- 0:05Welcome to Have Faith, Let It Begin. This is Ariel Santana.
- 0:09Can you believe I'm seven years old already? I'm old enough now to introduce my dad.
- 0:15Ladies and gentlemen, your host, my dad, Angel Santana.
- 0:22Two thousand came and the spark was lit. A testimony raw, it wouldn't quit.
- 0:27It's mother's voice, a guiding thread.
- 0:54Hello, everyone, and don't adjust your TV sets. Don't adjust your volume.
- 0:59Don't adjust anything because this is not prerecorded.
- 1:02This is not something from the past. This is a brand new episode off the heels
- 1:07of Mother's Day weekend.
- 1:09First and foremost, happy Mother's Day to every single mother out there.
- 1:13And I know that my guest, co-host, and best friend in the whole world,
- 1:17Dr. E, will also add to that.
- 1:20And Dr. E, I'll let you get started with a hello, hello, and then I'll surprise
- 1:24you what today's episode's all about. Dr. E, I missed you, buddy.
- 1:27Oh, I missed you too. And I missed all my friends here at Have Faith.
- 1:31Sorry I've been out of the loop.
- 1:33God bless you all. Happy Mother's Day. And what a wonderful,
- 1:36wonderful, wonderful holiday it is to honor our mothers,
- 1:40you know, everything down from the Madonna, Jesus's mom, all the way down to
- 1:44our moms and to our wives, our children's moms, and to moms everywhere,
- 1:50right? This is a, it's a great holiday.
- 1:52And it doesn't, you don't have to have, you know, a two-legged child to be celebrated.
- 1:58You could have four-legged children.
- 2:00You would be a great, you know, dog or cat or,
- 2:04parakeet mom or whatever you happen to be, we wish you a happy Mother's Day as well.
- 2:09Angel, you have one of the nicest moms I ever met, Lucy, and you are married
- 2:13to one of the greatest women I ever met, Rachel.
- 2:16So you got your hands full tomorrow there, buddy.
- 2:18Oh, tell me about it. And I, and I, you know, my echo, the same sentiments to
- 2:23you, the greatest podcast host of, on the record of Crock Podcast,
- 2:27Denise, we will have to air that episode one day, inside joke.
- 2:31But no, listen, I agree with you. It's a very, very promising day and a promising.
- 2:36I celebrate Mother's Day every day. I'm sure you do too, in our hearts,
- 2:40in our souls. But listen.
- 2:41Oh, Angel Lee, I do have a very practical question. Sure.
- 2:46How does a man celebrate his wife on Mother's Day when his wife owns a jewelry store?
- 2:53So that's kind of a tough one because you can't really, you know,
- 2:58what are you going to do? You can't buy her jewelry, brother.
- 3:02I got it solved. I can tell you what is after 20 years, it's called yes, dear.
- 3:08I love you, dear. And would you like a back massage, dear? That is how I went.
- 3:14There you go. That's it. So listen, we can talk about mother's day,
- 3:18but you know what? Let's be honest.
- 3:24Mother's Day, Mother's Day, but I wanted to not worry too much about mothers today.
- 3:29And I'll tell you why, because tomorrow I will be airing the service that I
- 3:33did yesterday called Your Special and it's dedicated to all mothers.
- 3:37So we're going to pause Mother's Day because I want to celebrate another celebration
- 3:42that I couldn't do because I haven't had this person on the air.
- 3:47And it's titled, What Makes a Best Friend a Best Friend?
- 3:53And this is dedicated to Dr. E because he didn't even know I've been waiting to do this.
- 4:00So he has to sit back and listen, and then I'll let him have his final word.
- 4:06Today's episode on Have Faith, Let It Begin is something that I wanted to do
- 4:11very special and personal. because today and this month of April,
- 4:16which was when I wanted to do it, is Dr. E's birthday.
- 4:20And I wanted to dedicate this episode to him because not just because he happens
- 4:25to be my best friend, but because friendships like this are very rare.
- 4:31And gifts, they're very, very rare and from gifts that we call from God.
- 4:37What makes a best friend a best friend? I think a best friend is someone you can trust.
- 4:43Someone you can call when life feels out of the norm or devastating or heavy
- 4:50or just dealing with issues.
- 4:52Someone who celebrates your victories like they were their own.
- 4:56A best friend is someone that God places in your path for a reason.
- 5:03Sometimes they begin as strangers and somehow over the time,
- 5:08through conversations,
- 5:10through laughter, through difficult moments, They share journeys and life experiences
- 5:15They become family God has always found a way God has a way of bringing people
- 5:22together Exactly when we need them most,
- 5:26A best friend reminds you that you're not walking through life alone.
- 5:31They challenge you. They encourage you. They pray for you.
- 5:35They laugh with you. And sometimes they even help carry you when your faith feels tired.
- 5:41Dr. E, thank you for being that kind of friend to me.
- 5:45Thank you for your laughs, the conversations, the support, and the memories
- 5:50that you continue to create with me.
- 5:53I personally thank God for our friendships. And I pray that this next year of
- 5:59your life is filled with peace, with joy, with strength, and countless blessings.
- 6:05And to everyone listening today.
- 6:08Cherish the people that you have God has placed in your life.
- 6:13Real friendship is a blessing that should never be taken for granted.
- 6:17Happy birthday, Dr. E. And remember that no matter what you're going through
- 6:21in life, never lose hope because Angel will always be by your side.
- 6:27That was dedicated to you.
- 6:29The show now begins. What is the best friend of you, my friend?
- 6:32Angel, there are no words I can say right now. If I had a mic,
- 6:35I would drop it right now. That was one of the nicest things anyone's ever done for me.
- 6:40And I feel exactly the same way about you. You're my family. You're my brother.
- 6:45And, you know, I hope you know that I would do the same for you.
- 6:48I feel the same way that you would be there for me.
- 6:51So we're going to just, whatever he said, I say.
- 6:55He's stumped. Listen, real quick, let's do this. Because I did catch him off guard.
- 7:01Yesterday's episode that you aired was phenomenal. And it's about birthdays.
- 7:05This is how it all got stemmed.
- 7:07And you talk about how a cancer patient, you know, deals with a birthday.
- 7:12And I think everyone really should go back and listen to it.
- 7:15I think everyone needs to.
- 7:16We're going to put the link in the description because if you want,
- 7:19why don't you give them a 30 second little intro as to what they're going to
- 7:23or they have missed, but they have a chance to go listen to it because that show was phenomenal.
- 7:27Yeah. And I think this actually applies not just to survivors of cancer,
- 7:31but, you know, survivors of life, right? Right.
- 7:33Survivors of, you know, there are many of our people who listen to Have Faith,
- 7:37Let It Begin because they need this podcast of hope. They might feel hopeless.
- 7:42They might feel that life is just, you know.
- 7:46Has, has, has them by the throat and they're just getting tossed around and
- 7:51they're depressed and the they're demoralized and they need our Lord to uplift them.
- 7:57And they, and our Lord gave them you angel to help with that process.
- 8:01So it's about not feeling bad.
- 8:05If you don't feel like celebrating, you know, I think everyone around you wants
- 8:10you to celebrate your birthday and they want you to be happy and joyful.
- 8:14And sometimes it's just not the way you feel. Sometimes you have a cross that
- 8:19you're bearing, that you're carrying about a specific work problem or a family
- 8:24problem, or you're in crisis.
- 8:26And that's okay not to feel like celebrating.
- 8:30But at the same time, what Angel and I did want to share with everyone,
- 8:35and this applies to everyone, not just cancer survivors, is you do need to find
- 8:39a way to express that gratitude of your life, that God gave you a life and that
- 8:45you're grateful for your life.
- 8:46So it doesn't have to be balloons. It doesn't have to be cakes and candles.
- 8:50It doesn't have to be presence.
- 8:53It just has to be you being present in your life and observing your life and
- 8:59then being able to glorify your life in some way. It could be a quiet moment.
- 9:03It could be a deep breath. It could be a walk in nature. It could be dinner with a loved one.
- 9:09It could be writing down a phrase of gratitude in your journal. It doesn't matter.
- 9:16So celebrate you the way you want to celebrate.
- 9:21Yeah, well said. And I totally agree with that. Let's close out with a prayer.
- 9:25We hope that everyone enjoys.
- 9:27And real quick programming note, dad is doing well. He is home.
- 9:31He was home on the weekend.
- 9:32And thank you for your thoughts and prayers to everyone. You know,
- 9:35he was a good successful surgery and no updates yet on the woodchuck.
- 9:39I'm sure that we will continue on. As everyone knows, last week was a complete
- 9:43saga, four episodes of the woodchuck.
- 9:46So we still have part five and chapter nine still coming through. All right, let's pray.
- 9:51Heavenly Father, today we come before you with grateful hearts.
- 9:54Lord, thank you for the gift of friendship.
- 9:56Thank you for the people you placed in our lives just the right moment.
- 10:01People who encourage us, strengthen us, laugh with us, pray with us,
- 10:04and remind us that we're never alone.
- 10:07Today, Lord, I specifically and especially lift up my good friend, Dr.
- 10:11E, on his birthday. Father, thank you for his life, his heart,
- 10:15his kindness, and the impact he has on the people around him.
- 10:20Continue to bless him with good health, peace of mind, wisdom,
- 10:24strength, and joy, and open doors for him that no one can close and remind him
- 10:28daily how loved and appreciated he truly is.
- 10:32Lord, bless every listener today as well. Help us to value the friendship that you've given us.
- 10:38Tell us to be loyal, compassionate, trustworthy, and present for one another.
- 10:43In a world where so many people feel alone, help us become the kind of friend
- 10:48that reflects your love.
- 10:50And Father, for everyone listening who may feel isolated or forgotten,
- 10:54remind them tonight that you are near and send the right people into their lives.
- 11:00Surround them with the encouragement, the hope, and genuine connection.
- 11:04So we thank you for the laughter, the memories.
- 11:08And thank you for the shared journeys. We thank you for this beautiful reminder
- 11:12that friendship itself is one of our greatest blessings.
- 11:15In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
- 11:18May God be with you. May he shine his light upon you and grant each and every
- 11:21one of you a peace on earth.
- 11:23And on behalf of Dr. E and myself, never forget.
- 11:26Faith, let it begin, baby. Take care.
