- 21:12SPEAKER_05: Um, so first question.
- 21:15SPEAKER_05: Uh, how many years were you in school?
- 21:19SPEAKER_09: Well, I have my high school, obviously, and I have my bachelor's and I have my master's degree.
- 21:26SPEAKER_09: So I'll take another one.
- 21:33SPEAKER_09: Um my hope is to go back and get my jurisdictorate, which is kind of where you have a doctorate, but you practice law instead.
- 21:41SPEAKER_09: Um become a judge.
- 21:44SPEAKER_09: More like an education lawyer, so that when you guys say things should be different in school, there would be somebody that could maybe go down and talk to people and fight for that.
- 22:00SPEAKER_05: Teacher in like this school.
- 22:02SPEAKER_09: Oh, in this school?
- 22:03SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 22:04SPEAKER_09: Well, Miss Wrecker's my bestie.
- 22:06SPEAKER_09: So love her.
- 22:09SPEAKER_09: We've been friends since 2019, and we have moved three different schools together.
- 22:14SPEAKER_05: Oh, wow.
- 22:15SPEAKER_05: That's a lot.
- 22:16SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 22:19SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 22:20SPEAKER_05: My second question is: what was your favorite grade when you were in school?
- 22:25SPEAKER_09: Weirdly enough, my favorite grade was fifth grade.
- 22:28SPEAKER_09: I had Mrs.
- 22:28SPEAKER_09: Ankenbrook, who went on to be a principal in the district, and she made uh fifth grade so fun and prepare us for middle school.
- 22:36SPEAKER_09: And I kind of always knew like I wanted to teach fifth grade because she was the coolest fifth grade teacher.
- 22:41SPEAKER_09: So did you teach like fifth grade at all of your schools?
- 22:44SPEAKER_09: I did.
- 22:45SPEAKER_09: I started in third grade and did that for a couple years and then moved to fifth.
- 22:51SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 22:53SPEAKER_05: Did you like this school better or the last school?
- 22:57SPEAKER_09: I'm the Weiser Park kid.
- 23:00SPEAKER_09: I all of my children have gone through Weiser Park, and though I've taught at a bunch of buildings, Weiser Park's my home.
- 23:06SPEAKER_09: It always has been.
- 23:07SPEAKER_09: It's always been the one that I came to as a parent, and I was always like, man, they're doing cool stuff there.
- 23:14SPEAKER_09: So it's really cool that I get to be here now.
- 23:16unknown: Okay, good.
- 23:18SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 23:18SPEAKER_05: My last question is if you were a pizza topping, what topping would you be?
- 23:23SPEAKER_09: Ooh, that one's rough.
- 23:27SPEAKER_09: Pineapple, because it doesn't belong there.
- 23:29SPEAKER_09: Just kidding.
- 23:31SPEAKER_09: Um, probably like Canadian bacon because as a kid I always was like thinking it was something else and didn't realize it was basically ham the whole time.
- 23:42SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 23:43SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 23:44SPEAKER_05: My last one is do you like um ASMR?
- 23:48SPEAKER_09: I do.
- 23:48SPEAKER_09: Okay, good.
- 23:49SPEAKER_09: But I like the rug cleaning ASMR videos.
- 23:52SPEAKER_05: Oh, that one's really nice on it.
- 23:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah, too.
- 23:54SPEAKER_05: Yeah.
- 23:56SPEAKER_05: Okay, well, stay tuned for more.
- 24:00SPEAKER_05: I hope you I hope you guys have a great day.
- 24:05SPEAKER_05: Bye, Koalas.
- 24:06SPEAKER_05: What is she supposed to say?
- 24:07SPEAKER_07: What do you have to do?
- 24:08SPEAKER_05: Oh, yeah.
- 24:09SPEAKER_05: Stay calm.
- 24:10SPEAKER_05: Stay quality.
- 24:15SPEAKER_05: Hello everyone.
- 24:17SPEAKER_05: Today we are interviewing Miss Farlow.
- 24:21SPEAKER_05: Hello, and it's not gonna be our not at all.
- 24:25SPEAKER_05: This is our teacher, so we're her favorite, and you're already gonna take it.
- 24:30SPEAKER_05: You're already making it awkward, Miss Farlow.
- 24:33SPEAKER_05: I tend to do so that time.
- 24:35SPEAKER_05: I'm kidding.
- 24:36SPEAKER_05: My first question is how many schools have you taught at?
- 24:41SPEAKER_09: I started student teaching at Frankie Park and then I taught at Price.
- 24:46SPEAKER_09: Student teaching doesn't count.
- 24:47SPEAKER_09: Really?
- 24:48SPEAKER_09: But it was so hard.
- 24:49SPEAKER_09: Because I have another question.
- 24:51SPEAKER_09: Oh, okay.
- 24:52SPEAKER_09: So Price, Brentwood, Irwin, and then Weiser.
- 24:56SPEAKER_08: Okay.
- 24:57SPEAKER_08: Amazing.
- 24:57SPEAKER_08: River, what about you?
- 24:59SPEAKER_05: My first question is why won't you let me be the teacher bestie?
- 25:03SPEAKER_05: Like, what did I ever do to you?
- 25:05SPEAKER_05: Oh, do we ever want to tell her?
- 25:08SPEAKER_05: Okay, so first, if you don't know what a teacher bestie is in our class, so we use a randomizer and it's just like the person who like passes out stuff during the day.
- 25:19SPEAKER_09: You well, the teacher bestie basically does anything that I need them to do that I forgot to make a job for.
- 25:28SPEAKER_09: Yeah, it's it's random.
- 25:41SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 25:42SPEAKER_05: My next question is how many years were you a student teacher?
- 25:46SPEAKER_09: Uh two years total.
- 25:48SPEAKER_09: Well, it's one year, but two semesters.
- 25:50SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay.
- 25:52SPEAKER_05: Um, so my second question is like, who's your favorite student?
- 25:57SPEAKER_05: Like, you know, someone with like blonde hair, blue eyes.
- 26:01SPEAKER_09: So there is a student in third grade here.
- 26:04SPEAKER_09: And he kind of looks like me, but he kind of looks like his dad.
- 26:09SPEAKER_09: Oh, yeah, it's my son.
- 26:11SPEAKER_05: That's annoying.
- 26:12SPEAKER_05: He's your favorite child.
- 26:13SPEAKER_05: We asked who's your favorite student.
- 26:14SPEAKER_09: But he goes to Wiser, so he's a student here.
- 26:17SPEAKER_09: But you know what?
- 26:19SPEAKER_09: You are my favorite student named River.
- 26:21SPEAKER_05: What about me?
- 26:22SPEAKER_09: You're my favorite student named Zoe.
- 26:24SPEAKER_05: Okay, I'm better.
- 26:25SPEAKER_05: So make sure if you have someone in your class named Zoe that you tell them that they're not your favorite Zoe, that I was.
- 26:31SPEAKER_09: Of course.
- 26:32SPEAKER_09: Yeah, definitely.
- 26:33SPEAKER_05: My next question is why didn't you adopt me?
- 26:38SPEAKER_09: Um I didn't know that you existed until this year.
- 26:43SPEAKER_09: Maybe we could do like the late adoption.
- 26:45SPEAKER_09: You know, we'll ask your parents, it'll be fine.
- 26:49SPEAKER_05: I'm already taken you, we're too late.
- 26:52SPEAKER_05: Yeah, but we're neighbors.
- 26:55SPEAKER_05: Why don't you come to my house?
- 26:58SPEAKER_05: Um, you guys don't you can just take me if you want.
- 27:04SPEAKER_05: Trying to trying to be a teacher, not a kidnapper, it's okay.
- 27:07SPEAKER_05: Okay, we're okay.
- 27:09SPEAKER_05: Going on with my other question.
- 27:12SPEAKER_05: My other question is don't you like me better than Jeremiah?
- 27:18SPEAKER_05: Like, what about me?
- 27:20SPEAKER_05: I'm just confused here.
- 27:21SPEAKER_05: I'm not in this debate.
- 27:24SPEAKER_09: Do you guys follow directions better?
- 27:29SPEAKER_09: Well, maybe not.
- 27:30SPEAKER_09: Do you guys talk more?
- 27:32SPEAKER_05: Nah.
- 27:33SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 27:36SPEAKER_05: Okay, that is it for us interviewing Miss Farlow.
- 27:40SPEAKER_05: Yes.
- 27:40SPEAKER_05: Stay quality.
- 27:42SPEAKER_05: Stay quality.
- 27:44SPEAKER_15: Hi, I'm your paper Madison, and today we'll be asking Miss Farlow some more questions about how much she loves us so much.
- 27:52SPEAKER_15: So much.
- 27:52SPEAKER_15: Wait.
- 27:53SPEAKER_15: My first question is how long have you been teaching in schools?
- 27:56SPEAKER_09: This is my 15th year.
- 27:59SPEAKER_15: Fifteenth?
- 28:00SPEAKER_09: Fifteen years.
- 28:01SPEAKER_15: Wait, so how how many, like, which schools have you been working in?
- 28:05SPEAKER_09: So I did eight years at Price and then four years at Brentwood, five years at Irwin, and then here.
- 28:12SPEAKER_15: Have you ever liked try have you ever thought about working at a high school?
- 28:15SPEAKER_09: No, I don't have cool enough shoes for that.
- 28:20SPEAKER_15: My next question is like do you like the old schools you used to work here, or do you like this school better?
- 28:27SPEAKER_09: I love I love Weiser Park because we provide our kids with some of the most well-rounded education.
- 28:33SPEAKER_09: They get to do all kinds of cool things here.
- 28:35SPEAKER_09: The stories you guys tell me, like you guys get to have fun and learn.
- 28:40SPEAKER_09: That's amazing.
- 28:41SPEAKER_15: I know, right?
- 28:42SPEAKER_09: And you guys beat us in basketball last year.
- 28:44SPEAKER_15: I know.
- 28:44SPEAKER_15: Our school is just so amazing.
- 28:46SPEAKER_15: We're amazing teachers like Mr.
- 28:48SPEAKER_15: Martone.
- 28:49SPEAKER_15: Yeah, it's very quality here.
- 28:50SPEAKER_15: Even though sometimes you can yell a lot.
- 28:52SPEAKER_15: Um it's okay though.
- 28:54SPEAKER_15: It's okay.
- 28:55SPEAKER_09: This is probably the loudest part of the hallway with Mr.
- 28:57SPEAKER_09: Martone down here and Mrs.
- 28:59SPEAKER_09: Farlow right above him.
- 29:00SPEAKER_15: Yeah, he'd be like, he's run, he runs in the halls.
- 29:03SPEAKER_09: Does he really?
- 29:04SPEAKER_09: You guys should start working on that.
- 29:07SPEAKER_15: You have any questions, Alexandra?
- 29:09SPEAKER_15: Yeah.
- 29:10SPEAKER_09: Why did you leave your old school?
- 29:12SPEAKER_09: So at the end of last year, my oldest daughter, her name's Adriana, she graduated high school, and I got a little bit sad because I was afraid of her going off to college.
- 29:22SPEAKER_09: And in the sadness and everything else, I decided to come hang out with my little one through the day.
- 29:30SPEAKER_09: So I wanted to be kind of closer to Jeremiah.
- 29:33SPEAKER_15: Do you have any answers?
- 29:36SPEAKER_15: Well, I have one more question.
- 29:37SPEAKER_15: Do you have a favorite student, like somebody with brays and like somebody who's like very pretty and had glasses?
- 29:45SPEAKER_09: You are definitely my favorite Madison.
- 29:47SPEAKER_15: Oh my god.
- 29:48SPEAKER_15: Thank you.
- 29:49SPEAKER_15: I wasn't expecting that answer.
- 29:52SPEAKER_15: How long did you work at your old school for?
- 29:55SPEAKER_09: Four years there.
- 29:56SPEAKER_15: Four years?
- 29:57SPEAKER_09: Yes.
- 29:58SPEAKER_15: Did you teach fifth grade or another grade?
- 30:00SPEAKER_09: All fifth grade since 2018.
- 30:03SPEAKER_15: Okay.
- 30:04SPEAKER_15: Well, that's it.
- 30:06SPEAKER_15: That's all the questions I have, and me and Alexandra have.
- 30:08SPEAKER_15: So we'll see you in the next round of questions or after.
- 30:12SPEAKER_09: Alright.
- 30:13SPEAKER_09: Thank you so much.
- 30:15SPEAKER_05: Stay tuned.
- 30:17SPEAKER_05: Hello, everybody.
- 30:19SPEAKER_05: Um, we are doing our interview with Mrs.
- 30:22SPEAKER_05: Farlow, and um it's with me and Elise.
- 30:28SPEAKER_05: Hello.
- 30:28SPEAKER_05: My name is Magnolia, and um Elise, do you want to say hi?
- 30:34SPEAKER_05: Well, first I wanted to say hi again.
- 30:36SPEAKER_05: Hello.
- 30:37SPEAKER_05: But also, we have some questions.
- 30:39SPEAKER_05: Oh, okay.
- 30:40SPEAKER_05: Okay, my first question is tell me, why did you decide to work at Weiser Park?
- 30:46SPEAKER_09: Uh, all of my children have come through Weiser Park, and there were two fifth grade positions open, and Mrs.
- 30:51SPEAKER_09: Wrecker and I have stayed together now since 2019, and we said, let's make the change, and I can come here and be with Jeremiah for his last two years of, well, three years of elementary school.
- 31:03SPEAKER_05: Wow, that's I'm excited.
- 31:06SPEAKER_05: That's a good reason.
- 31:07SPEAKER_05: It is.
- 31:08SPEAKER_09: Louise, well, I have what school did you go to?
- 31:12SPEAKER_09: I went to a lot of schools growing up because we moved.
- 31:15SPEAKER_09: I graduated from Heritage High School, which is in East Allen.
- 31:19SPEAKER_09: Uh, when I was in Fort Wayne Community Schools, I went to Bloomingdale in Fairfield.
- 31:25SPEAKER_09: That's good.
- 31:26SPEAKER_09: Lots of were they like good schools?
- 31:28SPEAKER_09: When I went to Fairfield, we it was a weird year where they did year-round education for a couple years.
- 31:34SPEAKER_09: And so we didn't get like the normal summer break, but we got breaks around like Thanksgiving and a break around like spring break that lasted almost a month.
- 31:44SPEAKER_09: Um, and it was really neat.
- 31:45SPEAKER_09: It was a totally different experience.
- 31:46SPEAKER_09: So I had a great time at Fairfield.
- 31:49SPEAKER_05: My second question is tell me, why do you like your no, do you like your students?
- 31:56SPEAKER_09: I absolutely love my students.
- 31:57SPEAKER_09: I love that we have such a creative, talkative group of kids because there's so much personality in my classroom.
- 32:03SPEAKER_05: Aw, thanks.
- 32:06SPEAKER_09: Well, why did you want to be a teacher?
- 32:10SPEAKER_09: So growing up uh wasn't always like the best life, and school was always my happy place.
- 32:18SPEAKER_09: Like this, the classroom was a place where like I did my best work, where I had all my friends, everything, and I said I kind of thought like this should always be my happy place.
- 32:28SPEAKER_09: And so I knew from the age of five that I wanted to teach when I was older.
- 32:33SPEAKER_05: Now we're doing the very serious question, okay?
- 32:37SPEAKER_09: Serious.
- 32:39SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 32:40SPEAKER_05: If you could if you had to choose would to um get a greyhound or a golden retriever, which would be Oh, golden all day, every day.
- 32:50SPEAKER_09: I love my golden retriever.
- 32:52SPEAKER_09: And greyhounds, have you seen them run?
- 32:54SPEAKER_09: I can't run that fast.
- 32:56SPEAKER_09: Okay, you have to be very serious.
- 32:58SPEAKER_05: You know that's so serious.
- 33:00SPEAKER_05: This is the most serious question ever.
- 33:02SPEAKER_05: It's like the most serious question ever in the entire world.
- 33:05SPEAKER_05: You need to pay attention.
- 33:07SPEAKER_05: Okay.
- 33:07SPEAKER_05: Why do you not like pickles?
- 33:10SPEAKER_09: I love pickles.
- 33:12SPEAKER_09: I just don't want them on my sandwich because they're too moist for a sandwich.
- 33:17SPEAKER_09: They should just be eaten on their own.
- 33:21SPEAKER_07: I agree.
- 33:23SPEAKER_07: We have a warning issued to Miss Marlowe.
- 33:26SPEAKER_07: Using the word moist on a podcast does get you a lifetime ban.
- 33:30SPEAKER_07: However, we will let it slide for your first episode.
- 33:34SPEAKER_09: Just this one.
- 33:35SPEAKER_09: Just this one.
- 33:36SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 33:37SPEAKER_09: Very hydrated.
- 33:38SPEAKER_09: But you still like pickles.
- 33:40SPEAKER_09: I like them, just not on things.
- 33:42SPEAKER_09: That's weird.
- 33:43SPEAKER_05: Okay, so what I do, I do um, I'll like put them on a paper towel and like dry them off, and then I'll put them on the sandwich.
- 33:52SPEAKER_09: It works.
- 33:52SPEAKER_09: That's actually a really, really smart thing that in 41 years I've never thought of.
- 33:57SPEAKER_09: Yeah, but what about your burger?
- 33:59unknown: I can't put it on a burger.
- 34:01SPEAKER_05: Okay, that is our interview with Mrs.
- 34:05SPEAKER_05: Harlow.
- 34:06SPEAKER_05: Bye.
- 34:06SPEAKER_05: Bye.
- 34:07SPEAKER_05: Stay quality.
- 34:08SPEAKER_05: Stay quality.
- 34:13SPEAKER_05: No quality.
- 34:14SPEAKER_05: Podcasters, and it's my turn to speak.
- 34:19SPEAKER_09: What's your routine when you get home?
- 34:22SPEAKER_09: Uh, so depending on the night, usually we get home, we always let the dogs out, and then Mrs.
- 34:28SPEAKER_09: Farl always kind of looks around the house for any dishes the kids didn't take care of the night before, and I get everything ready for dinner.
- 34:35SPEAKER_09: Um, and then I sit down for a little while.
- 34:40SPEAKER_14: Like I asked that question, yes.
- 34:42SPEAKER_14: Did you like the Madagascar Jr.
- 34:44SPEAKER_14: the musical?
- 34:46SPEAKER_09: I thought you they did it.
- 34:48SPEAKER_09: It was so funny, and it was so great, and I was glad that we got to watch it.
- 34:52SPEAKER_09: Um, it made me want to dance and sing and laugh at the same time.
- 34:56SPEAKER_09: So loved it.
- 34:57SPEAKER_09: Follow-up question.
- 34:59SPEAKER_14: Did you ever have any pets?
- 35:02SPEAKER_14: Follow-up question.
- 35:03SPEAKER_14: What did you like about it?
- 35:06SPEAKER_09: I think the dancing was a lot of fun.
- 35:09SPEAKER_09: The jokes were hilarious.
- 35:10SPEAKER_09: My favorite character, don't tell Zoe this, though.
- 35:13SPEAKER_09: I loved her, but the giraffe, hilarious.
- 35:16SPEAKER_09: Hilarious.
- 35:18SPEAKER_09: Shout out to Harrison.
- 35:19SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 35:20SPEAKER_09: Um, do you ever have you ever had any pets?
- 35:24SPEAKER_09: Oh, I have had so many pets.
- 35:26SPEAKER_09: Right now we have two dogs and three cats at our house.
- 35:29SPEAKER_14: Wow.
- 35:32SPEAKER_09: Not in our house, not to the animals, at least.
- 35:34SPEAKER_14: Ooh, okay.
- 35:36SPEAKER_09: What's your favorite food and why?
- 35:38SPEAKER_09: Pizza.
- 35:39SPEAKER_09: Always pizza.
- 35:40SPEAKER_09: There's so many different varieties of pizza.
- 35:42SPEAKER_09: You could have taco pizza, you could have pizza without toppings, you could have dessert pizza.
- 35:46SPEAKER_09: There's just so many pizzas.
- 35:48SPEAKER_14: Yeah, I've yeah, I'd be watching some shows that made like pizza variations, like pizza muffins, pizza bites.
- 35:55SPEAKER_09: One of my favorite things to do when I was in high school, I worked for Pizza Hut, and we would, before the store was open, we would like kind of make our own custom pizzas, and we made a Big Mac pizza once.
- 36:05SPEAKER_03: Oh wow.
- 36:06SPEAKER_03: Yeah.
- 36:08SPEAKER_03: Um, so for my funny question is have you ever woke up with at 2 a.m.
- 36:13SPEAKER_03: with John Poi tap dancing in your kitchen?
- 36:16SPEAKER_03: I have not.
- 36:21SPEAKER_14: I haven't.
- 36:23SPEAKER_14: Do you let kids in this school steal Mr.
- 36:25SPEAKER_14: Martone's stuff?
- 36:27SPEAKER_09: Oh no.
- 36:28SPEAKER_09: Kids steal Mr.
- 36:29SPEAKER_09: Martone's stuff?
- 36:31SPEAKER_09: You do sad.
- 36:33SPEAKER_09: Um, are they funny kids though?
- 36:37SPEAKER_14: Let's see here, maybe.
- 36:39SPEAKER_09: I'll let it slide.
- 36:42SPEAKER_14: Wow.
- 36:43SPEAKER_14: Same with the kids on this one.
- 36:47SPEAKER_03: Well, this is the quality podcast, and we're out.
- 36:51SPEAKER_03: Say quality.
- 36:55SPEAKER_03: Hello.
- 36:59SPEAKER_05: Hello.
- 36:59SPEAKER_05: And here's Ben.
- 37:01SPEAKER_05: Uh, we're back with some more uh interviewing with Miss Farlow.
- 37:06SPEAKER_05: So my first question is was the hard what was the hardest part of getting your job?
- 37:14SPEAKER_09: When I was in school, you had to create what was called a portfolio, and it ended up being anywhere it was like, you know how like you guys write do your writing assignments?
- 37:22SPEAKER_09: They would have you write like a 75 to 80 page paper.
- 37:26SPEAKER_09: Um, and then I did it all, and then they told me it wasn't necessary.
- 37:31SPEAKER_14: How old were you had to do that?
- 37:34SPEAKER_09: 22.
- 37:36SPEAKER_09: 22.
- 37:37SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 37:37SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 37:39SPEAKER_09: Uh how long did it take you to do that?
- 37:42SPEAKER_09: They give you about four months to complete it.
- 37:46SPEAKER_09: So you get like kind of like January to spring break.
- 37:51SPEAKER_09: Kind of that time.
- 37:56SPEAKER_05: Uh-huh.
- 37:58SPEAKER_05: Okay, so what school did you used to work at and why did you leave the school?
- 38:04SPEAKER_09: I used to work, the last school I worked at was Irwin.
- 38:06SPEAKER_09: And when Wiser Park was open, I knew Miss Plum really well because my kids have all gone to Wiser and she let me know about two fifth grade positions.
- 38:14SPEAKER_09: And I thought, man, me and my best friend could move over here, and I get to teach whether my son goes to school.
- 38:20SPEAKER_09: How cool is that?
- 38:21SPEAKER_09: Uh, pretty cool.
- 38:23SPEAKER_09: Pretty cool.
- 38:23SPEAKER_09: Yeah.
- 38:27SPEAKER_14: Um, but like, did you feel any like guilt when you left?
- 38:32SPEAKER_09: I do actually.
- 38:33SPEAKER_09: Um, I still stay in touch with some of my former students, but I know I had some siblings of former kids that were kind of coming up and they knew that they'd be either getting Miss Farlow or Mrs.
- 38:44SPEAKER_09: Wrecker.
- 38:44SPEAKER_09: Um, and when they found out we were leaving, they were kind of upset about it.
- 38:48SPEAKER_09: Wait, Miss Wrecker, like, you know, teached at the same school.
- 38:52SPEAKER_09: Mrs.
- 38:53SPEAKER_09: Wrecker and I are best friends.
- 38:54SPEAKER_09: We taught at Brentwood together.
- 38:56SPEAKER_09: We left Brentwood and went to Irwin together, and then we left Irwin and came to Weiser Park together.
- 39:00SPEAKER_14: Wait, so did you, you know, have the same guilt when you left, you know?
- 39:04SPEAKER_09: Yeah, every time.
- 39:06SPEAKER_09: Anytime I leave a school because I made a lot of relationships with kids, and it's always hard to say goodbye.
- 39:11SPEAKER_09: Uh right.
- 39:13SPEAKER_05: Okay, so here's my last question.
- 39:16SPEAKER_05: Uh, what was the worst failure in your life?
- 39:19SPEAKER_09: Okay.
- 39:20SPEAKER_09: Do you want like a failure like school or like a super embarrassing failure?
- 39:25SPEAKER_09: Like a super embarrassing failure.
- 39:27SPEAKER_09: Okay, so one night or one day when I was a teenager, a boy came to like where we lived in the country, and I was trying to like show off a little bit.
- 39:35SPEAKER_09: So I went to walk outside and it was muddy out, and I went to run to talk to him, and I slipped and I fell into a huge mud puddle right in front of him.
- 39:46SPEAKER_09: Um, to like a one to ten, how embarrassed.
- 39:50SPEAKER_09: I was it was like 14.
- 39:52SPEAKER_09: I got up and ran in the house and pretended I didn't exist.
- 39:55SPEAKER_09: How old were you when you like 13 or 14?
- 39:58SPEAKER_09: Uh yeah.
- 39:59SPEAKER_09: It was it was intense.
- 40:03SPEAKER_09: It was embarrassing.
- 40:05SPEAKER_14: Did you ever have a different job than like, you know, teaching?
- 40:12SPEAKER_09: Yes.
- 40:12SPEAKER_09: So I did insurance for a little bit.
- 40:14SPEAKER_09: Like I sold car insurance when I was in high school, but my favorite job other than teaching is I was a waitress for a long time, and I love waitressing.
- 40:22SPEAKER_09: Um because you get to meet all kinds of cool people.
- 40:24SPEAKER_05: So what was your like so this is all the time we have.
- 40:31SPEAKER_05: Oh stay quality.
- 40:32SPEAKER_05: Stay quality.
- 40:37SPEAKER_07: All right.
- 40:38SPEAKER_07: That is it for third grade's first episode.
- 40:41SPEAKER_07: We also want to thank very much Ms.
- 40:44SPEAKER_07: Farlow for doing her interview with our fifth graders.
- 40:48SPEAKER_07: So, Beatrix, today is the 29th of October.
- 40:53SPEAKER_07: I have a question for you though.
- 40:55SPEAKER_07: Um, what are you gonna be doing for Halloween?
- 40:59SPEAKER_10: So on Saturday evening, we're going to my cousin Juniper's house to share a treat, and then we're also going to my grandma's house.
- 41:06SPEAKER_07: Very cool.
- 41:07SPEAKER_07: Juniper, quality podcast alum.
- 41:09SPEAKER_07: She has been on the show.
- 41:10SPEAKER_07: Um, Devin, what are you doing for Halloween?
- 41:14SPEAKER_06: I I'm not sure, but as far as I know, uh on Saturday, I we might first we might go to my Aunt Tammy's house, and then um uh we're going to go trick-or-treating, and then probably after trick-or-treating, uh we'll like sort our candies out and trade with my cousins, trade the candies that we want and don't.
- 41:43SPEAKER_07: Wow, what a day.
- 41:44SPEAKER_07: Um Alice, what about you, bud?
- 41:46SPEAKER_07: What are you gonna do for Halloween?
- 41:47SPEAKER_08: I'm going trick-or-treating with one of my first grader friends, and um I am excited for Halloween and getting all that good candy.
- 42:00SPEAKER_07: That's right.
- 42:01SPEAKER_07: All right, so um what do you guys so next week um we're gonna do some more thankful, we're gonna start our thankfulness month for Thanksgiving.
- 42:11SPEAKER_07: So we're gonna get ready for wish some thankfulness.
