- 0:38Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 231.
- 0:41Sean McAllister: Sean McAllister and Dana Roselli here with you from the entertainment capital of the world.
- 0:47Dayna Roselli: Yes, we love it.
- 0:48Dayna Roselli: Hey, thanks to our subscribers, as always, and thanks to Level Up Law, our title sponsor, and Vegas Near Me.
- 0:55Dayna Roselli: Make sure you download the app.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: Hey, we're gonna kick off with actually a lot of restaurant news.
- 1:00Dayna Roselli: Just some things that are closing and opening, and we've got, you know, just some of the best chefs in town.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: And we have a new one coming to town, and then we have a staple opening another restaurant.
- 1:12Dayna Roselli: So let's start with the new.
- 1:14Dayna Roselli: Uh people love Lakeside at the Wynn because it sits right there on the Lake of Dreams, you know.
- 1:20Sean McAllister: Which is like a almost a hidden gem of Las Vegas.
- 1:23Dayna Roselli: It really is.
- 1:24Dayna Roselli: An SW steakhouse is on one side.
- 1:27Dayna Roselli: In the middle is just the patio with the cocktails, the aft lounge.
- 1:31Dayna Roselli: And then Lakeside.
- 1:32Dayna Roselli: Well, Lakeside uh closed in mid-July, and they are putting a new restaurant in there.
- 1:38Dayna Roselli: And so we're gonna have to bear with not having anything there for a while.
- 1:41Dayna Roselli: But we did get details about this new Mediterranean seafood restaurant that's coming in from James Beard and Michelin awarded chef Fabio Trebosci.
- 1:54Sean McAllister: The restaurant is called Fiola Mare.
- 1:57Sean McAllister: Um, it's going to have seafood from the east and west coasts of the United States, along with uh seafood that is sourced from the Mediterranean itself.
- 2:09Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that should be good.
- 2:10Dayna Roselli: Uh Chef says that he moved to the US in 2000 from Italy, and it's been a dream of his to have a restaurant in Las Vegas.
- 2:18Dayna Roselli: So he's doing it.
- 2:19Dayna Roselli: It's gonna open, as I said, where Lakeside Restaurant now sits um and sometime in 2025.
- 2:25Dayna Roselli: So we'll learn more as details come along, but good to know.
- 2:30Dayna Roselli: We'll have a fresh face and a fresh chef and a fresh restaurant right there on the Lake of Dreams.
- 2:36Sean McAllister: Love that.
- 2:37Sean McAllister: Uh another acclaimed chef is Jose Andres.
- 2:40Sean McAllister: He has uh Bazaar Meet over at Sahara, and he's opening a new restaurant at uh the Crystals shops over there attached to Aria.
- 2:50Dayna Roselli: This is called Bazaar Mar, and this is his fifth Las Vegas restaurant, so that's pretty exciting.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: It is.
- 2:57Sean McAllister: Jose Andres does uh such incredible humanitarian work around the world as well.
- 3:02Sean McAllister: So i it is nice to support uh the restaurants that he has here in Las Vegas because that in turn helps support everything that he does for people who really need it.
- 3:12Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's such a good point.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: Hey, Eataly over at Park MGM uh is debuting a series of renovations, including a new Italy concept.
- 3:23Dayna Roselli: Um, it's kind of a revamped look, and you have to go over there to check it out.
- 3:28Dayna Roselli: You know, Eataly is is a popular place over there at Park MGM.
- 3:31Dayna Roselli: You can kind of go up and you know, you can get a slice of pizza, you can get some amazing cheeses, you can get a glass of wine, and you don't have to just sit in one restaurant.
- 3:40Dayna Roselli: You can pop around.
- 3:41Sean McAllister: There's different st uh stations or kiosks, I guess.
- 3:45Sean McAllister: Um there's a a meat, a meat station, a pasta station, a seafood station.
- 3:51Sean McAllister: It's one of my uh favorite places to go before a show over at uh Park MGM.
- 3:57Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 3:58Sean McAllister: Before uh going to a see something Adolby Live.
- 4:00Sean McAllister: I always pop in there and I've never had a bad meal.
- 4:05Dayna Roselli: And you and you it just FYI, some of the wines can be more pricey, but you gotta search around.
- 4:10Dayna Roselli: If you're not, if you're like, I don't want to go spend that much on a glass of wine, because they have some really good wines there.
- 4:17Sean McAllister: They just straight from Italy.
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 4:18Dayna Roselli: So I mean there's some good stuff.
- 4:20Dayna Roselli: So, you know, search around because there are a lot of options as well.
- 4:24Dayna Roselli: So if everyone's like, it's too expensive for me.
- 4:25Dayna Roselli: I've had people say that.
- 4:26Dayna Roselli: It's like, no, you gotta go over to this area, this station, you know, and they have more, you know, middle of the road.
- 4:32Dayna Roselli: And so, um, but if you're into that stuff, into really good wines from Italy, go there.
- 4:36Dayna Roselli: And they have all sorts of different uh desserts and cheeses you can actually buy and take home with you.
- 4:42Dayna Roselli: So it's a cool spot.
- 4:44Dayna Roselli: Glad that they're keeping it fresh, changing up some of the concepts over there.
- 4:47Dayna Roselli: So go check that out.
- 4:49Sean McAllister: Hey, uh drone shows are kind of becoming the the new attraction.
- 4:55Sean McAllister: And I like them.
- 4:56Sean McAllister: Uh they're fun.
- 4:57Sean McAllister: And they're they've just launched one over at Atomic Golf.
- 5:01Sean McAllister: This is the big golf complex that was built uh just to the north side of the stratosphere of the strat.
- 5:10Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah, they'll yell at you if you call it the stratosphere.
- 5:12Sean McAllister: It's the strat.
- 5:13Dayna Roselli: The owner, remember, yelled at me one time.
- 5:14Dayna Roselli: He said it's the strat.
- 5:16Dayna Roselli: I'm like, okay.
- 5:17Sean McAllister: It is.
- 5:18Sean McAllister: Strat.
- 5:19Sean McAllister: I have to get that through my head.
- 5:21Sean McAllister: Okay, so um, yeah, they're doing this drone show.
- 5:24Sean McAllister: On July 18th, they launched it.
- 5:27Sean McAllister: Every Thursday night is a free drone show over there at Atomic Gulf.
- 5:33Sean McAllister: They're doing it two times uh every Thursday at 9 p.m.
- 5:38Sean McAllister: and then again at 11 p.m.
- 5:40Sean McAllister: Admission is free, but you can, especially as we head into the fall months, it'll be nice to get outside and swing some clubs and watch that drone show.
- 5:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you can secure your spot by making a bay reservation if you want to go there and actually, you know, play.
- 5:54Dayna Roselli: But um to see it, you know, the show, it's free.
- 5:57Dayna Roselli: And I love it late night, 11 p.m.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: That's pretty cool, huh?
- 6:01Dayna Roselli: I wonder if I can see it from my patio.
- 6:03Dayna Roselli: Hmm.
- 6:04Dayna Roselli: Well, no, I could probably see it from my parking garage.
- 6:06Sean McAllister: From the parking garage, yeah.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: I'm excited for that.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: Hey, did you know, Sean?
- 6:11Dayna Roselli: Okay, which I know you know the answer to this because we did this interview together, but I'm just like feel like I need to ask you this.
- 6:17Sean McAllister: Maybe I'll play dumb.
- 6:19Dayna Roselli: Did you know the Venetian Resort Las Vegas is the largest hotel in North America?
- 6:23Sean McAllister: Are you kidding me?
- 6:24Sean McAllister: That was I had no idea.
- 6:26Dayna Roselli: Well, we actually didn't.
- 6:28Sean McAllister: Not at the time.
- 6:29Dayna Roselli: And that's the thing.
- 6:30Dayna Roselli: So we felt like, you know what?
- 6:32Dayna Roselli: I even got onto Google.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: I'm like, could it be?
- 6:34Dayna Roselli: I'm like, it is.
- 6:35Dayna Roselli: Um, you know, and they just celebrated 25 years with a bunch of events and specials.
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: But we were over there talking to Marcy Miles, who's the chief marketing officer, and we learned so much from her that we're like, we need to share this interview.
- 6:48Dayna Roselli: We actually were gonna just talk to her about a couple things, and then we kept going on and on, like, hey, can you tell us some fun facts?
- 6:53Dayna Roselli: And that's where it turned into this whole thing.
- 6:55Sean McAllister: Right.
- 6:57Dayna Roselli: But yeah, it is the largest hotel in North America, straight from Marcy's mouth.
- 7:02Dayna Roselli: Um, so let's roll that interview.
- 7:05SPEAKER_00: 25 years on the strip, and when the Venetian came on, it changed the game in Las Vegas.
- 7:11SPEAKER_00: It was the only resort that was all suites.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: 25 years later, it still is the only all-suite resort.
- 7:18SPEAKER_00: And so, as part of moving forward, we are looking at what is that master plan, how are we continuing this amazing journey?
- 7:26SPEAKER_00: And we are renovating our 4,000 Venetian suites.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: They're absolutely beautiful.
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: We're staying true to our Venetian and our Venice DNA, but with a modern flare.
- 7:38SPEAKER_00: So beautiful rooms are coming on, they're over 700 square feet.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: And then we're also, we when we came on the strip 25 years ago, we changed the way people did business in Las Vegas with our convention center.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: And this year we've announced that we're actually we announced it last year, we are now this year going to renovate the convention space and a beautiful new color palette, great digital.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: So once again, Venetian leading the way in meetings on the strip.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: And it doesn't end there because you know there's just so much space and so much to do.
- 8:09SPEAKER_00: From a casino standpoint, we have two casino floors, the Palazzo and the Venetian.
- 8:14SPEAKER_00: We are, we just opened the high limits at the Palazzo.
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: We have a brand new poker room coming on.
- 8:21SPEAKER_00: We just launched Venetian Rewards, the most rewarding loyalty program on the strip.
- 8:26SPEAKER_00: And right before football season last year, we opened Yahoo's sports book and powered by William Help.
- 8:31SPEAKER_00: So first in class sports book.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: So it's pretty incredible.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: I can go on.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: Um, from an entertainment perspective, as you know, I mean, the the face of entertainment changed with spirit elimination, but that's on a grand scale, and it's incredible, one-of-a-kind experience.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: But also on an intimate scale, we opened Voltaire, which is a really special theater where you can see amazing talent.
- 8:56Dayna Roselli: I mean, it's a beautiful day.
- 8:58Dayna Roselli: It's Voltaire.
- 8:59Dayna Roselli: I mean, it really is gorgeous.
- 9:00Dayna Roselli: I was just thinking, like 24 hours a day, seven days a week, this is constantly running.
- 9:05Dayna Roselli: There has to be just kind of some fun fanacs that people should.
- 9:08SPEAKER_00: There's never a time when this actually may be around 4 a.m.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: Sometimes it's closed down.
- 9:12SPEAKER_00: But it's always busy.
- 9:13SPEAKER_00: We're 71 over 7,100 suites.
- 9:16SPEAKER_00: So we are the largest resort in North America, one of the largest in the world.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: And to do that, because our goal is really to provide the service level of a 100-suite hotel.
- 9:27SPEAKER_00: So that really takes effort, and what it takes is a lot of team members.
- 9:31SPEAKER_00: We have over 8,000 team members.
- 9:34SPEAKER_00: Over 400 have been with us since day one.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: And we always say the people make the place.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: So it's also what you may not know, is there's like a whole city underneath us.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: And in that city, we have daycare, we have gyms, we have two team member dining rooms, so we have a wellness center where you can get five financial and health counseling.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: So all types of things are going down under underneath us.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: And then also, because we are the largest convention center, here's a fact we create our chefs over 3.5 million meals a year.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: The kitchens here are unbelievable.
- 10:12SPEAKER_00: The sous Vs are just like you really should do a tour someday.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: And the beautiful thing about that is not only are we doing amazing culinary for our guests and our convention, when we've created a program that allows us to get that food into the community when it's left over.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: And we heard you were honored by the White House, right?
- 10:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: So it's pretty incredible working with the Just One project.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: It's the first of its kind program.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Since its launch, we've been able to get 20,000 more meals into the community than previously.
- 10:44SPEAKER_00: So it's and and the great thing is with this, it's it's something that other companies can then mirror and then hopefully help us with food insecurity throughout the country.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: And I love that you guys, you know, obviously it is an Italy theme, the Venice theme, and I love that because some resorts that have opened recently have like thrown the theme out the window, but I feel like it's Vegas, baby.
- 11:04Dayna Roselli: You gotta have a theme.
- 11:05SPEAKER_00: You know, we embrace our theme.
- 11:07SPEAKER_00: Our guests love it.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: It allows us, we are the only resort on this trip with gondolas, St.
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Mark's Square.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: It allows you to let yourself go, but at the same time, we're still able to continue to evolve with the entertainment, the dining.
- 11:21SPEAKER_00: Another little fun fact: we have over 400,000 square feet of unused space, or what we call gray space at the Venetian, which you wouldn't know from looking at it.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: You would think it's all activated.
- 11:32SPEAKER_00: And so we have the largest collection of restaurants on the strip.
- 11:36SPEAKER_00: And as part of our reinvestment plan, we are going to be adding more.
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: So even more restaurants are coming on so that everybody, once you're here, you don't have to go anywhere else.
- 11:46Dayna Roselli: And you heard Marcy just talking about uh the sphere.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: Well, they just announced their plans for New Year's Eve.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: Because actually, you and I were just talking today as we were walking out of the Mirage.
- 11:56Dayna Roselli: Or no, maybe we were doing something else.
- 11:58Dayna Roselli: Anyway, we were talking about it was like, hey, isn't it weird it's gonna be 2025?
- 12:02Sean McAllister: I know.
- 12:03Dayna Roselli: I remember getting my two year 2000 glasses, it was such a big deal.
- 12:09Dayna Roselli: Remember those?
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I know they have them for every year now, but I don't know.
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: The 2000 ones were really special.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: Well, that was like Y2K.
- 12:17Sean McAllister: Everyone was wondering if the world was gonna shut down, if they'd be able to go back to work on Monday and have their computer turn on.
- 12:24Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 12:24Sean McAllister: There were so many unanswered questions, and everything went on just fine.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: Just fine.
- 12:29Dayna Roselli: I remember I was live.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: I was working for an NBC in Elmira, New York, a very small town, market 172, according to the demos or the rating system.
- 12:38Dayna Roselli: And uh I it was, yeah, I remember it was a big deal.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: They're like, we've got to do, you know, live shots all night.
- 12:43Dayna Roselli: And so I went to some dance thing, and I remember people were dancing, and everything went off just fine.
- 12:49Sean McAllister: But yeah, so it is gonna be 2025 as we ring in a new year uh on December 31st, and Sphere has just announced its uh programming for the night.
- 13:00Dayna Roselli: They announced uh one show on New Year's Eve, and since then they've already announced two more.
- 13:06Dayna Roselli: Um, sometimes we record these a few days early.
- 13:09Dayna Roselli: If something else is announced, there could be more.
- 13:11Dayna Roselli: So, but for now it's December 29th and 30th and the 31st, and I guess we'll we'll stop keeping you on edge.
- 13:19Dayna Roselli: Afterlife is presenting Anima, the end of Genesis, live at Sphere.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: And apparently, Sean, this is kind of like an intersection between art, technology, music.
- 13:33Dayna Roselli: And I actually did see a lot of people on some of the Sphere Facebook groups excited about this, and some different groups that follow kind of that electronic dance music.
- 13:43Dayna Roselli: Right going, we need to get our tickets, and then boom, it was like the next day they announced two more shows because there's been overwhelming demand.
- 13:50Dayna Roselli: But I mean, could you think of a better place for kind of an EDM?
- 13:55Dayna Roselli: Oh my gosh, you know, technology, music, art kind of feel celebration?
- 14:01Dayna Roselli: No.
- 14:01Sean McAllister: The possibilities, I mean, just visually, creatively, the possibilities there are just so wide-ranging.
- 14:08Sean McAllister: And uh having, I mean, this is the first kind of EDM style artist that Sphere has has hosted inside that arena.
- 14:19Sean McAllister: We've had other, you know, more traditional bands playing.
- 14:23Sean McAllister: Um, but I think this will really highlight a different side of what uh Sphere can offer to its audiences.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: Right, right.
- 14:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and you know, they're saying it's the first electronic music act at Sphere.
- 14:37Dayna Roselli: Um, so it should be really cool.
- 14:40Dayna Roselli: Here's the website.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: It's after.life and then backslash sphere Las Vegas.
- 14:47Dayna Roselli: Tickets are on sale.
- 14:49Dayna Roselli: Uh, like I said, it's the 29th, 30th, and 31st.
- 14:52Dayna Roselli: Could be more shows announced after that.
- 14:54Dayna Roselli: We aren't sure, but for now, get your tickets.
- 14:56Dayna Roselli: That sounds like an incredible experience to ring in 2025.
- 15:01Sean McAllister: All right, let's get a quick message from our title sponsor uh Level Up Law.
- 15:05Dayna Roselli: And then after that, we'll do some tips.
- 15:07SPEAKER_01: Level Up Law is looking to help you.
- 15:10SPEAKER_01: You might have heard about the recent lawsuits surrounding Ozempic.
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: It's concerning, right?
- 15:15SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately, a lot of people have been experiencing some serious issues from taking semaglutide or terzepatides, including severe vomiting, hospitalization, pancreatic issues.
- 15:26SPEAKER_01: The list goes on and on.
- 15:27SPEAKER_01: If you've experienced any of this, you are not alone.
- 15:30SPEAKER_01: And here's the thing Level Up Law is here to help.
- 15:34SPEAKER_01: We already have a team of lawyers researching this issue and preparing to help those who need it.
- 15:40SPEAKER_01: Don't hesitate to reach out to our team if a doctor prescribed you these drugs and you're experiencing issues.
- 15:45SPEAKER_01: Give us a call at 855-LevelUp.
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: That's 855 LevelUp, and we will answer your questions.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: Remember, you're not alone.
- 15:55SPEAKER_01: Level Up Law has got your back.
- 16:01Sean McAllister: Right, let's dive right into our tips.
- 16:04Sean McAllister: And we're starting with a great place for live music, and there's a variety of live music.
- 16:10Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I just, you know, I even just thought, like, let's just mention this as a reminder that the Fountain Blue actually has a a long list of spots and live music sets throughout the property.
- 16:24Dayna Roselli: And I was looking at it, going through everything, and I was like, you know, people always do ask us about live music, live lounge music.
- 16:31Dayna Roselli: And so I know you and I had talked about Nowhere Lounge before.
- 16:34Dayna Roselli: They have a great, you know, list of live music.
- 16:36Dayna Roselli: Um, and then their other lounge there called Collins.
- 16:40Sean McAllister: Uh Collins, yeah, which is right off the lobby.
- 16:42Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they have set.
- 16:44Dayna Roselli: So anyway, I it's kind of just put it in your mind if you're looking to go like have some drinks and and listen to live music.
- 16:51Dayna Roselli: Uh go over to the Fountain Blue and explore some of their lounges.
- 16:54Sean McAllister: Also, we wanted to mention uh a new restaurant opened up on Paradise Road.
- 16:59Sean McAllister: This is just off of the Las Vegas strip.
- 17:02Sean McAllister: It's called Bramare.
- 17:04Sean McAllister: Uh, it's an Italian restaurant.
- 17:06Sean McAllister: It's by the same owners as Piero's, which is a classic Italian restaurant that's been around for decades here in Las Vegas.
- 17:15Dayna Roselli: Yeah, I mean, what?
- 17:16Dayna Roselli: We just went and well, did I say we just adjust?
- 17:19Sean McAllister: It was a few years ago years ago now.
- 17:21Dayna Roselli: That was their 40th anniversary, right?
- 17:22Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 17:23Dayna Roselli: So, you know, open longer than the Mirage.
- 17:25Dayna Roselli: Now we're gonna always use that as, you know.
- 17:28Dayna Roselli: Um, but yeah, um, and so it's it's it's kind of their more modern twist on Italian, and in and it's great plaza.
- 17:35Dayna Roselli: I go over there and get my nails done um all the time.
- 17:38Dayna Roselli: So I've been watching them open different things over there.
- 17:41Dayna Roselli: They opened a restaurant also on the corner.
- 17:43Dayna Roselli: Um, the same people as Cleaver, which is a steak restaurant, uh, opened a place called Middle Child, which is open for breakfast and lunch in that plaza.
- 17:51Dayna Roselli: Now they've added Bramare.
- 17:53Dayna Roselli: Uh they have some great stuff over there.
- 17:54Dayna Roselli: Tacos and beers, a casual restaurant over there.
- 17:57Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it's just on paradise to the south of Twain.
- 18:02Dayna Roselli: So if you're looking for something that's just off the strip, that might be an option for you.
- 18:07Sean McAllister: And as we head downtown, uh the Neonopolis complex right there off of Fremont Street, just opened a new nightclub called Substance Nightclub.
- 18:17Sean McAllister: This happened in mid-July.
- 18:19Sean McAllister: There was a big ribbon cutting, the mayor was there.
- 18:21Sean McAllister: Um, but this seems like it's it's going to open up new possibilities for events down on Fremont Street, too.
- 18:30Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I know we were just talking about the show for New Year's Eve at the Sphere, how it's kind of like that electronic dance music.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: And um, apparently, Substance is gonna feature some world-renowned artists and DJs that will create this sensory experience.
- 18:45Dayna Roselli: Kind of they're saying that's gonna kind of mirror the electric daisy carnival, EDC.
