- 1:29the head. She says, what was that for? He answers, if
- 1:34it wasn't for you and your brand muffins, we could have been here thirty
- 1:38years ago. Sometimes we look at successful people and have no idea of the

- 3:40this week's trivia question? The question was, on average, how long does
- 3:46it take food to pass through the human body? The answer fifty three hours.
- 3:53Of course, the longest part of the whole process is the large intestine,
- 4:00where food can sit for forty hours or longer, depending on the person.
- 4:04Now you know, the path to success is often paved with bricks of
- 4:16relentless hard work. It's a journey that demands perseverance, resilience, and an
- 4:23unwavering commitment to one's goals. The sweat, sacrifices and tireless dedication form the
- 4:30crucible where dreams transform into reality. Hard work is the crucible where skills are
- 4:38honed, lessons are learned, and character is forged. Success seldom materializes overnight.
- 4:47It's an intricate tapestry woven with countless hours of effort. The trials and
- 4:54tribulations become stepping stones, shaping individuals and preparing them for the triumphs that lie
- 5:01beyond the toil. In the narrative a success, hard work is the prelude
- 5:09to achievement, an indispensable chapter that precedes the sweet taste of triumph. Back
- 5:23in the day, Stallone was a struggling actor in every definition. At some
- 5:29point, he got so broke that he stole his wife's jewelry and sold it.
- 5:32Things got so bad that he even ended up homeless. Yes, he
- 5:38slept at the New York City bus station for three days, unable to pay
- 5:43rent or afford food. His lowest point came when he tried to sell his
- 5:48dog at the liquor store to any stranger. He didn't have money to feed
- 5:54the dog anymore. He sold it for only twenty five dollars. He walked
- 6:00away crying. Two weeks later, he saw a boxing match between Muhammad Ali
- 6:06and Chuck Webner, and that match gave him the inspiration to write the script
- 6:13for the famous movie Rocky. He wrote the script for twenty hours. He
- 6:18tried to sell it and got an offer for one hundred and twenty five thousand
- 6:23dollars for the script, but he had just one request. He wanted to
- 6:29star in the movie. He wanted to be the main actor Rocky himself,
- 6:33but the studio said no, They wanted a real star. They said,
- 6:41he looked funny and talked funny. He left with the script. A few
- 6:46weeks later, the studio offered him two hundred and fifty thousand dollars for the
- 6:50script. Again he refused. They offered him three hundred and fifty thousand dollars.
- 6:58He still refused. They wanted his movie, but not him. He
- 7:03said no, he had to be in that movie. After a while,
- 7:11the studio agreed, gave him three hundred and fifty thousand dollars for the script
- 7:16and let him star in it. The rest is history. The movie won
- 7:23Best Picture, Best Directing, and Best Film Editing at the prestigious Oscar Awards.
- 7:30He was even nominated for Best Actor. The movie, Rocky was even
- 7:35inducted into the American National Film Registry as one of the greatest movies ever.
- 7:44No one knows what you are capable of except yourself. People will judge you
- 7:50by how you look and by what you have. But fight on, fight
- 7:57for your place and history, fight for your glory. Never give up,
- 8:01even if it means sewing all your clothes and sleeping with the dogs. It's
- 8:07okay. But as long as you're still alive, your story is not over,
- 8:13keep up the fight, keep up your dreams, and keep your hope
- 8:18alive. I'll go get it. Thank you for joining us today. Please
