- 0:00SPEAKER_05: Hey, welcome to Trap Souls Podcast.
- 0:01SPEAKER_05: I am Ryan.
- 0:02SPEAKER_05: I'm here with Drop Dead Paranormal Heather and Carissa.
- 0:06SPEAKER_05: How are you doing?
- 0:08unknown: Good.
- 0:09SPEAKER_05: Good.
- 0:10SPEAKER_05: So let's start with the name Drop Dead Paranormal.
- 0:13SPEAKER_05: Where'd it come from?
- 0:14SPEAKER_02: From tossing a lot of names around.
- 0:18SPEAKER_02: Um, pulled lots of names, put them in a list, just kept going down, and that one really stuck.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: And it just I really wanted to find something that I felt like fit us as a group.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: And then, you know, from the name decision came the Lady Reaper, and it just it just all came together.
- 0:40SPEAKER_05: How is Kansas paranormal wise?
- 0:43SPEAKER_05: I mean, I haven't had anybody on from Kansas yet.
- 0:46SPEAKER_05: I don't think so.
- 0:46SPEAKER_05: If I did, I apologize.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: But I don't think I've got going on.
- 0:51SPEAKER_02: No, we kind of hit the same.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, I'm sure they're in there somewhere.
- 0:57SPEAKER_02: We just haven't uncovered them yet.
- 1:00SPEAKER_02: Um, but we kind of in our area kind of hit up the same kind of rotating.
- 1:06SPEAKER_02: We have added a few more on um in there this upcoming this year.
- 1:13SPEAKER_02: So we've got some new ones, but we do have our ones that we hit up regularly.
- 1:18SPEAKER_05: So Kansas as a state is it, but I mean, I think farmland tornadoes, I mean, that's what I think of when I think of Kansas.
- 1:28SPEAKER_05: Is that most of the state that way?
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 1:34unknown: Okay.
- 1:36SPEAKER_05: I'm not making fun of Kansas.
- 1:37SPEAKER_05: I just because you said there's not many places, so I'm thinking just a lot of spread out areas.
- 1:44SPEAKER_01: So in our local area, um so okay, so Heather and me are are a little bit different.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: She really likes to go to some of the well-known places, and I do too.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: We all love that, but I also really love our local establishments and just um kind of mom and pop places, businesses, homes, those are my favorite.
- 2:07SPEAKER_01: But Heather has us really branching out this coming year and um getting out of our little circle, out of, you know, because we hit Atches and Acheson's supposed to be like one of the most haunted cities in the United States and um Garnet, Kansas, and then some of our local things here that we get to do, some things that we can't talk about.
- 2:28SPEAKER_05: But yeah, no, I understand that.
- 2:30SPEAKER_05: So, how far do you have to are you guys gonna branch out next year?
- 2:35SPEAKER_02: Um, we are going to Ashmore estates and uh Malvern Manor.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: So a little a little further out, these will probably be.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: I mean, outside of I can't remember how long it.
- 2:50SPEAKER_02: I mean, Missouri State Penitentiary was probably another one that was a little bit of a drive for us.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: And I think Ashmore will probably be our longest.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: I think that's God.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: I looked at the nine or the 14.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: Oh, no, no.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: Those are those are uh we were looking at Trans-Allegheny uh with uh Scott from Ghostlight, but then also Waverly.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: I was like, why are we going all the way to Trans Allegheny?
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: It's 14 hours.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: We can go to Waverly and it's nine.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: Um, but yeah, so I'd say probably Ashmore upcoming is gonna be our uh biggest trek that we've done so far.
- 3:25SPEAKER_05: Ashmore is about seven hours from me.
- 3:27SPEAKER_05: I mean, if I was you, I'd go hit Waverly, Old Hospital on College Hill, then Trans Algani.
- 3:33SPEAKER_05: They're right in the line.
- 3:34SPEAKER_02: I mean that is that sounds like a a whole like week-long trek that we would really have to plan for.
- 3:44SPEAKER_05: Oh, it is.
- 3:44SPEAKER_05: We did a week long last year.
- 3:46SPEAKER_05: We did six places and five nights.
- 3:48SPEAKER_05: Wow, don't do that ever.
- 3:51SPEAKER_05: Don't ever do that.
- 3:53SPEAKER_02: I wish I've got a little one and my husband's a truck driver, so it kind of makes it hard during the week to branch out too much.
- 4:00SPEAKER_02: Now, if I plan far enough ahead, I could maybe make it happen, but yeah, that would be a lot.
- 4:05SPEAKER_05: Yeah, it's a lot.
- 4:06SPEAKER_05: I mean, let's talk about like family and paranormal.
- 4:08SPEAKER_05: I mean, it's not brought up a lot, but it's a lot trying to plan stuff around family, especially like my wife is not into this stuff, so she's not like hey, let's go do this, and she's like, Oh, you're doing that again.
- 4:23SPEAKER_05: Which she's not into it, I'm fine with that, and she's fine with me doing it, I think.
- 4:27SPEAKER_05: But yeah, it's hard planning.
- 4:30SPEAKER_05: How many people are in your group?
- 4:33SPEAKER_02: Um, we have three.
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 4:36SPEAKER_05: So that's that's not bad.
- 4:37SPEAKER_05: I mean, I had seven in mine, I think I still do.
- 4:41SPEAKER_02: Um, it's hard to get everybody together with my it really is, especially if you're taking you know time off work and that kind of stuff, because we're all in we all work in the same for the same company but different departments.
- 4:54SPEAKER_02: So some are busier than others certain times of year.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: So it's just yeah, it can be a little challenging, but we seem to make it work.
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we burned through our PTO very well with this.
- 5:06SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, yeah, my the one kid I go guy, not kid, guy that I do this with, he's he went to a different shift, totally opposite of me.
- 5:16SPEAKER_05: So now, like our vacations, it's hard to plan.
- 5:19SPEAKER_05: But we we got a couple weeks off together this year, so we can hopefully hit some stuff.
- 5:24SPEAKER_05: Say we're gonna do Indiana.
- 5:26SPEAKER_05: All right, so let's get into some paranormal stuff here.
- 5:29SPEAKER_05: What is what are the hot spots out there for you?
- 5:32SPEAKER_05: Like you guys hit a lot of the same spots.
- 5:35SPEAKER_05: Like, what's the one spot?
- 5:36SPEAKER_05: If I'm coming out to Kansas, what's the one spot I have to go to?
- 5:40SPEAKER_02: I mean, yeah, it's it's such a such a close because each there's three spots in my mind that have like their own unique qualities that make them so special and that are super have been super active when we've gone dang near every single time.
- 5:59SPEAKER_02: It's like a little love triangle between Garnett, Sleeper, and the villa, McIntyre Villa.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: In my mind, anyways.
- 6:10SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, Garnet's popular.
- 6:12SPEAKER_05: I've heard of it.
- 6:13SPEAKER_05: So I mean.
- 6:15SPEAKER_05: What is Garnet's just a house, right?
- 6:18SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it used to be a um hotel for a really long time.
- 6:26SPEAKER_02: Um, started out as a residential um spot though when it was first built.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: Um, I mean 1858, right?
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: So we're talking lots of history.
- 6:37SPEAKER_02: Um, a photography studio, a jail, doctor's office.
- 6:41SPEAKER_02: Doctor's office was the last thing that it was.
- 6:45SPEAKER_02: So yeah, it's it's seen a lot.
- 6:46SPEAKER_02: It was part of the Underground Railroad.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: It's got uh where you could see where the tunnel was downstairs in the basement.
- 6:53SPEAKER_02: Like it's just it's packed full of history, but it's yeah, it's a it's a house, uh about see one, two, three, four, I don't know, six or so rooms on the first floor, and four or five-ish on the second, so it's pretty good size.
- 7:13SPEAKER_05: So what makes it haunted?
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: What doesn't make it haunted?
- 7:21SPEAKER_05: Is there like one spirit at the Garnett house that sticks out above everybody else?
- 7:28SPEAKER_02: We have yet to figure out.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: I mean, there's that's I think the most intriguing part about Garnett and what keeps like drawing you back.
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: And I mean, really, it could be with any location too, like for other investigators.
- 7:42SPEAKER_02: But um for me, for us, I feel like the more we go, the more we find out answers.
- 7:49SPEAKER_02: So there's a particular entity that is called the grinner there.
- 7:55SPEAKER_02: Um, he's been seen a few times um throughout the house.
- 7:59SPEAKER_02: He is very tall, uh, has somebody painted a picture of him um where they saw him in the house at one point.
- 8:08SPEAKER_02: And he has long fingers, he has a big grin, he's just very creepy looking.
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: They've also seen him in the form of like a goat.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, he's um I haven't quite figured out what he is yet.
- 8:25SPEAKER_02: Um, I have some theories.
- 8:27SPEAKER_02: Um I don't know if he was brought there or if it was just something that kind of, I mean, 1858, so a lot of history, a lot of dark history when it comes to.
- 8:38SPEAKER_02: I mean, there was um a freed slave that lived in the attic of that house for the original owner um or the original, the guy who built it, and he murdered a woman across the street with an axe.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: And then allegedly.
- 8:56SPEAKER_02: Allegedly, and then came back on upstairs to because he used to stay in the attic.
- 9:01SPEAKER_02: Um, and then he ended up they ended up um hanging him for that crime.
- 9:09SPEAKER_02: Um, and so I don't know if it's something else that's just gravitated toward like the darker things that are that have happened at that house throughout time or what he is, but we're we're finding out little by little, I feel like you find out more and more.
- 9:24SPEAKER_05: Like you're talking like goat and stuff, and I'm not gonna use the word that everybody uses when they say that type of stuff.
- 9:31SPEAKER_05: But do you think it's uh just an entity that's uh that was non-human?
- 9:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 9:40SPEAKER_01: It's possible, it's just that there are some recurring uh spirits that we converse with when we're there.
- 9:49SPEAKER_01: Um we don't know if for sure we think David is the grinner when David comes through.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: And David often sometimes he could be super conversational, but other times when he comes through, he just gets really nasty really quick.
- 10:03SPEAKER_01: Um and then John was the name of that person who uh was accused of um killing Adeline, and we get that name that's come through a lot, and then Heather saw um upstairs that cowboy shadow figure, and it was in what's called the cowboy room.
- 10:25SPEAKER_01: And he, you know, she could tell that story, but um, so I just feel like we get some of those real recurring spirits, and just like any place, sometimes you might go and the activity level feels kind of you know lower, you have to really kind of work for it.
- 10:39SPEAKER_01: And sometimes you walk in there and they'll start in with you before you can even set a piece of equipment up.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: So Garnett is known really too for the the location where objects are moved regularly.
- 10:54SPEAKER_02: Um Justin will he's got dolls and ping pong balls and all sorts of stuff around the house.
- 11:01SPEAKER_02: And you know, some of them have sat there for weeks, and then all of a sudden, for no rhyme or reason, it'll just bloop and topple right over.
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: I've had a moment where I asked, we uh popped out for a quick second.
- 11:14SPEAKER_02: We were there for a couple nights and uh popped out for to get some air.
- 11:18SPEAKER_02: And I said I ask for a particular doll to fall and come back in, and there it was on the ground.
- 11:26SPEAKER_02: So that's always a lot of fun.
- 11:30SPEAKER_05: I mean, it seems kind of cool because you guys go there a decent amount of times, but you like the spirits know you and you know the spirits.
- 11:37SPEAKER_02: Yeah, definitely.
- 11:38SPEAKER_05: That's one of the good things about going back to you know, it can get boring doing the same thing over and over and over.
- 11:46SPEAKER_05: But on the other end, it's kind of neat that you're like, hey, heather's here, sweet, you know, let's make this doll fall off, you know.
- 11:55SPEAKER_02: And you almost need it because there's you can't go to a location just once or twice and figure it all out and know, you know, so it you really are like peeling back, feels like we're peeling back layers, and we converse regularly with um Ashley with Pin Paranormal, she loves going there too, and it's so fun to compare stuff that she's you know got and then what we've got, and you can kind of build on that and converse with theories and who this might be or what happened here, so it's a lot of fun.
- 12:29SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I think I've watched every garnet video out there from any paranormal team who's ever gone.
- 12:35SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: It's so fun to see stuff that like they pick up on, and you're like, We got that too, or you know, just something similar.
- 12:43SPEAKER_05: So, yeah, especially if someone's just going there, like people go to Waverly just once just to say they did it, and then they have something that happened to you guys a few times, and they you know, they might say, Did this really happen?
- 12:57SPEAKER_05: And you'd be like, Yeah, this happens all the time.
- 12:59SPEAKER_05: So you just confirm to them, yes, stuff there happens.
- 13:04SPEAKER_05: Um, you know, as a paranormal paranormal group, you're out there trying to get answers, right?
- 13:09SPEAKER_05: And that's what you're doing at the Garnet House.
- 13:11SPEAKER_05: Cool.
- 13:12SPEAKER_05: I mean, we go to Waverly.
- 13:13SPEAKER_05: I've never been to Waverly, I've been to Trans Allegheny twice, but you go to those big places kind of just to say you did them.
- 13:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: Just to step foot.
- 13:23SPEAKER_02: I mean, there's so it's that's the fun part too about paranormal is just the history.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, just that's like when we went to the Missouri State Penitentiary, just being in there and immersing yourself in what they may have experienced.
- 13:35SPEAKER_02: You know, being in that that prison, it's just crazy.
- 13:38SPEAKER_02: I mean, you could sit in the gas chamber of God's sakes, in the same chairs where you know they sat, walk that same walk that they did.
- 13:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's crazy.
- 13:48SPEAKER_05: No, I think it's cool what you guys are doing out there.
- 13:51SPEAKER_05: I mean, I'm a big believer, every group should have their spot.
- 13:54SPEAKER_05: I have Madison, I've done it 13 times right now, and it's fun.
- 14:00SPEAKER_05: But to go out, like you said, history-wise, like to step into trans Allegheny is just unbelievable.
- 14:05SPEAKER_05: Um, Ohio State Reformatory.
- 14:07SPEAKER_05: A lot of people ask why you do this, and it's not all about the paranormal, it's about the history, too.
- 14:12SPEAKER_05: Like we go out there, and if I wasn't doing this, I'd just be sitting at home doing a it gets you out and a little bit social, I guess, even though we just talk to dead people.
- 14:24SPEAKER_05: It's fine.
- 14:27SPEAKER_02: Sometimes we're the best people to talk to.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Agreed.
- 14:31SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're doing a a Black Friday um event over at the Garnett house.
- 14:36SPEAKER_02: It's gonna be advertised as blackout, right?
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: For Black Friday.
- 14:40SPEAKER_02: So the idea is we're not gonna have any lights, it's just gonna be dark the entire time.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: Which thankfully I've been in it half a dozen times, so I should remember the layout by heart, you know, by by now.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: So we'll see.
- 14:53SPEAKER_05: Do you believe in flashlights or no flashlights?
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: I mean, you gotta have a little bit just to kind of get yourself set up, but then we do like to go dark.
- 15:03SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 15:05SPEAKER_05: I'm a no flashlight too.
- 15:06SPEAKER_05: I mean, yeah, safety-wise, like you don't want to be falling downstairs or hitting coffee tables or whatever.
- 15:13SPEAKER_05: But once you're settled, I I really do love sitting in the dark.
- 15:17SPEAKER_05: It's peaceful until something touches you, then it's not.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: Or you hear a nice little whisper right behind you, you're like, or your name called, it's great.
- 15:28SPEAKER_02: Right.
- 15:29SPEAKER_02: Can we talk about that?
- 15:31SPEAKER_02: How expensive places are.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: My gosh, we'd do so much more if they weren't much.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: I get it.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: Like, you gotta you gotta pay for the building, you got bills to pay, right?
- 15:42SPEAKER_05: But I mean, that's the big thing right now.
- 15:44SPEAKER_05: The talk about is like, but majority of these owners, I've had a few on the show that what they get from us is what they put back in the building.
- 15:53SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 15:54SPEAKER_05: Um talking like old hospital on College Hill.
- 15:57SPEAKER_05: I mean, that place is old, that's the reason why it's called that.
- 16:00SPEAKER_05: But you know, they bought it just to keep the building from not being torn down, no desire for paranormal, and all of a sudden it's paranormal hotspot.
- 16:14SPEAKER_05: But you know, they don't live like kings, they they're not make they have to make a living, obviously, but a lot of that money goes back in.
- 16:21SPEAKER_05: But nowadays it's becoming a business.
- 16:25SPEAKER_03: Yep.
- 16:27SPEAKER_05: You don't you have people buying stuff that really don't care about the paranormal that just want the business.
- 16:34SPEAKER_05: So are you guys seeing that out there more?
- 16:36SPEAKER_02: Like, yeah, I don't think I have seen anything particular.
- 16:40SPEAKER_02: I've heard of different places, but I don't think we've ever experienced it firsthand.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: Well, we won't name the place, but I remember what you told me about the gentleman that you called, and I think it was on his website.
- 16:52SPEAKER_01: It's like, oh yeah, we're just you know, make a donation, and then you make an offer, and you they're like, No, that's not enough, you know.
- 16:59SPEAKER_01: I'm like, okay, well, just set a price then, okay.
- 17:02SPEAKER_01: I forgot about that one.
- 17:03SPEAKER_02: That one was like, Yeah, we just take donation.
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: Well, here's a donation because I've never been, I don't know, whatever.
- 17:09SPEAKER_02: And he's like, That's a really small donation.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: I'm like, well, then forget you.
- 17:15SPEAKER_05: Donation's a donation, like exactly.
- 17:18SPEAKER_02: Do you want it or not?
- 17:19SPEAKER_02: Because we might continue to come back, continue to donate.
- 17:24SPEAKER_01: We honestly work with amazing, amazing owners.
- 17:27SPEAKER_01: Justin's amazing.
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: Um, Stephanie at McIntyre Villa, Tori at Sleeper.
- 17:33SPEAKER_01: I mean, these folks are for real.
- 17:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they are.
- 17:37SPEAKER_01: They're top-notch.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: Like we could talk about them all night, and it would be good.
- 17:42SPEAKER_05: No, the owners of these places are amazing.
- 17:45SPEAKER_05: I mean, it's to me, I always tell them if it wasn't for you, we wouldn't be doing this.
- 17:49SPEAKER_05: I mean, we'd be going to some graveyards and doing this.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: But we do that too.
- 17:55SPEAKER_05: We'll talk about graveyards in a second.
- 17:57SPEAKER_05: But but they always come back and say, well, if it wasn't for you, then we wouldn't be able to do this too.
- 18:04SPEAKER_05: So it goes vice versa.
- 18:05SPEAKER_03: Definitely.
- 18:06SPEAKER_05: All right, let's talk about graveyards then.
- 18:10SPEAKER_05: I'm not a big believer graveyards are haunted.
- 18:14SPEAKER_05: Chris is giving the mean eye here.
- 18:16SPEAKER_01: Oh no.
- 18:19SPEAKER_01: Come to Topeka, we'll take you.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: You will change your mind like that.
- 18:23SPEAKER_05: That's what everybody says.
- 18:24SPEAKER_05: Like, I'll prove it to you.
- 18:25SPEAKER_05: But this is my theory.
- 18:27SPEAKER_05: If I died, I'm not hanging out of the graveyard.
- 18:30SPEAKER_02: Well, who says they're hanging out and they're not just like they don't have some way to just pop in, you know.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: Who's not to say they just like come in and come out?
- 18:41SPEAKER_05: What are they coming to see?
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: Uh I guess.
- 18:45SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 18:47SPEAKER_02: That's the beautiful part.
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: We don't know.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, they know where they're buried.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: They know where they're buried.
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: I think they I think the spirit world has, you know, a pulse on you know, things that's connected to them.
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: I mean, we we did a whole event at the Topeka Cemetery um here where we were with this other lady.
- 19:09SPEAKER_01: I don't I don't want to uh drop names, but she was, you know, trying to find certain Civil War soldiers.
- 19:16SPEAKER_01: And so we visited one time for that.
- 19:18SPEAKER_01: And then um Ghost Light Paranormal ended up having an event on the same night that we were returning to the pet cemetery because the owner was like, Look, we don't let our employees go down there alone.
- 19:28SPEAKER_01: They're constantly hearing growls, they're constantly seeing shadow figures, and that is another place that was just believe it or it was popping.
- 19:37SPEAKER_01: I mean, it was amazing.
- 19:41SPEAKER_02: I mean, you set your deadbell out in the middle of the you know, an open area where there's no power lines, there's nothing that you know could possibly trigger it, and it's just going nuts.
- 19:54SPEAKER_02: Like it just doesn't make sense, you know.
- 19:56SPEAKER_02: So there's gotta be something.
- 19:58SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean the more I do this, the more I think.
- 20:02SPEAKER_05: Yes, I believe stuff is attached to certain places or connected.
- 20:07SPEAKER_05: I won't say connected to certain places or certain certain things, but I also believe that if you ask people are going to ask enough questions, spirits are gonna come because they want to be her too.
- 20:22SPEAKER_05: Definitely I mean that is possible that's a that's possible with cemeteries too.
- 20:26SPEAKER_05: People are going there asking questions, and it's their time to give some answers.
- 20:32SPEAKER_05: Like I want to be her too.
- 20:34SPEAKER_01: Well, and our other person, Mindy, she was um a paramedic, and I think that there are I think she has company, a lot of company all the time.
- 20:46SPEAKER_05: Like like spirits, like like attachments, or just spirits are like hey, I'm here.
- 20:51SPEAKER_01: I don't know if I would want to call them attachments, but one of the undisclosed locations that we went to, there were some spirits that came through that had been her patients on ambulance runs that had passed away.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: And there was a lot of really specific information that came along with it.
- 21:09SPEAKER_01: Um I think I can say all that right.
- 21:13SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 21:13SPEAKER_05: So no, I mean that's that's cool.
- 21:16SPEAKER_05: I mean, hopefully they're coming back and like thanking her for what she did.
- 21:22SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's almost like, do you think I just had this thought?
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: What if we hear about portals, right?
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: Usually you hear them out in like places, like, oh, in this particular room there's there's a portal.
- 21:38SPEAKER_02: What if when maybe not every time, but what if when you're investigating, sometimes you're opening up kind of your own portal that has some some sort of connection to the other side, to another dimension.
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: You know what I mean?
- 21:53SPEAKER_02: Like when you're opening yourself up, am I just talking crazy?
- 21:56SPEAKER_05: I don't know, it's just that you're making me sink now.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: What if you open that up and then that allows, you know, maybe spirits that aren't necessarily in the cemetery, but it's like they're wherever they are, and they just they see this humongous, I don't know, they see this humongous hole that they're just like, hmm, wonder what's going on in here.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: Oh, they're talking to us.
- 22:21SPEAKER_02: Hey guys, come over here.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: They're talking to us over here, they can hear us, you know.
- 22:25SPEAKER_02: Like, what if that's what's happening?
- 22:27SPEAKER_05: Like a portal attachment to yourself.
- 22:30SPEAKER_02: Uh yeah, I wouldn't really call it attachment though, either.
- 22:32SPEAKER_02: Just like you're just you're opening up that communication, and so it's like opening up something on the other side that allows spirit, gives spirit some sort of like notification.
- 22:44SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 22:45SPEAKER_02: I say notification, like they're giving a ring on their phone or something, but yeah, I don't know.
- 22:50SPEAKER_05: No, I mean, I mean it's totally possible because and I but I'm a big believer that if you ask enough questions, you can make anybody haunted.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, for sure.
- 23:01SPEAKER_05: Yeah, you just sit there and ask questions.
- 23:03SPEAKER_05: Hey, why are you doing you know?
- 23:04SPEAKER_05: I believe spirits will come because they want to be heard.
- 23:08SPEAKER_05: That's that's my theory.
- 23:10SPEAKER_05: We we will never know, but I don't want to try that by house, but they've had plenty.
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: I forget what that I wish I my my memory, it's like their little bits and pieces, but the exact names, right?
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: So they did that experiment years ago where they like created a haunting, right?
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: I I 100% think that is you could do that.
- 23:31SPEAKER_02: Your mind is so powerful, you can create crazy stuff without even really knowing, you know.
- 23:39SPEAKER_05: All right, I'm gonna bring up these two words and see what's your thoughts of it.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Ley lines makes me think of Ghostbusters.
- 23:50SPEAKER_05: Yay or nay.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 23:54SPEAKER_02: I don't know if I've given that much thought.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: I haven't.
- 23:58SPEAKER_05: Wow.
- 23:58SPEAKER_05: Two paranormal investigators.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: Hey, we can't know everything, right?
- 24:06SPEAKER_02: Okay, we gotta learn some stuff too.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: So teach, teach us.
- 24:11SPEAKER_05: Biggest hoax, I believe there is in the paranormal world.
- 24:14SPEAKER_05: Okay, that's my theory on it.
- 24:17SPEAKER_05: Spirits jumping on a train and trap.
- 24:21SPEAKER_05: Like what what I picture is like finding Nemo.
- 24:24SPEAKER_05: You know, when they jump into the top, whatever you call it with all the turtles, yeah.
- 24:30SPEAKER_05: That's that's what I picture ley lines as like, hey, come on, okay, sweet.
- 24:35SPEAKER_05: The current.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: No, we'll leave them in Ghostbusters.
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: Do you guys plan on going bigger as a group, or um, probably not too big.
- 24:49SPEAKER_02: We do like the smaller, intimate, more intimate settings, group sizes.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: We do have so how this kind of all started was I in my department that I was in, I got tired of asking the same girls over and over again.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: And I'm sure they were tired of me asking all the time, come on, let's go ghost hunting.
- 25:11SPEAKER_02: You're like, oh, other god, here she goes again, right?
- 25:15SPEAKER_02: So we have these groups at our job that's called ERGs or employee-run groups.
- 25:21SPEAKER_02: You can create them.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: We have like a little chat, and I'm like, I bet you there's more spooky people in our group of you know, 900 plus employees.
- 25:33SPEAKER_02: It's just not a conversation that you just randomly bring up.
- 25:36SPEAKER_02: Hey, you like ghosts?
- 25:37SPEAKER_02: And they're like, No.
- 25:41SPEAKER_02: So I created this group called That's the Spirit and started gathering people in.
- 25:48SPEAKER_02: And so we use that group to um have like bigger investigations.
- 25:55SPEAKER_02: I usually do a couple of events, a couple of events um per year with that group that we then attend and kind of help navigate because a lot of them, you know, we have a lot of regulars that are that have come since I've started it, but they're every now and then we'll have some new people that have never ghost hunted before.
- 26:11SPEAKER_02: So we kind of help lead them.
- 26:13SPEAKER_02: And those are usually like you know, 10 to 15 people.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: Um, and so those are kind of uh our our bigger groups, so we like to keep this one um more on the small side.
- 26:25SPEAKER_05: That's fine.
- 26:27SPEAKER_05: Do you guys collaborate a lot with other groups then or yeah, yeah.
- 26:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we've we've been doing quite a bit and um are actually going to pair up with a couple new people uh next year.
- 26:42SPEAKER_02: Hope to be more too.
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: We met ICT Paranormal at our latest investigation over at Beatty Mansion, and we're hoping to connect with them again in February um at the Brown Mansion.
- 26:54SPEAKER_02: So hopefully that ends up working out.
- 26:56SPEAKER_02: We're still in works with that, but then Ashmore uh we're getting together with uh Patriot Paranormal.
- 27:02SPEAKER_02: So we've never investigated with them before, so it's pretty exciting.
- 27:05SPEAKER_05: So my group's seven people, it's been hard to try to find.
- 27:08SPEAKER_05: I like doing this.
- 27:10SPEAKER_05: My kids are older, um, so it's easier for me to get away, not so much for them.
- 27:18SPEAKER_05: So I kind of just started collaborating with a whole bunch of people.
- 27:21SPEAKER_05: I mean, it's it's been great.
- 27:22SPEAKER_05: I never really thought because let's be honest, there's some I don't want to say weird, there's some weird people out in the paranormal field.
- 27:29SPEAKER_05: I mean, you you do have to be careful, just like life.
- 27:33SPEAKER_05: You're gonna go into an undisclosed, dark location, people you never met before, right?
- 27:40SPEAKER_05: So, I mean, you gotta be careful what you do, but luckily, the groups I've had work with have been great.
- 27:48SPEAKER_05: So I actually enjoy collaborating.
- 27:51SPEAKER_05: A lot of stuff I do now is by myself.
- 27:54SPEAKER_05: So, equipment-wise, what's your go-to?
- 27:56SPEAKER_05: Like, what do you guys like using?
- 28:00SPEAKER_02: Uh well, I've always loved our deadbell, and I really like our tripwire.
- 28:06SPEAKER_02: Tripwire.
- 28:07SPEAKER_05: Two famous things now.
- 28:09SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it I remember seeing God, who used it first?
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: I think I saw twin paranormal video, maybe or something like that on YouTube, and um saw the deadbell.
- 28:21SPEAKER_02: I was like, I need that right away.
- 28:24SPEAKER_02: I was like, that is so cool, and I think the spirits love it too.
- 28:27SPEAKER_02: We get so much interaction on that and a lot of intelligence stuff, too.
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: It's a lot of fun, and just the triple air is just great too.
- 28:34SPEAKER_05: Yeah, someone just posted something about the deadbell today.
- 28:36SPEAKER_05: You know, you believe it or don't believe in it.
- 28:38SPEAKER_05: A lot of people don't.
- 28:39SPEAKER_05: It is very sensitive.
- 28:41SPEAKER_05: I know that much.
- 28:42SPEAKER_05: You do have to be very careful.
- 28:45SPEAKER_05: If you're like 10 feet away and you're on live Facebook, it will set it off.
- 28:51SPEAKER_05: So just people that not you, I'm talking to everybody out there.
- 28:55SPEAKER_05: Yeah, oh I'll just be careful.
- 28:58SPEAKER_05: But just like anything you use, it's always good to have two pieces of equipment to verify what you're doing, different types of equipment, like motion sensor, EVP, Deadbill.
- 29:08SPEAKER_02: How do you feel about the ovulus?
- 29:10SPEAKER_02: Ugh.
- 29:13SPEAKER_05: I have a periscript, I think it was outrageously expensive.
- 29:17SPEAKER_05: Not outrageous, it was expensive.
- 29:18SPEAKER_05: I've used it twice, not had it for like a year.
- 29:22SPEAKER_05: So obvious, same concept.
- 29:24SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I can't.
- 29:26SPEAKER_05: I think all the like those tools, apps, and everything, they're good starters.
- 29:31SPEAKER_05: Again, I think you have to have something else to back it up personally.
- 29:35SPEAKER_05: What what are people using now?
- 29:36SPEAKER_05: The necrophiliac or whatever it's it called?
- 29:40SPEAKER_02: Necrometer, yeah.
- 29:42SPEAKER_05: Necrophilia, that's a bad word.
- 29:43SPEAKER_05: I don't know.
- 29:45SPEAKER_02: Which we like that one a lot more than spirit talker.
- 29:49SPEAKER_02: I feel like spirit talker we've used, you know, we used at first because it was free, and then it just it would some things that would come through would make sense to what like we were talking about, and then other things uh we're just like whatever, you know.
- 30:03SPEAKER_02: I'm I live in the forest.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: I'm like, there is no forest.
- 30:07SPEAKER_05: I mean, but you can spin here, but you can spin anything, right?
- 30:11SPEAKER_05: Because like people are talking, like, what's your name?
- 30:13SPEAKER_05: It goes outside.
- 30:14SPEAKER_05: Oh, you outside?
- 30:15SPEAKER_05: Like, no, it's just spinning words out, but I think it's a good starter conversation.
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: Yes, yeah, that is one thing that I do like because sometimes it's hard to think of things to ask, things to say, whatever.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: So that can help think of you know, help you think of things to bring up conversation, which then can in turn make other things happen.
- 30:33SPEAKER_02: You know, if you've got other equipment around, it can make that active, you know.
- 30:37SPEAKER_05: Um, cat balls.
- 30:39SPEAKER_05: I mean, you gotta love cat balls.
- 30:41SPEAKER_05: You have to.
- 30:42SPEAKER_02: Yep.
- 30:43SPEAKER_05: They're the simplest thing besides a digital recorder that you're gonna have.
- 30:47SPEAKER_01: Cheap, flashlights, flashlights.
- 30:51SPEAKER_05: No, I don't know.
- 30:52SPEAKER_05: Oh, you're talking like the flashlight.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: Mag lights.
- 30:55SPEAKER_05: Mag lights, yeah.
- 30:56SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 30:56SPEAKER_05: I touch them out.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: I hate flashlights, but um we investigate in the dark around here, correct?
- 31:02SPEAKER_05: Yeah, we got bruises all over my shins.
- 31:07SPEAKER_05: Mag lights, I was a little iffy about.
- 31:08SPEAKER_05: I did a Shanley Hotel with Verona Ghost Chasers, and they did it, and I'm impressed with it.
- 31:14SPEAKER_05: So, do you think okay?
- 31:16SPEAKER_05: Well, ask this because this was brought up before.
- 31:18SPEAKER_05: Do you think the spirits turn them on like by turning them?
- 31:24SPEAKER_05: Or do you think they go in between the contact to turn that's what I think?
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Energy, yeah.
- 31:30SPEAKER_02: Definitely.
- 31:31SPEAKER_05: There's so many people I'm like, no, they're turning them.
- 31:33SPEAKER_05: I'm like, they're not turning them, like no, it's possible.
- 31:38SPEAKER_01: But I never seeing a flashlight, you have to be really strong to do that, yeah.
- 31:42SPEAKER_01: Yeah, not saying it's impossible, just saying they'd have to be something that would take a lot of energy.
- 31:48SPEAKER_02: Yes, I think more so than making contact.
- 31:51SPEAKER_05: Yes, and any any spirits out there are listening, just I'd rather you come up and smack me than turn a flashlight.
- 31:59SPEAKER_05: That's that's better for me.
- 32:01SPEAKER_05: So no, I mean May Lights are cool.
- 32:05SPEAKER_02: Um, we did a yeah, we love uh the Estes method too.
- 32:09SPEAKER_02: That's definitely one of my go-to's.
- 32:11SPEAKER_05: Do you have certain people you can trust with it and certain people you can't?
- 32:14SPEAKER_05: Not trust, but that's a bad word, but you know I mean spirit spirit box is hard to understand.
- 32:22SPEAKER_02: It is, yeah.
- 32:23SPEAKER_02: I don't think we've had really anybody that I can think of because you can tell when somebody gets in and they're like, I don't know what the hell they're saying, you know, they they'll get a few things and then, but I don't I don't think I've ever witnessed anybody doing it, and I'm like, oh, they're full of it.
- 32:40SPEAKER_02: That's they're just making things up, you know.
- 32:42SPEAKER_02: They're not the everybody that we've seen do it that's been in our either in that's the spirit or in our direct group or just in the little you know investigations we've paired with other teams on.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: I've seen people really, really try to listen and hone in on you know what they're hearing.
- 32:58SPEAKER_02: Where it gets tricky is when you start questioning yourself and what you heard.
- 33:02SPEAKER_02: So you just and if you're like it makes zero sense, you just say it.
- 33:07SPEAKER_05: Yeah, and that's what you I think that's what you gotta get over, is like when you're under it doesn't make sense to you, but it could make sense to the people asking the questions.
- 33:16SPEAKER_05: Absolutely, because it's like like I don't want to say that sounds stupid, you know.
- 33:23SPEAKER_05: I've said it, and then you hear them laughing, like, oh my god, like oh my I don't know what just happened because I'm just talking, but no, SS method is I think spirit box and essence method are like the go-to when stuff's not happening.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: Yeah, kind of gives them a uh way to communicate, like if they're maybe they're having trouble with you know the equipment that you have out or whatever it may be, or don't have enough energy, but have enough energy to go over and say something to you.
- 33:55SPEAKER_01: Honestly, I like SS even when things are popping, just because it's the one way that you could really drill down information when things are really happening.
- 34:06SPEAKER_01: And with equipment, it's great.
- 34:10SPEAKER_01: Like, hey, you know, if you can understand me, you know, can you set that off?
- 34:15SPEAKER_01: Can you do it again?
- 34:16SPEAKER_01: See if it's intelligent, see if it's on command and if they're willing.
- 34:20SPEAKER_01: But with Estes, you can really drill down into a conversation and go so much further than just hey, confirming yeah, there's a spirit here.
- 34:27SPEAKER_05: Have you have you guys ever done double estes method?
- 34:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was really cool, actually.
- 34:34SPEAKER_02: There's uh I was just um going down memory lane with some videos that we posted on our YouTube um from our we did a hey dual investigation event between Sleeper Mortuary and the McIntyre Villa.
- 34:52SPEAKER_02: Mindy and I, we were at the villa um with Fright Knight, and we were Mindy and I were back to back doing Estes, and it was fun to listen to us kind of play off one another, and you know, even people that were sitting watching were catching on, they're like, Oh my god, they're like finishing each other's sentences, and then she might say something that's in connection here.
- 35:12SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, that's that's a lot of fun and very interesting to compare.
- 35:16SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean we had three doubles that night, so Mindy and Heather, and then the two guys from Fright Night, and then Stephanie and Tori, the two owners of each location.
- 35:27SPEAKER_01: So that was fun.
- 35:29SPEAKER_05: Have you guys like split up in different rooms and done double Estes?
- 35:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, I think so, haven't we?
- 35:34SPEAKER_02: Which at Garnet.
- 35:36SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's right.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: You and I noticed too, Ryan.
- 35:39SPEAKER_02: I've really been trying to pay attention to when we do Estes asking questions.
- 35:47SPEAKER_02: Sometimes you won't get, or a lot of the time, you won't get an immediate answer.
- 35:51SPEAKER_02: It's five questions down the line that you're getting your answer, you know, or a few questions at least down the line, which always try to like ask a question, but then you know, you get you get into it and you don't necessarily leave the time in between to really get so I've even listening back to like our old videos and some you know recordings and stuff.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: I'm like, there's the answer, you know, right there.
- 36:15SPEAKER_02: It's really interesting.
- 36:18SPEAKER_05: Gotta like treat it like a EVP session.
- 36:21SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 36:22SPEAKER_05: You know, give that give that break.
- 36:24SPEAKER_05: And so we do medicine seminary a lot.
- 36:26SPEAKER_05: And when we go to Madison is when we take people that never done investigations before.
- 36:32SPEAKER_05: Um we have equipment, I've been doing this for years, so that's one of the things like they always want the EVPs.
- 36:37SPEAKER_05: EVPs are awesome, but you don't know about them until two weeks later.
- 36:42SPEAKER_02: Do you ever do anything to like amp up the energy a little bit?
- 36:45SPEAKER_02: I mean, we have dance parties sometimes, that's how there works.
- 36:51SPEAKER_05: That would scare everything away.
- 36:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, it's like I am not dancing.
- 36:56SPEAKER_05: That's Nacho's uh thing.
- 36:59SPEAKER_02: I'm not dancing.
- 37:00SPEAKER_02: I'm not dancing.
- 37:01SPEAKER_02: Come on.
- 37:05SPEAKER_02: We stuck Mindy at the basement of the McIntyre Villa on a live for what did we do, Chris?
- 37:11SPEAKER_02: I think it was 30.
- 37:13SPEAKER_02: 30 to 32 an hour somewhere in there, and she was handcuffed and on a live, and all she had was a little um elect or uh battery operated candle for the light.
- 37:23SPEAKER_02: She we were nice, she had she had the live to talk to, you know, so she was had a little company, but yeah, it was very uncomfortable for her, but she crushed it.
- 37:32SPEAKER_05: I was told that about solos is if you do a live, you don't feel solo.
- 37:38SPEAKER_01: That's true.
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: That's true.
- 37:41SPEAKER_01: Do you feel like now that you've been doing this longer, though?
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, if I can't say that I can't get uncomfortable, sure things can happen, but I don't know.
- 37:50SPEAKER_01: I it it would take a lot more now to make me feel like oh, like I'm scared, or it it's not like it was in the beginning.
- 37:58SPEAKER_05: No, I mean I I I think you still get that feeling when you walk into a room and it feels heavy.
- 38:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, for sure.
- 38:05SPEAKER_01: But just to be scared or to be if we get told run, like no.
- 38:11SPEAKER_05: No, I don't.
- 38:12SPEAKER_05: I'm hoping I get that feeling again of like fear, always a little fear sometimes, but I've done I'm a solo basement freak.
- 38:22SPEAKER_05: I love it.
- 38:23SPEAKER_05: I mean, I was in the Ross house doing a solo, and a shadow walked by me, and I was like, Yeah, a shadow just walked by me.
- 38:29SPEAKER_05: Like, I didn't care, like a shadow walked by me, sweet.
- 38:32SPEAKER_05: Of course, the camera's on my ugly mug and not pointed over there where the shadow was.
- 38:37SPEAKER_02: Go figure.
- 38:38SPEAKER_02: Always okay.
- 38:40SPEAKER_05: But you know, yeah, we talked about this before another podcast, like 20 years in now.
- 38:46SPEAKER_05: What's it gonna take to like for you to be like take a step back and say, Wow, that was kind of freaky, you know?
- 38:52SPEAKER_05: I don't want to do this anymore.
- 38:54SPEAKER_05: Have you guys ever had an experience starting out that you maybe like uh maybe I got myself into a little too deep?
- 39:04SPEAKER_02: Not yet.
- 39:06SPEAKER_02: No, if anything, it might I mean thinking back to my very first investigation at the McIntyre Villa back in 2020, I was terrified, I knew nothing, didn't help to that I was with a bunch of other girls that had never done it either.
- 39:22SPEAKER_02: So, but then all that did was make me more curious.
- 39:26SPEAKER_02: It wasn't like, oh my god, I'm never doing that again.
- 39:28SPEAKER_02: It was when are we going back?
- 39:30SPEAKER_05: We should go back.
- 39:35SPEAKER_05: No, I mean that's I think the more you get into it, the more comfortable you're gonna get.
- 39:40SPEAKER_05: But I do believe fear does draw out spirits too.
- 39:43SPEAKER_02: So 100%.
- 39:45SPEAKER_05: I think you need that balance.
- 39:48SPEAKER_05: Um you just bring bait.
- 39:54SPEAKER_02: Bring bait, somebody that's uh that's a little bit more more jumpy, yeah.
- 39:58SPEAKER_02: Like Belle.
- 39:59SPEAKER_02: Or we love you, ladies.
- 40:05SPEAKER_04: Let's talk about paranormal hangovers, real or not real.
- 40:09SPEAKER_02: Very real.
- 40:10SPEAKER_02: It's real.
- 40:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 40:12SPEAKER_02: Not only are you like staying up all night and you're sleeping like crap, you know, so then you're tired anyways, but I feel like you exert a lot of energy just being there sometimes at particular locations where you can feel groggy as well for the next you know, two, three days.
- 40:29SPEAKER_05: You think it's just more mentally drained?
- 40:31SPEAKER_02: Both, yeah.
- 40:32SPEAKER_01: Mental, physical.
- 40:34SPEAKER_04: Mm-hmm.
- 40:35SPEAKER_04: Kind of depends.
- 40:37SPEAKER_05: Because I mean, I don't get too much, but I know a lot of people do.
- 40:40SPEAKER_05: You you can get mentally effed up on some of these places.
- 40:44SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: But yeah, for me personally, I don't think I've ever been kind of like down and out longer than maybe a day, day and a half-ish.
- 40:52SPEAKER_02: I kind of have groggy brain maybe for the next couple days or so, but I'm usually I usually b bounce back pretty quick, but it's and it's just mainly it depends on where you're sleeping and stuff too, really can really take a toll on your body, especially getting a little getting a little older.
- 41:10SPEAKER_01: And you're not even there yet, girl.
- 41:14SPEAKER_05: What's up, what's up, Texas?
- 41:16SPEAKER_05: Um, yeah, I don't sleep much.
- 41:19SPEAKER_02: I do.
- 41:19SPEAKER_02: I I've been known, I feel like, out of the group to um like the sleep uh sleeper, I don't know what these times ago that we went.
- 41:28SPEAKER_02: I we went to bed at like four or five, and then I woke up at like seven, and I thought I heard a woman whisper, and I was like, my ears just perked up, I was wide awake again, and I'm out there investigating, you know, by myself while everybody else is snoozing.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: I'm usually the first one up when it comes to those type, you know.
- 41:47SPEAKER_02: So I I don't normally sleep very much while we're there, but then get me home and I'm on the couch and I'm out.
- 41:56SPEAKER_01: So I can think of one time I've woken up and you were asleep every other time.
- 42:01SPEAKER_01: You're always awake.
- 42:04SPEAKER_05: I I never sleep at places ever.
- 42:07SPEAKER_05: I mean, it could be three hours away.
- 42:10SPEAKER_01: That's part of the experience, though, really.
- 42:12SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I've never been scratched, I've never been pushed.
- 42:16SPEAKER_05: I mean, it says they want to, I don't want to be scratched or pushed, but if it happens, it happens too.
- 42:23SPEAKER_02: You know, speaking of scratches, I heard a very interesting um theory on scratches that they're not bad.
- 42:30SPEAKER_05: I I heard that the other day.
- 42:32SPEAKER_05: What what was about that?
- 42:34SPEAKER_05: I didn't I don't remember.
- 42:36SPEAKER_02: Just a it's just a way that they're trying to communicate with you and showing you that they're there.
- 42:43SPEAKER_02: Just another even pushing.
- 42:45SPEAKER_02: I mean, like sometimes just like with people, right?
- 42:48SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's they were people, so you can push somebody because you're being mean and trying to, you know, whatever, but maybe that's that's just them, that's how they can communicate.
- 43:00SPEAKER_02: That's the only way they know how, you know.
- 43:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, maybe they don't mean to hurt you, it's just the only way they know, you know, or maybe that takes a lot of energy to really show you that, like, hey, I'm right here, like, because it gets your attention instantly, right?
- 43:15SPEAKER_02: You're like, dang, like that hurt, you know, and then you know, yeah.
- 43:19SPEAKER_05: Why is there always three scratches?
- 43:21SPEAKER_02: It's not always I've seen one where it's or I've seen somewhere it's just one, yeah.
- 43:26SPEAKER_02: One little scratch across the back of the neck or the arm, or now so three scratches might be something a little weird, but not I don't think scratches are always weird, you know, or bad.
- 43:41SPEAKER_05: Especially when you get into like not to me, because I'm a bigger guy, but like a mom, a female, like kids.
- 43:50SPEAKER_05: You know, they want your attention.
- 43:53SPEAKER_05: Kids stay away from me because I'm a bigger dude, and but like you're inviting so.
- 44:00SPEAKER_05: So kid spirits, if you believe in kid spirits, that's a theory out there too.
- 44:05SPEAKER_05: Like tugging your shirt or maybe like scratching or yep.
- 44:10SPEAKER_05: Whatever.
- 44:11SPEAKER_05: So, what do you think about kid spirits?
- 44:13SPEAKER_05: I mean, a lot of theories out there, a lot of people believe there's no such thing as kid spirits.
- 44:18SPEAKER_05: It's always something else portraying itself as a kid.
- 44:22SPEAKER_05: I don't think people don't want to believe kids can be trapped here.
- 44:26SPEAKER_05: Not trapped.
- 44:27SPEAKER_05: I mean, that's my name, but you know, stuck in in between.
- 44:31SPEAKER_05: Because it's sad.
- 44:33SPEAKER_02: Well, it's not always intelligent, too.
- 44:35SPEAKER_02: I mean, you can get residual sounds, you know.
- 44:39SPEAKER_02: I mean, I think we did at Garnett one time we left that's exactly what I was thinking of.
- 44:45SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we left our recorder up there, and as we go over every month and help uh Justin keep the place clean, and so do we do a little investigating while we're there, and we popped out for a second and left the recorder and came back, listened to it later, and it sounds like children playing.
- 45:02SPEAKER_02: Mind you, it was like 20 degrees outside, it was cold.
- 45:06SPEAKER_02: It's but it sounded like a whole schoolyard of kids playing.
- 45:11SPEAKER_02: That there's there was nobody outside when we got there, like no indication that children were anywhere near the building, and you can hear it plain as day.
- 45:22SPEAKER_05: Chris I was over down there thinking, like it is something that I think about all the time.
- 45:28SPEAKER_01: I have my belief system, and um I can understand why people don't want to believe that there are earth, you know, connected children spirits.
- 45:42SPEAKER_01: And I compare it with like the other parts of my belief system, and that's the thing, is I I think when I started doing this, I'm like, man, I really want to get some of those answers.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: And um, because people be like, Why are you why all of a sudden are you doing this?
- 45:55SPEAKER_01: And I'm like, I've always been interested.
- 45:57SPEAKER_01: I and I just want to find some answers.
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: But then when you do this, you just end up with more and more questions.
- 46:02SPEAKER_01: So I honestly don't know how I feel about it.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: Do I I want to think that um like these younger-minded spirits are attached to the earth because you think of kids and you think, okay, well, they're it's not their choice then, like and do I believe that either?
- 46:23SPEAKER_01: Not really.
- 46:25SPEAKER_01: So I don't know.
- 46:28SPEAKER_05: It's it's hard, I mean, because you're hoping that they're not here, you know, that they moved on.
- 46:35SPEAKER_05: I mean, is it possible a kid's looking for its mom?
- 46:38SPEAKER_05: You know, right.
- 46:41SPEAKER_05: I mean, spirit world, how much do you think is residual compared to intelligent?
- 46:45SPEAKER_05: Like percentage-wise, I mean just throw a number out there from your experience.
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: 30 percent is residual.
- 46:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I'd have to agree.
- 46:57SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I mean, I think it depends where you go.
- 47:00SPEAKER_05: Like Gettysburg, I think a lot of it's residual.
- 47:02SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah.
- 47:03SPEAKER_05: What beliefs do you have for like protection going into a place?
- 47:08SPEAKER_05: Do you have anything?
- 47:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, we I mean I think like spiritually, we're probably all a little bit different, but one of the things that we do when we go into a place now is we meditate together.
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: Um, and it kind of depends on what the location is and what kind of space we're gonna have, who are we with?
- 47:28SPEAKER_01: You know, it might be just five minutes if we can fit that in, or it might be, you know, 25 minutes.
- 47:34SPEAKER_01: But we use that time to set our intentions and to center ourselves and you know, open ourselves up to where we want to be.
- 47:43SPEAKER_01: But I I think a lot of the protection is in intentions and what you'll allow.
- 47:50SPEAKER_05: Absolutely.
- 47:52SPEAKER_05: And in fact, I've never seen a Conregor movie.
- 47:57SPEAKER_05: I am the abnormal, paranormal investigator.
- 48:02SPEAKER_01: I I'm really in the middle.
- 48:04SPEAKER_01: Um, Heather definitely takes the cake for creepy, and not just our group, but most groups, I think.
- 48:11SPEAKER_01: Um she's amazing for it.
- 48:14SPEAKER_01: Um, but I'm more in the middle.
- 48:17SPEAKER_01: I do like some scary movies, but and I like Halloween.
- 48:23SPEAKER_01: But she definitely goes deep.
- 48:25SPEAKER_01: She runs, you know, the ERG at work.
- 48:27SPEAKER_01: She posts something fascinating every day, and she has no problem finding the material, I think, just because of how her mind works.
- 48:35SPEAKER_02: Talk about murders on Monday, um, trivia, crazy trivia on Tuesdays, uh, WTF Wednesdays, where I give some crazy fact that makes people say, WTF.
- 48:47SPEAKER_02: Where did you find that?
- 48:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 48:51SPEAKER_02: We tried a little experiment actually in the Garnett house where we watched um The Conjuring.
- 48:56SPEAKER_02: Uh, we have a projector and hung up a sheet and watched the movie because I was like, I wonder what like because they do like an exorcism in the movie.
- 49:04SPEAKER_02: I was like, I wonder what that would would it stir anything up.
- 49:09SPEAKER_01: We watched White Chicks first.
- 49:11SPEAKER_02: We did.
- 49:16SPEAKER_05: Um it's interesting.
- 49:19SPEAKER_05: Spears are probably like, what are they doing?
- 49:21SPEAKER_02: Like these crazy girls.
- 49:24SPEAKER_05: It's not how it is.
- 49:28SPEAKER_02: Great, they're back.
- 49:29SPEAKER_02: That's how I feel like every time we walk in that door, they're like, now they're back.
- 49:33SPEAKER_02: All right, I guess we gotta go talk to them.
- 49:36SPEAKER_05: My favorite freak is, I guess, horror.
- 49:38SPEAKER_05: I don't know, call it a horror movie where people under their stairs.
- 49:42SPEAKER_05: I don't know why.
- 49:44SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but that might have been like the last semi-horror movie, and that was like in the 80s I watched.
- 49:52SPEAKER_02: Well, there's been some good ones since then, too.
- 49:56SPEAKER_05: Um yeah, it's hard because I I love true crime, and if it's not 100% you know true, I don't like watching stuff.
- 50:04SPEAKER_05: So same with reading books.
- 50:07SPEAKER_01: All right, well, fair enough.
- 50:09SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I'm weird.
- 50:11SPEAKER_05: It's okay.
- 50:13SPEAKER_02: We all are, the best people are.
- 50:17SPEAKER_05: Well we'll answer Aurora Brothel's question.
- 50:21SPEAKER_05: Um, what's your favorite equipment?
- 50:22SPEAKER_05: We went over this, but you can say it again since you're going out there.
- 50:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Heather loves the dead bell.
- 50:31SPEAKER_00: She was that your first piece, Heather.
- 50:35SPEAKER_02: Uh no, my first one was the SB7.
- 50:40SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 50:41SPEAKER_02: Spear box.
- 50:42SPEAKER_02: But the the bell is definitely a hit, and then of course the tripwires love tripwires.
- 50:46SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 50:47SPEAKER_01: And I really like all the simple equipment the best, but as far as the expensive stuff goes, the tripwires, yeah, a hundred percent.
- 50:56SPEAKER_05: Dowsing rods.
- 50:58SPEAKER_02: Yes.
- 50:59SPEAKER_02: Chrissa does love the dowsing rods, she's very good at that.
- 51:01SPEAKER_02: I feel like you kind of find your niche with you know, certain, and those are definitely hers.
- 51:07unknown: Yeah.
- 51:08SPEAKER_05: Definitely.
- 51:08SPEAKER_05: I want to get back into them.
- 51:09SPEAKER_05: I kind of went away from them because you start buying expensive equipment.
- 51:13SPEAKER_05: You're like, why am I doing dowsing rods?
- 51:15SPEAKER_05: I got this 400-piece equipment over here I want to use.
- 51:17SPEAKER_01: Well, oh, definitely.
- 51:18SPEAKER_01: At McIntyre Villa, too.
- 51:20SPEAKER_01: Um, they're so responsive there.
- 51:23SPEAKER_01: Like we were just in uh what we call Goldie's room.
- 51:27SPEAKER_01: That's the one piece of uh furniture that Stephanie had was the chair that Goldie died in in that house.
- 51:33SPEAKER_01: And um anyway, that chair is in that room, and we're sitting in a circle on the couches and using the dowsing rods and saying, hey, point to Heather.
- 51:40SPEAKER_01: It points to Heather, hey, you know, point to Belle, point to Sarah.
- 51:44SPEAKER_01: And I mean, it was just on point every time.
- 51:46SPEAKER_01: And it's so you know, it's uh kind of a two-way street, you know, for that to work, and they have to be willing, and you have to be in a good head spacepace for it, and yeah.
- 52:02SPEAKER_05: Well, we're gonna on this show here.
- 52:04SPEAKER_05: Um, first of all, I appreciate the girls coming on.
- 52:07SPEAKER_05: That was great.
- 52:08SPEAKER_01: I mean, thanks for having us.
- 52:09SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 52:10SPEAKER_01: Thanks for having us.
- 52:11SPEAKER_05: Get to know you a little bit about Kansas a little bit.
- 52:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, if you're ever in the area and want to hit up the villa or sleeper for that creepy basement, just let us know.
- 52:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 52:21SPEAKER_05: I mean, if I head that way, or you guys head halfway this way, we can try to get something going on there.
- 52:28SPEAKER_03: Definitely, definitely.
- 52:30SPEAKER_05: I'm gonna watch your stuff on a row of brothel coming up.
- 52:34SPEAKER_05: And your other I've watched a few of your videos.
- 52:36SPEAKER_05: I don't think keeping up with Facebook, social media is like a full-time job.
- 52:42SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, definitely.
- 52:45SPEAKER_05: I try to like everybody's stuff, but hey, thanks, Donna.
- 52:48SPEAKER_05: Always a pleasure having you on.
- 52:50SPEAKER_05: Um, ask a question next time.
- 52:56SPEAKER_05: She's always on she's like my go-to person.
- 53:02SPEAKER_05: I know she's always gonna be on.
- 53:04SPEAKER_03: So again, thanks for coming on.
- 53:10SPEAKER_05: It was a pleasure talking to you, and you know, I always say keep being you because you guys are doing all right, having fun.
- 53:18SPEAKER_05: That's what it's all about.
- 53:19SPEAKER_02: So absolutely, yeah.
- 53:21SPEAKER_05: Yeah, I tell everybody you guys have big events coming up, do whatever you want to come back on, even if it's for 20 minutes just to say, hey, this is what's going on, or this is what happened.
- 53:31SPEAKER_05: Just send me an email and get you back on.
- 53:36SPEAKER_02: Cool.
- 53:37SPEAKER_02: Thanks so much, Ryan.
- 53:39SPEAKER_05: Oh, thank you.
- 53:40SPEAKER_05: I appreciate it.
