- 0:15Welcome to Peace True Strength.
- 0:17I'm Lieutenant Commander Steven Rogers, United States Navy retired.
- 0:22Presently the executive director of the association of the United States Navy.
- 0:28Well, let's face it, folks, we're involved in a war that we're winning.
- 0:32We're involved in a war that was necessary.
- 0:35We're involved in a war that will secure the Mideast, I believe, uh to the degree of bringing much stability to that region of the world, as well as uh ensure that the Iranians will not obtain a nuclear weapon, which, in my view, and the view of many, many others would use it against Israel and the United States if they obtained it.
- 0:56Now, saying that, I believe that we need to address something here that's been going on that not has that has not been talked about very much, especially through the mainstream media, and that is how soon many of the leaders of this country have forgotten.
- 1:12And I'll get into that specifically in a few minutes, how soon they have forgotten.
- 1:18Now, many of you know, because I've repeated it over and over again, that I tell it like it is, that I'll call people out, I'll call leaders out.
- 1:28I'll let the people of this uh broadcast who are listening, know and understand that I do tell it like it is, because we need leaders who are going to stand up and tell it like it is.
- 1:40Uh, and one of the things that I wish to convey to you today, and I believe many of you feel this way, I'm sick and tired.
- 1:48I am sick and tired of many leaders in this country, especially on a federal level, of them criticizing the president of the United States, the congressional representatives who are supporting our military, criticizing the Department of War, and in fact, trickling their criticisms down even to our fighting forces, the men and women who put the uniform of the armed forces of the United States on and sacrificing their lives for us.
- 2:19And that is exactly what they're doing.
- 2:21They'll deny that.
- 2:22Now, as I speak to you today, there are hearings, there are commissions, there are congressional investigations going on that have absolutely nothing to add value to the efforts of the United States of America against this evil, evil empire that we now see, thank goodness, uh being destroyed in the Mideast, namely Iran.
- 2:51But the hearings will go on, the critics will continue running to the microphones of the mainstream media, finding every bit of fault they could dig up.
- 3:02And if they can't dig fault up and find it, they'll invent it, believe me.
- 3:05They'll create a narrative that make the White House, the Department of War, the Navy Department, uh, the Department of Homeland Security and others, they will do everything they could to make things look pretty bad.
- 3:18And I've got to tell you, what disturbs me is that they have forgotten what Iran has done to people worldwide, what they have particularly done to us.
- 3:29This war was not created by the United States of America.
- 3:32This war was in the making decades ago, as I'll share with you in a few minutes.
- 3:38We finally have leaders in this country from the White House to the Department of War, Department of Homeland Security, our Justice Department.
- 3:47Hey, all hands on deck, folks.
- 3:50And now I'm happy to say, contrary to what the mainstream media and others want you to believe, that the American people stand firmly and strong behind the policies that are now being executed by the United States government with regard to the Iranian regime.
- 4:08But unfortunately, yep, we've got leaders in this country who forgot, and they're out there mouthing off all sorts of things uh for their own political gain, looking to advance a political agenda, looking to embolden and strengthen a political party uh for their own political survival.
- 4:28And then we have those out there, thank God Almighty, who are standing up for this country, who are supporting the policies that are now being executed by the Department of War, the President of the United States, the United States Navy Coast Guard, and all the other branches of the armed forces.
- 4:45But we don't hear much about the positive uh uh things that are being said about this war.
- 4:52Not saying that war is positive, but I think it's a pretty positive uh report that when the United States Navy uh or any branch of our military takes an action and they're very victorious in that action.
- 5:04Well, we need to know that.
- 5:06We'd like to know that.
- 5:07But no, you've got uh those on the left and those individuals who are doing uh more uh seeking their 15 minutes of fame by heaping criticism upon what we're doing.
- 5:19You've got them uh front and center on a lot of these uh so-called news networks.
- 5:26They're no more news networks in America, there's very few.
- 5:30We've got propaganda machines.
- 5:32I remember during the Cold War, you have Pravda, all right.
- 5:34That was a Soviet Union newspaper that was distributed all over the country.
- 5:38Didn't go far, but it was distributed.
- 5:41And then you've got uh all kinds of uh news broadcasts that were uh sympathetic to the Soviet Union, sympathetic to communism.
- 5:50Uh, not many back then, but it was growing.
- 5:53But now today it's a way of life, isn't it?
- 5:55Here in the United States of America.
- 5:56But we're dealing with it.
- 5:58We're dealing with it.
- 5:59But let's get on to uh what these leaders in our country, so-called leaders, by the way, have forgotten.
- 6:07Well, let me say this.
- 6:08It's important for those who are questioning the policy and motives of our country with regard to using United States naval forces and Coast Guard forces and other branches of the United States military against Iran.
- 6:22And I believe it's important for those who are questioning the policy and the motives to remember, because they've forgotten that Iran's naval forces have been involved in repeated aggressive actions at sea against the United States of America and other countries, not for weeks, not for months, but for decades.
- 6:43In fact, I gotta tell you, I find it disturbing that many of our national leaders and others have forgotten the history of Iran's provocations against the United States Navy and other nations on the high seas, and particularly.
- 6:58We could go back to 2015.
- 7:00The United States Navy reported nearly two dozen folks, two dozen incidents involving unsafe and unprofessional conduct by the Iranian Navy.
- 7:10And at the same time, guess what Iran was doing?
- 7:14They were negotiating several deals with the United States regarding their nuclear weapons program.
- 7:20So they're sitting at the table negotiating some sort of an agreement with us, the United States, with reference to their nuclear weapons program, and at the same time provoking us on the high seas by doing unprofessional and unsafe maneuvering of their boats.
- 7:39You go to 2016, year later, all these negotiations.
- 7:43Remember, Iran is famous for that, and we've been famous for letting them slide.
- 7:48Okay, you need another week, another month.
- 7:50In fact, take a couple of years, and we'll come back to the table and we'll talk.
- 7:53In the meantime, the Iranian Navy, uh, in 2016, folks, they're still sitting at that table at the same time, never ceased to use its Navy to harass and threaten and intimidate dozens and dozens of cargo ships from dozens and dozens of nations at sea.
- 8:12In January 2016, their naval forces, hey, this I didn't forget, and I know many of you are going to remember what I'm just about to share with you.
- 8:22Was terrible.
- 8:23It was really terrible.
- 8:25But in 2016, January now, naval forces of the Iranian Navy, they actually detained two U.S.
- 8:32Navy River Rhine boats and 10 U.S.
- 8:35sailors, and they actually detained them, imprisoned them for 15 hours, violated their rights, and they used them as props to embarrass the United States of America and the United States Navy by putting them on public display for the whole world to see.
- 8:52Remember that, some of you remember that.
- 9:16All publicly displayed.
- 9:18Now, instead of sending a very powerful message, I'm talking about our government now.
- 9:23I mean a very powerful message to the government of Iran of what was an unprovoked attack on a U.S.
- 9:30Navy vessels.
- 9:31The President of the United States, Barack Obama back then, and his leadership team did nothing.
- 9:39Absolutely nothing.
- 9:41There were protests by our government, there were committee meetings by Congress, there were hearings, investigations, and nothing was done.
- 9:52Now, this policy of not responding to our enemies, not only was on public display.
- 10:00At that time in January 2016, but was always on display.
- 10:04And because of that particular policy of do nothing, well, many of what the do nothings did not do back then ended up year after year after year.
- 10:16And in part is the reason why we are facing a war with Iran today.
- 10:22The Iranian government, the Iranian Navy concluded over all this time that the United States Navy was weak and could be forced to surrender.
- 10:33That is the conclusion that they got, not as a result of our war fighters.
- 10:38They were strong.
- 10:39They wanted to go in and fight, but as a result of politicians, political leaders.
- 10:46I don't even like to use the word leaders next to their name, because they're not.
- 10:52They're weak, or they've been weak.
- 10:55They certainly haven't shown any strength over the years, over the decades.
- 10:59But our Navy was always strong.
- 11:01Now there were times when we had political leaders in office that uh weakened our military.
- 11:08They weakened our military by introducing DEI type policies.
- 11:12They weakened our military by cutting uh budgets with regard to building ships and on and on and on.
- 11:19They weakened our military by advancing policies of appeasement.
- 11:24And instead of raising the stars and stripes of power and victory, they raised the white flag of surrender.
- 11:30See, these are the things that they don't want you to hear, especially coming from a person like me.
- 11:37Yeah.
- 11:38But we need a lot more.
- 11:40We need a lot more of our retired military personnel to stand up to speak out.
- 11:45Not with anger, not in meanness, but to let the people know what's great about our Navy and our Coast Guard and our Marines and Air Force and Space Force and Army and on and on and on.
- 11:56We need to let them know about the great successes of our U.S.
- 12:00military.
- 12:02Because we are strong.
- 12:04We weren't, but we are now.
- 12:06And the reason why I say, you know, we need more retired personnel to stand up.
- 12:11I know the active duty personnel and reservists can't.
- 12:13I mean, it's against policy.
- 12:15Not against policy for those of us who are retired.
- 12:19But we need to stand up.
- 12:21And let me add this.
- 12:23Aren't those who are retired standing up and speaking out against the policies of our military against the policies of our government overall?
- 12:35And as far as I'm concerned, those criticisms trickle down to criticizing those very heroic people in the United States armed forces that are now in harm's way, that are now in combat.
- 12:50They will tell you, they will tell you, and I'm talking about now, the individuals who are criticizing our heroes, they will tell you that they support our troops.
- 13:01No, you don't.
- 13:03If you take the time to go on the mainstream media and all their talk shows, I see what you're doing.
- 13:10Our listeners see what you're doing.
- 13:12You go on there and you give the narrative that the mainstream media wants to hear.
- 13:18And I'll tell you how I know that.
- 13:20I am on a lot of these networks.
- 13:23I'm on all over the place on these TV networks.
- 13:26I've been with them for years and years.
- 13:30And I know without a doubt, and as a fact, that many of these networks want a narrative that fits into their agenda.
- 13:39I never bought it, never sold into it.
- 13:42That's why you won't see me on a lot of mainstream media networks.
- 13:46You'll see me on a lot of networks, but not on those mainstream media networks.
- 13:51And I'll name one of them.
- 13:53How about that, folks?
- 13:54CNN.
- 13:55You won't see me on CNN.
- 13:57I have been asked a few times to go on CNN, and they were trying to set me up in order to put me in a position where they would advance their criticisms and try to have me confirm their narrative.
- 14:11I learned, I learned, and you need to learn.
- 14:15But you have an agenda.
- 14:18Maybe your agenda is to advance your own career, network career, maybe uh journalism.
- 14:24I don't know what it is.
- 14:25But when you serve the United States military, your allegiance should be to our military and to our constitution and in support of the policies that are now being uh uh implemented by the United States government.
- 14:37Because as I've said, over and over and over again, many of you who get on the air and do that, you're not helping us.
- 14:44You're emboldening our enemies, you're encouraging our enemies.
- 14:48You don't like to hear it, then come on this broadcast.
- 14:51Come on this broadcast, peace through strength, America's Navy, and you join me, and let's have a discussion.
- 14:57How about that?
- 14:58I'll bet not one of you will.
- 15:00And if one of you want to, believe me, I'll I'll I'll suspend all of the uh plans I have for any broadcast moving forward.
- 15:07I'll move that schedule over and I'll bring you on right away with me.
- 15:11Steve dot Rogers at AUSN.org.
- 15:14How about that?
- 15:15Direct the email to me, Steve.rogers at AUSN.org.
- 15:19Let's go at it.
- 15:20Let's talk about it.
- 15:21You got the guts and courage to do that?
- 15:23I think not.
- 15:24But anyway, the U.S.
- 15:26Navy now is strong.
- 15:28The Marines are strong, all of our armed forces are strong.
- 15:30And guess what?
- 15:31We're not going to fly the white flag of surrender.
- 15:34We're going to fly the stars and stripes.
- 15:37Now, when President Trump assumed office, he evaluated the United States policies towards Iran, and he was horrified.
- 15:43He couldn't believe what he saw.
- 15:45And he found out that despite all of the efforts, if you want to call them efforts, by past administrations, Iran continued to finance terrorist organizations worldwide.
- 15:56And they continue to destabilize the Middle East, mostly by the aggressive actions of the Iranian Navy.
- 16:04You haven't heard much about the Iranian Navy, right?
- 16:06You've heard a lot about their terrorist activities and other things, but not about their Navy, which now ceases to exist, by the way.
- 16:13And let me give our Navy round of applause.
- 16:18The Iranian Navy, I believe, as of now ceases to exist.
- 16:22So let's look at some more facts that led up to where we are today, involved in a war with Iran.
- 16:29March 2017, several Iranian fast attack boats approached a U.S.
- 16:34naval ship called Invincible, and it forced the captain of that ship to alter his course to prevent a collision at sea.
- 16:41In July 2017, Iranian boats approached the USS Thunderbolt, another war fighting ship in the Persian Gulf, which caused that ship to fire warning shots.
- 16:51They didn't fire shots to sink that Iranian boat, but they did fire warning shots.
- 16:56In August of 2017, we had fighter jets that were involved in an exercise over in the Mideast.
- 17:03And uh they were landing on the USS Nimitz, very powerful aircraft carrier.
- 17:08And guess what the Iranian Navy does?
- 17:11They launch an unarmed drone and they brought it flew it very close to that aircraft carrier and jeopardized the safety of our pilots.
- 17:21Now, that situation was taken care of, but uh was not a situation where the captain ordered that drone to be shot down.
- 17:29I believe that those captains of those ships wanted to use a lethal force against these Iranian uh naval forces, but could not because the policies back then were policies of appeasement, uh not peace through strength, if you will.
- 17:44Uh so fact of the matter is they, meaning our enemies, after a lot of these incidents, concluded that the American Navy is weak, that the American government's weak.
- 17:54So let's do some more.
- 17:56And that's exactly what they've been doing worldwide.
- 18:00Now, once the Trump administration finished reviewing the U.S.
- 18:03policy on Iran, President Trump, what he did was he introduced a new policy, a new approach.
- 18:10And he stated that the United States of America would no longer accept Iran's current behavior or ignore its provocations.
- 18:19And that is exactly what we see happening today.
- 18:23The results of the president's new policy.
- 18:25And due to the president's new policy toward Iran, you know what happened in 2017 when it policy was uh implemented, the Iranian Navy's harassment of these ships at sea dramatically declined.
- 18:39They kind of ceased to commit those acts because now they were fearful.
- 18:44They were fearful of the United States Navy, so fearful that you could hardly see one of their boats at sea anymore.
- 18:51But that fear did not totally deter them from their aggressive actions.
- 18:55Because in May of 2019, after they let a few years pass by, uh they launched an aggressive campaign to pressure the international community to relieve sanctions against them that were brought upon them, meaning Iran by the United States.
- 19:10So instead of coming after our boats, they decided to launch an aggressive campaign against the cargo ships of these foreign nations who were allies of ours, believing that their leaders would put pressure on the United States government.
- 19:24Uh and we would go running saying, oh, please, please don't shoot those ships anymore.
- 19:29They're our friends.
- 19:30We're going to take the sanctions off you.
- 19:32The problem is they were used to the governments before Donald Trump was elected to office, before the Department of War were strengthened by good, sharp leaders who know what they're doing, contrary to what you're being told, by the way.
- 19:46Believe me, the Department of War, they know what they're doing.
- 19:49They're hands on.
- 19:51In May of 2019, the Iranian Navy, they deployed, and listen to this, folks, didn't hear much about this.
- 19:58They deployed and detonated mind.
- 20:00On two Saudi vessels.
- 20:02One, a UAE vessel, one Norwegian vessel, and a number of other and another ship.
- 20:08There was three now, another ship, while they were anchored in UAE territorial waters.
- 20:14The Iranian Navy violated sovereignty of the UAE.
- 20:18Didn't hear much about that and planted mines on ships.
- 20:22On June 13, 2019, IRGC naval personnel.
- 20:28They attached and they triggered mines on a Japanese ship and a Norwegian ship in the Gulf of Oman.
- 20:36And then we go to June.
- 20:37Notice the pattern month after month, June of 2019.
- 20:40It was a big year for the Iranian Navy, by the way.
- 20:44They happened to use a surface-to-air missile to shoot down a U.S.
- 20:48drone flying over international waters in the Strait of Hormos.
- 20:52Now, here's the problem that I see.
- 20:55They shoot down a U.S.
- 20:57drone.
- 20:59Well, the problem I see is that we were ready at that time, I believe at that time to take aggressive action against them, more so than what we did.
- 21:10But the fact is is that the Iranian government actually tried to convince us that that drone was within Iranian territorial waters.
- 21:20Now, I believe that uh that was not the case.
- 21:24I believe we're smarter than that, but the action taken was this wait now.
- 21:30Let's not go crazy.
- 21:32Let's wait, let's not start a war.
- 21:34And I supported that because at that time, there was at least, in the view of the U.S.
- 21:40government, progress being made with the Iranian government with regard to their nuclear weapons uh programs.
- 21:50So that was probably the only time, the only time that we kind of let them off the hook.
- 21:56On the July, in July of 2019, there was a tanker flying a British flag that was owned by Sweden that was going through the Strait of Hormos.
- 22:06And uh, guess what happens?
- 22:08The IRGC, the Iranian Navy decides to harass them.
- 22:12And then there was a Libyan flagged uh vessel harassed again in the Strait of Hormos.
- 22:18All this going on with the Iranian government negotiating with the United States government with regard to the nuclear weapons program.
- 22:282020, the Iranian Navy seized a Hong Kong flag oil tanker in international waters.
- 22:35Uh again, saying that the vessel was moving into Iranian territory.
- 22:41April 2020.
- 22:44Uh Iranian Navy small boats interrupted a routine exercise by five U.S.
- 22:48Navy warships, making multiple high-speed and provocative maneuvers.
- 22:52Now the Iranium boats repeatedly passed very close to the front and rear of American ships.
- 22:58And at one point, allegedly coming within 10 yards of U.S.
- 23:02Coast Guard ship.
- 23:04So all this was going on.
- 23:06All of this was going on during this period of time of negotiations with the United States government.
- 23:16But it seems to me that those now in office who are criticizing the Trump administration over his actions right now, forgot this.
- 23:26How soon they forgot.
- 23:27And now they're having hearings.
- 23:29And now they're having committee meetings and on and on and on, running to the microphones, telling the people not only of America, but of the world, and signaling to our enemies that it's okay.
- 23:41It's okay, Iran.
- 23:42It's okay.
- 23:43Don't worry about it.
- 23:44We're going to take the business.
- 23:45Well, we have a law here in the United States that uh prohibits the president of the United States from taking the actions he is unilaterally.
- 23:54He needs the approval of Congress.
- 23:55It's a lie, folks.
- 23:56It's not true.
- 23:57The Constitution, you're going to find out real soon.
- 24:00Gives a president of the United States the authority to do what he's doing.
- 24:04No one likes war.
- 24:05If any president, if any administration, if any people, namely us, Americans do everything we can to prevent war, we take those steps first.
- 24:16But if we have to go to war, we go to war to win.
- 24:21We go to war to fight, not to surrender, but to win.
- 24:25And that's we are where we are right now.
- 24:28I certainly want to send my condolences to the war fighters who lost their lives, sacrificing their lives for our country.
- 24:36Let's not forget them.
- 24:38And let's always keep them in remembrance.
- 24:42And I would hope and pray that all of us, no matter what party politically we are affiliated with, we come together as Americans, but we also send a signal, a very strong message, if not a signal, to those of individuals who we elected to office, whether they're Republican, Democrat, or independent, keep your mouth shut, unless you got something nice to say publicly.
- 25:06If you want to say something that uh will embolden our enemies and do damage to the morale and welfare of our troops, whether you believe it or not, that's what you're doing.
- 25:15Do it behind closed doors.
- 25:17Do it behind closed doors.
- 25:19We don't need to hear your mouth rambling on and on and on about why we shouldn't do this and why we shouldn't do that.
- 25:27We should be hearing you say, well, we are in support of what's going on.
- 25:32We're standing strong with our military.
- 25:34And when the reporters ask you about this and about that, say, well, that's a discussion I'll have with my colleagues behind closed doors, because now is not the time, and now is not the place because we have young men and women in combat, putting their lives on the line for us to have this discussion.
- 25:51What's wrong with that?
- 25:53They won't do it.
- 25:54They won't, but we can.
- 25:57And what we can do is send that message to them by writing letters to them, by calling them, by in fact, going on news broadcasts, if you can, and then the most powerful thing we can do is make sure they're never ever elected or re-elected to office.
- 26:13What about that, folks?
- 26:14What about that?
- 26:16Look at there's a biblical scripture that says, blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called the children of God.
- 26:23So let us remember that America, the American people, the United States Navy, Army, Marines, Air Force, Space Force, Coast Guard, everyone serving this country, one way or another.
- 26:37Let us remember we are the peacemakers, and blessed will be this nation.
- 26:46Thank you.
- 26:46God bless you, and God bless America.

- 31:18America outloud.
- 31:21Liberty and justice for all.
- 31:33Welcome back, ladies and gentlemen, to our broadcast.
- 31:36It's always a pleasure being with you during this time where we have an opportunity to uh share not only news from around the world, uh, some of the news that's happening here in the United States of America during the first half of our broadcast, but it's certainly a real pleasure to share with you news that comes from another place.
- 31:56I call that place heaven, right?
- 31:58There's a God above, there's a heaven, there's a kingdom called the kingdom of God.
- 32:03I believe that uh what is written in the Bible is true.
- 32:07And it is during this portion of our broadcast that I share with you uh some great words from the book of life, which is the Holy Bible.
- 32:16I'm gonna do something a little different today, though.
- 32:18Uh, there was a prayer that was sent to me many years ago.
- 32:23It was a prayer that was published uh by an individual who wanted to make sure that any one of us who got our hands on this prayer would probably apply it to our very own lives.
- 32:35So I'm gonna read this prayer to you.
- 32:37I normally don't read things on the air, but this is so moving, so powerful.
- 32:42Uh, I just have to do this.
- 32:44So it's called a prayer after ordination, written in 1950.
- 32:50And I believe it was after the ordination of a priest or a minister or a monk, but someone who certainly loves the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 32:59Uh, this is the prayer of a man called to be a witness to the nations.
- 33:04This is what he said to his Lord on the day of his ordination.
- 33:09After the elders and ministers had prayed and laid their hands on him, he withdrew to meet his Savior in the secret place and in the silence, farther than his well-meaning brethren could take him.
- 33:23And he said this, O Lord, I have heard thy voice and was afraid.
- 33:29Thou hast called me to an awesome task in a grave and perilous hour.
- 33:34Thou art about to shake all nations on the earth and also heaven, that the things that cannot be shaken may remain.
- 33:42O Lord, my Lord, thou hast stooped to honor me to be thy servant.
- 33:47No man taketh this honor upon himself, save he that is called of God, as was Aaron.
- 33:54Thou has ordained me thy messenger to them that are stubborn of heart and hard of hearing.
- 34:00They have rejected thee, the master, and it is not to be expected that they will receive me, thy servant.
- 34:07My God, I shall not waste time deploring my weakness, nor my unfittedness for the work.
- 34:14The responsibility is not mine, but thine.
- 34:17Thou has said, I knew thee, I ordained thee, I sanctify thee, and thou has also said, Thou shall go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee, thou shall speak.
- 34:31Who am I to argue with thee or to call into question thy sovereign choice?
- 34:36The decision is not mine but thine.
- 34:38So be it, Lord, thy will, not mine be done.
- 34:43Well do I know, thou God of the prophets and the apostles, that as long as I honor thee, thou will honor me.
- 34:52Help me, therefore, to take the solemn vow to honor thee and all my future life and labors, whether by gain or by loss, by life or by death, and then to keep thou vow unbroken while I live.
- 35:07It is time, O God, for thee to work, for the enemy has entered into thy pastures, and their sheep are torn and scattered.
- 35:15And false shepherds abound, who deny the danger and laugh at the perils which surround thy flock.
- 35:21The sheep are deceived by these herlings and follow them with touching loyalty, while the wolf closes in to kill and destroy.
- 35:30I beseech thee, give me sharp eyes to detect the presence of my enemy.
- 35:35Give me understanding to see and courage to report what I see faithfully.
- 35:40Make my voice so like thine own that even the sick sheep will recognize it and follow thee.
- 35:48Lord Jesus, I come to thee for spiritual preparation.
- 35:52Lay thy hand upon me, anoint me with the oil of the New Testament prophet.
- 35:57For that I should become a religious scribe and thus lose my prophetic calling.
- 36:03Save me from the curse that lies dark across the face of modern clergy and the curse of compromise, of limitation, of imitation, of professionalism.
- 36:13Save me from the error of judging a church by its size, its popularity, or the amount of its yearly offering.
- 36:20Help me to remember that I am a prophet, not a promoter, not a religious manager, but a prophet.
- 36:27Let me never become a slave to crowds, heal my soul of carnal ambitions, and deliver me from the itch for publicity.
- 36:35Save me from bondage to things.
- 36:38Let me not waste my days puttering around the house.
- 36:41Lay thy terror upon me.
- 36:44O God, and drive me to the place of prayer where I may wrestle with principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world.
- 36:53Deliver me from over eating and late sleeping.
- 36:57Teach me self-discipline, that I may be a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
- 37:02I accept hard work and small rewards in this life.
- 37:06I ask for no easy place.
- 37:08I shall try to build blind to the little ways that could make life easier.
- 37:14If others seek the smoother path, I shall try to take the hard way without judging them too harshly.
- 37:21I shall expect opposition and try to take it quietly when it comes.
- 37:25Or if, as sometimes it falleth out to thy servants, I should have grateful gifts pressed upon me by thy kindly people.
- 37:34Stand by me, then and save me from the blight that often follows.
- 37:39Teach me to use whatever I receive in such manner that will not injure my soul nor diminish my spiritual power.
- 37:46And if in thy permissive providence, honor should come to me from thy church, let me not forget in that hour that I am unworthy of the least of thy mercies, and that if men knew me and intimately as I know myself, they would withhold their honors or bestow them upon others more worthy to receive them.
- 38:05And now, O Lord of heaven and earth, I consecrate my remaining days to thee.
- 38:10Let them be many or few as thou will.
- 38:14Let me stand before the great or minister to the poor and lowly.
- 38:19That choice is not mine, and I would not influence it if I could.
- 38:24I am thy servant to do thy will, and that will is sweeter to me than position or riches or fame, and I choose it above all things on earth or in heaven.
- 38:34Though I am chosen of thee and honored by a high and holy calling, let me never forget that I am but a man of dust and ashes, a man with all the natural faults and passions that plague the race of men.
- 38:47I pray thee, therefore, my Lord and Redeemer.
- 38:50Save me from myself and from all the injuries I may do myself by trying to be a blessing to others.
- 38:56Fill me with thy power by the Holy Spirit, and I will go in thy strength and tell of thy righteousness, even thine holy.
- 39:06I will spread abroad the message of redeeming love while my normal powers endure.
- 39:10Then, there, Lord, when I am old and weary and too tired to go on, have a place ready for me above, and make me to be numbered with thy saints and glory everlasting.
- 39:22Amen.
- 39:24What a powerful prayer.
- 39:27And I must tell you that when I read that prayer, I studied it, I looked at it.
- 39:34And I realized that that would be a prayer that I need to keep, and that I need to remember.
- 39:41Maybe we all need to keep and remember prayers like that, because it is so important that we are here not to serve ourselves, but we are here to serve God.
- 39:52We are here to serve Jesus Christ, the God of gods, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings.
- 40:00There are so many scriptures in the Bible that encourage us to move on.
- 40:04There are so many blessings in the Bible that will show us that indeed, yeah, we're going to go through some tough times.
- 40:12We're going to go through some difficult times.
- 40:15But each and every difficult time we go through, there is a God above who will do everything that he can in his power to put us on a road that will bring us to solutions to our problems, that will bring us to success, that will lead us to glory.
- 40:34And where is that glory?
- 40:36In the kingdom of heaven.
- 40:38I've heard so many people today share with me their problems and difficulties.
- 40:42And I remember times when I would have people come into my office when I was on our local government, and they would share with me that uh they've tried everything.
- 40:53They've tried everything to solve the challenges that they're facing, whether it be in their marriage, whether it be with their children, whether it be at work, anywhere at any time.
- 41:06Many people came and said they're exhausted and they need help.
- 41:10They've tried to fit pay their bills and can't make the mortgages and the rent and on and on and on.
- 41:16And I would see that the major thing that they were really looking for was peace through the storm, was peace through that very, very dark day.
- 41:28I call it the uh the the darkness of the soul, right?
- 41:33The dark night of the soul, and we've all been through the dark night of the soul.
- 41:38How many times have you gone to sleep and wake up with the same burden you went to sleep with?
- 41:44How many times did you try to go to sleep and you couldn't sleep?
- 41:48How many times do you go to work worried?
- 41:51What's going to happen to my children today?
- 41:53What's going to happen to my wife, my husband?
- 41:56There's an illness in the family, and you're so consumed with the problem.
- 42:01Listen, we're made that way, folks, aren't we?
- 42:04All of us.
- 42:05I'm made that way.
- 42:06There are times I still go through those dark nights of the soul.
- 42:09Make no mistake about it.
- 42:10But I've learned over the years.
- 42:13I've learned over the years that although there is a dark night of the soul, there is a light that we could all shine upon that soul that we have, that the spirit that God has given us, namely the Holy Spirit living in all of us.
- 42:32There is a light.
- 42:33And sometimes we get so overwhelmed with our problems, we forget there's a light.
- 42:38And many, many times people know the light's there, but won't accept it, won't accept its power until they're on their knees, until they're really truly on their knees.
- 42:50And there are many times in the past when I really kind of just thought the Bible as just another book, heard about Christ, but really didn't get close to him, said my prayers, but kind of would say a prayer, get up and leave and go about my business.
- 43:06In other words, I never really turned that light on to its brightest, brightest degree.
- 43:13You know, you ever see those three way lights?
- 43:15Well, we turn it on, and we got a little dim light, then the medium light comes on, and you want to see the whole room and everything in the room, well, you turn the biggest uh wattage light on.
- 43:25That's the light coming from heaven.
- 43:27There's no stage one, two, or three regarding the light of Jesus Christ, the light of the Holy Spirit.
- 43:33You turn that light on, my friends, and it's going to shine brightly and get rid of the darkness.
- 43:40You know, I quite often uh relay the story of uh President Abraham Lincoln.
- 43:45So if you're hearing it for the hundredth time, uh kind of forgive me, but there's so much truth to one moment in his time, one moment in the time of President Abraham Lincoln, that I will never forget reading about.
- 44:01And I hope you never forget what I'm about to share with you, because I think we've all been there.
- 44:08As we all know, President Lincoln had been going through some very, very difficult times, probably the most difficult times of his life during war during the civil war.
- 44:17And he prayed daily, he had a Bible on his desk, and he read it quite often.
- 44:22See, history doesn't talk much about this, does it?
- 44:25But these are facts.
- 44:27And um night, the White House was closed, doors locked, all the lights out in the White House, except for a candle that was lit in the Oval Office, and um the door of the Oval Office was a little open.
- 44:48There was a little crack in the door.
- 44:50So you could see the light of the candle shining through that door out into the hallway.
- 44:56So President Lincoln's chief of staff had been walking around the hall to the White House, I guess doing this and doing that, kind of fixing things up.
- 45:06Really, he was just kind of walking around, I guess uh killing some time.
- 45:12But he walked into the hallway where the Oval Office was and saw a little bit of light shining through the crack in the door.
- 45:20So he decided to walk down the hallway, and when he came to the Oval Office and saw the door a little open, he opened it up wider, and there he saw President Lincoln, not sitting behind the resolute desk, not standing looking out the window, but on his knees.
- 45:42President Lincoln on his knees, holding a Bible in his hand with his head bowed down.
- 45:50So his chief of staff is looking at him, and finally he said, Mr.
- 45:55President, I don't really want to interrupt you, but you're okay.
- 45:59Is there anything I could do?
- 46:01And what are you doing down there on the floor?
- 46:04The president turned his head in a minute or so and looked at him and said, My friend, I have no place else to go.
- 46:14Wow.
- 46:15What a message.
- 46:17I have no place else to go.
- 46:20So the only final place, the president of the United States, Abraham Lincoln went, was to the Lord Jesus Christ.
- 46:30He went to the light, not only shining from that candle in the Oval Office, but he went to the light shining from heaven to his heart, to his soul, to his spirit, praying to God for peace, for wisdom, for understanding, and for strength.
- 46:50And is that not what you and I seek every single day of our lives?
- 46:57I admit to you, when I run into challenges and problems now, yep, I look for solutions.
- 47:03Need a doctor, I go.
- 47:05Need to meet the banker, I go.
- 47:08Need to solve some problems in the household.
- 47:10I get to find those solutions, I do.
- 47:14But before I now take those steps, I pray.
- 47:18Lord, lead me in the right direction.
- 47:20Lord, show me thy path.
- 47:23Teach me thy ways.
- 47:25Lord, give me the wisdom.
- 47:27Give me the knowledge and understanding of what I'm going through so that I can make the right decisions.
- 47:33Now, many of you may be saying, Oh, but I've tried everything, I've done everything I could.
- 47:40Uh uh, people have come and gone and they've patted me on the back.
- 47:44Oh, I'm with you all the way.
- 47:46And well, you notice that when the people, although meaning, many of them are meaningful very well, they meet really mean well when they do that.
- 47:55But have they really come to help you?
- 47:57Maybe some have, and God bless them if they have, because maybe the good Lord is using them to answer your prayers, and that's a good thing, but it rarely happens.
- 48:06For the most part, those who pat us on the back, they really mean it.
- 48:11If they they really want to help, but they can't, but they'll say anything to bring comfort.
- 48:15My point is this.
- 48:17The only real place you can go to is whether literally or figuratively on your knees and pray.
- 48:28It doesn't mean you're gonna get a scripted prayer.
- 48:31You know how you're gonna pray.
- 48:34How about this?
- 48:35You pray the way you want, the way you think is best for you.
- 48:39But for me now, the most effective way for me to pray is what I'm doing right now.
- 48:45Having a conversation with you.
- 48:48And believe me, I wish this was a two-way conversation.
- 48:51Perhaps one day we'll get you on a radio program.
- 48:55Anyone who wants to come on that wants to talk about this, I'll tell you what, I'd love for you to come on.
- 49:01In fact, go to our website, America Outloud.news, America Out Loud.news, and you're gonna find out on that website that there is a way to get to me and send me an email.
- 49:13I think actually there's a contact form, okay?
- 49:15So uh contact form, you'll see where uh my broadcast is, and just go and send me a little note, okay?
- 49:24That's uh America outloud.news.
- 49:26That's the network website.
- 49:28And since we're on this network, that's a be pretty easy way you can get to me.
- 49:33And then maybe we get you on the air.
- 49:35And let's have a uh a good talk about Christ and the Bible.
- 49:38Very rare, huh?
- 49:39Very rare on a lot of uh networks and broadcasts, but America out loud, all right.
- 49:43This news broadcast brings not only news, like I said earlier from Earth, but from heaven, and this is all good news, by the way.
- 49:50It is good news.
- 49:53And I encourage you to take advantage of that.
- 49:57But getting back to what I was originally speaking.
- 50:00About the peace of mind or heart or whole of spirit, the dark night of the soul.
- 50:05We can eliminate the dark night of the soul if we pray and have a conversation with God.
- 50:12So I wake up four, five, six in the morning.
- 50:16I make a cup of coffee.
- 50:19Maybe I'll eat something.
- 50:21I'll sit on a chair.
- 50:23I'll relax.
- 50:25Sometimes I'll put on some nice, soft, beautiful, relaxing music.
- 50:29How's that sound, folks?
- 50:31And then I take a sip of coffee.
- 50:35I literally look out the window up at the sky, or in the room I'm in at the at the ceiling, sometimes across the room, sometimes bow my head.
- 50:45And then I say this.
- 50:47Okay, buddy.
- 50:49Let's talk.
- 50:50That's right.
- 50:51That's the way I stop my prayer.
- 50:54I feel that close and intimate with Jesus Christ that I could actually have a conversation with him like that.
- 51:01Now, somebody might say, Well, that's kind of disrespectful.
- 51:04You know, he's a king.
- 51:06Well, he also knows my heart.
- 51:09He knows your heart.
- 51:10And I tend to believe he also has a sense of humor.
- 51:13And I tend to believe that he has no problem with us for referring to him as a buddy.
- 51:21I thank him every day for being my friend.
- 51:24My point is get close to him.
- 51:27Get to know him.
- 51:29He's not walking around heaven with a hammer, looking for something to hammer your head with.
- 51:35He's walking around heaven, just waiting for you to come on to show up and how you show up.
- 51:39You have that conversation.
- 51:41So tomorrow morning, this afternoon, after this broadcast, hey, whenever you're comfortable.
- 51:47Maybe sitting behind your desk, or maybe in an office like the Oval Office, maybe getting on your knees.
- 51:53Whatever, whatever uh you feel is comfortable for you.
- 51:56Don't let somebody tell you how you should pray, you know, uh on your knees, up, down.
- 52:02That's why I won't do that.
- 52:03I don't tell you how to pray.
- 52:04I tell you how I pray.
- 52:06But the only way to pray is the way you feel comfortable with.
- 52:11That's right.
- 52:13God isn't necessarily looking at how you pray.
- 52:17He is looking at what you're saying.
- 52:20Are you confessing to him your sins?
- 52:23Oh boy, that's a tough one, isn't it?
- 52:26Are you letting him know everything that you should be letting him know about your life, about your problems?
- 52:34Are you holding things back from him?
- 52:36Don't do that because he already knows.
- 52:38Oh, yeah.
- 52:39Where there is the presence of sin, there are a couple things going on.
- 52:43Where there's presence of sin, the grace abounds.
- 52:47Believe me, he brings a lot of grace to you, but also where there's the presence of sin is a roadblock to blessings.
- 52:55Oh, yeah.
- 52:57And as I shared with you in that letter that I read to you a few minutes ago, I see that that particular individual who wrote, well, I call it a letter who wrote that prayer, made it very clear that they clearly made it clear.
- 53:15I'm repeating myself.
- 53:16That's when you run out of words on radio, you kind of fill the gap.
- 53:20All right.
- 53:21So forgive me.
- 53:22But the fact is that what I'm trying to say is that he made it very, very clear that we need to be honest with God, close to him.
- 53:33When he says things like, Lord, uh, make me aware of my faults and my sins.
- 53:39Yeah, I want to be aware of the sins and faults.
- 53:42Hey, folks, there's some things we do that we know we shouldn't do.
- 53:46The instinct kicks at well, I'm I'm not going to do this.
- 53:50And we don't do it.
- 53:51And then we realize, hmm, is that sinful?
- 53:55Listen to this, folks.
- 53:56I have a friend who said to me, uh, income tax is coming up, and he received some income.
- 54:03Uh, where he got, I think uh, it wasn't a W2.
- 54:06Oh, 1099.
- 54:07All right.
- 54:07So he gets this 1099 form where he was contracted out to work for someone.
- 54:12And uh he's telling me, hey, look, he says, hey, Steve, you think I should kind of just take a chance?
- 54:18I I got a lot of income here, and I might be end up paying a lot of taxes.
- 54:22So should I uh, you know, maybe kind of forget this 1099?
- 54:26And I looked at him, I says, Well, you may forget it.
- 54:29What makes you believe the IRS is gonna forget it?
- 54:32He says, Well, he says, sometimes, you know, I could take the gamble, I could take the shot.
- 54:39I said, Well, well, well, to what end?
- 54:41Well, Steve, to what end?
- 54:43I I may not have to uh, you know, see my taxes really go through the roof if I don't submit this one 1099.
- 54:49I said, So you're telling me you're gonna take a gamble, and if you lose the gamble, you'll be fine, probably.
- 54:55You'll be given uh uh some sort of a uh tax upon the tax, right?
- 55:00Interest and all that.
- 55:01Uh is it really worth it?
- 55:04He says to me, and here it goes, folks.
- 55:07He says to me, Well, who's watching?
- 55:10The only person that knows is you.
- 55:13Well, now that you asked me the question I was waiting for, the answer is God is watching.
- 55:20He's watching.
- 55:22You know who he is, and he stared at me.
- 55:26And this is a long stare.
- 55:27And I said, Who are you staring at?
- 55:29He says, Well, you know, I I kind of expected, I know how you are, I kind of expected, but didn't expect you to say that with regard to this.
- 55:38So I said, Hey, listen, let me tell you something.
- 55:40You told me nobody's watching, God is watching.
- 55:42I guarantee you bury that 1099 in a draw.
- 55:47You may not be going back to it for another year, two, three, four, five years.
- 55:52But when, not if, but when the IRS catch up to you, you're gonna pay a heavy price.
- 55:57But worse than that, and here it comes, folks.
- 56:00Worse than that.
- 56:02When your sin catches up to you, you're gonna pay a price unlike any price you've ever paid before.
- 56:11And he got shaken over that.
- 56:13He said, What do you mean?
- 56:14That's like you're talking like I'm committing a murder or something.
- 56:17I said, You don't have to commit a murder.
- 56:20Sin is sin in the eyes of God.
- 56:23And I told him, believe me, things like that in the past have crossed my mind until I realized that if I'm gonna honor God, if I'm gonna pray to God, if I'm gonna ask him for blessings, then the greatest way I could bless him is to be honest, do the right thing.
- 56:38And by the way, this person is a Christian like I am.
- 56:41So we all fall short, the Bible says the glory of God.
- 56:45So I end with this.
- 56:46The Bible tells you to sin not, sin not.
- 56:50And if you sin, confess to the Lord Jesus Christ, let him know your faults, your problems, and then you know what you're gonna hear from him.
- 56:58Go, my friend, and sin no more.
- 57:01You're forgiven.
- 57:02Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
- 57:06Yep.
- 57:06If you got no place else to go, try God.
- 57:11He is the Lord thy God.
- 57:13He says, I have come.
- 57:15I have come to you.
- 57:17I have come for you.
- 57:19Believe me, he's here, ready, willing, and able to receive you, and for you to receive him as your Lord and Savior.
- 57:30God bless you, and God bless America.
