- 0:14Speaker 1: It's already a big best seller on Amazon. But go
- 0:17Speaker 1: to Amazon and get buck Sexton's new book. You'll love it.
- 0:21Speaker 1: And of course you hear him here on wor everyday
- 0:24Speaker 1: noon to three. Buck and Clay every day noon to three.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Buck Sexton, how you doing.
- 0:30Speaker 2: I'm great, Mark, thank you so much for having me on.
- 0:32Speaker 3: I'm super gratified at the response of everyone to the book.
- 0:37Speaker 1: So far.
- 0:38Speaker 3: We hit the number four on the New York Times
- 0:40Speaker 3: bestseller list for a debut nonfiction, which is pretty solid.
- 0:45Speaker 3: And honestly, I just really want people to go get
- 0:48Speaker 3: Manufacturing Delusion.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Everyone that's reading it. I'll tell you, Mark, it's funny.
- 0:52Speaker 3: The biggest reaction that I'm getting from people is oh, wow,
- 0:56Speaker 3: it's actually a good book with real research that I
- 0:59Speaker 3: learned things has worked my time.
- 1:01Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, yeah, I'll take it. You know that's right.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Well, it's it's fascinating, this book Manufacturing Delusion. You know,
- 1:08Speaker 1: we think that the media is a little slanted the
- 1:10Speaker 1: biased about it, but you lay out that these are
- 1:13Speaker 1: techniques and tricks that have been used by Stalin, the
- 1:16Speaker 1: Chinese and Jihadis. And what made you start on this book?
- 1:21Speaker 3: Well, you know, Mark, it actually comes out of my
- 1:24Speaker 3: looking around at America, at America and the world around
- 1:29Speaker 3: us after COVID and thinking to myself, how did so
- 1:32Speaker 3: many people go completely insane here? And how is it
- 1:35Speaker 3: that when I was living in Midtown Manhattan there was
- 1:38Speaker 3: a couple in my building that didn't leave their apartment
- 1:41Speaker 3: for six months, that I saw people in my lobby
- 1:44Speaker 3: wearing full hazmat suits, and that you know, the Biden
- 1:48Speaker 3: administration was telling everybody and Fauci was telling everybody to
- 1:52Speaker 3: get shot numbers six, seven, and eight. After already getting
- 1:55Speaker 3: to I said, what happened here? So instead, this isn't
- 1:58Speaker 3: a COVID book, to be clear, but that was just
- 2:00Speaker 3: the genesis of Hold on a minute. There's something that
- 2:04Speaker 3: can be done. There's a way that propaganda, there's a
- 2:07Speaker 3: way that minds can be manipulated.
- 2:10Speaker 2: That has to have a playbook.
- 2:12Speaker 3: There have to be tactics to this, And in my
- 2:15Speaker 3: research into that, I said, well, well, you know, I'm an
- 2:17Speaker 3: ex CIA guy. And there's some old CIA stories of
- 2:20Speaker 3: my mark that I've never talked about before, my first
- 2:23Speaker 3: deployment in Nigeria, my first deployment to Iraq, my first
- 2:26Speaker 3: We're also dealing with crazies, jihadis, phrases which praises in
- 2:31Speaker 3: a different context, and I learned about the radicalization cycle
- 2:35Speaker 3: from that experience firsthand. So I had some expertise in
- 2:39Speaker 3: radicalization from the CIA. But then I go back to
- 2:42Speaker 3: the beginnings of this historicpy I say, who is the
- 2:44Speaker 3: best at this the best at.
- 2:46Speaker 2: This evil thing of controlling minds?
- 2:49Speaker 3: And it's Nazi Germany, Stalinist Russia, Maoist China. And I
- 2:55Speaker 3: go to the origins of what we actually call brainwashing,
- 2:59Speaker 3: which the Nine Ees called thought reform, and which was
- 3:03Speaker 3: called menticide by a very esteemed information warfare psychiatrists for
- 3:09Speaker 3: the Second World War. So I break this down into
- 3:12Speaker 3: different tactics marks, so each chapter.
- 3:15Speaker 2: Someone can go and read. They can just jump in pretty.
- 3:17Speaker 3: Much and reach chapter three, they can reach chapter eight,
- 3:19Speaker 3: or they can read the whole thing start to finish,
- 3:21Speaker 3: and you'll learn about how people manipulate, how systems, how governments,
- 3:27Speaker 3: how individuals manipulate your mind and make you believe crazy things.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, at the same time, the media goes totally
- 3:35Speaker 1: corrupt about ten eleven years ago as Trump comes along,
- 3:38Speaker 1: totally biased. If we had real media, honest journalism, could
- 3:43Speaker 1: these manipulators get away with that stuff today?
- 3:47Speaker 2: Oh no, I mean they're a huge part of it.
- 3:49Speaker 3: And the back third of the book is really about propaganda,
- 3:54Speaker 3: disinformation and methods of control that are used. Well, look CNN,
- 4:00Speaker 3: you know, Jake Capper can't lock us all in cells
- 4:03Speaker 3: and make us write force confessions like they could in
- 4:06Speaker 3: Maoist China, but they can engage in, for example, forced phobia,
- 4:11Speaker 3: which I point out. You know, why was there this
- 4:14Speaker 3: you know, the COVID death counter was up on the
- 4:17Speaker 3: CNN screen? Or why is it that they tell us
- 4:20Speaker 3: that racism is such a This is very important for everyone.
- 4:24Speaker 2: I want people to understand the history of this mind manipulation.
- 4:27Speaker 3: So you learn that in the book. But it always
- 4:29Speaker 3: takes it to the present day. It takes us to
- 4:32Speaker 3: the gender transgender madness of right now, it takes us
- 4:37Speaker 3: to BLM.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I mean, Mark, how is it that when they would ask.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Average democrats how many unarmed black men do you think
- 4:44Speaker 3: the cops kill a year during the whole BLM madness
- 4:48Speaker 3: right to two point zero BLM right around twenty twenty
- 4:51Speaker 3: twenty twenty one, and.
- 4:53Speaker 2: They would say five to fifteen.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Thousand was the most common responstitutency mark the number was
- 4:58Speaker 3: like fifteen. You know, how do they make people believe
- 5:02Speaker 3: this stuff? CNN and others fire hose of falsehood. That's
- 5:07Speaker 3: one of the primary techniques. I get into the like
- 5:10Speaker 3: how CNN does this?
- 5:11Speaker 2: I think so. I think that's what people would really
- 5:13Speaker 2: take away from it.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a great book. It's called Manufacturing Delusion. You
- 5:17Speaker 1: should go to Amazon and order it right now. Manufacturing
- 5:21Speaker 1: Delusions by Buck Sexton. And I'm looking at Amazon, but
- 5:24Speaker 1: you got all these badges all of it, Amazon Bestseller,
- 5:27Speaker 1: Amazon Choice Amazon. That's pretty good. And if you've been
- 5:31Speaker 1: on a book tour doing all those stops.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Well, I've been very inundated and very grateful for it
- 5:38Speaker 3: with people who want me to go on and do
- 5:41Speaker 3: things on their shows. And I've obviously I've been on Fox,
- 5:43Speaker 3: and I've been on newsbacks, I've been on fantastic radio
- 5:46Speaker 3: programs like Yours which whenever I want to think of home,
- 5:50Speaker 3: which for me will always be New York. I listen
- 5:51Speaker 3: to Mark on wor reminds me of my life in
- 5:55Speaker 3: New York City.
- 5:56Speaker 2: But you know it's really Mark As.
- 5:58Speaker 3: You know now we're in such a virtual world where
- 6:01Speaker 3: you just want to get the message.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Out there online and out there from the big platforms
- 6:06Speaker 2: to everybody.
- 6:07Speaker 3: But you know, it's been really gratifying to see that
- 6:11Speaker 3: when you put a book out that makes sense to
- 6:13Speaker 3: people manufacturing delusion, people will learn history and manufacturing delusion.
- 6:18Speaker 2: People will learn tactics of what's going on around them.
- 6:21Speaker 3: And if you want to know, you know why you're crazy.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Neighbor Larry from Secaucus believes insane stuff that Nancy Pelosi says,
- 6:29Speaker 3: this book will.
- 6:31Speaker 2: Scientifically and historically explain that to you.
- 6:34Speaker 3: And so I think that's why Manufacturing Delusion is such
- 6:37Speaker 3: a good value proposition for people and why people should
- 6:40Speaker 3: get the book because it really has important stuff to
- 6:42Speaker 3: know and important takeaways.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Yeah, it's one of the most important subjects in the
- 6:45Speaker 1: world right now. Buck Secton's book is on Amazon Manufacturing Delusion.
- 6:50Speaker 1: But you're right, that's the most that's where we have
- 6:54Speaker 1: the most problem with it. To your friends, your neighbors,
- 6:56Speaker 1: your relatives. They'll argue with you till you're bloom. They're
- 6:59Speaker 1: bluing the face, that the Russian collusion was real, that
- 7:02Speaker 1: Trump was a pedophile on Epstein Island. So what can
- 7:06Speaker 1: you think all of that? You can't get through to
- 7:08Speaker 1: these people. They think MSNBC is a news network, they
- 7:11Speaker 1: think Jake Tapper is a news anchor. What can you
- 7:13Speaker 1: do about it?
- 7:14Speaker 3: Well, you know, the first step, mark is understanding what
- 7:17Speaker 3: the other side is doing and also knowing what you're
- 7:21Speaker 3: up against with somebody.
- 7:22Speaker 2: And this is what I tell people.
- 7:24Speaker 3: If someone's going to tell you the sky is purple,
- 7:27Speaker 3: you can sit there all day and point at it.
- 7:28Speaker 3: It's not going to change anything. And you need to
- 7:30Speaker 3: be able to identify when somebody has reached that point
- 7:33Speaker 3: where on an issue, someone may be very normal on
- 7:36Speaker 3: many things, but they could have been so propaganda, so brainwashed, brainwashed.
- 7:40Speaker 3: Did you point out there are still some people who
- 7:43Speaker 3: think that Jake Tapper is a really throwing Jake under
- 7:45Speaker 3: the bustle out today, but that he's an objective.
- 7:48Speaker 2: News anchor or.
- 7:49Speaker 3: There anyone at CNN is I mean, not to even
- 7:51Speaker 3: get on anyone individually. They're all fraudulently claiming to be
- 7:55Speaker 3: non partisan and not to be Democrat operators. But a
- 7:58Speaker 3: manufacturing delusion would I also get into is how you
- 8:01Speaker 3: can be aware of when this is being done to you,
- 8:04Speaker 3: because this is to fight against this. It always starts
- 8:07Speaker 3: with an individual recognizing the tactics, recognizing brainwashing, forced phobia,
- 8:14Speaker 3: identity construction, and you're like, what.
- 8:16Speaker 2: Are these things? Buck at manufacturing delusion? You'll understand.
- 8:19Speaker 3: You'll see these things in the media, You'll understand.
- 8:22Speaker 2: And look, I'm an XCIA guy. So some people go, oh, well,
- 8:25Speaker 2: how can we trust you about this stuff? Well, because
- 8:27Speaker 2: I know about this stuff.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I understand how governments do this, I understand how information
- 8:32Speaker 3: operations go. So in manufacturing delusion, it's like I give
- 8:36Speaker 3: you the playbook of the enemy, the enemy that wants
- 8:39Speaker 3: to control your mind, and then at the end I
- 8:41Speaker 3: walk you through here's how you see this stuff coming.
- 8:44Speaker 2: And the basic principle you always have to keep in
- 8:48Speaker 2: mind is live not by lies. The great quote from
- 8:51Speaker 2: Souls and Nets and the Soviet Dissident.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Anytime someone's lying to you or wants you to lie,
- 8:57Speaker 3: wants you to say that Bob is actually Susie.
- 9:00Speaker 2: He wants you to.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Say that yes, are all of our cops are racist
- 9:04Speaker 3: or something?
- 9:05Speaker 2: Then you know you're on guard.
- 9:07Speaker 3: Then you know you have to put up the defenses
- 9:09Speaker 3: because they're trying to manufacture a delusion in you. And
- 9:13Speaker 3: that's why this book is so important. That's why I
- 9:15Speaker 3: really want everyone. And you know, you got an audience
- 9:18Speaker 3: of readers. They listen to you, so they're smart people
- 9:20Speaker 3: with good taste. You got an audience of readers here.
- 9:22Speaker 3: It's a great book to buy, great book to get
- 9:24Speaker 3: a couple copies of. You can give it to your
- 9:26Speaker 3: crazy neighbor Larry and maybe then he won't be so crazy.
- 9:29Speaker 2: But please go out there, everyone. I really I have
- 9:32Speaker 2: not come.
- 9:32Speaker 3: Across anybody who's given me a shot here and actually
- 9:35Speaker 3: read this book, who has not found it? Really, it's quick,
- 9:39Speaker 3: it's two hundred and forty pages, give or take. It's
- 9:41Speaker 3: meant to be read in a weekend, and it's meant
- 9:43Speaker 3: to be something that people can reference and go back to.
- 9:45Speaker 2: You know, if you're watching MS now, which mark is?
- 9:48Speaker 3: You know? And I said to change the name because
- 9:52Speaker 3: their brand is so stinky. You could say, hold on,
- 9:54Speaker 3: I remember in manufacturing delusion.
- 9:57Speaker 2: What's that thing? Fire hose of falsehood.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Oh it's it doesn't even have to be a sophisticated lie.
- 10:02Speaker 3: It just has to be repeated so many times from
- 10:05Speaker 3: so many places that it undermines my ability to assess
- 10:09Speaker 3: what is true.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Oh, that's a tactic. That's a manufactured delusion.
- 10:14Speaker 3: And you go back and you see this right there
- 10:15Speaker 3: in the book, Like I say, the playbook of the
- 10:17Speaker 3: mind controllers laid out for you so that you.
- 10:20Speaker 2: Can fight back against this madness. And you'll also learn
- 10:22Speaker 2: some cool history.
- 10:23Speaker 3: You'll learn about the origins of the Assassin culture, learn
- 10:26Speaker 3: about Pavlov's dogs and what really happened with them, not
- 10:29Speaker 3: what people tell you in grammar school, but what really
- 10:31Speaker 3: Padlov was up to in those labs in the Soviet Union.
- 10:35Speaker 3: So it's just got a lot packed into a very
- 10:38Speaker 3: readable package.
- 10:39Speaker 1: It's great. It's a great book. Everybody, go get it.
- 10:41Speaker 1: It's on Amazon. Buck Sexton's new book, Manufacturing Delusion. You
