- 1:31Speaker 1: twenty one years old, yeah, and they and she lives
- 1:34Speaker 1: rent free, and she fucking leaves dishes in the sink,

- 1:44Speaker 1: of it. It's not that we still feel like she

- 2:15Speaker 1: I went out and got me an Oculus Quest two Yes.
- 2:20Speaker 1: And then I learned that the game that I wanted
- 2:22Speaker 1: to play on the Oculus Quest two doesn't come with
- 2:25Speaker 1: the Oculus Quest two. You need a PC. The Stars
- 2:29Speaker 1: Classic Donald story ever, I went Donald Donald finds a
- 2:33Speaker 1: hobby and then gets into it and then has to
- 2:36Speaker 1: buy every single thing you could ever need for the hobby.
- 2:40Speaker 1: You bought a flight chair, didn't you. I did buy
- 2:42Speaker 1: a flight chair. Stop. Is it in the house? Not yet,
- 2:49Speaker 1: it's not here. You should start doing the podcast from
- 2:52Speaker 1: the flight chair, please? That might that might be might
- 2:55Speaker 1: be with the from the flight chair with the goggles
- 2:59Speaker 1: on playing the game. I really feel like we should
- 3:03Speaker 1: get a four link going, get on this game, pilot
- 3:06Speaker 1: around a little bit and do the podcast from the
- 3:09Speaker 1: But I'm saying, can't we we should do an episode
- 3:12Speaker 1: of the podcast where we're all with our goggles on
- 3:14Speaker 1: in a virtual room together talking. I think that would
- 3:17Speaker 1: be fun. We can do that. We can are They're
- 3:20Speaker 1: like hang out rooms, Daniel, Yes, and my big screen
- 3:24Speaker 1: it is great for this. And my avatar can show
- 3:26Speaker 1: up in this yep, and I'll be able to touch
- 3:29Speaker 1: him while I feel him. I mean, you know, the
- 3:33Speaker 1: haptics are okay, they're not. That's the next step. We
- 3:35Speaker 1: feel we could totally do virtual sex, dude, you and yeah,
- 3:39Speaker 1: that's not that's not I don't think it's. I don't
- 3:41Speaker 1: think it's I think our women would be okay if
- 3:44Speaker 1: we just grow up each other in virtual space, right,
- 3:46Speaker 1: I think it's I think I think it's not. I
- 3:49Speaker 1: don't think it's cheating. If I penetrate you, I don't
- 3:52Speaker 1: know whoa whoa Joel, you're the expert on this. If
- 3:56Speaker 1: d Wan, if Dwan, if Donald must have been my
- 4:00Speaker 1: dream last night, If Donald virtually penetrates me, is it
- 4:04Speaker 1: is it cheating? Is it cheating? Uh? That depends on
- 4:09Speaker 1: the boundaries you've set with your partner. You know. I
- 4:12Speaker 1: feel like I can totally see some people being like, no,
- 4:15Speaker 1: even virtually, I don't want you having relationships. I feel
- 4:18Speaker 1: other people would be like, thank god, no, no, no, no, no,
- 4:20Speaker 1: we didn't say. We didn't say relationship too far. If
- 4:25Speaker 1: you penetrate someone, you're in you have some form of relationship.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Maybe you guys are not boyfriend girlfriend, you are having
- 4:30Speaker 1: We are a relationship. We might have fends. But in
- 4:36Speaker 1: all seriousness, don't they have like virtual not virtual, but
- 4:40Speaker 1: but but things that connect to your computer that simulate
- 4:43Speaker 1: the female anatomy. Oh, I don't know they do. It's
- 4:48Speaker 1: with apps that I think there are things you guys,
- 4:53Speaker 1: that contract and and simulate the female anatomy. And then
- 4:59Speaker 1: you go in the app and in the virtual world,
- 5:01Speaker 1: and your and you and you and you feel it.
- 5:04Speaker 1: It does not if this, if this doesn't sist. If
- 5:07Speaker 1: this everyone is appropriate. It gives you, guys, as a
- 5:10Speaker 1: present Christmas is coming if it exists. By the way,
- 5:17Speaker 1: knowing Donald, because he's outfitting a whole room with virtual gear.
- 5:21Speaker 1: This is probably already in the mail. But if it's not,
- 5:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna buy it for you today. Is you're a
- 5:24Speaker 1: Christmas present, This would make my Christmas. It would make
- 5:28Speaker 1: my wife's Christmas too, yeah, because she'd be like, go yeah, yeah,
- 5:31Speaker 1: see Casey would be like, listen, leave me the fuck alone,
- 5:34Speaker 1: go bang a virtual girl. Right, where is that? All
- 5:40Speaker 1: of a sudden, Donald Donald sliding into my DM's like, yo, yo,
- 5:43Speaker 1: you want to meet up in virtual world? Wow? Oh,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I'm like, chill, bro broke back, virtual broke back virtual?
- 5:51Speaker 1: Oh my god, like you in the virtual world. Yeah,
- 5:55Speaker 1: we get We get up in the virtual WORLDLD ten.
- 5:57Speaker 1: We're in a tent and we're fucking we have cattle
- 5:59Speaker 1: to deal with than sh and fire, virtual hunting together,
- 6:07Speaker 1: and then we virtual fucking Then I'm like, why can't
- 6:09Speaker 1: I quit you? Yeah? Oh my god. By the way,
- 6:12Speaker 1: if you're a game producer out there looking for content,
- 6:15Speaker 1: I think virtual program is good fucking especially if they
- 6:22Speaker 1: have this fake Majigi, which I'm gonna look up. Somebody
- 6:25Speaker 1: should be googling that. Joelle, please welcome the program. Spare welcome.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Joelle's afraid of google it because she doesn't want that
- 6:34Speaker 1: ship coming up on her. Do you ever google? Do
- 6:36Speaker 1: you ever google something embarrassing? And then you're on all
- 6:39Speaker 1: those other pages and the ad starts coming up on
- 6:41Speaker 1: other pages. It's hard, but I was I've never done that.
- 6:45Speaker 1: But I was once on porn hub, like the night before,
- 6:48Speaker 1: and I didn't, you know, cancel out on the porn
- 6:51Speaker 1: hub thing. And somebody was like, yo, uh such and
- 6:55Speaker 1: such and such and such. I was like, how no, man,
- 6:57Speaker 1: that didn't happen. Watch let me google it. Yeah, And
- 7:00Speaker 1: I opened up my phone and it was on porn
- 7:03Speaker 1: hub and some dirty shit, and I was like and
- 7:07Speaker 1: I looked at the person, the person looked at me,
- 7:09Speaker 1: and then there was like that understanding, like, oh you
- 7:11Speaker 1: porn Hub two, you want to season you listen now,
- 7:16Speaker 1: this conversation might not make it. You ever want to
- 7:18Speaker 1: see somebody see if people watch porn in a when
- 7:23Speaker 1: the world opens back up and we are in a
- 7:25Speaker 1: crowded space. Again, all you have to do is this depressors.
- 7:32Speaker 1: Somebody looks up. I guarantee somebody will look up like what,
- 7:35Speaker 1: and then you guys will have a moment of laughing.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I'm guessing that's the brand of porn you like the
- 7:40Speaker 1: most tunnel No, but that's the easy like, look, there's
- 7:44Speaker 1: this whole There were these whole challenges that were up
- 7:46Speaker 1: on Instagram where you know, young kids had uh drum
- 7:51Speaker 1: sets and they would do this drum beat that comes
- 7:54Speaker 1: with porn hub. You know what porn hub shuf doom
- 7:57Speaker 1: do and it does the beat whatever the beat is.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Kids were doing that in front of their dad's like, yo, dad,
- 8:02Speaker 1: check out this beat I learned. And they did the
- 8:04Speaker 1: beat and then the dad's reaction would be like yeah,
- 8:09Speaker 1: and then the dad and the sun would have the
- 8:11Speaker 1: moment like oh shit, you know I never saw that.
- 8:16Speaker 1: By the way, welcome everybody the program. We're very excited
- 8:19Speaker 1: to have you. We have Tara read on today, don't
- 8:21Speaker 1: we got Yeah? Shall we bring her in? Let's do it.
- 8:25Speaker 1: She gets here, Oh she's not here yet. Oh she's
- 8:27Speaker 1: not here yet. Oh she's fashionably late. You know a
- 8:30Speaker 1: lot of star types can be fashionably late. Donald, maybe
- 8:34Speaker 1: Tari read is fashionably late. They like to be a
- 8:36Speaker 1: little late. They like to make us wait. She looks
- 8:38Speaker 1: great in this episode, by the way. She looks so
- 8:40Speaker 1: beautiful and I had This episode has a lot of
- 8:43Speaker 1: funny stuff in it, a lot of classics, a lot
- 8:46Speaker 1: of classics in this episode. So you want to do
- 8:49Speaker 1: you want to do while we wait for Tara? Do
- 8:50Speaker 1: you want to get into your to your recap? Yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 1: but before we do that, let's get into we made
- 9:00Speaker 1: a lot of bunch of docs nurses story. So gat
- 9:10Speaker 1: around here, gat around here. All right, let's let's see.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I'm gonna put my timer on you ready, yep, on
- 9:26Speaker 1: your marks, gets set go. Doctor Cox is feeling his
- 9:29Speaker 1: new position at work, and he knows if he gets
- 9:31Speaker 1: JD and him on the same page, the rest of
- 9:34Speaker 1: the team will fall in line. Jad is still so
- 9:37Speaker 1: in love with Elliott and can't recognize the hot new
- 9:39Speaker 1: girl in the hospital played by Tara Reid, who has
- 9:42Speaker 1: a bit of a crush on him. Carlo's brother Marco
- 9:45Speaker 1: played by Freddie Rodriguez, is in town. Carlos so happy,
- 9:48Speaker 1: but her brother and Turk don't get along. Turk learns
- 9:50Speaker 1: Marco has a secret and can't wait for Carla to
- 9:53Speaker 1: find out. We're all caught off guard when something unexpected happens.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Most people fear the unexpected because it can throw a
- 9:59Speaker 1: monkey wrench in your ship and turn your world upside down.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I feel like we're most powerful when we embrace the unexpected.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Although it can be scary, it's usually the beginning of
- 10:09Speaker 1: a new adventure. Well said, the unexpected is scary, Donald,
- 10:15Speaker 1: It's one of the most scariest things that we get.
- 10:17Speaker 1: We get into comfort zones and we like the way
- 10:20Speaker 1: we feel in our comfort zone. And then no matter
- 10:23Speaker 1: what it is, whether it's a new relationship or a
- 10:25Speaker 1: new job, or a baby or anything it's it puts
- 10:30Speaker 1: us in an uncomfortable place, and we don't like it,
- 10:32Speaker 1: and we want to crawl back into our proverbial fetal position. Yeah,
- 10:36Speaker 1: but you you're more powerful when you can roll with
- 10:40Speaker 1: the unexpected. A change happens and you got the and
- 10:43Speaker 1: you have the ability to adapt, and you run towards it,
- 10:46Speaker 1: you get you manifest excitement about it. Right. That makes
- 10:50Speaker 1: you way more powerful than being afraid of you know,
- 10:54Speaker 1: the inevitable, Yes, which is something new is going to happen.
- 10:57Speaker 1: I think Elliott is so frigging in sensitive in this episode.
- 11:01Speaker 1: She is. She is teasing him left and right. She
- 11:05Speaker 1: is not empathetic at all at him all. I truly
- 11:10Speaker 1: don't think she knows how he feels any Come on, buddy,
- 11:14Speaker 1: she knows she's cuddling up to him. She's she I
- 11:17Speaker 1: don't know. It just made me. It made me mad
- 11:19Speaker 1: at her. I was like, I felt bad for JD
- 11:21Speaker 1: because he's so has feelings for her and she's so oblivious.
- 11:27Speaker 1: But I don't think she's I don't know. I just
- 11:29Speaker 1: what woman would be that oblivious. She's she's just like
- 11:32Speaker 1: cuddling up to him and licking his face and there's
- 11:35Speaker 1: no other room in another bed. Let me spoon you.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Oh it's Sean. Oh can I cut you out of
- 11:39Speaker 1: a picture? For Sean? Like, I don't know, I just
- 11:41Speaker 1: thought she was she was insensitive. Yeah, but she might
- 11:47Speaker 1: have been insensitive. But that scene with Rob on the
- 11:49Speaker 1: mat on the top, it's one of the greatest scenes.
- 11:53Speaker 1: I've often said, that's one. Is she here, Daniel? Yes,
- 11:56Speaker 1: all right, let's invite the terror read in my god,
- 12:02Speaker 1: Oh my god. Yeah, Hi Hello, Tara Ko Hi Donna,
- 12:19Speaker 1: Hi girl, how you doing a lot of You don't
- 12:22Speaker 1: know this, but Tara Read and I went to high
- 12:24Speaker 1: school together, and we were high school at the Performing
- 12:27Speaker 1: Arts School. No, it wasn't the Performing Arts School. It
- 12:30Speaker 1: was the Professional Children's School. It's a big night. There's
- 12:33Speaker 1: a difference between the Performing Arts School, which is the
- 12:36Speaker 1: same school. Right. You guys didn't dance on cabs, No
- 12:40Speaker 1: we did not. We had it. But he used to
- 12:43Speaker 1: sing and do hip hop on the church stairs. Now, Tara,
- 12:48Speaker 1: we're so happy you're here. We were very excited because
- 12:52Speaker 1: I didn't realize how many episodes you did. You did
- 12:54Speaker 1: a whole bunch of episodes, and I saw Zach. We
- 12:57Speaker 1: almost were the same outfit. I was gonna wear my
- 13:00Speaker 1: blackadies jumpsuit. That would have been even dover. Yeah, but Tara,
- 13:04Speaker 1: you did a bunch of episodes, and I think it's
- 13:06Speaker 1: because you were so far. I mean, that's a good
- 13:08Speaker 1: sign because when you do that many episodes, it means
- 13:11Speaker 1: Bill obviously thought you were hilarious and kept having more
- 13:13Speaker 1: and more for you to do. But but this was
- 13:16Speaker 1: your first This was your first one, and so I'm
- 13:18Speaker 1: so glad you're here to come on and I'm so
- 13:20Speaker 1: glad you said yes, yeah, absolutely, I'd love you guys.
- 13:24Speaker 1: And when I found out as you and Donald's had nickname.
- 13:27Speaker 1: By the way, is soon talked about that. Tara, what
- 13:32Speaker 1: was Donald like in high school? Because I didn't know
- 13:35Speaker 1: that you guys went to school together, and I just
- 13:37Speaker 1: I just can't I can't imagine. I mean, I can't imagine.
- 13:40Speaker 1: But tell us Donald was We had so much fun
- 13:43Speaker 1: in high school. He actually was one of the only
- 13:45Speaker 1: people that went to my house in New Jersey. I
- 13:48Speaker 1: was one of the only people that went to your
- 13:49Speaker 1: house in New Jersey. And did that come about? Wait?
- 13:51Speaker 1: How did that come about? So I had already been
- 13:54Speaker 1: at the school for like a year or two. I
- 13:57Speaker 1: think it might have been my sophomore. In my junior
- 13:59Speaker 1: year was a freshman, and she came in And I
- 14:02Speaker 1: remember the first day Tara came in and she dressed
- 14:04Speaker 1: like she was from Jersey, you know what I mean,
- 14:06Speaker 1: Like she had from Jersey dress. What the hell is
- 14:09Speaker 1: that mean? Her hair was highest, she had the biggest
- 14:15Speaker 1: hair you've ever seen in your life. Okay, that's that
- 14:18Speaker 1: kind of Jersey we're all in, We're all from Manhattan.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I was just like who is that girl right there?
- 14:24Speaker 1: And so Tara, I actually we hung out the I
- 14:28Speaker 1: think she stayed at the school. You stayed at school
- 14:30Speaker 1: for a year. Yeah, I think it was a year
- 14:33Speaker 1: or two years, year or two. But we hung out
- 14:35Speaker 1: for the whole time that she was there. And then
- 14:37Speaker 1: she moved to Los Angeles, and I remember hanging out
- 14:40Speaker 1: with like, uh, I think keV Jordan's and my friend
- 14:43Speaker 1: Brad Kane. These are guys at all, or were in
- 14:46Speaker 1: the industry or are in the industry right now. We
- 14:49Speaker 1: went and saw The Big Lebowski, not knowing that Tara
- 14:53Speaker 1: was in it. Oh my god, she showed up on
- 14:55Speaker 1: screen and I was like, yo, get the fuck. Holy shit,
- 15:00Speaker 1: Tara made it, you know what I mean? He was
- 15:03Speaker 1: the first person out of all of us, like none
- 15:05Speaker 1: of us were really working at the time, like myself,
- 15:08Speaker 1: dash myhawk. Tara, do you remember that Starry Paul's Donald
- 15:12Speaker 1: Tara was Big Lebowski? Your big break was that? Your
- 15:14Speaker 1: first big part? For sure? I mean my first movie
- 15:18Speaker 1: was based on a even King movie and I was
- 15:22Speaker 1: seven years old than that one. But then I did
- 15:24Speaker 1: some TV stuff, but the first real break was The
- 15:26Speaker 1: Big Lebowski, and that's what broke me out to get
- 15:29Speaker 1: everything else but The Big Lebowski the addition for that.
- 15:33Speaker 1: I remember the final addition and I see I'm sitting
- 15:36Speaker 1: in the waiting room and I see Charlie's throne come in,
- 15:40Speaker 1: and I see Live Tyler come in, and I'm like,
- 15:42Speaker 1: there's no way of getting this part. Not get a chance.
- 15:46Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, like three days later,
- 15:49Speaker 1: they're like, you got the part, And I was like,
- 15:51Speaker 1: are you kidding me? It's such an iconic part. I mean,
- 15:55Speaker 1: that is that is so many people I know his
- 15:58Speaker 1: favorite movie and like, I mean, it's just such what
- 16:00Speaker 1: a cool film to have been a part of and
- 16:03Speaker 1: to have been such a like an important character in
- 16:05Speaker 1: the movie. Yeah, I mean definitely. When we were shooting it,
- 16:09Speaker 1: you knew, especially because all the actors that were in it,
- 16:11Speaker 1: and you know, it was just great. But no one
- 16:14Speaker 1: knew it was going to be such a cult film.
- 16:16Speaker 1: You know, it really became a cult final You've been
- 16:19Speaker 1: You've been in a bunch of cult classics. Now you
- 16:22Speaker 1: know you're you're cult classic status is like on another level,
- 16:26Speaker 1: You've been in so many movies that people are like, yo,
- 16:28Speaker 1: you've seen this and and and people be like, no,
- 16:30Speaker 1: I'm saying. They'll be like, yo, you've got to see
- 16:31Speaker 1: this movie. Yeah. Well, American Pie was, of course one
- 16:35Speaker 1: classic cult classic, freaking big Lebowski cult classic, cult classic,
- 16:42Speaker 1: and you were in it. You're in it. I am
- 16:44Speaker 1: in that. Yeah. Deborah Kaplan and and Harry Alfhon directed
- 16:49Speaker 1: Can Hardly Wait, and they also directed Josie and the Pussycats,
- 16:52Speaker 1: and I was in both of those small roles, cameo roles.
- 16:56Speaker 1: But Tara was in net cult classic. And then she
- 16:58Speaker 1: did another movie called Shark. You know, you ought to
- 17:01Speaker 1: be one of the biggest cult classics in the history
- 17:04Speaker 1: of Clay Tara. People love these movies. You guys have
- 17:07Speaker 1: made so many of them. Huh. Yeah. I mean when
- 17:10Speaker 1: we first got the movie, it was called Dark Skies
- 17:14Speaker 1: and we're like, okay, we can deal with that because
- 17:17Speaker 1: we knew it was so cheesy. And I thought, okay, well,
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'll just take the money and run on this one.
- 17:20Speaker 1: No one's ever gonna see it, That's what I thought. Then,
- 17:24Speaker 1: like the second day of shooting, all of a sudden,
- 17:26Speaker 1: they say, oh, Tara, we're naming the movie to Shark Nato.
- 17:30Speaker 1: She's like, no, you can't do that. It's gonna ruin everything.
- 17:34Speaker 1: It's the worst thing. Everyone the phone, I aging them.
- 17:37Speaker 1: They can't change a name of Sharknado. It's gonna be
- 17:40Speaker 1: the waters crying. And then all of a sudden, I'm
- 17:45Speaker 1: in Mexico on vacation and never I didn't even know.
- 17:49Speaker 1: We did no press for it. I didn't even know
- 17:50Speaker 1: it was coming out. And my phone keeps ringing and
- 17:53Speaker 1: ringing and ringing, and they're calling me and they're gonna,
- 17:56Speaker 1: you won't believe what happened, Like, what happened? I think
- 17:59Speaker 1: somebody happened, family or everyone's calling. And then they're like,
- 18:03Speaker 1: Shark Nado is number one. It's training completely. We're getting
- 18:08Speaker 1: a million tweets per minute. I was like. And then
- 18:13Speaker 1: I get on the airplane to come home and the
- 18:16Speaker 1: steward the stewardess comes up to me. He's like, I
- 18:18Speaker 1: love your movie, so of course I think you know
- 18:21Speaker 1: American Pie and then he goes, Shark Nado, are you crazy?
- 18:30Speaker 1: It's so funny. People love it. I think people just
- 18:32Speaker 1: love camp and horror. I mean it has everything. It's
- 18:36Speaker 1: like so many things that people love all combined into
- 18:38Speaker 1: one thing. But this this totally goes with our thing.
- 18:41Speaker 1: We were talking about the unexpected today and how the
- 18:43Speaker 1: unexpected can be very fearful. But I feel like you're
- 18:47Speaker 1: a you're a hero, and you have more power when
- 18:50Speaker 1: you embrace the unexpected and you charge towards it. As
- 18:53Speaker 1: Zach said earlier, And you know, shark Nado is one
- 18:56Speaker 1: of those moments where you're like, I'm just gonna take
- 18:58Speaker 1: the money and run, and then une affectedly you picked
- 19:00Speaker 1: something that turned out to be one of the biggest
- 19:03Speaker 1: hits of the year, of the decade, you know what
- 19:06Speaker 1: I mean. And so so they just keep getting more
- 19:08Speaker 1: and more outrageous terror because I've only seen shark and
- 19:11Speaker 1: I saw one. I saw one. He rides a fucking
- 19:13Speaker 1: shark and what with the chainsaw in his hand, and
- 19:19Speaker 1: he rides it like it's a bucking bronco and he's
- 19:22Speaker 1: slicing sharks as he's falling to the ground from like
- 19:26Speaker 1: a giant skyscraper. He rides a shark down and then
- 19:30Speaker 1: lands on the ground. Afterwards, I am zering. You guys
- 19:34Speaker 1: supposed to be be laughing so hard. It was amazing because
- 19:37Speaker 1: then I became like I was human in the beginning,
- 19:39Speaker 1: but then I became the I was missing and they
- 19:42Speaker 1: couldn't find me because I lost my arms and all
- 19:46Speaker 1: this stuff. And then I become like the bionic woman,
- 19:48Speaker 1: so all of me is like fake. I'm like a robot,
- 19:51Speaker 1: you know, I mean, and so I could fly, I
- 19:54Speaker 1: could do all these crazy things that you would never imagine.
- 19:57Speaker 1: And I can run faster than speeding. I mean, it's
- 20:00Speaker 1: his it's outrageous. And then I kill these sharks. And
- 20:04Speaker 1: then when Ian asked me to marry marry him, I'm like,
- 20:06Speaker 1: on the Eiffel Tower, we really shot this because she
- 20:09Speaker 1: knew would love this. There's one scene in the movie
- 20:12Speaker 1: where we're in New York City, which was the coolest
- 20:14Speaker 1: thing to shoot in New York City, and there's this
- 20:17Speaker 1: fire truck and so I Ain't gets on this fire
- 20:21Speaker 1: truck with his saw. He's like, we're in New York City.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Let's go people. We love it, you know. And then
- 20:27Speaker 1: the regular people that were coming by, not extras or anything,
- 20:31Speaker 1: They're like, yeah, New York we stick together. Like if
- 20:35Speaker 1: it's the craziest thing you've ever seen, I believe it.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I believe Yeah. I remember three things in my life
- 20:42Speaker 1: that are very important in my life, and you're part
- 20:45Speaker 1: of two of them. Right before you go into this,
- 20:47Speaker 1: because this is gonna be juicy. That's a tease for
- 20:49Speaker 1: the audience. We're gonna take a quick break and we'll
- 20:51Speaker 1: be right back with the terrory. And were but two
- 21:04Speaker 1: things in my life, two things in my life that
- 21:06Speaker 1: are really big moments in my life and important moments
- 21:09Speaker 1: in my life, and terrors are part of it. My
- 21:11Speaker 1: first time ever falling asleep on set was on the
- 21:14Speaker 1: Clueless set. Right, fell asleep and we were doing the
- 21:17Speaker 1: party scene. Even show the movie, the movie, and to
- 21:21Speaker 1: fall asleep on a set, you gotta be really brave.
- 21:24Speaker 1: But maybe I wasn't in Clueless. I know you weren't
- 21:27Speaker 1: in Clueless, but you showed up at the party scene.
- 21:29Speaker 1: Oh yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, you showed up. So
- 21:36Speaker 1: I'm sleeping on a freaking like a chair and we're
- 21:39Speaker 1: shooting the movie and somebody's like showed the wake up
- 21:43Speaker 1: and I opened my eyes and Terror standing in front
- 21:46Speaker 1: of me, standing over me, and I'm like, what the
- 21:48Speaker 1: fuck are you doing here? And she's like hey, and
- 21:51Speaker 1: I was like, holy shit, right, And it was a
- 21:53Speaker 1: big moment for me because it takes it. You gotta
- 21:56Speaker 1: have trust to fall asleep on a set, first of all,
- 21:58Speaker 1: because people will fuck with you. One. Two. It was
- 22:02Speaker 1: a big moment because it was it was my big
- 22:03Speaker 1: break and it was a huge movie. And I knew
- 22:06Speaker 1: at this point, I didn't know it was going to
- 22:08Speaker 1: be huge, but I knew that I was in Los
- 22:10Speaker 1: Angeles and I made it, and my one friend that
- 22:11Speaker 1: had made it in Los Angeles is waking me up
- 22:15Speaker 1: on set, and I was like, holy shit, this is serendipitous.
- 22:17Speaker 1: This is this has to be this is this has
- 22:20Speaker 1: to be Uh, this has to be fate. She's gonna
- 22:25Speaker 1: give me some of that big Lembowski juice, right, some
- 22:28Speaker 1: of that juice, some of that, some of that, some
- 22:29Speaker 1: of that, some of that. Can I tell him? Can
- 22:31Speaker 1: I tell him the story about being in your apartment
- 22:34Speaker 1: when were the gun shooting? Oh? God, yeah. So I
- 22:40Speaker 1: go over to me, like, don I'll let me go
- 22:43Speaker 1: to his house and it's just me and Hammer hanging out. No,
- 22:45Speaker 1: it's more than just me and you. It's me, you
- 22:48Speaker 1: and some of the casts from the Mickey Mouse Club.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Like I don't know how it turned out to be
- 22:52Speaker 1: this We were hanging out with like Chase Hampton and
- 22:54Speaker 1: Damon from the Mickey Mouse Club, and it was like
- 22:58Speaker 1: those two and a couple of the people, and we're
- 23:01Speaker 1: at my house in Hollywood. I just moved. It was
- 23:03Speaker 1: all a famous actress at the time, right, I just
- 23:06Speaker 1: moved to Los Angeles? Right, Let her tell the story,
- 23:08Speaker 1: don't hidjack it all right, go ahead, Tara. So we
- 23:10Speaker 1: go to his house and we're hanging out and we're
- 23:12Speaker 1: all having fun, and then all of a sudden at
- 23:15Speaker 1: Norah in front of his house, and and Donna's like duck.
- 23:23Speaker 1: We're all laying on the ground like like it was
- 23:26Speaker 1: the scariest we've ever seen. And all of a sudden
- 23:28Speaker 1: he knew what to do. He's like duck, laying the ground.
- 23:30Speaker 1: And then all of a sudden, after the shots, he's
- 23:33Speaker 1: crawling like towards the window to peek through because we
- 23:36Speaker 1: didn't know it was right in front of his building.
- 23:38Speaker 1: So we're peeking through if they're gone or not, you know.
- 23:40Speaker 1: And and we after that, we laid on the floor
- 23:43Speaker 1: and all of us laughed so hard because we couldn't
- 23:46Speaker 1: believe what just happened. It was they were still alive. Yeah, yeah,
- 23:50Speaker 1: all right, you left a couple of parts out Tara.
- 23:53Speaker 1: So we're hanging out and somebody goes, yo, this is
- 23:56Speaker 1: a really dangerous neighborhood. I'm like, get the funk out
- 23:58Speaker 1: of here. This is not a dangerous neighborhood. I'm from
- 24:00Speaker 1: a dangerous neighborhood. This isn't a dangerous from Hell's kitchen.
- 24:03Speaker 1: From right, I'm from Hell's kitchen. Everybody get down. So
- 24:08Speaker 1: we get on the ground. And now I'm on the
- 24:10Speaker 1: ground and I'm looking at terror and Tara's balling crying,
- 24:13Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh god, oh god, oh god. I
- 24:15Speaker 1: bought Tari over broke. I brought Tario over to my house.
- 24:19Speaker 1: She's probably got shot or some shit like that, she's
- 24:21Speaker 1: gonna die. And everything calms down. We all get up
- 24:25Speaker 1: and we're looking around, and I'm like, yo, that was
- 24:27Speaker 1: the funniest shit ever. I just said that this wasn't
- 24:30Speaker 1: a scary neighborhood, that this was Hell's kitchen, and out
- 24:32Speaker 1: of nowhere. And then right as I said out of nowhere,
- 24:35Speaker 1: once again, retaliation comes. Oh really it was more. Oh
- 24:40Speaker 1: it was crazy. But we jumped to the ground again, right,
- 24:43Speaker 1: And now I'm laughing. I'm laughing so hard. Right, I'm
- 24:47Speaker 1: stoned out of my mind and I'm freaking laughing at
- 24:50Speaker 1: gunshots outside my window. Dude, Yeah, laughing so hard. This
- 24:55Speaker 1: the story doesn't have a climactic ending other than the
- 24:59Speaker 1: fact that we s vibed it. The climactic ending is
- 25:03Speaker 1: that you survived to drive by and you didn't get
- 25:05Speaker 1: Tara Reid killed, right, and I didn't. I got it
- 25:07Speaker 1: to get taried. Wasn't there a story you told me
- 25:09Speaker 1: once Donald where you you went over to Terror's house
- 25:13Speaker 1: and had moonshine for the first time. Yes. Story. So
- 25:18Speaker 1: we were in high school and it was Tara's Tara
- 25:22Speaker 1: was sixteen, it was her sweet sixteen, and I guess
- 25:24Speaker 1: I was a senior and She's like, Yo, come to
- 25:27Speaker 1: my house in Jersey. I'm throwing a party and all
- 25:30Speaker 1: my friends from Jersey gonna be there. And like I said,
- 25:33Speaker 1: Tara and I were close in high school. So there
- 25:35Speaker 1: was like me, her and then cousin. Well, it wasn't Jamal,
- 25:41Speaker 1: it was It wasn't Terrence Howard. It was Jamal. Yeah,
- 25:45Speaker 1: my buddy Jamal and one other person. We go over
- 25:47Speaker 1: to Terra's house and so we get there and Tera
- 25:50Speaker 1: was like, dude, you're not gonna believe this. But I
- 25:52Speaker 1: got a keg. And I was like, you got a
- 25:53Speaker 1: fucking keg. She's like, I got a gig all right. Cool.
- 25:57Speaker 1: Feels like it's just like the classic Jersey up in
- 26:00Speaker 1: Jersey too, obviously. It's like it's like remembering teen Wolf
- 26:03Speaker 1: when he goes through all the trouble to get the
- 26:04Speaker 1: keg and then yeah, and then he puts in the
- 26:09Speaker 1: room and there's all those kegs. Yeah anyway, yeah, keg stands.
- 26:12Speaker 1: I get there. I get there and I'm like, holy shit,
- 26:14Speaker 1: she got a keg. Right, So she taps the keg
- 26:16Speaker 1: and we're all drinking it, right, We're all drinking, and
- 26:20Speaker 1: she goes, yo, you want to try something different? And
- 26:22Speaker 1: I was like, in my mind, I'm like, oh god,
- 26:24Speaker 1: this is where it all goes bad to go. I
- 26:26Speaker 1: want to try to drink something different. I was like, yeah, sure.
- 26:28Speaker 1: She goes coming me. She takes me in the kitchen
- 26:31Speaker 1: and then the kitchen there's this big vat and she's like,
- 26:33Speaker 1: it's moonshine. What She's like, it's moonshine. My dad made this.
- 26:38Speaker 1: And I was like, get the funk out of here,
- 26:39Speaker 1: and she's like yeah, And so I look at him.
- 26:41Speaker 1: It's like clear with like celery. It looked like floating there.
- 26:46Speaker 1: I was like, Okay, I'll try it. And I try
- 26:50Speaker 1: it and I sip and I'm telling you, I'm gonna
- 26:52Speaker 1: tell you something right now. After I sipped it, I
- 26:55Speaker 1: don't remember much of what happened for the rest of
- 26:58Speaker 1: the time. I remember Tara's showing us. I remember you
- 27:02Speaker 1: doing your high school cheerleading stuff in front of all
- 27:05Speaker 1: of us to show us that. I remember that. I
- 27:08Speaker 1: remember falling asleep on the floor, uh, and waking up
- 27:12Speaker 1: the next morning and taking the bus or trying one
- 27:14Speaker 1: of those things back to Manhattan. But it was my
- 27:17Speaker 1: first time and and my only time ever trying and
- 27:24Speaker 1: it got me. It got All I know is I
- 27:25Speaker 1: don't remember much. I just remember falling asleep on the floor.
- 27:28Speaker 1: It's like those things. It's like when you watch movies,
- 27:30Speaker 1: and it's like, you know, it shows you moments in
- 27:33Speaker 1: a person's life as they're watching it flash before their
- 27:36Speaker 1: eyes and it blacks out, and then it comes back
- 27:38Speaker 1: and it's something different, and then it blacks out and
- 27:40Speaker 1: then it comes back and it's something different. I have
- 27:42Speaker 1: two memories. One of them is Tara re doing going
- 27:44Speaker 1: like Rah Rah and then the other, and then the
- 27:51Speaker 1: other one is passing out on a floor, looking over
- 27:54Speaker 1: and seeing everybody on the floor knocked out, and then
- 27:56Speaker 1: just passing out. Yeah, this is called a young teenage
- 27:59Speaker 1: boy try is moonshine for the first time. Great night
- 28:03Speaker 1: it was. It was one of my most memorable moments.
- 28:07Speaker 1: Tara Reid has a few of them. Yeah, And we
- 28:09Speaker 1: used to hang out with Tara And when I started
- 28:12Speaker 1: my career going and was going out with you, don
- 28:14Speaker 1: we'd run into her out and about in Hollywood and dude,
- 28:17Speaker 1: we spent a week together in Saint Bart's Dude, right, yeah, right,
- 28:23Speaker 1: we had adventures in Saint Bart's tent. Tarent has been
- 28:28Speaker 1: a part of a part of this, part of this.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Click for a minute. Yeah, I remember my first guest.
- 28:32Speaker 1: By the way, Taring, you're the very first guest who's
- 28:34Speaker 1: ever come on and called him shoot. So that's how
- 28:36Speaker 1: that's how far back goes you guys, go. Wait, how
- 28:39Speaker 1: about when I saw you Zach in Israel and you
- 28:43Speaker 1: happen to be sitting next to me? Very remind me
- 28:47Speaker 1: the story, No, remind me. So We're in television in
- 28:50Speaker 1: Israel at this club and I'm sitting at this table
- 28:54Speaker 1: with a bunch of of the soccer players there, and
- 28:57Speaker 1: my boyfriend at the time isn't infected mush from the singer,
- 29:00Speaker 1: and so I'm there and you sat at the table
- 29:03Speaker 1: next to me, and all of a sudden you look
- 29:04Speaker 1: at me and you go Tara, and we were like,
- 29:10Speaker 1: He's like, what are you doing here? And then I
- 29:12Speaker 1: seen him. I'm like, what are you doing here? And
- 29:14Speaker 1: it was the most random, like anywhere I remember thinking
- 29:18Speaker 1: like I remember, I probably was thinking like Tara is
- 29:19Speaker 1: so connected. I go to one club and Tel Aviv
- 29:22Speaker 1: and here she is at the party right next to me. Dude.
- 29:24Speaker 1: That's how it wasn't the same Barts. When we went
- 29:26Speaker 1: to Same Barts. We were like, holy shit, Tara, Tara,
- 29:31Speaker 1: I have a memory. You told me this story where
- 29:33Speaker 1: you I don't know if it's true or not. I
- 29:35Speaker 1: must be true, but you told me that you were
- 29:37Speaker 1: once driving down the ten Freeway and you were driving
- 29:43Speaker 1: in porch and you get pulled over and the cops
- 29:46Speaker 1: recognizes you and he's like you ever you know how
- 29:50Speaker 1: fast you're going? You're like, oh, sorry, if I was
- 29:52Speaker 1: going a little fast, and he goes, do you ever
- 29:53Speaker 1: get this car? Car like this going really really fast
- 29:56Speaker 1: and you're like no, and he's like, follow me, and
- 29:59Speaker 1: he threw on the lights and told you to follow them.
- 30:02Speaker 1: That is absolutely a true story, is absolutely true. That
- 30:09Speaker 1: would only happen to you. And we went so fast
- 30:12Speaker 1: it was great. He's going in and an alasers is
- 30:15Speaker 1: going right with them, and it wind up going sar
- 30:18Speaker 1: was picking someone up from the airport, so he took
- 30:20Speaker 1: me all the way to the airport. That never happens
- 30:23Speaker 1: to us. Donald, No, no, I don't get that treatment.
- 30:25Speaker 1: You gotta be taried to get that treatment. Right. Should
- 30:29Speaker 1: we get into the episode, guys, let's talk about this episode, right.
- 30:33Speaker 1: So this episode starts with a joke that so many
- 30:36Speaker 1: people love from Scrubs, the silverware and the pancake drawer.
- 30:40Speaker 1: Why is there pancakes in the silverware drawer? Why? Why
- 30:43Speaker 1: is there silverware in the pancakes? And then you're like,
- 30:49Speaker 1: you're like, I always love and the cousin comes because
- 30:51Speaker 1: she cleans the house all the time, right when her
- 30:54Speaker 1: brother comes. Yeah, that was such a stupid joke about
- 30:57Speaker 1: the pancake draw and then people loved it like it's
- 30:59Speaker 1: one of It's something people quotes to us all the time. Yeah,
- 31:02Speaker 1: and they quote it wrong too. Some people are like,
- 31:04Speaker 1: why is there cut Why is there pancake in the
- 31:07Speaker 1: cutlery draw? That might be the translation on the subtitles
- 31:11Speaker 1: or something that's that that doesn't make the joke funny
- 31:15Speaker 1: when it's now. Freddie Rodriguez plays Carlo Marco, Carlo brother Marco.
- 31:22Speaker 1: Now he did a bunch of episodes too. This This
- 31:24Speaker 1: episode introduces two guest stars, Tara and Freddy, that ended
- 31:28Speaker 1: up doing a whole bunch of episodes. Yeah, Danny and
- 31:31Speaker 1: Marco both, Yeah, a lot of episodes. Uh. I've noticed
- 31:36Speaker 1: this trend, but I'm sure people who are watching with
- 31:38Speaker 1: us and listening to the podcast. What's up with all
- 31:41Speaker 1: of the boys names for girls? There's Danny, there's Danny,
- 31:47Speaker 1: there's Elliott? Right, you know what I mean? What was
- 31:53Speaker 1: what was any? Bills? The only the only girl name
- 31:57Speaker 1: I happen to like girl? A boy names on girls.
- 32:00Speaker 1: I think it's cute. Maybe Bill has that too, Like
- 32:04Speaker 1: my daughter's name is Wilder. My daughter's name is Wilder.
- 32:07Speaker 1: That's a boy's name. So is it a boy name
- 32:09Speaker 1: her after Van Wylder? No? I didn't tell that's another movie.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Ryan Reynolds Tower, Reid Van Wilder classic by the way,
- 32:19Speaker 1: tell them how you name your daughter and out of
- 32:21Speaker 1: a misunderstanding. For those of you who haven't seen Kick
- 32:24Speaker 1: Ass too, now's your chance to go see it. Zach
- 32:26Speaker 1: Braff and the rest of America and the rest of
- 32:28Speaker 1: the one. I've never seen Kick Ass one or two,
- 32:31Speaker 1: but if you get the chance, you should check them out.
- 32:33Speaker 1: You might laugh a little, you might laugh a little.
- 32:35Speaker 1: They're funny, they're they're glory superhero movies that you might like. Anyway,
- 32:39Speaker 1: My point is the guy who's the star. The star
- 32:42Speaker 1: of the movie is Aaron Taylor Johnson, and he's married
- 32:45Speaker 1: to Sammy sam Taylor Johnson and they have kids together,
- 32:49Speaker 1: and one of their kids name is Wilder. And I
- 32:53Speaker 1: was like, I love that name. I'm getting married and
- 32:57Speaker 1: if I ever have another kid, I'm going named that
- 33:00Speaker 1: kid Warrior Wilder. And I'm thinking they're saying Wilder because
- 33:07Speaker 1: they both have British accents and stuff. Oh yeah, Wilder Wilder.
- 33:11Speaker 1: The baby's born, we name her Wilder. I'm like, I've
- 33:17Speaker 1: run into them out at like uh oscar party and
- 33:20Speaker 1: I'm like, yo, dude, we did it. I named my
- 33:23Speaker 1: daughter Wilder. After your daughter goes, I go, I named
- 33:28Speaker 1: her Wilder. He goes, no, no, no, no, my kid's
- 33:31Speaker 1: name is Wilder wild Like, how do you spell his kids?
- 33:37Speaker 1: Like y L D. I think it's something like dub
- 33:40Speaker 1: dub yeah da something like that. What w why da
- 33:45Speaker 1: something like that, But you thought it was w Yeah. Yeah.
- 33:52Speaker 1: I love how you're like, I did it. I really
- 33:54Speaker 1: did it. I named up your kid. But I ran
- 33:56Speaker 1: up when I'm like, I told you i'd do it. Man,
- 33:58Speaker 1: I love that little girl, and he's like, no, you
- 34:00Speaker 1: got the name wrong. And I was like, you know what,
- 34:03Speaker 1: And so I named my kid Wilder. Francis faison and
- 34:06Speaker 1: wild erst is short for wild animal, right, Francis means free.
- 34:14Speaker 1: So we named our daughter wild and free. Pretty much.
- 34:17Speaker 1: That's so cool. And she is wild and free. And
- 34:20Speaker 1: she is wild and free. She's the one that called
- 34:22Speaker 1: me a stupid ass motherfucker. Yeah, she's too free. Another
- 34:31Speaker 1: one of I have said many times, maybe a couple
- 34:34Speaker 1: of times in this podcast. One of the funniest times
- 34:36Speaker 1: I ever left was Rob Maschio high five todd saying,
- 34:40Speaker 1: sometimes when I'm banging this mattress, I'm thinking about banging
- 34:43Speaker 1: that one I always yeah, and you're cuddling down and
- 34:48Speaker 1: you're like all excited, and she's like, I just need
- 34:51Speaker 1: space to sleep and you're like dying. You're like, I
- 34:53Speaker 1: just want to be I know. And it's I was
- 34:55Speaker 1: saying tired before you got on that. She's so insensitive,
- 34:58Speaker 1: like she she's the character. She's clearly not reading that
- 35:01Speaker 1: I'm obsessed with her and still so in love and
- 35:04Speaker 1: she's like such a tease to me. She's like, Oh,
- 35:06Speaker 1: come on, cuddle up with me. I need someone to
- 35:08Speaker 1: sleep with. Oh wait, it's my boyfriend here. Do you
- 35:10Speaker 1: want to say hi? Like he's she's so oblivious, but
- 35:13Speaker 1: one of the best, one of the best scenes, and
- 35:15Speaker 1: she's like, do you still have those pictures like when
- 35:18Speaker 1: we were together and you're in your head you're like
- 35:20Speaker 1: from A to Z I do. She's like, you know
- 35:23Speaker 1: that one where I looked really hot and you look
- 35:27Speaker 1: whatever and you go yeah, And then all of a sudden,
- 35:32Speaker 1: she's like, can I cut you out? And you're like
- 35:36Speaker 1: it's so fucked up. Yes, sorry, yep, but so so
- 35:41Speaker 1: do you guys think that this is the question I'm
- 35:43Speaker 1: asking this and everyone I'm sure I agree with you.
- 35:45Speaker 1: Everyone listening. Everyone with you already. I agree with you all,
- 35:49Speaker 1: everyone listening out there. You've probably been in a situation
- 35:52Speaker 1: where you still had feelings for an X, and you're
- 35:55Speaker 1: now you're trying to act normal, trying to act cool,
- 35:58Speaker 1: trying to hold it together, trying to act like you
- 36:00Speaker 1: don't have feelings, And don't you think in this situation,
- 36:03Speaker 1: you guys that Elliot must know that JD is still
- 36:07Speaker 1: harboring feelings and she's being fucking mean and insensitive, and Yo,
- 36:13Speaker 1: there's nothing like I'm gonna say this, and I and
- 36:16Speaker 1: I'm not a woman, so I can't. I'm gonna let
- 36:18Speaker 1: Joel and Tara answer the question after I say this. Yeah,
- 36:21Speaker 1: but I will say I will say There's nothing like
- 36:25Speaker 1: knowing someone has feelings for you and you can hide
- 36:30Speaker 1: behind the fact that you can act like you don't know.
- 36:33Speaker 1: There's nothing like acting like you don't know someone has
- 36:35Speaker 1: feeling for you when you know they do, and watching
- 36:38Speaker 1: them run jump through hoops. I think some women get
- 36:42Speaker 1: turned on or not turned on, but get excited by it.
- 36:45Speaker 1: And I feel like Elliot's one of those people who's like,
- 36:47Speaker 1: I know he likes me, but there's something really cool
- 36:50Speaker 1: about torturing this boyle heletaryal faces guests. I think that's
- 36:58Speaker 1: really true because for a girl to do that usually
- 37:02Speaker 1: you heard her somewhere around the line, you know, And
- 37:05Speaker 1: so she's like, you know, it's it's it's game time.
- 37:08Speaker 1: So she's now gonna go to you and she's gonna
- 37:11Speaker 1: make you suffer because you made her suffer. So now
- 37:14Speaker 1: she gets that confidence back, and she moves on feeling great,
- 37:18Speaker 1: and she loves you back in the dirt and she's like, oh,
- 37:21Speaker 1: I could do this again and again. It's not that bad,
- 37:24Speaker 1: you know. And and another thing is they always say, like,
- 37:27Speaker 1: you know, the only way to move on from a
- 37:28Speaker 1: person is to find another person first, and I think
- 37:31Speaker 1: that's what Elliott did in this case. Yeah, you're right
- 37:35Speaker 1: she did, Joel, what are your thoughts on this? I
- 37:36Speaker 1: think Tarret's ended up really well. Everybody you know, at
- 37:40Speaker 1: some point in their life has had the position of
- 37:42Speaker 1: a power play, and who doesn't love a power play?
- 37:45Speaker 1: But I don't know what that's what Elliott's doing. I
- 37:46Speaker 1: feel like Elliott's character is really oblivious, Like I don't
- 37:49Speaker 1: know if she's at Come on, Joel, Joel. Starting the montage,
- 37:56Speaker 1: she licks chocolate off my lips, and I then make
- 38:00Speaker 1: my fingers and touch where she licked and kissed my fingers.
- 38:04Speaker 1: You can't do that, you did, and her boobs are
- 38:07Speaker 1: all in your face at one point, which, oh yeah,
- 38:09Speaker 1: that stretch seems very obvious. What about when she's spanking me,
- 38:14Speaker 1: I've got dirt. I get dirt on my butt and
- 38:16Speaker 1: she she's trying to get the dirt off, and then
- 38:19Speaker 1: it cuts to my face and it looks like I'm like,
- 38:20Speaker 1: I'm about to have an orgasm, and then and then
- 38:22Speaker 1: and then to end the montage, by the way, it's
- 38:26Speaker 1: Todd humping the mattress above you, and you cuddle you
- 38:31Speaker 1: and you grabbing, and you grabbing Elliott in fear, holding
- 38:34Speaker 1: her in fear, like oh god no. But also I
- 38:37Speaker 1: think JD's like, I've got the love of my life
- 38:39Speaker 1: in my arms and she's sleeping. Todd, you're having a
- 38:42Speaker 1: bad dream. You're gonna wake her up. Stop fucking you know,
- 38:44Speaker 1: wake up so you don't wake Elliott up. And he's like, no,
- 38:47Speaker 1: I'm awake. I'm just sucking this mattress. Oh my god.
- 39:01Speaker 1: All right, we have a caller, right, we have a guest.
- 39:03Speaker 1: Tara Every week we have somebody come on and ask
- 39:06Speaker 1: a question and uh, and it's always interesting. And then
- 39:10Speaker 1: we do a segment called Fixed their Life where we
- 39:12Speaker 1: fixed their life. So let's see how this goes. Juell,
- 39:13Speaker 1: who do we have today? All right, let's let him
- 39:16Speaker 1: in sort of a gift for Donald. Oh god, okay, man,
- 39:23Speaker 1: give it up for Hi you Steph, how are you?
- 39:28Speaker 1: Welcome to the program. I'm great, Thank you so much,
- 39:31Speaker 1: Zack Donald, thank you for that. And this is the
- 39:34Speaker 1: Tara read here our guest on the show. Hello, how
- 39:37Speaker 1: are you? That's Joelle and Daniel welcome to the program.
- 39:41Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you so much for having now. No,
- 39:43Speaker 1: Joelle implied that there you're somehow a special guest for Donald,
- 39:46Speaker 1: which really titilated me. I want to know why? What?
- 39:49Speaker 1: What don't I know? Do you want to tell them
- 39:52Speaker 1: what you do? Sure? Yeah? So, I mean a few
- 39:56Speaker 1: weeks ago, I think one of you insinuated that someone
- 39:59Speaker 1: from Ubisoft since to the podcast. Uh and uh, yeah,
- 40:03Speaker 1: that is true. That is me. I work for Ubisoft.
- 40:11Speaker 1: Donald's gonna just ask you video game questions. Now, what's
- 40:14Speaker 1: your favorite? No? No, no, no, okay, so you worked
- 40:17Speaker 1: for ubi Soft? Go on, what do you do for Ubisoft? Uh? So,
- 40:22Speaker 1: I'm a a news writer and on camera host for
- 40:26Speaker 1: Ubi Soft. So I I you know, I stream on Twitch.
- 40:31Speaker 1: I you know, I host are sort of big industry showcase,
- 40:35Speaker 1: you know, multiple times a year. So, yeah, Donald, do
- 40:38Speaker 1: you have a favorite Ubi Soft game? I'm sure I do?
- 40:42Speaker 1: What games? Do make makes? Assassin's Creed? Uh, far Cry, Fry,
- 40:50Speaker 1: any any Tom Clancy game that you've played? Nice, I've
- 40:55Speaker 1: I've played the Far Cry a couple of times. Uh,
- 40:58Speaker 1: there's a few of those Far Cry aren't there isn't
- 41:01Speaker 1: there isn't there is? Was there a far Cry where
- 41:03Speaker 1: it's like you're medieval, like not medieval, where it's like
- 41:07Speaker 1: it takes place in So there was a prehistoric far Cry? Yes?
- 41:11Speaker 1: That was my favorite? Yeah? Farcry Primal, Yeah, Primal, Yes,
- 41:16Speaker 1: I had that one. Yeah. Yeah. Far Cry six is
- 41:19Speaker 1: coming out and drunk Carlos Positos in that one. Does
- 41:22Speaker 1: he play does he play Darth Gideon? Not? To my knowledge,
- 41:27Speaker 1: norsef I'm gonna cut to the question Donald really wants
- 41:30Speaker 1: to ask you. Do you guys make any Star Wars
- 41:32Speaker 1: related games? Unfortunately we don't. That is a partnership with
- 41:36Speaker 1: EA so easy. Well, if, if, and when you ever
- 41:39Speaker 1: get that contract, let Donald know, because it's the only
- 41:43Speaker 1: thing Donald really cares about in life is his kids,
- 41:45Speaker 1: his wife, and Star Wars. I'm just gonna I'm just
- 41:49Speaker 1: gonna put it out there. You don't have to do that.
- 41:51Speaker 1: But if you ever want me to come down and
- 41:53Speaker 1: check out what y'all do, al read movie, so off,
- 41:55Speaker 1: I'll come down, I hang out. I might bring the microphone.
- 41:58Speaker 1: We might do a little fake Doctor's real friends in
- 42:02Speaker 1: the headquarters a UBI saw. As long as I get
- 42:05Speaker 1: me some games, absolutely, send him the mother load anyway,
- 42:11Speaker 1: send him the mother loading. You don't have to send
- 42:12Speaker 1: me that. Don't send me the motherload. Send me everything.
- 42:16Speaker 1: I send the motherloading everything the same thing. No, everyone, swaite.
- 42:21Speaker 1: Can I ask you question about twitch for for myself
- 42:24Speaker 1: and for all the people listening who still fucking don't
- 42:27Speaker 1: know what twitches? People play video games and they make
- 42:30Speaker 1: commentary and then they somehow make money off of this.
- 42:32Speaker 1: Can you explain it to me? Yeah? I mean, so,
- 42:35Speaker 1: it's it's not too dissimilar from the way I tend
- 42:38Speaker 1: to describe it to people, is that it is if
- 42:42Speaker 1: YouTube was live all the time and primarily focused on games.
- 42:47Speaker 1: There are tons of other things on Twitch that are
- 42:49Speaker 1: not game related. People have talk shows on their people,
- 42:51Speaker 1: you know, just hang out people carved, you know, wood
- 42:54Speaker 1: and things like that on there. But at the same time,
- 42:57Speaker 1: it is focus almost entirely online content. And how do
- 43:01Speaker 1: they make money? People tip them, like like like a
- 43:03Speaker 1: cam girl. So yeah, you can get tips. People can
- 43:06Speaker 1: subscribe to your channel, and if if they subscribe, that's
- 43:09Speaker 1: that's like a five dollars a month like subscription that
- 43:11Speaker 1: they're signing up for, and they can view your channel
- 43:13Speaker 1: ad free. They can support you that way, and then
- 43:16Speaker 1: you can always tip the person you're watching if you
- 43:20Speaker 1: like them or you know you want to support them more.
- 43:22Speaker 1: Come out, zack, what you know about cam girls? You
- 43:28Speaker 1: just out really fast like you were don't I can
- 43:32Speaker 1: honestly say I don't watch cameras, but I know what
- 43:34Speaker 1: it is. I know it's a thing, and I know
- 43:36Speaker 1: that you like like the way that these women make
- 43:38Speaker 1: money women and men is that that people throw money
- 43:42Speaker 1: at them, like like by going on the interwebs and hidden.
- 43:45Speaker 1: I have I have an idea. Can you tell me,
- 43:47Speaker 1: if you're all right with this, what you and I
- 43:50Speaker 1: should start an only fans. Yeah, but we're gonna have
- 43:53Speaker 1: to show our peeps, and I don't want my peep
- 43:56Speaker 1: next to your peep. It's gonna look even smaller. We
- 43:59Speaker 1: could just show crack. Oh oh, do you think we
- 44:01Speaker 1: can make money on only fans if we show coins? Lad, Joel?
- 44:04Speaker 1: Could we make I think we could play. I think
- 44:06Speaker 1: we I think we could play. I think we could
- 44:08Speaker 1: play balls or shaft on only fans. Because you know,
- 44:12Speaker 1: what's her name? What's your name? Is that girl that
- 44:13Speaker 1: got we were talking about her? She got in trouble
- 44:15Speaker 1: for doing only fans. Bell Thorne. She got in trouble.
- 44:17Speaker 1: She said could do only fans and didn't show anything naked. Joel,
- 44:20Speaker 1: how much kindaland I make it? We show crack? I
- 44:25Speaker 1: mean what about just ball? What about just ball? One ball?
- 44:29Speaker 1: One Joel? Can you google how much we can make
- 44:32Speaker 1: for one ball? You could just play you know, tomb
- 44:36Speaker 1: that's you know, that's yeah, that wholesome Dane Dannel use
- 44:42Speaker 1: stream on twitch? Right? I do? Yeah? And do you
- 44:44Speaker 1: make money doing it? I make a little bit of money.
- 44:47Speaker 1: I stream once a week. I'm not a full time streamer,
- 44:50Speaker 1: but you know, yeah, I get probably like twenty thirty
- 44:52Speaker 1: people in the chat and make you know ten fifteen bucks.
- 44:56Speaker 1: I know Sasha Gray does it. She does. She's a
- 44:58Speaker 1: very good streamer. And what game do you always play?
- 45:01Speaker 1: The same game? You play whatever? I mean? She she
- 45:03Speaker 1: does variety of streams. She also cooks on streams. Yeah,
- 45:07Speaker 1: I've seen that. And then you step you just do
- 45:09Speaker 1: only will be soft. Yeah, just use off games. So
- 45:11Speaker 1: you know we streamed, Uh, we streamed like for Honnor
- 45:15Speaker 1: today watch There's a new Watchdogs coming out next week,
- 45:18Speaker 1: so we'll be stoked for that. All right, I used
- 45:23Speaker 1: to have You're a great guest so far. Do you
- 45:25Speaker 1: have any Scrubs related questions? I do? I do, so
- 45:29Speaker 1: the first question I have actually is is related to uh.
- 45:35Speaker 1: For me, Scrubs is a show that that I think
- 45:38Speaker 1: kind of makes me want to be a better person.
- 45:41Speaker 1: I used to in high school. I was a part
- 45:43Speaker 1: of this. There was a Facebook group I was in
- 45:44Speaker 1: the called I Get all my life lessons from the
- 45:46Speaker 1: last two minutes of Scrubs episodes. Yeah, and I think
- 45:49Speaker 1: there are certain there are certain shows and movies out
- 45:52Speaker 1: there that I think should almost be required viewing for
- 45:56Speaker 1: people because they they you know, encourage kind they encourage
- 46:01Speaker 1: compassion and Scrubs is obviously one of those for me.
- 46:04Speaker 1: And actually two of your other projects, Zack and Donald,
- 46:06Speaker 1: are also way up there for me. And remember the
- 46:09Speaker 1: Titans and ted Lasso, And I was wondering, you know,
- 46:14Speaker 1: what are your movies, TV shows, whatever that you think
- 46:17Speaker 1: should be required viewing and make make you want to
- 46:20Speaker 1: be a better person. Wow, you know, that's a great question.
- 46:24Speaker 1: This is how I became This is how I became
- 46:27Speaker 1: an actor, you know what I mean. It was watching
- 46:30Speaker 1: movies that moved me to want to do what I
- 46:33Speaker 1: do now, you know what I mean. So, when I
- 46:37Speaker 1: was younger, The Princess Bride was one of those movies
- 46:41Speaker 1: that I was like, if I can ever get on
- 46:44Speaker 1: a level of comedy that these guys are doing right now?
- 46:48Speaker 1: I you know, So I watched that a lot. I
- 46:50Speaker 1: watched a lot of Rushmore. I watched you know, uh,
- 46:54Speaker 1: the you know movies where the comedy was subtle and
- 46:57Speaker 1: not necessarily. I remember one night Zach and I went
- 46:59Speaker 1: out for a Zach and I went out on our
- 47:01Speaker 1: first like hangout thing. It was me, Zach, Sarah, and
- 47:03Speaker 1: my manager at the time, and we're sitting at the table,
- 47:06Speaker 1: and Zach says, or maybe I said, well, what's your
- 47:08Speaker 1: top five movies? And everybody said some like really dope
- 47:11Speaker 1: shit like Zach said Citizen Kane, and like shit that
- 47:13Speaker 1: I had never heard. I didn't say Citizen Kane. That's
- 47:15Speaker 1: so pretentious. But if I did, I was young. Yeah,
- 47:17Speaker 1: you were young, and you were a freaking you know
- 47:19Speaker 1: you were you were a film student, and I know,
- 47:23Speaker 1: but I'm a douchebager. Like everyone's team there top five, Well,
- 47:26Speaker 1: Citizen Kane, obviously, like I'm sorry, and I remember naming
- 47:31Speaker 1: my top five and everybody kind of looking at me
- 47:33Speaker 1: like I was crazy. But these are the movies that
- 47:34Speaker 1: make me, that made me not necessarily have a positive
- 47:38Speaker 1: attitude about life, but made me want to be an actor.
- 47:40Speaker 1: So like you know, Good Fellas and you know Rushmore,
- 47:44Speaker 1: The Empire strikes Back, the Princeton's Bride, you know, movies
- 47:47Speaker 1: like that for some reason fueled me into this. I
- 47:51Speaker 1: can't really, I mean, I guess he's saying, he's speaking,
- 47:54Speaker 1: he's speaking a little bit. I mean, not to correct
- 47:56Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong. You said, but like a movie
- 47:58Speaker 1: or a TV show that made you, like a inspired
- 48:00Speaker 1: to be a better person. Yeah, I mean, I mean, oh,
- 48:04Speaker 1: well that's all them do the right thing. Freaking uh
- 48:07Speaker 1: you know what I mean. You know, in the Juice,
- 48:10Speaker 1: you know, like all of the all of the movies
- 48:12Speaker 1: that were geared toward black youth and black people when
- 48:16Speaker 1: I was a kid, that was what I was checking for.
- 48:19Speaker 1: And in the nineties and in the eighties and the
- 48:21Speaker 1: nineties and the early two thousand, every movie that was
- 48:24Speaker 1: a black movie had a message in it. And so
- 48:26Speaker 1: for sure, after I walked out of Freaking Boys in
- 48:28Speaker 1: the Hood, I was like, I know what I'm not
- 48:30Speaker 1: doing in life. Good. That's great filmmaking. It made such
- 48:35Speaker 1: a difference for you. But a movie popped into my
- 48:38Speaker 1: I probably could sit use if as I thought about
- 48:41Speaker 1: it and uh and ruminate on a lot. But one
- 48:44Speaker 1: just popped into my head the second you finished your sentence,
- 48:46Speaker 1: and it was American Beauty. Oh wow. That was a
- 48:49Speaker 1: movie that really moved me at a time when I
- 48:51Speaker 1: needed it, and it kind of made me just really
- 48:53Speaker 1: think about what kind of person I wanted to be.
- 48:56Speaker 1: And uh, I don't know, it's always been a touchstone
- 48:59Speaker 1: for me. It's film that I really really cherish a lot.
- 49:02Speaker 1: How about you? Terror. Is there a movie that you
- 49:04Speaker 1: saw that you were like, oh, that one makes me
- 49:05Speaker 1: want to be a better person? Or a TV show
- 49:08Speaker 1: I think it's gonna see sounds so cliche, but I
- 49:12Speaker 1: guess there's two. There's one called A Place in the Sun.
- 49:15Speaker 1: It's a really old movie and it's a Montgomery Cliff
- 49:20Speaker 1: and Elizabeth Tayer. And when you see them in it,
- 49:24Speaker 1: you see like from murder to scandal to love to
- 49:28Speaker 1: how far people will go from that and how you
- 49:31Speaker 1: correct it on the way, because it goes you could
- 49:34Speaker 1: go from love to absolutely craziness. You know, love is
- 49:37Speaker 1: either one strong thing or it's another. And I think
- 49:41Speaker 1: it taught me a lesson, like like you know, just
- 49:44Speaker 1: like we had in the TV show, like you can't
- 49:47Speaker 1: be crazy, you can't be like a stock, or you
- 49:49Speaker 1: gotta be smooth, you gotta be better, you gotta be
- 49:52Speaker 1: more secure. And I think you know, and it'd be
- 49:54Speaker 1: a kinder person to certain things because it's a domino effect.
- 49:58Speaker 1: If you hurt someone and you're in a bad mood
- 50:00Speaker 1: and you go home and you have a friend there
- 50:02Speaker 1: or your wife there, whatever, your roommate there, and you're
- 50:06Speaker 1: now snapping at them. They don't know why, and then
- 50:08Speaker 1: they snapped at someone else and that kind of movie
- 50:11Speaker 1: made me learn that. Yeah, that's great. And you said,
- 50:15Speaker 1: I'm so happy that we are associated with something that
- 50:18Speaker 1: made you, that affected you like that, And I wish
- 50:22Speaker 1: I could take more credit for ted Lasso. By the way,
- 50:24Speaker 1: a funny ted Lasso story. I only directed episode two
- 50:26Speaker 1: of ted Lasso, but I getting all these compliments for it,
- 50:28Speaker 1: which I happily take. And I'm on Twitter and James
- 50:31Speaker 1: Gunn says, hey, Zach Braff loved your episode of ted Lasso,
- 50:35Speaker 1: and I'm like, oh shit, thanks man. This means I
- 50:37Speaker 1: mean so much to me coming from you. All of
- 50:39Speaker 1: a sudden, I'm getting all these likes and everyone's being like, oh, Zach,
- 50:42Speaker 1: you must feel all of a sudden. Bill Lawrence comes
- 50:44Speaker 1: in hijacks it, being like, what about me? It's my show.
- 50:49Speaker 1: I'm like, are you really fucking in here hijacking my
- 50:52Speaker 1: James Gunn compliment right now? That's so funny. But yeah,
- 50:58Speaker 1: I'm happy for Bill. Ted Lasso is just a massive hit.
- 51:02Speaker 1: Everybody loves it, and I'm hopefully going to direct more
- 51:04Speaker 1: in the second season. But uh, but that's great, all right,
- 51:07Speaker 1: you say, wait before you go before we move on, Zack,
- 51:09Speaker 1: I just wanted to piggyback on what you said. American Beauty. Yes,
- 51:13Speaker 1: that was one of those movies for me as well.
- 51:16Speaker 1: That definitely when I finished that ship, That ship had
- 51:21Speaker 1: a lot of power behind it for me, and I
- 51:23Speaker 1: don't know why it did, but I just remember being like,
- 51:25Speaker 1: we well, I went to see it with a bunch
- 51:27Speaker 1: of friends while I was making Remember the Titans when
- 51:29Speaker 1: that movie came out as a mat Yeah it was,
- 51:32Speaker 1: and we were making that movie, and I believe it
- 51:35Speaker 1: was me, Ryan, Would and Ethan We all went to
- 51:40Speaker 1: see that together and I remember walking out of the
- 51:42Speaker 1: movie and everybody being like, this is one of the
- 51:44Speaker 1: dopest movies I've ever seen in my life. Yeah. Yeah,
- 51:47Speaker 1: American Beauty is one of those movies that I can't
- 51:49Speaker 1: explain to you why I liked that movie so much.
- 51:51Speaker 1: I think it it made me just think. It's one
- 51:54Speaker 1: of those films for me that makes you just zoom out,
- 51:57Speaker 1: and it's not just like, oh, cool movie, won't wish
- 51:59Speaker 1: we get for dinner. It's like you really start thinking
- 52:01Speaker 1: about your own life and your own place in the world.
- 52:02Speaker 1: And there's so many little things in it that. I
- 52:05Speaker 1: remember when they're getting in a fight and he's about
- 52:10Speaker 1: to spill beer on the couch and she's like, careful,
- 52:13Speaker 1: careful of your beer, and he's like, it's a fucking
- 52:16Speaker 1: couch right where I think of that. I think of
- 52:18Speaker 1: that little moment so many times in my life where
- 52:20Speaker 1: I'm where I'm sweating something so insignificant and and I'm
- 52:25Speaker 1: all anxious about something that in the macro is so
- 52:27Speaker 1: fucking ludicrous, and I always think of Spacey yelling it's
- 52:31Speaker 1: a fucking couch right anyway. And of course, and of
- 52:35Speaker 1: course the plastic the plastic bag thing was just beaut
- 52:40Speaker 1: I think one of another movie for me was it's
- 52:42Speaker 1: a classic for everyone was Shaw Shape Redemption. Yeah. I
- 52:46Speaker 1: mean that really showed you so many characters that struggled
- 52:52Speaker 1: from the beginning and became so strong, you know, at
- 52:54Speaker 1: the end, and it's so clever and I you know,
- 52:57Speaker 1: that movie really touched me, especially at the end when
- 53:00Speaker 1: he finally gets through and on the beach and power
- 53:03Speaker 1: of friendship too, it's ye that friendship, yeah, very much.
- 53:07Speaker 1: And when he played the music, when he played the
- 53:09Speaker 1: music when he locked in a you know, in the
- 53:11Speaker 1: office and all the people like it was like those
- 53:14Speaker 1: It was like angels coming on the sky. I'll never
- 53:16Speaker 1: forget that. That's one of those rare films that everybody
- 53:18Speaker 1: loves universally. All Right, you Stef you know you know
- 53:21Speaker 1: because you're here and you're a listener. We have a
- 53:23Speaker 1: very America's favorite segment everywhere, not just America, from Shad
- 53:28Speaker 1: to JABOUTI. People love this segment called fix your Life.
- 53:36Speaker 1: You have the benefit of having Tara Reid here. She'sn't
- 53:38Speaker 1: give you great advice. Use off. How can we fix
- 53:41Speaker 1: your life today? Yes? So, my brother and I don't
- 53:45Speaker 1: get along very well at all. We are alike in
- 53:48Speaker 1: every way we can't control, and then we are dislike
- 53:52Speaker 1: in every way we can choose to be. And to
- 53:57Speaker 1: the point where we haven't spoken since about May, and
- 54:04Speaker 1: he couldn't in many ways. I sort of just kind
- 54:09Speaker 1: of decided to step away from a toxic situation with
- 54:13Speaker 1: him because it's just been better for me and my
- 54:17Speaker 1: mental health if I disassociate when he constantly sort of
- 54:21Speaker 1: antagonizes me, and lately he'll sort of go to my
- 54:26Speaker 1: parents and sort of try and play the victim even
- 54:28Speaker 1: though he tends to be the instigator in these situations,
- 54:31Speaker 1: and I find it very difficult at times to be
- 54:34Speaker 1: the bigger person and to try to forgive him. And
- 54:40Speaker 1: I was wondering if you had any advice on, you know,
- 54:42Speaker 1: how to take the high ground. You're just gonna have
- 54:45Speaker 1: to take that high ground, dude. That's just how it is. Man,
- 54:47Speaker 1: there's no that's just gonna hurt no matter what you know.
- 54:50Speaker 1: It's a sacrifice. Taking the high ground. Isn't necessarily one
- 54:54Speaker 1: of those things where it's like I'm gonna feel good
- 54:56Speaker 1: about this, I'm gonna take the high ground taking a
- 54:58Speaker 1: high ground and also was one of those things where
- 55:00Speaker 1: it's like this, I don't want to take the high ground,
- 55:03Speaker 1: but because I don't want to be in this, in this,
- 55:05Speaker 1: I don't want this to go any further than it is,
- 55:07Speaker 1: I'll take the high ground. It's one of those things
- 55:09Speaker 1: where you're gonna have to bury your freaking pride. That's
- 55:11Speaker 1: that's at the end of the day. That's well, let
- 55:13Speaker 1: me just ask you a question. First. You said, have
- 55:15Speaker 1: you guys ever really just had a heart to heart
- 55:19Speaker 1: where you weren't screaming in each other? Have you ever
- 55:20Speaker 1: just kind of had like a let's have a really
- 55:23Speaker 1: super honest conversation, not nothing in depth. Nothing super in depth.
- 55:30Speaker 1: We I mean even even on the best circumstances. We
- 55:32Speaker 1: you know, in a pre COVID era, we only see
- 55:35Speaker 1: each other maybe a few times a year anyway, and
- 55:38Speaker 1: at that point it's usually you know, around my mom
- 55:40Speaker 1: and it's you know, she just wants to not rock
- 55:42Speaker 1: the boat and keep calm and you know, yeah, but
- 55:45Speaker 1: it's like that, it's big like that. I thought it
- 55:47Speaker 1: was just like just you two are tipping. It's it's
- 55:49Speaker 1: affecting your whole family. I'm yeah. I My advice is
- 55:54Speaker 1: that it really can help if you if you say, like, hey,
- 55:58Speaker 1: you you mean someone to me. I love you. We
- 56:01Speaker 1: obviously have some problems, but can we just have a
- 56:03Speaker 1: super honest conversation with each other and just have it
- 56:06Speaker 1: all out. And that's the trick with you is you
- 56:08Speaker 1: got to not blame you a big person. The second
- 56:11Speaker 1: you start blaming someone, they shut off and they get defensive.
- 56:14Speaker 1: We all do that. So you have you have to
- 56:16Speaker 1: come at it from a from a point from a
- 56:18Speaker 1: from a perspective of I'm not blaming you for anything.
- 56:21Speaker 1: I'm just telling you how I'm how I'm feeling. And
- 56:25Speaker 1: how this is kind of landing with me and I
- 56:26Speaker 1: really I love you, I want to make It's not
- 56:29Speaker 1: that easy. I mean I recently lost both my parents
- 56:33Speaker 1: and you know, they were kind of the rocks, you know,
- 56:36Speaker 1: to to us four kids. And when you know that
- 56:41Speaker 1: rock goes away, it's it's for brothers and sisters. The
- 56:46Speaker 1: closeness that kept you together does part, you know. And
- 56:50Speaker 1: then there's times where they do do something too and
- 56:54Speaker 1: you say, you know what, I don't need them in
- 56:56Speaker 1: my life. You know they're only being toxic, you know.
- 56:59Speaker 1: And it's not taking the high ground. Sometimes it's the opposite.
- 57:03Speaker 1: It's taking no ground and and just letting time does
- 57:07Speaker 1: heal things. But I think by mentally always letting it
- 57:11Speaker 1: bother you, it's eating you up inside. So instead of
- 57:15Speaker 1: taking a high ground, instead of taking a low ground,
- 57:18Speaker 1: it's taking time for yourself to heal and be when
- 57:21Speaker 1: you're ready to go. And if you're not ready and
- 57:23Speaker 1: you and you try and it goes south again, then
- 57:27Speaker 1: you know that just tells you something. And I'm a
- 57:29Speaker 1: family is family and you want to never get them
- 57:31Speaker 1: out of your life. But sometimes you know you can't
- 57:35Speaker 1: pick your family, but you could pick your friends, And
- 57:37Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I'm just saying. I'm just saying, when
- 57:39Speaker 1: you do try, when you do make a big attempt,
- 57:42Speaker 1: I think that if you if you can really control
- 57:46Speaker 1: any blaming and just say, look, I'm just I'm not
- 57:50Speaker 1: blaming any of this on you, but I want to.
- 57:53Speaker 1: I want you to know that I aspire. I love you,
- 57:55Speaker 1: I aspire to have a better connection with you. I
- 58:00Speaker 1: want to find a way for us to communicate better.
- 58:02Speaker 1: Here's some of the things I'm feeling. I just like,
- 58:04Speaker 1: be so super vulnerable. It's going to require you to
- 58:07Speaker 1: be super vulnerable. So I'm trying to But that's taking
- 58:09Speaker 1: the high ground right there. That's him being like, all right, look,
- 58:12Speaker 1: I'm putting myself on the chopping block and I'm gonna
- 58:15Speaker 1: make myself so vulnerable that my nerves are gonna show
- 58:19Speaker 1: and you're gonna be able to poke my nerves. But
- 58:21Speaker 1: I'm doing this because I love you so much and
- 58:24Speaker 1: I want us to fix this relationship now. When your
- 58:29Speaker 1: nerves are poked. The thing you said you have to
- 58:31Speaker 1: do is not freaking let that affect you. And that's
- 58:33Speaker 1: hard to do. Like I said, that's really really, really
- 58:36Speaker 1: hard to do. I don't. I do not envy you. Man.
- 58:40Speaker 1: I the vulnerable, no doubt. But I've been Me and
- 58:44Speaker 1: my brothers have had fights that have lasted a year,
- 58:47Speaker 1: you know where my brother and I didn't talk for
- 58:49Speaker 1: a year and I can never get that back, you
- 58:52Speaker 1: know what I mean, And he can never get that back.
- 58:53Speaker 1: And thank god neither one of us perished during that year,
- 58:56Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Because then I would feel
- 58:58Speaker 1: like shit. And so you got to think of it also,
- 59:00Speaker 1: is that, you know what I mean, Tomorrow nothing's promised,
- 59:03Speaker 1: Nothing has promised. Tomorrow's not promised, you know what I mean.
- 59:06Speaker 1: So I, in my personal belief, I think you and
- 59:11Speaker 1: your brother, like Zach said, do need to sit down
- 59:13Speaker 1: have this conversation. And yeah, taking the high road is
- 59:16Speaker 1: the way to go, because it sounds like it sounds
- 59:19Speaker 1: like you're not the instigator. He's the one that's instigating
- 59:22Speaker 1: all of this stuff. Well, but he might have his
- 59:25Speaker 1: own story, you know, you said, whatever is whatever you
- 59:27Speaker 1: believe to be true. He's probably got something. He's obviously
- 59:30Speaker 1: got something else going in his head. And the idea,
- 59:33Speaker 1: the goal is to kind of get on the same page.
- 59:35Speaker 1: And and my advice is just to make sure when
- 59:38Speaker 1: you do have this conversation that you need to have
- 59:40Speaker 1: that you're not accusatory accusatory accusatory. There's no extracy in there.
- 59:45Speaker 1: Zach I likes, I like accusator accusatory accusatory. That'd be
- 59:50Speaker 1: a good T shirt along with deservant, deservant accusacatory. But
- 59:55Speaker 1: we but but dude, the first thing is the most
- 59:57Speaker 1: important thing is you got to communicate. If you just
- 59:59Speaker 1: often your corners pouting and hating each other, nothing's ever
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: gonna happen. So you sef, You're welcome, you sef, you sef.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: I think if you follow all that advice and you're
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: gonna listen to this back, you're welcome, it's gonna work.
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Thank you, Thank you. No, I really do appreciate that
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: and all honestly, and and I know fix your life's
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: usually the end. But I would be just so remissed
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Donald if I didn't say that. I absolutely adore Remember
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: the Titans, And you have my absolute favorite line in
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: the entire film, which is so it's the scene right
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: when you know y'all are on a winning street, y'all
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: feeling good, and you're you're going out for a night
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: on the town and Sunshine wants to take you and
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: Blue into a restaurant and you tell him, now, this
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: is Virginia. You know, they're not really gonna want us here,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: and he tries anyway, and then you get turned away
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: the door, and it's it's this you know moment that
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: kind of creates a schism again between the black players
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: and the white players. But you have a line there
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: where you get really upset, and you know, Blue says, Wen,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: he didn't know, and he said, what do you mean here?
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: You know, I told him he don't want to know,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: And like that to me is just so emblematic of
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: so much of the inequality and apathy and insensitivity that
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: is still so pervasive to this day, of how many
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: people just don't want to know. That's absolutely right, that's that,
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: that's the truth. There are a lot of people out
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: there that don't want to know, and they know, they
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: know they've been told over and over and over again
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: what the deal is. And you're right about that. There's
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: a group, not even a small group, there's a really
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: big population in America. I'll just talk about America. In
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: America that knows what's going on and knows what the
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: experienced brown people and other minorities are having in this country,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: and they see it and they act like they don't
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: see it and they play aloof or they play freaking
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: stupid and that's bullshit. And you're absolutely right, Sunshine. I
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: knew I told him, you know, Pete told him, but
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: he didn't want and he didn't want to hear that shit.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: He wanted to hear what he wanted to hear. You're
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: absolutely right about that, man. That's a strong that is
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: a powerful line. Brother. Yeah, all right, brother Sep, thank
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: you for coming on the show. We really appreciate it.
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: And please send Donald the mother load of games. Oh absolutely,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: thank you so much for having me my pleasure. Man,
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: thank you so much. Good luck with your brother, good luck,
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: good luck call him today. I will, I will thank
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: you all so much, you Seff. We want to follow up,
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: so let you well know what happens after you talk
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: to your brother. I will absolutely thank you. All right, bye, man,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Thank you. It would it would suck that U. STEP's
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: follow up is like, so I killed him, I miss,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: I misunderstood your advice and I strangled him. Thanks guys,
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: let's take a break. We'll be right back. After these
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: fine words. First of all, John C mcginley's Doctor Phil
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: impressions pretty good. Yeah, that was funny. I guess I
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: might have been the height of Doctor Phil. Turks cheese,
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I love. The only word you know is caso. You're like,
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: did somebody say cheese? Yeah, but I'm just saying somebody
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: going out to get some cheese. Let a brother know.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: And then it cuts you later and you're eating a
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: fucking solid brick of cheese. I'm eating some government cheese.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Not only did they go to the store, they went
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: to the truck and got the government cheese that somebody
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: got online, got the government cheese and handed it to Turk.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: And now Turk's walking around with government cheese, chewing on
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: it like it's freaking like it's a snack. It was
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: so gross, Like, who would ever eat cheese like that? Turk?
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I like, when you go, ka, my ass ass, because
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: he my ass. How does Carlin not know that her
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: fucking brothers flew in English? I mean, come on, they
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: don't hang out much. He hides it from her, he does,
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: I guess. I mean they always speaks managed to each other.
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: It's just the first time we hear the phrase in
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: opposite world because I say that, and Yo, dude, I've
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: left that, I've taken for the rest of my life.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: I'm gonna use that word. I always say an opposite world.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I've used it since since I remember. I remember watching
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: the show and you saying that and being like, Yo,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: that is my new ship. An opposite world is going
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: to be my new ship. We use it with each other,
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: and this is this is I don't know where I mean,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: obviously some writer put it in, but this is where
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: we first started. This is where we first started using it. Yeah,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Nana Hobbs is a bit racist. What Yeah, that was funny, Tara.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: I like when I go I'm gonna miss you and no,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: you're sorry, you go I'm gonna miss you. Right, I'm
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: gonna miss you too, and you too, we just met.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I'm kidding. That was funny. Weird, Danny's still weird. I mean,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: part of Danny's stick is that she always starts conversations
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: in the middle of an in the middle of a conversation. Yeah,
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: but also I like when Danny says, you know, she's talking,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: and when the elevator and she's like you know this,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: it gets you know, fall right, now and then the
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: stream of me and you're like looking at her like
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: what She's like, Oh sorry, I mean I just have
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: it inner monologue in my head and you're like, weirdo,
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: But yeah, that's your character exactly. I must have come
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: from somebody the writers who are being knowing someone that
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: just always started conversations right in the middle of a conversation,
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: because I think it's a funny thing for Danny, she's
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: always like like three sentences into a conversation and Jad's like, what, Yeah,
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: have you ever said to somebody you know what I
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: was thinking about and they actually answered what you were
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: thinking about? But they don't answer correctly. Yeah, it's one
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: of It's one of the funniest things ever. Like, so
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: usually when you say to somebody, you know what I
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: was thinking about, you're saying it so they'll be like,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: what what were you thinking about? And then you can
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: go into what you were thinking about? Right. Yeah. I
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: watched my wife some one time go up to this
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: young lady and she goes, oh my god, you know
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: what I was just thinking about. And the girl goes
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Rihanna dancing on the stage and last Year's in case.
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: He's like, what, no, no, no, no, that's funny though.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: You all have one of those locked and loaded for
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: when someone says that to it. So you know what
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: I was thinking about, right, and you just go into
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: when she got thick? Yeah. How about the fact that
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: we learned that Kelso's genitals were shaved when he passed
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: out at the Christmas party. Yeah, and that Cox is
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: the one that shaved them. Yeah, Kelso got so hammered
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: and passed the Christmas party and Cox shaved his genitals
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: more than once too. That's something I didn't remember from
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: the cross Yeah, more than once too. This is like,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: this is like a recurring tradition that happens. So funny
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: and then I liked. I laughed too when Sarah says
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: she has to perform a thong extraction on herself, right,
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: How fucking funny is that punch in the face to you? Dude?
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: When when when when Marco hits you in the face?
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: I laughed out loud. I laughed at that too. You go,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I told you that is the hardest hit. Yeah, by
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: scrub by the way scrubs Wicky says that you have
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: the black eye on the wrong eye, I do, Yeah,
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: says we had a couple of racist jokes in this.
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: Is it racist to say that Nana Hobbs is a racist?
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: And that's all right? She thought that she thought that
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: I was robbing the house. Well, she's racist. She was.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: She's racist. By the way. It's not racist, or correct
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: me if I'm wrong. You guys will tell me when
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I say so. Black people can get black eyes too.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: Who know? Well, I mean, come on, man, you've seen
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: all types of boxing matches and a lot of boxers
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: are black. But you're trying to tell me if this
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: is where the bullshit comes in. Muhammad Ali, I've seen
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: him get sucked up. I've seen Leon Spins get sucked up.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: I've seen a bunch of black people get sucked up
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: fighting back in the day before scrubs out of nowhere.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: J D's like, wait a second, black people get black eyes.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: I mean, I thought it was funny. But if you're
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: telling me it's fucked up, I believe you. No, I don't.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: I don't think it's fucked up. I just think I
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: just think that JD is trying to be a bit
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: of you know what I mean. He's a doctor. I'm
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: sure he's seen a black person with the black eye's
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: trying to be best friend exactly exactly, but it doesn't work.
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: If JD is, you know, genuinely asking that question, then
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: it becomes a racist joke. Right. I think that as
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: a doctor, he's probably seen a black person with a
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: black eye. But just so you know the trivia that Scrubs,
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: Wicky said that you're a black ey's on the wrong eye. Well,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: you know, we can't all be perfect. Yeah, yeah, they
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: cannot be perfect makeup department, there's Yeah, there's a bunch
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: of continuity errors in this one. Who to this episode?
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: This was Gailman Cuso I think has since one uh
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: an Emmy for Modern Family. I believe double checking. I
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: believe Joel will double check. Gailman Cuso was one of
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: our great directors and she went on after Scrubs to
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: become one of the top TV directors in Hollywood. A
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: lot of a lot of Modern Families. I remember that,
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: you guys, I had forgotten the reveal that Danny is
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Jordan's sister. Wait, the best one when you're like I
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: finally found a girl with no issues, you know, and
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: you're like bam, they walk out and you're like oh no, yeah,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: oh no, my Nemesis. Yeah, this is the beginning of
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: a lot of crazy this like at some point, don't
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: you have a toilet paper thrown Terra in this on
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: scrubs at some point later on as we go on,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: like don't we doesn't it get like just ridiculous? Weeks? Oh,
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: I remember there's a fantasy coming up the Tara mentioned.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: I mean we were texting back and forth about when
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: she's dressed as a cigarette. Remember, I remember I was
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: so embarrassed, like Tarry, You're gonna dress as a cigarette
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: right now? I'm like, you go. And I remember wearing
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: an alba, going like, oh my god. I love that
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: we had. We had like only Bill Lawrence would bring
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: on this beautiful woman that everyone's like lusting after him, like, hey,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: we're gonna dress you up as a cigarette. And then
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: when she's in the bed, when she's in the bed
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: just smoking smoke. I just remember this story. Do you
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: remember this. I had to do a naked dance in
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: front of you. And when you're on set as a
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: guy and you just be naked, there's only a certain
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: amount of stuff you can do. So I put my
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: junk in a sock and I and I tucked it
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: all in and as best as I could, and then
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: I had to do the dance and I'm dancing around.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: The sock held on as long as it could, but
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: eventually it just gave up, and I was like, sorry, Tara, Sorry,
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: that was hilarious. We had so many I was like sorry,
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: remember me, Like sorry, Tara, but it's but it's like Seinfeld,
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: so you know, it's very cold in here, Tara conditioning.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: Joel told me that what hold on me? Gayelm and
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: Cuso did win the Emmy for directing the episode Arrested
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: on Modern Family, and then in twenty fourteen, she won
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: the Emmy again for directing the episode of Las Vegas.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: She's got two Emmys for directing Modern Family. Guys, I
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: think we did it. Tara. You're gonna have to come
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: back on because you're such a great guest and you've
