ai morning #21 — grok 4.5 ships today as spacex and cursor's opus-class model at lower cost
Two flagship-tier models land in 24 hours. Grok 4.5 ships today — faster and cheaper than anything at that capability tier before it. The same morning, OpenAI officially confirmed Sol, Terra, and Luna for Thursday's public launch. Together they've opened a gap on everything else.
Marcus walks through what happened, why an early Sol tester called both models a jump that has opened a large gap on everything else, and what it means for builders who need to update their routing logic now.
