- 0:11Speaker 1: brand new movie that is called The Love Hypothesis. It's

- 0:22Speaker 1: much hype. So much. Lily did these two TikTok videos
- 0:27Speaker 1: announcing the movie. It's had more than 100 million views.
- 0:32Speaker 1: They're Would you say they're gagging on this?
- 0:34Speaker 2: Gagging.
- 0:35Speaker 1: They're gagging. The movie is called The Love Hypothesis. It's
- 0:39Speaker 1: a book as well. They're standing by in our London studio.
- 0:42Speaker 1: Let's get them on right now.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I accept your proposal to deceive your friend into believing
- 0:46Speaker 2: that I'm your love interest.
- 0:47Speaker 3: Sounds really bad when you put it like that.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Hey, this is Tom Bateman.
- 0:50Speaker 3: Hi, I'm Lily Reinhart.
- 0:51Speaker 1: What are they doing?
- 0:54Speaker 2: Please stop doing that.
- 0:55Speaker 3: It's called flirting.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Hello, Lily Reinhart, Tom Bateman. Hello to you both. Hi, hello.
- 1:00Speaker 1: Hello to you.
- 1:00Speaker 2: How's it going?
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm very good. How nervous are you with this movie
- 1:03Speaker 1: coming out? Because the BookTok girlies, they've got opinions. Do they?
- 1:09Speaker 1: They have opinions. Do they?
- 1:11Speaker 3: They certainly do. I don't feel nervous.
- 1:15Speaker 1: No.
- 1:16Speaker 3: Because there's nothing I could do to change... anything at
- 1:19Speaker 3: this point.
- 1:20Speaker 2: We are where we are and it is what it is.
- 1:22Speaker 2: I would say though, what I found, we just came
- 1:24Speaker 2: back from Brazil and, and so it was the first
- 1:27Speaker 2: time we got to like meet, meet the sort of
- 1:29Speaker 2: fans of the book and hopefully the film. They are
- 1:31Speaker 2: so beautifully enthusiastic about it. There's no sort of, there's
- 1:36Speaker 2: no sort of like, this is how we want it.
- 1:38Speaker 2: There was just love and enthusiasm for it and it really,
- 1:41Speaker 2: I thought, my God, it's so, we're so fortunate to
- 1:44Speaker 2: be able to play these characters that are so beloved
- 1:46Speaker 2: by such a, wonderful fan base they're not um they're
- 1:50Speaker 2: not it doesn't feel like they're saying mean stuff right
- 1:52Speaker 2: they just seem really excited about.
- 1:53Speaker 1: It so yeah not well nice i like that because
- 1:56Speaker 1: i think when it's a book when something starts out
- 1:58Speaker 1: as a book that has got like a cult following
- 2:01Speaker 1: uh people have the characters visualization the moments in their
- 2:05Speaker 1: head and how someone else sees that or how you
- 2:08Speaker 1: two can bring that to life can it can be
- 2:11Speaker 1: up for interpretation so i think everyone is sort of
- 2:14Speaker 1: excited to see how that's going to land Tom, you
- 2:17Speaker 1: are wearing a Notting Hill T-shirt. Dare I say, that
- 2:20Speaker 1: is my all-time favorite rom-com.
- 2:22Speaker 2: How could it not? I mean, it's one of the...
- 2:24Speaker 2: I find it's almost impossible to choose a favorite rom-com
- 2:26Speaker 2: or a favorite film, but no one does it like
- 2:29Speaker 2: Richard Curtis. He just manages. I think there's such sort
- 2:33Speaker 2: of lightness of touch, but like a beautiful depth to
- 2:36Speaker 2: all of his characters. You're aware this sort of heart breaks,
- 2:39Speaker 2: but you know it's all going to work out I
- 2:42Speaker 2: don't know he just holds life so beautifully I love
- 2:44Speaker 2: him and I thought.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Yeah Lily what's your favorite rom-com because you've been doing
- 2:47Speaker 1: these looks at the moment and damn girl you smoking.
- 2:50Speaker 3: Oh these looks I was like to where am I looking.
- 2:53Speaker 1: Oh no no you've been serving serving the looks thank.
- 2:56Speaker 3: You say serving looks thank you I I love I
- 3:00Speaker 3: love a lot of them I've said kind of a
- 3:02Speaker 3: different answer for For everything. I love Uptown Girls. I
- 3:06Speaker 3: love 13 Going on 30. I love, of course, can't
- 3:10Speaker 3: think of any other ones right now, but also just Rome.
- 3:13Speaker 1: Random fact for you, here in Australia, we called 13
- 3:16Speaker 1: Going on 30 Suddenly 30 here in Australia. For some reason,
- 3:20Speaker 1: they changed the name in Australia. Yeah, it's weird, right?
- 3:23Speaker 1: Like we got a different version of the movie title.
- 3:25Speaker 1: That also makes sense.
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that makes sense.
- 3:28Speaker 2: You guys do like to abbreviate words, though, hey?
- 3:30Speaker 1: Oh, we drop... Oh, yeah. We drop everything. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 3:35Speaker 1: We don't follow through with anything.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Something about 30.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Something. Absolutely.
- 3:40Speaker 2: Something 30.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I'm sure you've been asked about this, but I'm going
- 3:44Speaker 1: to ask anyway. Chapter 16. Are you holding the book
- 3:47Speaker 1: in your hand there? Because as you... Yeah, because I
- 3:50Speaker 1: am a book talk girly.
- 3:51Speaker 3: You're a book talk girly, yeah.
- 3:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm a book talk girly.
- 3:54Speaker 2: Looks like he's doing an audio book of it.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Her thighs tremble. She tried to open them wider to
- 3:59Speaker 1: invite him inside. Maybe you should. Tell me. I could
- 4:04Speaker 1: do sexier if you'd like. Oh, please. She nodded. They
- 4:07Speaker 1: were two days to kiss with any kind of coordination
- 4:10Speaker 1: by this point. Tell me. People are anxious to see
- 4:12Speaker 1: how this comes to life. What was it like making
- 4:15Speaker 1: that scene? Um... You both lost for words.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Well, there was a.
- 4:22Speaker 3: Lot that went into it. It was sort of a
- 4:25Speaker 3: lot of preparation. We got together the weekend before we
- 4:28Speaker 3: blocked it out. It's always, and I, you know, you
- 4:31Speaker 3: hear people, actors say this all the time, but it
- 4:33Speaker 3: really is a very choreographed thing. It's, it was not
- 4:37Speaker 3: super specific on the page. So it was sort of, we,
- 4:39Speaker 3: we went in with our intimacy coordinator and with Claire,
- 4:42Speaker 3: our director, we basically just broke it down into however
- 4:46Speaker 3: many beats there were. And, um, I don't know. I
- 4:50Speaker 3: wanted to say it took our time making sure it
- 4:54Speaker 3: felt right. And it mostly actually the scene leading up
- 4:57Speaker 3: to it was the more important part to us because
- 5:00Speaker 3: that's sort of where the emotions are building. And then
- 5:03Speaker 3: so the actual coming together part and being physical with
- 5:06Speaker 3: one another.
- 5:07Speaker 1: I agree.
- 5:08Speaker 3: Was, you know, I don't know.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Yeah, it was great because also, you know, you remember,
- 5:15Speaker 2: like the reason it's such an important moment in the
- 5:17Speaker 2: book and it's like what we're waiting for is these
- 5:19Speaker 2: two people to finally be together acting as actors. Of course,
- 5:22Speaker 2: there's the element of like, oh, you know, you're doing
- 5:24Speaker 2: an intimate scene, but we're so well known. protected now
- 5:28Speaker 2: and looked after and it's such a collaboration with intimacy
- 5:31Speaker 2: coordinators it's looked at just like any other scene you
- 5:33Speaker 2: know so um.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Dare i say dare i say it's very unsexy albeit
- 5:37Speaker 1: it comes together being very sexy yeah.
- 5:39Speaker 3: Thank god for the editing process because it's really broken
- 5:43Speaker 3: up in such small bite-sized little shots of course and
- 5:47Speaker 3: especially when there's nudity you sort of have you you
- 5:50Speaker 3: should or have to do it that way so.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Well congratulations to you both I'm just going to go
- 5:55Speaker 1: finish this right now. Yeah, go finish that book. Please
- 5:58Speaker 1: come to Australia sometime. We would love to have you here,
- 6:00Speaker 1: all right, both of you?
- 6:01Speaker 3: We would love to come sometime.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Thank you.
