- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome back to the Epstein Chronicles Today.
- 0:04Speaker 1: For this look back episode, we're going to slide back
- 0:07Speaker 1: to twenty and nineteen and we're going to check out
- 0:11Speaker 1: an article from The New York Times about Glaine Maxwell
- 0:15Speaker 1: and her Terremar Project. So let's dive right in. This
- 0:21Speaker 1: article was authored by Jacob Bernstein, headline, whatever happened to
- 0:27Speaker 1: Glaine Maxwell's plan to save the oceans? The philanthropic works
- 0:31Speaker 1: of Jeffrey Epstein's ex girlfriend co conspirator never materialized. Now
- 0:37Speaker 1: she is being sued by one of his survivors. Boy,
- 0:40Speaker 1: how things have changed since twenty nineteen. Huh. In twenty fourteen,
- 0:49Speaker 1: Gallaiine Maxwell spoke at a Council on Foreign Relations event
- 0:53Speaker 1: in Washington, DC. She was there in her capacity as
- 0:57Speaker 1: the founder of the Terremar Project and Ocean she had it,
- 1:00Speaker 1: conservation group she started in twenty twelve. According to a
- 1:05Speaker 1: CFR spokeswoman, Now I did an episode about the CFR
- 1:08Speaker 1: recently and about their scumbag relationship scumbag behavior with Jeffrey Epstein,
- 1:14Speaker 1: and it shouldn't shock anybody that Gallaine Maxwell was also
- 1:18Speaker 1: involved with them as well. The CFR is one of
- 1:22Speaker 1: the world's most prestigious nonprofit think tanks. Among its officers
- 1:27Speaker 1: and directors then were David Rockefeller, one of the modern
- 1:30Speaker 1: era's most revered philanthropists, Colin Powell, and Robert Rubin, the
- 1:36Speaker 1: Secretary of the Treasury under Bill Clinton. A who's who
- 1:40Speaker 1: of scumbags basically is what they're telling you. David Rockefeller, huh, yeah,
- 1:44Speaker 1: his family share worked out well for everybody in this country.
- 1:48Speaker 1: It shouldn't be a shock to see somebody that was
- 1:50Speaker 1: hanging out with Bill Clinton on this either. And then
- 1:53Speaker 1: Colin Powell, another guy that ran around with this whole
- 1:56Speaker 1: squeaky clean image until the Iraq War camerolling around. The
- 2:03Speaker 1: Terremar Project was an organization with an opaque website and
- 2:07Speaker 1: a founder who happened to be the ex girlfriend, co conspirator, general,
- 2:11Speaker 1: all around scusbag of Jeffrey Epstein, the mysterious money manager who,
- 2:15Speaker 1: in addition to being one of the CFRs chairman circle
- 2:19Speaker 1: donors for at least six years, had pleaded guilty in
- 2:23Speaker 1: two thousand and eight to state charges of soliciting prostitution
- 2:27Speaker 1: from a minor. Now Epstein wasn't just a member of
- 2:31Speaker 1: the CFR. He was one of the CFR's chairman circle donors,
- 2:36Speaker 1: meaning Epstein was doning a donating a ton of money
- 2:39Speaker 1: to the CFR for sure. Now, in the article we
- 2:42Speaker 1: read earlier, we heard that the CFR donated the money
- 2:46Speaker 1: that they received from Epstein. But again, why are you
- 2:50Speaker 1: even accepting this money in the first place. Mister Epstein
- 2:58Speaker 1: spent the next year in county jail, becoming a symbol
- 3:01Speaker 1: of the super rich getting away with crimes that seem
- 3:04Speaker 1: likely to send ordinary prison people to prison for far longer.
- 3:08Speaker 1: Oh seem to be. Guess what, folks, if you commit
- 3:11Speaker 1: any of these crimes, you're going to prison forever. I
- 3:14Speaker 1: promise you that there's not going to be any of
- 3:16Speaker 1: this nonsense. You're not gonna have left Kowitz behind the
- 3:19Speaker 1: scenes working a deal out for you. You're not gonna have
- 3:22Speaker 1: Dershowitz up there fighting for you. You're certainly not going
- 3:25Speaker 1: to have ken Starr there. Miss Maxwell herself would be
- 3:31Speaker 1: a party to confidential settlements with at least two other
- 3:35Speaker 1: people who said that they were survivors of mister Epstein
- 3:38Speaker 1: and that miss Maxwell was responsible for recruiting them. And
- 3:42Speaker 1: we know now obviously with hindsight, as our friend that
- 3:45Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell ended up getting charged and convicted of those crimes.
- 3:52Speaker 1: She has never been charged with any crime now she
- 3:54Speaker 1: has and continues to deny wrongdoing. Like I said then
- 3:58Speaker 1: and I'll say now, she was lying, she involved, and
- 4:01Speaker 1: I was very comfortable saying it considering the evidence that
- 4:04Speaker 1: we had presented to us. Look, if this was some
- 4:06Speaker 1: kind of gray area and we didn't have a ton
- 4:08Speaker 1: of evidence, I would never be running my mouth the
- 4:11Speaker 1: way I am. I'm not one of these people that, oh,
- 4:13Speaker 1: I'm sure of this, No way unless I have evidence
- 4:16Speaker 1: to back up what I have to say, and something
- 4:18Speaker 1: such as this. You know this is serious stuff, right,
- 4:22Speaker 1: You're talking about sexual assault and ruining people's lives both ways,
- 4:26Speaker 1: So you better be damn sure you know you're talking
- 4:28Speaker 1: about We were unaware of the allegations against miss Maxwell
- 4:36Speaker 1: at the time of the event, the CFR spokeswoman wrote
- 4:39Speaker 1: in an email. The spokeswoman added that mister Epstein's membership
- 4:43Speaker 1: was revoked in two thousand and nine because he did
- 4:45Speaker 1: not pay his membership dues while in jail, not because
- 4:48Speaker 1: he was in jail, not because he was a sex trafficker,
- 4:51Speaker 1: not because he was a sick, fucking demented man. But
- 4:53Speaker 1: because he didn't pay his dues, that's why he had
- 4:57Speaker 1: his shit suspended. Imagine how many times have we talked
- 5:00Speaker 1: talked about it. The only crime you can have if
- 5:02Speaker 1: you're part of this group, the so called elite, is
- 5:05Speaker 1: being broke. Mister Epstein, after facing new charges of sex
- 5:11Speaker 1: trafficking this year, died in jail on August tenth, from
- 5:14Speaker 1: what official said was suicide allegedly, and the Terremar project
- 5:19Speaker 1: has been disbanded, though according to The New York Post,
- 5:22Speaker 1: an FBI probe of it is underway. In the wake
- 5:26Speaker 1: of mister Epstein's death, attention now turns to the woman,
- 5:30Speaker 1: often as of being accused of being as enabler, the
- 5:33Speaker 1: striving socialite, co conspirator, general, all around scusbag, bipedal serpent,
- 5:38Speaker 1: daughter of a disgraced billionaire. Look. Maxwell was always one
- 5:44Speaker 1: of the key targets here. She was always in the headlights,
- 5:48Speaker 1: and the only people that weren't paying attention to that
- 5:51Speaker 1: were the legacy media with their alleged and calling her
- 5:54Speaker 1: a socialite when the writing was on the wall. Look
- 5:59Speaker 1: how quickly the legacy media doesn't matter what their tilt is,
- 6:03Speaker 1: look out quickly they're willing to talk shit about people
- 6:08Speaker 1: or say somebody is this, that or the other thing?
- 6:11Speaker 1: And then look how cautious they were when they were
- 6:13Speaker 1: talking about Maxwell and Epstein and the people around them.
- 6:17Speaker 1: I wonder why that is philanthropy is reputation management. According
- 6:23Speaker 1: to tax filings from twenty thirteen to twenty seventeen, the
- 6:28Speaker 1: organization gave no money in grants. A representative for the
- 6:32Speaker 1: Taromar Project said in a statement that the work of
- 6:35Speaker 1: the organization included help included helping organize the March for
- 6:39Speaker 1: the Ocean in Washington, a campaign to reduce the number
- 6:42Speaker 1: of littered cigarette butts, and publication of The Daily Catch,
- 6:46Speaker 1: an oceanic conservation newsletter. The TerraMar Project also obtained a
- 6:52Speaker 1: partnership with the luxury betting company Eve's delarm on, a
- 6:56Speaker 1: collection of water inspired sheets, pillowcases, and comforters. Oh isn't
- 7:00Speaker 1: that nice. That's jump into bed with Glenn Maxwell, because
- 7:04Speaker 1: you know, there was no signs that she was a
- 7:07Speaker 1: sick person. Really what it was? All the signs were there, folks.
- 7:13Speaker 1: These people didn't care. Ow and Relly, you and Relly,
- 7:18Speaker 1: excuse me? A British investment banker and society fixer, who
- 7:23Speaker 1: encountered Miss Maxwell at several events over the decades. Though
- 7:26Speaker 1: the charity, as she explained to him, sounded at least
- 7:29Speaker 1: in part, to be a form of reputation management. And
- 7:34Speaker 1: we already know that's what they did. They use these
- 7:37Speaker 1: charities as a shield. They all do, every single one
- 7:39Speaker 1: of them. Christopher Mason, a reporter and longtime friend of
- 7:44Speaker 1: Miss Maxwell's, said he wondered if her primary motivation for
- 7:47Speaker 1: starting the foundation was oceanic conservation or the conservation of
- 7:53Speaker 1: Gleann Maxwell creating a respectable calling card for someone whose
- 7:58Speaker 1: reputation was in jet This is the go to move
- 8:02Speaker 1: for the so called delete right. Oh, you're having problems
- 8:04Speaker 1: that build yourself a new reputation, You'll be fine. But
- 8:08Speaker 1: I don't think it's going to work this time around.
- 8:10Speaker 1: And I certainly don't think it was working when you
- 8:13Speaker 1: were talking about the TerraMar project and it was in jeopardy.
- 8:19Speaker 1: The day before mister Epstein's death, a trove of documents
- 8:22Speaker 1: were released in connection with a defamation suit that Virginia
- 8:25Speaker 1: Roberts filed against Miss Maxwell. Miss Roberts said that at
- 8:29Speaker 1: age sixteen, she was recruited by Miss Maxwell and forced
- 8:33Speaker 1: into being a sex slave. Miss Maxwell, called Miss Roberts
- 8:36Speaker 1: a liar, was sued and settled in a deposition of
- 8:40Speaker 1: former maintenance worker at mister Epstein's home describe Miss Maxwell's
- 8:43Speaker 1: scouting scores of massage spas and parlors in Florida from
- 8:48Speaker 1: Palm Beach to Jupiter from mister Epstein. A college student
- 8:52Speaker 1: said she was scouted by Miss Maxwell and that she
- 8:55Speaker 1: was punished by Miss Maxwell when she failed to sexually
- 8:58Speaker 1: satisfy Epstein. Now Jennifer Areos has filed suit against Miss
- 9:03Speaker 1: Maxwell and others, saying that she was recruited as a
- 9:06Speaker 1: freshman in high school and raped by mister Epstein. Now,
- 9:10Speaker 1: these are all allegations that we're all very familiar with
- 9:13Speaker 1: at this point, being that we're in twenty twenty two now.
- 9:17Speaker 1: But at the time when all of this stuff was
- 9:20Speaker 1: coming out, it was coming out furiously, folks and fast,
- 9:24Speaker 1: so it was hard to keep, you know, an account
- 9:27Speaker 1: of who was doing what and who was blamed accusing
- 9:30Speaker 1: who of what. So it was a pretty confusing time.
- 9:35Speaker 1: Miss Maxwell had negligible experience as an environmental activist. Her
- 9:40Speaker 1: preferred method of ocean going was a border luxury yacht, which,
- 9:43Speaker 1: according to mister Mason, was for her pre eminent symbol
- 9:46Speaker 1: of status and freedom. It was through Boting that she
- 9:50Speaker 1: drew her inspiration for the foundation. You know, what's with
- 9:54Speaker 1: all of these oligarchs, ours and otherwise, with these yachts,
- 9:57Speaker 1: Like it's this big symbol. First of all, why don't
- 10:00Speaker 1: you go on your yacht and sail it directly into
- 10:03Speaker 1: the next hurricane. You'll be doing the whole world a
- 10:06Speaker 1: huge favor. She spent much of her time in the
- 10:10Speaker 1: late nineteen eighties on the Lady Golaine, a nearly two
- 10:13Speaker 1: hundred foot boat owned by her father, the media mogul
- 10:16Speaker 1: Robert Maxwell. It had a jacuzzi, a sauna, a gym,
- 10:20Speaker 1: and a private disco. Deep in debt, he built the
- 10:23Speaker 1: pensions of thousands of his employees, and his body was
- 10:27Speaker 1: discovered in the ocean off the Canary Islands where he
- 10:30Speaker 1: had taken the Lady Golaine in nineteen ninety one. The
- 10:34Speaker 1: death was ruled an accident. The family reportedly lost almost everything,
- 10:39Speaker 1: including the boat. Now again, I don't know if it
- 10:42Speaker 1: was an accident or not. When you're dealing with that
- 10:45Speaker 1: kind of pressure, as far as you owe a bunch
- 10:48Speaker 1: of money. Yeah, sure, the chances are you could kill yourself,
- 10:51Speaker 1: but you're also dealing with a man who was an
- 10:54Speaker 1: asset for several different intelligence agencies. And if you're going
- 10:58Speaker 1: down in flames for financial crimes, chances are you're willing
- 11:03Speaker 1: to give up your sources and contacts and everything else
- 11:06Speaker 1: to prosecutors for a more lenient deal. So again, I'm
- 11:11Speaker 1: very agnostic when it comes to Robert Maxwell's death. Miss Maxwell,
- 11:16Speaker 1: then living in New York, became known for her romantic
- 11:19Speaker 1: relationship with Epstein, Oh please spare me no romance there,
- 11:24Speaker 1: who was an all purpose advisor for the billionaire Les Wexner.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Mister Wexner said in a letter of the Wexner Foundation
- 11:30Speaker 1: that in two thousand and seven he discovered misappropriation of
- 11:34Speaker 1: his funds by mister Epstein. One of Epstein's duties was
- 11:38Speaker 1: handling contracts for the Limitless, a mammoth yacht bought by
- 11:42Speaker 1: mister Wexner and designed by Bannenberg and Raoul. Miss Maxwell
- 11:47Speaker 1: was eager to get a boored when it was finished,
- 11:50Speaker 1: but never did. According to Craig Deafoya, its former captain. Oh,
- 11:54Speaker 1: of course, have to get her CDs gross hands on
- 11:57Speaker 1: it as well, let me go and check out let's luxury.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Glen would always call me and say, I'm coming down
- 12:05Speaker 1: to use the boat with some friends. I'd always tell her,
- 12:08Speaker 1: I have to call the owner. I can't just let
- 12:10Speaker 1: you on the boat. And she would never show up,
- 12:12Speaker 1: said mister Tafoya, who took this to me, And she
- 12:15Speaker 1: never got permission. She did that half a dozen times.
- 12:19Speaker 1: And in talking to a guy who worked for Bannenberg,
- 12:22Speaker 1: he said she does that all the time. She does
- 12:24Speaker 1: it when she's in front of all of her girlfriends
- 12:27Speaker 1: and wants to brag she can go use someone's yacht,
- 12:30Speaker 1: her Plan B. And you know it's typical of these people, right,
- 12:34Speaker 1: they're very name droppy. They can't you know, it's not
- 12:38Speaker 1: good enough for them that they have their own millions.
- 12:40Speaker 1: They have to drop the names of their buddies as well.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Ted Waite is the tech billionaire co founder of Gateway Incorporated,
- 12:48Speaker 1: who became miss Maxwell's boyfriend after she and Epstein broke up.
- 12:52Speaker 1: They didn't break up. Plan B, the yacht miss Maxwell
- 12:56Speaker 1: helped them obtain and renovate, brought her to Croatia and
- 12:59Speaker 1: this out the France. His check writing helped secure her
- 13:02Speaker 1: place at conferences as they replaced benefit galas as the
- 13:07Speaker 1: first tier social gatherings of the late aughts that was
- 13:11Speaker 1: essential to getting the Tara Mar project off the ground.
- 13:15Speaker 1: So Ted Waits was this billionaire dude that Maxwell was
- 13:18Speaker 1: shacked up with after her and Epstein had their quote
- 13:21Speaker 1: unquote falling out, which really was just a reevaluation of
- 13:25Speaker 1: their you know, organization. So she went off and met
- 13:29Speaker 1: up with Ted Waits ended up being his chick his
- 13:33Speaker 1: girlfriend is whatever, and obviously was using his checkbook to
- 13:38Speaker 1: you know, support her gallivanting when met When he met
- 13:47Speaker 1: Miss Maxwell, mister Waite had a stringy, graying ponytail and
- 13:51Speaker 1: wore drab suits. After she became his girlfriend, mister Waite
- 13:55Speaker 1: shaved his head, starting wearing wearing tinted glasses and became
- 13:59Speaker 1: a virtualdappelganger Adjason statum. Oh well, in that case, there
- 14:04Speaker 1: was even a submarine put aboard Plan B that Miss
- 14:07Speaker 1: Maxwell knew how to pilot. She began deep sea diving,
- 14:10Speaker 1: which she said is how she discovered human made debris
- 14:15Speaker 1: all over the ocean floor. You know, where are the
- 14:18Speaker 1: giant squid when you need them? A large ass Kraken
- 14:22Speaker 1: to grab the submarine boy that had been nice. Four
- 14:26Speaker 1: people remember Miss Maxwell talking of journeying to the center
- 14:29Speaker 1: of the Pacific Ocean in an attempt to find She
- 14:32Speaker 1: said a Millia Earhart's plane and body. Oh yeah, because
- 14:36Speaker 1: the body is still going to be there after all
- 14:38Speaker 1: of these years. No sea creatures would have gotten to
- 14:41Speaker 1: it by now, Miss Maxwell. The conviction of mister Epstein
- 14:45Speaker 1: and subsequently bad press for Miss Maxwell war on mister Wade.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Friend said in twenty ten they broke up, but mister
- 14:52Speaker 1: Wade had donated at least ten million to the William J.
- 14:55Speaker 1: Clinton Foundation that helped Miss Maxwell keep some access to
- 14:59Speaker 1: the world of the Clintons. She used connections forged at
- 15:03Speaker 1: their summits to help with the twenty twelve start of
- 15:06Speaker 1: the Terra Mar project. So this is right here from
- 15:09Speaker 1: the New York Times itself. Folks, Where are all of
- 15:12Speaker 1: the people, all of the weird ass blue check marks
- 15:15Speaker 1: that want to talk about the Epstein case to leverage
- 15:18Speaker 1: it for their own you know, political bend. Where are
- 15:22Speaker 1: they when they're talking about this in the Clintons. It's
- 15:27Speaker 1: funny you can always tell who has interest in actually
- 15:29Speaker 1: blowing this case wide open, and those who only have
- 15:32Speaker 1: interest of using it as a political mallet to bash
- 15:36Speaker 1: over the heads of their rivals. And the people that
- 15:38Speaker 1: are only using this case as a political tool, You
- 15:41Speaker 1: people can get fucked too. All oceans are interconnected and related.
- 15:47Speaker 1: It's all one c Miss Maxwell said to a reporter
- 15:50Speaker 1: for the Mother Nature Network in a twenty twelve interview.
- 15:55Speaker 1: It's the one major area of the world where we
- 15:57Speaker 1: can be one species with one home and one common destiny.
- 16:01Speaker 1: He okay, sure, Miss Maxwell. The Terremar website trumpeted the
- 16:08Speaker 1: support of well connected founding citizens like Richard Branson, a
- 16:13Speaker 1: maritime assolene, a founder of the luxury coffee table books
- 16:17Speaker 1: publisher that bears her name. Oh good old Richard Branson.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Huh another scuzz back. He just bought a property here
- 16:25Speaker 1: in Las Vegas, the Old hard Rock, and they turned
- 16:28Speaker 1: it into the Virgin Resorts. In twenty thirteen, Miss Maxwell
- 16:34Speaker 1: went to Rakschevik and participated in a conference for the
- 16:37Speaker 1: Arctic Circle. Scott Borgerson, a former Coastguard officer and a
- 16:41Speaker 1: one time Council on Foreign Relations fellow, also attended. He
- 16:45Speaker 1: also appeared with her at the twenty fourteen talk for
- 16:48Speaker 1: the CFR, and, according to numerous friends of miss Maxwell,
- 16:52Speaker 1: became her boyfriend. Three of those friends said she later
- 16:55Speaker 1: described him to them as a Navy seal. Mister Borgerson
- 16:59Speaker 1: declined to you know, what's the deal with everybody thinking
- 17:02Speaker 1: that their Navy seals. Yeah, Jeffrey Epstein running around with
- 17:05Speaker 1: these medals on got borgerouson acting like he's a Navy seal.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Bro is in the Coast Guard. Nothing wrong with that.
- 17:11Speaker 1: A lot of honor to be in the Coast Guard.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Why are you faking the funk? Though around that time
- 17:17Speaker 1: the Clinton Global Initiative announced a commitment to action from
- 17:20Speaker 1: the TerraMar Project, little exists that it amounted to much.
- 17:26Speaker 1: The fact that they were in bed together should be enough,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and the fact that this is in the New York
- 17:30Speaker 1: Times itself, and the New York Times isn't going hard
- 17:33Speaker 1: here and really looking to solidify things as far as
- 17:38Speaker 1: Clinton's involvement, again tells you everything you need to know.
- 17:41Speaker 1: And that's why I just don't trust anything they have
- 17:43Speaker 1: to say. For the most part, the tax returns of
- 17:47Speaker 1: the Taromar Project show that between twenty and thirteen and
- 17:51Speaker 1: twenty and seventeen, the organization received one hundred and ninety
- 17:55Speaker 1: six thousand in public support and paid out in various
- 17:58Speaker 1: expenses more than six hundred thousand dollars, requiring loans from
- 18:03Speaker 1: its president, Miss Maxwell, totaling five hundred and forty nine
- 18:07Speaker 1: thousand and ninety three cents. Yeah, just you know, some
- 18:10Speaker 1: pocket change for Glenn Maxwell. The filings do not provide
- 18:14Speaker 1: names of the firms or individuals to whom those payments
- 18:17Speaker 1: were made. No programs were started for work in the field,
- 18:21Speaker 1: no grants were given. Just another money laundering washing operation.
- 18:25Speaker 1: That's all, nothing more and nothing less, folks. And again,
- 18:29Speaker 1: what happened to them? Nothing, no penalties, no repercussions. Over
- 18:34Speaker 1: all these terms, not a single dollar, said Mike Crabtree,
- 18:37Speaker 1: a tax partner at Boulet, a CPA firm in Minneapolis.
- 18:41Speaker 1: The returns don't really show what's going on, where the
- 18:43Speaker 1: money is going, and what it's being used for. In
- 18:46Speaker 1: twenty fourteen, Teromar's accounting in legal fees were more than
- 18:50Speaker 1: fifty thousand dollars, an unusually high number given the size
- 18:55Speaker 1: and activity of the organization. According to mister Crabtree, I
- 18:59Speaker 1: don't know if cecil vicious is the word. I'd use.
- 19:01Speaker 1: But to generate those kinds of fees, a lot more
- 19:04Speaker 1: would have to be going on than this would reflect,
- 19:07Speaker 1: he said, as mister Epstein at last was charged in
- 19:10Speaker 1: July with conducting a sex trafficking operation that investigators say
- 19:14Speaker 1: resulted in the sexual assault of dozens of miners. The
- 19:18Speaker 1: TEROMR projects shut down, of course it did, But during
- 19:22Speaker 1: that whole time, while Epstein was still running around and
- 19:26Speaker 1: procuring young girls, Maxwell was still benefiting, and all of
- 19:30Speaker 1: these scumbags from Clinton on down were helping her out.
- 19:34Speaker 1: It left a farewell message on its website saying it
- 19:37Speaker 1: had sought to connect ocean lovers to positive actions, highlight science,
- 19:41Speaker 1: and bring conscious change to how people from across the
- 19:44Speaker 1: globe can live, work, and enjoy the ocean. Meanwhile, we
- 19:49Speaker 1: all know what it really was for. She doesn't care
- 19:51Speaker 1: about the ocean any more than she cares about you
- 19:54Speaker 1: or me. Just another con artist running a con. If
