Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Every week, I come across opportunities that are just amazing from my perspective, and this is one of those, and I want to share it with you, to give you an illustration of the process of finding them and kick off your research and motivate you to learn some more.
- 0:16Speaker 1: The stock is called Stoke Therapeutics, ticker symbol STOK.
- 0:20Speaker 1: It's a company that works in biotechnology, which means they create new medicines using science about living things.
- 0:28Speaker 1: They focus on fixing rare diseases caused by genes that don't quite work right.
- 0:35Speaker 1: And if I'm right on this and if the analysts on Wall Street are right on this, this little opportunity has at least 100% upside.
- 0:42Speaker 1: That doesn't mean you should run out and buy it.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It means you should maybe consider it.
- 0:46Speaker 1: But you got to have your own plan.
- 0:48Speaker 1: You got to have your own risk management, your portfolio size allocation, all that good stuff.
- 0:52Speaker 1: And if you want to learn that, then this isn't the video for you, because stock tips won't ever get you anywhere.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Understanding how to find your own stocks, understanding how to manage them and take profits that's how you actually get to financial freedom.
- 1:07Speaker 1: At least, that's what it's done for me.
- 1:08Speaker 1: So if you want to learn that, I won't put that in this video, because it'll make it really really long.
- 1:12Speaker 1: I put it into a separate video instead, which you can watch for free at phoenixfriendsorg slash.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Get free there's a link down below and just click on that.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Bugger off right now and write in the chat.
- 1:22Speaker 1: Bagger off and then I'll know where you are and I'm going to walk you through what this company does, why I'm excited about it.
- 1:30Speaker 1: So let's go back to the rare diseases caused by genes that don't work.
- 1:34Speaker 1: So genes are basically like instructions in your body.
- 1:38Speaker 1: If one set is missing or broken, it can cause bigly health problems, and Stoke makes special drugs to help turn up those weak genes.
- 1:46Speaker 1: What they do simply is this they use something called RNA medicines.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Rna is like a messenger in your cells that helps build proteins, which is the building blocks of your body, and their drugs tweak this messenger to make more of the good stuff your body needs, especially for brain and eye problems.
- 2:06Speaker 1: The main disease they target is Dravet syndrome, a severe type of epilepsy think seizures that starts in babies.
- 2:16Speaker 1: It's rare and it's hard to treat.
- 2:18Speaker 1: But Stokes' drug, which is called something entirely unpronounceable it's basically shown in tests.
- 2:26Speaker 1: It can reduce seizures by about half in some kids and they're now in the final big testing phase, with results expected around late 2027.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Other stuff in the works, well.
- 2:37Speaker 1: They're also working on treatments for things like Syngap1, which is a brain disorder causing learning issues and seizures.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Also Rett syndrome, which affects brain development, mostly in girls, and eye problems like optic atrophy, which can lead to vision loss.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Now they've got friends out there as well.
- 2:57Speaker 1: They team up with bigger companies like Acadia Pharmaceuticals to share costs and ideas for brain treatments and Biogen for their main drug.
- 3:05Speaker 1: This is like getting help from experts to make things faster and better.
- 3:09Speaker 1: The analysts on Wall Street think sheep walking down the street in the wrong direction.
- 3:13Speaker 1: They think the stock is a good buy right now.
- 3:16Speaker 1: That's never an argument for me, but some people seem to care about that.
- 3:20Speaker 1: They rated not only a buy, but a strong buy with a target price of wait for it.
- 3:23Speaker 1: That they rated not only a buy, but a strong buy with a target price of wait for it $28.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I'm recording this as trading at about $13.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So we have a pretty nice upside.
- 3:31Speaker 1: So why is this exciting for investors?
- 3:32Speaker 1: Well, if their drugs work and get approved, they could help thousands of people and make a lot of money.
- 3:39Speaker 1: Think what billion or so.
- 3:41Speaker 1: But like all biotech companies, it is, of course, risky.
- 3:44Speaker 1: If the tests fail, the stocks could drop.
- 3:47Speaker 1: So how do we protect ourselves from that?
- 3:49Speaker 1: Well, for that you need to understand a couple of things, and you might want to look at a stock chart for that.
- 3:54Speaker 1: So this is a textbook setup where you have a stock that zigzags about in this sort of very narrow fashion and then, when it breaks out of that zone like it just has, you're hoping that volume is going to pick up because institutions are paying attention and guess what they are.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So, yes, we are a little bit above the breakout zone which was here.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Is that a problem?
- 4:23Speaker 1: No, we actually quite like it that way around.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Being a little bit late to the party usually means you missed the really boring bit at the beginning, where everyone's standing around and doesn't know what to do and you are arriving just when the dancing got started.
- 4:36Speaker 1: So do I like it where it is?
- 4:38Speaker 1: Yes, do I like that?
- 4:39Speaker 1: It's gapping up pre-market as I'm recording this?
- 4:41Speaker 1: Yes, by the time you watch it, it might be a little higher.
- 4:43Speaker 1: That's also completely fine.
- 4:45Speaker 1: But the key thing will be if you do buy this or something like this and I'm specifically not telling you to, because if you just buy this and you haven't got a system or a structure, you will very likely lose money.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Because that's what happens Good opportunities turn into bad opportunities.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Good stocks become bad stocks Happens all the freaking time.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You're going to want to send a stop loss somewhere and you've got to understand how big that should be.
- 5:10Speaker 1: How would that affect your portfolio?
- 5:11Speaker 1: Maybe that stop would be here.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Maybe that stop would be there.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Maybe it's a little tighter even.
- 5:14Speaker 1: That's really up to you and you've got to run through that.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I'll walk you through that a little bit in the free masterclass at phoenixtransitboxgetfree as well.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Because even if the stock keeps going up and up and up, and up and up, eventually what happens to all good stocks?
- 5:28Speaker 1: Well, maybe the FDA approval is a little delayed or some other hiccup happens and it comes back down.
- 5:33Speaker 1: Stocks fall much quicker than they go up, and then you come to me and you start crying and we want to avoid that.
- 5:38Speaker 1: So you need to make sure you have stops, that you start moving them up and you do that in a logical and systematic fashion that actually makes sense if you understand that.
- 5:46Speaker 1: The world's your oyster, my friend.
- 5:49Speaker 1: So here is one that, I think, is I think it's a beautiful setup.
- 5:54Speaker 1: I think it's a very beautiful setup and actually the higher it goes, the more beautiful the setup is, at least in my humble opinion.
- 5:59Speaker 1: But, as I say, don't just buy stuff because some guy on youtube who, even if, even if he's an ex-banker and all that, tells you to do it, because I'm specifically not.
- 6:07Speaker 1: But I hope that these little picks are helpful to get you into the mindset of, ah, there's a structure, there is a system.
- 6:15Speaker 1: We're not just guessing, we're not just waking up and going oh, I have an idea of this stock.
- 6:19Speaker 1: We don't do that.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Follow the same system again and again and again and again.
- 6:22Speaker 1: If
