- 1:59At least I do have one. Guest that from the United
- 2:04Kingdom, very excited, to have him on more to come on, that
- 2:09probably. Then the next week or two
- 2:11leading up to that week's release.
- 2:14But yeah, here we are just to recap on some things and talk
- 2:19about something that I think needs to be that we all should
- 2:23be like reminded of when it comes to getting together with
- 2:27people. So more to come on that here in
- 2:30just a minute. But yes, do want to say thank

- 2:59doing what I'm doing. It puts a value to the to the
- 3:04actions that I'm taking to keep this type of thing coming out
- 3:08here for for all you fine people.
- 3:12So let the incense before we forget, just doing one today.
- 3:21One. Frankincense shik.
- 3:25Should be enough to. Get going, what we need.

- 3:47best life that you can live best even way that you can be.
- 3:53So yeah guys, we have something that just kind of came to my
- 3:57mind. Recently.
- 3:59I've talked a lot about this particular subject so for some
- 4:02of you maybe that are, you know, longtime supporters and that
- 4:07have listen to this podcast or viewed my content here on the
- 4:12channel. For any length of time, you're
- 4:14going to know that. You know what I'm talking about
- 4:16is is been pretty. I don't want to say beaten to
- 4:20death or over spoken, but I've always feel like, you know
- 4:23there's there's there's times when you, you're going to get
- 4:27questions, you're going to have situations where revisiting
- 4:30things that we've talked about before and rehashing, those
- 4:33details is good, it's good to be reminded of those types of
- 4:37things, you know. And one of the one of the things
- 4:40is is this topic of frith, right?
- 4:44I don't want us to kind of remind ourselves.
- 4:46What what? What that is. and first by
- 4:51talking about what fourth is, you know, I want to start by
- 4:54saying what, what what kind of sparked me into that direction
- 4:58of thinking along those lines here in the Middle, Tennessee
- 5:02area, the local Heathen communities have really started
- 5:09to Make themselves known and it's been a great thing to see.
- 5:15It's almost like somebody came through and just woke a bunch of
- 5:19people up, and there's been activity, there's been movement.
- 5:22There's been, you know, a lot of networking taking place the last
- 5:29Middle, Tennessee, heathens Meetup, which we hosted at
- 5:34Mcalister's Deli and Murfreesboro off of Medical
- 5:36Center had about 20. Some people are so I have 15, 20
- 5:42people are so show up which may not sound like a lot, but when
- 5:44you get it, you know, an area in a restaurant that is
- 5:47concentrated to, you know, pagans and heathens and folks of
- 5:50that nature, you know, it's a nice little group of people and
- 5:54the majority of those people had never met each other in their
- 5:57lives before, you know. So it was a common ground.
- 5:59It was it was a place that we all could meet on common terms
- 6:05and get to know one another. And it really, like I said,
- 6:09like, you know, ever ever since like the last couple of months,
- 6:11Or so of us. Reintroducing these things into
- 6:13the area. It's like we're seeing a lot and
- 6:16it's not just us here in Middle Tennessee.
- 6:17It's, you know, people up close to like the Kentucky border.
- 6:21Clarksville Tennessee is in seeing a pretty active group.
- 6:24I'm not to privy to what's going on up in the Clarksville area.
- 6:28But I've heard that there's a group of upwards of about 30
- 6:31people that meet on a regular basis.
- 6:32So shout out to the Clarksville heathens up in that area.
- 6:36There is the Nashville heathens group on Facebook which although
- 6:41In number in terms of their memberships, have a really great
- 6:46regularly recurring. Get together at the Honey Tree m
- 6:51e in Nashville and got to meet some of the folks that are
- 6:54affiliated with the Honey Tree. M e.
- 6:57They have regular weekend get-togethers and they have
- 7:02this. I guess this sort of deal where,
- 7:04you know, Saturday nights, you can come and bring your horn and
- 7:07you get your horn filled up, if you have one, right?
- 7:10You bring your horny. And they get you a horn of Mead
- 7:15and you've got, I think. People there that, you know, or
- 7:19it may have just been this last sat down if it's a regular
- 7:22Saturday thing where you can dress in Period clothing, you
- 7:26know, you can go and wear your costume or where your your
- 7:29ritual, Garber, your Pagan Garb, whatever you want to call it.
- 7:32And just socialize and talk with people of like Minds aside from
- 7:39that, you know, the Raven, Moon, Hearth, Kindred that Chieftain.
- 7:43Greg Strong is, you know, helping with those folks and And
- 7:47they're all doing things. They've got the shadow moot
- 7:49event coming up here in another couple of months.
- 7:52Well, yeah, not a couple of months or so it's mid-october.
- 7:55I've been talking about that too.
- 7:56And, you know, so there's a lot of, there's a lot of recent
- 8:02activity, going on with people, our next Meetup here in Middle.
- 8:05Tennessee is happening in September, basically a month
- 8:10from or so, a month give or take a few days from when this
- 8:14podcast is airing. So mid-september where Thing a
- 8:18park mode so it's going to be like a potluck sort of thing
- 8:20where everybody contributes, everybody brings something as
- 8:23far as food and drink and it's going to be again an outdoors
- 8:29event. So we're going to have like a
- 8:30little Pavilion that we congregate in at one of the
- 8:35local city parks. So we're hoping for a really
- 8:39good turnout in from the responses that I've seen and
- 8:42stuff from from the event details. my back is a little bit
- 8:48tight, so I'm going to stretch a little bit but the the details
- 8:50from the responses of the the events are like We've got a lot
- 8:56of people expecting to come people from Alabama, people from
- 9:02other parts of Tennessee, possibly people, even from
- 9:05Kentucky. So the turnout that we had at
- 9:10the restaurant. If if half the people show up
- 9:13that are interested in showing up, will already be more than
- 9:19what was that the you know, Little Dot deli, meat up or
- 9:23whatever we want to call it that.
- 9:25Pub move. It's not really a pub because
- 9:27they don't serve alcohol, but you know what I'm saying?
- 9:30So seeing all of this stuff, right?
- 9:31And seeing all these people come together and meet and network
- 9:35and become friends, and share and conversation.
- 9:38All of that stuff is part of the community fostering in the
- 9:42community. Building things that are needed
- 9:44for tribes and other kindred's and stuff to grow for ones that
- 9:49are established and even to perhaps have ones, Be created a
- 9:54new right seeds. May be planted for those trees
- 9:59to grow in and grow from. I should say so seeing all this
- 10:03activity, right, like, it's great.
- 10:05And one of the things that we probably hear a lot.
- 10:09And then maybe even folks listening watching today, that
- 10:12use the term that I'm about to say in the context of which I'm
- 10:17about to say it and that it's you know, it's good to meet
- 10:20people and share frith. With people, you know.
- 10:26Or to meet and have forth with one another.
- 10:31And in the context that I think it's being used, and in the
- 10:34context that I think a lot of people who are using it intended
- 10:38to be used, there's some basic things about what we're
- 10:41referring to here, that really should be clarified and I think
- 10:45Revisited, and that's why I said, you, I may have talked
- 10:47about this before in other podcasts, or I've mentioned the
- 10:50word and the term and the meaning of it in other episodes
- 10:54or other content before, but for those that are new, for those,
- 10:58that may be listening for the first time.
- 10:59Maybe those that have just never heard it gone into in great
- 11:03detail. Here we are.
- 11:06So, you know, one of the things about when pagans gather
- 11:11together and when he didn't gather together so much of what
- 11:14I come to kind of realize is that there's this almost
- 11:19unspoken sense of family, you know, you're gathering around
- 11:24people that are so like-minded and that are so that that share
- 11:29in some of the same beliefs as you might that the sense of
- 11:35family is Most inherent, you know, like you feel like you're
- 11:39a part of a family of pagans or that, you're these pagans that
- 11:43you've never met a day in your life before, who are sharing the
- 11:48same religious views as you perhaps are close enough to
- 11:50them, they have the same spiritualities.
- 11:52They honor the same gods and honor their ancestors and do all
- 11:55these things that you can relate with that.
- 11:57Now just because of those, you know, similarities and because
- 12:02of those, you know, things that you are can be compared with
- 12:05into that. Now all of a sudden these These
- 12:08strangers are suddenly your family brother sister other such
- 12:12familial bonds and titles being being used with the again.
- 12:18The phrase of yeah, you know, we're meeting together and
- 12:20forth. It's good to share forth with
- 12:22each other. Yeah, right.
- 12:24So And then I want to preface with what I'm about to say with
- 12:30kind of like a disclaimer in that.
- 12:32What I say here are my views, my thoughts, my ramblings right are
- 12:38just that they are random heathens ramblings and I am that
- 12:42random Heathen. I'm just a heathen in Middle
- 12:45Tennessee. That has ideas that wants to
- 12:47share them with the world. And this is the platform and
- 12:49platforms that I can do it in. But by no means am I the person
- 12:56that you should walk away from at the end of the day and and
- 13:01change whatever it is that you're doing?
- 13:02Just because I said it, if what I said rings a bell or if what I
- 13:06said, Sparks you to do some research and then through your
- 13:09own research and through your own practices.
- 13:11Now you are finding that the thing that I said, makes you a
- 13:15better Pagan then that's great, so be it.
- 13:17But I'm not here to tell you what to do and how to do it.
- 13:21I'm simply here to share with you.
- 13:22My thoughts of my eye. Years and based on my own
- 13:25research based off of my own practices and and making sure
- 13:28that the things between those two like the lines in the sand
- 13:31are defined, right? Because what is historically
- 13:33reference, what is actual or factual or close enough to it
- 13:37is? Is that and what my own personal
- 13:41unverified, personal gnosis the UPG type stuff, is what that is
- 13:45and I don't blend the two together.
- 13:47I don't, I don't the lines are our definitive between the two,
- 13:51you know, I don't, I don't say that my own Onew PG is should be
- 13:54taken as fact, okay? Documented fact, historical
- 13:59facts. There's some speculation in my
- 14:01own mind. That the reason that we have
- 14:04these historical facts, right? The, the historical sources that
- 14:07we have is because somebody at some point in time, decided to
- 14:10write down things that was at one point in time.
- 14:14Another person's UPG, right? They saw something.
- 14:17They experience something, they had some sort of a moment or
- 14:20anything and they said, well this is what it And I'm going to
- 14:25and then everybody else nearby said well okay well if he's
- 14:27doing it she's doing it that way.
- 14:29I'm going to do it that way too and then we're all going to do
- 14:30it that way. And next thing you know it
- 14:32becomes a tradition and then that thing becomes a religion
- 14:34and next thing, you know, it becomes Doctrine.
- 14:37And so going into the weeds a little bit with it, but whether
- 14:41or not, you know, you want to go down that rabbit hole that's you
- 14:44know, again your prerogative. So there you go.
- 14:46There's there's there's that kind of disclaimer nothing that
- 14:48I'm about to say should be the thing that tells you to do what
- 14:51you're doing differently or think things differently.
- 14:53However, if what I do, say inspires you to look into it
- 14:57more in than what you find, shifts, your thoughts and you
- 15:02become more in line with what I'm thinking, then so be it
- 15:05whatever. So let's talk about it, right?
- 15:07Let's talk about the whole Frist thing and saying that you mean
- 15:10we share and forth or meeting in further or, you know, being
- 15:13together and forth. That doesn't really I get why
- 15:20you're saying it because there is I'm going to be quoting
- 15:22something a Because we're talking about, you know, a term
- 15:25that is an Old English and cognate with Old Norse and old
- 15:29high German. And some of these other, you
- 15:31know, old Germanic languages that aren't spoken anymore in
- 15:35their true form or in their original forms, just the
- 15:39cognitive cognate forms of those of those ancient languages are
- 15:43being spoken. But the word frith is again.
- 15:47It's an Old English word and we have at least one or two sources
- 15:52that I can think of off top my head.
- 15:53Head that are rep, that that are that are, you know, I say
- 15:57reliable enough reputable enough to go off of and get an
- 16:01understanding. And one of those sources that
- 16:03I'm going to be referencing is it's not an ancient source,
- 16:07okay? But I think is Wilhelm Grimm
- 16:10BEC, from culture of the Teutons, he's author of culture
- 16:14of the Teutons in his book, he writes that frith is the state
- 16:20of things which exists between friends.
- 16:24The state of things, which exist between friends.
- 16:27Now, the word friend, the modern word friend is, is cognate to
- 16:32frith or vice versa, right? The it, we get the word friend
- 16:35from this word for it, and it means, first and foremost
- 16:41reciprocal in Vile ability. Now I want us to pause and just,
- 16:46and remember these two key things first is the state of
- 16:50things which exist between friends Not people who've never
- 16:54met before and it is in its first and foremost foremost
- 16:58definition. Reciprocal inviolability.
- 17:02Okay, now remember that as we go on.
- 17:05However, individuals Wills May clash in a conflict of kin
- 17:09against Ken. However, stubborn individual
- 17:12heads, may seek their own way, according to their quota of
- 17:15wisdom. There can never be question of
- 17:18conflict, save in the sense of thoughts and feelings working
- 17:22their way toward an equi pose in unity.
- 17:28We need have no doubt, but that good Kinsmen could disagree with
- 17:32fervor. But however, the matter might
- 17:35stand there could should must inevitably be, but one ending to
- 17:42it, all a settlement Peaceable and making for peace frith.
- 17:50So, the last part there, right? A settlement.
- 17:55Peaceable and making of Peace. These are all very key things to
- 18:03bear in mind, right? The existence of the state of
- 18:06things between friends, is probably one of the most
- 18:09important aspects of this. You cannot experience forth with
- 18:14strangers. In its true form.
- 18:19You can experience peace between strangers and that is what we
- 18:22would call Griffith, right? This, this ceasefire peaceful
- 18:27state. So we seen the term use or
- 18:30referenced in, I believe. I'm trying to remember where the
- 18:35sources is that it around the Icelandic, all thing, if it was
- 18:41900, something thousand eighty, something like that.
- 18:45Where you had all of these plans, all these tribes all, the
- 18:49Kingdom's, whatever coming together for the annual thing
- 18:52for legal purposes. You know, and everybody that
- 18:55came to the thing had to agree to be Peaceable.
- 18:59Could have been that you were at war with, you know, vilhelm and
- 19:03Bjorn was trying to kick, you know, Ivar's ass over there in
- 19:07the other part of Norway. But when they all came together
- 19:10at the thing, it was a ceasefire.
- 19:14We're okay. We're going to be Civil.
- 19:16We're going to be Peaceable. We will observe and maintain the
- 19:20Griffiths Ted the state of this mutual agreement of Peace.
- 19:27What we have in online communities and even in personal
- 19:31communities when soon when strangers meet those are what we
- 19:35refer to as Griffith meetings or grits, dad's.
- 19:38Okay, we're not sharing in frith because we're strangers.
- 19:42We're sharing in Griffith where we are agreeing.
- 19:44That this is a Actually acceptable place to agree.
- 19:47We despite what, you know, I think or what you think we're
- 19:51meeting together on Peaceable terms.
- 19:54All right. So I understand like why you you
- 19:58would you would have people that would say, you know, sharing and
- 20:01frisked at a meet up or at a park mood, or anywhere where
- 20:06it's, you know, public gathering place because they're looking at
- 20:10the word for it as just the state of peace.
- 20:13Right. A peaceful agreement.
- 20:14A peaceful said which In first does have the meaning of the
- 20:19word does have kind of tations of Peace involved, there has to
- 20:22be peace when frith is established and maintained and
- 20:27kept but it is not just piece. It is reciprocal, inviolability
- 20:33the settlement of Peaceable and making for peace, right?
- 20:41It has to be made. Again.
- 20:45From the state of things between friends.
- 20:49So I'm going to use some examples of I've already given
- 20:52you like the one or two examples of what Griff is.
- 20:55You know, if you've have made a can online Facebook group or
- 21:00Discord server or any other sort of you know, online platform
- 21:03where you should, you talk to people who you've never met in
- 21:06person, right? Those meetings, those
- 21:09Gatherings. Those are grits Ted's.
- 21:10There's rules that you have to abide by right there.
- 21:13There's, you gotta play by the game.
- 21:15Of the house, right? Gotta do what they say.
- 21:18You got to be Peaceable, you have to maintain Griff and then
- 21:22when Griff is violated and there's you know, consequences
- 21:24to be made you to get banned, you'll get, you know, put on
- 21:27mute. You'll all these various checks
- 21:29and balances that are in place for growth.
- 21:32Those are one. Those are a couple examples of I
- 21:34can think of of, of grits said, The meetups are another one now
- 21:41frith is entirely different frisked.
- 21:44And you know if you want to look at it in like modern terms is
- 21:48first. Yes, there there is parts of for
- 21:50it. That mean peace.
- 21:52But the bigger thing about Frisk is that it refers to the
- 21:58obligation of peace that you maintain between.
- 22:03Friends Kinsman right in modern terms, I could think of probably
- 22:09the most like obvious example would be marriage or civil
- 22:15unions. You know, where you've got two
- 22:17different people who have established a friendship, a a
- 22:20bond of love, and a commitment to one another.
- 22:24And then Oaths are given and taken between those people to
- 22:27secure their adoration and love. And Spect and all this for each
- 22:34other forever, you know, you know, it's a binding contract
- 22:40and it that's a very good example of faith, in the sense
- 22:43that now, like, you know, my wife and I would say right, you
- 22:47know, we've exchanged vows at our wedding.
- 22:49We have sworn owes to each other during our marriage, right?
- 22:54And so, Those are like the binding that's that's like The
- 22:59Binding part of the Frist that we have frith is you know we
- 23:03spent time with each other, we learn to respect and in an honor
- 23:07each other and there isn't anything that one wouldn't do
- 23:10for the other. It's like the ultimate highest
- 23:13achieved almost level of forth you know you I think there's
- 23:16like again we'll talk a little bit about that but like varying
- 23:19degrees of of frif you know the fruit that I have with my wife
- 23:24is not the same for it that I have with, you know, Tribesmen,
- 23:29but there's four if there if there is peace and then when
- 23:33there's not peace, there is measures to counter act and heal
- 23:37and repair the damages. That would that was done because
- 23:40of that, that strong sense of I am obligated to this person and
- 23:46they are obligated to me. So a marriage would be probably
- 23:52a good example of what frith means.
- 23:55You know. It's yes there's peace.
- 23:57But then there are times where it's not always and you have to
- 23:59compromise, you have to reciprocate, you have to come up
- 24:02with an agreement that okay, you know because of our love and
- 24:06respect and honor for each other then.
- 24:07Okay well I'm not going to necessarily I don't want to do
- 24:10that and you don't want to do it my way and I want to do it your
- 24:13way. Let's figure out what the best
- 24:15way is to do. That's going to least.
- 24:18Make both of us a little happy or one of us, happy enough to
- 24:21just agree to disagree and let it go and do whatever it is,
- 24:25right? Similarly, you know in the tribe
- 24:33when at least the way our tribe has been established in was, was
- 24:37built off of the Deeds between the brothers of the tribe.
- 24:42You know, the Archer, our little group, you know, Dango, Patrick
- 24:46Richard Jean myself, right? Our core tribe of inner circle
- 24:51people It was not necessarily an oath that was given or taken but
- 24:58a Worthing process had to be underwent or undergone, right?
- 25:04We underwent Worthing we did things with each other that
- 25:08proved each other's Worth to the other man.
- 25:10You know what I mean? If help was required, we would
- 25:14be there for each other when and when, you know, one of our
- 25:19tribesmen father died, you know, we came in We showed our
- 25:22respects, you know, we work together to plan and and and
- 25:28have our annual rituals. We do all of the spiritual work
- 25:33as a tribe together. And it's and it's even before
- 25:36that ceremonial piece of the ritual, everything that leads up
- 25:39to it, the preparation of the land, the cut that, you know,
- 25:41cut chopping firewood, the building of the camp, the
- 25:45cooking of the food, all of that stuff leading up to.
- 25:48It is kind of like ritual in and of itself, you know, it's And
- 25:52you it's getting you in that mindset of what's about to
- 25:55happen and you're doing it with your tribe and you rely on one
- 25:59another. You know, when I get too tired
- 26:01from cutting, the wood Tango steps in and helps cut more of
- 26:04it. Or if I'm over here, having
- 26:06problems setting up my Camp, Patrick's going to come and help
- 26:09me level the ground out, you know.
- 26:11And I'm going to see that, you know, Richard or can or whoever
- 26:15else might be there. That's, you know, needing
- 26:18something that I'm attending to them too.
- 26:19So there's this Reciprocation, write the reciprocal
- 26:23inviolability that learned back is talking about in his culture.
- 26:26The Teutons that is the, the glue, right?
- 26:31That binds the strength of frith.
- 26:35And because any so anything else that happens, no matter if, you
- 26:38know, I get a bug up my ass and something that you know, Jean
- 26:41says pisses me off because of the first bond that we have.
- 26:44It's the damage that occurs from things like that is so trivial
- 26:47that the bonds of Frisk seal it back up again, you know.
- 26:51So that damage that is sustained in minor things like that has
- 26:55barely little impact, you know, we we just get go through and we
- 26:58shrug it off and it's, you know, it's just us being us thus more,
- 27:03severe damages, the first the things of Like betrayal or
- 27:07failure to uphold your end of the deal.
- 27:10You know things that would make you not trust or be as
- 27:13trustworthy things that you could have done to have all the
- 27:16work that you put into worth yourself.
- 27:17Now you're not proving yourself to be as worth as much as you
- 27:22were thought to be at first, you know, so you're worth
- 27:25diminishes, you become You know. An Expendable asset as it were,
- 27:35you know, you're not upholding your end of the deal.
- 27:37The tribe is struggling because you're not Pat, you're not
- 27:40pulling your weight, you're not doing enough, you're failing to
- 27:44meet the obligation that others have held up to, you know, the
- 27:48standards that have been held that they've been held up to and
- 27:50that you hold them up to your failing on your end.
- 27:53And so that's a damage to the Frist Bond.
- 27:55That's it, that's it. That's a pretty severe.
- 27:57That's a critical hit. So that the fifth web, the thing
- 28:01that binds you all together and depending on how strong that
- 28:05frith is prior to that damage being sustained, Determines
- 28:10whether or not that damage can be repaired or if the damage is
- 28:14so great. If the violation is so,
- 28:18terrible, that you have to cut your loss and Outlaw that that
- 28:25thing or that person, right? Get her to get it away and now
- 28:28it's it's outside of that sacred Inner Circle of tribe and of the
- 28:33frith. So, you know, the fruit that I
- 28:39have with my wife, there is literally nothing that is going
- 28:43to break that web. We've been together for seven
- 28:46years, married, for five of those seven.
- 28:51We've gone through everything that a couple are age, I think
- 28:55could think of. And then some, you know, the
- 29:00Betrayal betrayal of trust, the loss of loved ones, the injury
- 29:06of persons and body body and thus, the mental, the
- 29:10psychological, the spiritual struggles that we've endured
- 29:13together in the last 7 years of being together, has established
- 29:18a web that is impervious to anything.
- 29:22Like, there's nothing that's going to rip that apart.
- 29:25You know, you can take a meteor hit and it'll shake it, and then
- 29:30that's about it. There's not gonna be any
- 29:31penetration, there's no, there's no penetrative damage, you know.
- 29:36You're not going to get that from just meeting up with
- 29:38somebody for the first time and talking about the Norse gods or
- 29:42ancestor veneration or land visitors or you know any of that
- 29:45other fun stuff that is about this practice, right?
- 29:48You're not going to have that with somebody that you just walk
- 29:50in with, there's no sharing of Frist.
- 29:52There's no, you know, That's not happening there at that point.
- 29:59What you're doing is you're, you know, it's a Grist at your
- 30:03meeting. Now, what can become of that,
- 30:04what that is, what the interactions between people,
- 30:07that could definitely lead to things that build frith and
- 30:12building frith is, is the start of it.
- 30:14You've got to start somewhere, right?
- 30:16Go to these meetings, meet these people talk, and hang out about,
- 30:19you know, things but know what it is.
- 30:20When you go, there it is. It is a common meeting ground of
- 30:23similarly like-minded individuals. this isn't a you
- 30:27know this isn't a summons from your Chieftain or yarol or you
- 30:30you know Goethe or whatever to attend something at a high Feast
- 30:35nature and it's just, you know, yourself and your Kinsmen and
- 30:38your tribe that would be more like what you would see of
- 30:43examples of frif because everyone there is Bound together
- 30:47through obligation, right? So you know fourth piece, right?
- 30:52Yes there's definite piece there there is trust there and within
- 30:57frith you know and loss of trust, betrayals of trust can
- 31:03damage breath, there's the maintenance of forthright, so
- 31:08once you've built something, there is the maintenance of it
- 31:10and the upkeep of it, and that's even harder to do than to build
- 31:14it. You know, again, if If the
- 31:17building and the working on, it has made it so that it's nearly
- 31:20impenetrable, then you've done. Well and the maintenance is low.
- 31:28If you're, if you're too anxious up front to get involved with
- 31:32people that have not, you know, proven their worth to you and
- 31:36you have not proven your Worth to them.
- 31:38And you get involved with people too early on the net first Bond,
- 31:40can't be established. And so, when betrayals happen,
- 31:43and when, you know, someone so sleeps with so-and-so's Friend
- 31:46girlfriend does something inappropriate look breaks, trust
- 31:50right Critical Hits because all this was supposed to be a fourth
- 31:54Bond, you know, this is supposed to be a, you know, a band of
- 31:57brothers and sisters and look what you've done to me.
- 32:00Well, he didn't even give him the chance to prove their worth
- 32:02to you if you give him a year or so, you might have seen
- 32:04behaviors, that could have indicated, I better stay away
- 32:07from this, you know, group of people or that individual or
- 32:10whatever. Right.
- 32:13So again that that it has to start somewhere but If it
- 32:17doesn't start off strong and get that, you know, traction at
- 32:22first and then good diligent maintenance, apply to it at that
- 32:28time. It's too weak to continue in it
- 32:34and it can't. It's going to just get, you
- 32:36know, the threads are going to fray from that web.
- 32:41Maintaining that for if and and building those Strong's.
- 32:44Again, very few examples could be given of a web that is Not
- 32:51susceptible to damage. When that damage occurs, is it
- 32:55repairable or has the damage been so strong too?
- 33:00That there's a, there's nothing to repair.
- 33:03There's nothing else to build off of its blown down.
- 33:06Tornado ripped, right out of its roots, obliterated, right?
- 33:14And I've had examples of all of that happen with me in the time
- 33:20that I've been practicing. My even re, you know, I've seen
- 33:25frith get destroyed. You know.
- 33:32Sometimes the best efforts the best made plans.
- 33:36Still have a have a weak spot and that weak spot gets detected
- 33:41and gets hit and it's, and it's over. you know, I've learned
- 33:47that To really get to know somebody.
- 33:50You know, a few weeks a month Ain't Enough.
- 33:54You know. You need to give time, you know.
- 33:59Wow, time you need to allow experience.
- 34:01You need to allow Worthing to occur.
- 34:04You can't just say, yeah, I hung out with him a few times in the
- 34:06last month, and he's a really cool guy, man.
- 34:08I like the way he looks. He really carries himself.
- 34:11Well, he quotes to have them all.
- 34:12Like, it's the Bible man. Like What is he worth?
- 34:18What did he do for you? What, what has he done already?
- 34:21That, you know, of what is the level of the layer of his of his
- 34:26main. And then, how is his gift rain?
- 34:28However, his how his might and reputation, you know?
- 34:32So anyway, going out into the weeds a bit with all that but it
- 34:37all points back to the fact that II get it.
- 34:40I know why I've heard the term for it being used in the context
- 34:44that they thought it was. Unlike it reminds me of that
- 34:47that scene from The Princess Bride, we're inconceivable
- 34:52inconceivable and then to go Montoya, he's like that's worth
- 34:56You keep saying that word, I don't think it means what you
- 34:58think it means. And that's what I'm going.
- 35:01Like you keep saying that word for it?
- 35:03I don't think it. I don't think that, you know
- 35:04what it means, what you think it means, it doesn't mean what you
- 35:07think it means. So we're going to talk about it.
- 35:08We're going to revisit it. It's peace.
- 35:11Yes. There's there's an element of
- 35:12Peace there but it's way deeper than that.
- 35:15There is reciprocity, there is obligation.
- 35:17There is trust. There is love, you know.
- 35:20There is all of the things and it's in.
- 35:22It's really interesting to see that there's a word that exists
- 35:25that encompasses all of that. It did.
- 35:28It's like a, you know, you can say all those things and we need
- 35:31to condense it into one word you have for it.
- 35:34And that is where we get our word friends from, because the
- 35:39state of things between friends, right?
- 35:41That, that reciprocal inviolability, So as we are
- 35:46being so excited and thrilled to see the Heathen and Pagan
- 35:51communities of Middle Tennessee, really starting to step up and
- 35:55do things and be active. And Build right.
- 36:02As excited as I am to see that and it is thrilling as we can,
- 36:06you know, be all happy for. Let's remember.
- 36:10Okay, in this guy again, this goes beyond my own UPG.
- 36:14This goes into what the literal meanings of the word.
- 36:18Are, you know, let's be careful of who we share in Thai frith
- 36:23with, because, as growth expands and as Things become bigger.
- 36:27And as more pagans are doing more, Things.
- 36:29And as we start shaking the ground a little bit and making
- 36:31some noise, it's going to attract Unsavory and the wrong
- 36:38types of people that want to be a part of something, because
- 36:41they have ill in mind, and they have, and they are not the type
- 36:45of people that you would want to exchange, and share frith with,
- 36:49and establish obligation between, right?
- 36:53That's going to happen. You're going to have to be
- 36:55careful. You're gonna have to Be watchful
- 36:57and you're going to have to not be like yeah come here and have
- 36:59first with us guys. You know.
- 37:01It's our first barbecue of the year we haven't seen each other
- 37:03all winter come and have forth with us.
- 37:07You don't don't set that standard don't set.
- 37:09The standard of Frist. Just being a cool place to hang
- 37:12out, man, right? It's all chill here, bro.
- 37:17Right. That's Griffith.
- 37:22That's your grits dead. Okay.
- 37:26The mutual meeting grounds of. I'm not going to mess with your
- 37:30shit today, but that doesn't mean.
- 37:32I'm not going to come knocking on your door tomorrow.
- 37:35Because as while we're here, we got to be civil.
