- 0:48Speaker 4: I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Candy. Good morning to you
- 0:53Speaker 4: out there listening. Land glad to be here with you.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Jay E t Chee chet Chet. How about them Cowboys?
- 1:04Speaker 4: I own you? I mean, he says nothing. I set
- 1:08Speaker 4: him up. You still are a Cowboy fan, don't you
- 1:10Speaker 4: command you? Great? Currently? Yes, Currently, what's with these people
- 1:14Speaker 4: who I don't get this thing? Hit a couple of
- 1:16Speaker 4: them up and they're telling me they're not Cowboy fans
- 1:19Speaker 4: this season? But you in contract negotiations with another team.
- 1:23Speaker 4: Michael Parsons. He said, currently he holding out watching the
- 1:28Speaker 4: games till they come to a new agreement.
- 1:31Speaker 6: Yeah, a lot of people like to feel like it's
- 1:33Speaker 6: a year to year thing.
- 1:34Speaker 4: If you're a cowboy, you gotta always be a cowboy. Correct.
- 1:40Speaker 6: Well, at some people jump ship this offseason, So now,
- 1:44Speaker 6: why did you jump ship?
- 1:45Speaker 4: I did not? Okay, why did they jump ship?
- 1:51Speaker 6: They were just I think it was partly public shame
- 1:56Speaker 6: and whatever. They didn't like how Jerry was handling the
- 2:01Speaker 6: Michael Parsons situation.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Now, what do they think that Jerry should have done.
- 2:08Speaker 6: That?
- 2:09Speaker 4: He should have just paid Michael Parsons. Why why should
- 2:14Speaker 4: I just have paid Michael Parsons? What part of the equation?
- 2:18Speaker 4: Now't they have a thing out on Netflix where Jerry
- 2:22Speaker 4: buys the team and after the first year he trades
- 2:27Speaker 4: Hershel Walker. He was able to take those trades, as
- 2:30Speaker 4: we famously know, and get a lot of draft picks
- 2:33Speaker 4: that eventually ended up being three Super Bowls. So why
- 2:39Speaker 4: have we already boxed this Michael Parson trade up to
- 2:42Speaker 4: be a failure And people thought the same thing about
- 2:47Speaker 4: trading Hershel Walker.
- 2:49Speaker 6: I think that the timing of it is, you know,
- 2:56Speaker 6: a player of Michael Parson's talent, you don't let that go?
- 3:01Speaker 6: Why not trade that, well, every every team needs pass rushers,
- 3:08Speaker 6: but I need multiple guys.
- 3:11Speaker 4: If I'm looking, I'm just because I hear people, and
- 3:14Speaker 4: it's like, I'm not saying that those people, or you,
- 3:19Speaker 4: or whoever feels that way is wrong. I'm saying, but
- 3:21Speaker 4: there is another side to it that I talk about, Like,
- 3:25Speaker 4: if you don't think you got the team, why are
- 3:28Speaker 4: you paying this person? I definitely know I talk about
- 3:31Speaker 4: it in the NBA. Why would you go pay some
- 3:35Speaker 4: guy to stay on your team when you ain't got
- 3:39Speaker 4: the team? Why would the Suns They'll go pay Devin
- 3:43Speaker 4: Booker two hundred and fifty million dollars just to continue
- 3:49Speaker 4: to be seventh in the West.
- 3:51Speaker 6: But I think with what I'm seeing a little bit
- 3:55Speaker 6: of the difference between with the NBA is that kind
- 3:59Speaker 6: of the rule of kind of incentivize players to stay
- 4:03Speaker 6: with their teams. The NFL doesn't have that same kind
- 4:07Speaker 6: of structure with as far as contracts go. But players
- 4:11Speaker 6: of Michael Parsons talent don't often hit the free agent
- 4:14Speaker 6: market in that way. They would normally stay with with
- 4:19Speaker 6: the team. So a trade being made like this, I
- 4:23Speaker 6: think just because it just happened, a couple of weeks
- 4:26Speaker 6: ago that it doesn't it seems like a mistake by
- 4:31Speaker 6: the Cowboys because of what they got for it, or
- 4:34Speaker 6: that if Parsons is one of the best pass rushers
- 4:38Speaker 6: in the league, you don't let you don't trade that guy.
- 4:40Speaker 6: You pay that guy to keep him on your team.
- 4:44Speaker 6: I understand what you're saying. As far as they're not
- 4:46Speaker 6: a Super Bowl contender, they don't look that way. So
- 4:49Speaker 6: I just keep paying you high numbers to be you
- 4:52Speaker 6: feel like if you're another player away, but you're taking
- 4:55Speaker 6: up the money for another player. I got a question,
- 4:58Speaker 6: and this.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Is that's the juggling, and this is just this is
- 5:04Speaker 4: the Dallas Cowboys for dummies question.
- 5:07Speaker 7: Just whatn't Michael Parsons like in the last year of
- 5:11Speaker 7: his contract? So he his rookie contract, right, No, So
- 5:16Speaker 7: so I'm saying just kind of like the.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Contract, yes or no, he was still in the contract.
- 5:22Speaker 6: But Austin as you as you will see with guys
- 5:25Speaker 6: who are undir rookie contract going into the fourth year
- 5:29Speaker 6: of that five year deal, that's when the uh contract
- 5:34Speaker 6: extensions come in and normally the fifth year, if there
- 5:38Speaker 6: is no contract agreed to, then that player may hold
- 5:45Speaker 6: that's where the holdouts come in, right, I understand those,
- 5:48Speaker 6: and I know some teams immediately cave to that kind
- 5:53Speaker 6: of pressure.
- 5:54Speaker 7: They immediately go, let's make the deal. And then some
- 5:57Speaker 7: teams don't negotiate with terrorists. Well, and you know, I'm
- 6:00Speaker 7: not calling like parsons of terrorists. I'm just saying some
- 6:03Speaker 7: people have said that I have in my contract given
- 6:08Speaker 7: you as much as I am agreeing to give you
- 6:11Speaker 7: in this span of time. We still got a year
- 6:15Speaker 7: left on that, and you want a brand new deal.
- 6:18Speaker 7: Now you get this brand new deal and it's guaranteed,
- 6:21Speaker 7: and then you game number one.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Tearing Achilles. You see what I'm saying.
- 6:28Speaker 7: So I really don't and even to what sports Jock's saying,
- 6:34Speaker 7: I can't pay for the ten person airbnb when only
- 6:40Speaker 7: three of us say we're showing up so that we're
- 6:43Speaker 7: rating resources at this point. So I think a lot
- 6:47Speaker 7: of people get offended and they getting their emotional feelings
- 6:51Speaker 7: when Jerry Jones talks about it like it doesn't matter
- 6:54Speaker 7: to him and he's the owner, when it matters so
- 6:57Speaker 7: much more to the fans. They seem like, you should
- 7:00Speaker 7: know this, and why wouldn't you do that? And he's
- 7:03Speaker 7: just kind of like, well, you know sometimes and sometime
- 7:05Speaker 7: we move along.
- 7:06Speaker 4: And if you add up to three, think, guys, I
- 7:08Speaker 4: think they've signed. Since it equated to what Michael Pardons
- 7:13Speaker 4: would have got on one deal, well, there was a
- 7:16Speaker 4: there was. It was the handshake deal reportedly that was
- 7:19Speaker 4: in place, but because the agent wasn't involved, Michael Parson said, well,
- 7:28Speaker 4: you know, talk with my agent. But then the deal
- 7:31Speaker 4: that was the handshake deal stayed the same. And I
- 7:35Speaker 4: don't know if you now, now what do you what
- 7:37Speaker 4: do the two of you think of that?
- 7:39Speaker 7: The general way that it's done is the agent speaks
- 7:43Speaker 7: through their athlete to the organization and vice versa. Uh,
- 7:48Speaker 7: the Cowboys don't believe in that you work for us.
- 7:53Speaker 7: We want to talk to you. Well, I want you
- 7:55Speaker 7: to talk to my agent. Do you believe that that's necessary.
- 7:58Speaker 7: That's how it was done this time. When with Dak
- 8:01Speaker 7: Prescott's contract, he still he from the beginning it was
- 8:05Speaker 7: talked to my agent. I think the mistake that was
- 8:09Speaker 7: made here with Michael Parsons, which which led to him
- 8:12Speaker 7: being traded, is that he talked to Jerry directly without
- 8:16Speaker 7: his agent, and then the deal was made there and
- 8:20Speaker 7: that's what Jerry stood by. And when Parsons tried to
- 8:24Speaker 7: go back and like, well, I want you to talk
- 8:26Speaker 7: to my agent. If they tried to get more money
- 8:28Speaker 7: or a different structure, then that's where negotiates.
- 8:32Speaker 4: And I'm just I'm a former player. I'm on the
- 8:36Speaker 4: player side, but I do understand that if I had
- 8:41Speaker 4: to go own the team and be a businessman a GM,
- 8:45Speaker 4: that these cases come up. Sometimes it's your team, sometimes
- 8:49Speaker 4: it's another team. And I know one of the keys
- 8:52Speaker 4: for me is to look to see if me locking
- 8:55Speaker 4: this guy up for one hundred million dollars, it's what's
- 8:59Speaker 4: going to put us over or I'm just gonna be
- 9:02Speaker 4: paying one hundred million dollars for a guy for the
- 9:04Speaker 4: next four years that he's gonna be the only guy
- 9:09Speaker 4: we have. And that's what ends up with a lot
- 9:12Speaker 4: of people. And I think a lot of teams makes
- 9:14Speaker 4: that mistake. Uh. And that's why I say sometimes it's
- 9:17Speaker 4: easier to show in basketball or in baseball, because you'll
- 9:22Speaker 4: go give what's the kid for the San Diego team
- 9:27Speaker 4: the baseball team to tease, Uh yeah, right, and I
- 9:32Speaker 4: lock you in And now I gotta wait and hope
- 9:37Speaker 4: that everything you. You know you still be the famous star.
- 9:42Speaker 4: I think you're gonna be without a chip.
- 9:45Speaker 7: That's that's sentimentality. You you you're hoping something works out
- 9:52Speaker 7: and general and see that's the difference. People who are,
- 9:57Speaker 7: in my opinion, captains of business don't take emotions into
- 10:01Speaker 7: the negotiating room or other people find it hard to
- 10:05Speaker 7: separate themselves from that emotion.
- 10:07Speaker 4: And sometimes teams wait too long to trade that piece
- 10:10Speaker 4: that could have benefited them. They had a piece that
- 10:14Speaker 4: could have got them four other pieces which they needed
- 10:18Speaker 4: more than the one piece. People were here in Atlanta
- 10:21Speaker 4: with Grady Jarrett, oh Man what they got. Well, I'm
- 10:26Speaker 4: not telling you they shouldn't have in a perfect world,
- 10:29Speaker 4: but I can see how they're saying, Man, we have
- 10:31Speaker 4: five places, we need some people, and you're eating up
- 10:37Speaker 4: the ability to hire three of them. Yeah, so we
- 10:42Speaker 4: which way do we want to go? That's math, and
- 10:46Speaker 4: that's just some people find themselves in that predicament. And
- 10:49Speaker 4: it's one of those things. As Michael Parson, you needed
- 10:53Speaker 4: some of those other guys to be playing at a
- 10:54Speaker 4: high level to wear the team like, oh, I'm gonna
- 10:57Speaker 4: keeping this whole defense intact.
- 10:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I need this I need this same squad to
- 11:01Speaker 7: run a bike, so we got to run this bike.
- 11:03Speaker 4: But great weekend of sports. I am tired. I mean
- 11:07Speaker 4: we started with the Cowboys and spitting hey hey, we
- 11:11Speaker 4: went in hey sir, We went to Brazil and got
- 11:14Speaker 4: a little booty shakes halftimes. That's that's not I had
- 11:19Speaker 4: a two hour rain delay from my high school game.
- 11:23Speaker 6: I didn't get home to like two am. Game was
- 11:25Speaker 6: supposed to start at seven thirty, it didn't kick off
- 11:27Speaker 6: to nine forty.
- 11:29Speaker 7: Five, had booty shaking a halftime in Brazil call called
- 11:32Speaker 7: pre schools.
- 11:33Speaker 4: That's pre k. That's pre k in Brazil. And then
- 11:37Speaker 4: yesterday we got some exciting games, the revival of Aaron
- 11:42Speaker 4: Rodgers against the Jets. At least four a week, and
- 11:45Speaker 4: then maybe you have to put it in your pocket.
- 11:49Speaker 4: But the game last night Bills Ravens could end up
- 11:54Speaker 4: being the best game of the year, of the about
- 11:58Speaker 4: eight ten, twelve weeks. And you see other games. Don't
- 12:01Speaker 4: forget like, oh that was because it happened so early.
- 12:04Speaker 4: And I was about to say, NFL, I hope you
- 12:06Speaker 4: didn't just serve all the best stuff. First, you came
- 12:10Speaker 4: out with the strip and the Stone with all the
- 12:12Speaker 4: meat up first. Here we are week number fourteen, and
- 12:18Speaker 4: you and some man and chips, y'all ain't got no dip,
- 12:21Speaker 4: no nothing left. We'll be back with the sports Shot
- 12:24Speaker 4: show right after this letter.
- 12:27Speaker 8: Man girls at the front door. Let a man girls
- 12:29Speaker 8: at the front door, that a man open the front door,
- 12:32Speaker 8: that a man when he at the front door, that
- 12:34Speaker 8: a rim gats at the front door. That a man, Hey,

- 15:52Speaker 4: Slum dug up. I'm just thinks you want to welcome
- 16:07Speaker 4: back to this boy, Shock Shoper. I'm this swoy Shock
- 16:09Speaker 4: Wayne Canny. Good morning to you, command you Greg mc
- 16:12Speaker 4: kenny the studio on the first Monday of NFL season,
- 16:19Speaker 4: which makes so many storylines. We're gonna get into that.
- 16:22Speaker 4: But as I said, we had a long weekend. A
- 16:24Speaker 4: lot of things happen Thursday, Friday, Saturday, this Phillies woman
- 16:32Speaker 4: and I said that way because I get offended myself
- 16:37Speaker 4: that somewhere in Gregg's woke culture people decided that it's okay.
- 16:47Speaker 4: And I know easily about ten different groups. If I
- 16:55Speaker 4: started plugging in something to represent who they are, would
- 17:01Speaker 4: be protesting. You keep calling this one group Karen's, but
- 17:10Speaker 4: if I turned that name into some Kunta oo Topin
- 17:16Speaker 4: ooh and some Shequito Kizzies and all other names, people
- 17:24Speaker 4: be mad. Somewhere you keep thinking you can label, and
- 17:31Speaker 4: you have decided that if someone of Caucasian female acts
- 17:37Speaker 4: a certain way. I can call them that. But if
- 17:41Speaker 4: the teacher at your school tell you to come get
- 17:44Speaker 4: Tyrone and your son named Jamaal, you swinging on them,
- 17:52Speaker 4: am I line. I'm just just tell me if I'm wrong.
- 17:56Speaker 4: Now you call your wife, Hey, you need to come
- 17:59Speaker 4: down here and get Tyrone day day. And you know
- 18:04Speaker 4: your son named Gregory Junior. I know she didn't. And
- 18:11Speaker 4: then you do it to the office and she said again,
- 18:13Speaker 4: So now you have realized she ain't make no mistake.
- 18:16Speaker 4: Now he's in here acting like day day. So when
- 18:20Speaker 4: this being a day day, and when you look at
- 18:23Speaker 4: the film, the lady could have had compassion for the boy.
- 18:29Speaker 4: The boy did not go get the ball. This incident
- 18:33Speaker 4: happened down the Phillies were playing the Marlins and Miammy.
- 18:38Speaker 4: The ball was hitting to the stands into one area.
- 18:42Speaker 4: The kid's dad came down to the area in which
- 18:46Speaker 4: the ball was going into the lady the ball fell
- 18:52Speaker 4: right in front of her in the bleachers. He came
- 18:56Speaker 4: about ten twelve seats down, the dad the boy. So
- 19:01Speaker 4: when they write these stories, and this is part of
- 19:03Speaker 4: what's going what's wrong for me in our country? We
- 19:07Speaker 4: moved the words around to try to indict somebody. There
- 19:12Speaker 4: is no little boy coming down the aisle to get
- 19:16Speaker 4: the ball from the lady. And then the lady goes
- 19:18Speaker 4: back down and takes the ball from the boy. The
- 19:21Speaker 4: boy's father came down in front of the lady, got
- 19:25Speaker 4: the ball, took it back to his son, and the
- 19:29Speaker 4: lady went down and told the dad, you can't come
- 19:33Speaker 4: do that. So the ball imagined just balls right in
- 19:38Speaker 4: front of you. Cometch, Big Kenny is not even in
- 19:43Speaker 4: your peripheral he's so far down. But he runs down.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Excuse me, excuse me, take the ball, get in front
- 19:49Speaker 4: of me, sir, excuse let me get back hey, excuse me,
- 19:51Speaker 4: excuse me. But they rot the story like the lady
- 19:54Speaker 4: and the boy was jousting for the ball.
- 19:56Speaker 6: That's how he wrote the story. I saw this because
- 20:00Speaker 6: of the day job. I saw this game, saw it
- 20:03Speaker 6: happen in real time.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Oh, biggest Karen in baseball steals ball from Key.
- 20:09Speaker 6: The thing is when it's a foul at this this
- 20:12Speaker 6: is what I understand etiquette to be at a baseball
- 20:15Speaker 6: game when it comes to a foul ball or a
- 20:17Speaker 6: home run ball. If you don't catch it, if you
- 20:22Speaker 6: drop it and someone else in front of you gets the.
- 20:25Speaker 4: Ball, that's it.
- 20:28Speaker 6: And so that's the issue that people had with this
- 20:30Speaker 6: woman is that it was unfair like she tried to
- 20:34Speaker 6: catch the ball. She she didn't catch it. The dad
- 20:38Speaker 6: was standing the row in front of her and picked
- 20:42Speaker 6: and got the ball.
- 20:42Speaker 4: No see, and that's why you didn't add the whole.
- 20:46Speaker 4: But where did the dad come from? He came from.
- 20:50Speaker 4: He came from. He came to the end of the road.
- 20:52Speaker 4: They weren't sitting His family was sitting on the other
- 20:55Speaker 4: end of the row. Correct.
- 20:57Speaker 6: But for even even if someone comes down to that
- 21:01Speaker 6: in the road and gets the ball that that no
- 21:04Speaker 6: one has, there's no like right to the ball. If
- 21:07Speaker 6: you catch it, you catch it. If you drop it
- 21:08Speaker 6: and someone else gets it, then you're out of that ball.
- 21:12Speaker 6: And and now, so the issue that the woman has
- 21:15Speaker 6: that like she's but she was complaining that that should
- 21:18Speaker 6: that was my brad, you didn't catch it.
- 21:20Speaker 4: But you're skipping to the out of the parts that
- 21:22Speaker 4: I'm not talking about. I'm talking about how the media
- 21:24Speaker 4: described the store. I have not seen where it was,
- 21:28Speaker 4: where it was or had some interaction woman with the boy.
- 21:32Speaker 7: The boy and and this is this is the thing
- 21:35Speaker 7: that I'm maybe confused on. Maybe I'm not up on
- 21:39Speaker 7: baseball etiquette, but uh, in all instances that I've been
- 21:45Speaker 7: aware of, if a home run ball is hit, the
- 21:48Speaker 7: person who has the right to the ball is the
- 21:53Speaker 7: one who either catches it. And then if there's a scramble,
- 21:57Speaker 7: it's usually for people within arm's length. You're in front
- 22:00Speaker 7: of me, you're behind me, or on the sides, and
- 22:03Speaker 7: we're all up. Like in the hell Mary grabbed for
- 22:07Speaker 7: the ball. If it goes to the ground, then we
- 22:10Speaker 7: can scrum for the ball at our feet. The video
- 22:14Speaker 7: I just watched this lady and I'm sure she probably
- 22:18Speaker 7: has never played Major League baseball, tried to catch the ball.
- 22:21Speaker 7: It hit the back of a seat and was kind
- 22:24Speaker 7: of I guess ricocheted, and this dude came running in
- 22:30Speaker 7: from what was nowhere near arms length, grabbed the ball
- 22:33Speaker 7: and walked it back to his son. Now she could
- 22:36Speaker 7: have had a chance to reach over and grab the ball.
- 22:39Speaker 7: All she had to do was step over one chair.
- 22:42Speaker 7: But and I'm not saying there's anybody who has a
- 22:45Speaker 7: right to the ball, but when it comes to etiquette,
- 22:48Speaker 7: when it comes to space and the tickets that we have.
- 22:51Speaker 4: Bought and all of that. You were nowhere near here.
- 22:54Speaker 7: And maybe it's just winners winners and you know, losers, weepers,
- 23:01Speaker 7: finders keepers kind of yeah, kind of thing.
- 23:03Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 23:04Speaker 6: That that that's my That's how I see it as
- 23:07Speaker 6: far as with this, because if the game was sold
- 23:10Speaker 6: out or someone was in that area, someone else is
- 23:14Speaker 6: in that area, and that dad couldn't come down to
- 23:16Speaker 6: the end of the road, then that dad doesn't.
- 23:17Speaker 4: Get that ball. But it's whoever gets the ball?
- 23:22Speaker 7: Well, well, and see there's there's no like and now
- 23:26Speaker 7: see so rule about it.
- 23:27Speaker 4: And based if that lady had the ball, had went
- 23:32Speaker 4: towards that dad and boy, and that lady had came
- 23:36Speaker 4: out of her step, went down twenty seats and got
- 23:38Speaker 4: the tuck the ball, who is he then? How would
- 23:42Speaker 4: he's going to address it? I don't know if he
- 23:44Speaker 4: would have done the same thing. But she got the ball,
- 23:48Speaker 4: then that's her ball. And how do we handle this?
- 23:50Speaker 4: And I've seen this.
- 23:51Speaker 7: Somebody catches a home run ball or kid grabs the
- 23:55Speaker 7: ball and someone just reaches over and grabs the ball
- 23:58Speaker 7: out of their hand and then they claim, well, I
- 24:01Speaker 7: got the ball. You might have caught it, but you
- 24:03Speaker 7: couldn't hold on to it, and then people go and
- 24:06Speaker 7: they get upset. No, that should have been their ball.
- 24:08Speaker 7: But if it's just finders keepers, then it's also survival
- 24:12Speaker 7: of the.
- 24:13Speaker 4: Fittest, isn't it.
- 24:14Speaker 7: I can take it from you, So if I physically
- 24:17Speaker 7: snatch it from you, I.
- 24:18Speaker 6: Think it's just dangerous ground. And then he I mean,
- 24:21Speaker 6: some people may look bad if they took it. Take
- 24:23Speaker 6: it from a kid. You know you saw it. I
- 24:26Speaker 6: only saw the US Open uh clip where the the
- 24:31Speaker 6: a kid got a hat autographed and then this man
- 24:34Speaker 6: came over and stole the hat from the kid. So
- 24:37Speaker 6: that may be where some other etiquette may come in
- 24:40Speaker 6: by taking the ball from a kid.
- 24:42Speaker 4: Well, why I paid the same amount of ticket. You're
- 24:44Speaker 4: in your in your analysis that then we at war? Now?
- 24:50Speaker 4: Is that not what he explained it? And that's all
- 24:52Speaker 4: I'm asking.
- 24:53Speaker 6: That whatever's going on, I may say, I'm saying it
- 24:58Speaker 6: may look bad if it was.
- 25:00Speaker 4: If it was if the kid.
- 25:02Speaker 6: Caught the ball and then she came down and like, no,
- 25:06Speaker 6: that should be mine, then you know she may she
- 25:08Speaker 6: may look bad. I don't know if the kid would
- 25:09Speaker 6: give her the ball. But whoever gets the ball, it's
- 25:13Speaker 6: their ball, Okay, not how I would view it.
- 25:19Speaker 4: I guess that's why the NFL charges you for throwing
- 25:22Speaker 4: the ball, because these kind of incidents can turn into fights.
- 25:25Speaker 4: And I don't like how the media tried to write
- 25:27Speaker 4: the story up, calling this lady a Karen, or that
- 25:30Speaker 4: they tried to make it seem like she took the
- 25:32Speaker 4: ball directly from that boy. She addressed the parent who
- 25:37Speaker 4: came down there and got the boy. That's etiquette. You
- 25:41Speaker 4: don't talk to my kid, you talk to me. Yeah.
- 25:44Speaker 4: And the dad, she didn't take it out the boy's glove.
- 25:47Speaker 4: The dad took the ball because he knew he was wrong,
- 25:50Speaker 4: out the boy's glove and gave it to the lady.
- 25:54Speaker 4: That doesn't make anything. Was he wrong. I'm quite sure
- 25:58Speaker 4: if he felt he was right, he wouldn't have gave
- 26:00Speaker 4: it a ball. She's explaining, you came to my area
- 26:07Speaker 4: minus keepers, all right, I'd like the bad produce already
- 26:11Speaker 4: in here right after this and then the pawn shop.
- 26:18Speaker 4: It's a good thank you, But if you can't run
- 26:23Speaker 4: a bet, jn't bowl.

- 29:13Speaker 4: Welcome back to this wy Shock show. I'm this war Shock,
- 29:15Speaker 4: Wayne Candy, Good morning to you. Monday night football tonight
- 29:20Speaker 4: the Minnesota Vikings traveling to Chicago. So you get J. J.
- 29:25Speaker 4: McCarthy should be starting for the Vikings and taking on
- 29:30Speaker 4: Caleb Williams, both of them in their second year. Carthy
- 29:34Speaker 4: missed most of last year with an injury. Caleb Williams
- 29:38Speaker 4: was the first pick for the Bears, looking for him
- 29:41Speaker 4: to take a step forward. After crying in his mom's
- 29:45Speaker 4: arms in the stands, he then went on to Chicago
- 29:49Speaker 4: to cry some more and got the coach fired. And
- 29:52Speaker 4: it was everybody's fault except his. And it went along
- 29:57Speaker 4: with what I told you about jumping in this stay
- 30:00Speaker 4: in the stands, excuse me and getting caddled by your
- 30:04Speaker 4: mother leads you to going to a professional team and
- 30:08Speaker 4: starting to be unprofessional and Braddy and that it's everybody's
- 30:13Speaker 4: not making it right for me to perform. Uh, And
- 30:17Speaker 4: I just like when guys finally have to hit that
- 30:23Speaker 4: wall and face and grow up to understand taking responsibility
- 30:30Speaker 4: team first. Before Caleb so we will see. Now you
- 30:34Speaker 4: got a new coach and you know and everything else.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Remember last year he was doing talking about you know what,
- 30:40Speaker 4: defense and receivers and you know these people have to
- 30:43Speaker 4: help you win, right, But we will see how that
- 30:46Speaker 4: works for the new generation gen Z. Y'all love to
- 30:51Speaker 4: just paymper and pet on him. But we'll get more
- 30:54Speaker 4: as we did. You drop them off at Uncle Kenny
- 30:57Speaker 4: House and Wanda. It was like watching the US Open
- 31:00Speaker 4: and congratulation to Alvarez, Carlos Alvarez winning his sixth major,
- 31:06Speaker 4: his second US Open in a row, and Ranya Sabalinka
- 31:10Speaker 4: on Saturdaday winning her second US Open in a row.
- 31:14Speaker 4: But I do know in that two weeks there was
- 31:16Speaker 4: a lot of crying. Everybody lose or struggle, they go
- 31:19Speaker 4: to crying, everybody throw. It used to be just John
- 31:24Speaker 4: McEnroe through his racket and as he tells you when
- 31:29Speaker 4: he retired, he was using those as tactics, uh, to
- 31:33Speaker 4: describe some time or distract the other player. Now everybody
- 31:37Speaker 4: is crying and weeping, and uh, it's just interesting to
- 31:41Speaker 4: watch gen Z take over and watch pro sports. Uh now,
- 31:46Speaker 4: and no matter what the sport is did, did and
- 31:48Speaker 4: Din McEnroe used to get penalized for that. Like now,
- 31:52Speaker 4: I don't think they penalize you or somehow reprimand you
- 31:59Speaker 4: for it. It's more looking for what upset you and
- 32:03Speaker 4: eliminating that in tennis. But you know when McEnroe used
- 32:07Speaker 4: to go and throw something, Hey, hey, you can't throwing things.
- 32:12Speaker 4: That's a point, man, Somebody get this guy. It wasn't
- 32:15Speaker 4: as well received as it is now. In Thursday Night's Action,
- 32:20Speaker 4: the Cowboys played the Eagles. It started off in a
- 32:26Speaker 4: way with Jalen Carter spitting on Dak Prescott. That was
- 32:31Speaker 4: a big conversation over the week people because a lot
- 32:36Speaker 4: of people don't like that. I mean, let's be honest,
- 32:40Speaker 4: and since that is the driving force on how people
- 32:43Speaker 4: perceive you as a player, it's so what I actually
- 32:49Speaker 4: do doesn't matter. It is how you feel about what
- 32:51Speaker 4: I actually do. I think that's the that makes me
- 32:54Speaker 4: the player. That's the reaction. A lot of people had
- 33:00Speaker 4: that because, Okay, if Dak spit in his direction but
- 33:05Speaker 4: it was on the ground, does that mean that Jalen
- 33:11Speaker 4: Carter is allowed to spit on him. No, So the in.
- 33:20Speaker 6: That case, I would well, Dak started it by spitting
- 33:24Speaker 6: in his direction.
- 33:25Speaker 4: But he didn't spit on him. No, he did not
- 33:28Speaker 4: spit on Jalen Carter. Jayleen Carter felt that way. As
- 33:32Speaker 4: I said, gen Z and all the emotions lead them
- 33:37Speaker 4: to get kicked out before the game even starts. Now,
- 33:40Speaker 4: the Eagles were still able to win without their star tackle.
- 33:45Speaker 4: And he accepted all the responsibilities. If he was smart,
- 33:49Speaker 4: he just got him a sack. And while he was
- 33:51Speaker 4: laying there, he just opened his mouth and let the
- 33:53Speaker 4: slob go down on Dak as he sacked on him.
- 33:58Speaker 4: It's open your mouth and then just fall down on
- 34:02Speaker 4: his face. That I'm just telling you what guys used
- 34:07Speaker 4: to do. I feel like someone's done that, but he
- 34:15Speaker 4: did it right there in front of the referee. And
- 34:18Speaker 4: I know, but you know how many people have been
- 34:21Speaker 4: the second guy to do something to the point Commentators
- 34:25Speaker 4: tell you that. And in any kind of basketball, the
- 34:29Speaker 4: first guy through the quick elbow and then the second guy,
- 34:32Speaker 4: they catch the second guy. It's the same thing in football,
- 34:36Speaker 4: they catch the second guy. So unfortunately, and yours hit
- 34:40Speaker 4: the mark her right on the eighth and guy.
- 34:50Speaker 7: And I'm just saying, I don't know if there's a
- 34:54Speaker 7: a an exception for personal outrage when it comes to
- 34:58Speaker 7: being penalized. But if we want to get on the
- 35:01Speaker 7: wrong foot, let some spit come out of your mouth
- 35:05Speaker 7: on me. And we ain't never going to be the
- 35:07Speaker 7: same again. I'm saying we can't never go back. We
- 35:11Speaker 7: can never go back from that moment, and we are
- 35:14Speaker 7: forever changed after that. We could both go into the
- 35:17Speaker 7: Hall of Fame at the same time, and we will.
- 35:20Speaker 7: I'll still look at you like, yeah, right on, we
- 35:24Speaker 7: will never be the same again.
- 35:26Speaker 4: Well, the Eagles winning that game, close game to start
- 35:30Speaker 4: their season off one, and oh the Cowboys now in
- 35:34Speaker 4: a tough division with the Eagles. The Commanders have to
- 35:40Speaker 4: always remember to get that right. I'm sorry for that pause.
- 35:43Speaker 4: I keep going because I played against the other team
- 35:48Speaker 4: of the Washington team. So when you say Washington the
- 35:51Speaker 4: first I still haven't reprogrammed my mind to say the Commanders.
- 35:56Speaker 6: If I call them like the former Washington ours, I
- 35:59Speaker 6: don't know.
- 36:02Speaker 4: Ours. And then Thursday, down in Brazil, the Chiefs took
- 36:07Speaker 4: on the Chargers, Chargers getting them a win against the Chiefs,
- 36:12Speaker 4: a tough game for both. I just feel like that
- 36:15Speaker 4: first game should not be out of the country.
- 36:17Speaker 7: I was going to ask about that, especially that far.
- 36:21Speaker 7: You know, I could have seen Tijuana that's not that far,
- 36:25Speaker 7: but still played in Mexico City.
- 36:27Speaker 6: But I think one thing that the NFL is using
- 36:30Speaker 6: for that though, is uh, it's the same time zone,
- 36:34Speaker 6: So it's not really a big deal going to Brazil.
- 36:38Speaker 6: You're still still East Coast well time.
- 36:41Speaker 4: Just like any team will tell you that they want
- 36:43Speaker 4: their home games at home. Now, Unfortunately, somebody got somebody
- 36:48Speaker 4: got to go to on the road. They were both
- 36:50Speaker 4: in Brazil, and that has nothing to do with the
- 36:52Speaker 4: Chiefs losing the game. I just feel like, same thing
- 36:58Speaker 4: with the super Bowl. All first week games need to
- 37:01Speaker 4: be on our sword. We can start this next week.
- 37:04Speaker 4: What it would it had changed anything to have this
- 37:08Speaker 4: game next Friday now? And you're like, it wouldn't have
- 37:14Speaker 4: changed anything, Like, it's not like you're making it's timely
- 37:17Speaker 4: another amount they could charge for streaming charge changed that.
- 37:24Speaker 4: But the Chargers winning that game in Brazil, they had
- 37:30Speaker 4: some Carol g have time performer and that's not that
- 37:35Speaker 4: wasn't kid friendly, no or outfit. And so I don't
- 37:41Speaker 4: want to hear any more of about Janet Jackson and
- 37:46Speaker 4: Justin Timberley. If Carol G can show Big Kenny all
- 37:50Speaker 4: that listen, now listen now some of us it's not
- 37:55Speaker 4: it wasn't family friendly. Am I did I get see
- 37:57Speaker 4: it wrong? Com No, it didn't. She's it's not. Uh,
- 38:03Speaker 4: it's not kid friendly music. It's not for kids. But
- 38:07Speaker 4: the NFL says they are. Well, now, this is something
- 38:11Speaker 4: I want to ask Brazil. Now, that's what I want
- 38:14Speaker 4: to since is that going to be the explanation that
- 38:20Speaker 4: we get when we have to consume this content. I
- 38:24Speaker 4: tuned in for the football and I caught Carol G.
- 38:28Speaker 7: Well, it's not in the United States, and you know
- 38:30Speaker 7: sometimes outside of the United States, sensibilities are different.
- 38:34Speaker 4: Yay team?
- 38:35Speaker 7: Is it going to be like that? Or am I
- 38:37Speaker 7: going to have to be on high alert every time
- 38:40Speaker 7: they play outside of the country. You were supposed to
- 38:43Speaker 7: know how it go down in Brazil? Yes, high alert? No, No,
- 38:48Speaker 7: I get that. If no, you don't know how I
- 38:51Speaker 7: go down in Brazil, I'd have guessed that if it
- 38:53Speaker 7: were the after party, everybody know how I go down
- 38:56Speaker 7: in Brazil.
- 38:56Speaker 4: But we bringing out Grandmama Cake in three minutes and
- 38:59Speaker 4: she's gonna blow it out, and y'all said, we got
- 39:01Speaker 4: something for y'all real fast, Grandmama, and this what we
- 39:05Speaker 4: get this because it's in Brazil, y'all didn't want to
- 39:08Speaker 4: tell me that this was it. And that's all. Even
- 39:10Speaker 4: though people know that the air is a little different
- 39:13Speaker 4: in Amsterdam from what they say, very very different. Care test. Yeah,
- 39:18Speaker 4: you know, kind of like Dion said that Colorado in
- 39:21Speaker 4: the second quarter the air changes. Yeah, he said some
- 39:25Speaker 4: about the second quarter go to smoking. Yeah.
- 39:27Speaker 7: Well, I'm saying now, and that's fine. It would seem
- 39:31Speaker 7: like for outside of the sporting event, but for that
- 39:36Speaker 7: to go into the ticket price, y'all, y'all wait to this,
- 39:40Speaker 7: Carol g you know what I mean. I just thought
- 39:42Speaker 7: that that was a little bit much for them to
- 39:44Speaker 7: be offering that up as it's Brazil.
- 39:47Speaker 4: And that's what I'm saying. We'll see so when they

- 42:33Speaker 3: I'll sing even very canny.
- 42:37Speaker 4: Welcome back to the sport Shock Show, The Sports Shock
- 42:40Speaker 4: Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out there and listening land.
- 42:45Speaker 4: We are running through the weekend of uh sports guys,
- 42:49Speaker 4: any game from high school or college you want to
- 42:53Speaker 4: bring up, we can also hit on those as well.
- 42:56Speaker 4: On the college scene. This weekend it was kind of
- 42:58Speaker 4: like soft at Saturday, where you had a lot of
- 43:05Speaker 4: teams playing teams they paid to come play them. That's
- 43:12Speaker 4: typically when you look. The SEC went on record before
- 43:16Speaker 4: the season to make sure that everybody knew they're doing
- 43:19Speaker 4: nine conference games, so it used to be eight. They're
- 43:22Speaker 4: doing nine out of twelve. That gives you three weeks.
- 43:27Speaker 4: Typically one of those three is homecoming where you get
- 43:30Speaker 4: to invite someone, and one is typically so that you
- 43:35Speaker 4: can keep up whatever rivalry right that you have. So
- 43:40Speaker 4: however the schedule, Yeah, if you got some certain rivalry
- 43:44Speaker 4: you want to keep, you can keep that week and
- 43:47Speaker 4: that other game typically is what we saw this weekend.
- 43:51Speaker 4: For a lot of teams, even if they played a
- 43:52Speaker 4: tough opponent the first week was in that first two games,
- 43:56Speaker 4: they pay somebody to come play them. So that's all
- 44:01Speaker 4: On the Saturday, I think the upset University of South
- 44:04Speaker 4: Florida beat Florida, right, I do know that, And it
- 44:07Speaker 4: was one other upset that I'm trying to think of
- 44:13Speaker 4: unranked Peter. But other than that kind of slow a
- 44:16Speaker 4: big Kenny.
- 44:16Speaker 7: You went out to see Southern miss play Jacksons State,
- 44:19Speaker 7: and this is you mentioned rivalry, You mentioned paid games,
- 44:23Speaker 7: things like that. A lot of those games used to
- 44:26Speaker 7: have some sort of chip on my shoulder aspect to it. Yeah,
- 44:30Speaker 7: you're paying me, but we're gonna come down and show
- 44:33Speaker 7: you that we could compete. And what I saw this
- 44:36Speaker 7: weekend with Southern miss versus Jackson State in Hattiesburg seemed
- 44:41Speaker 7: like we just wanted feel good football. Nobody was grounding
- 44:46Speaker 7: and pounding. The band performed together two powerhouse programs, one
- 44:56Speaker 7: unified sound, and I was like, what when did when
- 44:59Speaker 7: did we we aren't doing that?
- 45:01Speaker 4: When do we start having a joint And from the
- 45:04Speaker 4: home side they spelled out US in both bands and
- 45:07Speaker 4: from the visitor side you could see JSU and I
- 45:11Speaker 4: also saw the effects of what seemed to be the
- 45:14Speaker 4: transfer portal. It's a SWACK versus SBC school.
- 45:19Speaker 7: Uh, there's supposed to be a difference, but they about
- 45:22Speaker 7: the same size, same speed, but the same. But there's
- 45:25Speaker 7: a guy that goes to jack and State though probably
- 45:27Speaker 7: jumping to portal and be at USM in two weeks,
- 45:31Speaker 7: and the guy from USM will be at Mississippi State somewhere.
- 45:34Speaker 4: Yeah, who won the game? Southern did so.
- 45:39Speaker 7: And they started pulling away at the end of the
- 45:42Speaker 7: game when where it should have been. Usually it's one
- 45:46Speaker 7: of those beat you so bad, make you kind of
- 45:49Speaker 7: wonder if you want the money next time things.
- 45:51Speaker 4: But you know now, it wasn't like that at all.
- 45:54Speaker 4: I wonder in those because I was in the band
- 45:57Speaker 4: in high school and there I do know that when
- 46:02Speaker 4: I've seen that, and I love going to bland contest,
- 46:04Speaker 4: I was wondering maybe the joint well, I don't know
- 46:08Speaker 4: what it could have been. It could have been to
- 46:11Speaker 4: show some kind of unity, right. It could have also
- 46:13Speaker 4: been that maybe one of them that routine is long,
- 46:17Speaker 4: so it wouldn't leave time for the other band. It's
- 46:21Speaker 4: a way to get both bands on the field in
- 46:24Speaker 4: that twenty minutes. Well, you know some of those top
- 46:28Speaker 4: notch bands, yeah, take a long time.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Now.
- 46:31Speaker 7: This is the thing sports Jack I projected onto it
- 46:35Speaker 7: that the band's presentation is so culturally different. The sonic
- 46:43Speaker 7: Boom of the South is R and B pop music,
- 46:48Speaker 7: very fast paced. The Pride of Southern miss is very
- 46:54Speaker 7: traditionally dont don.
- 46:57Speaker 4: Sports football kind of band.
- 47:00Speaker 7: And they got together and did a Cupid's uh flex
- 47:06Speaker 7: shuffle is what they played. So it's something that you
- 47:10Speaker 7: would hear at a tailgate and everybody can gather around
- 47:14Speaker 7: and it seemed to me like they were making concerted
- 47:17Speaker 7: effort to present that we are one image. There is
- 47:21Speaker 7: no us in them. We just all having fun in
- 47:24Speaker 7: the spirit of football and fellowship there.
- 47:27Speaker 4: So none of you are up there yelling get those
- 47:29Speaker 4: Karens off the field. Ah, did I hear Karen?
- 47:34Speaker 18: No?
- 47:34Speaker 4: Because there they wouldn't have known who to grab at.
- 47:36Speaker 4: Southern Miss. You get that, Karen, and all of the
- 47:40Speaker 4: women would have been like, not me her So Southern Miss.
- 47:44Speaker 4: Jackson State. Did your team win this weekend? Florida State? Yes,
- 47:49Speaker 4: we did. Okay, y'all in the top ten ranking out
- 47:51Speaker 4: he see that?
- 47:57Speaker 6: I didn't. I didn't. I didn't look at the rank.
- 48:00Speaker 6: I can't wait to get it played East Texas A
- 48:05Speaker 6: and M. And I don't even know where that is
- 48:08Speaker 6: that it's in Texas.
- 48:09Speaker 4: Oh, you're guessing that could be Oklahoma somewhere and they
- 48:14Speaker 4: just call it East Texas.
- 48:16Speaker 6: It could be that. So say the Kansas City Chiefs
- 48:20Speaker 6: play in Kansas. No, Kansas City, Missouri. I don't know
- 48:28Speaker 6: if there a Texas. There might be a Texas City, Oklahoma.
- 48:31Speaker 4: So well, this weekend, as I said, I had a
- 48:36Speaker 4: rain delay up in Uh. It was Cartersville versus Calhoun.
- 48:41Speaker 4: For you that do keep up with college football, Cartersville
- 48:45Speaker 4: has a receiver, Brady mccazy. He's going to Georgia. Real
- 48:52Speaker 4: deal again from Cartersville. That's the real that's unheard of.
- 48:59Speaker 4: Like wow, I never really seen anybody from Cartersville come
- 49:02Speaker 4: out except for like nine of the last guys came
- 49:07Speaker 4: out of Cartersville. Cartersville running Brown, Trevor Lawn so those guys.
- 49:12Speaker 4: But they have a receiver up there. He's when you
- 49:15Speaker 4: see him at Guga next year the year after. I remember,
- 49:19Speaker 4: I said he was fast, big, aggressive. He looked like
- 49:25Speaker 4: a boy playing a men playing boy sports. You mentioned
- 49:29Speaker 4: the rain delay, and you may have clarified it for
- 49:32Speaker 4: me before, but what is the rule with rain? How
- 49:34Speaker 4: long do we have to wait each time that lightning
- 49:38Speaker 4: is spotted within a eight I think it's eight miles,
- 49:42Speaker 4: no more than ten. I want to say it's eight
- 49:44Speaker 4: miles of the stadium. Then the clock stops and goes
- 49:51Speaker 4: back and it's like thirty minutes. So the game was
- 49:56Speaker 4: supposed to kick off at seven thirty, and we kicked
- 49:58Speaker 4: all close to about mind forty two because said lightnings right.
- 50:07Speaker 4: So each time they're spotted and I made the joke.
- 50:10Speaker 4: I made the joke when I played until the lightning
- 50:12Speaker 4: hit somebody. They never Yeah, we never had Okay, time out,
- 50:20Speaker 4: time out, somebody get him off of their come on,
- 50:22Speaker 4: back up, get it so we'll be back more a
- 50:25Speaker 4: sports Shock show right after this.
- 50:28Speaker 2: I don't really know.

- 51:45Speaker 22: counterfeit pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about
- 51:50Speaker 22: the size of a few grains of sand, could potentially
- 51:52Speaker 22: be lethal. This isn't an ad to scare you, but
- 51:55Speaker 22: it isn't ad to make you think twice. Get the facts.
- 51:58Speaker 22: Go to real Deal on fentone on dot com. This

- 52:34Speaker 8: Go Chame player one of dollars Champagne players.
- 52:37Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the sports
- 52:39Speaker 4: shock wing can Deconmanchic, Greg Big Kenney, and now the
- 52:43Speaker 4: bad producer is in the bill Dingus Rise Up has
- 52:48Speaker 4: decided to come on in. Yeah, we're here. We still here.
- 52:52Speaker 4: So we got a loss al over here for the Jets,
- 52:55Speaker 4: we got a l over here for the Cowboys, and
- 52:58Speaker 4: we have an l over here well what I used
- 53:01Speaker 4: to know as the dirty Birds, and we got it.
- 53:04Speaker 4: I own you, I own you. Yesterday going down to
- 53:10Speaker 4: the game, I did go to the game to catch
- 53:13Speaker 4: Michael Pennix and his starting debut for the season twenty
- 53:20Speaker 4: three to twenty. Baker Makefield was able to drive his
- 53:24Speaker 4: team down late. They did miss that extra point which
- 53:29Speaker 4: gave the Falcons some hope, and then the Falcons I
- 53:33Speaker 4: missed the forty four yard field goal to tie the
- 53:37Speaker 4: game up. Oh are you looking like that?
- 53:40Speaker 6: I like, I mean were There are a lot of
- 53:43Speaker 6: missed kicks yesterday as far as like with extra points,
- 53:47Speaker 6: and I mean it's some field goals are missed, but
- 53:49Speaker 6: it seemed like every kicker missed at least one kick
- 53:54Speaker 6: at some point in the game. I just felt like
- 53:56Speaker 6: there was there was more than was enough to where
- 54:00Speaker 6: like it seemed like everybody's missing kicks. Well, Chris Boswell
- 54:04Speaker 6: did not miss his for the Stealers. He kicked the
- 54:06Speaker 6: sixty yard field goal against the Jets. Hey, I think
- 54:10Speaker 6: we I think we've gone over that. We went through
- 54:14Speaker 6: it at the top of the hour. That was like
- 54:16Speaker 6: right before the breaking hour, and we back on this.
- 54:23Speaker 4: Stealers. Joey was the record. That was the record for
- 54:26Speaker 4: the Stellers. That was the longest twig Get hour put
- 54:32Speaker 4: your team because I was watching the Stiller game because
- 54:35Speaker 4: I have to do this the Steller Squad show right
- 54:38Speaker 4: after the game. So I left right at the fourth quarter,
- 54:41Speaker 4: drove home. I watched the game on the phone. But
- 54:45Speaker 4: I gave Matt kudos to Justin Fields. I even called
- 54:51Speaker 4: him Justin Young because he looked like Steve Young for
- 54:54Speaker 4: a day. He looked like what the Bears imagined when
- 54:58Speaker 4: they drafted him. Like the first time I saw him
- 55:02Speaker 4: play and thought, there it is because first round to
- 55:08Speaker 4: show you that, they'll show you even if their career
- 55:11Speaker 4: doesn't go like you think, they give you that moment
- 55:14Speaker 4: where it's like, oh that's what they was hoping. The
- 55:17Speaker 4: bottle upright and keep pouring right. That's that's heines fifty seven.
- 55:22Speaker 4: They was hoping to get that hold on, hold on
- 55:23Speaker 4: right there, Let's get that all in the bottle and
- 55:26Speaker 4: do that every week. And he looked like that yesterday.
- 55:29Speaker 4: He looked poised when he was leaving the pocket, he
- 55:33Speaker 4: was escaping, he was keeping his shoulder square. He looked
- 55:37Speaker 4: like he knew where the receivers were when he was leaving.
- 55:41Speaker 4: A lot of time, when you go back, he would
- 55:43Speaker 4: just start running. He put his head down and lose.
- 55:46Speaker 4: And yesterday he looked for the you know, and sometimes
- 55:49Speaker 4: it takes a while for guys, and this is Justin's
- 55:53Speaker 4: fourth fifth year or fourth fifth, fifth year.
- 55:57Speaker 7: And takes it takes a little while. And somebody going,
- 56:00Speaker 7: right now, you're gonna end up out of lead, it
- 56:03Speaker 7: really does. You're gonna keep on your job. He looked
- 56:05Speaker 7: nice yesterday. Yes I ever saw him. Yeah, Aaron Rodgers
- 56:10Speaker 7: just looked nice, sir at that moment. And you said
- 56:13Speaker 7: something that about the fourth time that you mentioned that.
- 56:17Speaker 7: I thought it was interesting, uh, that that was for
- 56:21Speaker 7: yesterday's game. We don't know if Rogers will be able
- 56:24Speaker 7: to sustain this for an entire season, but he got
- 56:26Speaker 7: up for the occasion yesterday and there was no tonight.
- 56:30Speaker 4: Yeah, his body is fresh. He took a couple of
- 56:32Speaker 4: hits and you have to see. Uh, Aaron Rodgers will
- 56:36Speaker 4: be forty two in December, and the same thing with
- 56:40Speaker 4: Justin Fields. You just hope he can stay that way.
- 56:45Speaker 4: Some guys. They can just show Sam Darnold, who's out
- 56:49Speaker 4: with the Seahawks. He looks like he maybe he's reverting
- 56:52Speaker 4: back because he's not in that that hot streak anymore.
- 56:57Speaker 4: The zone now, he's kind of going back to what
- 56:59Speaker 4: he wants. But you hope that some of these guys,
- 57:02Speaker 4: because we do need these young guys to pan out
- 57:06Speaker 4: if we want to enjoy football. So many of them
- 57:09Speaker 4: are not.
- 57:10Speaker 19: So go ahead, No, I was just since you was
- 57:12Speaker 19: at the game yesterday, what did you see as far
- 57:15Speaker 19: as like takeaway? I mean, as far as the Foalcons defense,
- 57:20Speaker 19: we supposed to have gotten our defense a little bit better,
- 57:23Speaker 19: but let us down right there in the secondary part
- 57:26Speaker 19: of it. I think as far as the the D
- 57:30Speaker 19: line played real well, the offense played well, but just
- 57:32Speaker 19: we had a little problem with the secondary special teams.
- 57:36Speaker 4: I don't even know how to judge special teams. Yeah,
- 57:39Speaker 4: that's another thing too. This kickoff thing. Everybody just stands
- 57:42Speaker 4: and waits to the guys, and thats to be you
- 57:47Speaker 4: know what I'm saying. That's for said, that's the safety.
- 57:49Speaker 4: Now now you're penalized if you kick the ball in
- 57:53Speaker 4: the end zone. The new rule this year is that
- 57:57Speaker 4: nobody moves until the up man and the back man
- 58:02Speaker 4: catches the ball. Then everybody moves. So that's how they
- 58:05Speaker 4: changed it. And the kicker now is to kick the
- 58:09Speaker 4: ball in. If he kicks it in the end zone,
- 58:13Speaker 4: they instantly get the ball at the thirty five right.
- 58:16Speaker 4: That's why you saw a lot of returns yesterday. So
- 58:19Speaker 4: now what the kicker used to do was just kick
- 58:23Speaker 4: the ball in the end zone. Coach, kick it on
- 58:25Speaker 4: what let me ask.
- 58:25Speaker 6: This now they giving you are trying to like it's safety,
- 58:30Speaker 6: but we also want returns.
- 58:33Speaker 4: And this is the question.
- 58:35Speaker 19: Think about the kick returns from the day when Dion
- 58:38Speaker 19: or Drake Homers or the guys.
- 58:40Speaker 4: Like the.
- 58:42Speaker 19: Just with us with Hester, it was a different type
- 58:46Speaker 19: of kick off of the kick when you score. So
- 58:47Speaker 19: this looks like this may be a little bit easier
- 58:49Speaker 19: to break it and you don't have it. Listen, it's
- 58:56Speaker 19: the one part of football that makes me. The saddest
- 58:58Speaker 19: is what they have done to kick off. Now I
- 59:03Speaker 19: can't even on side kick.
- 59:05Speaker 4: Yeah, that's you. Gotta tell him. I gotta go here
- 59:08Speaker 4: and tell you. Excuse me, sir, I'm giving you some
- 59:11Speaker 4: strategy in an effort to win this game.
- 59:16Speaker 7: My team and I have prepared to use some strategy
- 59:20Speaker 7: to throw you off balance and get an advantage in
- 59:23Speaker 7: this game.
- 59:24Speaker 4: Yes, oh you're gonna bunt. We're not. We're not coming
- 59:27Speaker 4: in through Cali. We are storming the beaches of Normandy.
- 59:31Speaker 4: So we thought we'd let you know that the invasion
- 59:34Speaker 4: is not in Cali. I know, we kind of sent
- 59:37Speaker 4: some false information hold on that we were going to

- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Shower. I'm the Sports
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning till you end this thing
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: Land Monday Night football here the Vikings and the Bears
- 1:02:04Speaker 4: tonight eight point fifteen. We ended the last segment. Just
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: so you'll know. Those references were from World War Two.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: I'm a big history guy, so when I said Cali,
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: not Cali, California, the Allied forces pretended as dough. They
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: made up a whole bunch of prop planes and balloon
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: tanks and made it seem like General Patton was about
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: to lead about a million men through Cali, France across
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: the canal. This was d Day and because they Hitler
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: sent almost a million men thinking they were coming that way,
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: and American forces came through the beaches of Normandy. So
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: that's why I was making that reference. If you're trying
- 1:02:55Speaker 4: to the same thing with the kickoff, I got to
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: come over here and tell you just half on side
- 1:03:02Speaker 4: kick is surprised and.
- 1:03:04Speaker 7: See, this is this is why, this is why America
- 1:03:08Speaker 7: has never been greater than right now, because you have
- 1:03:11Speaker 7: to explain that to Americans.
- 1:03:13Speaker 4: Yes, you do have to explain it to them. You
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: have to really the history. The woke, the wokies, they.
- 1:03:20Speaker 7: Pulled it out of school. We couldn't teach how we
- 1:03:23Speaker 7: kicked the crap out of Hitler. But they don't have
- 1:03:27Speaker 7: history no more school. They don't teach it the way
- 1:03:31Speaker 7: you from an American perspective. They don't teach that we
- 1:03:34Speaker 7: went and kicked the crap out of the crowds. Oh
- 1:03:37Speaker 7: so the kids don't know now they say that we
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: had a skirmish and a mile disagreement.
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: Between nights among in nineteen forty five, we were just
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: arguing sex. Hundred million people died in war. Well, in today's.
- 1:03:57Speaker 7: History books, it says in that same amount of time,
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: they had a uh, a spirited kerfuffle, and over one
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: hundred million participants made the ultimate sacrifice.
- 1:04:14Speaker 4: In this in the kerfuffle, the spirited kerfuffle. It's not
- 1:04:18Speaker 4: just a kerfuffle, sir, don't don't diminish it. It was
- 1:04:21Speaker 4: a spirited kerfuffle. But it's amazing that you had to
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: sit here and take two minutes to explain. Oh no,
- 1:04:26Speaker 4: I just know that we were referencing, and I know
- 1:04:28Speaker 4: sometimes people don't some people don't go to school. Because
- 1:04:33Speaker 4: some people don't go to school threw me off. I
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: remember the Cali but I said, oh yeah.
- 1:04:38Speaker 19: People like you don't go to school. Read I was
- 1:04:41Speaker 19: thinking to come through Tea. Why she didn't go through
- 1:04:43Speaker 19: Tijuana if you're going to cal see.
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: And that's why you explain it, and that's why that's
- 1:04:47Speaker 7: why they're doing mass deportations right now.
- 1:04:50Speaker 4: Well, and that's also part of why America got into
- 1:04:53Speaker 4: the war. Russia was trying to get Mexico at one
- 1:04:58Speaker 4: point or to attack us, so they were going to
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: make a treaty. They was going to join them to
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: their forces. But that's let's get back now. Glad me
- 1:05:09Speaker 4: of them. I'm going to talk to the whole st
- 1:05:12Speaker 4: I think that was before Vladimir. That was probably Glad
- 1:05:15Speaker 4: to talk to Gooba telling him everything. Boying Vladimir Lenin,
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: it would have been Linen oh le, okay, he's right.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: His name was Bladimir. I went to school and him
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: installing took over and made what we know to be
- 1:05:33Speaker 4: the Soviet.
- 1:05:33Speaker 7: See, I was in school every day now it was
- 1:05:35Speaker 7: strictly for profit because my customer base school.
- 1:05:42Speaker 4: As I said, Monday night football Vikings Bears. We talked
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: about the Cowboys losing, the Falcons losing, the Jets losing.
- 1:05:51Speaker 4: We gave congratulations to Iranya Sabalinka for women her second
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: US Open and Carlos al Krraz for winning her his
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: excuse me second US opened as well. Give me a
- 1:06:04Speaker 4: round of applause for our man and the Hall of
- 1:06:08Speaker 4: Famer Randy Moss bean back. It's good to see him
- 1:06:16Speaker 4: on TV. Battled back from cancer. I was reading. He
- 1:06:20Speaker 4: said they had to take maybe two or three pieces
- 1:06:24Speaker 4: of different things cut the cancer out. So good to
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: see Randy Moss. And you can literally see a different
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: Brandy Moss if you go back about eight twelve months,
- 1:06:36Speaker 4: and he looked like he was dying. And it's good
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: to see him back like that and look like he
- 1:06:42Speaker 4: really appreciates life. So congratulations to him. Does Christian McCaffrey
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: play yesterday? Yesterday Christian saw him in uniform. He's getting
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: on my that list, like you don't know on your
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: glass list. Tim, It's it's a glass list where I
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: just he's rarely he's rarely in. But but I mean's
- 1:07:09Speaker 4: on the rarely end list. You know, they usually they
- 1:07:12Speaker 4: say he rarely misses time, he rarely think about this. Okay,
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: who was he carries? Okay, okay, okay. And this ain't
- 1:07:22Speaker 4: the first time.
- 1:07:22Speaker 7: We seen him like that though, Remember that was his
- 1:07:25Speaker 7: That was our knock on him when he was in Carrol,
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: when he was in Carolina. He's an outstanding player when
- 1:07:30Speaker 7: he's in the game.
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: He's as good as anybody when he out there, but
- 1:07:35Speaker 4: rarely is till then, So okay, round of applause for
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: Christen for playing yesterday. Good to see him out on
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: the field. But can you say we had a couple
- 1:07:45Speaker 4: of comments lower listeners online comments, Uh, you mentioned that
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: the Jets had lost, the Cowboys had lost, the Falcons
- 1:07:53Speaker 4: had a loss, and Jared Leys is but a big
- 1:07:56Speaker 4: w for Raider think they played East Texas A and
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: M universe.
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: Uh?
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: And then R. J.
- 1:08:07Speaker 7: Twitty says he still says that Pittsburgh let another one
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: get away with Justin fields Man. What could have been
- 1:08:14Speaker 7: like now that he's finding himself had he been still
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: in Pittsburgh. Uh, may have been some long term I
- 1:08:24Speaker 7: guess winning possibilities for the Steelers.
- 1:08:28Speaker 4: No, that's not that's not how the world works. I'm sorry.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: It's not the third team. And if I was three
- 1:08:35Speaker 4: tenths of a second faster, I would have been a receiver.
- 1:08:38Speaker 7: I mean.
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: And taller. I'm saying might have recruited me and said
- 1:08:51Speaker 4: he loved a halftime show FROMIL. But the Raiders did
- 1:08:59Speaker 4: be the Patriots. Then they play the Patriots. Yes, let's
- 1:09:04Speaker 4: come back. Come Mike Rabel, first game back as the
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: head in the head coaching at coaching the Patriots, Geno
- 1:09:13Speaker 4: Smith making enough plays. Rock Bowers caught five or six balls,
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: so he looks like a jewel for them. And from
- 1:09:21Speaker 4: last year's draft, Pete Carroll back on the sideline. But
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: we will hold measurement of what the Raiders can do
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: until they play a little team that we feel has
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: a little more something to games. And they're still now
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: and I think the bad producer actually said it. You
- 1:09:43Speaker 4: have to look at their division with the Chargers, with
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: the Chiefs, the Broncos, it's similar to in with the
- 1:09:50Speaker 4: Cowboy Eagles Commanders. That's a tough division there.
- 1:09:56Speaker 7: We also Jared mentioned that there were a lot of
- 1:09:58Speaker 7: missed field goals in extra points and uh, we just
- 1:10:02Speaker 7: had a comment from Darryl Bowen Senior that says Week
- 1:10:06Speaker 7: one lacked a lot of defense. Or now when people
- 1:10:11Speaker 7: say it lacked a lot of defense, did it lack
- 1:10:13Speaker 7: defense or was just they're just an abundance of offense.
- 1:10:17Speaker 19: No, it's just not to say the defense got to
- 1:10:21Speaker 19: be able to make the adjustments. Now, this is the
- 1:10:23Speaker 19: first week they're gonna get the film. You're gonna see
- 1:10:25Speaker 19: who's who, that's what, that's what. What it boils down
- 1:10:28Speaker 19: to be able to film study and then like going forward,
- 1:10:33Speaker 19: because I mean, even though we're oer and one and
- 1:10:36Speaker 19: we're behind the eight ball, I still feel good about,
- 1:10:40Speaker 19: you know, what the Falcons could be because it's just what.
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: I think he's talking about one in general.
- 1:10:45Speaker 19: What I'm just saying, I just like I said my
- 1:10:47Speaker 19: earlier I said, I felt like the defense didn't play
- 1:10:49Speaker 19: like we were suspecting them to.
- 1:10:51Speaker 4: Like our hopes is Falcons fans, But we're not talking
- 1:10:55Speaker 4: about the Falcon. I'm just saying we have watched, yeah
- 1:11:03Speaker 4: about crying out, but I don't watch what I would
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: ask you and I'll get back to Darryl in one
- 1:11:11Speaker 4: court in one second, Big Kenny, you keep talking about
- 1:11:14Speaker 4: the falcon defense. Who's on the falcon defense that you
- 1:11:17Speaker 4: don't think Baker Mayfield can score twenty three points? Quick
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: uick quick quick quick quick quick quick quick quick? Who's
- 1:11:23Speaker 4: over there? Qui quick quick wick? I said, that's what
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: I said. Our secondary who's in the secondary wall yesterday?
- 1:11:30Speaker 4: Like we ain't have nobody At the end of the game,
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: you get burnt like you know, you know too the
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: big pass let's there's nothing behind you, everything in front
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: of you. Baker Mayfield through for one hundred and sixty
- 1:11:45Speaker 4: seven yards. She was seventeen for thirty two. That means
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: he barely cracked five. But you're saying the past defense
- 1:11:56Speaker 4: was what at the end of the game.
- 1:11:59Speaker 19: Maybe I shoul shouldn't say that it was bad, but
- 1:12:03Speaker 19: at the end when it counted, when we needed the
- 1:12:05Speaker 19: pass defense to step up, you let the man get
- 1:12:08Speaker 19: behind you instill of keeping the ball in front of
- 1:12:10Speaker 19: that's I'm sorry, that's.
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: And you think that guy that let the man get
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: behind him was trying to nah Just the Buccaneers Baker
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: and that was a rookie that got him. So you know,
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: first tout mans for you know, first round pick. Yeah,
- 1:12:27Speaker 4: fresh set of leg, young buck, under cat. So but
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: back to I thought, I thought for the two teams
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: that you feel like is gonna win the division? Where
- 1:12:40Speaker 4: the Falcons. That was a good game. Yeah, it went
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: kind of like a three pass.
- 1:12:45Speaker 7: And last week when you asked like who's on your radar,
- 1:12:49Speaker 7: first people I said were Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
- 1:12:52Speaker 4: Yeah, and and the Falcons.
- 1:12:56Speaker 7: If anybody was going to have to watch out for
- 1:12:59Speaker 7: uh to be clinched by somebody already, it's looking out
- 1:13:04Speaker 7: towards the Tampa Bay Buccaneers out yesterday.
- 1:13:07Speaker 4: We saw that and Fogo to break. I would say
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: to Daryl that I think the defenses that they were
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: a couple like the Stellers, like the Ravens, like the
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: even the Bills. They were defenses that was built. You
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: thought they were gonna dominate. Yeah, the personnel over there says,
- 1:13:29Speaker 4: you know, you got Joey Bosa. Now with the Bills,
- 1:13:32Speaker 4: you got guys. So you're sitting there watching games and
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: from defenses that you thought were gonna be why the
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: teams win and they were giving up a lot of
- 1:13:42Speaker 4: points and the Jets are still pushing the Steelers front
- 1:13:47Speaker 4: line around right now. They ran for like one hundred
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: and ninety yards like Stellers won the game, but they
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: played no run defense. We'll be back more to Sports
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: Jock Show right after this night.
- 1:14:02Speaker 8: Damn Damn bad Jo, my homie, AMOA level, Amola level.
- 1:14:09Speaker 3: LA level.

- 1:15:20Speaker 2: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:15:23Speaker 14: Three quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical
- 1:15:27Speaker 14: piece of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually
- 1:15:30Speaker 14: have life insurance.
- 1:15:32Speaker 26: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:15:33Speaker 26: just getting started with our family and thought, we live
- 1:15:35Speaker 26: forever life insurance. What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: What about you?
- 1:15:39Speaker 15: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:15:41Speaker 26: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:15:43Speaker 26: bills piling up, I was worried how my family will
- 1:15:45Speaker 26: survive without me. That's what I'm made an appointment with
- 1:15:47Speaker 26: the insurance.
- 1:15:48Speaker 14: Informant information gives you power, and life insurance gives your
- 1:15:51Speaker 14: family security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:15:54Speaker 26: Now that I'm molder, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:15:56Speaker 26: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:15:58Speaker 4: The answer is easy.
- 1:15:59Speaker 14: Whether you're twenty five or fifty, whether you earn a
- 1:16:01Speaker 14: little or a lot, all you need is the insurance
- 1:16:04Speaker 14: informant to help you build a foundation of security, because
- 1:16:07Speaker 14: without you, your family will have two options, benefits or bills.
- 1:16:12Speaker 14: Which legacy will you leave behind? Log on today, benefits
- 1:16:15Speaker 14: or bills dot com? That's benefits or bills dot com.
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: And now back to the sports job, Wayne Gandy, go
- 1:16:29Speaker 4: go Goat, Go Goat, Go go show. It's sugar Day.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: We're gonna call it's Shiver Day. We're gonna sit It's Shuverarday.
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: And you know we don't give up because that's.
- 1:16:44Speaker 5: Not all of.
- 1:16:46Speaker 4: Walk back to this what shock? Shout out this what shock?
- 1:16:49Speaker 4: Wayne gandee uh one other thing too. Before with defenses,
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: especially over last good maybe ten a decade, rarely do
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: you see defenses even stop teams in two minute drills.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: I don't know what it is. Maybe I gotta start
- 1:17:09Speaker 4: looking a little, but teams seem to be able to
- 1:17:12Speaker 4: at least get an opportunity for that field goal.
- 1:17:17Speaker 7: I used to think, you know, it used to be
- 1:17:19Speaker 7: I thought two minute drills had two minute defenses too,
- 1:17:23Speaker 7: Like every time they go okay, teams going into its
- 1:17:25Speaker 7: two minute drill. I thought the defense had a Okay,
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: we're in the two minute portion of the game and
- 1:17:31Speaker 7: now we're gonna go to this. But it does special coverage, especially,
- 1:17:36Speaker 7: it doesn't seem like that. I can see like they're
- 1:17:39Speaker 7: all playing to make sure that at minimum they keep
- 1:17:42Speaker 7: them to a field.
- 1:17:42Speaker 19: And then the two minute drill would they is it
- 1:17:44Speaker 19: more of a prevent or do they stay aggressive?
- 1:17:47Speaker 4: That's that's up to the coordinator of what he feels
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: like will happen or who's the kicker. And as we're
- 1:17:53Speaker 4: seeing h and guys, everybody on every team now has
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: some dude that can hit it with the fifty two yarders.
- 1:18:01Speaker 4: So I don't know that fear is in their mind
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: that man, they get two.
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: First downs and we in fielgal rays if you kick
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: from fifty five, like every every kicker should be able
- 1:18:13Speaker 6: to make a fifty five.
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: That's the expectation. So a couple of birthdays here off
- 1:18:18Speaker 4: the yesterday, today and tomorrow. Jonathan Major, which is surprising.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: Definitely thought he was about twelve years older. He's thirty
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: six years old. Jonathan Major. That's going to prison, stress
- 1:18:31Speaker 4: and make you years that going to prison stress. I
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: had you. I'm telling you, you look out on it.
- 1:18:37Speaker 4: He's looked like that all the time. Yeah, because Oliver
- 1:18:40Speaker 4: Hudson is forty nine, Leslie Jones is fifty eight. Comedian
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: Leslie Jones fifty eight. Donovan Mitchell such game that he
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: brings onto the court for the Cavaliers twenty nine. Evan
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: rachel Wood is thirty eight years old. Westwood, Westboro. Yeah,
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: great series Westworod if you ever see it, that's what
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: she stars in. Thirty eight. Jody Turner Smith she is
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: thirty nine years old. Kevin Love thirty seven, Shane Mosley
- 1:19:12Speaker 4: Shane fifty four, Adam Sandler fifty nine. Where's Khalifa? Thirty eight,
- 1:19:19Speaker 4: Bernie Sanders eighty four, Lrenz Tate, Oh Dog, it's fifty.
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: Slim Thug is forty five, Bob Stoops is sixty five.
- 1:19:29Speaker 4: My man still around, still her fans. Dick Lebo just
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: won't give up? Is he still? Dick Lobow just will
- 1:19:36Speaker 4: not give up. He's still alive. I know he's still coaching,
- 1:19:39Speaker 4: though it might be somewhere from the school. He's eighty
- 1:19:42Speaker 4: eight years old, is Dick Lebow? Thunder? Dan Martin, I
- 1:19:46Speaker 4: just liked that dog. Thunder Dan Harley is sixty years old.
- 1:19:50Speaker 4: They always have to put the Marley name in with it, though,
- 1:19:54Speaker 4: you just never call him thunder Down. Thunder Dan Marley
- 1:19:58Speaker 4: Hayley van Lift is twenty four for the Chicago Sky,
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: one of the young ladies that Angelice threw under the bus.
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: I thought was very surprising that she did that. She's
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: suspended now for throwing her teammates. Yeah, teamments detrimental to
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: the team. And this young lady actually played with her
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: at LSU for a year and she's just a rookie.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: So I don't know how you've evaluated to be able
- 1:20:24Speaker 4: to just throw the girl right under the bus. Aley
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: van Lyth is twenty four. Bj Armstrong is fifty eight.
- 1:20:31Speaker 4: Gabby Williams of the Seattleist WNBA team Storm Storm She
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: is twenty nine. Mister No Shirt j R. Smith is
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: the Big four zero, Michael bou Blake is fifty, Actress
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: Michelle Williams is forty five, and Pink is forty six
- 1:20:55Speaker 4: years old. Those are the birthdays, bad producer. We're gonna
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: let bad Producers go today just to give him his
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: one annual, his one and your clock, the clock and
- 1:21:08Speaker 4: got he don't work all the time. Oh, we're gonna
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: just go ahead, go with pink. I know he didn't
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: even hear the rest of the people. That's why I'm
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: ask him. That's why I asked him because knew he
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: wasn't paying attention.
- 1:21:19Speaker 20: I was.
- 1:21:19Speaker 4: I wrote him down. I was trying to help Kenny out. Oh,
- 1:21:23Speaker 4: you're gonna help him out, But I mean it didn't.
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: That's how that's how we get trying to help. Yeah,
- 1:21:29Speaker 4: I was just trying. Oh you're trying to help. You're
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: trying to help.
- 1:21:33Speaker 19: I mean it was skeptical about a couple of them.
- 1:21:36Speaker 19: I was like, Dad, Kenny gonna have a hard choice.
- 1:21:38Speaker 19: Shoes bad. But when you threw pink at the end,
- 1:21:40Speaker 19: I was like, Wow.
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: We lost the great Davy Johnson three times World Champion
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: Major League Baseball, Davy Johnson eighty two years old and
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: one of the great designers of our time. Georgia, our
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: money will pull outa ar money stuff and I'm quite
- 1:21:57Speaker 4: sure you could sell it for higher prices. He lived
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: to be like eighty seven. Stylish style, g a cool,
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: You're very Georgia Silk Italian. What some kind of no, no,
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: you you can't carry ask you you doing like you
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: just send him to the taxidermists and he just stand
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: there like what you know, you put him in the
- 1:22:27Speaker 4: ground with his hand in a in a stylish way,
- 1:22:31Speaker 4: maybe holding a monocle. But they do you like that.
- 1:22:34Speaker 19: Now the funerals, they can set you up like if
- 1:22:36Speaker 19: you're as a comedian, you they can have you up
- 1:22:38Speaker 19: there standing like you're doing a set and the people
- 1:22:43Speaker 19: walk through.
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: And and and my mama called it doing too much.
- 1:22:46Speaker 4: But Angel Reifs, we talked about Hayley van Liz. The
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: sky did suspend her. She went on and said that
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: she wasn't going to take basically as though it was
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: everybody else her. What do you do with Angel Reese?
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: If you just gottad you go ahead on and let
- 1:23:04Speaker 4: her get out of there?
- 1:23:08Speaker 6: It's no I did just I mean I don't know
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: like how the how the contracts worked or anything, but
- 1:23:16Speaker 6: I mean I've seen first round picks get cut before after.
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: But where's she going? They could just they could just
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: cut her.
- 1:23:24Speaker 7: Well, I'm wondering, how do you fix a problem that
- 1:23:28Speaker 7: you're partly responsible for creating? How do you punish that? No,
- 1:23:32Speaker 7: she was who she was before the Sky Draft. No,
- 1:23:35Speaker 7: I'm saying, and then they let her go on with
- 1:23:39Speaker 7: her blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah,
- 1:23:41Speaker 7: and now the blah blah blah is detrimental to the team.
- 1:23:45Speaker 7: And so now we're going to hay Man. Why don't
- 1:23:47Speaker 7: you when before maybe someone, hey, listen, why don't you
- 1:23:51Speaker 7: just you know.
- 1:23:52Speaker 4: Let's play basketball.
- 1:23:54Speaker 6: Well, the mistake was letting that Like, if that's aired
- 1:23:57Speaker 6: out in a I feel like in a team meeting,
- 1:23:59Speaker 6: that's one thing, But for it to be in the
- 1:24:04Speaker 6: that's one thing I think everyone should know, especially athletes,
- 1:24:07Speaker 6: should know that you don't air out that stuff in
- 1:24:09Speaker 6: the media.
- 1:24:10Speaker 4: And it seems like that's what she wants to live
- 1:24:13Speaker 4: her whole life in the media. Yeah, and that's what
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: I'm saying. She doesn't see it as the media.
- 1:24:19Speaker 7: She sees them as her people like that that generation
- 1:24:24Speaker 7: she comes from, that generation of athlete that they're like
- 1:24:29Speaker 7: the first nil babies, and so all they know is
- 1:24:33Speaker 7: that social media exposure and how to generate Yeah.
- 1:24:38Speaker 4: Getting that attention. Yeah, sometimes the sometimes the opportunity shows
- 1:24:46Speaker 4: itself to you and you don't do it to me.
- 1:24:49Speaker 4: After she what she's doing. Maybe we need to just
- 1:24:53Speaker 4: go ahead and move way now right then, trying to
- 1:24:57Speaker 4: feel like we can stitch this together. Right, We'll be
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: back more to Sports Jock Show right after this Don't
- 1:25:15Speaker 4: Go Away, or of the.
- 1:25:17Speaker 9: Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gantidius coming up next.
- 1:25:20Speaker 27: Hurting the game, We tough it out, feel exhausted, we
- 1:25:25Speaker 27: push on feeling down. We pull ourselves up by the bootstraps.
- 1:25:30Speaker 27: But there are times when bootstraps aren't enough, when stress
- 1:25:34Speaker 27: gets to us and we need to talk to someone
- 1:25:36Speaker 27: about what we're really going through. So we're going to
- 1:25:39Speaker 27: reach out because sometimes mental health is not a one
- 1:25:42Speaker 27: person job. Is it Love your Mind Today dot org?

- 1:25:59Speaker 15: Finding you hobby comes with age.
- 1:26:01Speaker 19: My mom has started getting lost and not knowing where she's.

- 1:26:29Speaker 28: But you probably knew that. The problem is you also
- 1:26:32Speaker 28: drive different, and not in a good way. That's why
- 1:26:36Speaker 28: driving high is illegal everywhere. So if you're high, just
- 1:26:40Speaker 28: don't drive. Make a plan to get a sober ride
- 1:26:43Speaker 28: because if you feel different, you drive different. Brought to

- 1:27:24Speaker 2: And now back to the Sports Job Wayne.
- 1:27:29Speaker 23: Players Lounge. You have been given full access to the
- 1:27:35Speaker 23: player's lounge on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne gangy even.
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: Voos gripped and propos even know Voos grip Pocos even
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: know votos.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: Gripped and proposing. Crowding, still battling in the mix. It's
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: that zig zigs longs. Let me stick in your cheecken
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: wealking back to this one shock show. I'm the sport
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: Shocks wing Candy. I know we were talking about Ranger Reese,
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: but I think the whole WNBA kind of dropped the
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: ball this year. They didn't take advantage of that tidal wave,
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: and I just don't get that that.
- 1:28:14Speaker 4: They really built on last year. It seems a little
- 1:28:21Speaker 4: fizzle from Caitlyn Clark being out to talking about sitting
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: out next year and those kind of things like you
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: just got a little momentum. Some of this stuff need
- 1:28:35Speaker 4: to stay in house. Yeah here with the T shirts,
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: pay us what you're old and people like man I
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: just started tuning in and you're already on that diva
- 1:28:48Speaker 4: page and your audience is not big enough to lose fans.
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: Sometimes you have to be big enough to have us.
- 1:28:59Speaker 4: You know, some people are big enough to lose ten percent,
- 1:29:02Speaker 4: fifteen percent of their fan base and you still got
- 1:29:06Speaker 4: some great playing going on like based Booker.
- 1:29:09Speaker 19: She's putting up numbers like Caitlin last year, but she's
- 1:29:11Speaker 19: just not getting that fan fare.
- 1:29:13Speaker 7: And is it necessary to recruit to generate, to grow
- 1:29:18Speaker 7: a fan base. If your stance is pay me what
- 1:29:22Speaker 7: you owe me, you got the money, share it, Why
- 1:29:27Speaker 7: I gotta go get my own fans, They really don't.
- 1:29:29Speaker 7: Why I gotta go get my own fans. You got money,
- 1:29:32Speaker 7: you got money, and we play in the same sport.
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: Just give us what we ought to have, but journey.
- 1:29:37Speaker 6: And they still don't see that. They the teams really
- 1:29:39Speaker 6: don't have it, like they don't have the money, like
- 1:29:43Speaker 6: they're losing money every year. They had a great growth,
- 1:29:47Speaker 6: but it was still okay, we lost less money than exactly.
- 1:29:52Speaker 7: And we're still not focused. It seems like all of
- 1:29:54Speaker 7: the conversation is focused on give me more instead of
- 1:29:58Speaker 7: how can we grow this or let's hold what we got.
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: Retention is good too.
- 1:30:03Speaker 7: Even if we don't have growth, if we don't have
- 1:30:05Speaker 7: any decline, then we're holding strong at the very least.
- 1:30:10Speaker 7: And don't kill the marketing dollars. Whatever your sport was
- 1:30:13Speaker 7: not going to grow each and every player. Marketing dollars
- 1:30:18Speaker 7: grew those young ladies. Those grown women have more money
- 1:30:23Speaker 7: as far as being able to go out, and now
- 1:30:26Speaker 7: instead of having to go to Europe, I can make
- 1:30:28Speaker 7: up that and marketing dollars, selling products. You know, just
- 1:30:32Speaker 7: go down to raising cane and take a picture of
- 1:30:35Speaker 7: fifty grand. That's you know, that's how they're doing it now.
- 1:30:38Speaker 7: So one of my big questions other weekend came from
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: this little audio here, and I wanted to ask you guys,
- 1:30:47Speaker 7: why is this such an issue?
- 1:30:50Speaker 4: Did you play that great right morning? Are you feeling okay?
- 1:30:58Speaker 4: You look at AJ Brown?
- 1:30:58Speaker 28: Which is this number one wid if we got one
- 1:31:00Speaker 28: target all night and then you got ceedee Lamb.
- 1:31:02Speaker 4: But that's the when was that's the target?
- 1:31:05Speaker 22: Was the one I'm saying you could have way for
- 1:31:08Speaker 22: seconds nothing the game on second and eleven, it was
- 1:31:10Speaker 22: the one target. He runs the wake up this quarter
- 1:31:13Speaker 22: they got Brown had a better day than City Lamb.
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: But you know what to wake up saying no A J.
- 1:31:18Speaker 12: Brown's team is one and oh of course, like like
- 1:31:20Speaker 12: that's what again?
- 1:31:20Speaker 22: But the thing is this though, and and we shouldn't
- 1:31:25Speaker 22: do this on TV, And so I apologize that people
- 1:31:28Speaker 22: think this is rude.
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: That's the non player oh, stop, that's no that. Let
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: me tell you why I'm not saying that's Ryan Clark.
- 1:31:39Speaker 4: They were on a panel the other day after the
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: Eagles Cowboys game. Teddy Bruski was up there, Ryan Clark
- 1:31:49Speaker 4: was there, he was talking to us, was up there.
- 1:31:56Speaker 4: So it was three players and then Pete Pete Schrager
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: and that's who he pointed out to be the non player.
- 1:32:04Speaker 4: I wanted to ask you, guys, I know you, why
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: is it that people get so offended when that is
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: pointed out that someone's not a player that you are,
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: that's the non player in you. I'm actually helping you out.
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: You're you're speculating because you that's what seems to happen you.
- 1:32:32Speaker 4: You let your speculating think that what you're saying is reality.
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: But you're speculating. And we've talked about this in different
- 1:32:43Speaker 4: times over the decade that we've been on a show.
- 1:32:46Speaker 4: Why do people bad produce a big Kenny mansion get
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: offended when the players put them in their place and
- 1:32:56Speaker 4: remind them that you're the non player.
- 1:33:04Speaker 7: For me, I think that, and not that anybody's right
- 1:33:09Speaker 7: or wrong, I think that a lot of times people
- 1:33:11Speaker 7: get offended because number one you say, Okay, that's the
- 1:33:16Speaker 7: non player in you. You're just speculating. That's how I
- 1:33:20Speaker 7: ended up here. I was My speculation was well respected
- 1:33:25Speaker 7: enough that it got me on the panel. So I'm
- 1:33:27Speaker 7: just doing what they pay me to do, speculate. And
- 1:33:31Speaker 7: sometimes the player says in a debate where that's your
- 1:33:36Speaker 7: big joker, the facts, the data you're presenting, the conversation
- 1:33:41Speaker 7: we're having, the debate is even.
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: But we're not debating. I'm telling you what actually is
- 1:33:48Speaker 4: going on, and you're theorizing, well, and I'm saying, it's
- 1:33:53Speaker 4: like the three of us, any combination. If it was
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: three women here talking about childbirth, right, and it's one
- 1:34:03Speaker 4: man up here, right, and these three women have multiple kids,
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: what are you doing to be telling them what childbirth is?
- 1:34:17Speaker 18: Like?
- 1:34:17Speaker 6: I put the things on my stomach to simulate, and
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: then they gave me the shock or whatever.
- 1:34:23Speaker 4: And then but right now, that's right, that's what it
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: seems like. This is sometimes where I'm gonna tell you
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: I'm on a real series. I don't I'm not looking
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: for the joke. I'm trying to figure out why do
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: people get offended when, especially in sports, when your analyzation
- 1:34:48Speaker 4: is not from the perspective of what's going on. And
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: I have this because, as I said, I do just
- 1:34:55Speaker 4: I have to remember this. I'm on here with three
- 1:34:58Speaker 4: reporters and they all got these opinions and I'm sitting
- 1:35:02Speaker 4: there holding it and remembering, you can't say that. You
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: can't say that because what they're talking about sounds like
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: something like you're ordering something from Target. And I'm actually
- 1:35:17Speaker 4: telling you that's not what's going on. That's not the
- 1:35:19Speaker 4: thought we had, that's not how we went into the game.
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: Young lady last night text me about the coach for
- 1:35:28Speaker 4: the Bills, what's his name, McDermott. McDermott goes for two
- 1:35:32Speaker 4: when they had the penalty if thinking it was like
- 1:35:35Speaker 4: twenty seven and he was gonna make it twenty seven
- 1:35:37Speaker 4: to twenty one, and whoa, he shouldn't have went for that.
- 1:35:42Speaker 4: And I'm like, yes, she should have because at some
- 1:35:44Speaker 4: point in his high score and they put the ball
- 1:35:47Speaker 4: on the one, he has an offense that can and
- 1:35:50Speaker 4: at some point I gotta take a chance to win
- 1:35:53Speaker 4: this game. Oh, I don't agree with you. What when
- 1:36:00Speaker 4: were you in the game, Oh, you stayed at a
- 1:36:05Speaker 4: holiday inn. So now, how do you.
- 1:36:09Speaker 7: Debate with people of something you have not experienced well,
- 1:36:15Speaker 7: and again, I think a lot of that comes from
- 1:36:20Speaker 7: the same thing that we were kind of talking about
- 1:36:22Speaker 7: with Angel Rees. They have made these speculators, these commentators,
- 1:36:29Speaker 7: these anchors of these sports shows authorities because of the
- 1:36:36Speaker 7: positions that they hold. Now, long before you invited the
- 1:36:41Speaker 7: former professional athlete to sit alongside you, to add color
- 1:36:46Speaker 7: and to add realistic perspective, you were how weren't co
- 1:36:52Speaker 7: sell and look at this man, now just be debate.
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: It used to just be the data and you coloring
- 1:36:59Speaker 4: the sport.
- 1:37:00Speaker 7: Then you had the steven A's and the other people
- 1:37:03Speaker 7: come along saying it like it was fact. You are
- 1:37:06Speaker 7: a bum because you should have done And now I'm
- 1:37:10Speaker 7: sitting across from a you, and I done forgot where
- 1:37:12Speaker 7: I am, and the people listening to me donet forgot
- 1:37:15Speaker 7: that I never played the sport and that my opinion
- 1:37:19Speaker 7: shouldn't weigh anymore than it's the same as a person
- 1:37:22Speaker 7: will know when you on the battlefield. You never jumped
- 1:37:25Speaker 7: out of a tank and fought. So now you're telling
- 1:37:29Speaker 7: people that did it how to go to war. And
- 1:37:31Speaker 7: that's all I'm saying is we have given these speculators
- 1:37:35Speaker 7: so much authority that when they get alongside people who
- 1:37:40Speaker 7: know better and those people check them, it hits the
- 1:37:44Speaker 7: listening audience's ear wrong because sound like you're talking to me. Now,
- 1:37:49Speaker 7: I be talking barber shoply all the time, but I mean,
- 1:37:52Speaker 7: I'm the king of the barber shop.
- 1:37:54Speaker 4: He talk and you I was agreeing what this man
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: was saying, and then when you checked him, kind of
- 1:38:00Speaker 4: feel checked myself. But Kenny, they've always had a player,
- 1:38:04Speaker 4: not as meaning as they do now.
- 1:38:06Speaker 19: Cross used to be on the panel with CBS, with
- 1:38:09Speaker 19: Brett Musburg and all them, and he was the voice
- 1:38:12Speaker 19: of reason.
- 1:38:12Speaker 6: Now you just have it's three players. It's it's a
- 1:38:16Speaker 6: it's a lot of uh. Those who have not played
- 1:38:20Speaker 6: don't see that. It's like they refuse to recognize a
- 1:38:25Speaker 6: player's perspective.
- 1:38:27Speaker 19: But when you got a Teddy Bruce k Ryan H.
- 1:38:33Speaker 19: Clark and that right there. As a reporter, you could
- 1:38:36Speaker 19: dial it back now. But if it's but I'm saying,
- 1:38:39Speaker 19: but if it's two of you on there, it's a debate.
- 1:38:41Speaker 19: But at the same time, sometimes you get sometimes players are.
- 1:38:46Speaker 4: Wrong, but the players are going.
- 1:38:52Speaker 6: This is another incident in which it some someone who
- 1:38:55Speaker 6: is not played is ignoring the perspective of someone who
- 1:38:58Speaker 6: has We've seen this several but sometimes, as I'm saying,
- 1:39:01Speaker 6: you can't ignore the person that actually and they still
- 1:39:06Speaker 6: trying to ignore it. Okay, your feelings just hurt. It's
- 1:39:12Speaker 6: an ego thing.
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: I sounded like I knew what I was talking about
- 1:39:17Speaker 4: to this man says, shut up, you don't know what
- 1:39:19Speaker 4: you're talking about. And now I'm on some o. Well,
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: I stayed at the house and we go to break
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: It's just the thing I found myself in the last
- 1:39:28Speaker 4: couple of weeks in these settings where it's like people
- 1:39:31Speaker 4: got offended because you say, there's this is not the
- 1:39:34Speaker 4: New York Stock Exchange.
- 1:39:36Speaker 9: This is not.
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: Futures and buns and bullmarkets. These are people. And if
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: you ain't been in that helmet, then when I say
- 1:39:44Speaker 4: if they want to die, kill them, you don't have
- 1:39:48Speaker 4: any perspectives. So it sounds like I'm some kind of terrorists.
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: But I'm telling you that you get in the game
- 1:39:56Speaker 4: and these people kind of seem like they want you
- 1:39:58Speaker 4: to beat them, and some teens won't just go knock
- 1:40:02Speaker 4: them out. They let him stay around. So our coach
- 1:40:05Speaker 4: used to say, if they want to die. Kill him.
- 1:40:09Speaker 4: Don't just go ahead on and kill him. He's raising
- 1:40:13Speaker 4: the white flag and you don't let him stay around.
- 1:40:16Speaker 4: Now it's thirteen ten. He didn't got his second win,
- 1:40:21Speaker 4: Reach bud, reach for his little gun in his boot. Nah,
- 1:40:26Speaker 4: when you had him, you had it. You should have
- 1:40:27Speaker 4: finished she went on and finished it. But you start monologuing.
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: We'll be back with what the sports jock show right
- 1:40:35Speaker 4: after this.
- 1:40:37Speaker 3: Dying baby, Come give me something.

- 1:43:12Speaker 3: I'll sing even.
- 1:43:16Speaker 4: Welcome back to this what shock shah, this what shock
- 1:43:18Speaker 4: winged again? D be Can we got anybody on any
- 1:43:22Speaker 4: comments from our listeners out there? I want to make
- 1:43:24Speaker 4: sure for going uh. When we were talking about the
- 1:43:31Speaker 4: the the w n B, a UH Elder K. C.
- 1:43:34Speaker 7: Lamar Huey Senior said, y'all, don't forget we're dealing with
- 1:43:37Speaker 7: women were vassal And I told and I told him,
- 1:43:44Speaker 7: we're gonna get flagged for that. And he said it's
- 1:43:46Speaker 7: in the Bible and the Bible and they still and
- 1:43:49Speaker 7: they still gonna flag us. Now they're gonna flag us
- 1:43:51Speaker 7: for being a religious show.
- 1:43:53Speaker 4: Oh. The Miami Dolphins yesterday dropping a game to the
- 1:43:59Speaker 4: Colts thirty three to eight. I don't know that to
- 1:44:07Speaker 4: a tackle oa is the answer. I didn't know think
- 1:44:10Speaker 4: that he was necessarily the answer when they got drafted
- 1:44:14Speaker 4: because he doesn't have pro arm same thing I feel
- 1:44:18Speaker 4: about Bryce Young. They don't have the size, they don't
- 1:44:24Speaker 4: have the arm strength. I know you got a distrontal
- 1:44:29Speaker 4: worker in Tyreek Hill. Tyreek Hill is a good piece
- 1:44:33Speaker 4: of a puzzle. Maybe Dolphins to trade as well. I
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: don't know that anybody would be upset if y'all just
- 1:44:41Speaker 4: maybe he thought time going a new direction. Tyreek Hill
- 1:44:44Speaker 4: still has some value that could get you some second,
- 1:44:47Speaker 4: third round picks. And I'm not sure what the Dolphins
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: and I'm definitely not sure that Tua Tackleioa can do it.
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: I haven't seen it.
- 1:45:06Speaker 7: I mean, can you talk about you talk about the
- 1:45:08Speaker 7: mentality inside the helmet as a quarterback? How effective can
- 1:45:13Speaker 7: you be knowing all I got to do is fall
- 1:45:16Speaker 7: wrong and this is over for me. I hope this
- 1:45:20Speaker 7: dude doesn't bump into me too hard because I'll have
- 1:45:24Speaker 7: another concussion. And it just seems like after that second one,
- 1:45:27Speaker 7: what's in is second or third concussion? I would I
- 1:45:30Speaker 7: just never thought, Yeah, I just never thought he was
- 1:45:33Speaker 7: going to be the same. And this game is everybody's
- 1:45:38Speaker 7: always holding their breath on some ah please get up, please, okay, okay,
- 1:45:43Speaker 7: he got up. And when that's your preoccupation, you can't
- 1:45:48Speaker 7: move forward. Yeah, I just see in one dimension, and
- 1:45:52Speaker 7: even in that dimension, he has one tool. Everything has
- 1:45:56Speaker 7: to go precisely right. He doesn't have where he can
- 1:46:00Speaker 7: make something. He's not big and strong like Josh Allam.
- 1:46:03Speaker 7: He's not fast like Lamar Jackson. He doesn't have pinpoint accuracy.
- 1:46:12Speaker 7: The ball doesn't have any when you watch his balls,
- 1:46:16Speaker 7: and it looks like Bryce Young and I know they
- 1:46:18Speaker 7: went to Alabama, but none of them really have any
- 1:46:23Speaker 7: There's no wild factor. And I think the Dolphins might
- 1:46:28Speaker 7: have to really conced. I know they gave him that
- 1:46:30Speaker 7: big contract and they're kind of stuck in a sense.
- 1:46:32Speaker 7: But it's that's me, I guess.
- 1:46:38Speaker 4: But the Bengals, they beat the Browns yesterday, seventeen sixteen,
- 1:46:43Speaker 4: Joe Flacco. I guess thirty forty five times, y'all, y'all
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: let him throw the ball, really, forty year old, well
- 1:46:53Speaker 4: forty five times, y'all might as well just put Shador
- 1:46:57Speaker 4: in there. He can just go dur and rotate him
- 1:47:01Speaker 4: with Dylan what's his name, Dylan Gabriel. See how it works? Well,
- 1:47:06Speaker 4: see how that go. Well, they don't have uh, they're well,
- 1:47:13Speaker 4: they just think.
- 1:47:14Speaker 6: I feel like they just signed Quinn Shawn Jenkins right
- 1:47:17Speaker 6: before the game started, like he was. You know, they're
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: running back the word, so there's there. They have no
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: balance on their offense, like I don't. I don't know
- 1:47:27Speaker 6: how well they'll be able to run the ball going forward.
- 1:47:29Speaker 6: So you're gonna you might see that a lot more
- 1:47:31Speaker 6: than throwing that many times.
- 1:47:32Speaker 4: And then the Bengals. The Bengals have a lot of
- 1:47:35Speaker 4: players when you ask, when I look at them, they
- 1:47:40Speaker 4: like a lot of guys that play for the money.
- 1:47:43Speaker 4: M hm. Really, if you asked me to be your evaluator,
- 1:47:49Speaker 4: I come to watch the Bengals. The Bengals have a
- 1:47:51Speaker 4: roster of guys who play the game for the money.
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: He Higgins, Jamar Chase, Joe Burrow, Hendrick. They all out here.
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: I don't need my money, and that I don't mean
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: that other people if we all, everybody in the league
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: play for their money. But they seem to play Lamar
- 1:48:10Speaker 4: Jackson and you watched Lamar last night, you watched Josh Allen.
- 1:48:16Speaker 4: They seemed like they was playing for real. Joe Burrow
- 1:48:22Speaker 4: seemed like he playing so we could buy some more
- 1:48:24Speaker 4: stogies and date more Instagram models. Y'all don't see that
- 1:48:30Speaker 4: little difference about how they seem to be, like, I
- 1:48:33Speaker 4: need my name, I need to live up to this
- 1:48:35Speaker 4: money right right there between earning my money and pay
- 1:48:39Speaker 4: me my money.
- 1:48:40Speaker 6: You think they're playing down to the competition because it
- 1:48:44Speaker 6: was the Browns.
- 1:48:46Speaker 4: The Bengals on the road the first game of the year. Yeah,
- 1:48:50Speaker 4: and that's the first. That's I don't know what the
- 1:48:52Speaker 4: Browns got. We just got here. We ain't even had
- 1:48:54Speaker 4: a preseason game, and I mean they may still think
- 1:48:56Speaker 4: it's the Browns. Well it might have had, it's still
- 1:48:59Speaker 4: the brown I mean when when what is it on your.
- 1:49:06Speaker 19: Well, yesterday was to be first season open to win
- 1:49:09Speaker 19: in six six years, So that that speaks volume for
- 1:49:12Speaker 19: if you're a Bengals fan that they win their opener
- 1:49:15Speaker 19: for the first time in six years. So what makes
- 1:49:17Speaker 19: I'm just wondering, I'm hearing you say they seem like
- 1:49:20Speaker 19: they just play for the money.
- 1:49:22Speaker 4: What gives you that? I'm trying to see it me
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: watching them play the game of football over the last
- 1:49:29Speaker 4: whatever years they've been in the league, they don't seem invested,
- 1:49:33Speaker 4: that they care more about winning than their paycheck. It's
- 1:49:39Speaker 4: a disposition that a player brings to the court that
- 1:49:48Speaker 4: shows you that. Sometimes you call it immaturity, so you think, oh,
- 1:49:54Speaker 4: it's just because they're not old enough. And then some
- 1:49:58Speaker 4: people pay play because it can make a lot of
- 1:50:02Speaker 4: money doing it, but they're not playing in this kind
- 1:50:05Speaker 4: of way. You know, the kid for Atlanta for the Hawks,
- 1:50:11Speaker 4: he doesn't give me that he's playing for Legacy or
- 1:50:15Speaker 4: Mount Rushmore as much as he gives me I'm gonna
- 1:50:20Speaker 4: need my fifty million a year and I'm okay being
- 1:50:24Speaker 4: a journeyman doing it. Yeah.
- 1:50:29Speaker 6: So it's just that feeling, and that's I think the
- 1:50:34Speaker 6: Bengals problem. They have too many of those guys.
- 1:50:36Speaker 4: Yeah, because I like Lamar Chase Jamar Chase. But I'm
- 1:50:40Speaker 4: just I didn't say they were not great players, did No,
- 1:50:45Speaker 4: I said I like him. I'm James Harden makes me play.
- 1:50:48Speaker 4: He feel like he's just playing.
- 1:50:49Speaker 19: To get Oh Jack, you're playing for the check. So
- 1:50:51Speaker 19: you do know the feeling? Did this man just makes
- 1:50:55Speaker 19: me explain? Well, you can see it in James Harden.
- 1:50:58Speaker 19: I just tea the guys I've never like, I thought
- 1:51:02Speaker 19: Burroughs made a little.
- 1:51:04Speaker 4: Rangs show.
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: Don't Go Away.
- 1:51:21Speaker 9: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dan Radios
- 1:51:24Speaker 9: coming up next.

- 1:52:26Speaker 14: or see their ad on the sports jock dot Com.
- 1:52:32Speaker 4: And now back to the Sports Job Wayne Yanny, Now
- 1:52:39Speaker 4: it's time for a school board.
- 1:52:41Speaker 23: Can we put a spin on life and sports and
- 1:52:44Speaker 23: how they intermingle on the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:52:51Speaker 3: Yeah, Hi, yeah, hi.
- 1:53:01Speaker 8: Boys, weed a bush, weed the bush. We're making noise.
- 1:53:16Speaker 4: Hold out, hold on, walk back to this one shock shower.
- 1:53:22Speaker 4: I'm this war shock wing Candy and we were talking
- 1:53:26Speaker 4: about uh and what's the subject we have to take
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: into some other shows. There's plot guys on every team
- 1:53:33Speaker 4: and every sport that are playing just for the money.
- 1:53:43Speaker 4: So I wasn't just I was just saying with the Bengals,
- 1:53:46Speaker 4: when people try to figure out what their problem, all
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: of their key people are that, in my opinion, show
- 1:53:54Speaker 4: me the money, Show me the money. Yes, just show
- 1:53:56Speaker 4: me the money type guys. They don't really wrestle with you,
- 1:54:01Speaker 4: do know I lost last night? Yeah, they to be
- 1:54:05Speaker 4: outside like when Ceedee Lamb the lost it and he
- 1:54:08Speaker 4: was out. Okay, that kind of thing. They don't have
- 1:54:12Speaker 4: a you know, because if you lose you in the house,
- 1:54:14Speaker 4: they're still going to a little baby's party. Tonight non
- 1:54:22Speaker 4: you know, and passes and all. That's the kind of
- 1:54:27Speaker 4: I'm saying. There's those guys and some of them are
- 1:54:30Speaker 4: Hall of famers and all that, but they don't do it,
- 1:54:35Speaker 4: you know, like old crazy Mike Irving. Mike Irvin wanted
- 1:54:40Speaker 4: to make you feel a certain way that you can't
- 1:54:43Speaker 4: check me kind of. I don't forgot that I get
- 1:54:47Speaker 4: paid to do this, but I want to embarrass Big Kenny.
- 1:54:51Speaker 4: You out here thinking you're gonna cover me. I'm you
- 1:54:54Speaker 4: know that kind of bragging, right, So when I walk
- 1:54:57Speaker 4: by in the club, you put your head down. That's
- 1:55:00Speaker 4: them guys, and ask you why are you even here?
- 1:55:03Speaker 4: What you're doing here? But you might don't be acting
- 1:55:06Speaker 4: like that. Man, Oh bro, I'm saying. And then all
- 1:55:09Speaker 4: of them close to me, if you wasn't this close
- 1:55:11Speaker 4: to the whole game, and one of them guys that
- 1:55:14Speaker 4: you be ip with me popping bottles. But you now,
- 1:55:18Speaker 4: you gotta lead because if he say one my word,
- 1:55:20Speaker 4: now y'all fighting because he's getting at you. That's how
- 1:55:23Speaker 4: that's what I'm saying. I'm out here. There's a different
- 1:55:26Speaker 4: little vibe to it, and it's hard for a lot
- 1:55:29Speaker 4: of times to see, but that thing where you think
- 1:55:32Speaker 4: a person is really really engaged of trying to win.
- 1:55:36Speaker 4: The Bengals problem to me that they have too many
- 1:55:39Speaker 4: guys that can brush it off. I got mine right,
- 1:55:45Speaker 4: I got my eight catches, one hundred and thirty two
- 1:55:47Speaker 4: yards and two touchdown. I don't know what y'all were doing, right,
- 1:55:51Speaker 4: kind of guys right? Better get yours and those guys.
- 1:55:55Speaker 4: When you have too many olds on the team, you
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: can't consistently. You have a lot of ups and downs.
- 1:56:01Speaker 19: Well that's what I think that the reporter was trying
- 1:56:03Speaker 19: to get at, like saying, this guy's only got one
- 1:56:06Speaker 19: catch and try to make a big deal out of
- 1:56:10Speaker 19: the instead of saying that maybe kept throwing the ball.
- 1:56:14Speaker 19: Wasn't the play that they needed or it wasn't When
- 1:56:18Speaker 19: talking with Ryan Clark, when Ryan Clark told him, you're
- 1:56:20Speaker 19: a non player, you're not understanding when he kept trying
- 1:56:23Speaker 19: to describe a J. Brown only got targeted one time,
- 1:56:26Speaker 19: it's not a J. Brown's fault.
- 1:56:28Speaker 4: You know you can't. The quarterback still has to And
- 1:56:31Speaker 4: that's why I pointed out, I wonder why when guys
- 1:56:33Speaker 4: get upset when I start telling you that sounds good
- 1:56:37Speaker 4: on the New York Stock Exchange. But the game don't
- 1:56:41Speaker 4: always manifest like that, right, That's not always an opportunity expectation.
- 1:56:48Speaker 6: The expectations are different between like what from a player,
- 1:56:52Speaker 6: what you expect from your teammate, or you knew what
- 1:56:55Speaker 6: the game plan was, and from a reporter's perspective, you know,
- 1:57:00Speaker 6: like all the receivers if if they don't all get
- 1:57:02Speaker 6: eight catches and two touchdowns.
- 1:57:04Speaker 4: Then they didn't get it done. But that might not
- 1:57:07Speaker 4: have been the game because the number one key to
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: it all is you can quickly if you didn't play
- 1:57:13Speaker 4: the sport, forget the guy on the other side of
- 1:57:19Speaker 4: the ball.
- 1:57:22Speaker 6: Exists, exists man, and he get paid to and they
- 1:57:25Speaker 6: pull up a Brinks truck to his house too, just
- 1:57:29Speaker 6: like you, and you gonna be asking me why ain't
- 1:57:32Speaker 6: moving him?
- 1:57:33Speaker 4: He decided he ain't want to be moved. That's why
- 1:57:36Speaker 4: that's what he did. He decided he was gonna drop
- 1:57:39Speaker 4: them up, and y'all ain't moving me today. And I'm
- 1:57:42Speaker 4: sitting there like damn, I gotta try something else now
- 1:57:44Speaker 4: because he don't decide he don't want to move to date,
- 1:57:46Speaker 4: So coach, let's try another trick. Well, we're gonna do No,
- 1:57:51Speaker 4: I'm serious. Someday you sit there and you hope and
- 1:57:56Speaker 4: what's my man Chester McLaughlan whether ip Chester for rip?
- 1:58:02Speaker 4: And part of attacking him was we'll see how he
- 1:58:06Speaker 4: want to play today, because if Chester decided that Chester
- 1:58:11Speaker 4: didn't want to be blocked, Yeah, and Chester don't get blocked,
- 1:58:17Speaker 4: and I don't care what y'all doing that defense Eric.
- 1:58:22Speaker 4: This man is six six about three point thirty, bigger, stronger, faster.
- 1:58:27Speaker 4: But you catch Chester about half the time. He'd be
- 1:58:30Speaker 4: out there playing for the money. That there playing for
- 1:58:33Speaker 4: the money. And that's what you want to get on him, boys,
- 1:58:36Speaker 4: just getting him and then here. But if he came today,
- 1:58:39Speaker 4: if wife he called him on the way to the
- 1:58:41Speaker 4: stadium with one of the more argument of conversations, why
- 1:58:46Speaker 4: don't you just go to another team so we don't
- 1:58:48Speaker 4: have to move so more, I gotta do something with
- 1:58:51Speaker 4: this anger And then you hit him and you just
- 1:58:54Speaker 4: stuck there too day he won't move today. How he
- 1:58:57Speaker 4: sees his wife on your face, We reporters totally almost
- 1:59:02Speaker 4: forget those other you do know this man is we're
- 1:59:05Speaker 4: all professionals. The you know, the margin of era is
- 1:59:10Speaker 4: so thin. That's what it is, but they make it
- 1:59:13Speaker 4: seem like, oh, no, you should always be at the
- 1:59:16Speaker 4: mercy if I call your name, then no, that's not
- 1:59:19Speaker 4: really how it works. Maybe the day to guy that
- 1:59:23Speaker 4: was Garden, AJ Brown had decided I'm gonna be terrible
- 1:59:29Speaker 4: next week. But the day A J.
- 1:59:32Speaker 6: Brown gonna get this, I'm like, you know, I got
- 1:59:35Speaker 6: four Red Bulls and two five hour energies. Get the
- 1:59:40Speaker 6: way to the stadium. Your wife called on some you
- 1:59:43Speaker 6: get get me an autograph from A J. Brown, And
- 1:59:47Speaker 6: you're like, oh, okay.
- 1:59:51Speaker 4: I get in my autograph. I got him. Now the
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: other sixteen games, he's killing me. But today he on
- 1:59:58Speaker 4: the side. When I had this autograph, she ain't gonna
- 2:00:01Speaker 4: want it. Like he didn't get nothing. Michael Irving says
- 2:00:05Speaker 4: on Shannon Sharp Show, he left a million dollar check
- 2:00:08Speaker 4: on the dresser that used to be his pickup line. Yeah,
- 2:00:12Speaker 4: he was, he was. I think he was trying to explain,
- 2:00:15Speaker 4: like he said, you used to take a million dollar checks.
- 2:00:18Speaker 4: So when the woman walked by it, oh everybody they
- 2:00:20Speaker 4: see a million dollar check. And I kept thinking, man,
- 2:00:24Speaker 4: you just keep losing on that interest. Wasn't that check
- 2:00:28Speaker 4: in the you know if he had the copy or yeah,
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: the real I think it was. I think it was
- 2:00:34Speaker 4: the copy. I remember that. I think he made a
- 2:00:36Speaker 4: copy and he just you know, he let him know that.
- 2:00:39Speaker 4: That's Greg boy. Greg was down there in the White
- 2:00:41Speaker 4: House with him, I mean catering. He was doing the catering.
- 2:00:46Speaker 4: I thought he was working Valet.
- 2:00:48Speaker 7: I guess it's a tough market because me being Michael Irving,
- 2:00:51Speaker 7: I ought to be rap enough.
- 2:00:52Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying. You still got to see
- 2:00:54Speaker 4: the check who competing with me? I left this dude
- 2:00:59Speaker 4: ten ours behind in the game Playmaker. We are in

- 2:02:13Speaker 4: gonna manifest or not, but to have the rumor of
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: the money grab called Tyson Mayweather, just to even put
- 2:02:25Speaker 4: that out there as a thing, and I'm throwing the
- 2:02:31Speaker 4: people who are going to tune in in the ocean
- 2:02:35Speaker 4: see Mike and Floyd a money making machine. They supposed
