- 0:00Most people don't hide because they're trying to deceive
- 0:03anyone. They hide because they're trying
- 0:05to survive. Hiding is rarely about
- 0:08dishonesty. It's actually about protection.
- 0:10Somewhere along the way, many of us learned that to be fully
- 0:14known was risky. It felt risky.
- 0:17Maybe you opened up once to someone and they judged you.
- 0:20Maybe honesty cost you trust, position, or relationship.
- 0:25Maybe you grew up in an environment where weakness
- 0:28wasn't safe and questions were not welcomed.
- 0:31Struggles were meant to be handled quietly.
- 0:33So you adapted. You learned how much of yourself
- 0:37was acceptable. You learned which parts of your
- 0:39story to share and which parts to keep locked away.
- 0:43You learned how to manage perception, how to give just
- 0:46enough vulnerability to appear authentic without ever feeling
- 0:50exposed, and overtime that hiding became normal.
