Speaker 1: My name is Charlie Kirk. I run the largest pro-American
• 0:06
Speaker 1: student organization in the country fighting for the future of
• 0:10
Speaker 1: our republic. My call is to fight evil and to
• 0:13
Speaker 1: proclaim truth. If the most important thing for you is
• 0:17
Speaker 1: just feeling good, you're going to end up miserable. But
• 0:20
Speaker 1: if the most important thing is doing good, you will
• 0:23
Speaker 1: end up purposeful. College is a scam, everybody.
• 0:26
Speaker 2: You got to stop sending your kids to college.
• 0:27
Speaker 1: You should get married as young as possible and have
• 0:29
Speaker 1: as many kids as possible. Go start a Turning Point
• 0:32
  Speaker 1: USA college chapter.
• 0:33
Speaker 3: Go start a Turning Point USA high school chapter.
• 0:35
Speaker 1: Go find out how your church can get involved. Sign
• 0:37
Speaker 1: up and become an activist. I gave my life to
• 0:39
Speaker 1: the Lord in fifth grade. Most important decision I ever
• 0:43
Speaker 1: made in my life, and I encourage you to do
• 0:44
Speaker 1: the same. Here I am.
• 0:46
Speaker 4: Lord, use me. Buckle up, everybody.
• 0:49
  Speaker 3: Here we go.

Speaker 4: Welcome, everybody. It's October 29th, 2026. We are just five
• 1:21
Speaker 4: days out from the midterm. And I hate to tell
• 1:24
Speaker 4: you this, but every election... is an existential election. And
• 1:29
Speaker 4: that is not because necessarily you've done anything wrong, but
• 1:33
Speaker 4: it's because the left is becoming increasingly deranged, psychotic, third world,
• 1:40
Speaker 4: and dangerous. Reject the violent left. Now, we can talk
• 1:45
Speaker 4: about our wins. We've spent a lot of time on
• 1:47
Speaker 4: this show talking about our wins. We've even gone through
• 1:49
Speaker 4: lists of how many wins President Trump has made good on.
• 1:55
Speaker 4: how many promises that he has delivered for the American
• 1:57
Speaker 4: people on. And that's important. It's important to define the positives,
• 2:05
Speaker 4: define all the good that has been done. But sometimes
• 2:09
Speaker 4: it's necessary to focus on how evil and vile many,
• 2:14
Speaker 4: unfortunately too many, on the left have become. And I
• 2:18
Speaker 4: have story after story that we are going to go
• 2:20
Speaker 4: through this morning, Blake. on college campuses that are happening
• 2:24
Speaker 4: as we speak, because I have a theory that the
• 2:28
Speaker 4: left is getting emboldened. They are seeing the polling. They
• 2:32
Speaker 4: are seeing that, I guess you could say they smell
• 2:35
Speaker 4: blood in the water. And maybe that's too morose and macabre,
• 2:38
Speaker 4: but oh well. It is true. And I think what
• 2:42
Speaker 4: you're seeing is the demons of the left are coming
• 2:45
Speaker 4: out in force. Blake, feel free to chime in here,
• 2:48
Speaker 4: but we're going to play the clips because it's important
• 2:50
  Speaker 4: to see this.
• 2:51
Speaker 5: Look, we've all had our encounters.
• 2:53
Speaker 6: There's a lot of people who think, I'm not super
• 2:57
Speaker 6: enthused about some specific thing in Trump.
• 2:59
Speaker 5: They wanted more on Epstein. They didn't want the war
• 3:01
  Speaker 5: with Iran.
• 3:01
Speaker 6: They're not as fired up as we are about the
• 3:03
Speaker 6: border or rolling back DEI or reindustrialization. All the wins
• 3:08
Speaker 6: that we've talked about. Some people are not going to
• 3:09
Speaker 6: be sold on those. But what maybe they should be
• 3:12
Speaker 6: reminded of, what they could maybe be sold on is, look,
• 3:17
Speaker 6: There are a lot of nasty people out there, and
• 3:19
Speaker 6: you may not see them every day. You may not
• 3:21
Speaker 6: talk to them. It may be easy to ignore that
• 3:23
Speaker 6: they exist. But there are a lot of people out
• 3:25
Speaker 6: there who, if you confront them, they're pretty happy to say,
• 3:29
Speaker 6: we want you dead. We are going to gloat about
• 3:32
Speaker 6: how we would love to kill you and get away
• 3:35
Speaker 6: with it. And if God willing, we'll be able to
• 3:37
Speaker 6: do that someday. And that's what they'll do.
• 3:39
Speaker 4: And all you have to do is look at Brazil
• 3:41
Speaker 4: and what they're doing to Flavio Bolsonaro. and the political
• 3:45
Speaker 4: opponents jailing them, removing their passports, to understand that when
• 3:50
Speaker 4: they get in political power, you are about to see,
• 3:53
Speaker 4: we are on the threshold of about to see very radical, dangerous, destructive,
• 3:59
Speaker 4: and yes, violent political actions from the left. And we've
• 4:02
Speaker 4: seen it already. This show knows it intimately well. And
• 4:07
Speaker 4: you may not see it in your own life, but
• 4:09
Speaker 4: we do. This is Alex Stein. He was doing a
• 4:12
Speaker 4: Pick Up the Mic event yesterday at the University of Oregon.
• 4:17
Speaker 4: And this is what he encountered. Stop for.
• 4:21
Speaker 2: We're not going to get any Hitler.
• 4:22
Speaker 6: Did you hear you?
• 4:24
  Speaker 7: Stop.
• 4:24
Speaker 2: I hate you. Alex Stein is a clown.
• 4:27
Speaker 8: Come to your drinks if he's a clown. You're a fascist.
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: No.
• 4:35
  Speaker 3: That is how.
• 4:38
Speaker 2: The Nazis are. You!
• 4:41
Speaker 8: You're not going to get your Hitler youth thrown in.
• 4:46
Speaker 2: Erica, that's a whore. We hate you. Everyone, you do.
• 4:54
Speaker 4: Hate the Nazi whore.
• 4:58
Speaker 9: We all hate you.
• 5:01
Speaker 2: The Hitler youth are not allowed here.
• 5:04
  Speaker 3: Get the f * * * out of Oregon!
• 5:06
Speaker 8: You're not going to propagandize children, you.
• 5:11
  Speaker 3: F * * * ing Nazi!
• 5:13
Speaker 4: Apparently that gentleman has been identified on social media. I'm
• 5:18
Speaker 4: not sure if it's doxing or not, but you can
• 5:20
Speaker 4: find his name. He posts his own social media clips
• 5:25
Speaker 4: talking about vile things, destructive things, gross things. You can
• 5:30
Speaker 4: throw his picture up, 146. And this is a grown
• 5:36
Speaker 4: man that should know better. And that's what he looks like.
• 5:41
Speaker 4: Look at the hate spewing forth out of his mouth
• 5:45
Speaker 4: and his eyes. Just pure venom and vitriol. Consumed. But
• 5:52
Speaker 4: it doesn't stop there, unfortunately. This is another interesting... a
• 6:01
Speaker 4: moment that had just happened on campus at the UT
• 6:03
Speaker 4: San Antonio Pick Up the Mic event. It was featuring
• 6:07
Speaker 4: Christian Collins, and she decided to read a poem about
• 6:12
Speaker 4: Charlie's death. And again, I apologize for exposing the audience
• 6:16
Speaker 4: to this, but it's important that you see it. Sot 7.
• 6:21
Speaker 10: I took a Plan B, and I'm an immigrant this morning,
• 6:23
Speaker 10: feeling kind of guilty, so I wanted to read a
• 6:26
Speaker 10: poem that I actually wrote. It was the night before
• 6:28
Speaker 10: the Kirkiversary, and all through the house. Not a creature
• 6:31
Speaker 10: was stirring. Not even a mouse. The flags were hung proudly.
• 6:35
Speaker 10: The memes all on deck. As we solemnly remembered, a
• 6:39
Speaker 10: shot to the neck. The podcast fell silent. The hot
• 6:43
Speaker 10: takes grew wary. For tomorrow, dear friends, is the great Kirkiversary.
• 6:48
Speaker 10: So I'll see everyone at the Squirt for Kirk. We're
• 6:50
Speaker 10: hosting that also on October 10th. I'll see y'all there.
• 6:54
Speaker 10: To BYOE. You know, vaccines included.
• 6:57
  Speaker 5: That's all.
• 6:59
Speaker 4: Are you happy with yourself now? I mean, I think
• 7:01
  Speaker 4: that was just.
• 7:03
  Speaker 5: Baby, I'm thrilled.
• 7:04
Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I mean.
• 7:05
Speaker 10: You're brave for being out here, you know, no protection,
• 7:07
Speaker 10: no nothing, no, like, neck.
• 7:09
Speaker 5: Brace, or... I'll pray for you.
• 7:13
Speaker 4: No neck brace. You see that? They love to do this.
• 7:16
Speaker 4: This is their new thing. Watch your neck. We have yet, unfortunately,
• 7:21
Speaker 4: another story that proves this. Out of the University of Maryland.
• 7:27
Speaker 4: Allow me to introduce to you Xavier Perry. Show the image.
• 7:35
Speaker 4: Xavier Perry is a DSA student at the University of Maryland.
• 7:39
Speaker 4: And on September 10th, on the one-year anniversary of Charlie's murder,
• 7:44
Speaker 4: he approached a TPUSA tabling event and proceeded to pour
• 7:48
Speaker 4: ketchup down his neck and began to convulse, reenacting Charlie's assassination.
• 7:54
Speaker 4: He then posted this video in this image that you
• 7:58
Speaker 4: proudly on social media that you can see there. It
• 8:00
Speaker 4: was captured by Campus Reform. Shout out to them for
• 8:02
Speaker 4: covering it. And it said, yo, you best protect your neck.
• 8:10
Speaker 4: Because apparently he's also a thug. Now, the dean of
• 8:15
Speaker 4: the University of Maryland, dean of students and director of
• 8:18
Speaker 4: student conduct, James E. Bond, dismissed complaints against Perry and
• 8:23
  Speaker 4: saying it wasn't criminal, wasn't a criminal act. I don't
• 8:27
Speaker 4: care if it wasn't a criminal act. It was contemptible
• 8:31
Speaker 4: and vile and evil at the very least. That student
• 8:34
Speaker 4: should be expelled. It's not even a close call. And
• 8:39
Speaker 4: now our students at the University of Maryland unfortunately have
• 8:43
Speaker 4: to require police presence at any tabling event that they
• 8:47
Speaker 4: do or any chapter meeting that they do Because the
• 8:49
Speaker 4: university refuses to hold those accountable that would threaten them.
• 8:53
Speaker 6: And the same people who make those threats will then,
• 8:55
Speaker 6: their allies in the admin will say, this is why
• 8:57
Speaker 6: we can't allow turning point events. I mean, they need
• 8:59
Speaker 6: so much security. They must cause so much trouble because
• 9:01
Speaker 6: the left are the ones who do this. There's a
• 9:03
Speaker 6: great take. There's a journalist, Mike Solana. He runs Pirate Wires.
• 9:07
Speaker 6: And he pointed out in response to that student at
• 9:09
Speaker 6: UT San Antonio, this is not a small group of
• 9:12
Speaker 6: people on the left. It is a large faction. It
• 9:14
Speaker 6: is a dominant faction.
• 9:17
  Speaker 4: The Democrats.
• 9:18
Speaker 6: cannot win elections without these people. They must pander to them.
• 9:21
Speaker 6: They must cater to them. If they don't publicly agree
• 9:24
Speaker 6: with them, many silently agree with them. There is no
• 9:27
Speaker 6: debating them because these people just want to brag, ha ha,
• 9:31
Speaker 6: we can kill you. That is what their message is. Not,
• 9:35
Speaker 6: we'll help you on the issues, we'll make your life better. It's,
• 9:38
Speaker 6: we will kill you.
• 9:39
Speaker 4: I want to show you a couple graphs that should Genuinely,
• 9:44
Speaker 4: and I don't say this lightly, but put the fear
• 9:46
Speaker 4: of God right into your heart. Throw up 143.
• 9:50
  Speaker 7: Okay.
• 10:00
Speaker 4: And more liberal Americans are more likely to disagree. You
• 10:05
Speaker 4: see that? Very liberal. That top graph in the bottom
• 10:08
Speaker 4: portion there, the top bar. Political ideology, very liberal. Yes,
• 10:14
Speaker 4: violence is sometimes justified or not sure sometimes. accounts for 39%
• 10:20
Speaker 4: of very liberal. Liberal, it accounts for 29%. I guess
• 10:30
Speaker 4: you could look at this and say, I'm glad that
• 10:32
Speaker 4: a majority still don't think violence is justified, but as
• 10:37
Speaker 4: Charlie's murder taught us, all it takes is one. All
• 10:40
Speaker 4: it takes is one lunatic, one deranged psychopathic lunatic to
• 10:45
Speaker 4: get into a group chat or on Discord or or
• 10:49
Speaker 4: in blue sky, and to be radicalized and become convinced
• 10:53
Speaker 4: that violence is justified, that taking a sniper rifle to
• 10:58
Speaker 4: your political opponent is completely okay for the greater good.
• 11:02
Speaker 4: And then you have the media apparatus. You have Jimmy Kimmel.
• 11:05
Speaker 4: You have CNN, MSNOW. You have guys like we had
• 11:09
Speaker 4: on yesterday, Tim Miller, who dehumanize ICE agents, and they
• 11:13
Speaker 4: go after them too, calling them thugs and Nazi, Gestapo,
• 11:20
Speaker 4: That is a terrifying number. And notice that the more
• 11:23
Speaker 4: conservative you get, the less likely you are to think
• 11:26
Speaker 4: that political violence is okay. One side has abandoned God,
• 11:31
Speaker 4: and the other side worships him. One side has dehumanized
• 11:37
Speaker 4: their political opponents. The other side disagrees with theirs. That's
• 11:42
Speaker 4: a terrifying graph. Let me show you something that Charlie
• 11:45
Speaker 4: himself posted on social media. This is 140. Again, Charlie
• 11:54
Speaker 4: knew this graph. Justification for murder of Elon Musk and
• 12:00
Speaker 4: Donald Trump. Left of center, nearly 50% of respondents said
• 12:07
Speaker 4: it was justified to kill Elon Musk. 55% said it
• 12:12
Speaker 4: was justifiable to kill President Trump. Left of center. We
• 12:21
Speaker 4: know where the political violence problem is in America. Now,
• 12:24
  Speaker 4: we could say, yeah, and there's Charlie's tweet. I don't
• 12:30
Speaker 4: have it up just right now, but let me pull
• 12:32
  Speaker 4: it up.
• 12:34
Speaker 5: Want me to read it? I can read it on
• 12:35
  Speaker 5: the screen.
• 12:35
Speaker 6: Assassination culture is spreading on the left. 48% of liberals
• 12:39
Speaker 6: say that it would be at least somewhat justified to
• 12:42
Speaker 6: murder Elon Musk. 55% said the same about Donald Trump.
• 12:45
Speaker 6: In California, activists are naming ballot measures after Luigi Mangione.
• 12:50
Speaker 6: The left is being whipped into a violent frenzy. Any setback,
• 12:54
Speaker 6: losing an election or losing a court case, justifies maximally
• 12:58
Speaker 6: violent response. This is the natural outgrowth of left-wing protest culture,
• 13:03
Speaker 6: tolerating violence and mayhem for years on end. The cowardice
• 13:06
Speaker 6: of local prosecutors and school officials has turned the left
• 13:09
Speaker 6: into a ticking time bomb.
• 13:10
Speaker 5: And I can expand on that.
• 13:12
Speaker 6: First of it, yes, a lot of that is the
• 13:15
Speaker 6: immense emotional immaturity that you see. Every setback is fascism.
• 13:19
Speaker 6: And especially these days, their coalition includes a lot of
• 13:23
Speaker 6: really mentally immature, imbalanced people. So that's why we see
• 13:27
Speaker 6: those trans shooters. They're told every day, if they don't
• 13:29
Speaker 6: affirm your fetish, your weird sexual perversion that you maybe
• 13:34
Speaker 6: got from watching too much pornography online or whatever, they're
• 13:37
Speaker 6: trying to genocide you. They are trying to do the
• 13:39
Speaker 6: Holocaust on you. And because those people are also, as
• 13:42
Speaker 6: it turns out, often on the autistic spectrum, they take
• 13:45
Speaker 6: things very literally. They tend to follow everything to its, like,
• 13:49
Speaker 6: maximally extreme conclusion. And so they go, oh, they're saying
• 13:55
Speaker 6: they're trying to murder me?
• 13:56
  Speaker 1: Oh.
• 13:58
  Speaker 2: Oh, no.
• 13:58
Speaker 4: Well, then everything's justified.
• 14:00
Speaker 6: Yes, everything is justified. Then they're thinking, oh, I will
• 14:02
Speaker 6: pick up a gun. You're supposed to use force to
• 14:05
Speaker 6: stop the Holocaust, right? They'll say that. There's so many
• 14:08
Speaker 6: other things. Even that number that, oh, 25% are okay
• 14:10
Speaker 6: with violence. You might think, oh, 75% aren't. That's not
• 14:14
  Speaker 6: panic button yet.
• 14:15
Speaker 5: But it really is.
• 14:16
Speaker 6: Because when you have that proportion, it makes it that
• 14:19
Speaker 6: much more likely that their political faction is going to
• 14:22
Speaker 6: have to worry about those people. They might have to
• 14:25
Speaker 6: cater to them because they don't want to alienate them.
• 14:27
Speaker 6: There's a story that came out of Germany that's related
• 14:30
Speaker 6: to this, actually. A woman on a far-left party, text
• 14:34
Speaker 6: messages came out that she wanted to run for mayor,
• 14:36
Speaker 6: but she decided not to because she feared radical Islamists
• 14:41
Speaker 6: in their coalition would be mad because I think she
• 14:43
Speaker 6: wasn't a Muslim and they want to get a Muslim
• 14:44
Speaker 6: mayor of Berlin. So she's now just living in fear
• 14:48
Speaker 6: of the Islamists in her own party. That can happen
• 14:51
Speaker 6: in America, too. They're worried about the people who are
• 14:54
Speaker 6: going to be reading that Kirkiversary stuff.
• 14:55
Speaker 4: That's the key. So this has political ramifications. Ultimately, and
• 15:00
Speaker 4: I go back to what you see in Brazil, Lula
• 15:04
Speaker 4: is a far leftist. He's a communist. And maybe that
• 15:06
Speaker 4: feels distant. Maybe that feels like it can't come here. No,
• 15:09
Speaker 4: it's coming here. It's already here. And the truth is,
• 15:17
Speaker 4: the left has lost touch with God. Every far-left movement
• 15:22
Speaker 4: in the history of humanity ultimately becomes a godless, authoritarian hellscape.
• 15:30
Speaker 4: And why is that? Because their ultimate god is the nirvana,
• 15:36
Speaker 4: the utopia that they promised their people. As a Christian,
• 15:40
Speaker 4: we know that that will never happen here on earth.
• 15:42
Speaker 4: We never expect perfection here on earth.
• 15:46
  Speaker 5: What we ask.
• 15:47
Speaker 4: For and demand... is that our God-given liberties would be
• 15:50
Speaker 4: intact and not be subject to the whims of Congress
• 15:54
Speaker 4: or a king or a tyrant. We demand liberty to
• 15:59
Speaker 4: live our lives, freedom to choose as we would choose,
• 16:02
Speaker 4: to worship our God. The left demands subjugation and pure
• 16:10
Speaker 4: fidelity to the ruling authority because they're the ones, according
• 16:16
Speaker 4: to their religion, to their cult, that can deliver nirvana,
• 16:20
Speaker 4: that can deliver this utopian false promise. And since it
• 16:25
Speaker 4: never will come true, they ultimately revert back to more
• 16:29
Speaker 4: and more authoritarianism, more and more coercion, seizure of property,
• 16:35
Speaker 4: because ultimately you, the free man, the free critical thinker,
• 16:40
Speaker 4: the child of God, is the only thing standing in
• 16:42
Speaker 4: their way. So everything becomes justifiable to them. everything becomes
• 16:49
Speaker 4: means to their perfect end that will never materialize because
• 16:53
Speaker 4: humans are fallen and sinful. So they can justify every
• 16:58
Speaker 4: type of evil, every type of violence. They can feel
• 17:01
Speaker 4: smug and virtuous as they mock a dead man who
• 17:04
Speaker 4: died innocently, exercising his God-given rights of free speech and
• 17:10
Speaker 4: debate on a college campus. And they will jeer at
• 17:13
Speaker 4: you and they will mock you and ridicule you and
• 17:16
Speaker 4: spit at you and scream at you and call you names,
• 17:20
Speaker 4: feeling virtuous as they do it, feeling pure as they
• 17:24
Speaker 4: do it, feeling faithful to their ideology. And it's demonic.
• 17:30
Speaker 4: And if you don't vote on November 3rd, you are
• 17:35
Speaker 4: giving power over to demonic forces. It's as simple as that.
• 17:40
Speaker 4: The veil's torn on both directions, and the mask is
• 17:43
Speaker 4: off for them. We must stop them. It is that serious.
• 17:50
Speaker 4: So vote. And get your friends to vote, too. The
• 17:56
Speaker 4: Medicare annual enrollment period is here. Most Medicare plans change
• 18:00
Speaker 4: every year, and many go away entirely. You have from

• 19:08
Speaker 3: We win if we turn out. It's that simple.
• 19:10
Speaker 1: It's not about persuasion. It's not about winning over suburban
• 19:13
Speaker 1: wine moms. It's not about any of that. It's about turnout.
• 19:16
Speaker 1: It's about turnout. We lose if we drop the ball.
• 19:20
Speaker 1: We are in the driver's seat. Look, this is the key, everybody.
• 19:23
Speaker 1: You have to become a force multiplier. If you're a
• 19:26
Speaker 1: super voter, just voting is not enough. You have to
• 19:28
Speaker 1: go find other ones and nag them and get them
• 19:30
Speaker 1: out of people that were otherwise on the table. It's
• 19:32
Speaker 1: going to be a question of can MAGA not.
• 19:34
Speaker 3: Just vote, but can MAGA do the work?
• 19:36
Speaker 7: You all know a voter that can change the country.
• 19:39
Speaker 4: You all know that.
• 19:40
Speaker 6: I think about that. We got an email that said,
• 19:42
Speaker 6: why should I early vote? And I just reminded them
• 19:45
Speaker 6: what you said. A banked vote is worth more than
• 19:47
Speaker 6: a potential vote. It's a vote we're not spending resources on.
• 19:50
  Speaker 5: Trying to reach.
• 19:51
Speaker 6: It's a vote we already can count on, and that
• 19:53
Speaker 6: means we can plan around it. All of those reasons,
• 19:56
Speaker 6: vote early. You can do it in person in most
• 19:58
Speaker 6: states right now still. You can drop off your ballot
• 20:00
Speaker 6: if you got it in the mail. Yeah, in Arizona,
• 20:02
Speaker 6: for example, you got to drop it off in person.
• 20:04
Speaker 6: You can't mail it in anymore.
• 20:06
Speaker 4: It's too late. Vote early. I'm always tempted to say
• 20:10
Speaker 4: vote early, vote often. But that's what the left does.
• 20:12
Speaker 4: We don't do that. But it does kind of roll
• 20:14
  Speaker 4: off the tongue.
• 20:14
Speaker 5: Vote early and vote every time.
• 20:15
Speaker 4: Yeah, vote. There you go. We are joined in studio
• 20:19
Speaker 4: by the one and only Andrew Klavan. Welcome.
• 20:21
Speaker 9: Let's hope I'm the one and only.
• 20:22
  Speaker 3: You are.
• 20:23
Speaker 4: As far as I know, there's not another, like, Andrew
• 20:25
Speaker 4: Klavan on some ballot, like the decoy Dan story out of–
• 20:29
  Speaker 4: Out of Alaska?
• 20:30
Speaker 9: No, they're still looking.
• 20:31
Speaker 4: Yeah, well, by the way, we're going to talk about
• 20:34
Speaker 4: that with Mark Halperin in the next hour. It's become criminal, which–
• 20:37
Speaker 4: it's a criminal investigation at least. It's unclear if it's criminal,
• 20:41
Speaker 4: but it's certainly not a positive reflection on our current
• 20:44
Speaker 4: political moment. It's a dirty trick.
• 20:45
Speaker 9: It's an absolutely dirty trick. I mean you can't get
• 20:48
Speaker 9: much dirtier than that, and it's so– It's so low
• 20:50
Speaker 9: and petty and tells you everything. They don't really stand
• 20:54
Speaker 9: for anything. I haven't heard one left-wing speech where they say,
• 20:57
Speaker 9: this is what we stand for except giving you money.
• 21:00
Speaker 4: Their whole defense of it is actually, it's like, well, anyway.
• 21:04
Speaker 4: It's not that it's illegal or that we shouldn't have
• 21:06
Speaker 4: done it, it's that we do it all the time.
• 21:07
Speaker 4: That's their best defense, literally, on MSNOW. That was their
• 21:11
  Speaker 4: whole line.
• 21:11
Speaker 9: That was Nixon's defense, and Watergate, everybody does it.
• 21:14
Speaker 4: Nobody does this. This is the first time I can
• 21:17
Speaker 4: think of, maybe it's happened before in politics, where they
• 21:20
Speaker 4: actually do ballot stacking with somebody with the same name.
• 21:25
Speaker 5: It's got to have happened at some point.
• 21:27
Speaker 4: Like in the Roman Empire.
• 21:28
Speaker 6: The funniest one is there's definitely been cases where candidates
• 21:32
Speaker 6: genuine opposed candidates had the same name yeah that is
• 21:35
Speaker 6: really funny when that happens i think they had to
• 21:37
Speaker 6: just put a one after the name of one of
• 21:38
Speaker 6: them and they straight up had genuine and they straight
• 21:41
Speaker 6: up had like the you know the campaign signs that
• 21:43
Speaker 6: said like vote williams one not williams two vote williams.
• 21:47
Speaker 4: One think about the state of politics that it's we
• 21:49
Speaker 4: have low information voters that can't do the due diligence
• 21:53
Speaker 4: to go like which one has the r next to
• 21:55
Speaker 4: it you know like yeah it does that's the incumbent
• 21:59
Speaker 4: we're that worried about the way that people getting confused
• 22:03
  Speaker 4: i mean.
• 22:03
Speaker 6: I wonder how elections work in korea where 25 percent
• 22:06
Speaker 6: of people are named kim well that's.
• 22:09
Speaker 4: A good point they do they're much more rigorous they
• 22:12
Speaker 4: probably they probably got used to it by now yeah you.
• 22:14
Speaker 9: Talk about these low you know information voters though we've
• 22:17
Speaker 9: got candidates who literally like have declared that they hate
• 22:21
Speaker 9: the country, they want to destroy the country, and then
• 22:23
Speaker 9: while they're running they say, well, I said that, but
• 22:25
  Speaker 9: I don't really mean it.
• 22:26
Speaker 4: And literally some voters are like, well, gas prices are high.
• 22:30
Speaker 6: I said that when there was no backlash to what
• 22:33
Speaker 6: I said. And now that there's consequences, I'm going to decide.
• 22:36
Speaker 9: To walk it back. I'll say something different. And the
• 22:38
Speaker 9: voters are going like, okay.
• 22:40
Speaker 4: Well, I mean, it's wild, too, when you've got like
• 22:42
Speaker 4: an Abdul El-Sayed, right, who apparently his dad worked at
• 22:48
Speaker 4: a charity. charity that got raided by the FBI and
• 22:53
Speaker 4: the Department of Defense at the time and they were
• 22:57
Speaker 4: funneling money to Iraq and it's like okay so you
• 23:01
Speaker 4: got that then his we know his mom had long
• 23:04
Speaker 4: term ties to the Muslim Brotherhood we know his sister
• 23:07
Speaker 4: is admitted to those ties that her family is tied.
• 23:11
Speaker 9: To the Muslim Brotherhood.
• 23:14
Speaker 4: He speaks at an Islamic center in Detroit that basically
• 23:18
Speaker 4: radicalizes jihadis He says hurt people hurt people when talking
• 23:24
Speaker 4: about terror and Islamic terror. He didn't want to condemn
• 23:32
Speaker 4: the Ayatollah because it might offend some of his people.
• 23:37
Speaker 4: He campaigns with Hassan Piker, who said America deserves 9-11.
• 23:41
Speaker 4: When you ask him to condemn the Muslim Brotherhood, He
• 23:44
Speaker 4: doesn't say yes or no. He goes, let me ask
• 23:47
Speaker 4: you a question. You just ask me that because I'm Muslim? Yeah.
• 23:49
Speaker 4: He can't give you a one-word answer. This guy hates us.
• 23:54
Speaker 4: As a matter of fact, he goes to certain communities
• 23:57
Speaker 4: in Michigan saying, I hate it here. I hate coming here.
• 24:02
  Speaker 2: And yet.
• 24:03
Speaker 4: He's the odds favorite to win the Senate race.
• 24:05
Speaker 9: So they say. So they say. Well, this is the
• 24:06
Speaker 9: other reason to vote early, because there's been a massive
• 24:09
Speaker 9: sigh up, I think, to make us despair. You know,
• 24:13
Speaker 9: I don't trust the polls. I'm not saying that every
• 24:15
Speaker 9: poll is targeted against us. But I think they're all
• 24:17
Speaker 9: slanted in a certain way. And I think the news media,
• 24:20
Speaker 9: if you go on Newsbusters where they keep track of
• 24:23
Speaker 9: what the news media is doing, they'll tell you that
• 24:24
Speaker 9: the reports of positive stories about the right are almost nonexistent.
• 24:29
Speaker 9: The reports of negative stories about the left are almost nonexistent.
• 24:32
Speaker 9: They're virtually campaigning. The news media is virtually campaigning.
• 24:36
  Speaker 4: Oh, it's a super PAC. It's a super PAC for
• 24:38
Speaker 4: the Democrats. You know, it's crazy, though. It's like El-Sayed
• 24:42
Speaker 4: isn't even the first instance of this sort of like
• 24:44
Speaker 4: he hates people thing. and yet he might get elected.
• 24:47
Speaker 4: Jay Jones in Virginia, right? You know, throw up 141.
• 24:51
Speaker 4: We had this. You know, if those guys die before me,
• 24:55
Speaker 4: I will go to their funerals and pee on their graves.
• 24:59
Speaker 4: Send them out awash in something. And the person goes,
• 25:02
Speaker 4: Jay Jones, three people, two bullets, Gilbert, Hitler, and Pol Pot.
• 25:07
Speaker 4: Gilbert gets two bullets to the head. Spoiler, put Gilbert
• 25:10
Speaker 4: in the crew with the two worst people you know,
• 25:13
Speaker 4: and he receives both bullets every time. It's like, This
• 25:16
  Speaker 4: guy's now.
• 25:17
  Speaker 5: AG of Virginia?
• 25:17
Speaker 4: The Attorney General of Virginia.
• 25:19
Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah. And it just doesn't... You know, the polls
• 25:21
Speaker 9: you were showing before, before I came on, saying how
• 25:23
Speaker 9: many people support violence or at least support it in theory,
• 25:27
Speaker 9: really tell you something. First of all, about the way
• 25:30
Speaker 9: ideologies work, the way they replace real values with fake
• 25:34
Speaker 9: values so that suddenly evil becomes good and vice versa.
• 25:37
Speaker 6: And it washes out all conventional good. Under politics, it
• 25:42
Speaker 6: matters a lot more The left is going to be
• 25:45
Speaker 6: a lot more outraged if you said something a decade
• 25:48
Speaker 6: ago that they decide is racist than if you're a
• 25:52
Speaker 6: serial liar, if you're a serial adulterer, if you're known
• 25:55
  Speaker 6: for being manipulative.
• 25:56
Speaker 5: And cruel and awful.
• 25:57
Speaker 4: And in fact, they cultivate all of those. Or if
• 25:59
Speaker 4: you gloat over Charlie's murder.
• 26:00
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 26:00
Speaker 6: So it's so visible with that girl at UT San
• 26:02
Speaker 6: Antonio that– What she's saying is gross, but what's repulsive
• 26:06
Speaker 6: about it is not the literal words. It's that this
• 26:08
Speaker 6: is clearly a hateful, nasty person. That even if she
• 26:13
Speaker 6: weren't saying this to our face, you can tell she
• 26:15
Speaker 6: is an awful person because of how she behaves.
• 26:18
  Speaker 4: Apparently she's a Brazilian immigrant.
• 26:20
Speaker 5: Well, send her back.
• 26:21
Speaker 4: Send her back. I'm in full favor of her getting deported.
• 26:24
Speaker 4: I'm not going to dox her, but I am very
• 26:27
Speaker 4: okay if she gets deported.
• 26:28
  Speaker 3: I would.
• 26:28
Speaker 5: I just don't know her name.
• 26:29
  Speaker 9: Otherwise, I wouldn't.
• 26:30
Speaker 4: It's on the internet, but don't say it.
• 26:31
Speaker 9: They always have that smile, that same self-satisfied smile.
• 26:34
  Speaker 5: It's a psychopathic smile.
• 26:36
  Speaker 9: It is.
• 26:37
Speaker 5: You look like a horror movie.
• 26:38
Speaker 9: These are people without any problems. These are people living
• 26:40
Speaker 9: in America without any... She's Gidget. She's like this kid.
• 26:44
Speaker 9: She doesn't have any kind of tragic problems that require death,
• 26:48
Speaker 9: that require murdering other people or laughing at the murder
• 26:51
Speaker 9: of other people. She's fine.
• 26:52
  Speaker 2: Everything's good.
• 26:53
Speaker 6: A sign of that is that their personality is also fake.
• 26:56
Speaker 6: On top of everything else she does, it's like they're
• 26:59
Speaker 6: acting at all times.
• 27:00
  Speaker 2: It's put on.
• 27:00
  Speaker 4: It's cosplay. It's formative.
• 27:01
Speaker 6: It's like they're imitating a character they saw on television,
• 27:04
Speaker 6: which people have always done. They've imitated poetry characters, novel characters.
• 27:09
Speaker 6: But I think our novels used to be a little
• 27:10
Speaker 6: bit better or at least more morally self-affirming.
• 27:13
Speaker 5: Now they're just acting.
• 27:14
Speaker 6: Like people giving villain speeches in bad TV shows.
• 27:17
Speaker 4: Segway, you brought up novels and characters.
• 27:19
  Speaker 7: Yes.
• 27:19
Speaker 4: You've got a new book out.
• 27:21
Speaker 9: I do. I do. Find Me Nowhere. It is another
• 27:24
Speaker 9: thriller in my Cameron Winter series, which has been a
• 27:26
Speaker 9: best-selling series. I just want to say.
• 27:28
  Speaker 4: Congrats on that.
• 27:29
Speaker 9: Thank you. We've got the graphic here.
• 27:31
Speaker 4: It's a beautiful cover, by the way.
• 27:34
Speaker 9: I think so, too. They did a great job. They
• 27:36
Speaker 9: caught the romance of the story. It's an action story,
• 27:39
Speaker 9: but it's got a lot of romance in it. I
• 27:40
Speaker 9: was at Poison Pen, which is one of the two
• 27:43
Speaker 9: greatest crime bookstores in the country. It's right here in Phoenix,
• 27:47
Speaker 9: in Scottsdale. If you've never been to it, it's a
• 27:49
Speaker 9: really great bookstore. And the place was packed, and it
• 27:52
Speaker 9: was incredibly touching. They ran out of books, but they
• 27:56
Speaker 9: won't do that in Dallas. I'll be in Dallas on
• 27:57
Speaker 9: Friday at the Interrobang Bookstore. And it's been incredibly moving
• 28:02
Speaker 9: to have people show up and talk about what it
• 28:05
Speaker 9: means to have some art that isn't destructive, that isn't
• 28:10
Speaker 9: putting forward this leftist vision that we get over and
• 28:12
Speaker 9: over in every movie, every TV show, every late night
• 28:15
Speaker 9: comic has the same opinion. And if you don't have
• 28:18
Speaker 9: that opinion, they will hound you to death somehow. basically
• 28:22
Speaker 9: because I have a publisher who has supported me even
• 28:24
Speaker 9: when my books weren't selling.
• 28:25
Speaker 4: Who's your publisher? We should give him a shout.
• 28:26
Speaker 9: Yes, Mysterious Press, and it is run by Otto Penzler,
• 28:30
Speaker 9: who is the great mystery and crime editor of the
• 28:34
  Speaker 9: last generation.
• 28:34
Speaker 4: Wait, his name is Otto Penzler?
• 28:36
  Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah.
• 28:38
  Speaker 5: Otto Penzler?
• 28:38
Speaker 9: I've teased him about that, too.
• 28:40
Speaker 4: He's got a portrait at the White House.
• 28:42
Speaker 9: But he is a hard, hard-boiled guy who just will
• 28:45
Speaker 9: take the flack that we have taken together. And the
• 28:47
Speaker 9: thing about this is, the thing about these books, you know,
• 28:50
Speaker 9: These are books about a man who was a bad man.
• 28:53
Speaker 9: He was an assassin who was trying to become a
• 28:55
Speaker 9: good man. And the reason I'm writing these is because
• 28:57
Speaker 9: if you watch TV, if you watch the great shows
• 28:59
Speaker 9: that came out in the 2000s, Breaking Bad, The Sopranos,
• 29:02
Speaker 9: The Shield, The Wire, it was all about real men,
• 29:06
Speaker 9: but they were all bad guys. They were all corrupt.
• 29:08
Speaker 9: And I had been writing about that in the 90s,
• 29:10
Speaker 9: and so I wondered why this was the case, why
• 29:12
Speaker 9: they were all that kind of guy. And I thought, well,
• 29:15
Speaker 9: when you outlaw masculinity, only outlaws can be masculine. So
• 29:19
Speaker 9: what would it take to create a character who's a
• 29:22
Speaker 9: real man, but a good man. And the reason they
• 29:24
Speaker 9: can't do it in Hollywood, there's a simple reason, is
• 29:26
Speaker 9: they can't write real women. There's nothing that will get
• 29:30
Speaker 9: you shot down faster than writing women as women actually are.
• 29:33
Speaker 9: And so that's what I do. And I've had problems.
• 29:36
Speaker 9: I've had editors try to take them out. you know
• 29:38
Speaker 9: can't this woman you know punch somebody in the face
• 29:41
Speaker 9: not without breaking her hand and getting her you know
• 29:43
Speaker 9: kicked to death no she can't you know and so
• 29:46
Speaker 9: she actually needs men to protect them and support them
• 29:49
Speaker 9: and they just don't want to write.
• 29:50
Speaker 4: That so chauvinist I am a total sexist.
• 29:53
Speaker 6: Everyone's brain is cooked by the Avengers. Everyone's got to
• 29:55
Speaker 6: be that Black Widow, Scarlett Johansson.
• 29:57
Speaker 4: Or Scarlett Johansson. Yeah, Scarlett Johansson.
• 29:59
Speaker 2: Is that Black Widow?
• 29:59
  Speaker 4: I don't watch them.
• 30:01
  Speaker 5: I think so.
• 30:01
Speaker 4: I might get it wrong. I think Russ watches them
• 30:02
Speaker 4: for me, so I can just ask him about it. So, yeah,
• 30:06
Speaker 4: I mean, the idea that women need protection is actually,
• 30:10
Speaker 4: it should be a beautiful thing.
• 30:11
Speaker 9: It is a beautiful thing.
• 30:13
Speaker 4: And yet we've turned it into something that's, you know,
• 30:15
Speaker 4: like so much of our culture, it's like completely upside down.
• 30:19
Speaker 4: But I think that's why what you're doing is actually
• 30:22
Speaker 4: really important because you're ensuring that there's a remnant at
• 30:26
  Speaker 4: the very least.
• 30:27
Speaker 9: Well, absolutely, and I really do believe– women are reading
• 30:30
Speaker 9: these books that are filled with kind of violent sex
• 30:33
Speaker 9: against women. They're getting turned on by sadistic sex, and
• 30:38
Speaker 9: I want them to be turned on by dominant love.
• 30:41
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 30:42
Speaker 4: Get turned on by dominant love. That's a good, that's
• 30:44
  Speaker 4: a one-liner for you. Andrew Klayman, everybody. I don't want
• 30:48
Speaker 4: to get you and Dennis Prager in a room. This
• 30:50
Speaker 4: could be dangerous. You know, you have been in this
• 30:55
Speaker 4: space a long time. We were just talking in the
• 30:58
Speaker 4: break about how when you started at Daily Wire, every
• 31:03
Speaker 4: word you uttered would be cancelable.
• 31:06
  Speaker 2: Now.
• 31:07
Speaker 4: You could say that in much, much more spicy things.
• 31:10
Speaker 9: Yeah, we totally shifted.
• 31:12
Speaker 4: And so the Overton window has completely expanded, and I
• 31:15
Speaker 4: think in a positive direction. But we are also living
• 31:20
Speaker 4: in a time where you have a lot of bad actors, charlatans, frauds, grifters,
• 31:26
Speaker 4: con artists, that have infiltrated the ranks. And there's a
• 31:31
Speaker 4: lot of division. Based on your perspectives, having been one
• 31:37
Speaker 4: of the pioneers in sort of the right-wing new media space.
• 31:41
Speaker 4: Where are we at now?
• 31:43
Speaker 9: A really good question. You know, Clavin's Law. Here's Clavin's Law.
• 31:48
Speaker 9: Three-part law. Every reform movement in America gets taken over
• 31:52
Speaker 9: by the left. And when it gets taken over by
• 31:54
Speaker 9: the left, its original intentions become the opposite of what
• 31:57
Speaker 9: they were. So they put you in a position where
• 31:59
Speaker 9: you attack them, and they think you're attacking the original intention,
• 32:03
Speaker 9: when really you're attacking leftism. So just for instance, you
• 32:06
Speaker 9: start out with Martin Luther King saying, don't judge a
• 32:09
Speaker 9: man by the color of his skin. Judge him by
• 32:10
Speaker 9: the content of his character. I'm in. That's good Christian theology,
• 32:13
Speaker 9: good Americanism. I'm there. They take it over. It's like,
• 32:16
Speaker 9: don't hire white people. Only hire black people. You go, wait, no,
• 32:20
Speaker 9: I'm against that. And they say, well, you're against Martin
• 32:21
Speaker 9: Luther King. No, no, no, wait.
• 32:22
Speaker 6: And the way every left-wing cause ends up going, anything
• 32:26
Speaker 6: vaguely progressive ends up in the omnic cause. So it's
• 32:29
Speaker 6: like the Sierra Club used to be critical of immigration
• 32:31
Speaker 6: because they said it would stress America's ecosystem. And now,
• 32:34
Speaker 6: after 2020, the Sierra Club is just all in on
• 32:37
Speaker 6: open borders. And it turns out the only thing that
• 32:38
Speaker 6: matters is, do we have enough LGBT people outside? And
• 32:42
Speaker 6: it's like, the number one things are fighting racism and
• 32:44
Speaker 6: white supremacy. You're not an environmental group anymore.
• 32:46
Speaker 9: Well, exactly. And feminism is the perfect example. It starts out,
• 32:50
Speaker 9: women should have human rights. You go, absolutely. That's all American.
• 32:53
Speaker 9: It ends up, the family is awful. If you want
• 32:56
Speaker 9: to take care of your children, you're nothing. You stink.
• 32:59
Speaker 9: And men are terrible. And you can go and get
• 33:01
Speaker 9: have sex with 15 people willingly and then call it
• 33:03
Speaker 9: a rape. And it's, you know, it's just all nonsense.
• 33:06
Speaker 9: So the right has to understand who they are and
• 33:08
Speaker 9: what they're about and what the target is so that
• 33:10
Speaker 9: we don't go past the target. You know, you don't
• 33:12
Speaker 9: want to overshoot the target. And for me, the target
• 33:14
Speaker 9: is always liberty. It's always being able to say and
• 33:17
Speaker 9: pray and think what you want without somebody thinking that
• 33:22
Speaker 9: I got elected, I can tell you to shut up.
• 33:24
Speaker 9: People have forgotten. You know, listen, I've been alive since
• 33:27
Speaker 9: the Jurassic period And the Biden administration was the largest
• 33:31
Speaker 9: assault on the First Amendment rights of Americans I have
• 33:34
Speaker 9: ever experienced. It was what they always say the McCarthy
• 33:38
Speaker 9: era was. They shut down churches. They arrested people. They
• 33:42
Speaker 9: tackled people for walking outside. They threw people off social
• 33:47
Speaker 9: media for speaking the truth. They told you the Daily
• 33:50
Speaker 9: Wire was almost destroyed. I mean, we really had to
• 33:52
Speaker 9: fight back to not be thrown off Facebook and all
• 33:56
Speaker 9: the social media platforms. With the collusion of the government,
• 33:59
Speaker 9: which the Supreme Court has already said is against the Constitution,
• 34:02
Speaker 9: they colluded with the government and social media to say
• 34:06
Speaker 9: you can't say these things. We fought back. We won
• 34:09
Speaker 9: the reelection. This is what my show is going to
• 34:12
Speaker 9: be about this week. I want to remind people what
• 34:14
Speaker 9: it meant when Trump got reelected, the uphill climb that was.
• 34:18
Speaker 9: We couldn't have done it if Trump were not the
• 34:20
Speaker 9: indestructible human being that he is. But still, he couldn't
• 34:24
Speaker 9: have done it either without this rebel media backing him
• 34:26
Speaker 9: up and exposing what the left was doing.
• 34:28
Speaker 4: Well, but now the rebel media is rebelling against itself
• 34:31
Speaker 4: and rebelling against President Trump in some way.
• 34:33
Speaker 9: And that is a luxury we have because we won.
• 34:36
Speaker 9: And it's something we should really rise above.
• 34:39
Speaker 4: Well, it's, you know, what you just said is powerful.
• 34:41
Speaker 4: The fact that rebel media, and we'll just call it that,
• 34:44
Speaker 4: it's as good a term as any, rebel right-wing media,
• 34:48
Speaker 4: that fought to exist in the first place, that now
• 34:51
Speaker 4: they have the luxury... to chip at each other and
• 34:55
Speaker 4: to complain and kvetch about gas prices or the Iran war, which,
• 35:02
Speaker 4: to be fair, we've kvetched about a little bit here too.
• 35:05
Speaker 4: But the fact that they have that ability is a
• 35:08
Speaker 4: luxury that was so hard fought. And it reminds me
• 35:11
Speaker 4: of one of, I think, one of the most powerful
• 35:12
Speaker 4: biblical stories where Esau sells his birthright for a bowl
• 35:18
Speaker 4: of porridge. And it's like, what are we giving up
• 35:24
Speaker 4: And what are we getting in return when we shoot
• 35:28
Speaker 4: inside the tent? When we fray at the edges where,
• 35:32
Speaker 4: you know, you've got Marjorie Taylor Greene, you've got Tucker Carlson,
• 35:36
Speaker 4: you've got, who else do we got? You've got, I guess,
• 35:39
Speaker 4: Joe Kent, you've got Thomas Massey. These people, James Fishbeck,
• 35:44
Speaker 4: they're trying to coalesce around sort of like a fringe offshoot,
• 35:48
Speaker 4: which if you know the way American politics worked, That
• 35:52
Speaker 4: will end in pure destruction. You are handing the power
• 35:55
Speaker 4: over to the left. There's no other opportunity. If you're
• 35:57
Speaker 4: successful in getting in the ballot or creating enough disillusionment
• 36:02
Speaker 4: on the right, that's the only place that ends.
• 36:04
Speaker 6: It's such a suicidal thing because the reason politics just
• 36:07
Speaker 6: endlessly feels higher stakes is that we have seen the
• 36:10
Speaker 6: left has increasingly gone in the direction of being a, like,
• 36:13
Speaker 6: blow up America now button. That they will openly say, like,
• 36:17
Speaker 6: we need to destroy the Constitution, destroy the Supreme Court,
• 36:20
  Speaker 6: destroy the presidency.
• 36:21
  Speaker 8: Yeah.
• 36:22
Speaker 6: Destroy America's borders, absolutely flood America with foreigners, race communism,
• 36:27
Speaker 6: actual communism. They want to do all of these things.
• 36:30
Speaker 6: It's very obvious they want to do that. They loudly
• 36:32
Speaker 6: shout that they do it, and then you have a
• 36:33
Speaker 6: faction of people supposedly conservatives supposedly on the right who say, yes,
• 36:38
Speaker 6: what we need to do is help these people win
• 36:41
  Speaker 6: an election.
• 36:41
Speaker 5: That's totally going to work out great for us.
• 36:43
Speaker 9: And as you said before, it's like gas prices are high,
• 36:45
Speaker 9: so I'm going to vote.
• 36:46
Speaker 6: All I'm going to say is Hassan Piker will criticize
• 36:48
Speaker 6: people on the left. He's never, ever going to do
• 36:50
Speaker 6: a clip where he says, vote straight ticket Republican, because
• 36:52
Speaker 6: that'll get what we want.
• 36:53
Speaker 4: No, he's trying to reform inside the party movement, the
• 36:57
Speaker 4: party structure. He's trying to get DSA people, right? Which
• 37:00
Speaker 4: is kind of what we did with MAGA. MAGA was like, hey,
• 37:03
Speaker 4: we want politicians that are as conservative, As their voters.
• 37:06
Speaker 6: The place to express your grievances within the conservative movement
• 37:10
Speaker 6: is in primaries, it's in party conventions, it's in debates
• 37:16
Speaker 6: online or with your friends over what direction the party
• 37:18
Speaker 6: should take on issues. We're having a lot of debates
• 37:21
Speaker 6: at AmFest. Show up at AmFest and participate in those debates.
• 37:23
Speaker 4: Some of those are going to be spicy.
• 37:24
Speaker 6: But in an actual election against the left as it
• 37:27
Speaker 6: currently is constituted, your duty as an American is to
• 37:31
Speaker 6: not vote for them. Your duty is to vote for
• 37:33
Speaker 6: the alternative because... Otherwise, you are voting in favor of
• 37:36
Speaker 6: people who want to press the blow up America now button.
• 37:39
  Speaker 5: That's not acceptable.
• 37:40
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 37:40
Speaker 9: And when you talk about the MAGA movement taking over
• 37:42
Speaker 9: the Republican Party, which it did, remember what the MAGA
• 37:45
  Speaker 9: movement represents. It's a centrist idea. I mean, I know
• 37:48
Speaker 9: that Trump is an outlaw.
• 37:49
  Speaker 5: The 90s Democrat.
• 37:50
  Speaker 2: Yes, it is.
• 37:51
Speaker 9: I mean, I always say when I listen to like
• 37:53
Speaker 9: a John F. Kennedy speech, that's pretty much everything I believe.
• 37:56
Speaker 9: You know, stop the communists. cut taxes, you know, be strong,
• 38:00
  Speaker 9: defend America.
• 38:00
Speaker 4: Ask not what your country can do for you, but
• 38:03
Speaker 4: what you can do for your country.
• 38:04
Speaker 9: What politician would say that today? Even Trump won't say that.
• 38:07
Speaker 4: Well, I mean, it's crazy. Yeah, I mean, there are
• 38:09
Speaker 4: some bad ideas that are even getting into the right.
• 38:11
Speaker 4: I get that. But right now, those ideas pale in
• 38:15
Speaker 4: comparison in their severity and their potential for destruction and,
• 38:21
Speaker 4: you know, malaise, violence, compared to what the left is off.
• 38:26
  Speaker 2: Absolutely.
• 38:27
Speaker 9: And openly offering openly talking about. And when I hear
• 38:30
Speaker 9: people weeping over, you know, Hamas and Iran and all
• 38:33
Speaker 9: this stuff, I get it. I wanted that war over
• 38:35
Speaker 9: when it started. I said, as long as he ends
• 38:37
Speaker 9: it in time for the midterms, I'll be fine with it.
• 38:40
Speaker 9: And he didn't. And he's he's taking his chance. But
• 38:43
Speaker 9: if he wins that war, if he destroys that regime,
• 38:45
Speaker 9: he'll be one of the greatest presidents ever.
• 38:47
  Speaker 4: I agree.
• 38:47
  Speaker 9: I agree.
• 38:48
Speaker 4: I think he's been phenomenal in so many ways and
• 38:50
Speaker 4: we forget it. Andrew Klavan's book, Find Me Nowhere.
• 38:54
Speaker 5: Find it on Amazon.
• 38:56
Speaker 4: But you can find it in a lot of places, actually.
• 38:58
Speaker 4: But the title is Find Me Nowhere. God bless you, man.
• 39:01

• 40:12
Speaker 4: We have one of our Fan favorites back. I wouldn't
• 40:17
Speaker 4: say he's my favorite, though. You see? You see? He
• 40:19
Speaker 4: gives me too hard of a time sometimes. You know? Yeah, Mark.
• 40:23
Speaker 4: I know you can. And that is Mark Halpert. No,
• 40:26
  Speaker 4: I love Mark.
• 40:27
  Speaker 1: Love ya.
• 40:27
Speaker 4: We all love Mark. How you doing, man? Good to
• 40:29
  Speaker 4: see ya.
• 40:30
Speaker 7: Everything's good, busy, but always delighted to spend time with
• 40:33
  Speaker 7: you fellas.
• 40:33
Speaker 3: Thank you for asking me back.
• 40:34
Speaker 4: Congratulations, by the way, on that JD interview. You got
• 40:39
Speaker 4: to fly on the plane. It was a good interview. Very,
• 40:42
  Speaker 4: very solid.
• 40:43
  Speaker 3: Thank you, sir.
• 40:43
Speaker 4: Everything that we expect from you. So we want to talk, Mark, about, yes,
• 40:48
Speaker 4: the midterms, but specifically you had a take on this
• 40:51
Speaker 4: Alaska decoy Dan case, which now the DOJ is aggressively
• 40:57
Speaker 4: pursuing its investigation, potential criminal investigation on depriving voters of
• 41:03
Speaker 4: their rights. It looks like what it is. But the
• 41:05
Speaker 4: big bombshell yesterday was from The New York Times, which was,
• 41:10
Speaker 4: I think, added to the effect that the story had, certainly,
• 41:15
Speaker 4: because you don't necessarily expect the New York Times to
• 41:17
Speaker 4: come out with this, but a scoop from Kellen Browning,
• 41:19
Speaker 4: who's a good reporter over there, I've worked with him
• 41:21
Speaker 4: in the past, was the one who broke it. And basically,
• 41:24
Speaker 4: it connected Mary Peltola's campaign directly with the recruitment of
• 41:30
Speaker 4: this other Dan Sullivan, the decoy Dan. And you believe
• 41:34
Speaker 4: this could have pretty powerful ramifications in that race. The
• 41:40
Speaker 4: prediction markets only moved about 5%, but you were more
• 41:43
Speaker 4: forceful in your read of the events. What do you
• 41:46
Speaker 4: think is going to happen, and how is this going
• 41:48
  Speaker 4: to play?
• 41:49
Speaker 7: Well, I think I tweeted that almost 24 hours ago,
• 41:53
Speaker 7: and after monitoring the Alaska media and the national media,
• 42:00
Speaker 7: I'm less confident it will have an impact on the
• 42:04
Speaker 7: race because it's not being framed the way I'm framing it.
• 42:09
Speaker 7: There are dirty tricks in politics. People do this all
• 42:13
Speaker 7: the time. They support somebody on the ballot, not because
• 42:16
Speaker 7: they really support them, but because they're trying to hurt
• 42:18
Speaker 7: the other side. I find her and her campaign lying
• 42:21
Speaker 7: about it, not just before the New York Times story
• 42:24
Speaker 7: and not just in the New York Times story, but
• 42:27
Speaker 7: even today, even yesterday, they're still lying about their role.
• 42:30
Speaker 7: When the New York Times reporter, it's not she said,
• 42:33
Speaker 7: she said. They've got the receipts. They have the text chains.
• 42:37
Speaker 7: So I thought that people would frame it that way.
• 42:40
Speaker 7: And they'd say, come on, Congresswoman Mary Patel, you're not
• 42:45
Speaker 7: telling the truth. Like, come clean on what you did.
• 42:48
Speaker 7: Explain your lies and explain why you did this. It
• 42:51
Speaker 7: appears now that she's taking a page out of the
• 42:54
Speaker 7: Republican handbook. She's saying, oh, you can't trust the New
• 42:56
Speaker 7: York Times. They're just doing this for clicks and subscriptions.
• 43:00
Speaker 7: So I think that the impact on the race will
• 43:02
Speaker 7: probably be minimal. And I think at a minimum, though,
• 43:05
Speaker 7: for Dan Sullivan, the real one, I think people in
• 43:08
Speaker 7: Alaska will be more aware now about who the real
• 43:11
Speaker 7: one is and the fact that there are two. But
• 43:13
Speaker 7: I don't think at this hour it's going to revolutionize
• 43:15
Speaker 7: the race the way I thought it might yesterday.
• 43:17
Speaker 6: I mean, that's unfortunate because– but it gets at part
• 43:20
Speaker 6: of the article where– One of the things they got
• 43:22
Speaker 6: is text chains, emails where they're joking after a focus group, like, oh,
• 43:28
Speaker 6: I bet these idiots will fall for our little game
• 43:31
Speaker 6: that we're coming up with.
• 43:33
Speaker 5: And it seems like that's their.
• 43:34
Speaker 6: Strategy now, that if they lie through their teeth, these
• 43:38
Speaker 6: dumb cattle that we thought would fall for fake Dan
• 43:40
Speaker 6: Sullivan will also fall for what we're saying now.
• 43:42
Speaker 4: Yeah, the cynicism. The cynicism of the campaign feeling like
• 43:48
Speaker 4: they can just dupe dumb people. And the... Cynicism of
• 43:53
Speaker 4: lying brazenly, repeatedly, that that wouldn't have a more dramatic
• 43:59
Speaker 4: effect on the outcome of this race is pretty depressing.
• 44:03
Speaker 4: If you're right, if you're right, I hope that you
• 44:06
Speaker 4: are more right 24 hours ago than you are today.
• 44:09
Speaker 4: But it's it's very depressing that you could just brazenly
• 44:13
Speaker 4: lie like that so many times and get away with it.
• 44:16
  Speaker 9: Yeah.
• 44:17
Speaker 7: Look, when Republicans and other Democrats do this stuff, they
• 44:20
Speaker 7: don't leave a paper trail and they just don't answer
• 44:22
  Speaker 7: the reporter's questions.
• 44:24
Speaker 3: And people may say, well, that's no better.
• 44:26
Speaker 7: But to have someone who wants to be a United
• 44:28
Speaker 7: States senator just continue to brazenly lie when she's been caught,
• 44:32
Speaker 7: I find it troubling. But unfortunately, most of the media
• 44:36
Speaker 7: coverage before all this, we shouldn't have needed the New
• 44:38
Speaker 7: York Times story to know what a fraud this was.
• 44:41
Speaker 3: But most of the.
• 44:41
Speaker 7: Coverage is still, oh, how weird it is.
• 44:43
Speaker 3: And, you know, President Trump's upset.
• 44:45
Speaker 7: It takes a lot for Lisa Murkowski to speak out
• 44:48
Speaker 7: on Donald Trump's behalf. But she's upset by this. The
• 44:51
Speaker 7: governor's upset by it. The story is rock solid. And
• 44:57
Speaker 7: the denials are hilarious. The guy in the story who
• 44:59
Speaker 7: was involved, one of the many people involved in the conspiracy,
• 45:02
Speaker 7: who said his name showed up on documents even though
• 45:04
Speaker 7: he wasn't involved in the effort because of auto whatever,
• 45:07
  Speaker 7: he said.
• 45:08
Speaker 3: It's one of my favorite auto whatever.
• 45:09
  Speaker 4: Auto whatever.
• 45:11
Speaker 3: Anyway, I think that.
• 45:17
Speaker 7: The Alaska media really has kind of cemented my view
• 45:20
Speaker 7: that this isn't going to have a big effect, even
• 45:21
Speaker 7: though yesterday, again, I thought it could cost her the
• 45:24
Speaker 7: race by itself. The Alaska press is pretty minimal, and
• 45:28
Speaker 7: it's pretty much she said, she said. It's not focused
• 45:31
Speaker 7: on her lying about it.
• 45:32
Speaker 4: Well, I do think you're right about the other point
• 45:35
Speaker 4: that you were making, which is that this does bring
• 45:37
Speaker 4: more attention to the fact there's two Dan Sullivans. Because
• 45:40
Speaker 4: you've got to believe there's going to be people going
• 45:41
Speaker 4: into that ballot box that somehow they've been living under
• 45:44
Speaker 4: a rock, especially in Alaska.
• 45:45
Speaker 5: There's so many people who just don't know what's going on.
• 45:48
Speaker 4: And they'll just go in there and get confused, won't
• 45:50
Speaker 4: look for an R next to one of them. And
• 45:52
Speaker 4: they could vote for the wrong Dan Sullivan. You know
• 45:55
Speaker 4: what I thought was interesting, though, is that actually Dan
• 45:57
Speaker 4: Sullivan himself put out sort of like, hey, if you're
• 46:00
Speaker 4: going to do ranked choice voting– You can rank him
• 46:03
Speaker 4: after me, but just don't rank Mary Peltola. It's very
• 46:08
Speaker 4: interesting the way the Alaskan system works anyways, which I
• 46:11
Speaker 4: think is confusing for voters and actually a really unfortunate system.
• 46:18
Speaker 4: I think the ranked choice voting, everybody should reject it.
• 46:20
  Speaker 4: It's terrible. Charlie hated it. I hate it. It's a
• 46:22
Speaker 4: way to weed out MAGA candidates, actually. They're trying to
• 46:25
Speaker 4: get rid of the MAGA. But anyway, Mark, so that's
• 46:28
Speaker 4: your take on Alaska voting. Do you see any– we're conservatives.
• 46:35
Speaker 4: Very proud of that. Do you see any bright lights,
• 46:37
Speaker 4: any white pills in any of the races? Because I'm
• 46:41
Speaker 4: not going to let you black pill us here, Mark.
• 46:43
Speaker 4: What about Michigan? What about anything? I'm not rooting for
• 46:47
  Speaker 4: the Democrats.
• 46:48
Speaker 7: I'm not predicting the Democrats will have a blue tsunami
• 46:50
Speaker 7: as big as Connecticut. But if you listen to my
• 46:52
Speaker 7: Republican sources, there's almost a 50 percent chance that this
• 46:55
Speaker 7: is a white bat.
• 46:56
  Speaker 3: Might not be.
• 46:57
Speaker 7: You might see a lot of races where Democrats do
• 46:59
Speaker 7: way better than they did two years ago in red
• 47:01
Speaker 7: states and red districts and fall just short. But there's
• 47:04
Speaker 7: it's getting close to 50 percent chance that this is
• 47:06
Speaker 7: a white bat based on talking to folks in the
• 47:09
Speaker 7: Republican side about their private polling data and what they're
• 47:12
Speaker 7: seeing there in the races. There's not one race with
• 47:16
Speaker 7: the possible exception of Iowa in the contested Senate races
• 47:20
Speaker 7: that I would say Republicans are feeling better about this
• 47:23
Speaker 7: week than last week. And I'll just cut to the
• 47:29
Speaker 7: chase right now. I think pretty close to done for
• 47:32
Speaker 7: the Democrats are three of the four they need, assuming
• 47:36
Speaker 7: they don't lose Michigan. I think Ohio, Kansas, and North
• 47:39
Speaker 7: Carolina are pretty close to done for the Democrats. And
• 47:42
Speaker 7: that means Democrats would only need to win one, assuming
• 47:46
Speaker 7: they win Michigan, of Maine, Iowa, Texas, Nebraska, and Alaska.
• 47:53
Speaker 5: You think Kansas is done?
• 47:54
  Speaker 8: A race.
• 47:55
Speaker 5: was not getting two months ago.
• 47:57
Speaker 7: I don't know if you guys heard the president was
• 47:59
Speaker 7: supposed to go to Kansas on Saturday and he just canceled. Um,
• 48:02
Speaker 7: and I think, I think no one's told me this,
• 48:04
Speaker 7: but I think probably he he's heard what I've heard,
• 48:06
Speaker 7: which for about 10 days, the numbers have just not
• 48:09
  Speaker 7: been there.
• 48:10
Speaker 4: What's animating that race like that?
• 48:14
Speaker 7: Uh, well, that one's got particular circumstance, which is Senator
• 48:17
Speaker 7: Marshall was told by his colleagues getting gear. You could
• 48:20
Speaker 7: have a race and he just didn't. Didn't hire staff,
• 48:22
  Speaker 7: didn't raise money, didn't develop a plan to be a
• 48:26
Speaker 7: very skilled Democratic candidate. And he's just getting killed on
• 48:34
Speaker 7: the air. He's getting killed in the earned media. And
• 48:37
Speaker 7: he's become, for Kansas voters, the embodiment of all the
• 48:40
Speaker 7: things Republicans are up against, the war, the high prices,
• 48:43
Speaker 7: the tariffs, the corruption, the buckraking, and the ballroom.
• 48:50
  Speaker 4: The ballroom.
• 48:51
  Speaker 3: And health care.
• 48:52
Speaker 7: Health care, he's had a special problem on health care
• 48:55
Speaker 7: because he's a doctor, and the Democrats' opposition researchers did
• 48:59
Speaker 7: a great job of getting the New York Times to
• 49:01
Speaker 7: run this story about how Dr. Marshall's patients were chased
• 49:05
Speaker 7: down to pay their unpaid bills and turned them into
• 49:07
Speaker 7: a bad guy, and they've dined out on that for
• 49:10
Speaker 7: weeks on the Democrat side.
• 49:12
Speaker 4: Also, the diesel prices in a place like Kansas, right?
• 49:15
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 49:15
Speaker 4: It's huge. Nebraska, Kansas, Ohio.
• 49:19
Speaker 3: Massive. Massive. Yeah. Yeah.
• 49:21
Speaker 7: The whole corn belt, the whole corn belt in terms
• 49:23
Speaker 7: of diesel prices, gas prices, the war and the tariffs.
• 49:27
Speaker 7: It's just, it's just a very uphill fight. And this
• 49:29
Speaker 7: is a guy who didn't expect to have race. If
• 49:32
Speaker 7: there is a wipeout, you're going to see some house
• 49:33
Speaker 7: candidates in the same position.
• 49:35
Speaker 4: All right. So Mark, I'm going to challenge some of
• 49:38
Speaker 4: the assumptions here. All right. First, I'm going to play
• 49:41
Speaker 4: you a clip from Ari Fleischer, and then I'm going
• 49:44
Speaker 4: to play you a clip from Speaker Johnson. It's at 13.
• 49:48
Speaker 11: Actually, I have good news for if you're a Republican
• 49:50
Speaker 11: about what's happening in Michigan. I am working on that race,
• 49:53
Speaker 11: and I can report right now that early voting numbers
• 49:56
Speaker 11: are very good for Rodgers. 21% increase in Democrat turnout
• 50:01
Speaker 11: in counties won by Kamala Harris in early voting. 27%
• 50:05
Speaker 11: increase for Mike Rodgers. So Republicans in Michigan are fired
• 50:11
Speaker 11: up or turning out earlier in greater numbers than the
• 50:13
Speaker 11: Democrats actually in the Trump counties. If Donald Trump were
• 50:16
Speaker 11: not on the stump, if he wasn't campaigning the way
• 50:18
Speaker 11: he is, think about what Republican turnout would be. He's
• 50:21
Speaker 11: making an impact in these states.
• 50:23
Speaker 4: All right, that's clip one. Clip two, Speaker Johnson this morning.
• 50:28
  Speaker 4: What's that?
• 50:29
Speaker 7: I agree with everything Ari said.
• 50:31
Speaker 4: Okay, all right. But y'all play this right here. Stop 14.
• 50:34
Speaker 12: And people are looking at record over rhetoric.
• 50:36
  Speaker 2: I am absolutely.
• 50:37
Speaker 12: Convinced huge crowds all over the country from New York
• 50:40
Speaker 12: to California, from Alaska with Nick Begich running for the
• 50:42
Speaker 12: House up there all the way to South Florida. We
• 50:45
Speaker 12: have gigantic crowds, big excitement. It feels just like 2024
• 50:48
Speaker 12: to me. And I'm telling you, the polls are going
• 50:50
Speaker 12: to be historically wrong in this midterm election.
• 50:53
  Speaker 6: All right.
• 50:54
Speaker 4: Your reaction, Mark? I mean.
• 50:56
  Speaker 7: I know it's, it's, it's, uh, popular to rail against
• 51:00
Speaker 7: the public polls, but I'm not basing what I'm telling
• 51:02
Speaker 7: you is, is thought to be likely to happen on
• 51:05
Speaker 7: public polls. I'm basing it on private polls. And in
• 51:08
Speaker 7: this case, mostly largely Republican private polls. So I think
• 51:12
Speaker 7: if the speaker were being honest, I mean, no disrespect
• 51:14
Speaker 7: to him. He wouldn't say that because I think his
• 51:17
Speaker 7: private polls aren't great either.
• 51:19
Speaker 4: So you think it's a, he's trying to keep morale up.
• 51:22
Speaker 4: He's trying to, uh, increase turnout, right? I mean, do
• 51:27
Speaker 4: you think there is a possibility, though, with maybe some
• 51:30
Speaker 4: of the turnout models are wrong, some of the weighting
• 51:34
Speaker 4: in some of these polls are off? For example, in Arizona,
• 51:40
Speaker 4: we were projecting, and listen, things could change in the
• 51:42
Speaker 4: last couple days here, but most of the polling had
• 51:46
Speaker 4: a projection of 15% to 18% under 30 vote. Right now,
• 51:48
Speaker 4: I think it's at about 6.4% of the vote. So
• 51:54
Speaker 4: that changes a lot of the projections. Right. We know
• 51:57
Speaker 4: that we've lost ground with younger voters. But so those
• 51:59
Speaker 4: those types of anomalies or phenomenons could could change the
• 52:03
Speaker 4: way this thing works out.
• 52:06
Speaker 7: If you're not right about who's going to vote, the
• 52:08
Speaker 7: polls meaningless. If you think the electorate is going to
• 52:11
Speaker 7: be 20 percent black voters and it's 40 percent black voters,
• 52:14
Speaker 7: your polls meaningless. And this is a very unpredictable election.
• 52:18
Speaker 7: We're regarding Democrats, Independents, and Republicans, the three sizes voters
• 52:21
Speaker 7: come in. Very unpredictable who's going to vote. What we
• 52:24
Speaker 7: do know is even though polls historically have often underestimated Republicans,
• 52:28
Speaker 7: and that's just a fact, they might be underestimating Democrats
• 52:31
Speaker 7: this time, might be. is a very unsettled thing. That's
• 52:34
Speaker 7: why I tell people, don't live or die for the
• 52:36
Speaker 7: next five days by the polls. You'd be making a
• 52:38
Speaker 7: mistake to stake whether you vote or not on the
• 52:42
Speaker 7: polls or how you're feeling about things on the polls.
• 52:44
Speaker 7: Because the public polls are not usually all very good.
• 52:47
Speaker 3: They're not usually that high quality.
• 52:49
Speaker 7: I'm basing what I know on the analytics and the
• 52:51
Speaker 7: polling of private folks who spend way more on these
• 52:55
Speaker 7: things and have a higher stake than a CBS News
• 52:58
Speaker 7: or NBC News press release.
• 53:00
Speaker 6: So, Mark, obviously, You've laid out what you think will happen,
• 53:05
Speaker 6: but let's say we get.
• 53:06
  Speaker 3: No, I didn't.
• 53:08
Speaker 7: I laid out what the preponderance of my sources believe
• 53:11
  Speaker 7: will happen.
• 53:12
Speaker 5: Fair enough. Fair enough.
• 53:14
Speaker 6: Let's say we get to Tuesday night and we get
• 53:17
Speaker 6: what Andrew and I are hoping for. We get a
• 53:18
Speaker 6: surprisingly good night for Republicans. Don't lose the Senate. Win
• 53:22
Speaker 6: some of those races. Maybe we hang on in Kansas
• 53:25
Speaker 6: where you think it's gone. What's the narrative? What do
• 53:28
Speaker 6: you think will be the surprises within the electorate, within
• 53:32
Speaker 6: public sentiment that Made that come to pass.
• 53:36
Speaker 7: That the president trips around the country really turned out
• 53:38
Speaker 7: the base and appealed to some independent voters that Democrats
• 53:42
Speaker 7: were reliant on people like young men, Hispanic voters and
• 53:48
  Speaker 7: irregular voters.
• 53:49
  Speaker 3: To turn out.
• 53:50
Speaker 7: And that the Republicans had just enough margin for a
• 53:56
  Speaker 7: state that's plus 10 Trump or a congressional district that's
• 53:58
Speaker 7: plus 15 Trump, where they gave a lot of ground
• 54:01
Speaker 7: and they lost a lot. But it doesn't matter where
• 54:03
Speaker 7: you win a district or a state by 15 or two,
• 54:05
Speaker 7: you still get to take the seat. And so the
• 54:08
Speaker 7: Democrats will have done surprisingly well compared to two and
• 54:12
Speaker 7: four years ago, but not well enough to win in
• 54:14
Speaker 7: these very red places.
• 54:15
  Speaker 8: Mark?
• 54:16
Speaker 6: So a follow up on that. So let's say we
• 54:18
Speaker 6: get a result like that, which technically would be a
• 54:20
Speaker 6: big gain for Democrats. They might flip the House. They
• 54:22
Speaker 6: might get it. But it's less than they expected. What
• 54:25
Speaker 6: then do you think would be the reactions of the parties?
• 54:28
Speaker 6: Would it still the spin end up being Republicans have
• 54:31
Speaker 6: lost ground? They just haven't lost it all the way.
• 54:33
Speaker 6: Or will there be some element that Democrats badly dropped
• 54:36
Speaker 6: the ball and need new strategies?
• 54:38
Speaker 7: If Democrats narrowly take the House and fail to take
• 54:41
Speaker 7: the Senate. There'll be a lot of questions, depending on
• 54:44
Speaker 7: which races they lose. There'll be a lot of questions
• 54:47
Speaker 7: within the party about what kind of candidates they should
• 54:49
Speaker 7: be nominating. And there'll be a lot of questions about
• 54:52
Speaker 7: whether they should have had more of a message that
• 54:55
Speaker 7: they didn't really run on anything except not Trump.
• 54:58
Speaker 4: What happens to AOC's future or the far left of
• 55:03
Speaker 4: the party writ large if guys like El-Sayed win in Michigan?
• 55:09
Speaker 7: I think his winning in Michigan would transform the party's
• 55:11
Speaker 7: debate about what kind of party they are. And I
• 55:14
Speaker 7: think if she chooses to run for president, it would
• 55:17
Speaker 7: help her. But I think he's more likely to run
• 55:19
Speaker 7: for president than she is.
• 55:21
Speaker 4: Interesting. You think he's going to go pull the full Obama?
• 55:25
Speaker 4: So it's not even just emulating his intonation and his
• 55:28
Speaker 4: ways of speaking, but he's going to do it, you know,
• 55:32
Speaker 4: gets elected in 06 and then runs in 08.
• 55:34
Speaker 7: The socialists need a candidate, and everybody says Bernie's too
• 55:37
Speaker 7: old to run, and she's too vulnerable on a range
• 55:39
Speaker 7: of issues, and I don't think personally wants to run,
• 55:41
Speaker 7: and I don't think they think Ro Khanna's the answer.
• 55:44
Speaker 7: So if you believe that the socialists need a candidate,
• 55:47
Speaker 7: I don't know who would be more likely than him
• 55:49
  Speaker 7: at this point.
• 55:50
  Speaker 4: That's an interesting take. I think that's important, and I'm
• 55:55
Speaker 4: a firm believer that, listen, if you're listening out there
• 55:59
Speaker 4: and you're frustrated with President Trump, I think it's really
• 56:02
Speaker 4: important to look at The future, if you don't show
• 56:06
Speaker 4: up and vote. What the left will bring to bear
• 56:09
Speaker 4: if you don't show up and vote. They're on college
• 56:11
Speaker 4: campuses mocking Charlie's assassination every day. Mark Halperin, everybody check
• 56:17
  Speaker 4: him out.

Speaker 4: might know him from– he's got a weekend show.
• 57:41
Speaker 5: He did What Made America Great. Is that on Fox
• 57:44
  Speaker 5: Nation still?
• 57:44
Speaker 4: Yeah, Fox Nation. I think he is the hardest-working host
• 57:50
Speaker 4: in all of broadcast media. I think that's got to
• 57:53
  Speaker 4: be true.
• 57:53
Speaker 5: And he'll fill in for the other hosts, too.
• 57:55
Speaker 6: He's probably hosted every single show on Fox at this point.
• 57:58
  Speaker 4: It's true. It's true. Brian Kilmeade's got a new book
• 58:01
Speaker 4: out called Uniting the States, Six Crucial Moments That Forged
• 58:04
Speaker 4: the American Miracle. Everybody should check it out. Brian, welcome
• 58:09
Speaker 4: back to the show, my friend. It's good to see you.
• 58:11
  Speaker 2: Same. I'm a big fan.
• 58:13
Speaker 8: Thanks for saying those nice words, but I'm so glad
• 58:15
Speaker 8: what you guys are able to do and keep going.
• 58:17
Speaker 2: It's been fantastic. So glad to be a part of it.
• 58:20
Speaker 4: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Okay, so your book.
• 58:23
Speaker 4: So on top of all your other hosting duties, first,
• 58:26
Speaker 4: everybody wants to know this, Brian. What time do you
• 58:28
Speaker 4: wake up every morning for Fox and Friends?
• 58:31
  Speaker 8: 2.20 a.m.
• 58:31
Speaker 4: 220 on the very specific number like you've must and
• 58:36
Speaker 4: you've been doing it long enough you must have really
• 58:38
  Speaker 4: zeroed in on.
• 58:39
Speaker 6: The wait are you on eastern time so are you
• 58:40
Speaker 6: are you waking up like after i go to sleep
• 58:43
  Speaker 6: yes oh man.
• 58:44
  Speaker 8: Uh yeah i haven't had a late night in a
• 58:46
Speaker 8: long time even when i go out on weekends i
• 58:47
Speaker 8: don't really adjust too well so um i know yeah
• 58:50
Speaker 8: those days are going past midnight unless sean hannity marries
• 58:53
Speaker 8: ainsley i'm not staying up too late and that's probably
• 58:56
Speaker 8: not good they're not going to get married.
• 58:57
Speaker 4: Again Yeah, I would hope not. And, you know, but
• 59:00
Speaker 4: congratulations to them, by the way, which is it's a
• 59:02
Speaker 4: very beautiful couple there.
• 59:04
  Speaker 8: All right.
• 59:04
Speaker 4: So uniting the states, you picked six crucial moments that
• 59:08
Speaker 4: forged the American miracle. First of all, why do you
• 59:11
Speaker 4: call it a miracle? And then I want to get
• 59:13
Speaker 4: into some of your your six moments.
• 59:15
Speaker 8: Out of all the interviews I've done, Andrew, you're the
• 59:17
Speaker 8: only one to ever ask me that. And that is
• 59:19
Speaker 8: because none of it makes sense. I mean, like the
• 59:22
Speaker 8: way it became a country, the way we were challenged,
• 59:24
Speaker 8: the resourcefulness and resilience that we've experienced and some mystical things.
• 59:28
  Speaker 2: That have happened.
• 59:29
Speaker 8: And I think I might have talked to you about
• 59:30
Speaker 8: this when we were doing George Washington's Secret Six.
• 59:33
  Speaker 2: It's a while ago.
• 59:35
Speaker 8: But, you know, when Washington's in the Battle of New York,
• 59:39
  Speaker 8: he gets backed.
• 59:39
  Speaker 2: Up in Brooklyn.
• 59:40
Speaker 8: And they still got this little memorial for the Battle
• 59:43
Speaker 8: of Brooklyn, which we got just hammered in. We almost
• 59:45
Speaker 8: lost our entire army. And Washington has to decide at night.
• 59:49
Speaker 8: He's like, listen, we're going to get up in the
• 59:51
Speaker 8: morning and we're not going to be able to face
• 59:53
  Speaker 8: this army.
• 59:54
Speaker 2: I got to get out.
• 59:55
Speaker 8: So he calls for civilian ships and everybody to come
• 59:57
Speaker 8: and barges show up. And then the water becomes so choppy,
• 1:00:01
Speaker 8: they barely ever get anybody out until like 1030 at night.
• 1:00:06
Speaker 8: So by the time the sun's about to come up,
• 1:00:08
Speaker 8: we still have another 1,000 or 2,000 soldiers to get out.
• 1:00:12
Speaker 8: And out of nowhere, a fog rolls in so thick
• 1:00:15
Speaker 8: you could not see the fingers on your outstretched hand.
• 1:00:18
Speaker 2: How do I know that?
• 1:00:19
Speaker 8: The exact words of Benjamin Talmadge, who wrote his own
• 1:00:22
Speaker 8: biography in 1820, 76 pages, talking about what exactly happened.
• 1:00:28
Speaker 8: They never figured out where that fog came through. But
• 1:00:31
Speaker 8: if the British knew that we were trying to evacuate,
• 1:00:33
Speaker 8: they would have just tried to wipe out the whole army.
• 1:00:35
Speaker 8: There's no way the British thought we were going to leave.
• 1:00:38
Speaker 8: So Washington made this daring move, and he got weather
• 1:00:41
Speaker 8: to work for him.
• 1:00:42
Speaker 2: How did that happen? How did it happen that in.
• 1:00:44
Speaker 8: The War of 1812, when 1814 comes up, and they
• 1:00:49
Speaker 8: cut through our militia like paper mache and burn Washington
• 1:00:52
Speaker 8: to the ground, and British don't plan on leaving our capital,
• 1:00:56
Speaker 8: out of nowhere, a tornado rolls through Washington and blows
• 1:01:00
Speaker 8: them right out of the capital, something our army couldn't do.
• 1:01:04
Speaker 8: So that, and then you have the miracle of New Orleans, right?
• 1:01:07
Speaker 8: where a 41-year-old self-trained general, Andrew Jackson, sets up at
• 1:01:14
Speaker 8: the perfect place to block the British from getting to
• 1:01:18
Speaker 8: New Orleans. He just took an educated guess, and he
• 1:01:23
Speaker 8: just built a wall, dug a canal, and he said,
• 1:01:25
Speaker 8: if the British try to get here, they're going to
• 1:01:26
Speaker 8: have to scale this wall and the canal. But if
• 1:01:29
Speaker 8: the British landed about 1,000 yards separately, they would have
• 1:01:34
Speaker 8: been able to get around it.
• 1:01:35
Speaker 2: But they landed at the exact same place.
• 1:01:37
Speaker 8: To allow their entire army to be basically wiped out
• 1:01:40
  Speaker 8: in 45 minutes.
• 1:01:42
Speaker 2: They just defeated Napoleon's invincibles.
• 1:01:45
Speaker 8: So many times things happened that would stop us in
• 1:01:48
Speaker 8: our tracks, and it just didn't happen.
• 1:01:50
Speaker 2: And we come out bigger and stronger afterwards.
• 1:01:54
Speaker 4: So you've got six miracles in there. I love that answer,
• 1:01:58
Speaker 4: by the way. And what's going through my mind, Brian,
• 1:02:01
Speaker 4: as you're talking about this, is the fact that This
• 1:02:05
Speaker 4: is why the midterms matter, because we are defending something
• 1:02:08
Speaker 4: so precious, so miraculous. The providential hand of God has
• 1:02:13
Speaker 4: had to have been on this nation from its founding.
• 1:02:16
Speaker 4: You don't get here, and you don't become America without
• 1:02:19
Speaker 4: all of these miracles stacking one on top of the other.
• 1:02:23
Speaker 4: And we'll get into the midterms with you, because I
• 1:02:25
Speaker 4: know you've got a lot of thoughts about that as well, Brian.
• 1:02:27
Speaker 4: But what about something in the 20th century or the
• 1:02:31
Speaker 4: 21st century? You touch on those as well.
• 1:02:33
  Speaker 2: I do.
• 1:02:33
Speaker 8: And basically, it's the Boston Massacre, and we established law
• 1:02:37
Speaker 8: and order and justice in that. It's not that Paul
• 1:02:40
Speaker 8: Revere came up with a plaque that pressed into every newspaper, Silversmith,
• 1:02:44
Speaker 8: that sold it as a massacre. It really wasn't a massacre.
• 1:02:48
Speaker 8: It was an unfortunate incident. It was a riot that
• 1:02:50
Speaker 8: broke out, and they were unable to figure out who
• 1:02:52
Speaker 8: was wrong. And then I talked about George Washington changing
• 1:02:55
Speaker 8: the way he fights. He never fought like that before.
• 1:02:57
Speaker 8: He decides the longer this goes on and we don't lose,
• 1:03:00
Speaker 8: the closer we'll get to winning.
• 1:03:02
  Speaker 2: Louisiana Purchase.
• 1:03:04
Speaker 8: I mean, if there wasn't a slave rebellion right in
• 1:03:06
Speaker 8: the Caribbean at the right exact time, if there wasn't
• 1:03:09
Speaker 8: a sense that the British were going to fight and
• 1:03:13
Speaker 8: try to do a preemptive attack on France to stop Napoleon,
• 1:03:16
Speaker 8: if he didn't have these crazy designs in Austria and Russia,
• 1:03:20
Speaker 8: he would never have sold us anything. In fact, we
• 1:03:23
Speaker 8: were willing to fight to get them out of New
• 1:03:25
Speaker 8: Orleans because we needed the mouth of the Mississippi because
• 1:03:28
Speaker 8: it was like the Strait of Hormuz for us. And
• 1:03:31
Speaker 8: we just said, Jefferson says, listen, we need this. He
• 1:03:34
Speaker 8: tries for 18 months to buy it.
• 1:03:35
  Speaker 2: They don't budge.
• 1:03:37
Speaker 8: But everything calls into place. Suddenly, out of nowhere, Napoleon
• 1:03:41
Speaker 8: needs money. And then he goes, listen, I want to
• 1:03:44
Speaker 8: be done with the colonies. I can't have any assets.
• 1:03:47
Speaker 8: I want all my assets in Europe. So we lost
• 1:03:49
Speaker 8: thousands of men in the slave rebellion. In two separate islands.
• 1:03:53
Speaker 8: And then we're going to have to have thousands of
• 1:03:55
Speaker 8: men in our Navy back to fight the British again.
• 1:03:58
Speaker 8: So when James Monroe shows up there with $ 4 million
• 1:04:03
Speaker 8: in loans, they basically say, listen, he expects the fight
• 1:04:07
Speaker 8: of his life. Instead, he gets the deal of a century.
• 1:04:10
Speaker 8: They say, take it. But here's the thing. You got
• 1:04:11
Speaker 8: to double this. You got to take everything. So suddenly,
• 1:04:14
Speaker 8: without firing a shot, we doubled the size of the country. Now,
• 1:04:17
Speaker 8: there was a whole group of people like Alexander Hamilton
• 1:04:19
Speaker 8: who said, I want America to be small like Denmark
• 1:04:22
Speaker 8: or Holland. I don't want a big country. And then
• 1:04:25
Speaker 8: Jefferson was like, no, no, I want a big country.
• 1:04:27
Speaker 8: And Washington at the time had always spoken about, no, no,
• 1:04:30
Speaker 8: we got to move west. But there was a lot
• 1:04:32
Speaker 8: of people who wanted no part of moving west, thought
• 1:04:34
Speaker 8: it was too dangerous, that it would devalue our property. Well,
• 1:04:38
Speaker 8: thank goodness we had Jefferson as president. Nothing against Hamilton,
• 1:04:41
Speaker 8: but we need the expansion as president. And my goodness,
• 1:04:44
Speaker 8: the fortuitous nature of the negotiations, it's.
• 1:04:47
Speaker 2: All about timing. And America became an ability.
• 1:04:51
Speaker 8: Now we have the ability to accept thousands of more
• 1:04:53
Speaker 8: people who just wanted a shot at freedom and reaching
• 1:04:57
  Speaker 8: a potential.
• 1:04:58
Speaker 2: And overall, go ahead.
• 1:05:00
Speaker 6: It's just one of the greatest things in world history
• 1:05:03
Speaker 6: that this big, rich American continent is– controlled by a
• 1:05:08
Speaker 6: British-descended country with its success. If we just left it
• 1:05:13
Speaker 6: to Spain, the world would be vastly worse off. If
• 1:05:15
Speaker 6: we left it to France, the world would be worse off.
• 1:05:17
Speaker 6: But I wanted to ask another one of the six
• 1:05:19
Speaker 6: that really intrigues me looking at the list. Daniel Shays,
• 1:05:23
Speaker 6: that's not a name you usually hear as an important
• 1:05:27
Speaker 6: figure in the American founding in a positive way. At
• 1:05:31
Speaker 6: least I'm going off the sort of summary here, but
• 1:05:33
Speaker 6: you describe him as The Man Who Loses Everything to
• 1:05:36
Speaker 6: Stand Up for the Little Man and Inspires the Constitutional Convention.
• 1:05:39
Speaker 6: Why did Daniel Shays get in this book as one
• 1:05:42
Speaker 6: of the key six?
• 1:05:44
Speaker 2: So, Blake, you mentioned before I do the series, What
• 1:05:46
  Speaker 2: Makes America Great?
• 1:05:47
Speaker 8: I'm up to 72 now. I got brand new seasons
• 1:05:49
Speaker 8: coming out, I think, in December. And what I do
• 1:05:52
Speaker 8: is when I go out with these people, I used
• 1:05:54
Speaker 8: to be so into sports where, you know, you go out,
• 1:05:56
Speaker 8: you talk to the coaches, you get to be managers,
• 1:05:58
Speaker 8: you get to get insight. And that ship has sailed.
• 1:06:02
Speaker 8: And even news, I get to tell you, I see
• 1:06:04
Speaker 8: Steve Witkoff at an event. You see Governor DeSantis at
• 1:06:07
Speaker 8: an event. I just, I don't really go to small talk.
• 1:06:10
Speaker 8: What's going on? What are you going to be doing next?
• 1:06:11
  Speaker 2: What's happening?
• 1:06:13
Speaker 8: But these historians, they are so open to questions, to
• 1:06:17
Speaker 8: people that care. They studied their whole life. Mostly they're
• 1:06:20
Speaker 8: quiet men and women. And when I come to these libraries,
• 1:06:24
Speaker 8: when I go to John Quincy Adams' house, and I
• 1:06:27
Speaker 8: know these people live every day to bring a handful
• 1:06:30
Speaker 8: of people through this house, I talk to them about
• 1:06:32
Speaker 8: what's important. So I read about Shays' Rebellion, how it
• 1:06:37
Speaker 8: led to the Constitution.
• 1:06:39
Speaker 2: And I'm like, how did that happen?
• 1:06:40
Speaker 8: Well, I met the guy that wrote the book that
• 1:06:43
Speaker 8: found the code that James Madison said, Daniel Shea's little
• 1:06:47
Speaker 8: rebellion did more to lead us to a constitution than
• 1:06:51
Speaker 8: any other single event.
• 1:06:53
  Speaker 2: And why?
• 1:06:54
Speaker 8: Because we needed our rock star to attend the Continental
• 1:06:57
Speaker 8: Constitutional Convention. Who was that, Andrew? It's George Washington.
• 1:07:01
  Speaker 4: George Washington, yeah.
• 1:07:02
  Speaker 3: He was not.
• 1:07:03
Speaker 8: He's like, I'm done. Hey, I got you the war.
• 1:07:06
Speaker 8: Now you have your country. I'm buried in debt here.
• 1:07:09
Speaker 8: I got to fix Mount Vernon.
• 1:07:11
Speaker 4: I want to go back to Virginia.
• 1:07:13
  Speaker 3: Yeah.
• 1:07:13
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 1:07:14
Speaker 8: So when he finds out that he knows all our
• 1:07:18
Speaker 8: colonies are acting like 13 separate countries, they did want
• 1:07:20
Speaker 8: to help anybody out.
• 1:07:21
Speaker 2: Leave me alone. I don't want a strong central government.
• 1:07:24
Speaker 2: The last thing I want is another king.
• 1:07:26
Speaker 8: But when he saw that Daniel Shea is a war
• 1:07:29
Speaker 8: hero that Lafayette gave a sword to, started as an ensign,
• 1:07:32
Speaker 8: ended up as a captain because of the way he
• 1:07:35
  Speaker 8: fought and the.
• 1:07:35
Speaker 2: Fearlessness and way he led. He said, listen, I never
• 1:07:38
Speaker 2: saw anybody fight like you. Take my sword.
• 1:07:40
Speaker 8: I want everyone to know that comes into your house
• 1:07:42
Speaker 8: in the future what a great man you are. And
• 1:07:45
Speaker 8: when Washington hears that this great man was so fed
• 1:07:48
Speaker 8: up and so frustrated with the lack of representation when
• 1:07:51
Speaker 8: it came to taxes and demands, that they were jailing
• 1:07:54
Speaker 8: farmers and putting them in debtor's prison without any voice
• 1:07:57
Speaker 8: or without any court case, and he finally formed a
• 1:07:59
Speaker 8: group of regulators, along with another guy named Wheeler, and
• 1:08:03
Speaker 8: they decide to block the courthouse. And they just say,
• 1:08:06
Speaker 8: no one's getting arrested. We're not going on trial until
• 1:08:09
Speaker 8: we understand that farmers don't have cash.
• 1:08:12
  Speaker 2: We have crops.
• 1:08:14
Speaker 8: And every time we have a bad season, we can't
• 1:08:16
Speaker 8: pay it. But they understand in two years, we'll make
• 1:08:19
Speaker 8: up for it. But instead, you're putting us in jail
• 1:08:21
Speaker 8: for your new rules, which.
• 1:08:22
Speaker 2: We had nothing to do with. But they, at first,
• 1:08:25
  Speaker 2: they gave in.
• 1:08:26
Speaker 8: The next time, Henry Knox, of all people, our first
• 1:08:29
Speaker 8: secretary of war, put together a militia. First shot over
• 1:08:32
Speaker 8: his head, then shot for their heads. Two die, two
• 1:08:35
Speaker 8: get hanged. And they broke these guys up. And they
• 1:08:38
Speaker 8: told Daniel Shays, I don't care what you did for
• 1:08:40
Speaker 8: the country, you're banished. And they basically had to take
• 1:08:43
Speaker 8: his family and go to Vermont, which is akin to
• 1:08:46
  Speaker 8: Vermont back then.
• 1:08:47
Speaker 2: And he was never looked at as a war hero.
• 1:08:50
Speaker 8: But it shook Washington to the point when Madison and
• 1:08:53
Speaker 8: Knox came to see him. and he said basically, all right,
• 1:08:55
  Speaker 8: let's do this. We've got to write a constitution. We've
• 1:08:58
Speaker 8: got to do the Federalist Papers. We've got to sell
• 1:09:00
Speaker 8: it to all 13 colonies. But they knew they couldn't
• 1:09:02
Speaker 8: get out of the blocks without Washington.
• 1:09:05
Speaker 4: So that's a really interesting history that most Americans don't
• 1:09:09
Speaker 4: know anything about, by the way. And that's fantastic. So
• 1:09:14
Speaker 4: you got six. So I kind of alluded to this
• 1:09:16
Speaker 4: question before. I know it's not in your book. But
• 1:09:19
Speaker 4: if you had to give an honorary mention, a seventh
• 1:09:22
Speaker 4: that came in the 20th or 21st century, does something
• 1:09:27
  Speaker 4: come to mind?
• 1:09:28
Speaker 8: I would say if you told me in the 19th century,
• 1:09:32
Speaker 8: I'd say Gettysburg, I almost thought.
• 1:09:34
Speaker 2: But it was too obvious.
• 1:09:35
Speaker 8: And I feel like there's movies about it and documentaries
• 1:09:37
  Speaker 8: about it.
• 1:09:37
Speaker 4: No, it's good, though. There's a reason for that.
• 1:09:39
Speaker 2: But because we lost.
• 1:09:41
Speaker 8: I mean, the South just gets momentum. They're in the North.
• 1:09:44
Speaker 8: They win this battle. They're not going to quit. And
• 1:09:46
Speaker 8: then maybe England recognizes Gettysburg. The South is a separate country.
• 1:09:50
Speaker 8: They were really screwed.
• 1:09:51
Speaker 4: I'm going to give you a minute to think about this, Brian.
• 1:09:53
  Speaker 2: I have it.
• 1:09:54
Speaker 4: OK, OK. The floor is yours.
• 1:09:56
Speaker 2: Yeah. And here it is.
• 1:09:58
Speaker 8: But for a different reason, I think Pearl Harbor, because
• 1:10:02
Speaker 8: we weren't going to get in that war. If you
• 1:10:04
Speaker 8: read FDR and you read about this stuff, I'm not
• 1:10:06
Speaker 8: an FDR expert, but I read about what build up.
• 1:10:08
Speaker 8: We could not convince this country to get into the war.
• 1:10:11
Speaker 8: But he knew we absolutely had to get into that war.
• 1:10:14
Speaker 8: And I don't want to focus on the amount of
• 1:10:16
Speaker 8: people who lost their lives violently, the way they fought
• 1:10:18
Speaker 8: back that day, the amount of ships that got sunk.
• 1:10:21
  Speaker 2: But we needed.
• 1:10:22
Speaker 8: Something titanic to hit us in order to get in
• 1:10:25
Speaker 8: the war to change the world and save the free world. Literally,
• 1:10:28
Speaker 8: the free world was in the balance. FDR, with all
• 1:10:31
Speaker 8: his power, literally with all his power in the Congress
• 1:10:34
Speaker 8: and the Senate, couldn't do it. We were trying to
• 1:10:37
Speaker 8: lend lease England and have them fight for themselves. But
• 1:10:40
Speaker 8: it wasn't until Japan bombed us. And then we said,
• 1:10:44
Speaker 8: while we're at it, we're declaring war on Germany. And
• 1:10:46
Speaker 8: even Hitler said, what did you do?
• 1:10:48
Speaker 2: We had this thing. And then we were able to
• 1:10:50
Speaker 2: get into the war.
• 1:10:51
Speaker 8: So I think that moment, but for a different reason,
• 1:10:55
Speaker 8: it got us into the war to allow us to
• 1:10:57
Speaker 8: be the free country we are today.
• 1:10:59
Speaker 4: Honestly, I thought of the same one. I thought of
• 1:11:02
Speaker 4: the same one, too.
• 1:11:03
Speaker 6: I think if I had to add one, I would
• 1:11:04
Speaker 6: actually say Washington stepping down after two terms in the
• 1:11:07
Speaker 6: way that he did.
• 1:11:08
Speaker 5: I think that mattered.
• 1:11:09
Speaker 6: I was thinking in the early years, but 20th century one,
• 1:11:11
  Speaker 6: I don't know. 20th century, sadly, is mostly a story
• 1:11:18
Speaker 6: of us dividing as states more and more.
• 1:11:20
Speaker 4: Well, that's not true. I mean, we landed on the moon.
• 1:11:22
Speaker 4: Pearl Harbor, yeah. I actually think Eisenhower uniting the country
• 1:11:26
Speaker 4: with the freeway system was a big one. Not a
• 1:11:29
Speaker 4: bad one. The Battle of Midway also comes to mind. Anyways,
• 1:11:33
Speaker 4: I just love talking with historians about things that they
• 1:11:38
Speaker 4: think about, what was really crucial. But yours is a
• 1:11:39
Speaker 4: good one. Uh, so Brian, and by the way, everybody
• 1:11:43
Speaker 4: go get a copy of uniting the States, six crucial
• 1:11:46
Speaker 4: moments that forged the American miracle. I don't know how
• 1:11:50
Speaker 4: you find time for it all, Brian. I really, really don't.
• 1:11:53
Speaker 4: And if you watch what you do on Fox and
• 1:11:55
Speaker 4: friends and how knowledgeable you are, you mentioned how you
• 1:11:58
Speaker 4: get straight to the meat of it. And you always
• 1:12:00
Speaker 4: kind of know where the, where the, where the controversy
• 1:12:03
Speaker 4: is or where the key question is. I don't know
• 1:12:05
Speaker 4: how you have time for all of it. So, uh,
• 1:12:07
Speaker 4: kudos to you, my friend. Um, Like I said in
• 1:12:11
Speaker 4: segment one, all of this talk about how America is
• 1:12:14
Speaker 4: a miracle, that we exist in the way we do
• 1:12:16
Speaker 4: and our success, it helps you understand the stakes of
• 1:12:20
Speaker 4: every election. And unfortunately, each election becomes more existential because
• 1:12:24
Speaker 4: part of the country, I think, genuinely hates this country.
• 1:12:28
Speaker 4: They want to replace our institutions, replace our values. And
• 1:12:32
Speaker 4: so it becomes more and more existential. When you're looking
• 1:12:35
Speaker 4: at this midterms, What stands out to you? You're a historian.
• 1:12:39
Speaker 4: You've been doing this for a long time. What's different
• 1:12:41
Speaker 4: about it? What are you paying attention to right now?
• 1:12:44
Speaker 4: What do you think are the main storylines and the
• 1:12:46
Speaker 4: main things you're watching for?
• 1:12:48
Speaker 2: OK, here's the thing.
• 1:12:49
Speaker 8: If it's going to if we're going to if Republicans
• 1:12:52
Speaker 8: lose the House, what's the margin? And the margin is small.
• 1:12:56
Speaker 8: You got about five.
• 1:12:57
Speaker 2: True blue socialists don't like the country. You know, Kate Israel,
• 1:13:02
Speaker 2: hate Israel. who will have leverage. You know, Kevin McCarthy
• 1:13:06
Speaker 2: had a hard time.
• 1:13:06
Speaker 8: He ended up losing his job because Matt Gaetz and
• 1:13:08
Speaker 8: company wanted to get him out. And Speaker Johnson didn't
• 1:13:11
Speaker 8: get a lot done, had all types of hellacious votes
• 1:13:14
Speaker 8: and maybe could have done more, but he had such
• 1:13:16
Speaker 8: a small agenda and certain people were, it was almost
• 1:13:19
Speaker 8: impossible to get everyone on the same page. Now, these guys,
• 1:13:26
Speaker 8: Hakeem Jeffries has said he's not for Medicare for all.
• 1:13:29
Speaker 8: He's not for disbanding the police. He's not for disbanding
• 1:13:33
Speaker 8: the Senate. So these guys are, you know, these guys
• 1:13:37
Speaker 8: want to get rid of billionaires.
• 1:13:39
Speaker 2: They want a wealth tax.
• 1:13:40
Speaker 8: So they're going to, they want Medicare for all, which
• 1:13:44
Speaker 8: is unaffordable. Anyone who says Medicare for all is not
• 1:13:46
Speaker 8: even being serious. So they're going to do all these things.
• 1:13:49
Speaker 8: They're going to look to freeze rents. They're going to
• 1:13:51
Speaker 8: lose to nationalize industries. They're going to try to take
• 1:13:54
Speaker 8: Elon Musk's businesses away and nationalize them.
• 1:13:56
Speaker 2: Believe me. So that's, that's what I'm looking forward to see.
• 1:14:00
Speaker 8: If, The five layups, because they don't have any primaries.
• 1:14:04
Speaker 8: The new block, they call themselves the block. If Hakeem Jeffries.
• 1:14:09
Speaker 2: Has a small advantage and it's.
• 1:14:12
Speaker 8: No longer Speaker Johnson, he's going to be a hostage.
• 1:14:16
Speaker 2: No doubt about it.
• 1:14:17
Speaker 8: And I think we're all going to be screwed because
• 1:14:18
Speaker 8: of it, unless Republicans decide to jump on his side.
• 1:14:21
Speaker 2: Democrats never helped out Kevin McCarthy or Speaker Johnson. Nobody did.
• 1:14:26
Speaker 2: maybe golden one time over in Maine. So I'm going
• 1:14:30
Speaker 2: to look for that. The other thing is El-Said.
• 1:14:33
Speaker 8: Not only do Republicans need to flip that seat if
• 1:14:36
Speaker 8: they want to keep their majority, I think, but if
• 1:14:39
Speaker 8: the people of Michigan, this is not Washington State, this
• 1:14:43
Speaker 8: is not California. If the people of Michigan, who Donald
• 1:14:47
Speaker 8: Trump won that state twice and almost won it three times,
• 1:14:51
Speaker 8: if they think that El-Said best represents them, who doesn't
• 1:14:55
Speaker 8: like Jewish people, hates Israel, the black community he has
• 1:15:00
Speaker 8: no interest in, and he has Haley Stevens, the one
• 1:15:03
  Speaker 8: he beat by.
• 1:15:04
Speaker 2: One point, say, I don't know who I'm going to
• 1:15:06
Speaker 2: vote for. I'm on the team.
• 1:15:08
Speaker 8: Who lost two Democratic, Michigan Democratic strategists who got Whitmer elected.
• 1:15:14
Speaker 8: If he wins losing all this foundational support, I think
• 1:15:20
Speaker 8: we're in a lot of trouble, especially because he's got
• 1:15:21
Speaker 8: a solid candidate against him. I'm not asking you to
• 1:15:24
  Speaker 8: vote for a guy that's terrible. I mean, you've got
• 1:15:27
Speaker 8: a real experienced guy, Mike Rogers.
• 1:15:29
Speaker 4: So I'm looking for that. He's campaigned great. Yeah, I mean,
• 1:15:33
Speaker 4: this could be one of those weird electoral cycles, Brian,
• 1:15:38
Speaker 4: where you just have a perfect storm, right? Gas prices
• 1:15:42
Speaker 4: are what they are. You know, the economy is we've
• 1:15:45
Speaker 4: still got inflation because of some of the Iran war. stuff.
• 1:15:48
Speaker 4: It just could be the perfect storm for somebody like
• 1:15:51
Speaker 4: an El Sayed to get an office. I happen to
• 1:15:54
Speaker 4: think that we're going to hold the Senate. I don't
• 1:15:57
Speaker 4: know if it's going to be 50-50 plus Vance, but
• 1:15:59
Speaker 4: I think we're going to hold the Senate. That's my prediction.
• 1:16:01
Speaker 4: The House is a way bigger lift. There's no doubt
• 1:16:03
Speaker 4: about it. But we could also get a weird thing
• 1:16:06
Speaker 4: where we win in Michigan, we win in New Hampshire,
• 1:16:08
Speaker 4: we win in Maine, who knows, Minnesota, but we slide
• 1:16:14
Speaker 4: back in red states. You never know. It could just
• 1:16:17
Speaker 4: be a funky map. It could just be a very
• 1:16:18
Speaker 4: funky map. But, Brian, last question here as we wrap up,
• 1:16:22
Speaker 4: and thank you so much for your time. The whole
• 1:16:26
Speaker 4: lawfare thing, how much are you expecting? If the Dems
• 1:16:29
Speaker 4: get the House, you know, subpoenas, investigations, how bad do
• 1:16:33
Speaker 4: you think it could get?
• 1:16:34
Speaker 8: I think, for example, Adam Schiff's kept his powder drive
• 1:16:37
Speaker 8: because he's scared to death. I think he's ready to go.
• 1:16:40
Speaker 8: I think he's going to go. gloves off against the
• 1:16:43
Speaker 8: Trump family. I think he's going to go after Corey Lewandowski.
• 1:16:46
Speaker 8: I think that he's going to look at Donald Trump's.
• 1:16:49
Speaker 2: Relationship with business people. Here's the scary thing.
• 1:16:52
Speaker 8: I think that people like Zuckerberg and people like Musk
• 1:16:56
Speaker 8: and people like Sergey Brin and people like David Sachs,
• 1:16:59
Speaker 8: who never would give the Republicans a time of day.
• 1:17:02
Speaker 8: They got used to Trump. They go, man, we've been
• 1:17:04
Speaker 8: misled and he's been mischaracterized.
• 1:17:06
Speaker 2: I'm on board. Now you're going to punish?
• 1:17:09
Speaker 8: You're going to drag them in front of committees and
• 1:17:12
Speaker 8: try to punish them for their support? Can you imagine this?
• 1:17:15
Speaker 8: I mean, can you imagine? What are you guilty of?
• 1:17:18
Speaker 8: Supporting Donald Trump. So it's good to scare the heck out.
• 1:17:22
Speaker 8: What about these banks? I don't know if you could
• 1:17:26
Speaker 8: say that Brian Moynihan was a guy they tried to
• 1:17:28
Speaker 8: get back in, but they wouldn't let him. But all
• 1:17:29
Speaker 8: the other bankers are all open because Trump's such a capitalist.
• 1:17:33
Speaker 8: They thought they had an ally there. Are they going
• 1:17:35
Speaker 8: to pay the price now? So that's what I'm looking for.
• 1:17:38
Speaker 8: I think it very well could happen, but I hope
• 1:17:40
Speaker 8: these men and women push back and fight back and say,
• 1:17:43
Speaker 8: I'm allowed to do what I want.
• 1:17:44
Speaker 2: My business will be my business.
• 1:17:45
Speaker 4: Brian Kilmeade, author of Uniting the States. Very smart analysis.
• 1:17:49
Speaker 4: Thank you, Brian Kilmeade. God bless you. Congrats on the book.
• 1:17:52
Speaker 2: All right, Blake and Andrew, thanks so much.
• 1:17:58
