- 0:15Speaker 1: Back a million bus buss boozy Yeah listening to to
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't joy?
- 0:50Speaker 2: Yeah, joy. You know you gotta turn.
- 1:40Speaker 1: I got to turn the mouth turn You probably got
- 1:44Speaker 1: to turn the mouth turn out, turn the water of
- 1:47Speaker 1: the mony up.
- 1:49Speaker 2: Look me.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on, you'll think, uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 2: dig me now. One and only Steve Harley got a
- 2:10Speaker 2: radio show. I have something and it so describes how
- 2:15Speaker 2: I was living. It so captures the feelings that I
- 2:21Speaker 2: had about beginning on the pathway of my dreams. It
- 2:25Speaker 2: so describes how I felt when I was about to
- 2:31Speaker 2: attempt something. And I have some striking news for you.
- 2:35Speaker 2: It describes often how I feel still today to a degree.
- 2:40Speaker 2: So let me tell you what that is. Here's an
- 2:43Speaker 2: analogy that I've heard a couple of different ways, but
- 2:48Speaker 2: I've kind of, you know, fixed it around to where
- 2:50Speaker 2: I can drink it better, and I think it fits
- 2:54Speaker 2: my personality to describe it to people best this way.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I've talked often about the Earth and see of doing
- 3:02Speaker 2: something with your life, of getting started today, of stopping
- 3:06Speaker 2: the procrastination and putting it off, and waiting on all
- 3:10Speaker 2: your ducks to line up in a row, and waiting
- 3:13Speaker 2: until the stars align themselves. If you're waiting on such
- 3:16Speaker 2: a thing, you're never gonna get started. I don't know
- 3:20Speaker 2: too many people who can say that all the ducks
- 3:23Speaker 2: just lined up in the row. Things happen. Even when
- 3:26Speaker 2: you get them lined up. One of the ducks get
- 3:28Speaker 2: out of line, or somebody knock over the domino. Something happens.
- 3:32Speaker 2: But here's the point I'm getting at.
- 3:35Speaker 1: God has so many blessings available to you. You who's listening.
- 3:45Speaker 2: God has so many blessings available to you from where
- 3:50Speaker 2: you are right now. I don't care what you've gotten
- 3:54Speaker 2: yourself into or what you've done. God has so many
- 3:59Speaker 2: blessings that he can send your way.
- 4:03Speaker 1: But you have to do something.
- 4:06Speaker 2: See a lot of people just sit around and go man,
- 4:09Speaker 2: I don't and something always happening to you. You're always
- 4:12Speaker 2: getting a break, You're always doing this. You always man,
- 4:15Speaker 2: no nothing come my way.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Listen to me. If nothing ever comes your way. You
- 4:19Speaker 1: know why that is? It's because you're not doing anything.
- 4:23Speaker 1: I promise you you're not. Here's a deal.
- 4:26Speaker 2: God has all these blessings he wants to send you,
- 4:29Speaker 2: but you got to give him something to work with. Now,
- 4:33Speaker 2: come on, God will bless you. God can touch people's
- 4:36Speaker 2: hearts on your behalf. He can move situations around for you.
- 4:41Speaker 2: He can align the stars. He can set the ducks
- 4:43Speaker 2: up in the row. But align the stars and move
- 4:46Speaker 2: people around, and touch people's hearts and set the ducks
- 4:49Speaker 2: up in the row. For what have you put forth
- 4:52Speaker 2: any effort? Have you made a single step in any
- 4:56Speaker 2: direction to do the right thing or go the right way?
- 4:59Speaker 1: That give him something to put his finger on.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Come on, man, God can only bless you according to
- 5:07Speaker 2: your faith. If you have a little bit of faith,
- 5:10Speaker 2: give him that.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Let him work with that. You know, man, I didn't
- 5:13Speaker 1: always start with these speeches you hear in the morning.
- 5:16Speaker 2: Now. I ain't always had these. I grew to these.
- 5:19Speaker 2: I stumbled my way to these. I messed up my
- 5:23Speaker 2: way to these. Here, I got it wrong so many
- 5:26Speaker 2: times to be able to sound like I got some sense,
- 5:30Speaker 2: I've said it often. Failure is a wonderful teacher. Do
- 5:33Speaker 2: you know how many times I have had to have
- 5:35Speaker 2: failed to have what I have in my head today.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I'm telling you, man, it's a process. People get mad
- 5:43Speaker 2: at the process. You got to do something to give
- 5:46Speaker 2: God something to work with. He'll bless you. But what
- 5:49Speaker 2: you want me to bless If you ain't putting forth
- 5:51Speaker 2: any effort, you can get blessed from wherever you are
- 5:54Speaker 2: in your life, wherever your starting point is, wherever you
- 5:58Speaker 2: find yourself wound up, you can get it back from there.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I've done it, man, by the grace of God, I've
- 6:04Speaker 2: done it. I got over man. I learned some things
- 6:07Speaker 2: along the way. Because here's a deal. As long as
- 6:10Speaker 2: God keeps waking you up in the morning, he ain't
- 6:12Speaker 2: through with you yet. When he's done, you're done. But
- 6:15Speaker 2: if God still has a plan for you you wake
- 6:17Speaker 2: up in the morning, he still got some more work
- 6:20Speaker 2: for you to do. You wake up in the morning.
- 6:22Speaker 2: So if you keep waking up, man, it's something that
- 6:24Speaker 2: God wants from you, would love to have from you,
- 6:28Speaker 2: and he can work with you, man, if you just
- 6:30Speaker 2: walk towards him a little bit.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Here's the deal.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I know it's hard for the average person to start
- 6:37Speaker 2: because the fear of the unknown is incredible. What if
- 6:40Speaker 2: I fail what if I don't get picked. You know,
- 6:43Speaker 2: one of the hardest things I ever did was walking
- 6:46Speaker 2: in to quit my job. Oh man, let me tell
- 6:49Speaker 2: you about that day when I decided that I was
- 6:52Speaker 2: gonna be a full time comedian after winning an amateur
- 6:55Speaker 2: night one time, quitting your job following you dream, going
- 7:01Speaker 2: for it despite all the nay says, it's like stepping
- 7:05Speaker 2: off a cliff. It's like actually just walking off the
- 7:09Speaker 2: edge of a cliff, hoping, hoping. Now not really knowing,
- 7:15Speaker 2: but hoping. Hoping is the bad basis of faith. I
- 7:22Speaker 2: stepped off that cliff hoping that my parachute would open
- 7:28Speaker 2: and allow me to drift down. See. I've never scott
- 7:32Speaker 2: dived before, but I would imagine part of the thrill.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And I don't know this because I'm not going to
- 7:37Speaker 1: sCOD dive to find out.
- 7:40Speaker 2: I think part of the thrill for people is the
- 7:44Speaker 2: danger part of throwing yourself out a plane and how
- 7:46Speaker 2: it feels to be free falling, but the whole time
- 7:50Speaker 2: they're free falling, having this exhilarating, over the top moment.
- 7:56Speaker 2: You have got to believe in your heart of hearts,
- 7:59Speaker 2: you have got the hope with everything in you that
- 8:01Speaker 2: when you pull this cord, the shoot opens or else.
- 8:05Speaker 2: This ain't a good move at all. But you've packed
- 8:08Speaker 2: your shoot yourself. You've taken the lessons, so you go
- 8:11Speaker 2: ahead and you make the leap. Now, the only thing
- 8:14Speaker 2: about quitting your job and following your dream is you
- 8:17Speaker 2: ain't really been trained all that good for this. You
- 8:20Speaker 2: done packed your shoot, but you ain't never opened it before.
- 8:23Speaker 2: So I walked off this cliff, That's what it was like.
- 8:26Speaker 2: And you following your dreamers like you walking off a cliff.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Here's the part where people don't never make the jump.
- 8:33Speaker 2: They see somebody like myself who jumped off the cliff
- 8:36Speaker 2: and the past chute don't open right away, and I
- 8:39Speaker 2: hit a couple of rocks on the way down.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I got my back cut up pretty bad.
- 8:44Speaker 2: They see that three years living in a car, man
- 8:47Speaker 2: he got it life toe down jumping off that cliff.
- 8:50Speaker 1: I ain't jumping off that cliff.
- 8:52Speaker 2: But see, what you don't understand is you don't know it,
- 8:56Speaker 2: but eventually the shoot will open. I'm at the parachute
- 9:01Speaker 2: opening part of my life. Man were to shoot then open,
- 9:04Speaker 2: and I'm drifting and I'm able to guide my chute
- 9:08Speaker 2: over to Paris and glide. I've glided over the Africa
- 9:11Speaker 2: and seen what it looked like. It's a slow ride down.
- 9:14Speaker 2: When the Parasas chute finally opened and my back didn't
- 9:18Speaker 2: heel too and the cuts that I had on.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Me, I remember now. I know how to stay away
- 9:22Speaker 1: from the edge.
- 9:23Speaker 2: But the Paris chute then opened, and I'm enjoying my
- 9:27Speaker 2: life for the first time. I'm gliding, but I got
- 9:30Speaker 2: hit up against the rock. I can see more. I
- 9:33Speaker 2: get a chance to see more things. I get to
- 9:35Speaker 2: glide and see more parts of the world. I'm living
- 9:38Speaker 2: my dream. Your parachute is going to open, but I'll
- 9:41Speaker 2: tell you one thing for show. It'll never open if
- 9:44Speaker 2: you don't step off that cliff. You got to step
- 9:46Speaker 2: off that cliff. God get the pasachute open for you.
- 9:50Speaker 2: But you got to jump, baby. That's the hard part,
- 9:52Speaker 2: ain't it now? Question is the end of this story
- 9:54Speaker 2: right here today? When you jumping.
- 9:56Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
