- 0:00Oh yeah, Amanda's back. Thanks for coming in this morning. I thought
- 0:02i'd put in a couple of days this way. It might be your last
- 0:09based on what I'm hearing now. Listen, it's no longer a matter of
- 0:13if there are extraterrestrial out there. It's not a matter of when they'll be
- 0:18visiting, because they already have this. According to yesterday on the House floor
- 0:24of the United States Government, Amanda, there have any hearing about UFOs or
- 0:29formerly UFOs. We're now calling them you APAs. I'm sorry, you APAs,
- 0:34which stands for a unidentified an anomalous phenomena. Yeah, you APAs.
- 0:40Why why are we changing the name? They've been UFOs forever? What they
- 0:45just wanted to freshen it up? Okay, up the name. I thinking
- 0:48like, okay, we sound ridiculous if we're talking about UFOs and aliens.
- 0:51But if we call them uapas, maybe they can get some headway. It's
- 0:56a little more official. So yesterday on the housebloard, there's a former Air
- 1:00Force intelligence officer who's talking to a committee about what the US government knows about
- 1:07some formerly UFOs. Like in two thousand and four, there was a video
- 1:11that serviced not long ago of a UFO flying off the coast of San Diego
- 1:17that four Navy officers saw witnessed. I kind of remember that they get flew
- 1:22past them so fast that they were all going, hang on, did we
- 1:23all just see that? They said it descended approximately eighty thousand feet in a
- 1:29second. Okay, eighty thousand feet, Amanda. Now here is the whistleblower
- 1:34they're calling him. His name is David Grush. Mister Gresh. Finally,
- 1:38do you believe that our government is in possession of UAPs? Absolutely based on
- 1:41interviewing over forty witnesses over four years. Okay, so he says, we
- 1:46have retrieved a UAP. Now in regards to who is flying that UAP,
- 1:49Amanda, are you ready for this? I don't know if I am in
- 1:53turn grazy like strap up, because this is chilling. If you believe we
- 1:56have crashed craft stated earlier, do we have the bodies of the pilots who
- 2:00piloted this craft? As I've stated publicly already in my new station. Interview
- 2:05of biologics came with some of these recoveries. Yeah, were they I guess
- 2:08human or non human? Biologics? Non human? And that was the assessment
- 2:13of people which recknowledge on the program I talked to that are currently still on
- 2:16the program. Get out of here. So like aliens non human biologics otherwise
- 2:23known as aliens. Okay, he says, we've retrieved them in the government
- 2:30is trying to shut him up. That's why he's the whistle blower. How
- 2:32all the crazy people are going to go to Area fifty one? Now remember
- 2:36how how long ago was that? Yeah, they were going to try to
- 2:40get in there. We all thought that after they were wackos. Turns out
- 2:44they're not. He went on to say that we have nothing that can stop
- 2:47in midair and go the other direction. Nor do we have anything that can,
- 2:51like in our situation, come down from space, hangout for three hours
- 2:53and go back up. Nothing like it, not human blown anyway. Are
- 2:59you ready for what might happen here? I've known about it. I am
- 3:05one. I wouldn't be surprised. Do you rip your face off and reveal
- 3:09a big green one like in a minute in the morning, Big nutty eight
- 3:13point seven, Time for another round of our hypothetical situation game brutal situations we
- 3:20found ourselves in abithetically it's called what do you do Are you ready? What
- 3:23do you do? Man? Cracking myself up over here? You literally have
- 3:28been just laughing yourself. I'm like, what are you doing? Are you
- 3:30insane? I know you were gone for a week, but have you lost
- 3:32it now? You said you's got some funny hypotheticals, So play along within
- 3:37your car if you want to call in or text in, let us know
- 3:38what you would do. Seven one two eight eight seven, Amanda, go
- 3:43ahead, you miraculously get good at golf. Shut up? Yeah, not
- 3:47what you were laughing about the whole time, that zinger. Nope, you
- 3:51qualify for the Masters, obviously, it's a pretty big deal. End up
- 3:55making it to the final round. It's you Mackleroy Tiger Woods. And is
- 4:02it HOGI or hog Tom Hogi? Yeah, Bargo legend, yep, yeah,
- 4:06okay, but it's Tiger's last match ever, never gonna golf again,
- 4:14and this is final, never gonna do it again. He is done.
- 4:16You got him by a point. Do a little research before you give me
- 4:21a golf situation. All right, I'm up. I'm up a stroke or
- 4:25stroke? Alright, full stroke? Both balls on the green, and uh
- 4:33Tiger's balls are on the green? Yep, both of them, and you
- 4:36know you can make the putt and you can win it all because it's only
- 4:43three feet three foot putt. You got this, But Tiger it gives you
- 4:47a look like, boy boy, you better not make this. This is
- 4:53his last moment to shine ever ever. Tiger Woods the guy I know him
- 4:58so Pike. I mean, he gave you the look. He's threatening me.
- 5:04He's looking at you seeing that. What do you do. I'm putting
- 5:10that baby in the bottom of the cup. Wow, you don't even wager.
- 5:15Give you like a payout. He'd be like, hey, dude,
- 5:16I'm getting to payout for winning. No. I know. I love to
- 5:20listen. Tiger's the goat, but no, I couldn't do it. Where's
- 5:23Tom by the way, Fargo South graduate Tom Hoky? Is he on the
- 5:26other side of the green? Yeah, he's on the other side now.
- 5:28He just you're beating him for sure, Okay, yeah, because you are
- 5:30so good at golf, because I have that all right. Well, interesting,
- 5:34Amanda, your friend Daffodil invites you to we Fest. She's got you
- 5:43a free VIP ticket along with a very special Morgan wall In VIP experience where
- 5:49you and a friend get to make a chicken salad with Morgan. He's big
- 5:55into cooking. Yeah, do you only catch she's pitching a tent in the
- 6:00Viking campground and you've got to sleep in there with her? Otherwise you don't
- 6:03get the tickets. Didn't they close that one down? Isn't that? I
- 6:09don't know, it's pretend didn't. You're next to a rowdy frat boy camper
- 6:15and da, they're not sleeping, and Daffodil's in your tent with you.
- 6:18But I get to whip up a chicken salad with Morgan. There's that.
- 6:23And then also you got tickets, VIP tickets. Yeah, I'm gonna have
- 6:26to get nasty for the night. I'm gonna have to sleep in the tent
- 6:29over her in Viking. Okay, how a nasty? Well, you're gonna
- 6:33try to go to battery. You're just gonna embrace the situation. I'm gonna
- 6:35try to sleep. Yep. We try to snuggle up and sleep in Viking.
- 6:41You'd be playing beer pong with some Concordia kid named Brenneran within minutes totally.
- 6:46I would be yep, and then I'd be passed out in probably seven
- 6:50minutes. Oh, gosh, okay, all right, Pike. You go
- 6:54to Arby's, you leave before you open the bag, so once you look
- 6:58inside, you realize, amateur, move, this is not my order.
- 7:02But it's a beg full of food. I'm we're talking food. You could
- 7:06live off in this big bag of food for three days. Well, curly
- 7:10fries have about eight minutes of shelf life. I don't know about that.
- 7:14But it's not what you ordered. It's not what you ordered at all,
- 7:18okay, but food for three days, Pike, Oh, this is easy.
- 7:25Really. It's more than I ordered, yeah, but not what you
- 7:30ordered. What do you do? Well? I eat that entire bag,
- 7:34and then I called the restaurant and say, hey, you messed up my
- 7:36order. And then I go back and get what I originally ordered, and
- 7:40then I eat that too. You don't just circle right back around and go,
- 7:44oh man, messed up. No. By the way, when they
- 7:46mess up your order, don't ever give them the food back. I hate
- 7:49that. It's like, dooh wo, We'll take that. I'm like,
- 7:51no, you're not. What are you gonna do with it? Throw it
- 7:54away? You're not gonna give it to somebody else. I bet they do
- 7:56give it to something, don't you can went to spend in my car?
- 7:59I would ask yeah, because there'd be some legal issues. Now that's when
- 8:01you do the older you like you open it up and you kind of like
- 8:03open the bund or whatever you see, like see it's not mine, and
- 8:07then you lick it you They can't give it to it now. So you're
- 8:09the guy at a restaurant when they're eating you're, oh, this was terrible,
- 8:13there was something in it, but you make sure you got everything pretty
- 8:16much eight before you tell them absolutely yeah, yeah, you have one bite
- 8:18left, like, hey, this was this was the wrong thing. I
- 8:22know, I ate it all, but can I get the other thing?
- 8:24Oh? Man? I said, And it don't even feel bad. Like
- 8:26when I worked at Army's for two years at East ten and Moorehead, if
- 8:28you came in and were completely I just did not want to hear it.
- 8:31The second you started to say you mess this, I'm like, all right,
- 8:33fine, what do you want? Just name it, name your price,
- 8:35I'll give it to you anyway, anything for that. All right.
- 8:41I'm Mandy. You're a train conductor. Choo choo, got it? Yep.
- 8:46You used to have a cute hat that was like that back in the
- 8:48day beyond. In the distance lies your niece playing on the tracks. Oh
- 8:54gosh, you're going too fast and the brake lines have failed complete leatly.
- 9:00However, good grief, there just sepps to be an alternate track. But
- 9:05there are seven baby panda bears on said alternative track, seven of only nine
- 9:13remaining on the planet Earth, and the other two are males. So they're
- 9:20staring at you in the eyes, little beady endangered eyes. I'm sorry,
- 9:24and my niece and your niece is playing in the other tracks, so both
- 9:26very close in proximity, and you've got just enough time whether to pull the
- 9:31lever and switch tracks or to continue going straight. So, Amanda, yes,
- 9:39we were all having fun. I've got three of them. I'll pick
- 9:41your least favorite. Goodbye panda bears. God is your niece's name in the
- 9:50morning? Ready he is today? Nom Amanda stills. Let's see see all
- 10:03right, you're gonna have to fill me in what happened in the last week
- 10:07with Ariana Grande. Oh it's juicy. We had some rumors that she was
- 10:11not with her man, and then all of a sudden, I see this
- 10:13guy who she was maybe conodling with on the set of Wicked. Filed for
- 10:16divorce yesterday. Yeah, but they weren't. They weren't really together. They
- 10:20had all separated before, is what I've heard. I don't believe that for
- 10:24a second. Oh, it turns out they'd been hanging out, the three
- 10:26of them him, this what ethan slater? Who have you looked at it?
- 10:30That we've mostly been focusing on how ugly he is? Yeah, let
- 10:33me give him a peak, because I do not have a picture of him
- 10:35in my mind yet. I can't wait to see and hear your instant reaction
- 10:37because later, Yeah, yeah, you know ariana grandy, pretty good looking
- 10:41gal. Yeah, very bad, beautiful, beautiful. Wow, this must
- 10:43be a hot thing to it doesn't want to come up. It's not because
- 10:46everyone's googling it. Yeah, barely him and now what will be his ex
- 10:50wife? And then Oriana? We're like hanging out as a as a throuble,
- 10:54not a throuble, not an actual throuble, but like, you know,
- 10:56a little she was third wheel in it, and you know it's yeah,
- 11:00one of those things you look back and it's like, remember that time
- 11:01I told you I was concerned about your relationship oh my gosh. Yeah,
- 11:07not somebody you think she would be with. Not real. This is I
- 11:13know, I feel bad. So there's also remember she was with Pete Davidson
- 11:16and that's always been a weird thing for Yea, she has an ugly man
- 11:20fetish. Yeah, you guys, this is bizarre. I mean, this
- 11:24is a guy that you would Yeah what did Pike say? He said he's
- 11:30a guy you'd school. I went to four guys in high school I looked
- 11:33just like that, and they got made fun of sadly, which is not
- 11:37okay. This is the saddest thing I've ever seen, because I mean,
- 11:39oh, come on, man. Mainly though, because Ethan looks like a
- 11:43guy who went to school with class of two thousand and three. Wodina,
- 11:46dear Creed. I passed him in the hall every day, and you're now
- 11:48breaking up marriages? What is going on? And shame on Ariana Grande.
- 11:52Yeah, it doesn't matter what he looks like. That said, there's better
- 11:56looking people at the holiday on thirty second Avenue currently no offense, just too
- 12:03bad. Kind of Hopefully her axe with Dalton Gomez and then this guy's axe,
- 12:07hopefully they get together. That'd be fun, like a little wife swap.
- 12:11Yeah, just like heartbreaking snat O'Connor. She died yesterday. She was
- 12:18fifty six years old, and I think we all kind of thought, wow,
- 12:20I know I was one of them going. I honestly thought she had
- 12:24passed away, just because she's had so many mental health struggles. She's had
- 12:26so many personal tragedies. I mean, she's publicly said she was going to
- 12:31kill herself multiple times, and it's just so heartbreaking. She really really struggled
- 12:35though. After her seventeen year old son Shane, killed himself in January twenty
- 12:39twenty two. Her last post on social media basically just said that he was
- 12:41the only person who ever loved me unconditionally. Sad. Yeah, she just
- 12:46could not get past that I was reading. You know, I didn't really
- 12:50know about the time on SNL in the nineties when she ripped up the photo
- 12:54of the pope. Yeah, that was kind of a big deal. I
- 12:56guess. Yeah, if you're a big pope person, well, I think
- 13:00most people are pretty pope people. Are you raise a hands, I'll give
- 13:05you a double hand. Any pope people bid you name the current pope?
- 13:11Yep, he was just in the hospital. Yep. I'm not gonna tell
- 13:16you, but it's Pope. Francis isn't to tell her Francis, of course
- 13:22it was Francis. Hey, you guys are gonna need to fill me in
- 13:26s. So what is going on with Ariana Grande and this guy Ethan?
- 13:31Ethan looks like a guy who went into school with class of two thousand and
- 13:33three, Windina, dear Creed. I passed him in the hall every day,
- 13:37and you're now breaking up marriages? What is going on? And shame
- 13:41on Ariana Grande? Yeah, well, I mean it doesn't matter what he
- 13:45looks like. That said, there's better looking people at the holiday on thirty
- 13:48second Abe currently no offense. I just I am trying to wrap my head
- 13:54around how he filed for divorce just yesterday. He's about to have a one
- 13:58year old kid with his wife, Lily might get this all right, And
- 14:01they just met on the set of a movie and Pam, it's done just
- 14:03like that. I mean he'd been with his Lily, this act of his
- 14:07now for ten plus years. I mean obviously he I think he was just
- 14:09ready to move on one way or the other. And well he had an
- 14:13opportunity to horse around with Ariana Grande. He just couldn't resist. Yeah,
- 14:16I just I don't know. I'm not liking it for Ariana Grande. What's
- 14:20your favorite thing Ariana Grande ever did? For sure, Davidson on the map
- 14:26because nobody knew who he was. You like that. Let's just still it's
- 14:30just all very bizarre to me. And it's sad because there is a kid
- 14:31involved. You're ruining marriages. Yeah, and let's be honest with her track
- 14:35record, is this really gonna last? You think her and Ethan are going
- 14:39to be the next Hollywood couple? Come on? No? And this shocked
- 14:45me. Kevin Spacey was found not guilty on all nine charges against him in
- 14:48his sexual assault trial and Lendon yesterday. Coincidentally, it was his sixty fourth
- 14:52birthday as well. I guess a jury deliberated for twelve hours. Following the
- 14:56verdict, he wiped tears from his eyes. He looked at them and he
- 14:58said thank you. He also hugged his manager, a legal team we're also
- 15:01finding out, he told reporters outside of the courtroom. He's humbled and grateful.
- 15:05Where do you guys do with this? I there's still just so much
- 15:09you involved in this. I know he has not been charged ever with any
- 15:13of it. For me, I found him guilty in my in my opinion,
- 15:18when all of a sudden there was what felt like a pay day and
- 15:22then somebody's phone disappeared. People's phones just don't disappear when they have actual information
- 15:26on it. No. No, there's been a lot of shady things,
- 15:30and there's enough out there, like what nine accusations here, there's more over
- 15:33in the US. It's it's like, yeah, was he not guilty in
- 15:35the court of lot, Sure, because there wasn't enough to prove it.
- 15:39But is he guilty in the court of public opinion? Probably just you guilty
- 15:45his charge? Yeah, with to being a bad guy in the morning.
- 15:52You suspect a thing? When are you that a phone fiend? Fucking enough
- 16:00this listen fice friend arrested. Guys aren't getting tired of that song yet,
- 16:08are you? No? I mean, honestly, I have it as a
- 16:11ringtone. Is that the whole thing? Well, I haven't been around for
- 16:14twenty years, but this sentiment is still noted Anyway. This guy, he's
- 16:18getting cabinets installed in his house and he's real worried about getting them done in
- 16:22time for this party he's having. So his friend named Adam hit us up
- 16:26and he's like, hey, I know you guys do those prank calls,
- 16:30so maybe you could frank call my friend. So here we go. Hello,
- 16:38Yeah, hey there this Alex, owner of the house over there on
- 16:41a fourteenth Avenue. Yeah, yeah, this hey Alex. My name is
- 16:45Tim. You can call me Tim the Toolman Johnson. I'm the cabinet installer
- 16:52here over at didn't you guys hired us to put the cabinets in your kitchen?
- 16:56Right? All right, timmums, how's isolation going? Well? Alex,
- 17:00Well, it's a little embarrassing, but you see, might have made
- 17:02a small mistake during the installation process of your cabinets. What happened is something
- 17:07break at the wall? Come, oh no, no, everything's fine.
- 17:10You see, but we recently had just got this hot new line of scented
- 17:14cabinets. It's one of the biggest new trends in kitchen stuff. Anyway,
- 17:19I think what happened here is I might have accidentally installed our new cheese scented
- 17:25cabinets into your kitchen. Wait, I'm sorry, did you did you say
- 17:30chiefe scented cabinets? Are you serious. I mean, I know it sounds
- 17:33ridiculous, but it was an honest mix up. Long story short, what
- 17:37we're gonna have to do is basically just rip out the cheese cabinets and put
- 17:41in some new ones. Wait, so you're serious about this whole thing.
- 17:45So you put cheese scented cabinets on my wall. It was a mistake,
- 17:51Like I said, I mean, who who would ever want that cheese cabinets?
- 17:56Yeah? Well, actually they're very, very in demand, flying off
- 18:00the shelves literally. I understand your frustration, you're, Alex, But my
- 18:03plan, like I told you, I'm gonna get these replaced as soon as
- 18:06possible. Promise, I'm gonna take care of it. All right, you're
- 18:08gonna replace that, But you know it's not gonna cost me extra. That's
- 18:11that's on you. That's your don't be ridiculous. No, of course,
- 18:15it's gonna be free at charge. Get those regular smelling cabinets right in there
- 18:18as soon as possible. We'll see if we can't get that done here in
- 18:22the next couple of weeks, In the next couple No, no, no,
- 18:25you need to remove those asat I Alex, I hear you. That
- 18:30is however, gonna be pretty tough. Obviously, we're gonna have to order
- 18:32the new cabinets. I mean, maybe you just want to come by and
- 18:34give these babies a sniff. You know, I'm gonna I'm crazy, but
- 18:37you might like them. Listen, I'm not gonna sit here and argue with
- 18:41you about a mistake that you made. All right, I don't want stupid
- 18:44cheese cabinets on my wall. May come on, I mean they're mozzarella.
- 18:47At that does anything for you? No, Jesus God, I don't.
- 18:52I don't want any of that. Okay, you'll fix it. As nobody
- 18:57talks to Tim the tool and Johnson like this. And besides, Alex,
- 19:02it's a joke anyway. Wait, look, it's a joke anyway. Are
- 19:10you You did not believe there's a cheap she sent in cabinets, Alex,
- 19:14Jesus boy, you got me. We'll play, We'll play. I was,
- 19:19I was, I was, I was, Alex. I'm sorry.
- 19:23I'm sorry if I got a little too animated, a little aggressive. I
- 19:27won't tell anybody yet, but listen, it's Pike and Amanda in the morning
- 19:30had pig ninety at point seven. Unfortunately, my man You've been a victim
- 19:33of Pike's prying. Sorry about that, you know, at some point,
- 19:37I just don't know how, but I will get you back. Oh that
- 19:44is a creepy thing to say. Oh god, I'm gonna pretend I didn't
- 19:48hear that coming for I don't blame me. You can't blame me because it
- 19:52was your friend Adam. He was the one that hit us up. He
- 19:55said, he've been stressed about getting these cabinets done, hoping it was done
- 19:59before that party or whatever. Yeah, we're just the middleman, so you
- 20:00can't be mad at us. Oh my god, he's gonna get it,
- 20:07like in a minute in the morning. On Big Nutty eight point seven.
- 20:14I want to warn you because I found a list of things you should never
- 20:17ever say on a second date. Okay, number five on the things you
- 20:21should never say on a second date? Do you like me? Oh gosh,
- 20:23of course it's on your mind, especially you know, if you think
- 20:26you might be liking him, but not a thing you should be asking.
- 20:30Okay, it's a totally normal thing to feel, but you got to be
- 20:33able to just resist the urge. Well, and then there's also this thing
- 20:36where they're hanging out with you a second time, they like you don't go
- 20:41do you really like me? How much do you like? Man? That's
- 20:45definitely something I would do it totally is Yeah. How about this one?
- 20:48Where do you see yourself in ten years? Not a thing you should be
- 20:52asking on the second date. It is, after all, a date,
- 20:55not a job interview. I feel like, I guess it depends on your
- 20:59age and where you're we're at in life. By the first date, I
- 21:00think I need to know where you at in five years? What's your goal
- 21:03here? Do you want kids? Do you want dogs? Where you at?
- 21:07I mean, what do you have cats? Because I'm allergic? I
- 21:11mean I need to know up front of the details. Then number three on
- 21:15the things you should not ask on a second date or a first date,
- 21:18don't ask them. How many people they don't ask them what their number is?
- 21:22Yeah? Or ever? Really you don't think I ever should be addressed?
- 21:26Nah? I think you just kind of get it, you know what
- 21:30I mean. I don't know at a certain age maybe, but I remember
- 21:33when I was a young young man and I was single for a moment,
- 21:34and that was like a thing. I was like, you know, because
- 21:37not far out of high school, so it could be zero. And what
- 21:41I found out at certain point I was shocked, right, I didn't know
- 21:45numbers wed that high, and I was like, I think I'm going to
- 21:48stop asking this question. Yeah, if there's that, but it is very
- 21:51important, especially if somebody is holding out for it. And yeah, more
- 21:55props too yet great, but yeah, you don't want to be think oh,
- 21:59okay, but like if you're dating in your thirties or whatever, it's
- 22:02like, does it matter? You know? No, you know it's probably
- 22:04not zero. If you know a few things about their patch, you're like,
- 22:07I got the gist of it. We're good. Oh, I need
- 22:11to know. Number two on things you should never say in a second date.
- 22:15I love babies, because who doesn't love babies. They're sensational. However,
- 22:22it's just a little much for a second date. Did you just say
- 22:23sensational bababies? I would say, have you ever met a non sensational baby?
- 22:30I say I wasn't. I'm not a big fan of babies, believe
- 22:32it or not. Oh interesting for somebody who has had to baby. No,
- 22:34but I didn't love the baby stage. Like, if there's somebody there,
- 22:37it's like, oh that's a cute. Oh, nicest little baby.
- 22:40I'm not holding your baby next time I see Sydney. Guess what I'm telling
- 22:42the Sydney. I need to tell you your mom did not love you as
- 22:47a baby. That's not true. I loved him, there were mine,
- 22:48but I wasn't like Oh, I wasn't sad when we got out of the
- 22:52baby stage. What are you most excited for? What age? We've got
- 22:56it pretty good right now? Born too. Well, maybe Briggs could grow
- 23:00up a little bit more once, maybe next summer. Well two is tough
- 23:03because they still aren't exactly able to communicate everything. Yeah, Briggs is three,
- 23:07but he's still struggling? Is he three? Wait? No, he
- 23:08used to. I know your kids better than you, dude. I know
- 23:11that boys two years old. I'm planning his third birthday. That's where I'm
- 23:15struggling. Oh got you. I'm scared for Sydney's teenage years. Oh she's
- 23:18already h that comes to her sass? Yeah, good luck? Hopefully do
- 23:22like she ages. Just I had a schedule and buy her teenagers. She's
- 23:26acting like she's fifty an old. Sell and Mary Kay now number one of
- 23:30them from her A little pink car. Hey, if they're giving up the
- 23:36pink car. She can sell Mary Kay all day long. Things you should
- 23:40never see in a secondade. The number one thing is what are your parents
- 23:42like? Now you think you're making small talk, he hears you planning a
- 23:48wedding, so chill. Yeah, that is a little aggressive. Yeah,
- 23:51kind of even just asking about the family in general, you're supposed to saying,
- 23:55I don't know, that sounds horrifying, Like I can't imagine dating.
- 23:57I really can't. Makes brutal out there, Pike in a minute in the
- 24:03morning on dat point seven, it's today's rany big ninety eight point seven Pike
- 24:10and a Mandy in the morning. Dude. Yeah, Thursday, which is
- 24:14a day away from Friday, got me feeling like, yes, this week
- 24:18flew by for me, it's just kind of crazy, or one day work
- 24:21would be flying by. A huge fan of this, uh this kind of
- 24:25schedule. But whether I say, ay, it is going to be hot
- 24:26high of about ninety one. But of course there was a reason I was
- 24:30gone last week. I think we're getting serious. We are getting kind of
- 24:33serious. Uh well, we were just talking about it. I mean,
- 24:36just our community in general. It just feels like there's just been a lot
- 24:37of stuff going on last week. Wednesday, we had wrapped up giving out
- 24:41the blue lightbulbs. Yeah, we had just heard that press conference. It
- 24:45was just my heart was really heavy. That was just really a lot,
- 24:48It really really was. And you and I were having a conversation just you
- 24:52know, stuff going on publicly with obviously the horrible tragedy, and then just
- 24:56stuff in our personal lives that we had known that was going on. It
- 24:57seemed like there was an in flux of just sad stuff happening. Yeah,
- 25:02it was hard to get away from any of that. I got home late
- 25:06on Wednesday night, so this was a week ago, and I just wanted
- 25:08to be with my kids. Just That's all I wanted to do was give
- 25:11my kids a hug. And I started crying because they were all sleeping,
- 25:15and I ended up pouring a glass of wine. I know, this is
- 25:17a shocker, and went out on the patio with my dog, Vino,
- 25:19and she was playing out there and I just kind of sat there for about
- 25:22forty five minutes, just taking it all in, kind of unwinding. She
- 25:26was out in the yard plane and Thursday came back to work. My dog
- 25:30had woken me up about twelve thirty that night to let her out. That's
- 25:33pretty usual for her. And then I got a text about six fifteen Thursday
- 25:37morning for my husband same Vino has been breathing really hard, very weird because
- 25:41she doesn't breathe the bathroom right, Yeah, And I guess when the kids
- 25:48had woke up, that's when my husband was a little nervous, like,
- 25:49hey, something's not right with her because she didn't get up, and then
- 25:52she ended up going to the bathroom on the floor. And so it was
- 25:57one of those moments where normally like, Oh, I'll just wait till I
- 26:00get home, but for some reason in my heart, I'm like, guys,
- 26:02I gotta go. I just need to make sure she's okay. So
- 26:04I ended up bringing her into the Red River Animal Clinic and they said she
- 26:11had ruptured her spleen and basically we could spend some money and go through a
- 26:18procedure, but they didn't think she'd be able to even survive that. If
- 26:22she did, they said, she's probably full of cancer and it could be
- 26:26two weeks to two months. That's kind of the long story of it all,
- 26:30and we had to make one of the toughest decisions. She was like
- 26:32my first kid. I remember that's wearing her like her first birthday. My
- 26:36god, if you're friends of yours on Facebook, you know before the kids
- 26:38came along, that that dog was just the superstar. Yeah, you loved
- 26:42her and we loved her too. You brought her into the office a week
- 26:45ago, I mean that same week, and she seemed great. She was
- 26:48running around, I was pedding her. It was lovely. Yeah. Brought
- 26:51her out to the grotto for pups on the patio with the kids. They
- 26:53were hanging out eating waffle fries together. So it was very, very shocking
- 26:57to our family. Unfortunately, had to the decision and we put her down,
- 27:00and that is just not easy. That is Were you in the room,
- 27:06Yeah, so oh, I guess one of the hardest things as a
- 27:08parent. So I'm there, Nick said home, I had dropped the kids
- 27:11off a daycare. We're just kind of sitting there, scrambling, going,
- 27:15we don't want to bring the kids into a situation we don't really know about.
- 27:18And then when we decided that we were going to put her down,
- 27:19it was within forty five minutes and I told Nick, I said, I
- 27:23think he need to go get the kids. I know they're only three and
- 27:26four years old, but I don't want to not come home with a dog.
- 27:30I want them to kind of try to understand and just give them a
- 27:32little love. They weren't in there at the time when I actually put her
- 27:36down, but yeah, we ended up doing that, so the kids were
- 27:40there for it, and then we ended up taking her and burying her out
- 27:42at the lake house because my stepdad wasn't able to be here in time and
- 27:45he wanted he had a spot already for with a nice view of the lake
- 27:48where she loved to be. And it was tough. It was really really
- 27:52tough. Well, I know, and when I talked to you that day,
- 27:53you were obviously very upset, and yeah, I remember you saying like,
- 27:56I know, it's just a dog, but I'm like, no,
- 28:00the way it feels physically is the same as if it was a human,
- 28:03absolutely, and it's just like I mean, they're a part of your family,
- 28:07and you gave her a great life for obviously not long enough, but
- 28:10you know, it's just a If you've lost a dog, you know,
- 28:14it's horrible. Like my dad, I think I've only seen him cry two
- 28:17times in my life, and the first time was when our dog Max,
- 28:21after fourteen years, passed away, and then fourteen years later the dog that
- 28:23we got after, Missy, after we had to go put her down,
- 28:26and that was one of the saddest things I've ever been through, standing there
- 28:30in Holly as they put her down and oh my god, like hard to
- 28:33even talk about, but I know, and you just it's the little thing.
- 28:37Star was like, how are you guys holding up? How are the
- 28:37kids. I'm like, you know, the kids are good because they were
- 28:40distracted. We hung out at the lake and I already had had a plan
- 28:42vacation earlier on in this week. But it's a it's just stupid stuff.
- 28:47The kids throw stuff all over the floor and I'm like, okay, if
- 28:48you know, came here and I'm like, oh, she's not there,
- 28:51and you know, this morning, I'm like, hey, don't forget to
- 28:55can't let me know out. I mean, just the things that are in
- 28:56your everyday life. So it's going to take a while, but it's just
- 29:00it sucks. Yeah, thank you for all the messages. People have been
- 29:03so great, and thank you for being back and just holding it was to
- 29:07just kind of take a step back also, just after everything that was going
- 29:11on. I was like, oh, should I come back to work on
- 29:12Monday? I like, no, I need to unplug and chill and get
- 29:15away. Absolutely. Now I'm glad you did. But you did have a
- 29:18planned vacation this week, so you didn't take a week off. I mean,
- 29:22if you want, I mean, listen, if that's what you needed,
- 29:23great, But no, Amanda was I didn't even take that long off
- 29:26when my mom passed away. I know people were like, gosh, she
- 29:30o gay. I'm like normal, I'm good. I just really needed a
- 29:32little vacation too. And it's good, you know, to be back and
- 29:34back to normal. But yeah, you're right, there's gonna be that empty
- 29:37miss feeling in the house and just at the lake for a while. But
- 29:41and people are already sending me dogs. They're like, are you guys going
- 29:42to get another one? I'm like, okay, chill out, we need
- 29:45a break. Yeah eventually, though, it's you know, it's weird not
- 29:49having one. Right. Well, we're thinking, you're glad you're back,
- 29:52though, thanks for having me back. Time in the morning. Big Nutty
- 29:57eight point seven, my name is, My name is? Your name?
- 30:03Could get you a lifetime supply of free Subway sandwiches. My name's Amanda.
- 30:08Do I get free sub Let me look, No, not one the list.
- 30:11In fact, you have to you would have to legally change your name
- 30:15to Subway to get a lifetime supply. Oh sub stop Subway. The chain
- 30:22is offering this to anyone who legally changes their name between August first and fourth.
- 30:27Just got to visit Subway name change dot Com and you can enter to
- 30:32win. And you obviously know it's not everyone who does it, because I
- 30:34know there's a million yah who's like me who would probably do it. Yeah,
- 30:38if it automatically. So you have to just register the chance to change
- 30:41your name. Oh that's so, so don't go and do it, you
- 30:45know, before before you actually win the contest. As much as I love
- 30:48a foot long, I will tell you this, the legality is of going
- 30:57through changing your I mean, because you'd have to change your name legally.
- 31:02Yeah, so going through the process, the IRS and Social Security. I
- 31:07mean, I know I know people who don't even when they get married,
- 31:08they don't even change her last name because like my wife, you would have
- 31:11thought it was the hardest thing she's ever had to do, was change her
- 31:14name over. Yeah, it's ridiculous she did it. Yeah, so I
- 31:19don't know. I mean Subway. It's not the cutest name. No,
- 31:22I mean, if it was Jimmy Johns, I'm gonna be real Jammy John's
- 31:26Lee that would be I'm gonna Jimmy John's Pickles. You go by Jay Jane.
- 31:32Oh, you're saying, you're saying you would rather have a lifetime supply
- 31:34at Jamie Johns. Correct. Yeah, no, I'm not just going through,
- 31:37but probably Jersey. I'd be Jersey girl. That's your favorite sub shop.
- 31:41Absolutely, they're also Listen, I love subs. I'm not like a
- 31:45snob like some people are, but they're all good. But I love Subway.
- 31:48We got one right down the road in twenty fifth Street. I've been
- 31:49going there since two thousand and eight, since I've been working in this building,
- 31:52pretty much gotten to know like everybody there. When you roll up,
- 31:56they're just like, here is this order? The story it is? Start
- 32:00getting that chicken bacon ranch ready. But it's I mean, I will say
- 32:04free subway would be great because five dollars footlongs are a thing of the very
- 32:07distant past. Everything is so expensive, it's crazy. It's like thirteen dollars
- 32:14footlongs. Yeah, you like footlongs now in the morning. I'm glad you
- 32:22saw this situation, a horrible situation where a young girl lost her mom tragically.
- 32:27Right. Yes, it's just been in a matter of weeks. Her
- 32:29mom went into the hospital and just all of a sudden and she lost her
- 32:32But even before her mom passed away, she's just this little girl who is
- 32:36trying to do something good to support her mom, and it's just look,
- 32:39it's me and of course we want to help out too. So we have
- 32:43the aunt of this young girl we're talking about on the phone. Her name
- 32:45is Michaela. Good morning, Michaela. How are you good? How are
- 32:47you guys? We're doing all right. You know. I know our community
- 32:52has been hurting and there's been a lot of things going on, but we
- 32:54wanted to make sure that we did not miss out on an opportunity to talk
- 32:59about your amazing niece Kate and what she's doing today. But we also need
- 33:04to talk about the reason behind it and just our thoughts and prayers are with
- 33:07you, guys. Is just so sad. Tell us what's been going on?
- 33:08Yeah, so recently Kate's mom was in the hospital, for an unknown
- 33:14illness, and things kind of took a turn fast and she went to the
- 33:17ICU, and unfortunately she did pass away on Sunday morning. So Kate decided
- 33:25when her mom was sick in the hospital that she wanted to have a bake
- 33:30sale because she likes sneaking cookies and she always she just wanted to help out.
- 33:32She's nine and she is very active and just fell up the niece that
- 33:37she wanted to help her family and she likes the bake cookies with grandma.
- 33:39So she thought that she would just have a little bake sale to help out,
- 33:44so she could contribute to her family as well. So she decided she
- 33:47would still have the bake sale. I mean, the strength of that little
- 33:52girl to be able to stay I can't imagine. Wow, that is incredible.
- 33:54And first of all, again our thoughts and prayers are with you guys.
- 33:58I am so very sorry that you lost her mom. Stephanie. How
- 34:00is she holding up? I know she's baking cookie isn't getting ready for this
- 34:04event today that we'll talk about in a second. But it's just got to
- 34:07be so hard, yes it Yeah, I think everyone's still a little bit
- 34:10in shock. And I think preparing for the bake still and getting everything ready
- 34:14has kept everyone really busy, and I think it's just the community support has
- 34:19been awesome. It was going to be at their house and it turned out
- 34:22two big so now it's going to be at Osgod Elementary. It's today from
- 34:24pulb to four. There's going to be some bouncy houses that people have offered
- 34:29to bring and said wow, okay, so it's gonna be Yeah, there's
- 34:31gonna be a drive through lane. So it has really turned into a big
- 34:37event and we're just really excited to support them. Stephanie was an r N
- 34:40nurse and she worked in the critical care unit for many years at Stanford,
- 34:45so it's just we're just glad that we can help out the family as well.
- 34:47Well. We're definitely going to be out there and right now we'd like
- 34:51to get ahold of Kate's dad, Tom, who you've given us his number.
- 34:53Thank you for that, and we got a little surprise for them,
- 34:55shall we let's do it? Col Tom, Good morning, Tom. Sorry
- 35:06to bother you so early, but it's Pike in Amanda in the morning on
- 35:08Big ninety point seven. You might if we chat with you for a second.
- 35:10Absolutely, Well, so we heard unfortunately about the you know, tragedy
- 35:15in your family, and we just first want to say we're so sorry.
- 35:17We're thinking about you and your daughter and everybody involved, so our thoughts are
- 35:21with you for that. Thank you, We really appreciate it. We also
- 35:23heard there is a big bake sale going on today. They sure is.
- 35:29My daughter Kate is super excited. She started a bake sale to help her
- 35:32mom while she was in the hospital, but unfortunately how things happened, she's
- 35:38kind of turned into a memorial but she's full momentum. Yeah, that's just
- 35:43incredible. As a dad, you've got to be so proud. I am.
- 35:45I am in having her mind be busy right now and proud of an
- 35:50understatement, Well, just for her to have the strength to be able to
- 35:52put together something like this, because you know, she's got to do all
- 35:54the baking. It sounds like she's you know, organizing the whole thing.
- 35:58So it's pretty incredible that nine year old is able to do all that.
- 36:00So we just want to do actually before we go out there today, because
- 36:04you know, we want to have some cookies too and help out. We
- 36:07want to get the fun started by donating a little donation of our own.
- 36:09Yeah. I don't know if you're familiar with the Big Ninetia points seven Christmas
- 36:13Wish program, but our friends over at Gateway Chevrolet and Heartland Chevy Dealers,
- 36:17we team up and we find people in our community that are going above and
- 36:21beyond or need a little extra help when they're down on their luck. And
- 36:24is Kate up and at it right now? You know she's not. She
- 36:27actually was baking Laden's the night with the friends, so she actually had a
- 36:30little sleepover. Rest assure that she's probably dipped in powdered suggar and the flower
- 36:37right now. So well, as soon as you see her today, you
- 36:40tell her that Big Ninetia point seven is going to start her bake sale for
- 36:45mama with a one thousand dollar check. Oh wow, that is so so
- 36:50generous and we are so grateful for everybody and you and thank you absolutely.
- 36:54It's the least we can do. So neon to four, I hope everybody
- 36:58listening goes out and get some Hates cookies to benefit of course, her mom
- 37:01and her memory. New to four, the Osgood Elementary Parking Lot Southside is
- 37:07where you guys are going to be. You got to drive through. Definitely
- 37:08go out there. I hope everybody does. That would be great. Thank
- 37:12you so much. We really the outpour of love and support had been just
- 37:15amazing. Thank you absolutely. Thanks Tom hanging there. We'll be thinking to
- 37:20you guys, and we'll see you today. All right by lake a minute
- 37:22in the morning. Trending. Now, here's what you need to know.
- 37:30A celebration of life are Fallen Fargo Police officer Jaqueline was held at Chiels Arena
- 37:35yesterday. Just watching the footage from people on the sides of the road and
- 37:38all the people that gathered to honor his memory was unbelievable. Yeah, every
- 37:43little town along the way of that procession was lined up. Pretty cool.
- 37:46Yeah. We were in Brainerd last weekends on Saturday, and as they were
- 37:51going through Pequat Lakes. I mean, it was just amazing just the side
- 37:53roads of people in Lakes country that we're all getting together to honor him.
- 37:58Yesterday. There were speakers at the ceremony, former US Senator Heide hit Camp,
- 38:02Governor Bergham, Mayor Mahoney, Attorney General Drew Wrigley, but the most
- 38:06powerful of all was his father, Jeff, who thanked the community for the
- 38:08overwhelming support, and they do not believe Jake would harbor any regrets over what
- 38:14happened. He was not in the wrong place at the wrong time. He
- 38:16was exactly where his heart and determination for his fellow man dictated that he should
- 38:21be in that moment. And he is a hero. This is what his
- 38:23dad said to others. He was Officer Jake Wallen, our sergeant Wallen,
- 38:30but thus he will always be just Jake. Thank you. So sad,
- 38:39so heartbreaking. And we had yet to hear from Officer Dodas and Officer Has
- 38:45They've been in the hospital this entire time, and they created a video message
- 38:49for everybody yesterday. Listen. It's incidents like we had a couple of weeks
- 38:53ago where you start to realize where the community really steps up and it's different
- 38:59up and everyone can feel it. That's the reason everyone stays through the cold.
- 39:02I mean to the community. I really do want to say thank you
- 39:06for everything that everybody has done for us. Jake was a very reliable and
- 39:10a very loyal person and I could always count on the fact that he had
- 39:15my back. It was grown man. You're not supposed to have heroes but
- 39:17Jake Coulin will forever be my hero. I know, goodness, and you
- 39:23know, our community has been coming together for weeks now. It feels like
- 39:28just everybody. And one of the things that I kind of took from yesterday
- 39:30is, you know, we're doing it right now. But let's not just
- 39:34let that diminish. Just don't let this fade away. Let's continue to be
- 39:37this community that we already are, you know what I mean, Just not
- 39:40when tragedy stright. I know, I hate that something like that has to
- 39:44happen in order for us to do this, but I think this will definitely
- 39:46last. I think we're together now and I think we continue to be
