BWI Marshall Airport is shutting down its longest runway, 10-28, from July 22 to October 8 for a major overhaul — milling, repaving, and upgrading to LED lighting — all part of an $83.8 million investment to future-proof safety and efficiency. While travelers may face some disruptions, including altered flight paths, overnight closures of the second main runway (15R-33L) from August 4–7 will help finish critical paving work.
