Tragic Crash Near Roanoke Claims Life | Fort Wayne News
A tragic single-vehicle crash near Roanoke early Thursday morning claimed the life of 61-year-old Gary R. Zickafoose. Heading north on County Road 500 East, he reportedly misjudged a stop sign at a T-intersection, slammed on brakes, lost control, spun, and slammed into a utility pole before rolling into a ditch. Pronounced dead at the scene with multiple blunt force injuries, he wasn’t wearing a seatbelt.
