- 0:01In our normal human lives, we live in an externally focused
- 0:05standpoint and we create a distinction between objective
- 0:09reality and subjective reality because we are so dependent on
- 0:15the body. Life, mind complex and its
- 0:17relation to the outer World. We tend to assign a greater
- 0:21truth and reality to the external World.
- 0:25Western science has made the ability to measure and reproduce
- 0:29results in the the external world as the Touchstone of what
- 0:34is real subjective. Experiences subjective views are
- 0:40treated as something less real and thereby denigrated in our
- 0:44understanding As the Seeker shifts.
- 0:48However, to a more inward Consciousness, it becomes clear
- 0:52that the normal judgements of objective and subjective can no
- 0:56longer apply. We also begin to recognize that
- 1:01the inner life and the outer life are intimately tied to one
- 1:05another influence one another and in fact depend on one
- 1:11another The wall we have set up between objective and subjective
- 1:16begins to disappear. We recognize the power of
- 1:20thought to create external activities and events.
- 1:24We begin to understand the power of emotions to drive our
- 1:28external life. We also recognize that thoughts
- 1:32and emotions have power to influence others and the
- 1:37environment around us. At a certain point, we therefore
- 1:42need to recognize that the spiritual awareness based in an
- 1:47inward Consciousness is real powerful and despite a lack of
- 1:53external validation needs to be appreciated for what in truth is
- 1:59the manifestation of the spiritual power that creates and
- 2:03drives Our Lives. The subtle is seen to be more
- 2:07powerful, more effective and more real than the gross
- 2:12physical world, which is seen as the effect of this subtler
- 2:16action. Not the cause this is just the
- 2:20reverse of the way. Western science has historically
- 2:24looked at things yet. How can we say that physical
- 2:28elements can manifest mind? Music, art emotion etcetera.
- 2:32If these things were not already, How involved in the
- 2:37physical reality. This involvement is based on the
- 2:41subtle energies, the Unseen powers of Consciousness, which
- 2:46create the infused Consciousness into the most external forms of
- 2:52existence. This provides for us, a basis
- 2:56for understanding, the need to shift to an appreciation of how
- 2:59thoughts dreams, Visions, moods emotions.
- 3:05Ins feelings and intimations actually arise from whence, they
- 3:11come. What their importance and impact
- 3:15is and how they create our external reality for us.
- 3:21SRI aurobindo notes quote. There is no law that a feeling
- 3:26cannot be an experience experiences are of all kinds and
- 3:31take all forms in the Consciousness.
- 3:34When the Consciousness undergoes sees or feels anything spiritual
- 3:39or psychic or even a cult that is an experience in the
- 3:45technical yogic sense for there are, of course all sorts of
- 3:49experiences that are not of that.
- 3:53The feeling's themselves are of many kinds.
- 3:56The word feeling is often used for an emotion and there can be
- 4:01psychic or spiritual emotions which are numbered among yogic
- 4:04experiences such as a wave of should have bhakti or the rising
- 4:10of Love towards the Divine. A feeling also means a
- 4:14perception of something felt a perception in the vital or
- 4:18psychic. Or in the essential substance of
- 4:22the consciousness. I find even often a mental
- 4:26perception when it is very Vivid described as a Feeling.
- 4:31If you, exclude all these feelings and Kindred ones and
- 4:35say that they are feelings, not experiences.
- 4:38Then there is very little room left for experiences, at all,
- 4:43feeling and vision, are the main forms of spiritual experience.
- 4:47One sees and feels the Brahmin everywhere.
- 4:50One feels of for Center or go out from one.
- 4:54One feels worse. He's the presence of the divine
- 4:57within or around 11 feels or sees.
- 5:01The Descent of light one feels The Descent of Peace were on
- 5:07under kick out all that on the ground that it is only a feeling
- 5:12and you make a clean sweep of most of the things that we call
- 5:15experience again. We feel a change in the
- 5:19substance of the Consciousness or the State of Consciousness.
- 5:23We feel ourselves spreading in wideness and the body has a
- 5:27small thing in the wideness. This can be seen also, we feel
- 5:32the heart Consciousness being wide instead of narrow soft,
- 5:37instead of hard illumined, instead of obscured the head
- 5:41Consciousness, also, the vital, even the physical.
- 5:45We feel thousands of things of all kinds and why are we not to
- 5:50call them experiences? Of course it is an inner sight
- 5:56in inner feeling, subtle, feeling not Material.
- 6:00Like the feeling of a cold wind or a stone or any other object,
- 6:05but as the inner Consciousness deepens it is not less Vivid or
- 6:10concrete, it is even more. So in quote reference SRI
