- 0:00Speaker 1: Three things you need to know.
- 0:01Speaker 2: All right, all right, let's go. Thank you for starting
- 0:04Speaker 2: this Tuesday with us.
- 0:05Speaker 3: Ricky Sanchez has those three things presented by Mark Spain
- 0:08Speaker 3: Real Estate.
- 0:09Speaker 1: Boyz II Men are putting out a country album. You
- 0:12Speaker 1: know the group Boyz II Men for their R &
- 0:14Speaker 1: B hit, End of the Road. Here's a little clip
- 0:17Speaker 1: in case you don't remember. A classic. Love it. There
- 0:27Speaker 1: was a lot of people's wedding songs when it came out.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Just truly a classic. And they just recently signed with
- 0:34Speaker 1: Warner Brothers Records Nashville. So they plan to put out
- 0:36Speaker 1: a country album next year. This is going to be
- 0:39Speaker 1: their first album since 2017, which is really big. That's
- 0:42Speaker 1: going to be 10 years since their last album that
- 0:45Speaker 1: they come out with this country album. They all just
- 0:47Speaker 1: sound so, the way they harmonize together, crazy. I'm really
- 0:51Speaker 1: pumped to see what this is going to sound like.
- 0:53Speaker 1: This week is the last week for Fear Fest. at
- 0:55Speaker 1: the Franklin Theater. The Franklin Theater has been celebrating Halloween
- 0:59Speaker 1: all month long with spooky movie showings, both old and new.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So Halloween's on Saturday. This is the last week for
- 1:05Speaker 1: you to check out Fear Fest. They're showing the Rocky
- 1:08Speaker 1: Horror Picture Show multiple times, as well as movies like Nope, Beetlejuice,
- 1:13Speaker 1: Child's Play, Coco, Obsession, Chainsaw Massacre, and Halloween.
- 1:17Speaker 2: A little bit of everything in there.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, new, old, everything that you can think of.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You can check out the times of the showings and
- 1:24Speaker 1: the dates at as well as grab your tickets of
- 1:27Speaker 1: these specific showings on their website. Go support them. Celebrate
- 1:31Speaker 1: the last bit of Halloween because on November 1st, they
- 1:35Speaker 1: start their Christmas stuff. I'm totally fine. Everything's fine. Target
- 1:42Speaker 1: is offering a budget-friendly Thanksgiving meal for $ 30 that's designed
- 1:46Speaker 1: to feed six people because Thanksgiving is before Christmas, even
- 1:50Speaker 1: though everybody forgets about it. The bundle includes a whole butterball, turkey, potatoes,
- 1:56Speaker 1: cranberry sauce, green beans, cream of mushroom soup, crispy onion stuffing,
- 2:00Speaker 1: turkey gravy, and two baguettes. It ends up being about
- 2:03Speaker 1: $ 5 per person. The idea behind this one is for
- 2:06Speaker 1: the smaller gatherings. A lot of these are for bigger
- 2:09Speaker 1: gatherings that these companies do, which is great and needed. But,
- 2:13Speaker 1: you know, sometimes you just need enough for maybe four people.
- 2:16Speaker 1: If you get enough for six, then it ends up
- 2:18Speaker 1: having leftovers in the end. There's also an option to
- 2:20Speaker 1: add on extra sides and appetizers or desserts for around
- 2:24Speaker 1: $ 5 each. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three
- 2:26Speaker 1: things you.
- 2:27Speaker 4: Need to know. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 2:29Speaker 3: You want to go see Matchbox 20 and All-American Rejects?
- 2:33Speaker 2: If you do, we can make that happen.
- 2:35Speaker 3: That's what we have all week long for the first
- 2:36Speaker 3: caller of the day here on 107.5 The River.
- 2:39Speaker 1: 615-737-9107. They're celebrating 30 years. Pretty wild, man. That's awesome.
- 2:46Speaker 1: I know. It's going to be a lot of fun, though,
- 2:47Speaker 1: because they're going to do all of their hits throughout
- 2:50Speaker 1: that time, which there are a lot of them.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I didn't realize they started the year I was born.
- 2:54Speaker 4: 615-737-9107.
- 2:54Speaker 3: Come on and go see Matchbox 20. We're talking to
- 3:00Speaker 3: you next.
- 3:02Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 3:04Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River. We cannot stop talking about Halloween
- 3:08Speaker 1: in the studio. Mostly just Kevin and I are talking
- 3:11Speaker 1: about Halloween.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Mostly just you. Zach's wearing an orange shirt today. He
- 3:15Speaker 2: looks like a pumpkin. He's joining the party.
- 3:17Speaker 1: Aw, thanks. I didn't know how he was going to
- 3:19Speaker 1: take the idea of looking like a pumpkin. I don't
- 3:21Speaker 1: know if you saw my face change. I was very nervous.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Tasha and Franklin, good morning. Are you excited about Halloween
- 3:28Speaker 1: this weekend?
- 3:29Speaker 2: I am.
- 3:30Speaker 3: I am.
- 3:30Speaker 5: I'm a teacher, so, like, we're.
- 3:31Speaker 1: Doing our Halloween parties on Fridays, so we're excited. Oh,
- 3:34Speaker 1: so everybody gets to get dressed up? Is everybody going
- 3:36Speaker 1: to get candy and have, like, a little party? How
- 3:39Speaker 1: does that work for you guys?
- 3:40Speaker 3: So we do a Halloween.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Party for, like, the families to come in, and then
- 3:44Speaker 1: we do a Halloween parade. For the families to see
- 3:48Speaker 1: the kids in the Halloween costumes.
- 3:49Speaker 2: That's so cute. Tasha, what are you going to dress
- 3:52Speaker 2: up as? I have no idea.
- 3:59Speaker 1: You've got to figure that out really soon, Tasha.
- 4:01Speaker 5: Well, I'm wearing an orange shirt. If you want to
- 4:03Speaker 5: borrow mine, you can be a pumpkin.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Go as a pumpkin.
- 4:06Speaker 3: Well, I could probably do that, yeah. My granddaughter, she's
- 4:09Speaker 3: going to be a Minnie Mouse, so I could probably
- 4:11Speaker 3: do something like that.
- 4:12Speaker 2: That's cute. That's adorable.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Hey, Tasha, you just reminded me, Ricky and Zach, while
- 4:17Speaker 3: I have you. We're doing the same type of thing
- 4:19Speaker 3: in my kids' school on Friday, so I'm going to
- 4:20Speaker 3: have to leave a little bit early on Friday.
- 4:22Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 4:23Speaker 2: Just letting you know. Yeah, thanks so.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Much for that.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I like to deliver that kind of news live on
- 4:27Speaker 2: the air.
- 4:28Speaker 1: Uh-huh. Yeah, of course. Tasha, I have great news for you,
- 4:33Speaker 1: even though that news completely threw me off that Kevin
- 4:35Speaker 1: just gave us. You are the first caller of the
- 4:37Speaker 1: day this morning on 107.5 The River. You're getting tickets
- 4:39Speaker 1: to see Matchbox 20 and the All-American Rejects.
- 4:42Speaker 4: Oh, yes.
- 4:43Speaker 5: I love that recording.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Yeah, it's going to be a great show. It's her
- 4:46Speaker 3: 30th anniversary. You are going to go see him at Bridgestone.
- 4:48Speaker 2: Congratulations.
- 4:49Speaker 1: Thank you so much.
- 4:51Speaker 2: You're so welcome.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Make sure you figure out what you're going to wear
- 4:53Speaker 1: for this parade. You can't be the teacher that doesn't
- 4:56Speaker 1: dress up. I will be start looking now.
- 4:59Speaker 3: Okay, good.
- 5:00Speaker 1: I'm like, I'm kind of guilting you here a little bit. Tasha,
- 5:04Speaker 1: hang on the line for a sec, okay, love? Okay,
- 5:06Speaker 1: thank you. Kevin, what are your kids dressing up as?
- 5:09Speaker 3: My daughter is a nurse, but like on Halloween night,
- 5:12Speaker 3: she's going to be a bloody nurse.
- 5:13Speaker 2: She just can't wear the blood to school.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Ah, that makes sense.
- 5:15Speaker 3: And then Riley has like three different costumes. I think
- 5:18Speaker 3: he's going to be a neato, squishy. My wife actually
- 5:21Speaker 3: made him that costume, but then we went to a
- 5:23Speaker 3: Halloween party over the weekend and it sort of fell apart.
- 5:25Speaker 2: So she's going to see if she can fix it.
- 5:27Speaker 1: Okay, very cute.
- 5:28Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Schools are so obnoxious.
- 5:31Speaker 4: What?
- 5:32Speaker 2: Oh, with the rules. Yeah, the rules.
- 5:34Speaker 5: Oh, I was like, why are you saying that?
- 5:35Speaker 4: It's Halloween.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Everybody knows it's fake blood.
- 5:37Speaker 3: You can't have, like, weapons. You can't have your face covered.
- 5:39Speaker 3: You can't have the blood. There's, you know, there's a.
- 5:40Speaker 1: I mean, the weapons part makes sense.
- 5:42Speaker 2: Sure, sure, sure, sure.
- 5:43Speaker 1: But the blood doesn't to me.
- 5:45Speaker 4: More of the.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Matchbox 20 All-American Rejects tickets same time tomorrow.
- 5:49Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Ricky and Zach, have you guys ever gone to, like,
- 5:54Speaker 3: a fandom event?
- 5:55Speaker 2: Like a, you know what I mean?
- 5:56Speaker 4: Like a big.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Like Comic-Con, something like that where you wait in line
- 5:58Speaker 2: to meet people. Not yet. I can't say that I have.
- 6:02Speaker 3: I just did it for the first time ever. I've
- 6:03Speaker 3: never done it either, but my son and I just
- 6:05Speaker 3: went somewhere. And it was super cool, but also there
- 6:07Speaker 3: were things about it that I just really did not like.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Oh, boy. Are you just going to complain the whole time?
- 6:12Speaker 2: That's what I do, baby.
- 6:13Speaker 3: Right after Teddy Sims, I'll tell you where we went.
- 6:17Speaker 3: For the most part, it was awesome, but some stuff
- 6:19Speaker 3: I didn't like. I'll tell you next on The Riff.
- 6:20Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 6:23Speaker 1: Kevin, you got to tell us all about your experience.
- 6:26Speaker 1: But let's keep the complaining to a minimum here, sir.
- 6:28Speaker 1: It's not necessarily complaining. It's like, it was like a sadness.
- 6:32Speaker 2: That hit me.
- 6:33Speaker 1: Oh, okay. It's 107.5 The River. Now I kind of
- 6:36Speaker 1: feel bad that it's a sadness. What happened? You experienced a...
- 6:41Speaker 1: fan-like convention?
- 6:42Speaker 2: You feel bad that Hopi cries. No, no, it's not
- 6:45Speaker 2: like that. That's mean, Zach. No, yeah, my, so we
- 6:48Speaker 2: were in L.A.
- 6:49Speaker 3: Over the weekend, and my son and I, my son
- 6:50Speaker 3: is a huge Back to the Future fan, as I am.
- 6:53Speaker 3: I mean, I am the reason he's a Back to
- 6:54Speaker 3: the Future fan, but he was Marty McFly last year
- 6:57Speaker 3: for Halloween. And he wore that Marty McFly costume again
- 7:00Speaker 3: this weekend when we went to.
- 7:02Speaker 2: Future Flux Fest. It is a big Back to the Future, like.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Fan event.
- 7:06Speaker 2: And I didn't know what to expect.
- 7:07Speaker 3: It's right there where they filmed a bunch of the
- 7:09Speaker 3: movie by the Twin Pines Mall. It was very cool
- 7:13Speaker 3: to be there and to see all the people. I mean,
- 7:17Speaker 3: thousands of people? Like, it was crazy. They had a
- 7:19Speaker 3: bunch of DeLoreans and stuff there, and some of the
- 7:22Speaker 3: cast was there.
- 7:23Speaker 5: I was about to ask, are any of the original
- 7:25Speaker 5: actors still alive?
- 7:27Speaker 2: Yep, a lot of them are. I mean, Michael J.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Fox and, you know, Christopher Lloyd are definitely still both alive.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I don't think Zach's ever seen the movie.
- 7:34Speaker 2: No, but they were not there. Those two were not there.
- 7:36Speaker 2: A lot of, like, smaller....
- 7:39Speaker 1: You had a great time, I assume, because you were
- 7:41Speaker 1: with your son.
- 7:42Speaker 2: We had a fantastic time. He loved it. I loved it.
- 7:44Speaker 2: It was cool.
- 7:45Speaker 3: The thing that made me kind of sad, and I
- 7:46Speaker 3: didn't really think about it about a lot of these
- 7:48Speaker 3: events and probably the same with, like, Comic-Con and stuff,
- 7:50Speaker 3: is the transactional nature of it when the characters, the
- 7:54Speaker 3: actors are sitting behind their table.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Like, they're not going to do much with you.
- 7:58Speaker 3: They're not going to really, like, chat with you too
- 7:59Speaker 3: much until that credit card payment goes through.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Like, you're paying.
- 8:03Speaker 3: to spend a little time with them, to spend 15 seconds.
- 8:06Speaker 2: So, you know what I mean?
- 8:07Speaker 3: Like, they're just kind of sitting there waiting for them
- 8:09Speaker 3: to get the Venmo or whatever until they'll really interact
- 8:12Speaker 3: with you.
- 8:12Speaker 2: And, like, that was... It's just sad.
- 8:14Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 8:15Speaker 5: Do you think that they were, like, nicer and more
- 8:17Speaker 5: engaged to people that paid more money?
- 8:19Speaker 3: Yes.
- 8:19Speaker 2: I mean, like, the menu of things you could get, like... Oh,
- 8:23Speaker 2: there's a menu. Oh, yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 3: A selfie is this much money. An autograph is this
- 8:26Speaker 3: much money. If you want to sign something else, it's
- 8:28Speaker 3: this much money. If you want to do a video...
- 8:30Speaker 3: where they say their lines from the movie.
- 8:32Speaker 1: So do you pay to get into this convention first,
- 8:35Speaker 1: and then you have to pay to speak to anybody?
- 8:38Speaker 2: No, the convention itself is free.
- 8:40Speaker 1: It's free, okay.
- 8:41Speaker 2: But these people are all sitting in their little booths
- 8:42Speaker 2: behind a table. I see. And you pay for the interactions, really.
- 8:47Speaker 5: I feel like that is, I feel bad for the stars,
- 8:49Speaker 5: the actors.
- 8:50Speaker 2: That is so awkward.
- 8:51Speaker 5: I hate money conversations and transactions like that. if that
- 8:56Speaker 5: were the case i feel like you should have to
- 8:58Speaker 5: buy it with the ticket that way you walk up
- 9:01Speaker 5: and you have like the understanding of what's going to
- 9:03Speaker 5: happen instead of standing there and like awkwardly checking your
- 9:06Speaker 5: bank account making sure that you have enough money for
- 9:08Speaker 5: a selfie like that is just so weird.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Well somebody else is taking the payments right or are
- 9:13Speaker 1: they taking the pay i.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Mean for some of the bigger stars from the movie
- 9:16Speaker 3: like uh um lorraine was there marty's mom from the movie.
- 9:20Speaker 2: She had people.
- 9:21Speaker 3: But some of the other people, like the guy that says,
- 9:23Speaker 3: I think he stole his wallet.
- 9:24Speaker 2: Like, that's his one line in the movie. He was
- 9:26Speaker 2: just doing his own thing. You paid him directly. That
- 9:29Speaker 2: is so awkward.
- 9:30Speaker 1: I know.
- 9:31Speaker 3: That's what I'm saying. It makes me sad for them
- 9:33Speaker 3: as well, Zach. Like, these people, you know, so many
- 9:36Speaker 3: people there... love this movie and then to see them
- 9:39Speaker 3: sitting there just kind of like with the.
- 9:41Speaker 1: Begging for i don't think anybody that goes though cares
- 9:43Speaker 1: about that i did i think they're just yeah but
- 9:46Speaker 1: i think the people who are like excited to do
- 9:47Speaker 1: these things all the time like i think they just
- 9:49Speaker 1: know that's how it works and they're fine with it
- 9:52Speaker 1: yeah i've never heard complaints like that from people who
- 9:55Speaker 1: go to like comic-con and things like that i don't
- 9:57Speaker 1: know if it's different there or the same, but that's
- 10:01Speaker 1: never been something that I've heard people complain about. So
- 10:04Speaker 1: it seems like they're okay with it.
- 10:06Speaker 3: I would think that at Comic-Con, it might be organized
- 10:08Speaker 3: a little differently, and maybe it's different where you're not
- 10:09Speaker 3: walking up to the person and handing them cash so
- 10:11Speaker 3: they'll talk to you.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Maybe.
- 10:14Speaker 2: I have no idea. That's kind of how this felt.
- 10:16Speaker 1: You still had a great time, though.
- 10:17Speaker 3: Any Back to the Future fans out there?
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yes, we met Lorraine, Jennifer, Marty's girlfriend.
- 10:22Speaker 3: We met Mayor Goldie Wilson, Marvin Barry, and the previously mentioned.
- 10:26Speaker 2: I think he stole his wallet guy.
- 10:28Speaker 1: I love how excited you are about this.
- 10:31Speaker 2: He didn't have a name. He was just, I mean,
- 10:32Speaker 2: I don't remember the actor's name.
- 10:34Speaker 1: The actual line was the line that he just said.
- 10:36Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 10:37Speaker 1: The man has an actual name. Three things you need
- 10:41Speaker 1: to know.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Okay, let's go.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Just after 7 o'clock on this Tuesday morning, Ricky Sanchez
- 10:46Speaker 3: has those three things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 10:48Speaker 2: What's happening, Ricky?
- 10:50Speaker 1: It's official. Jay-Z is going to perform the Super Bowl
- 10:54Speaker 1: halftime show. I told you about the rumors a week
- 10:56Speaker 1: or two ago, and now they're true. Lots of mixed
- 10:59Speaker 1: thoughts on this one coming from NFL fans, a lot
- 11:01Speaker 1: of people who are really pumped, some that don't like
- 11:04Speaker 1: that he picked himself as a performer since he's the
- 11:06Speaker 1: halftime curator. But this kind of makes sense right now.
- 11:09Speaker 1: He just finished the Jay-Z 30 tour, celebrating the 30th
- 11:12Speaker 1: anniversary of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt. I mean, the
- 11:15Speaker 1: guy's got nothing but hits. Nothing but hits, though.
- 11:23Speaker 2: I think it's a great choice.
- 11:24Speaker 1: I love it, too. I'm not mad about it at all.
- 11:26Speaker 1: I mean, you also got to think about the fact that, yes,
- 11:29Speaker 1: he is the curator. He didn't do this the first
- 11:32Speaker 1: year out the gate. He didn't pick himself the year
- 11:34Speaker 1: that Apple put him in that position. He took his time.
- 11:37Speaker 1: He picked a lot of other artists who he thought
- 11:39Speaker 1: were better fit for that job.
- 11:41Speaker 2: At the time.
- 11:42Speaker 1: And now it's his time. And I think that that's fair.
- 11:44Speaker 1: You know what I mean?
- 11:45Speaker 2: The idea that.
- 11:45Speaker 1: Because he's the curator means he could never do the
- 11:47Speaker 1: halftime show would mean he would have to step down
- 11:50Speaker 1: from doing that in order for a shot. It just
- 11:52Speaker 1: doesn't make sense to me. You know what I mean?
- 11:54Speaker 1: I'm not mad about this at all. And I'm really
- 11:56Speaker 1: excited to see who he brings out. Obviously, everybody's hoping
- 11:59Speaker 1: for Beyonce.
- 12:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Obviously. I want to see Nas personally.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Oh, that's cool.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:04Speaker 1: I think that would just be so great. I am
- 12:06Speaker 1: really pumped about this personally. The most mispronounced word in
- 12:12Speaker 1: Tennessee is actually a town in Tennessee, which I thought
- 12:15Speaker 1: was really interesting. A team from Unscrambler analyzed Google Trends,
- 12:19Speaker 1: all the data from that from January 1st to October
- 12:22Speaker 1: 20th for phrases like how do you pronounce and pronunciation of.
- 12:26Speaker 1: And Sevierville is the number one most mispronounced word in Tennessee.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Really?
- 12:31Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess a lot of people after Dolly and
- 12:33Speaker 1: everything that happened when she passed away started to really
- 12:36Speaker 1: look into how you would actually pronounce Sevierville.
- 12:39Speaker 2: That makes sense.
- 12:40Speaker 1: But that's the actual pronunciation. And I double checked to
- 12:43Speaker 1: make sure that I wasn't crazy. So I am saying
- 12:45Speaker 1: it correctly. And nationwide, by the way, the top mispronounced
- 12:50Speaker 1: words were Worcestershire sauce and gyro. Because a lot of
- 12:54Speaker 1: people say gyro. It's gyro. So those are the two
- 12:58Speaker 1: across the country that everybody mispronounced. And people are reselling
- 13:02Speaker 1: the foldable iPhone for a ridiculous amount of money. We
- 13:05Speaker 1: knew this was going to happen. The iPhone Duo was
- 13:08Speaker 1: released last Friday. It sold out immediately. Back orders have
- 13:11Speaker 1: been pushed into late January of next year. They're going
- 13:14Speaker 1: for $ 15, 000 on places like eBay. Far too much money
- 13:21Speaker 1: for a phone, let alone one that already is experiencing
- 13:24Speaker 1: screen issues and problems folding properly. So please do not
- 13:28Speaker 1: go crazy for this. You do not need to spend $ 15, 000
- 13:30Speaker 1: on this phone. I promise you. I'm Ricky Sanchez, and
- 13:34Speaker 1: those are the three things you need to know.
- 13:35Speaker 2: That's crazy. Thank you, Ricky.
- 13:37Speaker 3: We're going to play Stella Lefty right here, another one
- 13:39Speaker 3: of our jingle ball artists, and then we are going
- 13:41Speaker 3: to learn together Zach's Facts.
- 13:43Speaker 2: On a train.
- 13:44Speaker 4: Next.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Class is in session.
- 13:47Speaker 4: Zach's Facts, brought to you by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 13:50Speaker 4: On 107.5 The River.
- 13:53Speaker 5: Okay, guys, I'm a sportsy gal today. So the World
- 13:56Speaker 5: Series is going on right now, and the Milwaukee Brewers
- 13:59Speaker 5: are up 3-0. That's how many games they've won. Tonight
- 14:02Speaker 5: is game four, okay? I just thought this was a
- 14:05Speaker 5: really fun fact, is our Nashville Sounds are actually the
- 14:08Speaker 5: AAA affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers.
- 14:11Speaker 4: I love that.
- 14:11Speaker 1: That's true.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Man, the Brewers are awesome.
- 14:14Speaker 3: Unstoppable right now they had an eight run inning last
- 14:17Speaker 3: night that is very cool Zach that Nashville is their
- 14:20Speaker 3: home away from home yeah.
- 14:21Speaker 5: So hopefully they win tonight and that we throw a
- 14:24Speaker 5: party here wouldn't that be fun I love a party
- 14:27Speaker 5: there's your.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Fact of the day Zach's like I'm into sports if
- 14:30Speaker 1: there's a.
- 14:31Speaker 3: Party our sports reporter Zach thank you buddy Ricky, Zach,
- 14:36Speaker 3: and Mano in the morning.
- 14:38Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River.
- 14:39Speaker 3: We are trying to fill every evening with Halloween-related activities
- 14:43Speaker 3: in my household. Tonight is pumpkin carving night.
- 14:45Speaker 2: It's 107.5 The River. I'm excited about that.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Cute.
- 14:49Speaker 3: But Ricky's got a list of things to do. Really
- 14:51Speaker 3: cool Halloween-related activities around Middle Tennessee.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Just a few ideas for you. We want to hear
- 14:56Speaker 1: your ideas, too, anything that I may have missed. But
- 14:58Speaker 1: the Country Music Hall of Fame is doing a Halloween
- 15:01Speaker 1: Hootenanny on Saturday for the whole family.
- 15:04Speaker 2: What happens at the Hootenanny?
- 15:06Speaker 1: Lots of little spooky activities for everybody. Obviously, dressing up
- 15:09Speaker 1: is encouraged for these things. But it's just supposed to
- 15:12Speaker 1: be a very family-friendly, fun time during the day. I
- 15:16Speaker 1: want to go to a Hootenanny. I know. There's something
- 15:19Speaker 1: about Hootenanny that, like, it just sounds fun.
- 15:22Speaker 2: There's not a more fun word.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Like it's a fun word for a fun thing. Cheekwood,
- 15:27Speaker 1: they're doing their Harvest Festival. So that's happening right now.
- 15:29Speaker 1: If you don't want to do something that's Halloween per
- 15:32Speaker 1: se during the day and you want to do something
- 15:34Speaker 1: fall activity wise, that's a good option for you either
- 15:37Speaker 1: for Saturday or Sunday. And I highly suggest buying tickets
- 15:41Speaker 1: ahead of time because AJ and I tried to go
- 15:44Speaker 1: two weekends ago and it was jam-packed with people and
- 15:47Speaker 1: full by the time we got there because we did
- 15:49Speaker 1: not pre-buy our tickets. So buy your tickets if you
- 15:52Speaker 1: plan to do that. Also, lots of cute pop-up bars
- 15:55Speaker 1: if you want to make your own bar crawl with friends.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Love's Alibi in the Gulch is doing a ghosted theme,
- 16:00Speaker 1: which is really cute. They have, like, all of these
- 16:03Speaker 1: scary ghosted stories, like dating stories.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Oh, that's adorable.
- 16:07Speaker 1: All along the walls in the hallway. They have a
- 16:10Speaker 1: whole little area where you can buy a shot for
- 16:12Speaker 1: your favorite ghost. And if the ghost doesn't come to
- 16:14Speaker 1: get the shot, you can redeem the shot later, which
- 16:17Speaker 1: I thought was really cute. You could buy a shot
- 16:20Speaker 1: for Casper. And if Casper never shows up for a shot,
- 16:24Speaker 1: you get a shot later. It's such a cute idea.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Chopper Tiki is doing Hulaween. They do this every year.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I am obsessed with it. They have phenomenal drinks at
- 16:32Speaker 1: Chopper Tiki if you've never been. And Pearl Diver is
- 16:35Speaker 1: doing Dead Man's Cove, which looks really cool as well.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Those are just a few options that you have.
- 16:39Speaker 5: A lot of.
- 16:40Speaker 1: Bars around Nashville are doing pop-ups. and Halloween themes, so
- 16:43Speaker 1: you can really make a whole bar crawl.
- 16:45Speaker 4: Out of it. Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 16:48Speaker 1: On 107.5 The River. We are about to play Kevin
- 16:51Speaker 1: Mano's Game of the Day, presented by Genesis Diamonds on 107.5
- 16:54Speaker 1: The River. We got tickets to Steeplechase next year, May 8th,
- 16:59Speaker 1: at Percy Warner Park.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Yeah, we're playing Horror for Horsies, because it's Halloween week.
- 17:04Speaker 3: It's a scary movie quiz all week. Robbie and Mount Juliet,
- 17:07Speaker 3: how you feeling, bro?
- 17:09Speaker 5: I'm feeling good. I love scary movies, so I had
- 17:11Speaker 5: to jump in on that.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I think you're going to ace this.
- 17:14Speaker 3: Yeah, today's is actually kind of themed, too.
- 17:17Speaker 2: I'll tell you the theme when we get to the.
- 17:18Speaker 4: End of it.
- 17:19Speaker 3: But you need two out of three of them right.
- 17:22Speaker 3: Two out of three of these questions right, and you're going.
- 17:23Speaker 2: To steeplechase, okay? All right.
- 17:26Speaker 3: Horror for Horses is your game, and it starts right now.
- 17:30Speaker 4: Giddy up.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Giddy up.
- 17:31Speaker 5: Oh, gosh.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Question number one, Robbie.
- 17:37Speaker 3: What classic Stephen King novel was recently released as an
- 17:41Speaker 3: eight-episode TV series on Amazon Prime?
- 17:47Speaker 2: Carrie. Carrie is correct.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Nice job. Way to go.
- 17:52Speaker 2: Question two. You get this right, you win.
- 17:55Speaker 3: Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Stu Mocker are all characters
- 17:59Speaker 3: in what movie franchise?
- 18:02Speaker 4: I just watched this movie the other night.
- 18:05Speaker 3: Scream.
- 18:05Speaker 4: Yeah! Yeah!
- 18:08Speaker 1: My favorite horror movie I love.
- 18:10Speaker 3: Scream the third question I had ready for you was
- 18:13Speaker 3: an animatronic bear is the face of a pizzeria in
- 18:15Speaker 3: what horror films do you know that one.
- 18:18Speaker 5: Five Nights at Freddy's.
- 18:19Speaker 2: You didn't need it, but you got it.
- 18:21Speaker 3: And the theme there would be that Matthew Lillard is
- 18:23Speaker 3: in all of those movies and TV shows.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Congrats, Robbie.
- 18:27Speaker 1: You absolutely crushed it. I am impressed. We love somebody
- 18:31Speaker 1: who loves their horror movies.
- 18:33Speaker 3: Oh, I never get enough of them.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Great job, dude.
- 18:35Speaker 3: You're going to steeplechase with all the horsies.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Thank you for being here.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Thanks for starting your morning with Ricky, Zach, and Mano
- 18:42Speaker 3: in the morning.
- 18:43Speaker 2: I always like starting with you guys.
- 18:45Speaker 1: Aw, thank you, Robbie.
- 18:45Speaker 2: Thank you, friend.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Hang on the line for a sec, okay? Okay.
- 18:49Speaker 3: Is Matthew Lillard, like, the king of horror? I would
- 18:51Speaker 3: say it's, like, him or Justin Long, maybe. Justin Long's
- 18:53Speaker 3: in a ton of stuff, too.
- 18:55Speaker 1: You know, all I know is that Ski Ulrich and
- 18:58Speaker 1: Matthew Lillard are the husbands of horror, is what a
- 19:00Speaker 1: lot of people call them.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Because there's this whole, you know, idea that they were
- 19:04Speaker 1: actually in love with each other in Scream.
- 19:06Speaker 2: I've never heard that theory.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Oh, yeah, that's a whole theory. So they call them
- 19:10Speaker 1: the husbands of horror.
- 19:10Speaker 4: Whoa. Three things you need to know. Here we go.
- 19:14Speaker 3: Just after 8 o'clock. Glad you're here with us. It's
- 19:16Speaker 3: going to be a great day. Ricky's got those three
- 19:18Speaker 3: things presented by Mark Spain Real Estate.
- 19:20Speaker 1: We now know who people's sexiest man alive is. Noah
- 19:23Speaker 1: Wiley was announced as the sexiest man alive for 2026.
- 19:27Speaker 1: You know Noah as Dr. Robbie in the pit and Dr.
- 19:29Speaker 1: John Carter on ER. He said he was surprised when
- 19:33Speaker 1: he heard that he was chosen. He felt like it
- 19:35Speaker 1: was a prank and followed it up with the fact
- 19:37Speaker 1: that his friends and family will definitely be making fun
- 19:39Speaker 1: of him for it, which seems to be a common
- 19:41Speaker 1: thing amongst the men that are chosen. They do have
- 19:45Speaker 1: to accept this once they are chosen, and he did accept.
- 19:50Speaker 1: so he knew what was coming with that.
- 19:51Speaker 2: I wonder if anyone's ever turned it down.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I think a lot of people have turned it down. Yeah,
- 19:55Speaker 1: and I think the main reason is because they think
- 19:57Speaker 1: they're going to get ripped by their friends and family
- 20:00Speaker 1: about it. But I think, what does it matter? It's
- 20:03Speaker 1: a fun little thing. This is the 41st year of
- 20:05Speaker 1: People's Sexiest Man Alive, which is kind of wild to
- 20:08Speaker 1: think about. The first one was crowned in 1985 to
- 20:11Speaker 1: Mel Gibson. Pretty wild when you think about that. Tennessee
- 20:16Speaker 1: state forestry officials are asking residents to collect acorns from
- 20:20Speaker 1: their backyards. They're worried about the white oak trees. New
- 20:23Speaker 1: growth has declined nationally, including here in Tennessee's forests. So
- 20:28Speaker 1: seed suppliers can't meet the needs of the state nursery.
- 20:31Speaker 1: So they're asking for help from you so that they
- 20:34Speaker 1: can make sure that their restoration projects are actually up
- 20:37Speaker 1: to par. So they're asking residents to collect them from
- 20:40Speaker 1: their backyards and send them in to be used. There's
- 20:43Speaker 1: directions on how to store and send in the right
- 20:45Speaker 1: acorns on tnforestry.com. It's not that hard to do. And
- 20:51Speaker 1: it's really helpful because they also say the ones that
- 20:52Speaker 1: you find in your backyards grow better trees than the
- 20:56Speaker 1: ones that they actually get from the supplier. So this
- 20:58Speaker 1: is a better way of doing it. And I can
- 21:01Speaker 1: really just help out our forests. And Zach, I know
- 21:05Speaker 1: you're really pumped about this.
- 21:06Speaker 4: What, what, what?
- 21:07Speaker 1: Jimmy John's Pickle Witch is back. They're adding more pickle
- 21:11Speaker 1: vibes to the mix this time around. If you don't
- 21:12Speaker 1: know what the Pickle Witch is, it's a sandwich, but
- 21:14Speaker 1: instead of bread, it's pickles.
- 21:16Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 21:17Speaker 1: It's pickles instead of bread, because who doesn't love pickles?
- 21:20Speaker 1: So along with the Pickle Witch sandwich, they now have
- 21:22Speaker 1: pickle-flavored Jimmy Chips as well. You can get the triple
- 21:25Speaker 1: pickle meal. which includes any of the six options for
- 21:29Speaker 1: pickle witch as well as the pickle jimmy chips and
- 21:32Speaker 1: a mystery pickle pal i said so many p's.
- 21:35Speaker 3: It's starting to lose its meaning to me the word
- 21:37Speaker 3: pickle is no longer a word.
- 21:39Speaker 1: The pickle pal are these tiny little plush keychains of
- 21:42Speaker 1: different characters i really want the lulu one but they're
- 21:45Speaker 1: all mysteries so you have.
- 21:46Speaker 5: To like open up and see which one you have
- 21:47Speaker 5: i want a pickle pal so.
- 21:49Speaker 1: I want a pickle pal and i need lulu so that.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Is how are you guys talking about.
- 21:55Speaker 5: It's a little squishy that goes under your key chain.
- 21:57Speaker 2: It's a pickle.
- 21:57Speaker 1: It's a plushy pickle. They all have names, obviously. And
- 22:01Speaker 1: when you get the triple pickle meal, you can get
- 22:03Speaker 1: a pickle pal.
- 22:04Speaker 2: I feel crazy.
- 22:06Speaker 1: I'm Ricky Sanchez, and those are the three things you
- 22:08Speaker 1: need to know.
- 22:08Speaker 2: I'm losing my mind.
- 22:10Speaker 3: Hey, it's a Jingle Ball Ticket Tuesday, 840.
- 22:14Speaker 2: Today, coming up in about a half an hour. Another
- 22:17Speaker 2: chance for you to win your Jingle Ball Tickets. We're
- 22:19Speaker 2: doing it every hour.
- 22:20Speaker 1: I had to focus so hard doing that.
- 22:22Speaker 2: It was crazy.
- 22:24Speaker 3: You can win tickets to see this guy, Teddy Swims.
- 22:26Speaker 3: He's going to be there with Alex Warren and Hilary
- 22:28Speaker 3: Duff in One Republic. 8.40, your next chance to win
- 22:31Speaker 3: your Jingle Ball tickets.
- 22:32Speaker 2: On the river.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 22:35Speaker 3: We found out this morning that Noah Wiley from The
- 22:38Speaker 3: Pit and ER has been named People's Sexiest Man Alive.
- 22:41Speaker 2: It's 107.5, the river.
- 22:43Speaker 3: And we were talking about that choice amongst ourselves in here,
- 22:46Speaker 3: and we thought we'd bring it to all y'all.
- 22:48Speaker 1: I think Noah is a great choice, but obviously there
- 22:50Speaker 1: are other picks that I have in mind. And apparently
- 22:53Speaker 1: the two of you are very adamant about your picks
- 22:56Speaker 1: as well.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Oh, mine is definitely the top pick that should have won.
- 23:00Speaker 3: You know, I mean, having a conversation. I'm a straight man,
- 23:03Speaker 3: but I've narrowed it down to my top three.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Oh, you have three? I didn't have one. I'm right
- 23:09Speaker 2: at the top.
- 23:09Speaker 1: You've got three?
- 23:13Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 23:15Speaker 1: The sexiest man alive has been announced. They picked Noel Wiley,
- 23:19Speaker 1: which I think... Great choice. You may know him from
- 23:22Speaker 1: ER or The Pit. He plays Dr. Robbie on The Pit.
- 23:25Speaker 1: And there's something about those characters that's quite attractive. I mean,
- 23:29Speaker 1: he's a good looking guy, but I think it's also
- 23:30Speaker 1: like the character as well. But, you know, some people
- 23:34Speaker 1: are upset about it because they have their own choices.
- 23:36Speaker 1: Kevin has three. We're going to share ours and then
- 23:40Speaker 1: we want to hear from you who you think the
- 23:42Speaker 1: sexiest man alive should have been. I'll kick it off
- 23:45Speaker 1: by saying Marcelo Hernandez. Oh, that's such a moment with
- 23:50Speaker 1: SNL and Domingo and that whole, you know, skit. And
- 23:54Speaker 1: I think he's hilarious because when you're thinking sexiest man alive,
- 23:57Speaker 1: it's not just looks, you know, it's it's a multitude
- 24:00Speaker 1: of different things.
- 24:01Speaker 3: He's still a good looking dude. He's just he's very
- 24:05Speaker 3: funny as well.
- 24:05Speaker 1: There's more that goes into it, though, than just looks.
- 24:08Speaker 1: And I feel like that would have been my choice.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Before we get to Kevin's three, Zach, what was yours?
- 24:14Speaker 5: Mine is hands down the best pick. I don't know
- 24:16Speaker 5: how you guys do not think of this person. Taylor's
- 24:19Speaker 5: a car Perez. So he starred in Red, White and
- 24:23Speaker 5: Royal Blue.
- 24:24Speaker 1: I don't know who that is.
- 24:25Speaker 2: He was also in The Kissing Booth. Oh, uh-huh.
- 24:30Speaker 1: I watched that.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Oh, yes.
- 24:33Speaker 1: Very good looking man.
- 24:34Speaker 2: He is very attractive.
- 24:36Speaker 5: And I just think I follow him on Instagram and
- 24:38Speaker 5: I just wait for his next post.
- 24:40Speaker 3: Oh, I thought you would have gone with one of
- 24:42Speaker 3: the heated rivalry guys, Zach.
- 24:44Speaker 2: No, this man is way more attractive.
- 24:45Speaker 1: I don't think he watched heated rivalry.
- 24:47Speaker 3: I did.
- 24:48Speaker 1: Oh, you did. That's right. We finally got you to
- 24:50Speaker 1: watch it.
- 24:50Speaker 2: I did watch the whole thing.
- 24:52Speaker 5: But yeah, Taylor's a car Perez, but hands down should
- 24:54Speaker 5: have won.
- 24:55Speaker 1: All right, Kevin, who are your top three?
- 24:58Speaker 3: I narrowed it down to three. I thought Harry Styles
- 25:01Speaker 3: would be a good pick. Okay, Harry Styles. He's at
- 25:04Speaker 3: the top of his game right now. He's looking good.
- 25:06Speaker 1: Has been for quite a while.
- 25:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Michael B.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Jordan, I think he had the title a few years ago,
- 25:11Speaker 3: but he should always be in the conversation.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Okay, yes, I love Michael B.
- 25:16Speaker 4: Jordan.
- 25:17Speaker 1: Great choice.
- 25:17Speaker 2: And then sort of a wild card here, but Jeremy
- 25:19Speaker 2: Allen White.
- 25:20Speaker 1: I love Jeremy Allen White. You know how much I
- 25:22Speaker 1: love that man.
- 25:23Speaker 4: I would.
- 25:24Speaker 1: I, yes, 100% agree with you. Okay, here's the thing.
- 25:27Speaker 5: You said a lot more goes into it than just looks,
- 25:29Speaker 5: and I agree with that statement, but, like, his looks
- 25:32Speaker 5: completely derail everything else that he has going for him.
- 25:35Speaker 1: That is not true. That is not true. He's not
- 25:40Speaker 1: like conventionally attractive, but I think he's really good looking.
- 25:45Speaker 2: I would agree with Ricky.
- 25:46Speaker 3: He's a little, you know, I was going to say
- 25:48Speaker 3: unusual looking. That's not nice.
- 25:52Speaker 2: He's different, but it works for him.
- 25:54Speaker 1: I love him. I think he's really attractive. And like
- 25:57Speaker 1: we were talking about swag before. He's got something about,
- 26:00Speaker 1: there's some like je ne sais quoi about him that's
- 26:02Speaker 1: like very, I don't know, alluring and interesting and like,
- 26:07Speaker 1: would deem him sexiest man alive i think.
- 26:10Speaker 3: Yeah yeah okay now we want to hear from you
- 26:12Speaker 3: 615-737-9107 who would you put on that cover give that
- 26:17Speaker 3: title to do you agree with any of us you
- 26:19Speaker 3: have three if you've got three yeah join the club
- 26:22Speaker 3: 615-737-9107 1075 the river it's.
- 26:26Speaker 2: Taylor Swift, it's the river.
- 26:28Speaker 3: We've been talking about people's sexiest man alive. We found
- 26:30Speaker 3: out this morning that Noah Wiley is the recipient of
- 26:34Speaker 3: that honor this time around. Jessica and Louis Berg, we
- 26:37Speaker 3: were going around giving some of our opinions. Who would
- 26:39Speaker 3: you like to see get that title?
- 26:42Speaker 1: Oh, totally John Jungkook from BTS. He should have won 100%. Okay,
- 26:48Speaker 1: I know a lot of people love BTS. Obviously, we're
- 26:51Speaker 1: fans of BTS as well. I guess, yeah, that would work.
- 26:55Speaker 2: I think so. I'm looking at pictures. Yeah, I'm not
- 26:57Speaker 2: mad about this choice.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Is he, I mean, I should know this, you know,
- 27:00Speaker 3: working in radio, and I've met all the BTS guys,
- 27:02Speaker 3: but is he like the leader of the group? Would
- 27:04Speaker 3: he be like the Justin Timberlake of the group?
- 27:06Speaker 5: No, he's the youngest out of them. He's the youngest
- 27:09Speaker 5: out of all seven.
- 27:10Speaker 1: Oh, I didn't know that. But I mean, I'm not
- 27:12Speaker 1: mad about this choice at all. I would vote for
- 27:15Speaker 1: him as well.
- 27:16Speaker 2: The lip ring?
- 27:17Speaker 5: I would vote for any one of the seven.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I wonder if they would ever do something like that,
- 27:24Speaker 1: like make it an entire group. And make it like
- 27:27Speaker 1: sexiest men alive as opposed to just one singular person.
- 27:31Speaker 1: I'm kind of in for like choosing all of BTS.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Just the entire group is the sexiest men alive.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yeah, that'd be cool. That'd be different.
- 27:38Speaker 1: I like that idea. I had a feeling you would, Jessica.
- 27:41Speaker 1: We need to write a strongly worded letter to whom
- 27:45Speaker 1: it may concern.
- 27:45Speaker 4: Deal.
- 27:46Speaker 1: Zach loves doing that. Take it to Congress.
- 27:48Speaker 2: Take it all the way to Congress.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Thank you so much for calling in, Jessica. We hope
- 27:54Speaker 1: you have a great day. Thank you.
- 27:55Speaker 2: You too.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Bye, love.
- 27:57Speaker 3: Let's play Nickelback and then we will give you a
- 27:59Speaker 3: chance to win tickets to see Nickelback and the rest
- 28:02Speaker 3: of the Jingle Ball lineup. Alex Warren, Hilary Duff, Teddy Swims,
- 28:05Speaker 3: Wonder Public, all of them. There is another keyword coming right.
- 28:08Speaker 2: After the song.
- 28:09Speaker 3: It's Jingle Ball Ticket Tuesday.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Your chance to win next.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning.
- 28:14Speaker 3: It's word of the day time here. It's 107.5. The River, Ricky, Zach,
- 28:18Speaker 3: and Mano's word of the day. Ricky is up today.
- 28:20Speaker 3: What you got for us?
- 28:22Speaker 1: The word of the day is confabulate.
- 28:26Speaker 2: Ooh, confabulate.
- 28:29Speaker 3: I think it's like to make, to embellish a story
- 28:31Speaker 3: and make it really fun.
- 28:32Speaker 2: That's my definition of the word.
- 28:34Speaker 1: Zach, what do you think?
- 28:35Speaker 2: Can you use it in a sentence, please?
- 28:37Speaker 1: I can, but first I'm going to say there's a
- 28:40Speaker 1: plot twist to this word.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Okay.
- 28:42Speaker 1: It has two meanings.
- 28:44Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 28:46Speaker 1: So here's one sentence. Zach attempted to confabulate the date
- 28:51Speaker 1: Ricky Zaccomano in the morning started.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Okay, so he attempted to confabulate the date. Zach has
- 28:57Speaker 3: always gotten that date wrong.
- 28:58Speaker 2: He always told us the wrong date. So like, not necessarily.
- 29:03Speaker 5: Lie, but like, I can't think of the description that
- 29:07Speaker 5: I'm thinking of.
- 29:08Speaker 2: Confabulate the date.
- 29:11Speaker 4: Change?
- 29:11Speaker 2: Makeup?
- 29:14Speaker 1: Okay, change. So, Kevin, you were onto something before. So,
- 29:16Speaker 1: to confabulate is to create a false memory by filling
- 29:19Speaker 1: in memory gaps with fabrications.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 29:22Speaker 1: So, it was kind of there, but not exactly. But
- 29:25Speaker 1: pretty much, like, you create your own memories because you're
- 29:28Speaker 1: filling in blanks is to confabulate.
- 29:30Speaker 2: I like it. And we all do it.
- 29:32Speaker 3: The the memory the human memory is very flawed we.
- 29:36Speaker 1: Can fabulate all the time but there is another definition
- 29:40Speaker 1: as well and i'll give you a sentence and see
- 29:42Speaker 1: if you guys can get this one okay kevin hates
- 29:44Speaker 1: to confabulate talk to.
- 29:46Speaker 2: People okay on.
- 29:48Speaker 4: To something there.
- 29:49Speaker 5: Zach oh kevin hates to confabulate drive slow.
- 29:56Speaker 1: So the older meaning is that people, and people still
- 29:59Speaker 1: use it, but to confabulate is to talk informally or
- 30:02Speaker 1: to chat.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Kevin hates to confabulate.
- 30:06Speaker 2: He hates small talk. I like it at work. I
- 30:08Speaker 2: like it when we're here and we talk to people.
- 30:10Speaker 2: That's fun. But going through life.
- 30:11Speaker 1: Outside of here, not your favorite thing, Kevdom. So yeah,
- 30:15Speaker 1: plot twist. Two different meanings for confabulate.
- 30:18Speaker 2: I like them both. That's a good word.
- 30:19Speaker 3: It's so strange that it would have two vastly different meanings.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Very different meanings. Yeah, yeah. It's also just fun to say, confabulate.
- 30:27Speaker 2: Confabulate. It is fun. Thank you, Ricky. Good word. We're
- 30:30Speaker 2: doing it again tomorrow. Tomorrow's my pick. I'll have a
- 30:32Speaker 2: brand new word tomorrow for the word of the day.
- 30:34Speaker 4: Ricky, Zach, and Mano in the morning. On 107.5 The River.
