEAKER_01]: I need to see a doctor for this rash.
- 16:06[SPEAKER_01]: You're in there like that in the NFL, and then you retire.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: I'm realizing people are walking around with 20 ACLs, 20 KELICIES for weeks years.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm like, that doesn't make any sense.
- 16:14[SPEAKER_01]: So we have that health and wellness network so you can pull from.
- 16:17[SPEAKER_01]: and also lifestyle in hospitality, right?
- 16:19[SPEAKER_01]: Because if you want to travel, you want to do something for your lady, your kids need something, we do it all in every space.
- 16:25[SPEAKER_01]: And I think I pride myself, I'm not just being specific, health and wellness or specific lifestyle in hospitality.
- 16:30[SPEAKER_01]: It's both combined to do whole life care.
- 16:33[SPEAKER_02]: So with that said, like, what was the overarching objective when you wanted to start the care league?
- 16:41[SPEAKER_02]: Like, because you said to me, you're like,
- 16:43[SPEAKER_02]: Well, shoot, right after I got out of the league, like, I didn't have any resources.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:47[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what they'll do.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 16:49[SPEAKER_02]: And that hits, you know, and that hits, and it don't, I mean, like, right now, just saying that, it's like, your target avatars are athletes.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_02]: Retired athletes, because they don't know what they'll do.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, nothing.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_01]: After they get out, they're like, where do I go?
- 17:04[SPEAKER_01]: You go to the care league.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_01]: You come to the care league, we got your back.
- 17:07[SPEAKER_01]: So for me, I'll preface it by saying, you know, I did very well for myself.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_01]: 10 years in an NFL over $100 million in contracts before taxes after taxes is another story as you know.
- 17:16[SPEAKER_01]: But still did very well for myself.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: And so for me sitting there, I'll tell you the story.
- 17:21[SPEAKER_01]: I had a McLaren, I tried to be cool, hydro-plained it crash didn't, so got to Rose Royce, I was like, I need to slow down.
- 17:27[SPEAKER_01]: But as I got the Rose Royce, I'm driving the ghost.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I feel so pretentious like this.
- 17:31[SPEAKER_01]: You get almost a wrong attention.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, I'm still what 33 at the time.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, this is like a 60-year-old 80-year-old car.
- 17:37[SPEAKER_01]: Somebody that's lived enough life and nobody's going to think he's ominous or anything.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_01]: And so I was sitting there and as I'm looking at stories of guys dying, guys going bankrupt, guys, not being able to take care of themselves.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_01]: It really hit me because I'm like, how do I go from caring about these guys when we're playing ball?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_01]: blood, blood sweat tears with these guys really fighting every day to now I'm retired and I'm not supposed to care about them when I'm see people struggling living, check the check after playing six, seven, eight years.
- 18:02[SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't make any sense to me.
- 18:03[SPEAKER_01]: So I sold the rose Royce sounds like I'm a starter business to help guys.
- 18:06[SPEAKER_01]: And so as I did this, you know, I'm understanding the league has great resources, but they're still a gap from what guys understand and the utilization of the benefits we earn.
- 18:14[SPEAKER_01]: You can understand when we sit here and we have
- 18:22[SPEAKER_01]: If we're not utilizing our benefits, we're not maximizing them, truly getting our minds worth out of them, then we can't go back in 2030 and ask for more of the owners are going to be like, yeah, what are you talking about?
- 18:31[SPEAKER_01]: You guys don't even use this, right?
- 18:32[SPEAKER_01]: And so for me to see here and be an advocate for have got to give us more to give our families more that we so we can deserve to get if you play 10 years, let's say five years in an NFL, you get free healthcare like basketball.
- 18:42[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, hell, that's
- 18:43[SPEAKER_01]: And that's a good trade-off, especially when we're way more, we put our buys on a line way more, and I'm not just trying to strike basketball players, but it's a different game.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_01]: And so we can see here and start utilizing things and start maximizing things, and we can act for more, and if we can get more, then we can feel better.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_01]: And we can stop.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_01]: Can we curse on this show?
- 18:59[SPEAKER_02]: Go for it.
- 19:00[SPEAKER_01]: We start bitching about what we don't have, but it comes from education and having guys come in and be a part of it.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_01]: I want to go talk to the NFL one time when I first started and I'm talking to this to the higher-ups and she's like, man, you know, we do a good job, guys got to open mail.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: We sent emails.
- 19:16[SPEAKER_01]: I said, I said,
- 19:18[SPEAKER_01]: lady, I get what you're saying, but you're asking a lot from guys that weren't taught this and don't have the business hacking.
- 19:25[SPEAKER_01]: The business acumen or the time or just the brain power to worry about that, right?
- 19:29[SPEAKER_01]: We got to hit them in a different way and so that's why with the curly, what I really, the first thing we implemented was giving people a concierge assistant, right?
- 19:36[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to call you twice a week.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to ask you what you need.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_01]: We also have a mentor, which is an older guy on our team named Billy.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_01]: who played 12-year Super Bowl Champion as well because I'm like, these guys need somebody that they can talk to that they can relate to to say, hey, I'm going through this and we can understand each other, right?
- 19:51[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, some guys have been rich, been broke, been divorced, got back on it, right?
- 19:55[SPEAKER_01]: Like it's a whole, we have a whole ecosystem and I tell people, is it NFL?
- 19:58[SPEAKER_01]: We have one of the biggest frats.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_01]: It's almost like we just refuse to use each other, which is a problem.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm trying to bring all that together.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_02]: Collaboration is key and you said something like that really,
- 20:08[SPEAKER_02]: hits and that is that you have a concierge to call them because people don't know what they need and to ask about it.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_02]: And one of the biggest things in any business is execution.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 20:20[SPEAKER_02]: And the way to get execution is to nudge.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: And now you're nudging these people going listen.
- 20:25[SPEAKER_01]: what the hell do you need like what's hurting today what's what's going on exactly and and one of the things we do is since we understand the benefits speak pretty speaking about NFL guys um and athletes we know there are benefit packages right and so we can say hey um what do you need is like hey man I want to go back to school but I don't really know how okay cool that's a benefit let's use that that's free hey I want to start a business but I need some um help okay cool that's a benefit that's free let's use it right and so we really push to NFL guys and all athletes to utilize
- 20:53[SPEAKER_01]: three letter league has given them to be able to make it as cheap as possible for free since they already paid into it.
- 21:00[SPEAKER_01]: And if that's not in the road decks at the benefit packages, then we go to our road decks and make sure that our providers who we make deals and partnerships with can provide a great product for a discounted rate.
- 21:11[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, my mind is just going and I think like your network is going to expand, you know,
- 21:23[SPEAKER_02]: He's now buying the socks, and I feel like there's so much synergy here with what we're doing.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_02]: And there's just a lack of education for athletes post.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: profession 100% and if they just had some actual direction where they're not they're handheld.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:45[SPEAKER_02]: They just got to be handheld into it because they're going to leave they're going to go they're going to immediately fall into depression.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_02]: But if there was like a hand holding ecosystem.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_02]: That's partnered.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_02]: Directly not just like where you now you got to like you got to reach out to these people and then get them to adopt.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 22:02[SPEAKER_02]: But there needs to be something greater than what you're doing.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_02]: to create a true hand-holding platform for athletes.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we're building it, we are the platform.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: You know, and I think that's why we have something great.
- 22:15[SPEAKER_01]: It's niche, and it's nothing like it out there.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm excited about what we have.
- 22:20[SPEAKER_01]: I'm excited about building partnerships and people the good feedback that we've had.
- 22:24[SPEAKER_01]: We've been able to take a few good players, explorers, through it and they love it.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's like, hey, man, let's just keep going and really serve.
- 22:32[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you're coming from a place of humility.
- 22:35[SPEAKER_01]: God's work for these guys, man.
- 22:36[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, yeah, I appreciate it.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate it.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_01]: So just looking to build, you know, get with the three letter leagues in B.A.
- 22:41[SPEAKER_01]: in H.L.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_01]: NFL, go across these, the soccer, and truly take care of the guys that truly build the sport to allow the owners to eat and be who they are, but you gotta go from the owner all the way to the guy at the bottom, right?
- 22:53[SPEAKER_02]: And those guys at the bottom, I mean, at the bottom.
- 22:55[SPEAKER_02]: Walk me through like some of the success cases of some athletes that you've experienced.
- 23:00[SPEAKER_02]: That get out of the league and they're like, I don't know what to do with my life.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, so I appreciate you asking.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_01]: So we had a guy that wants to be an actor, right?
- 23:07[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't really have any connections.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_01]: So through our role of Dex, we were able to get him partnered with an acting coach and also some people in the acting scene to be able to help him get it in every, we got him in every or two.
- 23:18[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's one success story.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_01]: One guy needed to move as he's taking a coaching job.
- 23:23[SPEAKER_01]: So we said cool, well, you have that benefit, let's go through that.
- 23:25[SPEAKER_01]: We helped him with that.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_01]: He also wanted to do some peptides because as you can understand as an athlete you go one to two ways Once you retire you think you're super big or you're super small And me I have cheekbones now and my stomach stopped popping out.
- 23:35[SPEAKER_01]: So I've been doing a lot of work.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know So that's one success story where we took care of him and partner him with the company that does peptides Got him with this kind of rate took care of him and he still used them today One of our current guy.
- 23:47[SPEAKER_01]: He needed He was a free agent.
- 23:49[SPEAKER_01]: We had a partnership with this agency
- 23:50[SPEAKER_01]: So we took care of the guy he needed a PRP shot and he needed the PRP shots, but he was the X team Health the images that he had right and so for us we were like we told the agent you first You got to get the images from the team So we can understand what's going on with them.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_01]: We have to get some doctors know church We have access to doctors.
- 24:07[SPEAKER_01]: I can get them doctors notes and we have to do a whole whole whole third other thing So we educate the agent on that how to do that got to player taking care of sinna sinna black card to pick them up
- 24:16[SPEAKER_01]: dropped them off, Billy, the guy I told the mentor, met him there, paid for the bill, because you know, he was in some financial, he's a free agent, barely got two years in a league, so we took care of it.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_01]: And of course, we built the agency.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, we're not doing it.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, we took care of it in the moment, because the agent couldn't be there.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so, that's the type of things that we do.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_01]: We helped a single a business woman who has two kids.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: She wanted her son to get
- 24:44[SPEAKER_01]: Good friends, Ryan Pron.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_01]: He has an app, Exmo walkie brewer.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_01]: He has a baseball app, so we pass that off.
- 24:51[SPEAKER_01]: And we have some baseball coaches lined up for, if she wants to go that route.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's how we make life easier for people.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_01]: It's just not to tell people anything you need, just acts, and we have a connection for.
- 25:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know, that's like, that service is so instrumental, like I'm a guy, I have a ton of resources just because I got podcasts, but that's I'm unique, you know, like, I'm unique and that's why you're not exactly or like ideal client.
- 25:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I have a whole ecosystem of networks, but it took me millions of dollars to build this real ecosystem of resources.
- 25:23[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and I didn't, and intentionally just kind of like it came as a byproduct of branding and.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: you know, being a CEO and influencer and all this other stuff.
- 25:32[SPEAKER_02]: But nobody has that, you know, that 99.9999 99% of people listening don't have that.
- 25:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_02]: But with your service, they have that.
- 25:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's that's it.
- 25:41[SPEAKER_02]: Everything got you on the bucks a month.
- 25:43[SPEAKER_02]: You could buy fast all the work that I put in to build this massive ecosystem.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: Because I'm thinking, I mean, even me, even in the sports because like my kids all training all these different sports, I, you know, and I have some, but I could still use a lot of your research because I don't have all the pro athletes to coach my kids and football or baseball or whatever.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 26:02[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so even then, you still smoke me, and that was some of the research.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_01]: Well, you know, it's just adding value.
- 26:08[SPEAKER_01]: You know, like you said, you build a role decks over the years, um, paid money.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_01]: You've met people, right?
- 26:13[SPEAKER_01]: And so you've done that, right?
- 26:14[SPEAKER_01]: The circles you rolling, um, not everybody gets to to roll in those circles, right?
- 26:18[SPEAKER_01]: And so if we can give what you have to people, um, for less time and way less money, then, you know, and effort, I think that just ask, like that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that's that
- 26:32[SPEAKER_01]: You don't even ask, but you're seeing there in your concert, it's cause you and says, what do you want?
- 26:36[SPEAKER_01]: That's it, you're like, hey man, what do you need?
- 26:37[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, a toilet paper?
- 26:38[SPEAKER_01]: We got you, we'll send something later today.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, and it's not necessary going through, you know, you can go through your elbow, your other quick shop door dash, but like, you know, we source things to really fit the type of lifestyle you're trying to focus on.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_01]: Is it a certain group of demographic you want to support?
- 26:52[SPEAKER_01]: Is it a certain person you want to support?
- 26:54[SPEAKER_01]: Like, what do you want to support?
- 26:56[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you want to be?
- 26:57[SPEAKER_01]: Who do you want to represent?
- 26:58[SPEAKER_01]: And we got that for you.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_01]: We can fit that niche.
- 27:00[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I think you should clearly identify like, what is the difference between your service and like chat GPTing it?
- 27:09[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to do the work for you.
- 27:10[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they're going to write it out.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_01]: You still got to get up and go do it.
- 27:13[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to, you're going to, you could chat GPT, what you want to tell us and we'll get it done.
- 27:16[SPEAKER_01]: Or just, let's ask, and you may not have an understanding of what that means.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_01]: Or let's say you want to talk to a financial advisor, right?
- 27:22[SPEAKER_01]: We were able to say we got you on the podcast.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me, on our, um, to talk to some people.
- 27:26[SPEAKER_01]: So what we would say is, let's talk to a guy that you would never be able to have access to.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_01]: And what we would ask from you, say, hey, can you give these guys a free audit?
- 27:34[SPEAKER_01]: And our consultation for free, right?
- 27:37[SPEAKER_01]: Like that's the value we want to be able to bring to our members so they can talk, understand, learn, and be able to build, and then make a valid decision.
- 27:43[SPEAKER_01]: And say, hey, I have two more guys for you to talk to before you make a decision.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just talk to everybody.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so that's, you know, we take the time away from you searching for things.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_01]: And we also give you the quality people that are good at really, really good at what they do.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_01]: And so, yeah.
- 27:55[SPEAKER_02]: And you're getting, you said something else earlier, it's like, you get LeBron James type treatment.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_02]: Like you, you get the best of the best stuff that people don't know exist.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 28:08[SPEAKER_02]: Not just athlete lifestyles, stuff like the crem-dillic crem resources.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, you know, you're $100 million, you get $100 million.
- 28:15[SPEAKER_02]: You get $100 million, you get resources.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:19[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know, you get to live like a true athlete.
- 28:20[SPEAKER_01]: And I think that's the goal.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_01]: And that's one of the taglines that we have right live like an athlete right and we understand what that means Mate is that the parting whatever you view as a living like athletes after partying is that the lifestyle is that Is that having the health character fingertips is that being able to get taken care of right when you need things And so health whatever like whatever you see an athlete or visualize when you see an athlete Live like the the positive stuff
- 28:45[SPEAKER_02]: So you don't have like VIP concierge bottle service.
- 28:48[SPEAKER_02]: Then we can do that.
- 28:49[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, you can do that.
- 28:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we can do that.
- 28:51[SPEAKER_00]: You know, we can go down a whole rabbit hole, depending we'll talk about that later.
- 28:54[SPEAKER_00]: That's where if a specific conversation with the member.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, we can do everything.
- 28:58[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so it is true VIP at the concierge.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: I might just be a member anyway.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's just to have it.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_02]: That would be awesome.
- 29:05[SPEAKER_02]: This is what LeBron's like.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: I want on LeBron's level.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Let's do it.
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: We've got nothing to brag about to my kids.
- 29:11[SPEAKER_01]: Hey, you know, they can get it too.
- 29:12[SPEAKER_01]: So, and I think that's the biggest thing for us is we tell our members that if you're femme, if you want it for you, right, or for anybody that's Samarit, say you're married.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_01]: Are you married?
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
- 29:23[SPEAKER_01]: So, for a member of that Samarit, they'd be like, hey, Emily, or girlfriend, they could say, hey, come out girlfriend, you use it, come out wife, you say yes, can your kids use it?
- 29:29[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_01]: We're here for the whole family.
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just,
- 29:31[SPEAKER_01]: you, right?
- 29:32[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not like you have to pay an extra fee on top of that to take care of the family.
- 29:36[SPEAKER_01]: Like we understand, we want to prove to you our worth.
- 29:38[SPEAKER_01]: We want to make sure that everybody in the family is taking care.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_01]: And when you call on us, it's done.
- 29:42[SPEAKER_01]: So everybody's involved.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's a whole family affair.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_02]: You know, there are services like this in Vegas, just for like nightlight.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_02]: There aren't like services like this for like a complete ecosystem of life.
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: You cover health,
- 30:01[SPEAKER_02]: help a daddy lifestyle anything lifestyle day to day fashion.
- 30:04[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you got like probably, you know, if you want Custom suits you probably have that.
- 30:09[SPEAKER_01]: We actually have to guy do that about two weeks ago He wanted to get some suits and we had a tailor come to his house show on the fabric.
- 30:15[SPEAKER_01]: He bought some stuff I said, hey, let us know if you need some stuff some more stuff right and also he was an athlete So we showed them the benefits that he had to get more stuff for this kind of rate.
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: So
- 30:23[SPEAKER_01]: A lot of guys just don't understand what they have at their fingertips, and for us would say the professionals in the executives of the world, you know, it's doing the data day stuff.
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: Right?
- 30:33[SPEAKER_01]: What have you forgotten?
- 30:34[SPEAKER_01]: Do you need personal shopping?
- 30:36[SPEAKER_01]: You know, you want to go grocery shopping, and I cannot work a lot.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, cool.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_01]: We have access to a company that does personal shopping from locally source farms, or produce meats, vegetables, whatever you need being you're doing two days, right?
- 30:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so, we really just focus on really making life easier for everybody in every single way.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_02]: What people have to understand the most important thing in life is time and one thing that you're Really just dialing in for people especially like busy CEOs like I have no time for anything like if I'm gonna do a chore It's just more like therapy than anything I gotta do my dishes now like This is a time to meditate.
- 31:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'm wishing brother.
- 31:15[SPEAKER_02]: I wish you
- 31:15[SPEAKER_02]: Like because I don't have time.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: I got four kids.
- 31:18[SPEAKER_01]: I got the expi if I got you know all I got no time You're pulling that you put a lot away and you got a business right company podcast content Yep, traveling speaking and gaming so over the country, so like there's no time Yep, exactly, and so I think that's where we really focus on really helping people get the time back
- 31:34[SPEAKER_01]: the access to connections, whether it be travel, anything, the kids need something, right?
- 31:39[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we just just want to be a worth.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_01]: And so, that's one of the things I really learned from the NFL.
- 31:44[SPEAKER_01]: You have to be valuable and to be valuable.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_01]: You have to bring something to the table, right?
- 31:47[SPEAKER_01]: And so, that's what I'm just really pulling from.
- 31:49[SPEAKER_01]: And just really want to...
- 31:51[SPEAKER_01]: just grow because I tell people being an athlete like, you know, we look to transform not transition.
- 31:56[SPEAKER_01]: You got to transform into something else, right?
- 31:58[SPEAKER_01]: You can't be that guy.
- 32:00[SPEAKER_01]: I tell people all the time like, man, you know, in a fail, you don't have what he called it, um, not HRA, but, um,
- 32:08[SPEAKER_01]: What's the people when you get in trouble, you gotta go talk to him?
- 32:10[SPEAKER_01]: HR, we don't have HR.
- 32:12[SPEAKER_01]: Like if you get in the fight, you mean you fight?
- 32:13[SPEAKER_01]: There's no HR in the NFL?
- 32:14[SPEAKER_01]: No, if we fight, it's over.
- 32:16[SPEAKER_01]: People are watching you.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_01]: All right, cool.
- 32:18[SPEAKER_01]: Now you're done, right?
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's no HR.
- 32:19[SPEAKER_01]: And then you leave and have my first business partner when we first started, but he's not there no more.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_01]: We were talking about the dedicates, right?
- 32:27[SPEAKER_01]: And he was like, I can't talk about that.
- 32:28[SPEAKER_01]: And front of some of the ladies, you know, some people might feel a type of way about the plan.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like,
- 32:33[SPEAKER_01]: That's crazy to me.
- 32:34[SPEAKER_01]: I just didn't understand it.
- 32:35[SPEAKER_01]: One, because our business is not a lot of women in the room all the time.
- 32:40[SPEAKER_01]: But two, because I'm just used to fully talking about stuff.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_01]: And I'm not thinking about how people feel when we're talking about things, but not maybe at certain topic, or having an opinion that might not be politically correct, or you just say what you've got to say in the NFL, if you don't like it, you don't like it, who cares?
- 32:57[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, so definitely talk to me a lot and have to change, get more businessy.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you know, I talk, I know this is off topic, but you talk about fighting in the NFL.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: One thing, I'm always confused about, they're allowed to, they're not allowed to punch and hit each other in the NFL and you get it in trouble.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_02]: But in the NHL, they want you to fight in punch and then they televised that and there's a full-on boxing match going on and you're rooting for whoever, you know?
- 33:22[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't make sense, they're allowed to do that in the NHL and they're not allowed to do that in the NFL.
- 33:26[SPEAKER_01]: You guys ever asked, like, why is this happening?
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we get it in the NFL.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_01]: One, you can break your hand and now you're sitting there out, right?
- 33:33[SPEAKER_01]: Or you see, you drink your hand and then it's out too.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_01]: True.
- 33:37[SPEAKER_01]: But you know, most guys aren't going to take their helmet off.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_01]: Or you get the love this guy, but Miles Garrett, where he just swings it.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean?
- 33:43[SPEAKER_01]: It's not safe.
- 33:44[SPEAKER_01]: one, but two, I think it's funny because I love Premier League soccer, big full on fan, Shahid Khan was up and also I'm a huge new castle fan.
- 33:53[SPEAKER_01]: And so it's funny because full on was playing one day I believe in one of their players got pushed and they were getting to a fight and I'm like, oh, he's going to get fined and I'm sure he did get fined because you can't fight in soccer, right?
- 34:03[SPEAKER_01]: But then,
- 34:04[SPEAKER_01]: a week later they played the clip in a promo of the Premier League and I was like how crazy is that where they're going to use the clip to promote the league and show the fight in this and a battle of it but possibly find a guy for doing those actions right and so but it's a business.
- 34:19[SPEAKER_02]: I mean forget about what happens in the stands.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_02]: The actual fans are just like shooting each other.
- 34:25[SPEAKER_01]: I love the old Oakland days what the A stadium those were good days.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: Now, whiny up, I want to talk about some of your personal goals here, kind of some of the things because I really believe in what you're doing, what's a personal goal that you have for yourself right now, a family goal that you have for your family and a business goal that you have for the care they, a personal goal.
- 34:53[SPEAKER_01]: I think it's really just to be happy with where I'm at in life and what I'm doing.
- 34:57[SPEAKER_01]: You can get caught up looking at everybody else, especially when you're in the business world.
- 35:00[SPEAKER_01]: You have talks to other people who say in the conchiers world and you see how successful they are.
- 35:04[SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, why can't I just get over this hump?
- 35:06[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it's just understanding and being happy about where I am, the position I'm in, the mental clarity that I have, the work ethic that I have, the people behind me.
- 35:15[SPEAKER_01]: And so I think that's truly just just be happy and not necessarily content, but just be happy.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_01]: In the business world, of course, building a successful business that people see valuable and also utilize and build partnerships with NFL, NHL, NBA, Soccer, MLS, to be able to take care of their athletes and compound on what we're doing to be able to build those
- 35:42[SPEAKER_01]: those companies up in what they're doing with their retired athletes and the current athletes whatever they need.
- 35:46[SPEAKER_01]: So that's a business goal in life goal.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_01]: That was a third one, right?
- 35:50[SPEAKER_01]: Family goal.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: Family goal.
- 35:51[SPEAKER_01]: Excuse me.
- 35:52[SPEAKER_01]: My family goal.
- 35:56[SPEAKER_01]: Just to give my daughter the best life she can have and not necessarily having to be financial, but having me be very there, be present, knowing dad's gonna be there, dad cares about her.
- 36:06[SPEAKER_01]: That's really my family goal.
- 36:07[SPEAKER_01]: Of course, I would love to have three other ones like you have a total of four.
- 36:11[SPEAKER_01]: I'm a four more man, who's got gifts, man.
- 36:15[SPEAKER_01]: But for me, I think, as you can understand, dating is hard out here, and so just to find, so I think those two, two, two, prone question, right?
- 36:22[SPEAKER_01]: Be able to build, start a family,
- 36:26[SPEAKER_01]: So find somebody you can trust love and move forward with and provide for and then make sure my daughter just knows that she's everything and I built her up to be a functioning member of society that loves herself and that can
- 36:41[SPEAKER_01]: be a trustful baby, that's not an asshole.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: I want to actually, that's my next question because you grew up in a world of not much, right?
- 36:52[SPEAKER_02]: You didn't have what your daughter has.
- 36:53[SPEAKER_02]: No, middle class.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 36:56[SPEAKER_02]: And that allowed you to have a level of work ethic and grit that your daughter might not have because she didn't grow up in the same circumstances.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_02]: mindset that you had to overcome tribulation to just dominate what you dominated and sports.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: You also were a good student.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: How are you instilling that mindset and that grit mentality in your daughter?
- 37:25[SPEAKER_02]: Granted, she is potentially a trust from baby.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
- 37:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I tell her first thing I got on a knee one time and I was like, baby,
- 37:32[SPEAKER_01]: That is which not you so don't come out here think you got all this you haven't done anything So like let's let's prepare you to start to do something build your own legacy now granted She's gonna have nice little nest egg, but you know, she doesn't know that.
- 37:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so that's what I told her But for me, so she's a gymnast and so I tried instilling her to watch other gymnasts So I took her to UCLA right understand work ethic how hard things are
- 37:55[SPEAKER_01]: Understanding that you don't always get to do what you want to do.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_01]: You have to do what you have to do first to get what you want to do right?
- 38:00[SPEAKER_01]: And so there's little lessons that I just teach her every day and talk to her about It's really implement to her that like, you know Life isn't always just fun in games.
- 38:08[SPEAKER_01]: It's a lot of work But if you get to work out the way that's one of the fun in game start and so you know, it's just it's just that battle, right?
- 38:14[SPEAKER_01]: But then also and I love having a little girl because I need to hurt him make me soft, right?
- 38:18[SPEAKER_01]: Because after the league you're going through so much and I need a purpose and so she was a great.
- 38:21[SPEAKER_01]: I remember when I first retired
- 38:23[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, okay, cool.
- 38:24[SPEAKER_01]: Now my job is to get my daughter to school on time, right?
- 38:26[SPEAKER_01]: So I live in the valley so it's 101 to 45 and when you're going 101 to East of 45 South, you're gridlock, right?
- 38:33[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm like, all right, cool.
- 38:34[SPEAKER_01]: So my whole thing was like, if I got to school, I was like, yes, I did it.
- 38:38[SPEAKER_01]: You know, getting the claps in your head is like, yeah.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_01]: and I'm like, all right, now what for eight hours?
- 38:42[SPEAKER_01]: You know, La Vissa, definitely was a, but that's what I needed.
- 38:45[SPEAKER_01]: And so she's helped me out probably a lot more than I can do for her at the moment just with everything I'm going through.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah.
- 38:54[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm sure she's been the biggest blessing in your life without a doubt and it's you know for me as a CEO and a father and a guy who deals with this struggle of raising four kids in Newport who are around a bunch of other kids just like them.
- 39:07[SPEAKER_02]: I struggle with you know always trying to make sure that they have that same level of grit like from here.
- 39:13[SPEAKER_02]: Boom, I'm sure enough to just keep them like regimens like I'm regimen they're just busy with me as me.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: Wake up, grind all day, then get, then still grind.
- 39:21[SPEAKER_02]: You got your activities, and then you got your, you know, extra homework, and it's like boom, eight to eight, you're busy.
- 39:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: And that's how life is, you know, that's how life is.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it doesn't stop.
- 39:32[SPEAKER_01]: And I commend you on that, right?
- 39:33[SPEAKER_01]: Because you have to keep the kids busy.
- 39:34[SPEAKER_01]: You have to give them discipline.
- 39:35[SPEAKER_01]: It's funny enough, I told my daughter, I want to put in some martial arts to learn discipline.
- 39:39[SPEAKER_01]: And then she didn't necessarily know the true definition of discipline.
- 39:42[SPEAKER_01]: And so, you know, me as a dad, I'm like, I know everything.
- 39:44[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, shoot.
- 39:46[SPEAKER_01]: say, hey, Siri, what's the definition of discipline?
- 39:48[SPEAKER_01]: You know, because I know, but I want her to know for Betham, right?
- 39:50[SPEAKER_01]: And so I told her something, I'm like, oh, there we go.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
- 39:53[SPEAKER_01]: So like, I know, I know, I know our color behavior using punishment to correct a civilian.
- 39:59[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
- 40:01[SPEAKER_01]: Do you want to hear the next one?
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, thank you.
- 40:03[SPEAKER_01]: So, I'd you tell, say yeah.
- 40:04[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, so like I brought that exact one up and I explained it to her and the best way I could but I want to give her the dictionary version, right, so she can understand it.
- 40:11[SPEAKER_01]: And so I definitely commend you on that because you're right, it's really instilling in them that life is an easy, you have to fight for things that we brought up martial arts because I was like, you know, she's like, what daddy I do boxing, she does boxing too.
- 40:23[SPEAKER_01]: And I was like, yeah, but you know, what is it teaching you?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_01]: Do you, do you have
- 40:27[SPEAKER_01]: Can you, can you think about things, process things?
- 40:30[SPEAKER_01]: And so I'm just really just trying to build.
- 40:32[SPEAKER_01]: So I definitely commend you on being a present father, who has all these things going on, but still knows what's important.
- 40:37[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the most important stuff.
- 40:39[SPEAKER_02]: And I, I'm good at multitasking.
- 40:40[SPEAKER_02]: I've managed to be able to grind while I'm at jujitsu.
- 40:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 40:56[SPEAKER_02]: execute on the proper care.
- 40:58[SPEAKER_02]: And I think it's such a noble service.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to try to put some extra resources into it myself and make some good connections for you because I believe in your vision.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I believe that it's essential.
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: Especially because there's a true dilemma with professional athletes after the lights are off, you know, and it's it's getting worse and it just breaks my heart every single time.
- 41:23[SPEAKER_02]: I turn on, you know, I tell vision and I see this guy killed himself or something, you know, it's like, why is this happening?
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 41:29[SPEAKER_02]: How the hell is this happening all the time?
- 41:31[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 41:32[SPEAKER_02]: And the more resources, just like what Trump's doing right now in the housing market, he's firing at all cylinders.
- 41:39[SPEAKER_02]: This initiative, that initiative.
- 41:41[SPEAKER_02]: There is no one solution.
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: You just got a fire on all cylinders.
- 41:45[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like you're cylinders, it's a pretty good bullet.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_02]: You know, it's a, it's a pretty strong bullet and appreciate it.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: You know, you need to get some true momentum behind it.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: So we'll plug in some resources on our end.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_02]: to try to get add some momentum and it's all about serving and I truly believe that you're doing guys work.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_01]: Well I appreciate that and truly I think this is an opportunity for me to get out there, you know you're one of the best in a game I'm doing and not only in your topic but also just out there in a podcast space so I appreciate the platform.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_01]: I appreciate to me that come out here and just to kind of words, right?
- 42:17[SPEAKER_01]: Because I know a man of yourself, you're just actually your business that I can make, you're not going to tell somebody you don't believe in and just
- 42:22[SPEAKER_01]: You know, blow a smoke up their butts, right?
- 42:24[SPEAKER_01]: No, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no, there's no
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: When you're in front of the pearly gates, what do you think God's gonna tell you?
- 42:57[SPEAKER_01]: That's a good question.
- 42:59[SPEAKER_01]: I hope he tells me that you did a good job son and you represented me the right way.
- 43:04[SPEAKER_01]: And then let's need walk past.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I'm gonna talk to you.
- 43:09[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love you.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do it.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 43:10[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_01]: That's it.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's right.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: God bless you, bro.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: I hit.
- 43:13[SPEAKER_02]: I love what you're doing.
- 43:14[SPEAKER_02]: If people want to connect with you, I'll leave you how did they find you?
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
