- 0:00Speaker 1: At familyminute dot org.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Good morning, good morning, good morning, and welcome, welcome, welcome.
- 0:12Speaker 1: It is Thursday.
- 0:13Speaker 2: The sun is shining brightly and that means it's time
- 0:16Speaker 2: for car talk. Brad Dungeons with the Dungeons Family of Waters.
- 0:19Speaker 2: How you doing today, young man? Oh, good morning friends.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Hi Tom, Yeah, we're It's a beautiful day out there.
- 0:24Speaker 2: What a nice bed this morning. This morning, it seems
- 0:27Speaker 2: kind of cool and I love the fall. Weather seems
- 0:30Speaker 2: to be approaching a little bit, and lots of neat
- 0:33Speaker 2: stuff going on. Football seasons here, everybody's back in school.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Cooler weather is coming.
- 0:39Speaker 1: We got big truck sale going on and on tont
- 0:43Speaker 1: Tacoma F one fifty and super duty, and got a
- 0:47Speaker 1: bunch of new incentives this week from the manufacturers. We
- 0:52Speaker 1: got a lot of inventory headed our way and a
- 0:55Speaker 1: bunch on the ground too, and we definitely want to
- 0:58Speaker 1: buy your Toyota's interesting how the best new vehicles make
- 1:02Speaker 1: the best used cars, and we're seeing a lot of that.
- 1:06Speaker 1: We've been buying a bunch in the last few weeks
- 1:08Speaker 1: and they but they keep selling, so there's high demand.
- 1:11Speaker 1: So if you're looking to sell your Toyota will make
- 1:14Speaker 1: it really easy and offer you a top dollar for that.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I've got a friend here today, Tiffany Sallo. Welcome. Tithany
- 1:21Speaker 1: Cook from the Cherokee area. Boy Scouts of America Welcome.
- 1:26Speaker 3: Thanks.
- 1:27Speaker 1: Yeah, you've got a really cool event coming up. I
- 1:30Speaker 1: love this. I spotted it a while back and we
- 1:34Speaker 1: talked about it a few weeks ago, the sky Trail
- 1:37Speaker 1: Adventure Challenge, and it's a it's unique. I think the
- 1:43Speaker 1: second year, I guess tell us about the event and
- 1:46Speaker 1: what inspired this.
- 1:49Speaker 4: So our Scout camp has a wall of climbing wall,
- 1:53Speaker 4: a zipline, and we have a little the creqrance there,
- 1:57Speaker 4: and so I know that not a lot of people
- 1:59Speaker 4: around here get the opportunity to zipline or climb a wall,
- 2:03Speaker 4: and I thought it'd be fun to open it to
- 2:06Speaker 4: the public so that they could come see what our
- 2:08Speaker 4: Scouts get to experience. And also a collaboration with SA
- 2:13Speaker 4: Hills because it starts at the state park we share
- 2:16Speaker 4: a boundary line with, right.
- 2:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I've been out there a few times for cob
- 2:23Speaker 1: Scout camping trips and things like that. I spent a
- 2:27Speaker 1: few nights out there in the grass. Yeah, that's a
- 2:31Speaker 1: lot of fun. But this event, tell us what does
- 2:35Speaker 1: it consists of. It's a really skytrail adventure challenge. It's
- 2:40Speaker 1: where does it start and how does this?
- 2:43Speaker 4: So it starts at s Hills by the bike trails
- 2:45Speaker 4: and you run the red trail goes straight into our camp.
- 2:49Speaker 4: It's about it's about two and a half miles and
- 2:52Speaker 4: then you'll climb our wall. It's just twenty four feet
- 2:54Speaker 4: so it's a small wall, and then you take the
- 2:58Speaker 4: stairs the rest of the way to the top of
- 2:59Speaker 4: our and you zip line down and then you'll run
- 3:02Speaker 4: over to the water and kayak a little ways and
- 3:06Speaker 4: turn around come back, and then you'll run back about
- 3:09Speaker 4: two and a half miles back to the park.
- 3:12Speaker 1: So how long does it take altogether?
- 3:14Speaker 4: You know, we had a guy finish it last year
- 3:16Speaker 4: in twenty five minutes or something.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Wow, so it's twenty five minutes.
- 3:25Speaker 3: So I think probably thirty thirty or forty five minutes.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Yeah, most people probably finish it under forty five minutes.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And last year you just had you know, a dozen
- 3:36Speaker 1: people or so, and this year you've got quite more
- 3:40Speaker 1: people expected, right.
- 3:42Speaker 3: We have seventy three right now.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, and still opportunity to get involved if you
- 3:50Speaker 1: if you're up to.
- 3:50Speaker 4: This challenge, right, Yeah, yeah, we're still accepting sign ups
- 3:55Speaker 4: until the twelve.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Are there prizes and things like that?
- 3:59Speaker 3: Or it is mostly just for fun.
- 4:02Speaker 4: We have one of my friends does leather working, so
- 4:04Speaker 4: she makes little key chains for the winners.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Okay, but that's yeah.
- 4:09Speaker 1: I know it's a fundraiser for the Boy Scouts and
- 4:14Speaker 1: it's such a neat event and and you know, so
- 4:17Speaker 1: you plan to keep doing this every year?
- 4:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that was the intent was.
- 4:22Speaker 4: It just seems like something fun for the community and
- 4:24Speaker 4: then they get to see our camp and.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Yeah, and what's the best way for people to sign
- 4:31Speaker 1: up if they are interested or get more information?
- 4:34Speaker 4: And so our website turkey bs a dot org, there's
- 4:38Speaker 4: a link there or just it's on run sign up
- 4:41Speaker 4: the sky Trail Adventure Challenges.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Yeah, if you Google or whatever search sky Trail Adventure Challenge,
- 4:48Speaker 1: it pops right up. Yeah, that's how I found it
- 4:52Speaker 1: this morning. But it's such a neat event, and I'm
- 4:54Speaker 1: glad you're here. I know there's always stuff going on
- 4:57Speaker 1: at the Boy Scouts and you guys have so many
- 5:00Speaker 1: different things you work on, from recycling to who knows
- 5:04Speaker 1: what else tell us more about what's what's going on.
- 5:08Speaker 4: Just overall, I love that you said recycling. That's my
- 5:12Speaker 4: little my little pet.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It is the cleanest, coolest recycling.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Is our ranger is so good. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:19Speaker 4: We we did the scorecard with Sustainability Alliance recently and
- 5:24Speaker 4: got a gold badge, which is the second highest, which
- 5:28Speaker 4: is just a lot of efforts we put into being
- 5:30Speaker 4: more green and environmentally friendly.
- 5:32Speaker 3: So we're really proud of that.
- 5:34Speaker 4: Popcorn sales are happening now and they're recruiting at schools.
- 5:38Speaker 4: So also on our website are snow Cone Nights that
- 5:42Speaker 4: they're doing in a couple more schools. They did Westside
- 5:44Speaker 4: already this week and they'll Phillip's in Robe, I think
- 5:51Speaker 4: this morning he's over Yeah, in.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Our other district.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Philip's always busy.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Yeah he is, and always smiling, smiling.
- 5:59Speaker 1: That is a fact. I think I've never seen him
- 6:01Speaker 1: not smiling. Yeah, that's that's cool. So it is such
- 6:07Speaker 1: a great boy Scout troops all the area here. It's
- 6:14Speaker 1: just really strong for so long and been so successful.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 4: Yeah, we have a lot of great volunteers and unit
- 6:21Speaker 4: leaders and yeah.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Yes, it's really cool and a lot of good stuff
- 6:26Speaker 1: going on there always, and you know you have people
- 6:29Speaker 1: that may not understand the recycling program. How does that work?
- 6:33Speaker 1: And if people want to help you with that, what
- 6:36Speaker 1: do they do?
- 6:36Speaker 4: Yeah, so we actually get credit for everything that people
- 6:40Speaker 4: recycle with us, which is great. We have cardboard, plastic
- 6:45Speaker 4: number one and two and thermoforms, aluminum and steel and
- 6:50Speaker 4: our recycling areas right by our office and it's open
- 6:54Speaker 4: all the time, so like there's drop offs.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah, do you prefer to be organized and separate the
- 7:01Speaker 1: very organized?
- 7:03Speaker 4: Yeah, cardboard box is broken down and nothing in plastic
- 7:07Speaker 4: bags loose in there.
- 7:09Speaker 1: Yeah, it's awesome stuff. And that's Sustainability Alliance. They were
- 7:16Speaker 1: on our show a few a couple of months ago
- 7:19Speaker 1: and they had mentioned your your program was atment. But
- 7:22Speaker 1: that's super cool that you got that honor. Really to
- 7:27Speaker 1: get that Ye, that badge of honor there, you know
- 7:30Speaker 1: that done just shares some of the not that particular one.
- 7:33Speaker 1: But we are the only lead certified UH dealership in
- 7:37Speaker 1: the state of Oklahoma. We got we are just base
- 7:40Speaker 1: level lead certified, but really proud of that and you know,
- 7:44Speaker 1: build our new Toyota dealership as a as a lead
- 7:48Speaker 1: program using local construction companies and developers who've never been
- 7:52Speaker 1: in a lead lead construction thing before, and and all
- 7:56Speaker 1: all that is is really just good using good building
- 7:59Speaker 1: practice and sustainable resources and as much you know, we
- 8:04Speaker 1: did geothermal heat and air and a lot of LED
- 8:07Speaker 1: and stuff like that. And you know, we've been looking
- 8:10Speaker 1: at at solar actually uh for a project maybe next
- 8:14Speaker 1: year or something where we have that big roof on
- 8:17Speaker 1: the body shop and on Toyota. And you know, we
- 8:20Speaker 1: looked at it before and but the payoff on that
- 8:25Speaker 1: it would be pretty short. Today I think it's gotten
- 8:29Speaker 1: more more. You know. Some of that is the tax
- 8:32Speaker 1: credits and stuff that come with those programs today, but
- 8:35Speaker 1: they certainly are good. We could potentially cover the entire
- 8:38Speaker 1: electric bill of both buildings and pay for itself in
- 8:42Speaker 1: under three years. It's really incredible neat deal. So we'll
- 8:48Speaker 1: be looking at that, always looking for new ways to
- 8:50Speaker 1: advance at at Dungeons and and keep things simple, as
- 8:54Speaker 1: we say, always looking to to do the right thing
- 8:58Speaker 1: for our customers and our community. And we next week
- 9:01Speaker 1: I won't be here. I'll be at the Toyota National
- 9:04Speaker 1: Dealer meeting or in car show, hopefully getting a lot
- 9:06Speaker 1: of good information from them, and I can bring back
- 9:09Speaker 1: to the show. We'll see I mean, I mean, if
- 9:12Speaker 1: there's time, I'll see if I can call in.
- 9:15Speaker 2: And comes back smiling from the things because he knows
- 9:19Speaker 2: something well.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Toyota does a great job at these things. They really
- 9:24Speaker 1: do a national meeting, so it's Ford often has done
- 9:28Speaker 1: it in waves where we come and we're in smaller
- 9:31Speaker 1: groups and it's kind of in and out and there
- 9:35Speaker 1: you go, and Toyota's got it over several days and
- 9:38Speaker 1: it's the whole nation and it's a really you know,
- 9:41Speaker 1: we see we hear from the very top of the
- 9:43Speaker 1: of the organization all the way down. We see a
- 9:46Speaker 1: great future product. We we hear about their plans all
- 9:50Speaker 1: all through uh you know that their organization, what's what's
- 9:54Speaker 1: coming and and then uh, you know, get to really
- 9:57Speaker 1: excited about what we're doing. That's a big part of it.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And and it's a fun party too. They have a
- 10:03Speaker 1: lot of great entertainment often and it is fun.
- 10:06Speaker 2: And they also get to see all the cool new
- 10:07Speaker 2: vehicles for anybody else.
- 10:09Speaker 1: Yeah, we're the people have been asking. There's rumors about
- 10:12Speaker 1: a smaller truck below under Tacoma which I should mention.
- 10:17Speaker 1: We have nine Tacomas in stock right now. That's that's
- 10:21Speaker 1: a lot, that's that's new and used all together. But
- 10:26Speaker 1: that's that's incredible. We've been I mentioned we were buying toyotas.
- 10:29Speaker 1: We have bought several used Tacomas in the last couple
- 10:33Speaker 1: of weeks several wrap fours those sold already, so we
- 10:36Speaker 1: bought a couple more. We're but if you have a
- 10:41Speaker 1: used Toyota you're looking to sell, be sure to take
- 10:43Speaker 1: it by and have Bruce take a look at it.
- 10:46Speaker 1: He's offering top dollar for those, and we certainly make
- 10:50Speaker 1: it simple for you to sell your car. I mentioned
- 10:54Speaker 1: also that the simple way we do business, and you
- 10:59Speaker 1: know that really is just about our noncommissioned sales team
- 11:01Speaker 1: and how they take care of our people with upfront
- 11:05Speaker 1: pricing and no hidden junk fees or add on. So
- 11:08Speaker 1: you know, we we'd like to help you validate our
- 11:10Speaker 1: pricing with third parties. You know, you always go and
- 11:14Speaker 1: check price on on us, and we will help you
- 11:17Speaker 1: make sure that you're getting a great deal. We do.
- 11:20Speaker 1: We have really competitive interest rates and make sure that
- 11:24Speaker 1: you know we work. We have we have typically you
- 11:26Speaker 1: know the same price online, on the lot, on the phone.
- 11:30Speaker 1: You know, it's not going to change when when you
- 11:32Speaker 1: get there or anything. So really important to remember the
- 11:38Speaker 1: shop at Dungeus, we do it different and that is
- 11:41Speaker 1: the dealer that makes the difference. So there you go.
- 11:45Speaker 1: So Tiffany, if you're from around here too, you grew
- 11:49Speaker 1: up in Bartlesville, I believe, and tell us about how
- 11:54Speaker 1: you ended up working at the Scouts. That's such a
- 11:56Speaker 1: neat organization.
- 11:58Speaker 4: You know, it is like a girl Scout And my
- 12:01Speaker 4: brother was in boy Scouts and my dad.
- 12:03Speaker 3: Is very heavily involved in scouting still.
- 12:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and he heard of this opening and so I
- 12:10Speaker 4: got to interview with the best boss that anyone could
- 12:13Speaker 4: ever have. And so that's been about four or five
- 12:17Speaker 4: years ago.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah, that's really great. Yeah, yeah, I was back early
- 12:22Speaker 1: in my career. I was a development coordinator for the
- 12:25Speaker 1: Nature Conservancy and that, you know, fundraising and working in
- 12:29Speaker 1: the nonprofit world is such a great thing to really
- 12:35Speaker 1: care about what you do, and yeah, really focus your
- 12:38Speaker 1: passion one in your case, on people's helping them learn
- 12:43Speaker 1: and develop into great adults.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yes, and fantastic.
- 12:48Speaker 1: And we you know, I mentioned the strength of our
- 12:51Speaker 1: area of troops and you know, I know we've always
- 12:53Speaker 1: had a bunch of Eagle Scouts and all kinds of troops.
- 12:58Speaker 1: You know, if people you mentioned your recruiting now and
- 13:01Speaker 1: getting people involved, you know what tell us about scouting
- 13:06Speaker 1: and just I know, I know enough to be dangerous.
- 13:10Speaker 3: You're you and me both. Yeah, so I.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Mean it starts at Cub Scouts or we blows, then
- 13:16Speaker 1: then Boy Scouts, and I assume that's still kind of
- 13:19Speaker 1: how it is.
- 13:20Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:22Speaker 4: Cub Scouts is the younger kids in elementary school, and
- 13:24Speaker 4: then you move up to Scouts BSA now or Scouting
- 13:28Speaker 4: America is what it will soon be.
- 13:31Speaker 1: And it's boys and girls.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Correct, yes, yeah, so the younger kids are impacts together
- 13:37Speaker 4: and then when you get to troops as older kids,
- 13:40Speaker 4: they have boy troops and girl troops. Okay, so they're
- 13:44Speaker 4: they're separate there, but it's a mentoring program. It's a
- 13:51Speaker 4: they developing leadership skills. So when you get in the troops,
- 13:55Speaker 4: especially the youth run everything right and the mentors where
- 14:00Speaker 4: they're just as mentors and so it's great for building
- 14:04Speaker 4: character and leadership skills and learning about society and citizenship.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, and you don't have to start at the beginning.
- 14:12Speaker 3: Oh no, no, you can start anytime. Yeah.
- 14:14Speaker 1: So that's I think a lot Sometimes people might think like, well,
- 14:17Speaker 1: I miss to start this earlier, but you can really
- 14:22Speaker 1: kind of enter whenever you want.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:24Speaker 1: Absolutely, And there are really great truths or packs around here.
- 14:30Speaker 1: I guess yeah.
- 14:31Speaker 4: There, yes, pack Yeah, yeah, we have a lot around here.
- 14:35Speaker 1: How many are there? Do you know? Or how many
- 14:38Speaker 1: scouts are there in our area?
- 14:41Speaker 4: How many packs we have somewhere in the forty forties
- 14:47Speaker 4: range filips these numbers better.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Than so hundreds of kids for sure involved and all
- 14:53Speaker 1: out there. Yeah, excellent. Well, and I want to let's
- 14:58Speaker 1: talk about your event coming up. I don't think we
- 15:01Speaker 1: mentioned the date.
- 15:03Speaker 3: Oh right, you're right.
- 15:04Speaker 1: So Skytrail Adventure.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Challenge September fourteenth.
- 15:07Speaker 1: September fourteenth. It starts in the morning. I get at
- 15:11Speaker 1: about eight o'clock.
- 15:12Speaker 3: Yeah, and.
- 15:14Speaker 1: You're tell again what you expect people to be able
- 15:18Speaker 1: to do?
- 15:18Speaker 4: Yeah, right, So run or walk if you want through
- 15:23Speaker 4: the trail. And then you're climbing a tower, you're ziplining,
- 15:27Speaker 4: you're kayaking, and you're running back.
- 15:30Speaker 1: And you can get information on this. A short video
- 15:33Speaker 1: that shows some of it on your website. Yeah, lots
- 15:37Speaker 1: of great information there and a chance and a chance
- 15:39Speaker 1: to sign up. It is one hundred dollars to enter
- 15:42Speaker 1: at this point, right, and they're over seventy brave souls
- 15:46Speaker 1: that have entered this event.
- 15:49Speaker 3: From all over Oklahoma. We have people from thirty five
- 15:53Speaker 3: different cities now.
- 15:54Speaker 4: In Oklahoma, like far away. I'm excited.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Well, it's a unique event. Yeah, I don't know many
- 16:01Speaker 1: others like this that really tie it together. And it's
- 16:04Speaker 1: neat that you're bringing the camp mc clinic and the
- 16:08Speaker 1: state park together and helping letting the public kind of
- 16:12Speaker 1: see what's going on at the camp. Yes. Yeah, it
- 16:15Speaker 1: is such a neat area. If people don't know, it's
- 16:17Speaker 1: just just to the east of the State Park Viage Hills,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and it is a great resource for the Scouts around here.
- 16:27Speaker 1: And to have such a camp here that goes back
- 16:30Speaker 1: so long.
- 16:30Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's beautiful.
- 16:32Speaker 4: Arranger keeps it as clean as he keeps our recycling
- 16:34Speaker 4: area tiny organized.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:37Speaker 1: And if people want to find out about this, either
- 16:42Speaker 1: the event or the recycling program, how do they do that?
- 16:46Speaker 1: What's the best way to find out?
- 16:49Speaker 4: Cherokee bsa dot org have our recycling program on there,
- 16:53Speaker 4: and there's a link to sign up for this race
- 16:56Speaker 4: on there as well.
- 16:57Speaker 3: Yeah, or you can come in and see us.
- 16:59Speaker 1: Yeah, drop by awesome. And where are you located?
- 17:03Speaker 4: You mentioned that before, but where's the headquarters on the
- 17:09Speaker 4: street down by the.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Light on the on the at the intersection with Adams,
- 17:15Speaker 1: Adams and Kapa. So I'll be driving right by there
- 17:19Speaker 1: on my way back to the dealership and just to
- 17:21Speaker 1: say so anyway, that's uh, that's great to hear about
- 17:26Speaker 1: that event and what's going on there. I mentioned a
- 17:28Speaker 1: few of the great deals going on right now out
- 17:31Speaker 1: at the dealership. There are some neat things that we've
- 17:35Speaker 1: got going They just announced on the the manufacturers have
- 17:40Speaker 1: all their new incentives out right, so they've got interest
- 17:43Speaker 1: rate deals, new rebates. Combined with that, there's some things
- 17:47Speaker 1: on the edge Escape Explore. Those things have great interest
- 17:53Speaker 1: rate and big rebates that have just been announced, so
- 17:56Speaker 1: you can check all that out on our website. We've
- 17:58Speaker 1: got a good inventory of all those vehicles. There's some
- 18:01Speaker 1: great pricing too on Tundra this month. We've got interest
- 18:05Speaker 1: rate specials, really great leases right now and a lot
- 18:09Speaker 1: of the vehicles we've done more. We have done more
- 18:13Speaker 1: and more leasing in the last couple of months and
- 18:16Speaker 1: what we're you know, higher interest rates have certainly put
- 18:19Speaker 1: some pressure on people to look for different ways to
- 18:22Speaker 1: keep their payment lower, and leasing is an option. It
- 18:26Speaker 1: also some people have been able to take advantage of
- 18:30Speaker 1: the lease to help them get out of an equity position.
- 18:34Speaker 1: So if you do have something that where you owe
- 18:37Speaker 1: more than it's worth, a lease is a way to
- 18:40Speaker 1: you know, you've got to be able to finance that
- 18:43Speaker 1: into it. But once you get done with your lease,
- 18:45Speaker 1: you don't have the equity problem because you can the
- 18:49Speaker 1: vehicle goes back to the manufacturer and you don't have
- 18:51Speaker 1: any issues with the ownership of that vehicle. You have
- 18:55Speaker 1: choice if you want to keep it, you can. But
- 18:57Speaker 1: essentially with the lease, you're buying part of vehicle miles
- 19:03Speaker 1: and it comes it needs to come back in a
- 19:05Speaker 1: certain condition, but you know, not like new, but just
- 19:08Speaker 1: average wear and tear. It's fine. So say you buy,
- 19:12Speaker 1: you get buy three years and fifteen thousand miles a year,
- 19:15Speaker 1: so you bring it back of forty five thousand miles
- 19:17Speaker 1: three years later. You can make the choice of do
- 19:20Speaker 1: I want to buy it for the preset and determined
- 19:23Speaker 1: at the beginning price, or just potentially buy a new
- 19:28Speaker 1: new one, or or walk away all together. And maybe
- 19:33Speaker 1: you don't need a people, I don't know, but you
- 19:36Speaker 1: can also do great one pay leases. This is where
- 19:41Speaker 1: you actually pay for it all at once. There's some
- 19:44Speaker 1: incredible value in that. People often, you know, we see
- 19:48Speaker 1: a lot of people who want to may have cash
- 19:51Speaker 1: and just want to buy the vehicle, and that's great,
- 19:54Speaker 1: of course, but looking at it another way, you can
- 19:57Speaker 1: buy a vehicle that might cost say twenty three thousand
- 20:00Speaker 1: dollars on a I'm looking at a camera at twenty
- 20:03Speaker 1: five Camra Lee that's got a cost of about thirty
- 20:08Speaker 1: four hundred a MSRP, and you can buy it for
- 20:11Speaker 1: twenty four months and twelve thousand miles a year for
- 20:14Speaker 1: just under twelve thousand dollars. So that's if you break
- 20:18Speaker 1: that down by month, that's a pretty pretty good value
- 20:21Speaker 1: and certainly a good way to think about it. I
- 20:25Speaker 1: mentioned the lower payments on traditional leases. Toyota has several
- 20:30Speaker 1: great deals this month Coroa at two twenty nine, a
- 20:33Speaker 1: month Camera at two ninety nine, RAB four at three
- 20:37Speaker 1: twenty nine. I mentioned the Tundras and Tacomas. They really
- 20:42Speaker 1: lease swell. These are four x two's, and it's always
- 20:45Speaker 1: a specific model on these examples I'm giving. It may
- 20:48Speaker 1: be a little different depending on the vehicle you choose
- 20:51Speaker 1: in the different trim levels and options that are on them.
- 20:55Speaker 1: But you have payments on a Tacoma at four x
- 20:58Speaker 1: two double cab around two sixty nine a month for
- 21:02Speaker 1: thirty six months. You need about four thousand dollars at signing,
- 21:07Speaker 1: but that's a really great low payment. So you can
- 21:11Speaker 1: check all that out on our website too. You can
- 21:13Speaker 1: go and pick your vehicle and actually work your own deal.
- 21:17Speaker 1: It'll go in there and compare lease to a traditional
- 21:20Speaker 1: finance deal. The all the all the rebates and discounts
- 21:26Speaker 1: are in there. There's clear pricing, and you can just
- 21:29Speaker 1: go in there just like the sales manager does when
- 21:31Speaker 1: you come into the dealership and calculate your payment and
- 21:34Speaker 1: kind of work your own deal. It's it's pretty cool.
- 21:37Speaker 1: We're getting ready to deploy some new technology with the
- 21:41Speaker 1: sales team. They'll be able to actually do that with
- 21:46Speaker 1: you on the showroom floor. Cool, and you know it's
- 21:50Speaker 1: going to allow them to have a lot more flexibility,
- 21:53Speaker 1: less of the up and back and forth between the
- 21:56Speaker 1: salesman and the manager. It's really going to speed up
- 22:00Speaker 1: car deal even more, I think, and it's already half
- 22:03Speaker 1: make it more transparent, trying to keep it simple, but
- 22:07Speaker 1: also use this great new technology we have these days,
- 22:11Speaker 1: and definitely, uh you know, got to keep changing, looking
- 22:15Speaker 1: for new ways to to evolve and change our processes
- 22:19Speaker 1: selling cars. That's going to make the experience all the
- 22:21Speaker 1: more better, I hope. So, yeah, no, that's our goal.
- 22:24Speaker 1: We are always looking to help, you know, we know,
- 22:26Speaker 1: we know we're not perfect everybody, you know, everybody makes mistakes.
- 22:29Speaker 1: It's how we respond to those issues, you know. That
- 22:32Speaker 1: I think really separates Dunge just and always trying to
- 22:35Speaker 1: get better at what we do. And every day everybody
- 22:39Speaker 1: is getting better all the time. So I mentioned I'll
- 22:44Speaker 1: be at the Toyota National Dealer meeting next week. I
- 22:47Speaker 1: think Jason will probably be here. He's got Kevin Connor
- 22:51Speaker 1: coming to talk about the Bartlesville Regional fly in, which
- 22:53Speaker 1: is another is a great event if people haven't been
- 22:58Speaker 1: to one. I used to go to them all the time.
- 23:00Speaker 1: I'm our good old friend Charlie Harris was a really
- 23:03Speaker 1: good friend of my uncle Bob's and they work together
- 23:06Speaker 1: in a business relationship through Charlie's Leasing company and Tulsa
- 23:11Speaker 1: for a long time. But Charlie was the one who
- 23:14Speaker 1: the vision behind the fly in for decades. And you know,
- 23:17Speaker 1: so this is one that we've you know, while we
- 23:21Speaker 1: you know, it's not something that needs me to make
- 23:25Speaker 1: it happen. That's a great show and it's a really
- 23:28Speaker 1: effent going on for a long time. So well, you'll
- 23:31Speaker 1: learn more about that coming up next week at car Talk.
- 23:35Speaker 1: And if you want to check out information on the
- 23:39Speaker 1: Skytrail Adventure Challenge, go ahead and mention again Tiffany, what's
- 23:43Speaker 1: involved here and when it is?
- 23:46Speaker 3: All right? So it's September fourteenth. It starts at eight
- 23:49Speaker 3: a m.
- 23:49Speaker 4: We are doing it in groups so that we don't
- 23:53Speaker 4: get stuck at the climbing wall because that'll be a
- 23:55Speaker 4: slow point.
- 23:56Speaker 3: So we are.
- 23:58Speaker 4: Staggering the start and it's a run from most hills
- 24:02Speaker 4: into our camp and then climbing our towers and planing
- 24:06Speaker 4: down across the water and then you'll get on that
- 24:09Speaker 4: same water and kayak and come back and run back
- 24:12Speaker 4: to the state park.
- 24:15Speaker 1: So you supply them the kayak and all that.
- 24:18Speaker 3: Yeah, safety equipment, all all included.
- 24:20Speaker 1: We have all of that show up with one hundred
- 24:22Speaker 1: bucks and a strong will.
- 24:25Speaker 4: Yeah and strong curve like yeah, yeah, it's the it's
- 24:30Speaker 4: running the climbing wall.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Then you're on to the zip line and then in
- 24:34Speaker 1: the water and the kayak and then run in another
- 24:37Speaker 1: couple of miles back to the camp.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Wow.
- 24:40Speaker 1: Yeah, it'll be very exciting. It's uh you wait to
- 24:43Speaker 1: see that. And nearly one hundred people already signed up
- 24:47Speaker 1: right yeah, yeah, we're thrilled. Well, thank you for coming
- 24:51Speaker 1: to help share the news on that event and everything
- 24:55Speaker 1: else going on with the Cherokee area of Scouts. And
- 24:59Speaker 1: un tell everybody there keep up the good work and
- 25:03Speaker 1: I hope, I know you'll get a lot of new
- 25:07Speaker 1: people entering the Scouts program this year and a lot
- 25:10Speaker 1: exiting moving on like it is all the time. Yeah,
- 25:13Speaker 1: it's such a great process we go through every year.
