- 0:15Speaker 2: Guess what today is? Tuesday. But what else is it?
- 0:20Speaker 3: The 22nd.
- 0:21Speaker 2: And? I don't know. Today, my friend, is the first
- 0:27Speaker 2: day of autumn. This is one of those days. Remember
- 0:34Speaker 2: last year?
- 0:35Speaker 4: I know where this is going.
- 0:36Speaker 2: Remember last year when it was fall and we did
- 0:39Speaker 2: Producer Blake's Fall Girl Week?
- 0:42Speaker 3: Yes, I knew exactly. Yeah, I can hear this in
- 0:45Speaker 3: my head when I sleep sometimes, and I don't.
- 0:47Speaker 2: We sent you to do a photo shoot at the
- 0:51Speaker 2: Botanical Gardens. What else did we do? I brought some flowers. Hey, barrels. Oh,
- 0:57Speaker 2: I'm sneezing already thinking about that. We brought in some
- 1:00Speaker 2: fake hay. I think we need to do that again.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:04Speaker 2: And you're going to wear yoga pants and Uggs.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:09Speaker 2: I'll be honest with you.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I don't think anybody wants to see that.
- 1:11Speaker 6: I do.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I don't want to see that. We all want to
- 1:13Speaker 2: see it.
- 1:14Speaker 4: No one does.
- 1:14Speaker 2: You just don't want to do it.
- 1:16Speaker 1: No.
- 1:17Speaker 4: If I wear yoga pants, it's going to be a
- 1:18Speaker 4: curse to this office. I can tell you that right now.
- 1:21Speaker 2: We're still doing it. Anyway, good morning. Good morning. Thanks
- 1:24Speaker 2: for being here. Call the show. What's your favorite thing
- 1:26Speaker 2: about fall? Hopefully it'll start to feel like fall at
- 1:29Speaker 2: some point and it'll stop being 90 degrees outside. 833-501-BAMA
- 1:34Speaker 2: is the number. Thanks for being here. It's what the
- 1:38Speaker 2: hell headlines. What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:41Speaker 1: On the Alabama show.
- 1:43Speaker 2: A woman thought she found a dirty hose in her car,
- 1:47Speaker 2: but it ended up being a giant snake.
- 1:52Speaker 3: One of them does not.
- 1:53Speaker 2: How do you get those confused? Oh, my God. A
- 1:55Speaker 2: Wisconsin woman found a giant snake in the hood of
- 1:57Speaker 2: one of her cars. She was able to get a
- 1:59Speaker 2: professional to come remove the snake from her car. This
- 2:02Speaker 2: is my worst nightmare. Listen to this.
- 2:04Speaker 7: When we opened the hood, he was laying right up here,
- 2:07Speaker 7: coiled up on top. We noticed that there was something
- 2:10Speaker 7: large sitting right up here on the engine. He thought
- 2:13Speaker 7: that it was a hose at first as well, but
- 2:15Speaker 7: once it turned around and started looking at us, it
- 2:18Speaker 7: was time to move away from the car. Basically, what
- 2:20Speaker 7: I did was I climbed up on the hood of
- 2:22Speaker 7: the car and just kept irritating the snake and tickling
- 2:25Speaker 7: it until.
- 2:25Speaker 2: It started moving.
- 2:26Speaker 1: What the hell? Super Easy Trivia with The Alabama Show.

- 2:57Speaker 1: Woody.
- 2:59Speaker 2: Woody is it?
- 3:00Speaker 3: Snake in my boot.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Let's go.
- 3:03Speaker 2: All right, next one. What movie has a talking snowman

- 4:51Speaker 6: Yes.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Drum roll. The color of the year for 2027 is celery. Celery?
- 4:56Speaker 4: Yeah. It's like celery or celery?
- 5:01Speaker 2: Celery. They describe it as soft and cheery yellow green.
- 5:05Speaker 2: They say it's a beautiful pastel green that sits between
- 5:08Speaker 2: a pastel and herb tone. It's a nude-tinted neutral that
- 5:12Speaker 2: can be paired with both cool and warmer tones, making
- 5:14Speaker 2: it versatile for your home.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Celery.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I'm going to get these celery-colored pillows over here and
- 5:22Speaker 2: add them to my brown couch. It's the new neutral.

- 5:28Speaker 4: I just bought them.
- 5:29Speaker 2: There we go. That's three things you need to know.
- 5:32Speaker 2: More at thealabamashow.com.
- 5:35Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand. Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I'm giving you a chance to make fun of me
- 5:40Speaker 2: on the show today.
- 5:41Speaker 4: I've been waiting. Let's do it.
- 5:43Speaker 2: By the way, thanks for listening to The Alabama Show.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I'm Alabama with producer Blake.
- 5:46Speaker 4: That's me.
- 5:47Speaker 2: I went to Target this weekend.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Going through the clearance aisle. Looking at clothes because I
- 5:53Speaker 2: was going out. I was going on a date and
- 5:54Speaker 2: I wanted to wear something nice.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Right.
- 5:56Speaker 3: Okay.
- 5:56Speaker 2: Found a shirt. I was like, oh, this is awesome.
- 5:59Speaker 2: I'm going to wear it on my date tonight. Yeah.
- 6:02Speaker 2: I buy the shirt.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I go.
- 6:04Speaker 2: I leave Target. I go home.
- 6:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Do all my things.
- 6:09Speaker 4: Okay.
- 6:11Speaker 2: I go to get the shirt out of the bag
- 6:13Speaker 2: and get dressed. And I brought the shirt in for
- 6:15Speaker 2: you to see what I did. Because I forgot. So
- 6:19Speaker 2: when I went to check out.
- 6:20Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I went through the self-checkout.
- 6:23Speaker 6: Okay.
- 6:23Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:26Speaker 4: I left the.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Freaking security tag on it.
- 6:28Speaker 6: Is this going to start like having somebody trick us?
- 6:32Speaker 4: What are you doing?
- 6:33Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:34Speaker 4: And it didn't ring when you left?
- 6:36Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 6:36Speaker 4: I kept going. I wasn't paying attention.
- 6:38Speaker 2: If it did, there were other people going out of
- 6:40Speaker 2: the door at the same time as I did when
- 6:42Speaker 2: the alarm went off. So it did go off. I
- 6:44Speaker 2: was like, that's not me.
- 6:45Speaker 4: You can't be.
- 6:46Speaker 6: How did you not notice it when you were doing
- 6:49Speaker 6: it on self-checkout?
- 6:50Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:51Speaker 4: I forgot. How did you know? How did you do that?
- 6:55Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 6:56Speaker 4: Mentally, that makes no sense. I know.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I tried to cut it off myself when I got
- 7:01Speaker 2: home and I couldn't do it. So now I think
- 7:04Speaker 2: I've damaged it. And I was going to go back
- 7:06Speaker 2: to Target today and say, hey, I forgot to take
- 7:09Speaker 2: this off. But now I think I've ruined it and
- 7:11Speaker 2: I can't get it off.
- 7:13Speaker 6: How do you get past and go I don't know
- 7:17Speaker 6: I'm just so confused this is it you're a problem
- 7:22Speaker 6: what do I do.
- 7:23Speaker 2: I can't even put it on it's the big red
- 7:26Speaker 2: security tag and it's right.
- 7:27Speaker 4: On the chest like how are you like that you can't.
- 7:30Speaker 2: Hide that I know I thought about that I was
- 7:32Speaker 2: like man if it were in another hidden spot I
- 7:34Speaker 2: could have wore the shirt anyway no it's right there
- 7:37Speaker 2: for the whole world to.
- 7:37Speaker 3: See You cause so many issues when you're just out
- 7:41Speaker 3: in public.
- 7:41Speaker 4: I don't know how you've.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Made it this far.
- 7:44Speaker 4: I don't know what to do.
- 7:44Speaker 2: I'm going to try to go to Target today and
- 7:46Speaker 2: see if they can get it off.
- 7:48Speaker 4: Don't click it when it sends the police.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Call the show. Do you work in retail? Is there
- 7:56Speaker 2: a hack I can do to get this off at
- 7:57Speaker 2: home and not have to take it to the store?
- 7:59Speaker 2: Or have you ever done? Have you not? You've never
- 8:01Speaker 2: done this before?
- 8:02Speaker 3: No, because I look at the stuff I buy, especially
- 8:05Speaker 3: at self-checkout.
- 8:06Speaker 2: I forgot.
- 8:07Speaker 4: It's self-checkout. You have it literally in your hands.
- 8:10Speaker 2: I wasn't paying attention.
- 8:12Speaker 4: How do you instant tag? I don't know. You are insane.
- 8:16Speaker 4: How do you miss that? That's the biggest part of it.
- 8:19Speaker 6: It's red and the thing is white it is noticeable
- 8:22Speaker 6: what do you mean you don't know i don't know
- 8:25Speaker 6: call the show 833-501-BAMA is the.

- 8:38Speaker 2: good morning have you ever left a security tag on
- 8:41Speaker 2: your clothes when you bought them at the store.
- 8:43Speaker 5: So I used to work at a retail store, Rude 21,
- 8:47Speaker 5: I don't know if you remember that.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I was a frequent flyer at Rude 21.
- 8:52Speaker 5: So we had tags on the more expensive items, and
- 8:56Speaker 5: I never personally have done it, but people came back
- 8:59Speaker 5: all the time with the tag on it. And we
- 9:03Speaker 5: couldn't take it off unless they proved that they bought
- 9:05Speaker 5: it with a receipt.
- 9:06Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. That was me. I did that.
- 9:09Speaker 5: Well, there's a secret way if you have a really
- 9:12Speaker 5: strong magnet. You can put it on the back of
- 9:16Speaker 5: the sensor, and it'll just come off.
- 9:19Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I needed you in my life this weekend. Okay. Just
- 9:23Speaker 2: get a magnet and put it on.
- 9:25Speaker 5: But it has to be like a heavy-duty magnet. It
- 9:27Speaker 5: can't just be like your everyday magnet.
- 9:29Speaker 2: All right. Not a refrigerator magnet. Well, thieves listening to
- 9:33Speaker 2: the show are everywhere, are super excited right now.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Well, don't put this on the air.
- 9:38Speaker 8: Okay.
- 9:39Speaker 5: My name is not Kelsey. I am not associated with Kelsey.
- 9:45Speaker 2: And I never worked at Route 21.
- 9:48Speaker 5: No, I never worked there. Not one time.
- 9:51Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand.
- 9:53Speaker 4: Amazing.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 9:56Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. Jacob, good morning.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Have you ever accidentally left a security tag on your clothes? Always.
- 10:05Speaker 2: I got three kids. Always distracted.
- 10:07Speaker 3: I have the perfect hack.
- 10:09Speaker 1: You just need a super powerful magnet.
- 10:12Speaker 2: How do you know this hack? I have three kids, and.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I'm always walking out of the store forgetting things.
- 10:19Speaker 2: You don't sound old enough to have three kids. Is
- 10:21Speaker 2: this your excuse? Are you stealing stuff from the stores?
- 10:24Speaker 1: No.
- 10:26Speaker 4: No, no, no, no.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I am old enough.
- 10:28Speaker 4: I'm 41.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Okay. Why don't you just take it back?
- 10:32Speaker 3: I'm a little embarrassed.
- 10:33Speaker 1: I always think they're going to think I stole it.
- 10:35Speaker 2: Okay. Where do you get a heavy-duty magnet from?
- 10:38Speaker 1: My fridge.
- 10:40Speaker 2: How many clothes have you left a security tag on?
- 10:43Speaker 8: Not many.
- 10:44Speaker 2: What stores are you going into? I think you're asking
- 10:48Speaker 2: a little too many questions.
- 10:49Speaker 4: I'm getting uncomfortable.
- 10:50Speaker 2: How expensive are the clothes that you're stealing from the
- 10:53Speaker 2: stores you're going into with these three kids?
- 10:55Speaker 4: I feel like I'm in an integration room all of
- 10:58Speaker 4: a sudden.
- 10:58Speaker 2: I'm really hot. Where you're getting distracted by your three
- 11:03Speaker 2: nieces and nephews that you conveniently take shopping with you.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I'm sure. I'm sure. Can we take a paternity test?
- 11:14Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I'm like, ooh.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Okay. We love you, Jacob. I'm going to hang up
- 11:20Speaker 2: and not incriminate you any further. All right.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Love you guys. It's three things you need to know
- 11:26Speaker 1: with the Alabama Show.
- 11:27Speaker 2: Any Vapor Thrift Store has opened in Trustville, opened by
- 11:31Speaker 2: Vapor Ministries, which is a Sylacauga-based nonprofit. They open this
- 11:35Speaker 2: thrift store all over Alabama. The new one is next
- 11:38Speaker 2: to Freddy's Frozen Custard and Steak Burgers right off Highway 11,
- 11:42Speaker 2: kind of behind Taziki's. Donation, drop-off, and pickup are available.
- 11:46Speaker 2: The proceeds go to outreach centers in Haiti, Kenya, Sierra Leone,
- 11:49Speaker 2: and Togo, which provide clean water, food, health services, and education.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Taylor Swift is going to get the first of its
- 11:56Speaker 2: kind award at the MTV VMA. She's going to get
- 11:59Speaker 2: the Artist Director Honors. This recognizes artists whose directorial work
- 12:04Speaker 2: has advanced visual storytelling and music videos. Taylor Swift made
- 12:08Speaker 2: her solo directing debut with The Man in 2020 and
- 12:11Speaker 2: won Best Direction for that that year. The VMAs are
- 12:14Speaker 2: going to air September 27th from L.A. Get ready. That's
- 12:18Speaker 2: this weekend. And September 25th has been declared Dolly Parton
- 12:23Speaker 2: Day across several cities and states. I love it.
- 12:26Speaker 3: 9 to 5, baby.
- 12:28Speaker 2: That's exactly what it's referencing, her iconic hit 9 to 5.
- 12:31Speaker 2: California governor started it by declaring... Well, he signed a
- 12:35Speaker 2: bill making September 25th Dolly Parton Day statewide. Then Nashville
- 12:39Speaker 2: mayor declared it Dolly Parton Day with citywide events. Then Portland,
- 12:43Speaker 2: Oregon joined in, urging residents to celebrate Dolly the way
- 12:47Speaker 2: that she lived. And then two counties in Texas named
- 12:49Speaker 2: it Dolly Day. So maybe we'll get some here.
- 12:52Speaker 3: I'm hoping so. I love that everyone's getting involved.
- 12:54Speaker 2: That is three things you need to know more at
- 12:56Speaker 2: the Alabama show dot com.
- 12:59Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand.
- 13:00Speaker 7: Yes!
- 13:01Speaker 1: Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 13:04Speaker 2: 833-501-BAMA is the number to call the show. If you
- 13:06Speaker 2: have good news you want to share. Jessica, good morning.
- 13:09Speaker 2: What's your good news? I have great news.
- 13:11Speaker 9: I actually worked the night shift without falling asleep last night.
- 13:15Speaker 2: Woo! Let's go. Are you a nurse? Where do you
- 13:19Speaker 2: work the night shift?
- 13:21Speaker 9: I am a tech at a local hospital here in Birmingham.
- 13:25Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:25Speaker 5: And so I'm new.
- 13:26Speaker 9: So it's just one of the first nights that I've
- 13:29Speaker 9: not actually wanted to sleep.
- 13:31Speaker 2: What are you doing to make it through the night?
- 13:33Speaker 2: Are you drinking Red Bull coffee?
- 13:35Speaker 9: Two monsters and a diet Mountain Dew.
- 13:39Speaker 1: I know.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Look, I've done night shift before. It is probably one
- 13:42Speaker 2: of the most insane shifts to ever do because you
- 13:45Speaker 2: have to try to sleep during the day. Now, while
- 13:47Speaker 2: the whole world's awake, living life, you got to sleep.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And then when you wake up, everybody's asleep. It's crazy. Yep,
- 13:53Speaker 2: got to do it again tonight. Well, do you have
- 13:55Speaker 2: a family?
- 13:56Speaker 9: I do.
- 13:57Speaker 2: So are you missing out on your kids and husband
- 14:00Speaker 2: during the day?
- 14:02Speaker 9: Kids, I'm missing out on my girls.
- 14:05Speaker 5: It's only three days a week.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's good. Only three days a week is good.
- 14:08Speaker 2: And I know that what you're doing is to probably
- 14:11Speaker 2: pay for the groceries in school and all the things
- 14:13Speaker 2: that you're doing for your kids, too. So I am
- 14:16Speaker 2: proud of you for what you're doing. And this won't
- 14:18Speaker 2: be forever. And that's awesome what you're doing. So you
- 14:20Speaker 2: know what? You're getting the air horn. You're awesome.
- 14:22Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 14:25Speaker 9: Have a good day.
- 14:26Speaker 1: The Alabama Show on demand. Free on the iHeartRadio app.
- 14:32Speaker 4: Wheel of Pumpkin!
- 14:42Speaker 2: Welcome to Wheel of Pumpkin. I'm your host, Ryan Seacrest.
- 14:46Speaker 8: In honor of fall, the Alabama show is having producer
- 14:48Speaker 8: Blake try all the pumpkin spiced flavored treats this season
- 14:52Speaker 8: has to offer. Producer Blake, get ready to spin the
- 14:55Speaker 8: wheel and see what pumpkin spice flavored treat you will
- 14:59Speaker 8: be trying today.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Oh, I'm so ready for today.
- 15:02Speaker 3: I'm not. I don't want to do this.
- 15:03Speaker 2: We got two things on the wheel today, producer Blake.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Pumpkin spice espresso martini. Found at Trader Joe's and pumpkin
- 15:13Speaker 2: pie ice cream sandwich found at Whole Foods. Is there
- 15:17Speaker 2: one that you're that you're dreading the most that you
- 15:19Speaker 2: don't want to try?
- 15:20Speaker 6: Yes, the martini, because I feel like I'm going to
- 15:23Speaker 6: get sick drinking that.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yeah, it's probably going to be terrible. It is described
- 15:26Speaker 2: as great wine with natural flavors.
- 15:29Speaker 4: Oh, that's disgusting.
