  Speaker 1: ears and be able to reach their hearts and minds

  Speaker 1: and be able to apply these verses to their lives.

  Speaker 1: So let's just jump into it. I hope that you

  Speaker 1: Peter writes to Christians in many different places. Verse 1 states,

  Speaker 1: This letter is from me, Peter. I am an apostle

  Speaker 1: of Jesus Christ. Bold sentences right there.

  Speaker 2: I am....

  Speaker 1: Writing to you God's own people that he has chosen.

  Speaker 1: Before we get any deeper than that, when it comes

  Speaker 1: to us, right, being chosen by God is also a
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: two-way street. And I know this from experience. And just
• 1:23
  Speaker 1: because people may think that they are chosen You have
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: to still choose God's will.

  Speaker 2: So. You choose. Take the N off of chosen. Right?

  Speaker 1: Because you have to make that choice. You have to

  Speaker 1: fall in love with God. So you don't rebel against God.

  Speaker 1: That takes time. I just wanted to share that. You

  Speaker 1: are now living in many different places in the regions

  Speaker 1: called Pontus Galate.

  Speaker 1: should be His people. God's Spirit has made you special

  Speaker 1: people who would obey Jesus Christ. So it was put

  Speaker 1: in us already to be worshipers of God and workers

  Speaker 1: of God. And everyone may think that it's, oh, all

  Speaker 1: about going to church and being just a member.

  Speaker 1: No, it's what you do outside of the services that

  Speaker 1: matter the most, not what you try to portray while

  Speaker 1: you're waiting for service to start and after. Now I'm

  Speaker 1: not totally against the fellowship. Because I've done it. And

  Speaker 1: seen the elders and seen people. And that's the beauty

  Speaker 1: of it. But you don't want to.

  Speaker 2: Make it all about you. And.

  Speaker 1: You just don't know. I want to stay on this

  Speaker 1: people that believe in me. There's people that believe in you.

  Speaker 1: And I just wanted to just share.

  Speaker 2: A little. Outside. Of what we just read. We're all

  Speaker 1: So God the father already decided that you.

  Speaker 2: Should be his people. I pray. Now. God will help you.

  Speaker 1: And give you peace in your mind's. More and more,

  Speaker 1: Christians have a new life that brings great hope. That's

  Speaker 1: what it's titled before verse 3. And we're on 1

  Speaker 1: Peter chapter 1. Verse 3 states, We praise God who
• 4:37
  Speaker 1: is the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. He is
• 4:41
  Speaker 1: very kind to us so that He has given us
• 4:45
  Speaker 1: new life. This is possible because God raised Jesus Christ
• 4:49
  Speaker 1: to new life. After his death. Now as we live.
• 4:54
  Speaker 1: We are sure that we will receive good things from God.

  Speaker 1: We wait to receive all the good things that he
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: has prepared for us. Nobody could ever destroy those things.

  Speaker 1: Nothing can spoil them. They will never become old or
• 5:09
  Speaker 1: less beautiful. God is keeping those things in heaven for you.

  Speaker 2: The first four verses.

  Speaker 1: Very in-depth to how when you believe in God's Son,

  Speaker 1: you reap the benefits. The real power. And I've experienced, obviously,

  Speaker 1: my self-will. And I am in a state of complete

  Speaker 1: awe at this moment. As I am doing this episode,

  Speaker 1: I want to take this time to thank you for

  Speaker 1: pressing play. And those first four verses spoke for themselves.

  Speaker 1: But to try to break down the Bible is such

  Speaker 1: an honor because not everybody understands the Bible but they

  Speaker 1: still have faith. How does God talk to you? May

  Speaker 1: be a question that is asked a lot. And it's

  Speaker 1: through the word.

  Speaker 2: It's through praise. It's through Prayer.

  Speaker 1: And. It's just amazing. What it really feels like. To

  Speaker 1: follow Christ. And this is verse 5. God is using
• 7:11
  Speaker 1: his great power. To keep you safe. I know this
• 7:14
  Speaker 1: for a fact. Because you trust him. He will continue
• 7:19
  Speaker 1: to keep you safe. Until the last day. When Christ
• 7:23
  Speaker 1: will return. then you will know that God has saved
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: you completely from sin and from death.
• 7:32
  Speaker 2: We all have to die.
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: We all have to go through a spiritual death of
• 7:42
  Speaker 1: old self. In order to grow, there has to be
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: new versions of yourself. And when it's all really broken down,
• 7:52
  Speaker 1: how amazing it is that we are alive It's almost.

  Speaker 1: Ignorant in a way. And it takes too much energy.

  Speaker 1: To think that. You really actually die.

  Speaker 2: You don't. It's. You got a body. A mind. A spirit.

  Speaker 2: And a soul. Body. Mind.

  Speaker 1: Spirit and a soul. I do believe when you pass
• 8:34
  Speaker 1: here on this earth, your spirit stays. Your body decays.

  Speaker 1: And your soul goes to heaven or hell. And we
• 8:44
  Speaker 1: put ourselves there. What we start to do here on earth.

  Speaker 1: I have also learned there has to be a balance.
• 8:54
  Speaker 1: You can't think that you're better than anyone. And I
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: see it in a lot of different, I've seen it
• 9:01
  Speaker 1: as well, but in these different churches and different organizations
• 9:06
  Speaker 1: and different religions, it's remarkable how it's still dividing people.
• 9:14
  Speaker 1: And everybody thinks their opinion is so valuable. And I'm
• 9:21
  Speaker 1: including myself in this because I'm not just only the host.
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: I'm a listener as well.
• 9:27
  Speaker 2: This is.

  Speaker 1: My Bible study time as well. And that's what I
• 9:32
  Speaker 1: love about it. So let's just keep it moving. Let's

  Speaker 1: go to verse 6. Let's see how much time we got. Okay,

  Speaker 1: we still got time. So 1 Peter chapter 1 verse 6.

  Speaker 1: All these causes you to be very happy. Even when
• 9:48
  Speaker 1: you have troubles. For a short time now, different kinds
• 9:53
  Speaker 1: of troubles may make you sad. The promise of these
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: troubles is to show you to show whether you really

  Speaker 1: trust God. The one thing that's so interesting, I'm going

  Speaker 1: to keep continuing off of this. It's really, Spirit is
• 10:12
  Speaker 1: just really on me about this.

  Speaker 2: And it's you....

  Speaker 1: May have a blessing right now. You may be going
• 10:19
  Speaker 1: through a good season.
• 10:23
  Speaker 2: Enjoy it. It won't last. You may be going through
• 10:28
  Speaker 2: a difficult season. A lot of hardships. Endure it. It
• 10:35
  Speaker 2: will not last. So the moral. The truth.
• 10:40
  Speaker 1: The truth of the matter is. You got to hang on.
• 10:46
  Speaker 1: And you can't give up. Because there's going to be blessings.
• 10:53
  Speaker 2: And enjoyment.
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: And there's going to be sorrow and grief. I can

  Speaker 1: keep going down the list, but I don't need to
• 10:59
  Speaker 1: trigger you. I want to let you know that this

  Speaker 1: life is so temporary. Let me get deeper into it.

  Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. The purpose of these troubles
• 11:08
  Speaker 1: is to show you whether you really trust God. When
• 11:10
  Speaker 1: you believe in Jesus, that is more valuable than Then
• 11:16
  Speaker 1: even gold. People put gold into a hot fire. To
• 11:21
  Speaker 1: see if it is really good. And even gold will continue.
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: Come to an end one day. But if you continue.
• 11:31
  Speaker 1: To trust God in your troubles. He will be very happy.
• 11:35
  Speaker 1: On the day when Jesus Christ returns. And appears to everyone.

  Speaker 1: God will praise you. He will say that you have
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: done well.
• 11:44
  Speaker 2: That. will be great.

  Speaker 1: You have never seen Jesus, but still you love him.
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: You do not see him now, but you believe in him.

  Speaker 1: As a result, you are very happy. There are no

  Speaker 1: words to describe how happy you are. A lot of

  Speaker 1: us are experiencing this. And when we're talking about true happiness,

  Speaker 1: there's joy, right? And when you really have that Holy Spirit,

  Speaker 1: that's not something that can be taken away you can
• 12:14
  Speaker 1: you can give it away and you can not stay
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: connected and that's our our free will no matter no
• 12:25
  Speaker 1: matter how much we say we've surrendered we still have
• 12:28
  Speaker 1: our free will till we die and again and and
• 12:34
  Speaker 1: i can get even deeper in this but you are
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: happy now because god is saving you from sin you
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: believe in jesus and And you know that God saves
• 12:43
  Speaker 1: you because of that. A long time ago, God's prophets
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: spoke about this. They said that God would be very
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: kind to you, his people. They studied carefully to learn
• 12:53
  Speaker 1: how God would save people. They wanted to know when
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: God's Messiah would come and.
• 12:59
  Speaker 2: Who he would be.
• 13:01
  Speaker 1: Christ's spirit, not these spirits, right?
• 13:06
  Speaker 2: When we're drinking. And we... I want to stop right
• 13:10
  Speaker 2: there for a moment. See, Spirit knows what... To really.

  Speaker 1: Allow.

  Speaker 2: The words to... Be so spoken. In a way. And

  Speaker 2: what I'm saying like.

  Speaker 1: Reading these and speaking them... The way that... I have through...

  Speaker 1: 1 through 11.

  Speaker 2: It's just.

  Speaker 2: There's nothing else that has mattered in this time. I

  Speaker 2: don't think about my worries. I don't think about my shortcomings.

  Speaker 2: I don't think about nothing.

  Speaker 1: And the improvement that I have seen personally because I
• 13:52
  Speaker 1: have a self-care that's a little higher than the average person.

  Speaker 1: And I care about people just the same amount. So

  Speaker 1: I want to get deeper into this. So God showed
• 14:06
  Speaker 1: his prophets that this message about these things were not
• 14:09
  Speaker 1: really to help them. Instead, God sent his message to
• 14:12
  Speaker 1: the prophets to help you. That message is the good
• 14:16
  Speaker 1: news about Jesus Christ. We're having this discussion right now.
• 14:21
  Speaker 1: The message is the good news about Jesus Christ. And
• 14:24
  Speaker 1: that's having that relationship with Jesus Christ. Allowing the Holy
• 14:28
  Speaker 1: Spirit in. Glorifying God and then being glorified in heaven
• 14:34
  Speaker 1: when we pass to the next life.

  Speaker 2: It's not....

  Speaker 1: That's why you'll hear a lot of people say, oh,

  Speaker 1: they passed. Yeah, they passed over. Over to paradise. So

  Speaker 1: I want to make this clear. There's people that are
• 14:50
  Speaker 1: waiting for you up there. That you ain't never even met. Anyways,

  Speaker 1: the message is the good news.
