- 1:33Speaker 1: The NBL is now long gone.
- 1:35Speaker 1: Done as well.
- 1:36Speaker 1: We now go straight into the well, the second episode and we got the second round of the NBL 26.
- 1:46Speaker 1: So, first up, we do head to the 18th of September round one game, one in Tasmania.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Now, this is quite an interesting one.
- 1:56Speaker 1: I did choose to go with Tasmania at home.
- 1:59Speaker 1: You know they've got a new team and fortunately they did take on Melbourne United.
- 2:04Speaker 1: They look very strong once again and they did have their, also their European from Greece.
- 2:11Speaker 1: You know European League, one of the best teams in the world.
- 2:15Speaker 1: They're full strength side, head-to-head in the NBL side and that is awesome to see.
- 2:21Speaker 1: So, first game of the NBL, and that's what we're focusing on, we have Tasmania versus Melbourne United and well done to Melbourne United taking 88-84 in Tasmania, which is not easy Since Tasmania is bringing to the NBL.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Not easy, they will be up there.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But there's some breaking news.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Stay tuned for that, because anything but can LA now win the championship?
- 2:44Speaker 1: That's the breaking news.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Stay tuned for that, because anything but can LA now win the championship, that's the big question.
- 2:48Speaker 1: So if I do not share this today, it's all over social media Like wow.
- 2:53Speaker 1: So we do come to the next day, their first game for the season.
- 2:57Speaker 1: It's what these two teams went head-to-head in New Zealand and congratulations to Brisbane winning their first win, 104 to their New Zealand Breakers 95, fresh news side and a mother-big crowd sold out for the New Zealand Breakers.
- 3:15Speaker 1: So well done to Brisbane Bullets which is taking their claim.
- 3:20Speaker 1: First win for the NBL 26 on Friday night basketball we got a doubleheader, we got the other Melbourne team and their first home game they take on Kent High Pens Join as the well, a little bit to do with Townsville, a little bit community and that was a bit of a situation.
- 3:39Speaker 1: And Perth Warker first game for the year as Tasmania Juck Jumpers taking the road, their second game for the season.
- 3:48Speaker 1: So the final score for the first game in Melbourne South East Melbourne Phoenix 1-1-4, defeated 77.
- 3:56Speaker 1: They are looking the best team to look out to for their claim, first championship in NBL history since joining the NBL.
- 4:04Speaker 1: And the Tasmania Juck Jumpers upset the Perth Wildcats in Perth one of the hardest teams to travel to Perth, to the jungle, and get the win 75-72, game of the round we go to.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Sunday basketball and we had one game.
- 4:20Speaker 1: That's it all I can say.
- 4:22Speaker 1: One game to share in the NBL and Melbourne United and New Zealand went head-to-head.
- 4:28Speaker 1: They already played.
- 4:29Speaker 1: New Zealand and Melbourne United were on the road.
- 4:33Speaker 1: One was in Tasmania, one was at home in New Zealand.
- 4:37Speaker 1: That was Melbourne United.
- 4:38Speaker 1: Two good 1-1-14 to 82.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Very similar result to the other, melbourne Phoenix.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So that's it.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Results are done.
- 4:45Speaker 1: And I don't want to look at the latter too soon, too quickly, as Adelaide really now not the favourites.
- 4:51Speaker 1: They were the favourites coming into the season.
- 4:54Speaker 1: So before we get into the next weekend of basketball starting on the 25th of September, which this will be an absolute battle to watch on Thursday night basketball.
- 5:06Speaker 1: So breaking news for the Adelaide 36ers, and it's a big blown Can LA find a replacement, if they can Allowed a replacement, the big monster, harris, monsters.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Harris, my goodness, a fella, that he was going to be allowed to come back and play basketball.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Unfortunately, it is a heartbroken news for a fella that he's helped and get back him in spirit of basketball and he's absolutely loved down under in Australia, especially in Adelaide.
- 5:36Speaker 1: But that's okay.
- 5:37Speaker 1: We've still got great talent all over.
- 5:40Speaker 1: We've got some Bryce Cotton, we've got, you know, michael Harris, we've got Finn Cameron.
- 5:45Speaker 1: We've got a really good ditch of young, you know young talent and experience as well.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So Isaac Humphries brings them under one to the table.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So we've got some great talent.
- 5:56Speaker 1: We should be up there to win the championship.
- 5:58Speaker 1: It's been too long.
- 5:59Speaker 1: We should get them under championship in our block but moving forward into well, round two, as as they say.
- 6:06Speaker 1: But I think personally it's still for some basketballers.
- 6:10Speaker 1: So we'll go through down, break down.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Some of the teams are yet to play for the season, so player teams have yet to start their season is adelaide 36ers, sydney Kings and Illawarra their championship of 2000 NBL 25.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So first up, we'll go down, break down who's playing and where, and then we'll get my restrictions on the way.
- 6:38Speaker 1: So the first game is we have the NBL showdown here at John Kane Arena, melbourne United.
- 6:45Speaker 1: They will be hosting their home game against the South Eastern Melbourne Phoenix.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Friday Night Basketball in the Cairns Community Centre, which I have been up into a Cairns Type Hands home game back over a decade, 2012 for an Invitational Tournament with Special Olympics.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Well, cairns Type Hands take on the Brisbane Bullet Net game.
- 7:07Speaker 1: We got a doubleheader.
- 7:08Speaker 1: First up, we have New Zealand Breakers back home.
- 7:11Speaker 1: They take on the Perth Warker.
- 7:12Speaker 1: Can Perth get their first win on the season and their first?
- 7:16Speaker 1: We go to the Wynn Entertainment Centre in Inglewood hosting the Tasmania Jackjumpers.
- 7:22Speaker 1: What a game.
- 7:23Speaker 1: That will be their first home game for the season and their first game for the year.
- 7:28Speaker 1: Here we go, the Sunday basketball.
- 7:30Speaker 1: We've been waiting.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Sydney Kings, sydney Kings at Corona Bank Arena.
- 7:36Speaker 1: They take on the Canes Highlands and Nantan.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Your LA first six is in the Brisbane Bullets at the Adelaide in the Hayman Centre.
- 7:46Speaker 1: So what a season of round two and massive lot of fun of basketball.
- 7:51Speaker 1: There's going to be a lot of Wednesday night basketball as well, thursday, friday, saturday and Sunday.
- 7:56Speaker 1: So it's good to see the NBL winning this competition.
- 7:59Speaker 1: You don't have to have a one day break, you have three days.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You're back on court.
- 8:03Speaker 1: The NBA you play the next day.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So it's a very different kind of competition to the NBA, you play the next day.
- 8:08Speaker 1: So it's a very different kind of competition to the NBA, to the NBL, where it's fantastic to have ESPN, but Disney Plus has joined in as well.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Channel 10 in Australia has joined to free to air.
- 8:18Speaker 1: So first up, I'm going with Melbourne United that both win very hard to choose that.
- 8:23Speaker 1: Very, very going to be a very tight battle.
- 8:25Speaker 1: They hate each other on the basketball court but off court it's a different cattle or fish.
- 8:30Speaker 1: So I'm going with Melbourne United to take a well, just over the line.
- 8:34Speaker 1: It should be a five-point victory.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Next game, yes, friday night basketball in Cairns.
- 8:39Speaker 1: I should go for Gulliver, the can type hands, but Brisbane are looking to look really a bit different this season.
- 8:45Speaker 1: So really I think the situation with the well, brisbane, brisbane did take their first win for the season.
- 8:53Speaker 1: So I could go with the Brisbane, but I'm gonna go with the can type hands with the win.
- 8:58Speaker 1: They should take their first win for the season.
- 9:01Speaker 1: We go to Sassamay doubleer in round two and we go back to New Zealand at Spank Arena and I'm just completing that.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Friday night, okay.
- 9:11Speaker 1: So Spank Arena in New Zealand.
- 9:13Speaker 1: We have New Zealand breakers back home and they take on the Perth Wirecuts.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Perth should win this.
- 9:18Speaker 1: You know, okay, it's not easy to pay, go back over to New Zealand, but from Perth to New Zealand not an easy trip.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So a big task, taking a risk.
- 9:27Speaker 1: New Perth Rockets that take a holding victory.
- 9:30Speaker 1: We have the 2000 NBL 25 champions that are back on court that take on the Chasmania Jackjumpers.
- 9:38Speaker 1: A very different side, chasmania Jackjumpers they have, and I really think this game should go to the Iroha to take the win.
- 9:48Speaker 1: So this is it.
- 9:49Speaker 1: This is it A mother team.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Start their season, and we head to Sydney and clear the bank of Arena with the Sydney Kings.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Let's take 10 time hands back on the road again over two days, though, and then we'll share the LA food, since it's their first game for the Seaside on the Brisbane Bullets.
- 10:08Speaker 1: So Sydney Kings for me and LA, I think they should win.
- 10:12Speaker 1: They should take the win as well.
- 10:15Speaker 1: So there you have it.
- 10:16Speaker 1: There you have it, and you can watch the back-to-back free-to-air basketball on your screens on and check it like a guard.
- 10:24Speaker 1: So that's it.
- 10:24Speaker 1: There you have it.
- 10:25Speaker 1: So the first one is Melbourne United for the Thursday night.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Friday night Kent Highlands They'll make it a bit of a risk New Zealand and Real Hawks for the double Saturday, and then the both on Kane, sydney and Adelaide 36-ers.
- 10:39Speaker 1: There you have it.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Well, there you have it.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Wow.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I hope everyone will enjoy as much as we can, and we'll be back on the first week in October.
- 10:50Speaker 1: That's when the basketball really starts their season.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So stay tuned.
- 10:54Speaker 1: What a game that Thursday night basketball All ESPN, disney+.
- 11:00Speaker 1: Go and check your local guards on where you can watch the NBL, because it is absolutely going to be a fantastic opportunity as well.
- 11:10Speaker 1: So, okay, so that's it for now.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 11:14Speaker 1: We'll catch you all later.
- 11:17Speaker 1: My name is BJ signing out for the episode two of the NBL 26 series.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Catch you all later.
