- 0:00Speaker 1: And now Move the Sticks with Daniel Jeremiah and Bucky Brooks.
- 0:07Speaker 2: What's up, everybody? Welcome to Move the Sticks. DJ Rhett
- 0:11Speaker 2: and our good friend Bucky is back from London.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Buck.
- 0:14Speaker 2: First of all, congrats on a successful trip there for
- 0:17Speaker 2: you and your Jags. Two wins over there in London.
- 0:20Speaker 2: How is how is this latest bounce back trip for you?
- 0:23Speaker 4: The latest bounce back was pretty good. I would tell
- 0:26Speaker 4: you that it's.
- 0:27Speaker 5: Probably not ideal to land in London at ten am
- 0:31Speaker 5: the day of a game, do the game and didn't
- 0:33Speaker 5: fly back.
- 0:35Speaker 4: That's kind of what I had to I had to do.
- 0:38Speaker 4: But I can say that now that I know.
- 0:41Speaker 5: I think the Jaguars are going to start doing this annually,
- 0:44Speaker 5: like two games, maybe the back to back thing.
- 0:46Speaker 6: So I got got to get used to it might
- 0:48Speaker 6: be the thing. Oh boy, we talked about it yesterday.
- 0:52Speaker 6: We talked about it last week, like if they beat
- 0:54Speaker 6: the Bills, man, what a moment this will be for
- 0:57Speaker 6: this season and let's see if it propels them?
- 0:59Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:00Speaker 5: Yeah, no, essentially we'll talk about the jack lady. But
- 1:02Speaker 5: it was like a mini training camp. They got to
- 1:04Speaker 5: b wait ten days, got to get together, kind of
- 1:06Speaker 5: get everything right, and then they feel like they should
- 1:08Speaker 5: be good going forward.
- 1:10Speaker 7: And are you supporting the Jaguars with your with the
- 1:14Speaker 7: print on your shirt today?
- 1:15Speaker 3: D Is that what you're what you're doing.
- 1:17Speaker 8: Yeah, it's a it's a Jaguar combination.
- 1:20Speaker 2: It's charge it's Chargers colors, but it's Jaguars print. So
- 1:25Speaker 2: it's like kind of you know, look, it's me and
- 1:27Speaker 2: Bucky just kind of coming together, combining forces right there.
- 1:31Speaker 2: I'll have you know, I almost made a part of
- 1:33Speaker 2: his shirt on last week. Very close, it very very close.
- 1:37Speaker 4: Wow, look at you.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Anyways, all right, let's let's get to Let's get the
- 1:41Speaker 2: last night's game. Let's start there. Raiders get a much
- 1:44Speaker 2: needed win in a game that was not necessarily pleasing
- 1:46Speaker 2: on the eyes the Packers.
- 1:48Speaker 8: They come up short seventeen thirteen buck.
- 1:50Speaker 2: I don't know how much you got a chance to
- 1:52Speaker 2: see them, see, but I think one yeah, I think
- 1:55Speaker 2: one of the biggest takeaways is just it's just the
- 1:58Speaker 2: fact that man Jordan love for all the the chest
- 2:01Speaker 2: bumping and thumping that our buddy Nebil was doing as
- 2:04Speaker 2: a Packer fan after the first couple of weeks and
- 2:06Speaker 2: has not looked great as of late.
- 2:09Speaker 5: No, it didn't look great. Three interceptions yesterday. This team
- 2:13Speaker 5: is just it's just off in terms of just style
- 2:17Speaker 5: of play and the way that I thought they were
- 2:18Speaker 5: going to play with the running game kind of leading,
- 2:20Speaker 5: it came having to make plays.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Just couldn't get it done, ran around, threw it up.
- 2:24Speaker 4: It just made some bad plays.
- 2:26Speaker 5: And really it was kind of reminiscenced to his final
- 2:28Speaker 5: season at Utah State where.
- 2:29Speaker 4: He had some egregious turnovers.
- 2:31Speaker 5: But that turnover right there, I don't know what Nobill
- 2:35Speaker 5: could do because I would have been pulling my hair out.
- 2:37Speaker 4: But just a lot of bad just bad, just bad ball.
- 2:42Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, especially I mean like they should have
- 2:44Speaker 7: gone they should have been going in for the win.
- 2:46Speaker 7: I mean, that should have been a touch a touchdown
- 2:48Speaker 7: for the Packers to take the lead to Christian Watson.
- 2:51Speaker 7: That ended up being an interception. He was just late
- 2:53Speaker 7: on that throw. Now you need to get pressured a
- 2:54Speaker 7: little bit, I think, and Watson was open early and
- 2:57Speaker 7: then it just you know, he tried to throw it late.
- 3:00Speaker 7: I think at that point, you know, you just kind
- 3:01Speaker 7: of take that thing down and live to play.
- 3:03Speaker 3: I think.
- 3:03Speaker 7: Yet I think it was third, so they had another
- 3:05Speaker 7: shot after that point, but it ends up Meek Robertson,
- 3:09Speaker 7: my fellow Louisiana comes up with a huge play, a
- 3:14Speaker 7: really nice interception in the back of the end zone
- 3:16Speaker 7: to seal that thing for the Raiders.
- 3:18Speaker 3: But I think you got to talk.
- 3:19Speaker 7: I mean this Max Crosby, you know, just continues to
- 3:22Speaker 7: be probably the most relentlessly aggravating player and talented player
- 3:31Speaker 7: all wrapped.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Up into one in the league. Like I mean, the.
- 3:35Speaker 7: Seven pressures he had essentially turned into plays that were
- 3:37Speaker 7: either negative or very minimal gains. I think Jordan Love
- 3:40Speaker 7: maybe scrambled out and got a few yards on one
- 3:43Speaker 7: of the pressures he actually got. But the sack that
- 3:45Speaker 7: he had was awesome because it reminded me of my
- 3:48Speaker 7: childhood watching Walker Texas Ranger DJ. I know you can
- 3:51Speaker 7: relate to that with Chuck Norris, right, yes, yeah, you
- 3:55Speaker 7: know how when like at the end, at the end,
- 3:57Speaker 7: Chuck would get into these epic battles right with like
- 4:00Speaker 7: it would be him versus probably ten to twelve different guys,
- 4:04Speaker 7: And I forget what his name was, Well, it's uh
- 4:07Speaker 7: Cordell Walker.
- 4:08Speaker 3: I think it was his name in the in the show.
- 4:09Speaker 7: Yeah, so he's he like The best part about it
- 4:13Speaker 7: was all of those.
- 4:17Speaker 9: All of those looker I was trying to find the
- 4:21Speaker 9: first name, okay, and so he he All those guys
- 4:26Speaker 9: are super polite, right, They like wait their turn to
- 4:29Speaker 9: get their their whooping from from Walker, right, And so
- 4:33Speaker 9: I felt like, that's.
- 4:34Speaker 3: What on that sack, you know, like they send.
- 4:36Speaker 7: Like three layers of players at at Max Crosby, Joseph
- 4:41Speaker 7: Josida Degar is the first one. He comes in and
- 4:44Speaker 7: Crosby sets him down. And then the next guy is
- 4:47Speaker 7: is Ben Simms, the tight end kind of synth comes over.
- 4:50Speaker 7: He waits his turn and he gets some from Max Crosby,
- 4:53Speaker 7: the running back, who was the third layer, He's like
- 4:55Speaker 7: he just kind of bugs out. He's like, I'm good
- 4:57Speaker 7: with this, and Crosby eventually gets the sund I mean,
- 5:00Speaker 7: the dude, it's like you could put like multiple brick
- 5:03Speaker 7: walls in front of him. He would find ways to
- 5:05Speaker 7: break those things down on his way to the quarterback.
- 5:06Speaker 7: It's just a lot of fun to watch.
- 5:08Speaker 8: I was trying to remember in that show, what did
- 5:09Speaker 8: Walker do? What was his profession?
- 5:11Speaker 3: It was a Texas ranger. I think, yeah, oh my god,
- 5:15Speaker 3: a stranger.
- 5:17Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, together.
- 5:18Speaker 2: Wow, speaking of the first name, Yeah, goodness, gracious buck.
- 5:23Speaker 2: A follow up question on that, now that we've got
- 5:26Speaker 2: a chance to see the body of work. I'm always
- 5:28Speaker 2: reluctant to do the Hall of Famer thing. But if
- 5:31Speaker 2: right now in their prime, would you take Max Crosby
- 5:35Speaker 2: or would you take Jared Allen?
- 5:37Speaker 5: That's a good one. Uh, Max Crosby's been balling out
- 5:41Speaker 5: of control. I think the difference is Jared Allen might
- 5:44Speaker 5: have had a couple more double digit zack seasons at
- 5:47Speaker 5: this stage.
- 5:48Speaker 4: Max Crosby's definitely closing the gap. But right now I
- 5:50Speaker 4: would take Jared Allen.
- 5:51Speaker 5: But it's a nice comparison because Crosby's coming on like
- 5:54Speaker 5: game Busters.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I think he's a little I mean, they're both
- 5:57Speaker 2: crazy long, and they both have unbelievable effort. I think
- 6:01Speaker 2: Max actually bends a little bit better than.
- 6:03Speaker 8: Did Jared did.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Jared had just so many different so many different moves
- 6:07Speaker 2: and so many different ways to win. But I think
- 6:09Speaker 2: they're very similar in terms of just the length and
- 6:11Speaker 2: the unbelievable energy and passion that they play with. And
- 6:14Speaker 2: rhet You're right, he's he's somebody that is much attention
- 6:17Speaker 2: as he does get. He deserves more because he's up
- 6:20Speaker 2: there in that elite, elite group of edge rushers.
- 6:22Speaker 8: In the NFL.
- 6:23Speaker 2: All right, I want to throw up a board here
- 6:25Speaker 2: so we can see these teams in the AFC that're
- 6:27Speaker 2: sitting at three and two, because it's an interesting clump.
- 6:30Speaker 2: You've got the Bills, got the Colts, You've got the Jags,
- 6:33Speaker 2: the Ravens, and the Steelers.
- 6:34Speaker 8: I think, especially if you look at you know.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Ravens, Steelers, Bills, I think they're probably hoping they only
- 6:40Speaker 2: had one loss on the in that column right now.
- 6:42Speaker 2: But all these teams sitting at three and two, everything though,
- 6:45Speaker 2: still feels like it's in front of them, is there?
- 6:47Speaker 2: You know, it's kind of a you know, it's a
- 6:49Speaker 2: little bit above average obviously three and two buck, But
- 6:51Speaker 2: when you look at it of that class of teams, Bills, Colts, Jagged, Steelers, Ravens,
- 6:55Speaker 2: does it is there one team for you that's still
- 6:58Speaker 2: above that and maybe is even.
- 7:00Speaker 8: Better than what their record is.
- 7:02Speaker 5: I would say this, and even though the Jackson with
- 7:04Speaker 5: Jaguars knocked off the Buffalo Bills, I still feel like
- 7:07Speaker 5: the Bills are a dangerous team, and they're dangerous only
- 7:10Speaker 5: in terms of Josh Allen's ability to put this team
- 7:13Speaker 5: on his back gives them a chance to knock off anybody.
- 7:16Speaker 5: The game on Sunday against the Jaguars, the Jaguars were
- 7:20Speaker 5: dominating the game, but you know, seventeen made enough plays
- 7:23Speaker 5: to bring them back to put them in a position
- 7:25Speaker 5: to maybe win the game.
- 7:26Speaker 4: And when you have a quarterback like that, it gives
- 7:29Speaker 4: you a chance.
- 7:30Speaker 5: I am willing to maybe hold out hope that the
- 7:32Speaker 5: Buffalo Bills can get hot because they have a quarterback
- 7:35Speaker 5: with MVP capabilities.
- 7:37Speaker 7: You know, I was kind of looking looking back at
- 7:39Speaker 7: what the Bills have done in a couple of their
- 7:41Speaker 7: losses this season, and it's.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Like, what, why are they sitting here at three and two?
- 7:47Speaker 8: Right?
- 7:47Speaker 3: Well, you know what, why did they lose Week one?
- 7:49Speaker 7: Why did they lose you know, Week five here against
- 7:53Speaker 7: you know, why did they lose Louis five against the
- 7:55Speaker 7: Jackson You know, you kind of go back and compile
- 7:57Speaker 7: a couple of things from the season that they're feast
- 7:59Speaker 7: or famine on defense. Right then, the number one sack
- 8:01Speaker 7: team in football, right getting a ton of pressure on
- 8:03Speaker 7: the quarterback, but they're giving up more explosive plays in
- 8:07Speaker 7: the run game and the pass game than almost anybody.
- 8:10Speaker 7: They're thirty first in the league and allowing explosive runs
- 8:14Speaker 7: and explosive passes.
- 8:16Speaker 3: So it just kind of feels.
- 8:17Speaker 7: Like, you know, if they don't get home, they're giving
- 8:20Speaker 7: up big plays, and that's part of why they're probably
- 8:23Speaker 7: finding themselves in these situations where you know, you know,
- 8:26Speaker 7: Josh Allen is feeling like he's got to go out
- 8:28Speaker 7: there and you know, try to play some of that
- 8:31Speaker 7: hero type stuff that you know, really for the three
- 8:33Speaker 7: game stretch kind of worked out of the game, worked
- 8:35Speaker 7: out of his game this year, and then you know,
- 8:37Speaker 7: in a couple of other especially that opener, you know
- 8:39Speaker 7: just felt like, you know, you kind of had the
- 8:41Speaker 7: good and the bad with Josh Allen. But I think
- 8:43Speaker 7: it is kind of a complimentary thing there where the
- 8:46Speaker 7: defense has given up a bunch of big plays and
- 8:48Speaker 7: they've had some attrition in the secondary too, right which
- 8:50Speaker 7: your Davis wide out now, Matt Mlano's out, and you
- 8:53Speaker 7: kind of wonder if that defense can continue to kind
- 8:55Speaker 7: of hold serve moving forward here.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Yeah, I still feel like in Buffalo to put a
- 8:59Speaker 2: bowl on them. You've got the quarterback, you've got the coach,
- 9:01Speaker 2: you've got the pass rush, like the rest of it,
- 9:03Speaker 2: I think they'll be able to They'll be able to
- 9:05Speaker 2: figure out. I think they could get on a little
- 9:06Speaker 2: bit of a run here. Buck your Jags. I think
- 9:09Speaker 2: we're going to know a lot about your squad here
- 9:11Speaker 2: once we get through this next month October. What they
- 9:14Speaker 2: have left. They've got the Colts who are playing well.
- 9:17Speaker 2: You've got the Saints coming off a huge win over
- 9:20Speaker 2: the Patriots, who are a good football team. And they've
- 9:23Speaker 2: got the Steelers who are in this club with them.
- 9:25Speaker 2: So I think these next three games before they get
- 9:28Speaker 2: into a stretch where you get San Francisco to start
- 9:31Speaker 2: it off, I think this next three games the month
- 9:33Speaker 2: of October is going to tell us a lot about
- 9:34Speaker 2: the Jags.
- 9:36Speaker 5: Yeah, will tell a lot. Having been over in lond
- 9:38Speaker 5: had a chance to talk with the coaches and the players.
- 9:40Speaker 5: They're excited about what they were to get done in
- 9:43Speaker 5: London because it gave them a chance to reset and refocus.
- 9:46Speaker 5: It was really a mini training camp. They're away for
- 9:49Speaker 5: ten days, didn't have the distractions of the city, no
- 9:52Speaker 5: family around it, so they've really got a chance to bond.
- 9:55Speaker 5: And the thing that it did it allowed to really
- 9:57Speaker 5: get on the same level when it came to their
- 9:59Speaker 5: trust in the level of accountability, when it came to
- 10:02Speaker 5: holding their teammates accountable for their own individual performances. You
- 10:06Speaker 5: saw a team that was more connected, a team to
- 10:09Speaker 5: execute it better.
- 10:10Speaker 4: And hopefully for all the.
- 10:11Speaker 5: Jags, they're able to kind of take that and us
- 10:14Speaker 5: as launchmore. But you're right, this next stretch with the Colts, Saints,
- 10:18Speaker 5: Steelers bye week than Niners, you'll quickly see if the
- 10:23Speaker 5: Jaguars are ready to be in that conversation as a
- 10:25Speaker 5: contender or would they scuffe just to be a playoff
- 10:29Speaker 5: contender this season.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and we go to the other team in that
- 10:32Speaker 2: division that's on this list here, the three and two Colts. Guys,
- 10:35Speaker 2: This Colts team, you look at it, that overtime loss
- 10:37Speaker 2: of Pooka Naku with the walk off in the Rams game.
- 10:40Speaker 2: They pulled that one out. They're sitting here at four
- 10:42Speaker 2: and one, despite having to juggle quarterbacks and Anthony Richardson
- 10:45Speaker 2: being hurt, Minshew stepping in looks like we'll get Minshew
- 10:47Speaker 2: for a while now with that shoulder injury to Anthony Richardson.
- 10:51Speaker 2: But they're look they're they're a good football team. They're physical,
- 10:54Speaker 2: they're really good upfront along the defensive line as well.
- 10:58Speaker 2: The two teams in the AFC North, let's start with
- 11:01Speaker 2: the Steelers. Yeah, this is a Steelers team that when
- 11:05Speaker 2: you look at it, it's not esthetically pleasing at all,
- 11:08Speaker 2: but they're finding a way to win these ball games,
- 11:10Speaker 2: really being kind of carried by their defense. I feel like, man,
- 11:13Speaker 2: this has been it's been impressive. And you know they're
- 11:17Speaker 2: gonna be over five hundred because that's all Mike Tomlin does.
- 11:19Speaker 2: But when you look at the schedule coming up, I
- 11:21Speaker 2: think the offense they're gonna have to do a little
- 11:22Speaker 2: bit more at the Rams Jacksonville and then you you
- 11:26Speaker 2: kind of get some some games are a little more
- 11:28Speaker 2: uh in their favor. But to me, these next two weeks,
- 11:31Speaker 2: they got to score. They got to get this offense
- 11:32Speaker 2: clicking a little bit. It's not pretty well in DJ Buckley,
- 11:36Speaker 2: what have we talked about a lot?
- 11:37Speaker 7: What do we talk about going into the season about
- 11:40Speaker 7: the Steelers. It was a commitment to upgrade the offensive
- 11:42Speaker 7: line right, to get better up there, to draft Roderick Jones,
- 11:45Speaker 7: and he's actually I think he had his best game
- 11:47Speaker 7: of the season this past week after barely playing in
- 11:49Speaker 7: the first three weeks, so they put him out at
- 11:51Speaker 7: left tackle, and I think he's kind of starting to
- 11:53Speaker 7: rock and roll a little bit. Now here's the thing
- 11:56Speaker 7: that kind of, you know, makes you scratch your head
- 11:59Speaker 7: a little bit, is this is a team that's still
- 12:00Speaker 7: sixty two percent pass right, and if you're going to
- 12:04Speaker 7: make that commitment to the offensive line and you're going
- 12:06Speaker 7: to try to, you know, get things back to playing
- 12:07Speaker 7: Steeler football, find a way to run the football a
- 12:10Speaker 7: little bit here, right. I mean they've scored five touchdowns.
- 12:13Speaker 7: You know how many of them come on the ground
- 12:15Speaker 7: zero and their yards before contact it's less than one
- 12:22Speaker 7: right now, So Najie Harris is having trouble getting going.
- 12:25Speaker 7: I mean, you go back to the Browns game, it
- 12:27Speaker 7: was that negative a yard, right, so they were in
- 12:29Speaker 7: you know, the the Browns defensive front is in the
- 12:31Speaker 7: backfield before they could even get things going beyond the
- 12:34Speaker 7: line of scrimmage there. I feel like for this Steelers
- 12:36Speaker 7: team to really kind of continue making some hay and
- 12:39Speaker 7: because we saw, like you give George Pickens an opportunity
- 12:41Speaker 7: one on one, Kenny Pickett's gonna put it out there
- 12:44Speaker 7: for him right, saw that at the end of the
- 12:45Speaker 7: game against the Ravens. But they got to find a
- 12:47Speaker 7: way to control the game with the run a bit more.
- 12:51Speaker 7: It just it feels like that's that's their formula. It
- 12:54Speaker 7: kind of always has been. It should be their formula
- 12:56Speaker 7: moving forward, and then still have that threat of the
- 12:59Speaker 7: explosive pass game.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Buck.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm with you, because this defense is good enough
- 13:03Speaker 5: to kind of keep them in the conversation.
- 13:05Speaker 4: But it's the offense that has to get up to speed.
- 13:08Speaker 5: We're looking for more of the offensive line domins at
- 13:11Speaker 5: the point of attack.
- 13:12Speaker 4: Want to see more Naja Harris being able to run it.
- 13:14Speaker 5: But really this is going to come down to Kenny Pickett,
- 13:17Speaker 5: his performance in the play of the perimeter playmakers. We
- 13:21Speaker 5: have seen him kind of fall in love with George
- 13:23Speaker 5: Pickens on the perimeter. We see what happens with NANNC.
- 13:25Speaker 5: Johnson and some of these other guys. But this team
- 13:28Speaker 5: not only has to be balanced, but you have to
- 13:30Speaker 5: be able to find a way to generate explosive plays.
- 13:33Speaker 5: The only way you score football score International Football League
- 13:36Speaker 5: is you have to generate big plays.
- 13:37Speaker 4: You need big plays to move and flip the field.
- 13:40Speaker 5: The Steelers have to get the consistency of the running
- 13:43Speaker 5: game while still making sure they generate enough big plays
- 13:45Speaker 5: in the passing year.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And when you flip it over to the other team,
- 13:48Speaker 2: the last team will hit on here. The Baltimore Ravens
- 13:51Speaker 2: sitting here at three and two again, they can very
- 13:54Speaker 2: easily have ball goes here there. They could be sitting
- 13:55Speaker 2: here undefeated. And as much as we've talked about how
- 13:57Speaker 2: great the Steelers defense has been, the Ravens defense played
- 14:00Speaker 2: really well as well.
- 14:01Speaker 8: They want to give it up fifteen points a game.
- 14:02Speaker 2: They're tied for second in the league, so they're playing
- 14:04Speaker 2: great on that side of the ball. They got to
- 14:06Speaker 2: catch it better. There's seven drops in that game last
- 14:08Speaker 2: week against the Steelers. This pass game is still sitting
- 14:11Speaker 2: at twenty sixth buck. I mean, I think it's there.
- 14:14Speaker 2: I would be encouraged of all these teams. I think
- 14:17Speaker 2: if I were the Ravens and that I think there's
- 14:19Speaker 2: more growth here.
- 14:20Speaker 8: They haven't.
- 14:21Speaker 2: They haven't clicked yet, and I feel like it's out
- 14:23Speaker 2: there for them. The players are there, they just got
- 14:25Speaker 2: to make them.
- 14:26Speaker 5: Yeah, it hasn't clicked. You can talk about the seven
- 14:28Speaker 5: drop passes. I mean there's some bad drops, some high
- 14:30Speaker 5: school level drops from the wide receivers of the Ravens.
- 14:33Speaker 5: And this is a team that is making really an
- 14:36Speaker 5: offensive shift, going all in with Lamar Jackson throwing the
- 14:39Speaker 5: ball all over the yard, and the biggest question that
- 14:41Speaker 5: anyone ever had, are they good enough on the perimeter
- 14:44Speaker 5: to be able to do it?
- 14:45Speaker 8: Right now?
- 14:46Speaker 4: It doesn't look like that. But the great thing about
- 14:49Speaker 4: the leave is there's time.
- 14:50Speaker 5: There's time to develop, just time to figure it out,
- 14:52Speaker 5: and maybe they can figure it out. But right now
- 14:55Speaker 5: it's been an underwhelming offensive performance due to really a
- 15:00Speaker 5: body passing it.
- 15:01Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean it was a I mean, we DJ
- 15:03Speaker 7: and I talked about it. It's on the Monday Pod.
- 15:05Speaker 7: It was just it was a comedy of theirs. You know,
- 15:08Speaker 7: started in the second quarter down in the red zone
- 15:10Speaker 7: with a you know, Mark andrews uncharacteristic drop, then Rashad
- 15:13Speaker 7: Bateman and then the the block punt Lamar's throwing and
- 15:15Speaker 7: ill advised uh you know, fade route to OBJ that
- 15:19Speaker 7: gets picked off and it just kind of snowballed on him.
- 15:22Speaker 3: They're better than that. I think the Ravens are gonna
- 15:24Speaker 3: be okay. Here. I think they've got enough on defense.
- 15:27Speaker 7: You know, you start to get you get Marlon Humphrey
- 15:29Speaker 7: back a little bit more comfortable, you know, in the lineup,
- 15:32Speaker 7: and you know you've probably not seen him out there
- 15:34Speaker 7: on the island against you know, George Pickens, you know,
- 15:36Speaker 7: that way until he gets up to you know, wherever.
- 15:39Speaker 7: He needs to be one hundred percent because he went healthy.
- 15:42Speaker 7: He's one of the best in the game. So I
- 15:44Speaker 7: feel I feel like they're gonna They're gonna find a
- 15:46Speaker 7: way here Baltimore is to get this thing rolling. I
- 15:48Speaker 7: just I do kind of wonder kind of like the
- 15:50Speaker 7: Steelers outside of the Lamar Jackson run game, like can
- 15:53Speaker 7: they find enough with Justice Hill and with Gus Edwards
- 15:57Speaker 7: because it just hasn't felt that way for much of
- 16:01Speaker 7: this season with JK.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Dobbins out, Yeah, missing some of that running back production.
- 16:05Speaker 2: Still their fourth in the league because Lamar adding his
- 16:08Speaker 2: legs into that mix and still being such a big threat.
- 16:11Speaker 3: We wanted to be healthy at the end of the year.
- 16:13Speaker 8: Go go ahead.
- 16:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm just saying, like wan to be careful with that.
- 16:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's probably a good idea, all right. Speaking of
- 16:20Speaker 2: those Ravens here, the NFL London games March on exclusively

- 17:26Speaker 8: Well, there you go.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I'll plug there from Scottie Hansen. Last week, the rookie
- 17:30Speaker 2: draft went well for Bucky. He got three points from
- 17:33Speaker 2: Bryce Young. He also got three points from Puka Akua,
- 17:36Speaker 2: so if he comes away with six, me and Rhet
- 17:38Speaker 2: we tied with three apiece. I got the eighth chan three,
- 17:41Speaker 2: he got h one point. He's us the second place
- 17:43Speaker 2: finisher all the way down the board with Strouds, Spears
- 17:45Speaker 2: and Flowers.
- 17:46Speaker 8: But by the way, huh Spears.
- 17:49Speaker 2: I'm I'm going back through my notes from last week,
- 17:51Speaker 2: and it looked like it took Gibbs there Red, So how.
- 17:55Speaker 8: The heck did you get a plot for a guy
- 17:56Speaker 8: that you didn't even take it?
- 18:00Speaker 7: As it turns out, the injury report, Uh, the injury
- 18:03Speaker 7: report was updated a little bit as we got closer
- 18:07Speaker 7: to game time, and it turns out active, So okay,
- 18:13Speaker 7: So just like a good fantasy manager, subbed him out
- 18:17Speaker 7: and then subbed Spears back in.
- 18:20Speaker 3: So don't worry about it. I'm taking care of it
- 18:22Speaker 3: so we can so we can do the waiver wire. Yeah,
- 18:25Speaker 3: I hit the wa Wait.
- 18:26Speaker 4: A minute, were the first position on the waiver wire?
- 18:29Speaker 4: I mean was the first?
- 18:31Speaker 7: Well yeah, because I was the last release coming out
- 18:33Speaker 7: of last week, so I'm definitely first position.
- 18:37Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:37Speaker 1: Uh.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Overall overall for the season, Buck is in a commanding lead.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Now he's in first place. I'm in second. I've got
- 18:43Speaker 2: the ground to make up. And uh and Rett's just
- 18:46Speaker 2: trying to hey, you know, just trying to get back
- 18:48Speaker 2: these creative tactics that he's using.
- 18:50Speaker 8: Yeah, maybe that'll help.
- 18:52Speaker 4: Well, the good thing I'm I'm look, I'm I'm like
- 18:54Speaker 4: Mario Chris Ball. I'm not gonna take me. I'm gonna
- 18:56Speaker 4: keep running the ball. So we'll see what happened.
- 18:58Speaker 3: Wow, Okay, I might fumble one, all.
- 19:04Speaker 8: Right, No Richardson, Yeah that was terrible.
- 19:09Speaker 2: No richard this week. So we're gonna take quarterbacks off
- 19:11Speaker 2: the table. We're gonna go back to what we've done
- 19:13Speaker 2: a few weeks ago, which is a tight end to
- 19:15Speaker 2: wide receiver running back. As it turns out, I have
- 19:18Speaker 2: the first pick, which the longer we do this rookie
- 19:20Speaker 2: drafted more, I'm realizing you don't want the first pick.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I'd rather be in that two hole because I think
- 19:26Speaker 2: you've got a chance to get two winners there picking
- 19:29Speaker 2: in that second spot. Anyways, first pick I am going
- 19:32Speaker 2: to go. I'm gonna go with I'm gonna go with
- 19:37Speaker 2: b Jhon Robinson here with the first pick. I think
- 19:39Speaker 2: he's been the first pick darn near every single week.
- 19:41Speaker 2: But I'm going to go Bjon. I feel like that's
- 19:43Speaker 2: a guaranteed three points for me.
- 19:45Speaker 8: I need it. I gotta have it. Buck, you're up.
- 19:49Speaker 5: Oh, since you're going running back out of the gate,
- 19:51Speaker 5: I'm not gonna go that because the running backs have
- 19:53Speaker 5: been a little inconsistent.
- 19:54Speaker 4: So let's go with.
- 19:57Speaker 8: M oh.
- 19:59Speaker 4: M. So did the Rams have by week?
- 20:01Speaker 8: Because no, they don't go by.
- 20:03Speaker 4: They're playing Okay, So I'm gonna take So I'm gonna
- 20:05Speaker 4: take Pooka.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Let me take po take a work going Pooka.
- 20:08Speaker 8: Yeah, smart, smart, proof.
- 20:11Speaker 7: Uh well, I'm gonna just gonna go ahead and lock
- 20:12Speaker 7: up my three points now and get Sammy Laporta.
- 20:16Speaker 3: In a tight end.
- 20:19Speaker 7: Oh yeah, look at you, so got my not a
- 20:22Speaker 7: whole lot of the rookie tight ends making big time
- 20:24Speaker 7: impacts right now. So Laporta far and away the winner there,
- 20:27Speaker 7: So give me Sammy and then I will lock up.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I'm just I don't know if I can, if I.
- 20:33Speaker 7: Can go Gibbs again and then have to, you know,
- 20:36Speaker 7: hit the waiver wire if he's not if he's not available,
- 20:39Speaker 7: So I don't I don't think I'm gonna do that.
- 20:40Speaker 8: Great. It's a great luxury to have. It's a great luxury.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I mean it.
- 20:45Speaker 7: I am still first on the in the waiver wire priority,
- 20:47Speaker 7: which is great. But I think in that light I
- 20:53Speaker 7: am going to I'm gonna end up going back to
- 20:58Speaker 7: I'm gonna go back to the well. I'm gonna go
- 21:00Speaker 7: to j Spears.
- 21:01Speaker 5: Oh okay, all right, Tozzie Spears. Great Tozzie Spears. I
- 21:05Speaker 5: am going to go because I get a running back.
- 21:07Speaker 5: I'm gonna go a little off the grid, but I'm
- 21:08Speaker 5: hoping that it pays off with me. How about Zach
- 21:11Speaker 5: Charmona from the Seattle Seahawks, Me and my running back
- 21:13Speaker 5: as well.
- 21:13Speaker 8: Woo.
- 21:15Speaker 2: Yeah, I appreciated that because that allows me to get
- 21:20Speaker 2: the tight end that I want as well as the
- 21:23Speaker 2: receiver that I want. Uh So I'm gonna go. I'll
- 21:25Speaker 2: go first with Jordan Addison. Justin Jefferson gone. That means
- 21:29Speaker 2: a lot of balls going Jordan Adison's way. I feel
- 21:32Speaker 2: great about that pick. Although I will tell you if
- 21:35Speaker 2: it had fallen another way, if Bucky had gone receiver there,
- 21:37Speaker 2: I was gonna go with the tar heel with Josh
- 21:39Speaker 2: Downs to get.
- 21:39Speaker 8: A new name in the mix.
- 21:41Speaker 2: He was he was in the he was on the
- 21:43Speaker 2: list there, he was third. But now I've got my
- 21:45Speaker 2: second guy. So I'm gonna go Jordan Adison, and then
- 21:47Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Dalton Kinka.
- 21:48Speaker 3: He's on my list too, as it turns out.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Is it is gonna be my tight end there. So
- 21:52Speaker 2: I come away with Bijon Addison and Kincaid. Bucky you
- 21:55Speaker 2: are up next, Okay.
- 21:57Speaker 5: So look, we saw him play a little bit last night,
- 21:59Speaker 5: and I don't think the Ray, So I'm gonna go
- 22:01Speaker 5: with Uh, can I go with Michael Martin?
- 22:03Speaker 4: Can I go with the Area the Yeah? Mayor, let's
- 22:07Speaker 4: Michael Mayor.
- 22:08Speaker 3: Okay, so we're all good.
- 22:11Speaker 7: Yeah, And I like, you know, Josh Downs, you know,
- 22:16Speaker 7: six catches on six targets last week from from Gardner
- 22:18Speaker 7: Minshew kind of wonder you know now that Gardner, you know,
- 22:21Speaker 7: is back in the saddle here for the next couple
- 22:23Speaker 7: of weeks. If that that that target chair is only
- 22:25Speaker 7: gonna increase for Downs.
- 22:28Speaker 3: So I'm liking that. Uh, but Zay Flowers, I mean it's.
- 22:32Speaker 7: Just consistent and he's essentially the number one if she
- 22:35Speaker 7: catches the ball.
- 22:36Speaker 8: He had out one hundred last week.
- 22:38Speaker 7: Yeah, I know, yeah, give me give me Za here, Okay,
- 22:44Speaker 7: So I finish up with Porda, kaj Spears and say
- 22:50Speaker 7: flowers nice.
- 22:51Speaker 2: And unless something were to happen to any of these guys,
- 22:53Speaker 2: maybe in the first quarter, second quarter, then you can
- 22:55Speaker 2: just make a call to Drew and then throw somebody
- 22:57Speaker 2: out in the mix.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 22:58Speaker 3: We definitely sub that. It's gonna be great.
- 23:01Speaker 4: And I loved it. You don't have to go by it.
- 23:03Speaker 5: You don't have to run I guess drewis commissioner, but
- 23:05Speaker 5: you don't have to run anything by the board or anything.
- 23:08Speaker 4: Just a movie house.
- 23:11Speaker 3: It's no question about it.
- 23:12Speaker 8: Today. That's fantastic. Good for you.
- 23:15Speaker 2: By the way, one name I want to mention here
- 23:16Speaker 2: that we didn't draft, but it was in the mix here,
- 23:18Speaker 2: and I think if he plays like he did last week,
- 23:20Speaker 2: he is going to end up getting drafted by US. Julia
- 23:23Speaker 2: McLoughlin for the Broncos, the running back. I went back
- 23:26Speaker 2: and was looking through my notes on him because he
- 23:28Speaker 2: was out of Youngstown State. He's undersized a little over
- 23:32Speaker 2: five eight, one hundred ninety two pounds. He ran four
- 23:34Speaker 2: four to four the nuggets on him, huge production he's
- 23:37Speaker 2: key can press and bounce. Had a big sixty four
- 23:39Speaker 2: yard screen against Kentucky, which is interesting because he scored
- 23:42Speaker 2: on the screen last week against the Jets. I say,
- 23:45Speaker 2: this is a really fun change of pace back and
- 23:47Speaker 2: if you think about Sean Payton kind of having that
- 23:49Speaker 2: guy to use in the passing game, undersized, quick athletic.
- 23:53Speaker 8: You know, it's a long.
- 23:53Speaker 2: List of guys he's had success with, going back to
- 23:56Speaker 2: darren Sprolls probably the first one there. So a fun
- 23:59Speaker 2: player there for the Wroncos to keep an eye on
- 24:01Speaker 2: in the future. All Right, that's gonna do it for
- 24:03Speaker 2: us today. Fun rookie draft again. Bucky has got the lead,
- 24:06Speaker 2: but we are chasing him down. I feel good about
- 24:08Speaker 2: my draft. I like my guys that I've got here,
- 24:09Speaker 2: b Jon Robinson, Jordan Addison, Dalton Kincaid. Maybe this could
- 24:12Speaker 2: be I need a nine point week. Who knows, maybe
- 24:15Speaker 2: that will get me in the mix here, try and
- 24:17Speaker 2: catch up to Buck. But again, appreciate you guys hanging
- 24:20Speaker 2: with us today. It's been a fun episode.
- 24:21Speaker 4: Again.
- 24:22Speaker 2: We've got five a week, so one each and every day.
- 24:24Speaker 2: Do us a favor and download, subscribe, leave us a comment.
- 24:27Speaker 2: We do appreciate those, and we'll see you next time.
- 24:30Speaker 2: Right here on, move the sticks
