  Speaker 4: to reach their hearts and minds and be able to

  Speaker 4: apply these verses to their lives and the Lord Jesus

  Speaker 4: Christ name I pray a men. So we're gonna be

  Speaker 4: in Matthew chapter twenty eight tonight, the first fifteen verses.

  Speaker 4: If you would like to grab your bibles or get

  Speaker 4: understand that this is a choice to not only put

  Speaker 4: on the Christ's consciousness every day.

  Speaker 4: Get on my two feet, it is also a choice

  Speaker 4: to stay connected to Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It

  Speaker 4: is something that He will never leave you, but we

  Speaker 4: leave him. And this is something that I want to

  Speaker 4: be honest about because there are many times and I'm
• 3:50
  Speaker 4: giving you some time to grab that.

  Speaker 3: Bible, go ahead and do it. Get on the bible

  Speaker 4: We tend to get not only just distracted, and God

  Speaker 4: understands is that we have a life outside of following

  Speaker 4: the spirit. We have our own spirit, we have other

  Speaker 4: spirits that influence us.

  Speaker 3: We have jobs to go to.
• 4:15
  Speaker 4: We not only get distracted, but we have to live
• 4:18
  Speaker 4: our lives.

  Speaker 3: You see how I said our lives.

  Speaker 4: Being a believer for twenty years, it was so easy
• 4:26
  Speaker 4: to just kind of.

  Speaker 3: Push God away.

  Speaker 4: And the more and more that I've been in recovery,

  Speaker 4: the more and more that I have needed. Like before
• 4:40
  Speaker 4: this episode came on, I prayed to be able to

  Speaker 4: be more connected to the Holy Spirit even when I
• 4:51
  Speaker 4: get out of this Wilderness season.

  Speaker 3: I just want to let that sink into your mind.

  Speaker 3: So let's get into it, Matthew.

  Speaker 4: Chapter eight, and we're gonna be talking about Jesus makes
• 5:00
  Speaker 4: a man with a skin disease. Well, again, how many
• 5:03
  Speaker 4: of you are dealing with the disease. How many of
• 5:07
  Speaker 4: you know somebody that is going through a diagnosis, right,
• 5:12
  Speaker 4: that is going through some sort of disease.
• 5:14
  Speaker 3: And I'm not just talking a skin disease.
• 5:17
  Speaker 4: We got different diseases now that are That is a
• 5:20
  Speaker 4: part of life. And this is where God's marvelous miracles
• 5:25
  Speaker 4: can come in. But you have to believe in order
• 5:28
  Speaker 4: to see Amen.

  Speaker 3: So let's get into it. Matthew, Chapter eight.

  Speaker 4: Verse one, Jesus came down from the hill and a
• 5:34
  Speaker 4: large crowd followed him. Verse two, a man with a
• 5:37
  Speaker 4: bad skin disease came to meet him. He went down
• 5:40
  Speaker 4: on his knees in front of Jesus and he said, Sir,
• 5:43
  Speaker 4: if you want you can make me well again, please
• 5:47
  Speaker 4: do it.
• 5:47
  Speaker 3: I want to just.
• 5:48
  Speaker 4: Point out something that stands out to me and the spirit, sir,
• 5:55
  Speaker 4: if you want. Jesus wants to do so many things,
• 6:00
  Speaker 4: but it's what we want. Sometimes we get our once
• 6:04
  Speaker 4: in our needs a little mixed up.
• 6:06
  Speaker 3: Verse three. I'm gonna go deeper.

  Speaker 4: Jesus put out his hand towards the man and touched him.

  Speaker 4: He said, I do want to help you be clean again.

  Speaker 4: Immediately the man's skin was clean again.
• 6:20
  Speaker 3: Verse four.

  Speaker 4: Then Jesus said to the man, listen, you must not
• 6:24
  Speaker 4: tell anyone about this. Instead, go and show yourself to
• 6:27
  Speaker 4: the priest. Give the offering that Moses taught people to
• 6:32
  Speaker 4: give after this kind of disease.
• 6:35
  Speaker 3: This will show everyone that you are now well again.
• 6:40
  Speaker 4: It's interesting right that Jesus himself did not boast in
• 6:46
  Speaker 4: his miracles. He wanted to fulfill his father's mission and
• 6:53
  Speaker 4: showing that the priest needed to see that this man
• 6:55
  Speaker 4: was sealed.
• 6:55
  Speaker 3: How was he healing? Right?
• 7:00
  Speaker 4: That he wanted to show by example, not by oh,
• 7:05
  Speaker 4: a person or a spirit in the realm of the
• 7:13
  Speaker 4: medical field. Right, it had to be supernatural. Let me
• 7:18
  Speaker 4: go deeper. We're gonna go deeper into what this really means.
• 7:23
  Speaker 3: The first four.
• 7:26
  Speaker 4: Verses, right, we're talking about Jesus performing a miracle, which
• 7:32
  Speaker 4: we can put an sse at the end of that.

  Speaker 4: Because there were so many miracles that the Bible only
• 7:38
  Speaker 4: records probably a quarter of them, there would be a whole,
• 7:43
  Speaker 4: a whole nother book about Jesus's miracles.

  Speaker 3: And the beauty of.

  Speaker 4: Following Christ is we also have those certain abilities. Now
• 7:58
  Speaker 4: you see how this man believed right that he could
• 8:02
  Speaker 4: be cured, he could be healed. He asked Jesus, do
• 8:05
  Speaker 4: you want to? Of course Jesus wanted to. Jesus wanted
• 8:10
  Speaker 4: to heal everyone. But you have to want it too.
• 8:14
  Speaker 4: So we're gonna get into a Roman army officer trusted
• 8:19
  Speaker 4: Jesus to help him.
• 8:21
  Speaker 3: This is verse five.

  Speaker 4: Jesus went into Carponuma and officer in the Rome army
• 8:28
  Speaker 4: came to meet him.
• 8:30
  Speaker 3: He asked Jesus to help him. Verse six.

  Speaker 4: He said, Sir, my servant is lying in bed at home.

  Speaker 4: He cannot move his legs, and he has a lot
• 8:39
  Speaker 4: of pain.

  Speaker 3: Verse seven.

  Speaker 4: Jesus said to the officer, I will go with you
• 8:44
  Speaker 4: to your house, and I will make your servant well again.

  Speaker 3: Verse eight.

  Speaker 4: We're gonna keep going, but the officer answered, Sir, I
• 8:53
  Speaker 4: am not good enough for you to come into my house. Instead,
• 8:57
  Speaker 4: speak your command. I know that my servant will then
• 9:02
  Speaker 4: be well again.

  Speaker 3: Verse nine.
• 9:04
  Speaker 4: In my work, someone has authority over me. I also
• 9:10
  Speaker 4: have authority over other soldiers. I say to one soldier,
• 9:14
  Speaker 4: go and he goes. I say to another one come,
• 9:19
  Speaker 4: and he comes. I say to my servant, do this,
• 9:22
  Speaker 4: and he does it. Jesus heard what the officer said.
• 9:28
  Speaker 4: He was very surprised. He spoke to the crowd that
• 9:31
  Speaker 4: was following him. I tell you this, I have never
• 9:35
  Speaker 4: found anyone like this man in all of Israel. Nobody
• 9:39
  Speaker 4: else believes in me as well as he does.
• 9:43
  Speaker 3: Verse eleven. I tell you.
• 9:45
  Speaker 4: Many people will come from all over the world to
• 9:47
  Speaker 4: take their place in the Kingdom of Heaven. There will
• 9:51
  Speaker 4: sit down to eat with Abraham Isaac and Jacob. But
• 9:54
  Speaker 4: other people who think that God's kingdom belongs to them
• 9:57
  Speaker 4: will not be there. God's angels will throw them into
• 10:01
  Speaker 4: the dark places.
• 10:02
  Speaker 3: That are far from far away from God.
• 10:05
  Speaker 4: There those people will weep very much. They will bite
• 10:11
  Speaker 4: their teeth together.
• 10:12
  Speaker 3: Now he's talking about hell.
• 10:14
  Speaker 4: So when you are not connected with Jesus, if you're
• 10:16
  Speaker 4: not in prayer, if you're not in praise, if you're
• 10:19
  Speaker 4: not into the word, it's not all about just going
• 10:22
  Speaker 4: to church. Church is a beautiful place to get your
• 10:25
  Speaker 4: It is a hospital for sinners. And we all are sinners.
• 10:28
  Speaker 4: We all fall short of God's standards. That's why it's
• 10:31
  Speaker 4: Following Jesus is key. Believing in Jesus is great too,
• 10:35
  Speaker 4: don't get me wrong. But we must deny ourselves.
• 10:40
  Speaker 3: We must take up our cross.
• 10:42
  Speaker 4: We must be able to follow Jesus's footsteps, as hard
• 10:45
  Speaker 4: as it may seem. It's not the popular route. The
• 10:47
  Speaker 4: masses aren't doing it right. Let's get in deeper. Verse thirteen.
• 10:53
  Speaker 4: Then Jesus said to the officer, go home. You believed
• 10:57
  Speaker 4: that I would make your servant well again. And see,
• 11:00
  Speaker 4: we're talking about believing. You have to believe in order
• 11:03
  Speaker 4: to see like I stated in the beginning of these verses,
• 11:06
  Speaker 4: like the man with the skin disease, So I will
• 11:08
  Speaker 4: do it for you. At that moment, the officer servant
• 11:13
  Speaker 4: did become well. Again, Jesus doesn't even have to be
• 11:17
  Speaker 4: in the vicinity. You just have to believe. The one
• 11:21
  Speaker 4: person that was in the middle had to believe. That's
• 11:24
  Speaker 4: why these powers of prayers is so crucial. See how
• 11:31
  Speaker 4: I took a little pause, right, I'm reminding myself. The
• 11:35
  Speaker 4: spirit is reminding me how deep this can really be
• 11:41
  Speaker 4: for those that believe.

  Speaker 3: Amen.

  Speaker 4: So we're talking now, and we're going to go ahead

  Speaker 4: powerful verses, so I want to close out. Then, Jesus

  Speaker 4: said to the officer. We already said that. So now

  Speaker 4: we're talking about Jesus. Many people well. At Peter's house
• 12:03
  Speaker 4: Verse fourteen. Jesus went into Peter's house. There he saw
• 12:07
  Speaker 4: the mother of Peter's wife. She was lying in bed.

  Speaker 4: She was ill, and her body was very hot.
• 12:14
  Speaker 3: Verse fifteen.
• 12:15
  Speaker 4: And we'll close out and put on one of my

  Speaker 4: her hand and immediately she was well again. So she

  Speaker 4: got up and she prepared food for Jesus. Jesus was

  Speaker 4: fed well. Now amen, because he deserved it. So I'm

  Speaker 4: A lot of their people they really need to be cured.

  Speaker 4: And I'm really living the like it's not gonna be

  Speaker 4: the weak, It's not going to be the pills. I'm

  Speaker 4: telling you right now, I live full the thrill, and

  Speaker 4: I thought all those things would take it away. And

  Speaker 4: I'm talking about the pain, and I'm talking about tempo

  Speaker 4: where it really fixes. I know when you drink them

  Speaker 4: spirit bas Yeah, they taking you a whole nother dimension.

  Speaker 3: But it's not gonna be where you really.

  Speaker 4: Want to find peace. Yeah, I really want to be
