- 0:01Speaker 1: Here's your host, Alex Garren. All right, well, I'm gonna
- 0:07Speaker 1: drop the link in the description below to the in
- 0:10Speaker 1: memorium I did about Lou Carnaseca, because I feel like
- 0:13Speaker 1: that is so fitting to what we're seeing today. The
- 0:16Speaker 1: culture of louis the culture that Patino brings all meshing together.
- 0:22Speaker 1: And of course I'll drop the link to when they
- 0:25Speaker 1: won their first tournament game in twenty five years last
- 0:28Speaker 1: year and what that meant to me, because, oh my god,
- 0:31Speaker 1: as a kid that grew up around Saint John's half
- 0:35Speaker 1: a mile away, as a kid that applied to Saint John's,
- 0:37Speaker 1: got into Saint John's and has been at that Carnasac
- 0:41Speaker 1: Arena many a time, has met Lou himself, met Patino,
- 0:45Speaker 1: wish him good luck coach a couple of times. Of course,
- 0:49Speaker 1: I'm fired up that we're in the Sweet sixteen, but
- 0:51Speaker 1: I'm also fired up that I used tickpic to get
- 0:53Speaker 1: to the games prior to the Sweet sixteen, because Biggie's
- 0:57Speaker 1: tournament only sixty nine bucks, not bad for both games
- 1:00Speaker 1: by the way, Satan Hall Saint John's and then the
- 1:03Speaker 1: Yukon game, but also but also a game earlier in
- 1:10Speaker 1: the year for the preseason in October, and then of
- 1:14Speaker 1: course the final home game fifteen bucks to watch Saint
- 1:17Speaker 1: John's and take on Georgetown, and that was pretty exciting.
- 1:21Speaker 1: So I'll drop those thoughts in the description below, But
- 1:25Speaker 1: right now I have to get to this because as
- 1:30Speaker 1: tragic a crash that we saw at LaGuardia on Sunday night,
- 1:37Speaker 1: and the details unfolding and how the air traffic controller
- 1:39Speaker 1: might have screwed up and maybe he's been overworked. I mean, look,
- 1:43Speaker 1: the airlines are facing a lot of pressure with the
- 1:48Speaker 1: TSA agents not being funded, with DHS basically shut down.
- 1:56Speaker 1: You know, this is a fault on both sides. And
- 2:02Speaker 1: that horrible crash that is still not cleaned up yet
- 2:10Speaker 1: is an exemplary image. And I know two pilots heroic
- 2:14Speaker 1: save the lives of so many that day, but the
- 2:19Speaker 1: image on the tarmac at La Guardia feels so like
- 2:27Speaker 1: a metaphor for the DC dysfunction. Again, we just went
- 2:31Speaker 1: through a fall of forty three days of a government shutdown.
- 2:35Speaker 1: We're now seeing this DHS shutdown, linger and Linger and linger,
- 2:40Speaker 1: and affecting everybody. It's affecting a lines not in New York.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I saw today someone's at the TSLI wasn't terrible. Maybe
- 2:49Speaker 1: there are things picking up here, but there's another example
- 2:54Speaker 1: of DC dysfunction. And I can go raw raw. Democrats
- 2:58Speaker 1: want to fund this about illegals, but I'm tired of
- 3:01Speaker 1: beating that drum. And I can say Trump is whatever
- 3:04Speaker 1: about setting ice in and all that. But what I
- 3:07Speaker 1: really want to talk about is how we need to
- 3:11Speaker 1: stop the gridlock all of us by just voicing, hey,
- 3:18Speaker 1: get to a deal, get to a deal. That that
- 3:24Speaker 1: And look, it is almost hollow ground now that the
- 3:27Speaker 1: two pilots die, but it almost also looks like an
- 3:30Speaker 1: iore that the way that plane is just mashed up.
- 3:37Speaker 1: And yeah, NTSB has to get in and investigate. But
- 3:40Speaker 1: it's been a day and a half and that tarmac
- 3:42Speaker 1: is still not They still haven't fixed up the area.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I don't want to say clean it up because that's
- 3:50Speaker 1: too insensitive, but they still haven't fixed the area up.
- 3:56Speaker 1: I think that's part of the bureaucratic bull crap. That
- 4:00Speaker 1: image of the plane on the tarmac smashed up. It's
- 4:05Speaker 1: three twelve on Tuesday, March twenty fourth. This plane crash.
- 4:12Speaker 1: This crash happened on the tarmac Sunday night. That means
- 4:16Speaker 1: a day and a half plus has been this issue
- 4:23Speaker 1: an investigation, And I get you want to be thorough
- 4:26Speaker 1: with it. I get you want to make sure everything
- 4:29Speaker 1: is scoped out and investigated. And maybe I'm wrong to
- 4:35Speaker 1: say there could have been a little more of a
- 4:36Speaker 1: hustle on it. But when you look at the backdrop
- 4:38Speaker 1: of this function of the airlines to begin with, and
- 4:42Speaker 1: the airline controllers, which we talked about in January of
- 4:45Speaker 1: twenty five after that horrific crash at Dulles As that
- 4:50Speaker 1: plane was a part of Dallas. It's almost the same
- 4:55Speaker 1: thing but on the ground level. And thank god, the
- 4:58Speaker 1: pilots did what they could to save everybody on board.
- 5:01Speaker 1: That's heroic. That's these Air Canada pilots are heroic. But
- 5:08Speaker 1: the bureaucratic bull crap is now shown through this plane
- 5:15Speaker 1: all smashed up and still on the tarmac. When are
- 5:18Speaker 1: they going to remove it? When are they going to
- 5:21Speaker 1: get things going fully for Americans? And when are we
- 5:26Speaker 1: going to stop this gridlock? I think that image on
- 5:29Speaker 1: the tarmac and an example of where we are in
- 5:33Speaker 1: the dysfunction. And I feel weird saying that because it
- 5:39Speaker 1: might be taken like, well, you're not taking the lives
- 5:42Speaker 1: and loss of these lives seriously. But I am. I'm
- 5:45Speaker 1: also saying this dysfunction is represented because with these folks
- 5:53Speaker 1: not getting paid, with the airline controllers working a lot
- 5:56Speaker 1: of hours TSA, of course this kind of tragedy could happen.
- 6:08Speaker 1: And I do fault DC for their dragging their feet
- 6:12Speaker 1: on both sides to get a deal done. Do I
- 6:17Speaker 1: believe we should cave into the illegal immigrants here on
- 6:22Speaker 1: documented immigrants here and let them have free rain or
- 6:25Speaker 1: whatever they want to do. That's why they're tying up
- 6:28Speaker 1: the funding. No, but again, both sides are hurting Americans
- 6:36Speaker 1: and a lot more could have been hurt if these
- 6:41Speaker 1: two pilots from Canada or Air Canada didn't do the
- 6:46Speaker 1: right tacticals to keep the passenger safe. I mean, I
- 6:50Speaker 1: believe all the passengers survived and a flight attendant that
- 6:53Speaker 1: flew three hundred feet out of the plane survived. That's unbelievable.
- 6:58Speaker 1: That's a miracle. It's almost sullen burger. Efforts that these
- 7:04Speaker 1: two pilots did, and now they could do. Honor them
- 7:07Speaker 1: is to get a deal done so that tsagents, so
- 7:09Speaker 1: that flight tenants, so that lines and tensions at the
- 7:14Speaker 1: airports could be eased so that nothing like this can happen.
- 7:17Speaker 1: That's how we honor these two pilots that lost their
- 7:21Speaker 1: lives protecting a whole airplane from a collision with the
- 7:27Speaker 1: fire truck that was told to keep going. And yet
- 7:33Speaker 1: that disfigured airplane that's smashed up, lingering on the tarmac.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I can't get that image out of my head. I
- 7:42Speaker 1: don't think any of us can. And how do we
- 7:48Speaker 1: honor the fallen if you will, in this case, we
- 7:53Speaker 1: get a deal done so that it could be easy use,
- 8:01Speaker 1: that air traffic could be paid correctly, that agents could
- 8:03Speaker 1: be pair paid correctly, and once the deal is done,
- 8:11Speaker 1: we can figure out semantics and all that crap down
- 8:16Speaker 1: the road. But that disfigured, smashed up airplane, what would
- 8:27Speaker 1: you call that word? Uh, not only collided, but that
- 8:33Speaker 1: is and the fire truck that's lodged into it. Still
- 8:37Speaker 1: get them dislodged, clear the air, to clear the tarmac,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and get a deal done and made these air controllers.
- 8:52Speaker 1: Air traffic controllers have some assistance, have some backup, have
- 8:56Speaker 1: some help so that they're literally not telling a fire truck.
- 9:00Speaker 1: They're clear, maybe because they worked long hours, but that
- 9:05Speaker 1: to me is bureaucrat bull crap that that plane crash
- 9:11Speaker 1: even had to happen, and it wasn't even in the air,
- 9:15Speaker 1: It was literally before it took off, but didn't have
- 9:19Speaker 1: to happen. And the egos and the pride of all
- 9:26Speaker 1: these different politicians are causing harm in more ways than
- 9:34Speaker 1: I've seen in a while, in more ways than I've
- 9:37Speaker 1: seen in a while. So you wanna onto the fallen pilots,
- 9:50Speaker 1: You free up the airspace, you free up the tents
- 9:52Speaker 1: of the airport, You maybe take away ice. I know
- 9:57Speaker 1: that they're being applauded for their work right now, but
- 9:59Speaker 1: you maybe take away ice and not put that over
- 10:01Speaker 1: people's heads as well, and just protect the airports and
- 10:07Speaker 1: fund TSA one other breaking news story before I go.
- 10:11Speaker 1: You're a one lego blex media. This is why I
- 10:14Speaker 1: do the news portion President Trump today saying Iran has
- 10:21Speaker 1: agreed to no nuclear weapons. They've agreed they will never
- 10:25Speaker 1: have a nuclear weapon. They've agreed to that. Of course
- 10:28Speaker 1: Toront's not saying that publicly and even denied talking to
- 10:31Speaker 1: the US, but I want to alert President Trump. They
- 10:39Speaker 1: also tell that to Obama. As long as I'm president
- 10:42Speaker 1: of the United States, Iran will not get a nuclear weapon.
- 10:45Speaker 1: And Biden, what I can say to you, Iran will
- 10:48Speaker 1: never get a nuclear weapon on my watch, as they say,
- 10:52Speaker 1: and they were still using nuclear weaponry and developing it.
- 10:58Speaker 1: We can never trust Iran. I'm glad they're scared that
- 11:03Speaker 1: we want to take out the last remaining member of
- 11:06Speaker 1: the terroristic regime. Make them, keep them scared, but don't
- 11:13Speaker 1: just go by their word. I don't think they can
- 11:16Speaker 1: ever be trusted. So while Trump says Iran's agreed to
- 11:21Speaker 1: his biggest demand in order to stop the war, I'm
- 11:25Speaker 1: having a tough time believing it, as every American should,
- 11:31Speaker 1: as President Trump should, because until the last remainings of
- 11:42Speaker 1: the Ayatola regime are destroyed, there's always going to be
- 11:48Speaker 1: seeds of terror in that state of Iran that will
- 11:54Speaker 1: always cover up their nuclear weapon. We've heard this before.
- 12:01Speaker 1: We've heard this before. I uh, I don't trust it,
- 12:09Speaker 1: and I hope Trump doesn't truly trust it either, because
- 12:14Speaker 1: you've gone in this far, just take out the last couple.
- 12:24Speaker 1: And the other news today is I had heard that
- 12:31Speaker 1: we're sending more troops more troops to the Middle East.
- 12:35Speaker 1: Ryan Pentagon prepares, according to Politico, to send another three
- 12:43Speaker 1: thousand troops to the Middle East from the Army's eighty
- 12:48Speaker 1: second Airborne Division, adding to the thousands of Marines already
- 12:52Speaker 1: headed to the region to assist with operations in Iran.
- 12:57Speaker 1: And they keep telling us no decision has been to
- 13:00Speaker 1: enter the country. But as they keep adding more military
- 13:08Speaker 1: personnel there, I have to believe something is going to
- 13:16Speaker 1: slip up and we're going to be going in there.
- 13:20Speaker 1: While he says, Iran agreed, watch behind the scenes, Watch
- 13:27Speaker 1: behind the scenes. The eighty second Army Division has a
- 13:34Speaker 1: quick reaction force that can deploy around the world within
- 13:37Speaker 1: eighteen hours. But it's not clear if that division will
- 13:41Speaker 1: head to the region. But this is just escalating, not
- 13:51Speaker 1: an excursion. And again, if they want to just free
- 13:57Speaker 1: up the trade off her moves, if they want to
- 13:58Speaker 1: just eradicate the remainders of that regime, I'm fine with that.
- 14:07Speaker 1: But as we have the isore at LaGuardia, as we
- 14:10Speaker 1: have a president that now says Iran is not gonna
- 14:13Speaker 1: have a nuclear weapon, marking him just the n latest
- 14:19Speaker 1: US president to say that without any real proof I
- 14:28Speaker 1: can't exactly say. The last few months have been and
- 14:33Speaker 1: yes we kill KAMENI have been mission accomplished, yet have
- 14:37Speaker 1: been total UH domination. This should have been an excursion.
- 14:51Speaker 1: TSA should be funded. DHS finally has a new head
- 14:55Speaker 1: in Mark William Mullen. But the message today is button up,
- 15:07Speaker 1: get TSA funded, Get air traffic controllers proper support, get
- 15:12Speaker 1: that damn. I know it's holeground, but get that ice
- 15:17Speaker 1: wear off the tarm I got Laguardi. It's a bad
- 15:19Speaker 1: look for America and I just want to make it
- 15:29Speaker 1: to the midterms at this point without a war. And
- 15:33Speaker 1: that's my message today here I won like a balax
- 15:36Speaker 1: media
